If you can't afford prime 112 don't even think about prime fish!!! Flavorless, overpriced, and not great service... A triple threat!

Stumbled upon Prime Fish and was attracted by the lovely setting. It hasn't even opened yet (!!) but my meal was excellent. Ordered oysters, a steak, hush puppies and dessert and it was all fabulous. It is not cheap by any means but I would highly recommend for a romantic evening in SoFi.

I went here for my first time a couple weeks ago and loved it! I ordered the sea bass and it was the best I've EVER had. I ordered some side sauce for the sea bass but didn't use it because it tasted like ketchup, yuck! The fish was so good all I needed was lemon. For dessert I had the cinnamon bread pudding and it was delicious and HUGEE!!! I took it home and took me 2 more days to finish it! lots of calories but yum :-) This place is a Prime restaurant so obviously it was expensive and overpriced..nothing you can do about that :/

3.5 Ok, first time at one of the Myles Restaurant Group restaurants (Prime 112, Italian and Fish) and overall wasn't too bad of an experience. I had avoided these restaurants because I hear they are loud and a scene...especially Prime 112, but decided to give Prime Fish a try as I love seafood and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Overall, the evening started off negatively. 1/2 hour wait for a reservation...not cool. No offer of a complimentary drink or anything until we started to complain. Things got better from there. Had to be reseated due to fans blowing on the table, but was seated at a nice table with a great waiter....excellent service and a caring individual. The complimentary bread and fish dip are delicious. Almost worth a trip in and of itself. Tried the ceviche appetizer, branzino fish and homemade chocolate ice cream and coconut creme brulee for dessert. All excellent. The food definitely made up the long wait. The manager/server were good; however, the hostesses were snobby. Verdict...give it a try....some room for improvement here but I would probably return, but only on a weeknight...weekends nights are too loud.

Excellent Miami Spice offering. Branzino dish is wonderful. Tuna tartare appetizer equally good. Full size portions and great value. Too bad they only show Miami Spice menu when you ask for it.

Expensive like Prime Italian and Prime 112 but hands down the best fish restaurant in Miami. Serice is impeccable and the food is unlike any other fish I have had in Miami. $200 without booze.

Excellent, food was delicious, service was outstanding. Richard was our server and he was very knowledgeable and professional. We'd definitely come back. BTW, we had Miami Spice Menu and it was plentiful.

I'm a big fan of Prime 112 and Prime Italian and had honestly always overlooked Prime Fish. However, it is an awesome restaurant in its own right, keeping enough in common with the other Primes to be familiar but maintaining its own distinct vibe. The caviar presentation is classic and one of the best in the city. The oysters Rockefeller were insane, as was the salmon johnnycake. The tuna pokey was a clinic in texture. We were very full after apps and packed most of our entrees but the the blacked fish imperial, Brazino and stuffed lobster did not disappoint. Service was impeccable throughout. I highly recommend it.

Miami Spice 2015 review (Aug/Sept $39 promo): when I saw pricey Prime Fish on this year's participant list, I was very excited: many menu choices that are $40 on the regular menu were on the promo menu, with an app and dessert for less than that $40 regular menu price. Unfortunately, there was a "catch" at this fish place: portion sizes which are ordinarily massive were significantly scaled down. So that $42 8oz filet mignon steak was a 4oz version, and the $40 king crab lasagna was cut by 2/3! Salads and other apps which are usually enough for a small group were similarly downsized. So Miami Spice at PF is just a way to eat a normal portion size of 3 courses, instead of the usual massive size at full price, and I think you'd actually come out ahead ordering from the regular menu! So while the food was very enjoyable, and I'd consider returning in the more popular months of the year, I don't recommend it for Miami Spice if you are a die hard deal-seeker like myself. Bonus points for star-sighting: I got to dine with my good friends (pictured), though they were at another table, and didn't interact - we like to keep our relationship on the down-low (ha!)

Here we go, another restaurant to try during Miami Spice month! We frequently go to restaurants in the SoFi (South of Fifth) in South Beach, two of our favorites are Fogo de Chão (Brazilian churrascaria) and Joe's Stone Crabs, and we though we had to try Prime Fish now, that was the occasion. Although we had reservations we had to wait almost half an hour (not good), but the hostess was very nice and always checked on us letting us know that our turn was coming soon. But one thing caught my attention: a group of four people arrived and where seated immediately, bypassing the 20 or so people waiting for their turn... well, this is Miami after all. Anyway, but let's focus on what is important: food! We ordered the Swordfish Schnitzel, the Alaskan King Crab lasagna, as appetizers the "LITTLE POKE" Hawaiian Big Eye Tuna and the Lobster Bisque. Desert: Fried Oreos with Vanilla ice cream and the Coconut Creme Brulee. All were excellent, but the lasagna was not piping hot, it was more on the lukewarm side, which is a sin when we talk about lasagnas. I had the impression it was sitting out there for too long. The portions which are usually very large get reduced considerably for Miami Spice, which I don't consider the fair thing to offer. As an example, the Capital Grille serves the exact same dish size for items on the Miami Spice menu. Also some prices are off the charts: a bottle of Pellegrino was $9.50 (and only $7.50 at Capital Grille). I decided to give it a 4 star rating due to the Small portions, the lukewarm lasagna, high drink prices and the delay with our reservation. But don't take me wrong, the dishes had great flavor and presentation, service was excellent (our waitress did a phenomenal job), but to get a 5 the place needs to cover all bases. Cheers!

The fact that the food in this restaurant is delicious is not the main reason of me writing this review! Its our waiter , Eli! The guy made our visit to feel like Broadway presentation:) amazing asset to the restaurant. He guided us trough the menu and made great suggestions (which we followed all of them and never regretted) . Another word this guy is an animated walking- talking menu who will make your visit pleasurable and unforgettable

Very average meal. We ordered 2 dozen oysters. At least 4 were rotten (smelt and tasted rotten). No chef should allow bad oysters to leave a kitchen, a simple smell test would ensure that. They took the four oysters off the bill. The rest of meal was "fine". Nothing to wrote home about. Portions are huge and heavily doused in butter or sauces. There is nothing fine dining about this restaurant. It's not fine fish or fine dining. If you are looking for a heavy fish meal, this is more your spot. It's not mine and after two previous visits, this was my last visit. On the positive side, our waitress was good, polite and efficient. With all of the competition of high quality seafood restaurants on the beach, I don't see this one as being a long term player.

  • Nancy H.

The food was amazing, but that didn't make up for the rude service. We waited over an hour and a half for our dinner to arrive. During that time, the waitress visited our table exactly twice. Her assistant was more attentive, but always seemed as if we were bothering him, I guess because he could rarely answer our questions about the menu. But the ultimate insult was when I asked to speak to the manager, in hopes of eating BEFORE midnight, and he proceeded to argue with me about how long we had been waiting. Seriously?! So if you are looking for rude management and an absentee wait staff whom you are forced to tip 18% because in Miami Beach all tips are included, Prime Fish is where you should spend $100 per person.

Horrible.... I don't know if it's the Valentine's Day rush.... No... We're not gonna use that as an excuse. We arrived to our 7pm reservation and was greeted by a line of other patrons waiting to check into this establishment. People with reservations almost an hour before ours. After waiting almost 30mins in line, we finally made it to the check-in point.... We were then told by the general manager to feel free to have a drink from the bar & they will find us... (Really??? Do they know me???) After several minutes (70 to be exact) we were finally seated. We ordered a couple cocktails and a appetizer (calamari) which was excellent, and our main courses all at the same time. We received the drinks and appetizer all in a timely manner. We ate & enjoyed the appetizer and began to wait patiently for our main courses.... After what seemed to be an eternity (over 1 1/2 hours waiting) we decided to leave. We cashed out & as our waitress apologized we exited Prime Fish, never to return!!!

This place was very disappointing. Fish was not fresh at all, overcooked! I sent my meal back only twice in my life and this was one of them (grouper). Our waitress was great though so that is one good thing. Really expensive place and you won't get the upscale cuisine out of that so don't waste your money! We also ordered big eye tuna poke which was good but not excellent ($55). Grilled asparagus was nothing special as well, make better at home.

Arrived with a very large group of 16 adults and the woman who greeted us was very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is very nice, fun bar, open chefs kitchen, plenty of waitstaff that are well trained and helpful. We had appetizers, entrees and sides all of which were tasty and plentiful. The flavors were above expectation, the one shortcoming was the bill, it was outside of really expensive, more like outrageous.

My 3rd time here. First two, the service was good. However, waiters always try to push for the specials in a way that is quite intrusive. They don't really know what are recommending on the fish. What a disappointment this time. We were 4 and first it only came 2 appetizers, for the other 2 we waited for 15 minutes. The excuse was that the kitchen was busy. The recommended fish (triple tail) was tasteless nothing to do with the Branzino we wanted to order - according to our waiter they were similar. Our waiter was ver polite and tried to be helpful at the end they took one of Most probably I will not come back.

We loved this place! Dinner on Father's Day was truly special. The food was great and the service even greater! Unusual in Miami to get such attentive and good service! We are recommending it to everyone and can't wait to go back. Order the fish and chips and the ceviche. Scrumptious!

Ok. I read the reviews and here is ours. I am so stuffed I can hardly write, let alone walk back to the hotel. Everything here is huge and the prices reflect it, so share share. And if you are getting the chopped salad, which is incredibly huge and tasty at $23, bring 6 of your friends. We saw someone getting a tuna tempura roll and went for it and it was as good as my fav sushi place at home and twice the size and also near twice the price. You won't need to go much passed this if you are two people because they serve for free the most delicious hot brioche/challah salted bread with a healthy service of what tastes like the most exquisite white fish salad topped by picked jalapeños. But ok. We didn't know this so we also ordered the Patagonian toothfish aka Chilean sea bass over Bok Choy with a very tasty sauce. Dessert? We heard a glorious list but then we would be like that guy who explodes in Monty Pythons "Meaning of Life." So we'll have gelato on the walk back.

Waited a long time for our hot dish. Had a couple of regulars beside us. They were a bit obnoxious. Bar staff is really good. Very nice guys. The woman with the regular was very rude...she made the bartender make her a jalapeno margarita. Then she complained it was not spicy enough and he remade it. Then she complained it was too spicy and he had to remake it again. They really had a lot of patience.

We walked by Prime Fish the night before we ate there and were impressed with the ambiance of the outdoor dining area. We decided to return for dinner the next night. When we arrived our table was not quite ready so we sat at the bar in front of the food station. What a treat! We got to watch each dish as it came out and had several ideas from what we saw. I had the Grilled swordfish and it was the best I have ever had. The portion was very generous. We split a salad which was plenty for 2. My wife made meal out of the clam appetizer and loved it. Wine list was diverse and fairly reasonable. We will return the next time we are in South Beach.

We stumbled into this restaurant for some drinks before Story. OMG! First of all, EVERY SINGLE WAITER was gorgeous! It was like Magic Mike. No lie. We ended up getting champagne, crab cakes, raw oysters, a lobster roll (huge by the way), and tuna tartare. Everything was perfection. The restaurant was so beautiful and the service was amazing. I will go back for sure! Highly recommended. By the way...did I mention that the waiters were hot?!? Even the patrons were hot. The beautiful people dine here. Be one of the beautiful people.

Very nice and trendy place. Since they brought me the complementary bread and dip ( delicious) I thought this was going to b good. The menu is awesome , a real temptation . Food was good but I would not said great . The crab lasagna was over cook , the crab cake was over seasoned and my swordfish definitely fresh but to limy. I have to comeback to try different things and have a better opinion about the food quality. Just what all reviews said , portions are big. Service was good , no more than that. Sometime I had two server asking for the same order and sometime they disappeared. They were very friendly and accommodating. BTW my server was HOT !! Expensive but a worthy experience . I will definitely come back.

I met with some business associates at the bar and I know this is so wrong but I ordered the Kobe Beef Sliders as an appetizer and just like at Prime 112 they are cooked to perfection with cheese and grilled onions, delicious! The fish dip is tasty too. I had the Elderflower Collins Martini which was refreshing and includes my favorite St. Germain. The décor is sexy and engaging - I mean how can you really go wrong it is Prime!

Been there twice. This is what you can expect... Upon your arrival, the host/hostess has so many things going on that he/she won't be as courteous as you'd like. I had a 9:30 reservation, sat down at 10:15. So be ready to wait (both times I had to wait some). But once you sit down you're in for a treat. First the waiters are great, always, some of the best. Also, I think this place has the best grilled sea bass in Miami hands down. All the food is well presented and very tasty. Lastly, be careful leaving your car with the valet. Just like the host, they are 2 or 3 people moving many many cars. Waited another 15 minutes to get the wrong car. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting got my car... Do expect to wait, but also do expect to eat well... Went with my girlfriend... Spent $220.

Had an amazing dinner with good company. Brought wine and they charged $35 corking fee. Ribeye and Alaskan king crabs, oysters, Lobster tail.... All were prepared perfectly. Great ambiance on South Beach!

Owned by the same group as nearby Prime 112, Prime Fish delivers exceptional food, service and atmosphere at a price. We had the swordfish schnitzel, the fish and chips, Caesar salad and the tuna poki. Everything we had was terrific and each item was prepared a little differently than usual. The Caesar had kale mixed in, the fish and chips was not greasy and many levels beyond pub fare, the swordfish was juicy and flaky. Even the bread before dinner was amazing. Overall a truly special place. If you don't go crazy with $200 Iranian Caviar, expect to pay $150 a person. Expensive, but a special place and worth it if you can.

Prime Fish premier.. Lives up to its expectations. We are used to dine at Prime or Prime Italia and were very excited for the new place to open. Coming here reminded me of Prime 112 packed and usually no chance without a reservation so everybody who plans to go there keep in mind to make a reservation in advance. We had the jumbo shrimp to start. I love them and you can always count on the freshness and tastiness at the Prime spots - never had better ones and tried them in many other places. We also had the tuna poki which I never had anywhere else. A little bigger than sashimi and delicious. We had the sea bass as the main course. It was a little wait but that gives you time to enjoy the vibe. The fish just melted in our mouth and the side we ordered broccoli with cheddar cheese was delicious as well - Wow! Bottom line: I would come back anytime Good job Prime for opening a new hot spot

I don't know what these other people are talking about?!?!? First off the bread is amazing, served hot!!! The quality of the fish is the highest one could buy and the atmosphere is beautiful! The blue crab hush puppies were a perfect treat!! Another great addition to the Prime Family!!!

I used to go to Prime 112 just for the fish menu, which was spectacular. Now I love going to Prime Fish. Hard to find great seafood in Miami surprisingly, but this place is the best. Sea Bass and the Lobster Mac & Cheese are just incredible. Must try.

very similar to prime 112 except here there's more focus on seafood. as expected, the food was awesome and they have the best side dishes. service was good and decor is nice. i like the outdoor seating area- it's a like a pretty garden.

    (4)
  • Harvey O.

Food very good. Service very rushed. Wait staff very pushy for the most expensive wine and food. Way too pushy!!! Outside seating beautiful but way too hot in summer. Inside cramped and noisy. Would not rush back.

  • Linda Y.

King crab salad is good, ny strip is not good enough as prime 112, other dishes is salty... recommend prime 112.

    (3)
  • Brian M.

Wow, what a scam. They actually do not know how to.cook fish here. Our grouper and snapper were way dried out and over salty. The prices are of course offensive, and the waiters do their best to upsell you to the higher priced option to a point that you feel like you're in a used car lot. Waste.Of.Money.

  • Tommy M.

You would think that after having 2 successful restaurants, Prime 112, and Prime Italian that a 3rd should be a walk in the park....nope I guess not. Instead of boring you with a long winded review here's the low down: Pros: * If you dine outside it is an amazing atmosphere * Food is delicious, no matter what you order it will be good Cons: * Inside is cramped and very loud that you can not even hear anyone at your table * Waited 40 mins to sit down EVEN after having made a reservation 4 hours before coming * The service is horrible from forgetting to bring waters, to not having silverware * Not enough servers for the amount of people there, (oh I'm sorry you didn't realize that restaurants get busy at 10pm on a Saturday, would you like me to come back on a Monday afternoon would that be better for you?) * Inside was very very hot, all the doors were open and the A/C obviously could not keep up, it's also not even summer yet and everyone was literally fanning themselves * The food is overpriced. I was shocked to see on my bill 1 cup of lobster bisque soup was $26 * The waiters never even brought out items we asked for like a coke, water, chopsticks for our sushi, etc... We had to keep waiting 10 mins to find the waiter and another 10 to get what we were requesting. We asked to speak with the manager, his name was David. He apologized and asked if he could bring us a desert on the house we said no that we have been there for over 3 hours already as everything took forever to come out. He said he would look at the bill when it was ready. When the bill came nothing had been done so we had to wait again for him to come back. He did adjust the $400 bill for four people slightly which did make up for a lot that night. All night we could also hear the tables around us complaining and asking for the manager, I felt bad for David as he was clearly swamped with complaints all night long. Miami is an amazing city to live in but the service at nearly every restaurant is very bad here. If this was a restaurant in NYC, Vegas, or LA none of this nonsense would fly. Restaurants should start flying their staff to one of those cities to be trained on how service is actually supposed to be like. I know Prime Fish is rather new, but they don't have it together yet in any way. I will consider coming back here in a few months again to see if things are any different as the food was rather good, but Come on, get it together guys!

PRIME TORTURE. Gave it 2 chances. Both times did not honor our reservation. Clueless hostesses. $18 half full martinis. 20 minutes to get drinks. Hour and 20 minutes to get dinner which was rubbery fish both times. Staff and manager Dave could care less. Courtyard is beautiful but if you're not a baller or celebrity you are dog Doo Doo. Typical Prime attitude. For fish go to Altamar, Catch or Lure.

Food poisoning ruined our vacation! Terrible service-waited 1:40 for our entrees. And blasting of the air conditioning made the experience awful. This place really needs to shape up to live up to the name and hype.

The food was good but the service was terrible. The wait staff tried to push the wine and the specials. They did not check on us during the meal - we could not even get a spoon for our appetizer. I do not mind paying for good food but not worth my money to be ignored.

Great place and addition the the Prime family. Great meal. Not quite 5 star like their sister restaurants, as I felt that the service was not up to snuff and the prices were slightly higher. But I would go back.

Amazing seafood!! Went for my birthday with my parents and sat outside which was a great quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent. He was very attentive to all of our needs. I had a spicy calamari appetizer which I highly recommend. We ordered fish and a bunch of appetizers. The seafood stuffing is really good and unique. Definitely a place I will return to.

Went to Prime Fish last night for dinner. We were seated at our table promptly , ordered wine and immediately noticed the waitress was a bit aloof. She really was not versed in the menu or specials but we ordered four appetizers. The Caesar salad with Kale was one of the best I have had and there was enough for more than the four of us. The Big Eye Tuna roll was excellent as were the other apps. The manager, David introduced himself and asked if everything was good thus far. Perfect was our response. It was 9:30 when they cleared our plates. For the next forty minutes not a sign of the waitress. She finally stopped over, never once offering to pour our wine and said our food would be out shortly. 15 minutes later no sign of her or the food. I had to find the manager, David and ask him to check on our food. He apologized and said he would check. 10-15 minutes later, now an hour since our apps were cleared dinner was brought over by another server one plate at a time. Food was good but really not great and it was almost 11:00 when we sat at 8:30. David insisted on comping desserts which were huge and very good but we never saw our waitress who avoided us until check time. After discussing the myriad of possibilities for the waitress ignoring the issue and us, we still left a significant gratuity in the hope it was just "a bad day for her". The manager, David who did come by four times to apologize was obviously new but made the effort. Good food but service was really far below the Prime expectations.

Second time we have dined there. This time, we took a group of 10 with a reservation placed weeks ahead. We showed up on time and the night was cool. Heater were in place with most tables. As a larger group, having arranged service weeks ahead, we requested a heater when we arrived for the table. They agreed. 20 minutes later, No heater. request #2 with agreement by the manager. 20 minutes later. No heater. Second attempt with the manager. 10 minutes later and 50 minutes. No food, no heat lamp. Other tables of fewer people had heat lamps. 1:10 heat lamp arrives as does first course. Eventually dinner arrives. One of the party order a simply petit fillet. Does not arrive until the end of the meal. "A problem in the kitchen" I suspect the problem was a failure to fire the meal. The waitress was as nice as could be but the kitchen sucked, the manager sucked, the overall service was terrible. I will not be coming back. This evening there two managers, a young male who remained on a cell phone half the night and had the look of a deer in headlights and a young woman. Neither seemed to have any clue as to how to manage a restaurant. Myles get your act together

Gross. I guess when I asked our server if the wok salmon was good and she said yes it is the nemo special I should have known. Nemo was there first seafood place to close. Lobster kinda stunk too but when all you have is 4.5 lb lobsters I don't think good was expected. Yet the lobster might have been the best thing we had. I am just thinking now that I am home whether I should force myself to throw up cause i might be sick or just go to sleep. This place is a big skip!

In terms of food quality and taste, this may have been the best seafood experience I've had in a decade. Literally every dish was top notch. We left so full we couldn't move. Screw the skinny models here that don't eat! We ate enough for all of them. The tuna poke was ruby red and incredibly fresh; the salad was enough for more than 4 people. Be careful with up-selling; we asked for 1 stone crab claw and they brought 3. We ate them, but I know we didn't order that many. All the main courses were large, and we should have ordered less and shared. Swordfish schnitzel was crisp and ridiculously delicious. Whole fish was beautiful and crazy good, cooked to perfection. Sole meunière was richly flavored and we couldn't eat it fast enough. As for the atmosphere, we sat outside on a beautiful night, watching smoking hot chicks walk by - eye candy overload. Yes, this is a SoBe hotspot, and yes, it's skinny girls in every seat. Still, the dining experience was a delicious adventure. One caveat: main courses took 2 hours to come, and they apologized but didn't comp even one dish or dessert - that's weak. Still, it's a hip place for a tasty fish meal.

Prime Fish is in the same restaurant family as Prime 112, Prime Italian, and Big Pink. My husband and I are huge fans of Big Pink, so we thought we'd try a few of the group's other restaurants while we were in town. It was convenient for us since all are located in the same square block of the SoFi district of South Beach where we always stay. We were informed that all four of the restaurants carry many of the same menu items and cuts of meat/fish, though they have different preparations and spins on dishes depending on which establishment you choose. This is something to make note of all you people who wait hours just to be seen at Prime 112. You can't visit Miami and not get fresh seafood, so that's what brought us to Prime Fish. The gorgeous courtyard begged us to take a seat outside. It has a Mediterranean feel to it. The big arched windows, hanging lanterns, and candlelit tables all nestled under an enormous tree makes this quite the romantic spot. Our server brought us a few fresh baked rolls sprinkled with sea salt before he walked us through the massive menu. He was great with his recommendations! My husband and I each chose our fish a la carte with a separate family style side to share. He went with sautéed halibut while I opted for grilled swordfish, which is a favorite of mine. We added on a side of herbed butter to spread on our fish and it gave both varieties so much flavor! My husband unfortunately found a few small bones in his halibut, but other than that, we had no complaints. The side we thought would go best with both fish selections was garlic mashed potatoes. They were whipped to a perfectly smooth consistency and contained just the right amount of garlic. I would most definitely give Prime Fish another try next time I'm in Miami. That gorgeous courtyard will beg me to come take a seat again, I'm sure.

Decided to check out what Miami Spice was all about. Chose Prime Fish bc I've been to other prime restaurants and really enjoyed them. The spice dinner menu was $39 a person witch I assume is basically the same price for any restaurant participating. We chose the ahi tuna poke, the civiche, branzino and swordfish. Desert was also pretty good, but nothing exceptional. Each dish was delightful, but the ahi poke really stood out to me. The fish was basically melting in my mouth. I would go back just for that!

Came here for Miami Spice. Seated promptly for our 8 pm reservation on a Monday. Definitely more space available since the Labor Day weekend crowds have left. Hawaii poke tuna 4/5 - melt in your mouth fish but the sauce was not necessary Swordfish schnitzel 4/5 - delicious breaded fish with a fried egg on top that when split with a fork creates a delectable sauce with the butter underneath. Just a bit too rich for me! Fried Oreo with Vanilla Ice Cream 5/5 - reminds me of fried Oreos from the Houston rodeo. A perfect dessert as the crisp Oreo pairs well with ice cream ! Service 5/5 - very attentive waiters wiped out table in between dishes and made sure our glasses were full Would gladly come here again!

So I had one of the best dining experiences here in late April. It was a breezy evening and we were seated on the patio under a large tree. The menu was a little overwhelming with so many delicious options. It took awhile for my date and I to decide what to order. We started with some nice cocktails and then transitioned to a bottle of Pinot Noir. Pleasantly surprised that there were some reasonably priced good wines to choose from on the wine list. I started with the tuna poki which was amazing. My date got shrimp cocktail. Then I ordered the swordfish schnitzel which I had never heard of but read the earlier Yelp reviews on it. It was definitely more schnitzel like than swordfish. Though saltier than I would have preferred, I still ended up finishing it. He got lobster tempura and it was a huge dish. He said it was one of his favorite dishes ever. Not knowing the main dishes would be so plentiful, we also ordered the lobster mac and cheese. Though it was amazing, neither one of us ate much mac & cheese because we were stuffed! Then it was dessert time. I would have easily passed since I was full but my date has quite the sweet tooth. Twist my arm! The waiter described a number of desserts which made me want to try at least three desserts I should not be consuming. We decided on the red velvet cake. It was the largest slice of cake I have had and there was also a mini red velvet cupcake on top of it...yummy. Of course, we only had a few bites of it because it we could not eat any more food. Anyway I would love to come here again. Next time I may order the fanciest thing on the menu....Kobe steak ($35/oz...2 oz minimum) just to say I tried it. Really want to try the smores in a mason jar dessert. It looked amazing.

Came here last night to try the Miami Spice menu, which did not disappoint. Our party chose to sit outside because of the shorter wait time, and I'm so happy we did. The atmosphere was great outside. Service was a bit slow at first, but then quickly picked up. Food was delicious. I had the lobster bisque, crab lasagna, and the coconut creme brûlée. My least favorite was the dessert. We also ordered the truffle lobster Mac and cheese, which was to die for. Everyone else in my table loved their food; happy and full stomachs all around!

We were here for Miami Spice. All servers were in a hurry to pick up our plates. They did not give any time in between meals as the dishes were set on the table one right after the other. We felt VERY rushed by the service (all of them). Tip: Their ceviche is better when you eat it together with the accompanying tortilla chips. Lobster lasagna was ok, but not impressive. For dessert, we had the same fried Oreos as Prime 112, and of course, they were delicious. The coconut creme brûlée was awful and not baked properly as the texture of the custard was off. For a small seafood restaurant of its caliber, I expected much more with the seafood dishes. Not returning here.

Food was excellent, but service was lacking. The waitress was not nice or helpful. She was rude and very short with us. Everything seemed like a hassle or that we were inconveniencing her. She questioned if we told the front the correct number of people in our party. We always had to ask for refills on water. Waited forever on refill on wine. For the checks she wasn't happy about us using multiple cards. She also made us feel like criminals asking to see everyone's ID and saying this is a brand new policy. I've eaten everywhere from Quality Meats to Michael Mina and we've paid with multiple cards and never were questioned. Again, very disappointed in the service. She is clearly not happy to be working. I would go back, but would not want her waiting on me or anyone else.

I have to admit that I didn't have high hopes for this restaurant, which we tried for Miami Spice. Wow, was I mistaken. I started with the Tuna Poke and it was sublime. I did everything but lick the bowl. For the main, I had the Swordfish Schnitzel -- out of this world. The swordfish was perfectly cooked and topped with a sunny-side up egg, which, when cut, coated the swordfish in a wonderful sauce. On the side was perfectly cooked broccolini. Wow!!! For dessert, a wonderful creme brulee. Since the amount of food we received seemed very substantial, I asked the server if they were serving regular portions for Miami Spice. She said that these were smaller portions and that they normally serve "steakhouse" sized portions. Funny because I thought the amount of food we received was exactly right. I can't imagine packing up half my dinner (particularly seafood) and carting it home for later. It'd be nice if they offered these size portions as an option throughout the year. Service was attentive and first-rate. Definitely worth a visit!

Was there for Spice Menu on a Tuesday, excellent service/quality of food. Bit disappointed about being charged $9.00 for "still" water but service was impeccable and being " local" will certainly go back!!

Excellent service from the time I walked in to the time I left I had a seafood said we should for appetizer that was scrumptious and I also had for my maincourse a 8 ounce filet with Bernie sauce it was heavily the steak melt in your mouth and for dessert I had a coconut crème brûlée that was to die for overall great restaurant great service great atmosphere beautiful Decour.

Excellent!!!! As per the waiter's recommendation we tried the Louisana style grilled oysters and they blew my mind! Then had the yellowtail snapper - delicious!! Hubby had bbq bacon wrapped shrimp and he really enjoyed it. Perfect dinner, great ambience and excellent service! YAY!

Excellent food and server. The chopped salad was supreme and also the filet mignon (maybe a little bit small). The only problem for me was that I was too noisy and it was hard to talk with my friend.

Incredible dining experience. While the restaurant was empty on a Friday evening, which seems a bit peculiar, the meal was fabulous. The bread, steaks, tuna, etc was delicious. The servers were personable and accommodating. Absolutely great! Only suggestion-don't call it a kale Caesar if it's 5% kale and 95% romaine.

Would have rated higher but noise was unbearable. Outstanding food. Nate was our server - did a very professional job. He and his team were outstanding. I had the swordfish Schnitzel - great dish. Portion was large (enough to share). Can't recall what others (we were a party of 6) ordered but everyone was pleased with their selection. Interior décor was well done taking advantage of the 1920 style of construction. Warning - the noise level in side was atrocious. If you can't sit outside because of heat, rain or availability - go somewhere else. The delicious and wonderful food was not worth the torturing noise we had to endure. I'm sure I would have enjoyed my meal even more if the noise was abated. Don't know if anything can be done. Carpet would help, but would hide the antique (in part) tile floor. Drapes would help but don't know where they can be put. We will return but will not dine inside - waiting for warmer weather.

WOW ! is an under statement ! I dinned @ prime fish twice over the past 8 days (I' m visiting from Los Angeles) everything on the menu looks delicious ! First dinner @ prime fish i had Maryland Lump Crab ! mouth watering & fresh. i was beyond impressed. (Parker my waiters was so nice, explained the menu, she was very helpful. catered to all my needs, 5 stars all the way ! i also had the Santa Barbara pinot noir 3 glasses hehe, it was perfect with the crab. My second visit was last It was a very quiet night, perfect for my date ! our waiter was extremely helpful as they are known for their fish, he had Pan Roasted Bell & Evans Chicken ( it looked good, but i don't eat meat) I had Black Grouper Imperial, it was amazing ! no complaints ! my next visit to Miami i will definitely stop by for dinner 5 star customer service, 5 star dining

Excellent food, service and ambience! I've been here many time and it never disappoints. First of all, the food is delicious. I've had everything from Alaskan king crab legs to the Chilean sea bass and the swordfish schnitzel. The sea bass swimming in carrot butter is one of the best dishes I've ever had. The schnitzel is tender and moist, unexpected for swordfish! It's also a great place to get one of the famous prime steaks without having to fight for a reservation at Prime 112. In my opinion, they cook it even better at Prime Fish b/c less people are ordering it. The service is impeccable! Miami is known to have pretty bad service, but Prime Fish does not fall into that category. The waitstaff is incredibly attentive catering to your every need. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the price. It's on the expensive side but worth it.

Valet was $15, seated under a beautiful tree, nice waitress. Had the kale ceasar which was fine for all 4 of us, it was really fabulous. I ordered miso sea bass which was very good but it's better at Nobu and had truffle mac and cheese on the side which was very good but not enough truffle taste. Manager, waitress and staff did a great job on service. Actually, could be best I have had in a long time. Never saw the bottom of my wine glass! The very interesting dessert was like a Barton G's, smores, with an adult twist. Loved it but the popcorn brittle was too hard to eat. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

We started with the beer salad and the New England clam chowder and we were pleased with both. Unfortunately that's where the dinner took a turn for the worse. We had the wok charred salmon which was soooo dry and lacked flavor other than being doused in salt. The desserts were enormous but disgustingly heavy. I felt like a pig at a trough being server such huge portions. Definitely not fine dining!!!

This place is amazing! I don't understand the bad reviews. The service was IMPECCABLE. We were served by Jimmy and Alfredo. They were excellent. Both managers came to our table. We get pampered. The food was just perfect. I wanted Truluck's but my hubby wanted to try this place. I graciously gave in and was rewarded by an incredible experience!

Food was fabulous!! Our waiter (Richard) was attentive with a great sense of humor!! I ordered the Wok Charred Wild King Salmon w/four sprout salad, toasted pumpkin seeds & soy lime vinaigrette. The best salmon I've ever had!!

I live in Vegas so I'm used to fabulous dining, and prime fish definitely met those standards! If you plan on dining here make sure you sit outside. Absolutely gorgeous and so romantic! We ordered oysters, jumbo shrimp, and a massive crab leg. Amazing. We also ordered the steak which had great flavor but was a little fatty. Overall I will remember this venue and the ambience until my next visit! The service from Alfredo equaled the beauty of the venue!

The food was delicious at the restaurant, unfortunately the valet lost our key. We spent 2 hours trying to get the valet to retrieve our key and on top of that the valet leaves the keys on top of the front wind shield (huge safety concern). Please do not valet your car here most do not speak English and do not help much.

5 stars for ambience and service. 4 stars for food. We had scallops, blackened grouper and yellowtail snapper. The snapper was oversalted. Scallops were perfect. Garlic mashed potatoes and creamy spinach sides were very delicious and enough to share for 4 of us. For a dessert we had chocolate key lime cake. The texture was nice and creamy.

We tried it on Easter Sunday with the Family. The look and feel of the place it's just as good as their other 2 locations Prime 112 & Prime Italian. We made reservations and arrived on time. They sat is right away. The menu it's extremely Varied. There's plenty of choices for fish, seafood and some steaks. The staff is friendly but not warm or extremely knowledgable like the other restaurants. Food was good, specially the chef's selections. Price? Expensive like the other Prime restaurants. I don't think I will go back again. Still prefer Prime 112 or Prime Italian.

(wow, 2nd time this wk I am 13th review -- spooky) Short short: Ring the Big Bell Off-the-wall excellent From the moment we checked in at the hostess stand til our exit several hours later there is not a single thing about our experience that I would surface a complaint about. We were offered a table either inside the dining room or out on the patio and it being a nice evening we chose outside and ended up under some ancient tree that the building had been built around. Mom was most pleased with the aesthetic. We had a primary waiter who was intimately knowledgeable about every item on the extensive menu who had a lot of server and bussing backup. This is obviously a place that treats restaurant service as an honorable profession. A-One from start to finish. Food: Oysters were excellent (2 Pac-NW, 1 NewEng), Mom had a broiled-to-perfection fillet of Halibut, stepdad had a Filet Mignon right off sister 122's menu, nephew had Alaskan King Crab in the shell that he enjoyed, and I had the Alaskan King Crab 4-cheese Lasagna that was out of this world good (half I ate, rest was lunch next day and just as good). Table ordered potato and veggie sides and they were all quite good. Would have loved to have had dessert but they were overwhelmingly large and no one at the table wanted to help, oh well. Overall, top reco from me -- if you can afford it you won't be disappointed and this is a fine addition to the Prime Restaurant Group's stable.

This is more of a 3.5 review. We went to Prime Fish on a Saturday night with 2 other couples 2 weekends ago. We had 9pm reservations, and the place was packed, as we were expecting. It had only been open for 5 weeks at that point, but since they have multiple other restaurants in South Beach, I thought they would be more organized. My biggest issue of the night was the host/check-in circus. I know they were busy, but we were ignored for at least 10 minutes. None of the employees behind the desk dared to make eye contact. These people must have prior velvet rope experience at SoBe clubs. Anyway, once seated, I was able to appreciate the beautiful ambiance outside. Our server was very nice and attentive, and helpful with suggestions. The bread and fish dip came out immediately, and we ordered soon after. My fiance and I ordered the "Cracked & Stuffed" Maine lobster with Jumbo Lump Crab, Bay Scallops & Cognac Butter and a side of asparagus. The waiter left to put our order in, and we were enjoying our drinks (jalapeno-cilantro cocktail is fantastic) when our bread and dip was whisked away without being asked if we were done with it. Our friends ordered appetizers, one of which was one of the poke dishes, and they really enjoyed it. Once dinner came out, everyone liked what they ordered. Our stuffed lobster was huge, and the stuffing was good, but very heavy. The 2 of us couldn't finish it. We will consider coming back for another try on a Sun-Wed night, maybe.

Just like all the other Prime's, Prime Fish has been added to my MUST go to list while in South Beach. The food is to die for! You simply can not go wrong going to Prime Fish. You will find that the menu is really similar to Prime 112 & Prime Italian with a tad more focus on the seafood of course. The decor is simple yet clean with an upscale vibe. Excellent wines, excellent cocktails. The bread and spread they serve OH MY LORD be prepared you might get full from just the bread because it is AMAZING!! The only thing I noticed different from the other primes is that I felt a tad rushed and it was Monday evening, not busy weekend. The waitress came to our table every few minutes not really giving us time to catch up but besides that she was a great server just wish they would have given us some more time to decide on our meal.

It's unfortunate that a place with amazing food can't get their shit together in regards to service. We waited an hour for a table with a reservation. We shouldn't have, we should have just left but we had friends from out of town and they wanted to stay. My entree never came out, and as a result we got dessert on the house. Our meal took 3 hours to complete. I heard about the bad service when they originally opened, I would have thought they got their stuff together, but they need a bigger kitchen or less tables because the whole thing was ridiculous.

A very upscale seafood spot in the heart of South Beach. I've dined here multiple times and everything that I've had was amazing, so you can't really go wrong no matter what you order. As with all the Myles Restaurant Group establishments, the service and ambiance is always on point. My wife and I like to go here for the occasional date night - the atmosphere is great for a romantic night out.

Went at 1130p om a friday. Have been Italian and 112 and both are top notch food, beverage selection, service and ambiance. Ordered the red snapper crusted in Panko w an amazing argula wine butter sauce. Wow... also the filet is the best in town. Mac and cheese was cold at first but they made a new one and it was solid. Always consistent and great food. Had a bottle of veuve and it paired great. The pineapple upside down rum cake w vanilla ice cream was amazing! Warm and tasty and oh so rich. We ate so much and left so happy. A few service details were off which is why they didn't get a 5 star but overall good for miami.

We thought this place was great! Arrived early and sat at the bar for about 40 mins and enjoyed a drink. The young latino woman that waited on us was great and served us well while she beat the bus boys off who kept bothering and flirting etc. That was the only negative of the night was watching that in front of us. We had some oysters at the bar and a huge stone crab claw as an appetizer at the table which was fantastic. I went with the filet mignon believe it or not and my spouse went with an amazing salmon. I definitely recommend sitting outside which added to the experience - beautiful night. Our waiter was attentive and nice. Not cheap but worth it. No complaints!

Decent wait staff and agile bar staff. Terrific chopped salad... The good stops there.... We waited 1 hr and 50 mins for our table. The reservationists had obviously accepted dozens of reservations they knew the couldn't accommodate. There was a 20 minute wait just to check in! We were told to grab a drink and wait about 20-40 mins for our 7:30 reservation. One darling bearded hipster waiter did bring us bread and water during our interminable wait and refused a tip- he felt so bad for us! During the wait we were crammed into the bar area as waiters tried to get through. Kudos to a sweet bartender who worked her rear off with a smile to accommodate everyone who had to wait so long. When I inquired with the manager, he promptly ignored me. Finally sat down for dinner close to 10 pm (7:30 reservation!) we were told to order quickly so we'd get some food on the table. Good chopped salad arrived in reasonable time. Dinner arrived and hour and a half later: tuna tartare in a puddle of sick-sweet sauce served with a dry cold rice ball and rubbery scallops (highly recommended by our waitress) prepared with an unsightly blob of foie gras. Our friends ordered $45 coconut shrimp and waffles unartfully served with 3 sauces that were never described or explained. We didn't order dessert as by the time we finally got food the whole evening was ruined beyond what a kiddie dessert could cure. Prime Fish, your ruined our night and that of many other angry patrons. People don't mind paying, but they expect a great experience in return!!

Last night, I had the crab lasagna and it's one of the best dishes I've ever had. Instead of a red sauce, they use a rich lemon-butter sauce. Definitely the best lasagna I've ever had. My girl had the grouper with the wild mushrooms. They use a mix of servers and waitstaff so you never feel untended to.

Food was fantastic. Service was great for the most part. The only thing was, waiter recommended the most expensive items on the menu, and the recommendations wasn't good. We ordered a dozen oysters, two pokes, two tuna tartars, shrimp cocktail and truffled deviled eggs and a vegetable side to share. We thought this was more than enough food (which it turned out most certainly was). The waiter said it may not be enough food. And recommended the lobster Mac and cheese (a $25 side item). We took his recommendation. Everything in our dinner was fantastic, except for the lobster Mac and cheese. So we wish we hadn't ordered that. The bread pudding is to die for. But it is a VERY large dessert. Enough to share with the whole table. $35 corking fee to bring your own wine. I did not witness this myself since I wasn't paying attention. But we had a couple of quite expensive bottles of wine, the friend I was having dinner with said she saw that they took the first bottle to the back to the kitchen before the bottle was done and opened the second bottle. I noticed they took the bottle to back, thought it was odd, but didn't really look. So I guess the only thing I can recommend is to just pay attention.
