Visited for the first time yesterday evening. Ordered the Super Bandeja Paisa which was a platter with chicken, steak, rice with an egg on top, pork rind, sweet plantains, and an arepa. It was all pretty good and tasty. The problem, however, was the service. Our waiter was awful. It took forever to order and I couldn't get a refill and it was like pulling teeth to get him to stop by the table. Another good thing about this place were the prices. It is priced well and you definitely get your moneys worth.

This place is super yum! The service is superb. Just sit down and ask for a tray of their meat empanadas and their cheese empanadas! Then top it off with their house dessert: El Capricho. OH. EM. GEE!!!!! A+mazing!

We came here just for the fried red snapper. No really we did. My Aunt ordered 4 red snappers and 1 skirt steak dinners. We devoured the fried red snappers while the skirt steak was passed over. Coming from a Vietnamese background fried fish is a staple household meal, but the only way to completely satisfy this meal is to eat it with rice and nuoc mam (Vietnamese Fish Sauce) and so we had to bring some. Yes, we are guilty. We brought our own nuoc mam and it made the dish. The fried red snappers were a good portion with a crispy and fresh taste. It came with a side of white rice and fried yuca (high recommend the fried yuca). As for the skirt steak, well, it was cooked well done, so sad because the cut of meat looked delicious. We're all medium rare steak kind of people so seeing a steak cooked well done is torture for us, needless to say we all only had a small piece and took the rest home. My Dad who doesn't like fish, but will eat fried fish or fresh sashimi, couldn't stop eating the red snapper! He alone had 1 1/2 fish! If you didn't like fish but saw this man eat you couldn't help but want to try it yourself! Bamboo will definitely be on my list for next time I'm in Miami.

Que Rico! This place was the bomb. We've been living in the area for 6 yrs and it's a shame it's taken us this long to eat here. We dropped off a prescription at Walgreens and decided to give it a shot while we waited. Everything the reviews say is true - excellent service and delicious food. The place is quaint and cozy but not stuffy. Staff is friendly, attentive and well versed on the menu. We ordered a couple of deditos de queso, empanadas, a chicken in mushroom sauce and a bandeja Paisa bc it would be sacrilege to not do so in a Colombian joint. Everything was delicious - freshly made to order, not greasy (empanadas are always greasy but these weren't too bad), full of flavor and portions were generous. Their menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have big screens TVs playing soccer games so I am sure this place hosts some serious soccer watching parties when Colombia is playing.

Bamboo is the best place in Miami if you want to have a typical sancocho, people that work in this locations are great and the service is good. Dont miss the bandeja paisa and the sancocho de gallina.

I've been here a few times for their amazing sancocho de costilla, arepa con queso, empanada de carne with picante. Today I'm having the baby churrasco, mashed potatoes and salad. Cheers! Service is always pleasant and attentive.

The empanadas and picante are amazing!!! The food is good. Some times it lacks flavor. Staff is also very good! Service is fast and food is not expensive.

Delish empanadas!!! Always a hit!!! Picante to put on them is spectacular too!!! Staff is always courteous, cordial and friendly. If ever in the area, you should stop by. It's a tiny restaurant which makes it better in my opinion - more of a personal touch!

This is my go to restaurant. They are affordable, quick, and have excellent service. I never have to wait long to get my food here and their prices are great! I am here at least once a week. My favorite is the pandeja paisa with their limonada.

Awesome Colombian food at a good price. Restaurant is a bit small and cramped, so we always do take out, but if you eat there make sure to ask for Maribel. She'll make the dining experience that much better

Their food and service is one of the best in latin restaurant experience I had. Their food is always fresh and made to order, bamboo's kitchen is very well maintained and every item of food that I have ordered comes infused with the true Colombian taste. Hats off to bamboo's chefs!!! Their customer experience is bar none the very best. I always leave with a big smile and a full belly. You girls are the heart of bamboo. I feel like I am home when I go there. I feel welcome and special every single time i go. To Nubia, Emilio and the whole bamboo crew I thank you for giving me the possibility to enjoy Colombian food at its fine at an affordable prices. Keep going what you do best! You guys have no competition.

Wow! Been here at least twice a month since I discovered this Colombian restaurant, today I ordered my churrrasco with tostones, waitress made a mistake and brought it with fried yuca, I told her about the mistake and while I am eating she removes the yuca off my plate. She tells me that the cook wanted his 4 pieces of fried yuca back in an exchange for my tostones.. WOW! I think they might have lost a loyal customer from the neighborhood.

Lunch Special is amazing! Doesn't get too packed and the service is great! They start you off with a soup and then the main entree all for $5.95! O.o The entree is protein and two sides: rice and guac salad...yummy! Their caprichosa dessert is the bomb. Loved it! I plan on coming back here again!

First time at a Colombian restaurant for breakfast. Well different experience then the typical Cuban place. The scrambled eggs with onions and tomato was excellent. Then I had a pan bon delicious bread made with cheese awesome. Topped it off with an Arepa with white cheese and a cafe con leche with a hint of cinnamon that was to die for. Service was great pleasant and with a smile. All this on Thanksgiving morning.

Wow! This place exceeded my expectations. First of all, have a natural drink. I had the pineapple mintr juice and boy was it good!!! Also the homemade lemonade was fresh and more like an icee. As for food I had the hawaiin chicken breast which was two big pieces of meat covered in mozarella cheese and sorrounded by pineapple sauce. They have parilladas as well. The attention was also great and quick. The place is not too big or fancy but it makes up in quality of service and food.

Im giving Bamboo 1 star because the owner is a jerk! This is not a rating of their food, which is amazing and quite cheap. This is a review for how the owner treats his employees. He makes them pay for their own lunch, and if there are customers he rips their food out of their hands and throws it away. He also takes part of their tips. I'm sorry but I can't condone that treatment of the nicest waitresses I've ever experienced. My family and I have been loyal customers of this place basically since it opened its first restaurant on 56th. Now we've come to notice this unsavory treatment of its employees and we don't go as much as we used to, if we do we go to the 42nd location and TIP IN CASH. those ladies work hard and shouldn't get taken advantage of like that.

Never Again!! Perhaps I should have gone for lunch or breakfast but alas, I did not. Where to begin; on this our third visit in 4 months, as usual the servers were sweet and eager to please, possibly because the wait staff is constantly turning over. Despite ordering in perfect Cuban Spanish our meal ($60 for two including wine), every single item was wrong. Instead of grilling our fish it was deep-fried to a crisp. Instead of salads we got rice. And for veggies we received what was clearly a can of mixed carrots and peas -and this is with the owner sitting and supervising. Oh yeah, Iced tea refills were $2 each. As much as I try to support locally-owned businesses Bamboo is beyond redemption. (wordy, huh?). The good news, fresh, delicious seafood served by friendly professionals in a fun atmosphere is right down the street (10000 Miller) at The Fish House. Same cost --less with their coupon, and a great time. Glad I got that out of my system --the disappointment and the inedible meal. Better days.

If you want to try nice Colombian food, I think this is the place in the SW area in Miami. It is a small place though, perhaps not for a family reunion but definitively for lunch on weekdays. I've tried bandeja paisa, cazuela de frijoles and tasty traditional Colombian dishes. The staff is very nice, they always have a smile for u. But I think one of the good things about this place is the price. I've been in other Colombian restaurants and after I tried this one I felt I've been ripped off by the others. Colombian food is soooo expensive in Miami... I understand there are lots of Colombian people here but come on... Colombia is just 3 1/2 hours away from here. Anyway, enjoy if you have the opportunity.

I live close to this restaurant. Since day one when I found it, it has been my favorite restaurant in town; their cooking is delicious, attention is great. What I like the most is their seafood, you need to try the Pargo Frito. This fish is from Colombia (I was told by the owner they import it directly since they live in south america, not USA) and is so fresh that it looks as if it were just caught! Another personal favorite is the Filete en Salsa de Coco; this is fish in a coconut sauce which is just unbelievable. Only thing is that the place is very small, but that is also a good thing because you will feel like you are at home dinning with your family and friends.

I wasn't that crazy about the breakfast here. The arepas could be more moist, the eggs were nothing special, and the sides were just rice and beans. I also had steak, which was just thin steak and wasn't very flavorful - you'd have to top it with sauce on the table.

As I drove to the shopping plaza where Bamboo is located while on my lunch break I had no idea what I wanted to eat. As one of the other reviewers mentioned I decided to look for that taco place. Low & behold the place shut down and I just settled with food from my native country. I was just in time for their lunch special which was under $7. I had plantain soup, stew-type pork, white rice, patacon & a side salad. That was a heck of a deal. Since I only had less than an hr to eat I took it to go. It didn't take long to prepare & when I was enjoying my meal at work, my fellow co-workers kept asking, "Whoa, where'd you get that from?" . I would definitely go there again. Oh and the owner was real sweet & welcoming. Keep up the good work!

So, i was on my way to school and wanted to go eat at taco diva well, when i got there the place no longer existed and now it had become a Colombian / Latin American restaurant named Bamboo well, i was starving and didn't feel like crossing the street to eat McDonald's so, i decided to give this restaurant a try. i went in quickly since, i was in a rush and just order an aprea de queso ( im always on the hunt for a good arepa de queso) an empanada, and a mango juice that was made with milk. The food over all was good. i wish that i could have tried a full plate, they sounded delicious but, unfortunately i had no time. As i was waiting for my food the owner started taking to me and told me that the restaurant was brand new and that it had been open for 3 months. the owner was really nice and told me that next that I'm on the way to school and want some food and are in a rush to call ahead of time to place the order so, when i get there my food will be ready which, was really cool.
