Came here for their brunch and the service was horrible, waited 15 min to get our beverages. When the food arrived they didn't even put our place settings, they ran out of champagne, the bread was cold, the scrambled eggs sucked tasted like they were out of a box. I've had better tasting breakfast at IHOP or Denny's, I expect a different level of food even if it's at a small boutique hotel.

Horrible service, Horrible Pricing!. Had to wait 45 minutes outside for dinner and no one came to help. The menu outside is pricy. Had to leave to have dinner else where. Never will I go back to this place.

Love this little bistro and bar - it made our last night in Florida a memorable occasion. The food, all small plates, was unexpectedly good. The chef Fabian went out of his way to make me a dessert even though he was getting ready to close down - and that banana nutella sandwich was fabulous. The bartender, Jeffrey, was an awesome guy - unfortunately we stayed way too late talking and drinking, which did not make for a great next morning! But the atmosphere is cozy and friendly in a modern, hip setting. Highly recommend!

MODERN, YET COZY. Bistro Urbano is a chic little hotel restaurant conveniently located on Brickell just North of the Rickenbacker. It used to be a Holiday Inn, but you'd never know it because the renovation is so modern and complete. The most striking thing about the lobby is the beautiful artwork on display. The colors are bright and cheerful, but the overall look is sleek and elegant. The bar may be the best thing about Bistro Urbano. It's tiny, but they have delicious cocktails, wonderful service, and great places to sit. My favorite spot is outside by the fire pit overlooking the the pool. Inside, there are some cozy couches for intimate chats. The little restaurant actually has 3 menus, and we were given a choice of ordering from any of them. There's a bar menu for tapas, a lunch menu with sandwiches, and a dinner menu. My companion and I shared a bunch of vegetarian options: gazpacho, poppers, tostones, and plantain chips with salsa. The tostones were far and away the best. The presentation was pretty, and the flavors were sweet and distinctive. I wasn't crazy about the poppers. The peppers were too large and they weren't cooked enough for my taste. For dessert, we ordered key lime pie. It didn't seem homemade; it was a bit dry. I would definitely come back for drinks and snacks. They have a 2 for 1 happy hour in the early evening which makes it a perfect place to unwind by the fire after work.

Visited here on Sunday evening, as part of the Groupon special that was being offered ($30 for $60 worth of food). I wasn't very impressed when the hotel was pointed out to me, as I am used to luxury hotels being in Brickell (think Epic, Conrad, Icon) and this looked like some sort of out of place tiny hotel in the middle of the residential section of Brickell Avenue, but once I stepped inside, I changed my mind instantly. This place had bright, modern artwork, and everything looked new and clean. It looked like something out of a modern art magazine shoot. It's funny that I should mention that, as a photo shoot was taking place at the moment we walked in. We were surprised to be the only ones sitting at the restaurant the entire time, but maybe it was due to the fact that it was around 6 p.m. (late lunch/early dinner) for us. We were told that the waiter was absent and therefore, we had a cheery young man help us with serving our meal, even though he is the bartender: the famous Jeffrey! He recommended the calamari and we took his suggestion. Although the cook forgot to make our calamari and it was brought after our mahi-mahi entrees, Jeffrey didn't charge us for it, so that was great. He was very attentive even though he had his hands full serving drinks to the other patrons. The mahi-mahi was juicy and the portion was one of the biggest I have seen in a restaurant. The calamari had shoestring fries with it and was also delicious. We even got a "two free desserts on your next visit" coupon from Jeffrey. Honestly, I ask that you please give this place a chance, don't judge it by the exterior. The food, the staff, and the interior are all great. I also checked out one of their rooms and it was pleasantly clean, cozy and with a huge sink in the bathroom and a nice glass shower door rather than the typical moldy plastic shower curtain you find in hotels. There is wi-fi, a nice pool, and a fire pit. The Seaquarium and Key Biscayne are right there, so this is a great place to bring family and friends that are visiting Miami, and like I said, the restaurant will leave you pleasantly surprised.

U have to step inside this chic hotel in order to enjoy it's fabulous bistro & lounge but once U do, it's another world. This place is practically new, I remember when the Holiday Inn was torn down & this new hotel was built just over a year ago. Very modern & love the art work. Best place to stay for my guests who visit Miami.

Uniquely inviting facilites; welcoming, friendly, attentive and skilled staff; good drinks and better food both carefully prepared by professionals who understand their craft. The Hotel Urbano and its Bistro Urbano have brought both value and excitement to one of Miami's most historic and upscale neighborhoods.
