BAD BAD BAD SERVICE! Jefferson Street... Why waste your money there if they don't care about their customers? The guy with the beard is supper rude and vulgar, and no one seem to care about when a customer make a customize order. They are super slow and they ignore you even though when you stand in front of the cashier with no one in front of you. They don't even say hello or how can I help you. It seems like they rather lose customers than provide a good service. I used to come here once or twice a week but every time I go, its has gotten worst and today was my last tried and I even left without my food because I was being yelled because they couldn't get the order right! Advice: customers keep your store open and even maybe provide for your family, get better employees or teach them how to be polite, respectful and treat people!

Was there at 5pm sure that the variety of pastries isn't that big Anymore at this time and they had no avocado. The smoothie was ok, as well I bought a almond honey croissant which had a great size and the taste was good just not very fresh, was still from the morning

you cant mess up scramble eggs! well the thing is, they are not really scrambled but microwaved! I am tired of places who look like or say they are humble and warm and simple and healthy, but they microwave the eggs. not cool.

Empanadas were edible. And the cheese+spinach were actually good. Tasteless sandwiches. Tried several - all tasted exactly the same, all bland. Place popular with local healthy ppl cause they have high protein bread. I expected something interesting for dessert, but there's nothing "bakery" about the place. Nothing special, find more flavorful stuff (anywhere!).

Writing this review reminds that I need to spend more time at Taste. Finding a bakery to cater to your coffee/sweet/working on your laptop needs all the while providing good outlets and a thankful lack of SoBe 'tude is not as easy as one might think. Thankfully, there's Taste. I try not to be *that* guy. You know, the one who arrives early in the morning, takes te biggest table, piles all his isht everywhere, takes multiple outlets, and nurses a small cup of coffee for six hours. I hate that guy. But, I found myself needing to post up in a bakery/coffee shop for a good part of my day in order to work and interview folks so I took a two-top, found an outlet, corralled my things as best as possible, and ordered the first of two feedings. For breakfast, I started with a Blue Blast smoothie (whoa; fate). I was sold at 'peach juice' but the inclusion of blueberries, bananas and strawberries didn't hurt either. Since I was actually indulging in breakfast, I ordered a large and to help the health go down, I ordered a cinnamon coffee cake muffin to balance out the antioxidants. Why don't I do this more often? Both drink and cake were fantastic. The smoothie burst with berry/stone fruit flavor and, truthfully, most blue drinks get an automatic thumbs up from me. The cake was moist, large in size, packed with cinnamon, and that crunchy-sweet stuff (oh yeah; brown sugar) that makes decadence decadent. Hopped up on sugar, I was energized to not only spread the gospel and find the Robin to my Batman, but I was able to blast through a significant amount of other things as well. But, don't forget: I was here all day. Not only did the owners/managers *not* harass me, they asked if i needed anything (water, if I had too much sun/glare, etc.). They never made me feel badly about taking up space in their business. Morning led to afternoon and breakfast turned into lunch. But, Treat had me covered on that. Since I was pretending to be healthy, I continued the ruse and ordered the Ultimate Salad. With a name like that, how could I not? And, it lived up to the name -- lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, dried cranberries, feta cheese, and turkey with a side of ginger dressing. I asked for two dressings. What? It's ginger. It's good for you... and the salad was absolutely delicious. Often I walk the streets of South Beach in search of food (yes, food, you perv; go to church!) and often I find myself cursing the fact that I can't find the very food I just wrote about. I'm a slow learner. Don't be like me.

Taste was a pleasant surprise! First off, there is a convenient parking lot across the street (Miami Beach convenient parking?! Yay!). The parking rate was $1.75/hour which seems reasonable for the location. From the moment I walked in I knew this was where I wanted to plant myself for a few hours of working on my laptop. I saw a few other people that had had the same idea and attribute that welcoming atmosphere to the fact that wifi is free when you buy something to eat (can be as small as a croissant) and they had outlets by the tables (high tops and regular tables). They had the typical bakery nosh, but I was stoked to see an extensive menu on the wall of fresh smoothies, veggie-packed salads, and enticing sandwiches. I went with a beef empanada and the small Blue Blast Smoothie- made up of a blended concoction of blueberries, bananas, strawberries and peach juice. The empanada (I love the fact that every eatery in Miami has these) was a bit underwhelming. It was lukewarm and not the best I've had down south. The smoothie on the other hand was delicious! I am usually the girl that leaves half of her drink but before I knew it I had sucked the whole thing down and wanted another! Great flavor and I totally dug the texture (gotta love them blueberry seeds)! Later in the day I ordered the Ultimate Salad which consisted of mixed greens, tomatoes, fresh avocado topped with dried cranberries, feta cheese, and all-natural turkey breast with a side of honey ginger dressing. When they brought it over I was shocked at how big it was! I loved the fact that it had a good fill of dark greens, mixed in with crunchy romaine. The turkey breast was shaved and paired perfectly with the cranberries and avocado. The mix was so good in fact that I only realized after a few bites that I had not even poured the dressing on the salad yet! The dressing was DIVINE! I'm a ginger-loving nut and it was absolutely delicious (I probably could have taken a straight shot of it...). Next time I may order an extra cup of dressing to save for home... DON'T JUDGE ME! ;) Overall Taste had great, friendly service (she even giggled at my totally un-funny joke about the giant cookies) and wonderful, fresh food and drink options.

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!! Go to the one on Alton, that is wonderful. This location is so mismanaged it is ridiculous! I think the son "manages" this location.... The total lack of customer service and care about same is obvious. Save yourself the aggravation and go to the original location down the street.

Crescent sandwich. Yummy. Warm, turkey, bacon. Coke, not Pepsi. Sums it up right there.

I always come to this location and the one on Alton Road, I usually get the chicken avocado on ciabatta bread but due to my diet limitations I decided to try to Cobb salad... The eggs, ham and bacon were my favorite part.. I didn't like the texture of the lettuce and the dressing was too sweat, I was expecting more since I paid $8.99 for a salad. But I have to give 4 stars bc my husband's meal was delicious and he loved it! Friendly staff and complementary wi-fi

Mauriano, David and Daniella are the bomb! They always remember their customers and give top notch service. Smoothies are awesome here; I et almond soy with protein and the food is off the chain. Literally every food item; the chef is magical. Previously they had some people who were horrible at their job but this teAm is too amazing! Thanks guys #dreamteam

Have not been to the Jefferson store in awhile and the sandwich was very good. The sandwich was custom made, fresh and crispy. The noise level was better than the Alton store. Still there was some banging from knocking out the coffee of the filter. A really good cashier/manager will set this store on its way.

Well I really didn't want to do this but I have to. I don't even know how they're still in business. When I started working in the area I thought it was gonna be my "go to" place for lunch or whatever snack I wanted throughout the day. I've given this place many chances in the past but honestly the food is just ok and the service is just way below average. I hate to do this because there's some people there that I actually like but one rotten apple is screwing it for them. So I went this morning with enough time to order my coffee and croissant but they took for EFING ever to toast it and when I asked them "did u guys go to Paris to get my croissant??" They two guys behind the counter laughed ( I understand my joke was kinda funny! ;) ) but still ... Made me feel very unappreciated as a valued customer. So do yourself a favor and don't EVER go there, well you should only go if you have one of those crazy fetishes where you love when they treat you bad and laugh at you, I know you people are out there, but I'm not one of those :) . Good luck to them and their customers.

This place is getting 2 stars because the food is pretty good. However, the service is terrible and the people are so rude. The lady at the cash register is the biggest bitch to paying customers.

Great! Breakfast. They have really good lunch specials. Its a bit expensive if you don't get the especial.

Goto the one on Alton this one is terrible. The coffee is bad the girl out the counter was snobby and I never said I wanted my croissant grilled you just ruined the flakey croissant. At least ask before, I don't have time to go back there. Lastly they microwave the eggs so hard that they taste like rubber. It takes two minutes to cook eggs. Really? The worst

Taste Bakery is just a few blocks away from my condo building and I'm so glad it's within walking distance. (Fyi, for those hung-over Sunday morning they also deliver :) Their breads and muffins are delicious, but my absolutely favorite go-to dish is here is their Thai Chicken Salad. When you order it inside Taste, the salad is compiled fresh right in front of you. The chicken is sliced very thin so that you can get a little bit of chicken, crisp veggies and sauce all in one bite on your fork. My favorite component of the salad is there home-made peanut sauce dressing. It's thick and creamy and just nutty enough but not overpowering. Taste Bakery also has free wifi!

  • Marcos R.

Taste is very understated, but the food there is top notch. If I'm in the neighborhood in the morning hours, I always get the peanut butter and jelly muffin. No joke. It sounds odd, but they manage to pull it off well. I've never been disappointed with any of the food there.

If I had to come up with one word to define Taste, it would be MEDIOCRE. There are really only 2 reasons I have returned to Taste. 1) Convenience: It's right around the corner from work. 2) Price: I usually spend under $10 on a meal here. If you're looking for a place you'll crave, a place you're eager to take your friends and coworkers, or just a place that hits the spot, I'd say keep looking. However, if you're just trying to refuel during the day until you can thoroughly enjoy your next meal, go for it.

Can service, wait time, food and availability of items be any worse? I come here because it's right around the corner from work, and I've never ever had a good experience, all of them were mediocre. But this last one was it and I'm not coming back. My order went like this: Me: can I have the mango madness smoothie? Grumpy lady behind the register: "We don't have mango, I can make it with pineapple" Me: ok. Can I have the Brie and pear sandwich? Grumpy lady behind the register: We don't have pear. I can put pineapple or strawberries. Me: No, it's ok. Can I have the veggie sandwich on a ciabatta? Grumpy lady behind the register: We don't have ciabatta Me: Whole wheat is fine then. Grumpy lady behind the register: Oh wait, we don't have roasted red peppers. Me: No worries, make it without. Then I sit and wait for 10, 20 minutes. And if I dare ask how the order is coming I get "I am working on two orders at the same time, ok?" Then the price- $22 for a smoothie and crappy sandwich. NOT coming back.

If there's one thing the beach is missing, it's a quiet and comfortable place to plug in and type away. Starbucks just won't cut it and sadly, our side of the bridge has no Panther Coffee or Lester's to offer the remotely or self-employed types a place to work. Thankfully, my lady friend offered up Taste this morning as the kind of spot amenable to working and chatting with a colleague. The communal table proved perfect (there's also less communal tables should that be your choosing) and the nearby outlet was easily accessible (none of that awkward coffeeshop stress to snag the only available energy source). Whether it's breakfast or lunch, Taste excels in both departments. We started with some smoothies and I found my almond, soy milk, banana and acai blend to slay in every manner. Yes, it was super. As the afternoon slipped away beneath our hard-at-work fingers, I found the chicken Cesar salad to be just the thing to satiate me until dinner. Overall, this would be a great spot to meet someone you're working with or interviewing. It'd also be good if you need to escape your work-from-home confines or just need a smoothie, salad or panini to hold you over. Free wifi within.

My boss brought me here when I was down in Miami for a business trip. It is off the side street of Lincoln Road and it is barely noticeable from outside. Once you enter though, you will see on their wall there are a lot of options for smoothies, sandwiches and salads. I was happy to get a chipotle chicken sandwich. It is so big that I was stuffing my face by the end of it. It is definitely a good deal for a big sandwich with amazing sauce and tasty chicken breast.

Convienently located a block away from my work. There salads and sandwiches are made fresh daily on the spot. My personal favorite is the ultimate salad. They also make great pastries and cookies.. Get the peanut butter cookie!

The staff were unobservant, unwilling to serve and generally did not care about the customers. There was a line and only two people working. One of them thought it was more important to watch the soccer game and text than to take an order or help make food. For the prices they are charging you would expect the service to be on point but it was definetely not th e case. I would hate to see this place when it gets really busy.

I came here for a long day of studying. The food here was great and there's fast free Wi-fi! The raspberry smoothie was amazing...and I know my smoothies. The chicken chipotle panini was also fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. I'd like to give this place 5 stars, but there was just a lack comfort and welcoming to the place. It reminded me of a cafe that you find in a hotel lobby, which you're pleasantly surprised by, but it doesn't make you want to come here and set up shop for hours studying, which is what I wanted from it. (Maybe it's just not supposed to be like that). As a cafe and a quick bite to eat (service is slow however), it works great.

  • R S.

Tried this place 4 times. The first two times service was slow and the girl behind the counter forgot to hand my order to the cook. And she was sitting on the counter talking to the other girl behind the counter. ..really? The last two times I called in my order I was told it would be ready in 15min. Giving them the benefit of doubt I waited 20min and needed to wait 10min in the restaurant! The food is good but next time if there is a next time I'd know to expect to wait awhile, I'll bring a book!

DO NOT GO TO TASTE BAKERY. I was a daily customer who purchased coffee and breakfast there each morning. After a few months I had a total of four separate credit cards stolen. After the third stolen credit card, I suspected it was Taste since it was the only business where all three cards were used. Due to my suspicion I would only use one certain card to purchase my coffee and ONLY use it at Taste. After only two purchases that card was ALSO stolen (Taste was the only place the card was used). If you suspect your card has been stolen from Taste Bakery I urge you to file a police report.

Food is pretty good, but they take forever. Make sure you have ample time to chill for a while, or even better, checkout their Alton Road location, which offers speedier service.

Pretty good Wi-Fi. A lot of outlets! I.e. -a good place to spend some time working. I took Caramel Latte, a chocolate chip cookie and mint tea. Coffee was a little bit too sweet, but the cookie and tea were good. Also, pretty fairly priced.

I work near Taste Bakery and have been dying to try it after my co-workers have spoken about how much they like it. I finally made it to Taste today and I am so happy I did because I loved it. For lunch I got the pesto panini which was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the pesto they put on it was wonderful. I fully enjoyed my sandwich and I can't wait till I go to Taste Bakery again.

Taste bakery is the best healthy breakfast or lunch value on Lincoln Road hands down. Plus you get an extra discount for having a SoBe Incard which makes it even better. My favorite wraps are the Protein Breakfast, Hot and Sweet Turkey, Baja Chicken, and Roast Beef Italiano. I've heard their salads are awesome too, but I love my wraps so much I can never get around to ordering one. Another big plus is the free wifi and good coffee. I've also eaten at the Alton Road location and both places kick ass.

This has become my favorite Spot to work and enjoy some coffee and the best lox & bagels I have found on south beach. The location on Jefferson avenue is my favorite because it's in the middle of everything yet on a side street which I find relaxing to sit outside. Great place to take your laptop and dog and sit outside.

  • Alice S.

The best place to grab a quick, inexpensive, high quality lunch on Lincoln Rd. For those of you unfamiliar with this South Beach establishment- my apologies. If you're jonesing for a delicious breakfast or lunch, no other place will do. Taste is one of the few places I'll eat on Lincoln Road. My favorites include the Breakfast Burrito, Hot & Sweet Turkey wrap, the Pesto Chicken sandwich and their Ceasar salad (which comes with a bagel breadstick thingy). Each entree comes with a side of potato or fruit salad (go for the potato salad--its the tops.) Their coffee selection is huge and they serve my absolute favorite tea brand- Mighty Leaf. *Note their bottled drinks run a little on the pricey side. High quality ingredients. Good food. GO.

its was ok! i just wanted a regular Chicken caeser salad, waited 10 minutes ! ok no worries, but i found a hair in my salad ! that killed it for me specially when i had eaten 85 % of it ! GUYS ! FOCUS ON YOUR CUSTOMERS AND FOOD PREPARATION ! life is not all fun and Jokes ! and cut the cell phones for your staff members ! not pro at all !

This place is one of my new fav's in South Beach. My friend had been telling me for years to try the location on Alton, but I never did for some reason. I ducked in here the other day when I went into Dog Bar for some dog food - it was pouring when I left and I decided to get a coffee and wait it out. And I'm really glad that I did! I love this place. Healthy food at super reasonable prices, which is almost unheard of in South Beach. I went back today and had an awesome egg white veggies and salsa breakfast wrap after my spinning class. I love that they pressed it in a panini maker, for a nice crunchy outside. I can't wait to go back and try the salads and sandwiches! Good coffee and smoothies too. The staff was very nice and I liked the atmosphere of the place, bright but homey at the same time. I highly recommend it.

Ambiance isn't as nice as the original Taste Bakery, but it is still nice. Food was almost as good as well. Still love the pesto chicken sandwich and free refills. I WISH the hours were past 6pm though as they will lose a lot of business from me...

After visiting Taste no less than six times, I regret to rate it so lowly. But, as happens so frequently in Miami Beach, the food simply cannot make up for the horrid customer service. Both people who work in the morning are unfortunately afflicted with that sobe attitude found so commonly outside clubs with velvet ropes. Only problem is, of course, this is a sandwich shop. The condescending, smug, too-busy-to-properly-serve-you air about the employees is truly unfortunate, because the food could get 4 stars. With the service a zero, they end up with two. Three times I've ordered a croissant and asked for it to be heated up. Once, it was lukewarm on the outside and fridge cold on the inside, so I didn't eat it. The next time, I had to have them put it put back in the warmer. The third time, I knew I was getting a cold croissant, so I asked to have it put back in, only to be told it was already hot. Sit down to eat it and, surprise! Cold in the middle. Oh, and that day (at 9am) they didn't have enough cash in their drawer for me to pay with a $20. Don't know if they have their eyes open on the way to work, but there is a bank right around the corner. Go get change! On a different visit, I asked for an iced coffee, only to be given and empty coffee cup and plastic cup full of ice, and be told to make it myself. Hot coffee + ice = 1/2 coffee, 1/2 water. Yum! The good news is you can feel perfectly ok about not going there, because the Alton Rd. location is delightful and the girls behind the counter there are friendly and sincere.

  • Chris C.

I have been a repeat customer for both Taste bakeries, for a long time. No more though because as other people correctly noted, the attitude of the girl who takes the orders at the Lincoln rd one, is completely ..out of bounds! She always gives an attitude (South beach attitude), rude, unwelcoming etc... Why can't somebody teach her basic manners, and customer service attitude??

    (1)
  • Lorna C.

I ordered their "famous" hummus and vegetable sandwich... it was actually disappointing. The bread wasn't great, the hummus wasn't that good and they forgot the sprouts! The cole-slaw which was included in the box, was pretty decent. I could have eaten a larger portion of that to make up for the hunger I experienced after not finishing my sandwich. I wouldn't go here again. (They are also quite slow in preparing the food as well.)

    (2)
  • Alex V.

I was very hungry and got into this place the lady who took my order was ok helping to go through the order and at the time to pay I needed to tell the guy at the till my order again and he was very unfriendly he should be doing anything else and not at customer service, food mediocre smoothie was not even taste as mango

    (2)
  • William B.

The coffee is good, and the food is fine, and they have free wifi, but it's inferior to the mother location on Alton road for two reasons. 1: The ambience isn't as nice, or at least doesn't invite a few hours of working on your laptop as readily. 2: They close in the middle of the afternoon! But they are right off of Lincoln Road, which is a much more convenient location for some (including me).

    (3)
  • Brittany R.

I don't even know where to begin. I used to love this place. I would order it EVERYDAY working only a couple of blocks down. I would get the same thing every single day, the Thai Chicken Salad. The place used to be my go-to. Lately, the portions are half of what they used to be. Which has been noticed by its usual customers. You think that a place you give consistent business to, would give you the courtesy of a heads up. Not only did they change their dressing (supposedly the distributor gave them the wrong one), they don't even tell me. Upon taking a bite, whatever was given to them, tasted and smelled spoiled and tangy. They also have given me the wrong salad, only to deliver me one with the wrong dressing that they know I don't eat. They've just gone downhill unfortunately.

  • Rebecca S.

Fresh, tasty and quick! A jem right off of Lincoln Rd on a quiet street. I'm obsessed with the Turkey Tantalizer on low carb bread and the cookies of course!! The owner is a doll and this is my favorite lunch break place! Thank you Taste!

When I was living on the beach on 9th and Lenox I was constantly walking to Taste on Alton for a smoothie or a sandwich. The muffin tops are genius... The peanut blast is delish and the wraps are filling. The only issue I have is the cost.. Its pretty pricey.. but this is Miami Beach.... Its perfectly acceptable to spend $6 on a smoothie.

I seriously eat at Taste a few time a week, even though up until now I thought it was pronounced Tasty. The food is really good and is always fresh and for under $10 you really can't beat it. Especially since it's located on Lincoln Road. They have a wide selection of sandwiches and salads and the salads are great.

  • Sam J.

I've unfortunately had taste over a dozen times because it is the only counter sandwich place near lincoln road. Simply put: there is no love in their food. Everything is haphazardly thrown together. Don't let their menu fool you. I really doubt they eat any of it when they go home at night, or even for lunch.

  • Andy L.

This place is the Shiz! I have never been anything less than completely satisfied with the items I order. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I am glad that they deliver but I wish they stayed open later than they do. Probably one of three orfour places that I have found on South Beach I ever bother going back to. Great food, low prices, and consistency brings me back again an again. The staff has always been friendly as well. I do want to mention that th one I visit is on Alton Road.
