The bistecca that I ordered tonight for $37 was bad. Bad quality of meat, with fat, tasteless. The waiter Oscar tried to do a good job. Pretty disappointing The mojito was good

I'm finding it difficult to choose an adjective that best describes the service at Puntino-Dal Toro as there are great number that are applicable. Here are just a few: appalling, dreadful, terrible, miserable, rotten, lousy, godawful and the old standby, horrible. The only factors that could possibly counterbalance such poor quality of service would be if the food was fantastic and free of charge; neither of which is the case.

The place is ok. Too expensive for the food and premises. If you have a group and EXPLICITLY ask for separate slit checks, the act like idiots and pretent you never mentioned. NEVER AGAIN FOR ME.Not to mention the mediocte food.

We were searching for a place to grab a bite and wow did we hit the jackpot. The steak is fantastic, juicy, tender and better than expected. If you come you have to try it, you'll know what I mean the moment that succulent piece of beef hits your tongue and ignites your senses. The staff and management are pleasant and upbeat which always enhances the dinning experience when you are welcomed in this way. We opted to sit outside on this hot late afternoon and were given a table right by the water fountain which really enhances the overall experience and it didn't hurt that it cooled off the heat. We also tried the bruschetta which is crisp on the outside with a mouthwatering center of tomatoes and olive oil. For drinks it was happy hour and that means 2 for 1, I myself had a Mojito and my guest a Piña Coloda. Both were equally charming and should we be asked what establishment we d recommend for lunch in this area, without a doubt it would be Puntino. Best~Robert

Won't be back. Was lured in by the lunch special - salad made with mixed greens topped with grilled salmon. Not impressed - salmon was dry and overall the salad was flavorless. And the portion size (big salad, very small piece of salmon) is off. Partner got the Caesar salad. Drenched in dressing and topped with three small over-cooked chicken breast cutlets. Same portion problem. Bread was ok? Service is not very good. Polite but mostly absent. In general - way overpriced. Lots of places to eat in the area - make another selection!

Had the tomato and basil penne lunch special and it was terrible and lacking in basil. It was mushy pasta and bland like a child made it. Would definitely not go again. Service also was slow and inattentive, which is probably because or why they have automatic 18% tip for all parties regardless of size

Save your money and pick another place for people watching. Horrible service. Slow, rude and barely able to communicate. I asked for ice tea and got a glass of icy water with a tea bag in it. Maybe they were expecting me to brew sun tea out of it. The marguerite pizza was mediocre and so was the house salad. We found a hair in the pizza. When we asked for the free glass of Prosecco for checking in, the waiter said "ahh no that's for dinner only". We pointed out that there was no such condition on the offer and instead of honoring the offer he said he'll let the manager know to change it!!! No way to represent the 305! AVOID at all costs!

Don't waste your money or time. Ordered foccacia and hummus and received flat bread and marinara. Server was not good. I have a catering business. If my service and food was like this, I would close down.

How can one beat the south beach atmosphere!! The bread was good but I had to order v and oil . Any great Italian place would serve it automatically!! House red wine too was good . the spinach salad was robust ! The special of lobster and spaghetti was priced right but I I like my pasta softer. The lobster was fresh but at 18$ who can complain!! The server although slow at times , and the place wasn't crowded did manage to improve . He was very friendly towards the end . The pre set 15 percent gratuity was annoying!!

After many years of going to a great competitors restaurant I finally gave this restaurant a try. It was actually very good. I'll be honest our server, Ricardo, was great! He made great menu suggestions and over all was extremely friendly and welcoming. I'll come back because of the good food but also because of the good service!! A+++ for Ricardo!

Wow what a ride. Please don't go here if you like your food cooked properly. It all started with the bread that they placed on the table when we arrived. Mostly likely the worst bread I've ever had at a restaurant. Oh how I wish I just got up and left my table when I tasted that fiasco. After ordering the Bruschetta and receiving a piece of toast with diced tomatoes on top, my table felt iffy about our meal. I ordered the lasagna, and boy was I disappointed. The flavor that this lasagna was truly unmistakable, and when I say that I mean it tasted like chef boyardee. I requested to have it sent back, and I told him it was mushy and tasted bad, and then our waiter told us that it was meant to be that way. Sorry, but I definitely don't think lasagna is meant to be soggy. Now not only my food was iffy, but so was 2 of the others in my group. So right now I'm sitting at a table with 4 people, and 3 of them have improper dishes. The Milanese was burnt, the pasta was undercooked, and the lasagna is soggy, go figure. By now you yelpers have probably heard of al dente, and if you haven't here's the definition: describes pasta and vegetables, rice or beans that are cooked to be firm to the bite: I'll let you know that the pasta was NOT al dente, it was undercooked, yet the waiter still insisted it was. Honestly, that took me by surprise, because he didn't stick his fork in the food and taste it, so how could he possibly know? Last was the Milanese, burnt and flavorless. Probably the thinnest and most bland piece of chicken to ever grace a dinner plate. If you haven't gotten the picture yet, this place is just a big rip off, charging an average of $25 a plate for true crap. Overall the food was terrible and the service was average, but I'll NEVER go here again!!

Not a bad place. Cozy and not in your face like a lot of the other restaurants on Lincoln as you walk by. I had a mimosa and a waygu burger. The burger was cooked per my request but it lacked any seasoning. The burger is big. I had to use a steak night to eat. No side items come with the entree.

  • Danielle S.

Just ok. Won't be back. Mojito wasn't even very good. I don't know why other reviews say it's amazing. Ordered 2 pasta dishes that were just ok. Didn't argue over it, but I did notice that they charged $5 extra for the chicken on the Chicken Alfredo. Waiter said it wasn't a mistake. It wasn't listed on the menu as pasta with Alfredo sauce and $5 extra for chicken. It was listed as "Chicken Alfredo." One price. Not a big deal, just annoying (plus you also pay tax and included 18% gratuity on that extra $5).

Went there for lunch with wife and sister-in-law. They had a nicely made salad and pizza duo. I had a lunch special of spaghetti tomato basil: spaghetti was this beautiful al dente. Perfectly made. Not real expensive meal. But, we had drinks and had a long, leisurely meal outside, with lots of people watching. Fun. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Considering the setting, nice meal, nice drinks, fair price, a good value. I'll go there again. 18% service charge automatically added.

The worst dinner we've ever had. Do not order the pasta with Lobster. $34.00 and its served with a cheap red sauce and the entire lobster socked in it without utensils to break it. Rubbery calarmary and cold bread. Bad bad bad

Walked into this restaurant on a whim while walking down Lincoln road. We were a party of nine and ordered many items off the menu so I was able to have a taste of almost everything. The food is mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. Service was just as bad. The food took too long, our server barely checked in on us until towards the end and our table was a mess. No one was coming in to pick up the dirty plates or fill our glasses of water. We had to go up to the bar just to get our drinks because it was taking that long. When we finished our meals, we decided to skip dessert because all we wanted to do was run like mad out of the restaurant. That's got to tell you something, who would want to skip dessert? No one, that's who. The only upside is that my server was hot, extremely hot - almost hot enough to distract me from his shitty service.. Almost.

Ladys and Gentlemans just two words: stay away! I've been there with my father the night of the end of the year 2013 and I can tell you that I paid a lot of money for very bad food.. The restaurant got is just named as "italian" but I didn't see nothing of italian in it, more over the food! "È il mio business" yeah but you're doing it in the wrong way man! ^_^ Bad place!

Had the BEST food here - margarita pizza for dinner and next day bruschetta & carpaccio for lunch - our waiter Paola - the BEST!!! - if u come to Miami check this place out!!!!

Why all the hate Yelpers? I had a decent lunch here and didn't think it was awful. It's a restaurant on Lincoln Road, so I manage my expectations accordingly. Service was a bit slow, but very friendly. Couldn't seem to get my water refilled but otherwise the waiter was nice and checked in. I had the bruschetta and lasagna. Most of the bruschetta was good although one piece of bread was a little tough. The lasagna was tasty but it was super greasy (see the picture I've included). I get that it's meat and cheese, so there will be oil/grease or whatever but there were a couple of pools of it that didn't look so appetizing. But it tasted great so I just closed my eyes and ate it. I'd say this compares with other places on Lincoln Road so don't be afraid to give it a chance. I give this a solid three stars, which means A-OK.

Waiting is the theme of this restaurant because we waited and waited and waited and waited.... let me demonstrate this with the following waiting schedule: Time to seat - 0 minutes, seated immediately Time to water being offered - 7 minutes Time to drink order being taken - 11 minutes (18 mins total) Time to entrée order being taken - 15 minutes (33 mins total) Time to appetizer arriving - 17 minutes (50 mins total) Time to entrée arriving - 26 minutes (76 mins total) Suggestion, don't arrive hungry.

    (1)
  • Weroni C.

Waiting waiting indeed.. Panne alla vodka tasted just ok, but there was not enough pink sauce so after first few gobbets it was just penne ..+ automatic 18% gratuit= not good, no .. So in the end I payed $47 for plate of dry boring pasta and mediocre glass of vine..

    (2)
  • RAMIN M.

How does an Italian place not have bread already baked or know how to boil pasta? Well, come down to this place and you will find out! You may have to wait to get the full experience of hard pasta and no bread because they are under staffed. Use Uber and get to Washington Ave for a better dining experience if you want Italian food

    (2)
  • Sahil C.

literally walk past this place when you see it. $18 for stale pasta that isn't even enough to fill up my hermit crab. I can't believe I was convinced to come here by my girlfriend, I broke up with her immediately after we left. The best thing on their menu is the free bread, and that too it's not fresh. Puntino.. You gotta go.

Eh.. Honestly not as great as I thought it would be. As a Miami Beach resident walking up and down Lincoln Road is like walking to and from my kitchen. I've eyed this restaurant a few times and finally decided to give it a try. The menu is a bit pricey for what you get. Don't get me wrong the quality of meats, shrimp and calamari was great, but I would have enjoyed a bit more flavor in each dish. When paying over $20 for a homemade pasta, you expect it to be made with as much love and care a newborn baby gets from it's mother. At least in my kitchen.. The service was also par, if not under. For some reason I've been noticing the slower a restaurants business is that night, the lazier the waiters get. Make no exception here, we sat with our plates empty for 20 minutes watching the waiter talk to some broad. For the 17% gratuity you're going to conveniently place on my check, just because you think you deserve it, at least give me the experience one would expect at a "higher end" restaurant. To sum it up, come here once and don't come again. I'd say it's a lottery; reading some of the good and bad reviews. This restaurant lacks consistency amongst other things.

Being an avid lover of everything Italian, I fell in love with the place - all employees are Italians - looking Italian, speaking Italian, giving that Italian attitude and acting absolutely all business and important...and delegating everything from one to another :) My fish was slightly undercooked and I asked the server to have it reheated a little, very politely and without any fuss. Next thing you know, a brand new dish comes out of the kitchen carried by the chef who happened to be Algerian or Moroccan...go figure :) In any case, the experience was very pleasant and I absolutely loved the restaurant!

2nd time here. I would of gave it 4 stars but the service sucks!!!!! Order a truffle pizza which I must say was delicious. Wouldn't change a thing about it. The pizza itself was prob a 4.5 stars out of 5. I was told about this amazing Nutella pizza that they had. Nutella is all I have to hear. Unfortunately I didn't get a pizza I got rolled up dough stuffed with Nutella topped with a strawberry and a scoop of ice cream and fudge. It's very hard to mess anything up with Nutella but this was no pizza it's was like I said some weird looking rolled up dough but still wasn't terrible but wasn't the best. Had better "Nutella pizza"

I really enjoy coming here when I'm in South Beach. I walked by and decided to stop in. Now, I keep coming back every chance I get. Their lunch special prices are great and the portions are still large. Everyone is friendly and provide excellent service. I recommend their chicken Caesar salad.

I hate to give bad reviews! This place had ok to good food and the bartenders seemed to be nice but our server Livino was not so great. I was a server for 10 years so I know the ins and outs of Serving and I'm very forgiving when it comes to servers. This is the first experience I've had where I felt like I would not tip. BUT I STILL TIPPED. The server told us that he had 5 other tables. We were a party of 10 so he should have expected to be at our table for a little while. He was mumbling under his breathe and he was very uptight and bitter. The server stated " you girls are getting complicated, I have five other tables". From my perspective- a server just last year- we were not too complicated and we were ready to spend a ton of money. And you don't state that to guests. I told him, "well you have 5 other tables and us?! You're gunna make some money!" I was trying to keep the mood light since he was clearly bothered. He stated, " it's not like it used to be". So clearly he is unhappy at his job. In addition to this, one of our guests never got her food and when we asked about it our server got defensive. At the end of the meal, the server was polite. We never spoke to a manager after requesting to and we still tipped. Customer service was horrible which is why they are getting 1 star. I would probably not come here again and I live Italian food! Horrible service can really ruin a restaurant experience!

  • MiaZoi G.

Very mediocre and very overpriced. I understand the pastas are homemade, but if you don't make a great, flavorful sauce to go with it, it just tastes like bland pasta. I had the short rib pappardelle, which left a lot to be desired. We also had the fried calamari, which was overly breaded and failed to showcase the fish itself. They did make the kids we were with a cheese pasta that was not on the menu. That was nice of them.

Puntino an authentic Italian restaurant that is smartly hidden between scores of less than perfect imitators and tourist traps. The owner is Italian, the chef is Italian and the food is definitely Italian. We had an excellent meal and the service was very good. Our server Zev claimed he doesn't eat refined sugar while explaining the excellent desserts, but a bag of Oreos once a week is okay by him apparently. But he sold the profiteroles beautifully. And they were indeed gorgeous. Considering we just stumbled on the place, the food gods were on our side.

Good food, Bad Customer service. The manager there (a skynny latinamerican girl) did not know about YELP! We went there because of the "deal now", the made us wait about 20min just to figure out how to charge us! Horrible!

To start, i have never ever made a yelp review before, but my experience at this restaurant has made me to do otherwise. I have been in and out of miami for 20 years and never seen such a waste of time at dinner. I also own and run 3 well maintained restaurants in ny. Honestly the food does deserve 2 1/2 to 3 stars, but the service falls into a negative scale if i could submit that. Horrible horrible service. Rude, pushy waiters, always talking n not watching over customers. Very unprofessional responses to customers, with a who gives a shit attitude. Asked for the washroom and got a sarcastic comment about using the fountain. My brother got chicken in the ravioli undercooked, and bit into it to taste half frozen chicken. He ended up throwing up. Also way too overpriced for such bad cooking. Disgusting, and extreme disregard to the needs of a customer has forced me to write my first negative review, despite being very easy going and lenient regularly. I hope this review helps other future customers from making the worst decision on lincoln road. Please do consider this seriously. Hope this helped, believe me i have never written anything negative before.

STAY AWAY! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! AND OVERPRICED!!! I wish there was a option for 0 star or - star review, because thats how bad this place is.We are locals, and bought a groupon coupon to get out on sunday walk to lincoln rd and grab something to eat,so we stopped at this restaurant.Waiter messed up order and brought wrong stuff, then told us that this was what we ordered.A food quality is ok for lincoln rd,after 30 minutes of waiting for our drinks to be refilled I had to go and find my Waiter inside!!! Very simple, service is horrible and food is very expensive/overpriced for the small portions they bring! STAY AWAY!

I've been here a few times and love the Italian staff. They went out of his way to make my table happy. I threw my brother's wedding reception here (small, the bride wanted Italian on Miami Beach) and everything was perfect. It was Art Basel weekend so it was a bit stressful all around but Marco The owner made sure everyone had a great time. The dishes, especially the salmon, were terrific and all 16 of us were pleased. Remember able night.

The concierge at the W hotel recommended this restaurant to me, and I LOVED it. I went with a big group of 16 girls for my birthday weekend. The service was great, the decor was very nice and trendy, the location on Lincoln Rd was convenient. Prices were pretty good for south beach. The food was great - we all kind of shared so I tried lots of dishes, and I liked everything. pizza was great, ostrich carpacchio was unique and good, and the pasta was INCREDIBLE. After dinner the waiters sang happy birthday to me in Italian, and gave us a ton of lollipops. Overall a great experience, I would definitely recommend it!

AWFUL. My mother and I decided to have dinner here one night because of the decor....all of the tables had really neat neon lit globes on them for lighting and it caught our eye compared to all the other restaurants along Lincoln Rd. I ordered the Grilled Cajun Shrimp Gazpacho and the Trittico Tartare. The Gazpacho was not a gazpacho at all...it was their take on a shrimp cocktail and the 3 shrimp were deep fried, not grilled and not spicy in the slightest. The sauce to dip was a plain cold tomato sauce. There's more flavor in a jar of Ragu. The tartare was TINY and tasted like the worst grade fish that a restaurant could possibly serve. I had it removed from the bill because it was so bad. My mother ordered the Tonnarella Puntino salad which was extremely bland and the tuna on it tasted like cardboard. She also ordered the Guazzetto Clams which smelled horrible and she said tasted just as bad. Ok, now for service. Our waiter was an absolute A**hole. He couldn't have cared less if we were happy or not and would look at us like we were idiots when we asked questions regarding the menu. All in all....I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will absolutely not be returning. DO NOT LET THE COOL GLOBE LIGHTS ON THE TABLES FOOL YOU!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!

We ventured to the this restaurant as a part of a groupon to learn the secrets of mixology. the class was not exactly what I expected, but the restaurant was a nice find. A bit on the pricey side, but we are on south beach, so it's to be expected. I will return for happy hour and drinks and maybe appetizers. The staff was friendly and the bar staff was knowledgeable on drinks. I actually learned about Hendricks Gin at this location. The seating was both inside and out; both quite nice. After the mixology course, we sat outside and people watched as we ate dinner. I have given this location a solid 2 stars, i don't mind pricey, buyt I don't feel the food lived up to the price point. Exception- the pizza was really good, which could boost the rating to 2 1/2 stars.

  • Dieunane F.

I came here for a mixology class offered through groupon. I honestly can not think of one day I learned from the class. The mixologist/bar tender spoke in monotone and focused only on the people who were seating in front of him. He made very little effort to engage our party even though the class was small enough to fit the bar. I could hardly hear him or most of the class. The manager gave us some freshly baked pizzas during the class and they were DELICIOUS. We decided to stay after for dinner. I had the crab cakes; don't waste your money. They taste as good as the ones frozen ones from publix.

It is really hard to find quality food in Lincoln road. This place has its ups and downs: meat and salmon are too expensive and portions are too small. The crab pizza was phenomenal, I could be coming back just to eat this again! And then pasta pomodoro was made with not so tasty tomatoes (tasted like canned tomatoes). Service was great! cocktails are not really good...

The mojitos alone are worth the 4-stars. John, the bartender, makes a killer mojito, and this will definitely be a frequent stop for me on Lincoln. I tried the fried calamari, and it's pretty much what I'd expect. It's not spectacular, and not terrible. The sauce that it comes with though.... damn, it's delish! A friend had a chicken dish... Chicken Pepperoci or something like that. She said it was tasty. I'm not sure why some of the reviews complain about the cleanliness of the joint. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Fairly quiet in there - right after the Spain/Italy game. The entire place seemed VERY clean to me. The staff was all friendly and chatty. The aforementioned bartender (John) is awesome. This is definitely a place to check out again! (Only gave 4 stars due to limited experience here. Will re-visit later.)

After shopping on Lincoln Road I found this bistro and decided to stop for dinner. I was extremely impressed. It really set itself apart from the typical Lincoln Road eatery trying to trap tourists. I started off with the caprese salad which was as fresh as it comes. I later ordered the salmon and cream cheese pizza . Ive never had this combination except for on a bagel and it was amazing. Not to mention the service. Fiorenzo the manager was peronaly tending to my table making sure that everything was to my liking, and it actually surpassed my expectaions. This place was great and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for delicious food and great service.

Terrific meal. We had the grilled salmon and swordfish. The salads were great. We enjoyed a bottle of wine. The service was fantastic. They were attentive but not intrusive. A very relaxing and romantic evening. Ask for Roberto. He will take very good care of you.

I'm surprised by the many bad reviews. The ambiance is very nice and upscale. My server was very attentive and the bus boy came around every 10 minutes or so to check on me. The food is also very good. I had the Dal Toro risotto which was quite good, rice was properly cooked and the meat was nice and smooth. The prices are on the high side, but hey it's on Lincoln so not that surprising. Would recommend.

Food was pretty good but the service was lacking. Price was unacceptable and the only reason for the low review. There will be hidden costs with each menu item so make sure you ask the exact cost. 17% gratuity added automatically for any party size. If you request change it will be rounded down in $5 increments.

I am surprised to see this so badly reviewed! My 10 year old son and I had a very good dinner here tonight. We were roaming Lincoln Road with no plans, recipe for disaster. I am so glad we stumbled onto this. My spaghetti con vongole was really superb -- only complaint was that I would have liked a slightly larger serving! Everything was great and just for the icing, our Milanese waiter was one of the most handsome and attentive men I have ever encountered! Worth the price of admission!!

This place is odd and run by veryyyy foreign people but they got the food right! They have a nice happy hour and nice servers. Try everything on the happy hour menu trust me you wont be disappointed. Stay away from the ostrich carpaccio it tastes and smells terrible..not to mention its super expensive. My favorite thing was the pepperocinni chicken..wow.. try this place out guys!

Had a great dinner experience here with my girlfriend recently. The service was friendly and I really like the interior. Especially the Bar looks cool. We had the Crab & Kobe Tartare and the Rosemary Veal Meat Ball as an appetizer. Both excellent!! Anyways, the Tagliata was perfectly cooked medium-rare and it came sliced up with a tasty fresh guacamole as a topping. I can highly recommend this dish! I will definitely be back for more. The Dal Toro risotto my girlfriend ordered was great too. If you are into bold meaty flavors, this one is for you. Don't be fooled by the portion size as it is quite filling... so I had to help her finish it. I know, too bad. hehe :) Having said that, we were both pretty full and it was no biggy to find out that they were out of Tiramisu when we considered to possibly share a desert in the end. Think I'd prefer to sit outside next time just to avoid the noise level when it gets too crowded.

We went during lunch time and were only the 2nd group there. Like some others, we too had a dirty dish that the server swapped with another table. The menu had a nice variety and the food was good. The biggest issue we had was the drinks. They charged $4 per drink (Coke or Ice Tea). That would not be bad if they did not also charge for refills!! Unfortunately this was not on the menu and the server did not mention it when we asked for any of the refills. So drinks for 4 including 3 refills was more than the cost of 2 meal items. In every restaurant I have eaten at that charged for refills, they at least mentioned it to avoid any sudden surprise when the bill came. Needless to say, we were very surprised and unhappy when final bill came. We would never go back.

The chef is nice, the staff is nice, even so the place was empty on a Saturday night. John and Wilma at the bar were the best. Very nice folks. We had a fabulous salad (if you can say that about green, leafy stuff). The pizza was just ok. The pizza dough was really good, but I think they haven't quite figured out how to prepare and warm or toast the toppings. Seems as though adding toppings were an afterthought while on the way to the table. The prices are really way too high! I hope they make it here...

Well, what do I say.... My girlfriends and I went one evening to have few drinks and a dinner. Went to Lincoln Road and what attracted us was these fun changing light globes on the tables of Puntino dal Toro restaurant so we decided to check it out. So, the first sign of us needing to walk away was the rudeness of the server. He was impatient and we felt like he was hurrying us to order. Ok, so we order our food and it took 30 minutes for us to get our food however they tell one of my friends that the ostrich dish she ordered was not available.....so, my poor friend after 30 min of waiting had to wait more to get something else. Food was OK, nothing to praise. The entire time we were there our server didn't come to check on us, bring more bread, refill our waters.....nothing. We had to waive our hands to get attention from someone someone....20 min later we finally get our server to come and ask how our food is even though we finished 20 min ago. Then we had to flag somebody to get us a check. We called manager to complain. After some time the manager came, apologized and told us we can have a dessert on him. We did get a desert which was decent so made us feel little bit better but do not plan on coming back.

Aweful would not be strong enough description!. Although the menu claims home made pasta, there is no evidence of this being the truth, with bags of dry pasta visable when you approach the kitchen area. The risotta dish was to have bits of filet added and was labeled a "house specialty" , but it was certainly not filet and more likely was a can of alpo based on its appearance and smell. Drink prices are high especially when you consider they are not pouring the brand of liquor your paying for. It might have said Captain Morgan on the bottle, but thats not what was coming out of it. Top it off, the restrooms are disgusting, I witnessed one waiter come out of the stall after taking a #2 and returned to work with any hand washing. Simply put, I cant say enoug bad things about this place. Chef Gordon Ramsey would have a stroke if he ever laid his eyes on this place.

After a long wait, we were surprized and very impressed with the renovation at 719 Lincoln Road. Dal Toro rocked myself and friends recently with not only the impressive menu and bar, but the interior is Pizazz meets modern Bistro. Not sure about the negative reviews because all was thumbs up for us. The home made pasta and sauces were amazing. My friends steak just as good. The appetizers all delicious. My swordfish was only matched by what you would find and enjoy in the Northeast United States. And being a crab cake snob... they were the best, mostly meat and resting in a mouth watering lobster reduction. We found it easy to pick a well priced great bottle of wine and our drinks nice and cold. The staff was well dressed, attentive and fun to interact with. Even the chef roamed when he could and said hello. We will go back. Lucky for Miami and Lincoln Road to have this exciting new dining venue with great seating, rock on interior, and people watching inside and out on the patio with one of Lincoln Road's most beautifully restored fountains. Nice to see smart experienced food venues meeting with creativity. This is why Miami is Miami.

so much for spontaneity, i think this place officially ends my 'lincoln road russian roulette' game. popped in here hoping for something decent, ended up hungry and disappointed. the place was kinda dirty to start with, there was a swarm of flies in the front of the place. instead of leaving, i decided 'the hell with life'. the yellowtail tiradito was not fresh at all, 3 whole chunks of fish (wow!). the caprese was mediocre, which is kind of hard to fuck up, 3 little piles of tomato slice, a leaf of basil, and one small piece of mozz, with 3-4 drops of their balsamic reduction thrown about the plate. the rosemary veal meatballs were actually really good, but tiny and again, 3 pieces. and the crown jewel of the evening, a bacon wrapped scallop. a, as in single. the bacon was terrible and fatty, and the one lonely scallop sat on a flavorless pile of cold lentils. i wish i had drank my dinner at zeke's instead. if i could give 0 stars, i would.

Visiting Miami Beach and met with nephew and his beautiful family for a Mother's Day visit and decided to have lunch in South Beach. Wandering Lincoln Road can be overwhelming with so many restaurants. We walked by Dal Toro and were greeted by a very enthusiastic host/manager Emilio. He really wanted us to come in and try Dal Toro and even was suggesitng fish dishes we should try. We left him and walked the rest of the strip and came back because he was so persuasive and charming and the outdoor and indoor dining rooms are beautiful. He personally attended to us once seated at a very plush corner booth at the rear of the dining room. Perfect for people watching and perfect for our 3 year old having space to spread out. The Bronzino was truly the best one I have ever had. Perfectly cooked with a thin crispy coating of bread crumbs and garnished with capers, olives, lemon. Loved it! I also had a Caesar salad and it was perfectly dressed with just the right amount of dressing and croutons. My family enjoyed a Grouper special topped with a fresh mango salsa, Papardelle pasta with short rib, and squid ink pasta with grilled shrimp. Our experience was 1st rate and the service was outstanding and we felt very welcome and appreciated as customers. The owner even stopped by the table. Ask for Emilio and get the star treatment! Wishing Dal Toro every success and lots more of these great reviews!! PS I had not read Yelp prior to dining today. Hope the diners that did not have the same experience give it another try.

Overall a great experience, I would definitely recommend it!

literally walk past this place when you see it.

Horrible!

Best~Robert

How does an Italian place not have bread already baked or know how to boil pasta? Well, come down to this place and you will find out! You may have to wait to get the full experience of hard pasta and no bread because they are under staffed. Use Uber and get to Washington Ave for a better dining experience if you want Italian food

Bad bad bad

Best~Robert

  • Julianne F.

How does an Italian place not have bread already baked or know how to boil pasta? Well, come down to this place and you will find out! You may have to wait to get the full experience of hard pasta and no bread because they are under staffed. Use Uber and get to Washington Ave for a better dining experience if you want Italian food

literally walk past this place when you see it.

Horrible!

I went here for lunch while I was on vacation. I thought the service was exceptional and the food could not have been better. I enjoyed every part of this experience. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone in the Miami area or is traveling there.

If I could do zero stars I would. Negative. Super rude employees. 2 beers and they tried charging us $45 PLUS automatic 15% gratuity for two people. Abso rip off. Do not go here.

Think I'd prefer to sit outside next time just to avoid the noise level when it gets too crowded.

so much for spontaneity, i think this place officially ends my 'lincoln road russian roulette' game. popped in here hoping for something decent, ended up hungry and disappointed. the place was kinda dirty to start with, there was a swarm of flies in the front of the place. instead of leaving, i decided 'the hell with life'. the yellowtail tiradito was not fresh at all, 3 whole chunks of fish (wow!). the caprese was mediocre, which is kind of hard to fuck up, 3 little piles of tomato slice, a leaf of basil, and one small piece of mozz, with 3-4 drops of their balsamic reduction thrown about the plate. the rosemary veal meatballs were actually really good, but tiny and again, 3 pieces. and the crown jewel of the evening, a bacon wrapped scallop. a, as in single. the bacon was terrible and fatty, and the one lonely scallop sat on a flavorless pile of cold lentils. i wish i had drank my dinner at zeke's instead. if i could give 0 stars, i would.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
