I think the pizza here is excellent. This is your typical pizzeria - nothing fancy schmancy but definitely not dirty or run down. Clean, nice pizzeria with awesome pizza. Pizza is fresh, crispy, cheesy, and delicious. Service is very friendly. I always stop by here when I'm in the area. Better prices and frankly better pizza than those fancier places centrally located on Lincoln Road.

I had been smelling the pizzeria for a few days and finally decided to try it out!!! Man oh man I was not let down. Pizza was delicious! Get the sausage and pepperoni:)

Best pizza in south beach !! Slices are huge and filling. Go grab a slice of the pie.

Not a huge fan of this place ... But we always come here every time we are in south beach ... Good for after drinking .....

We have an apartment near one of their places, so we finally felt like ordering a togo pizza from them. They delivered it within good time, but the pizza was under cooked, it had no tomato sauce, and they did not chop up the toppings. There whole pieces of deli meat put on top, there was no attempt at proportionally cutting up the ingredients.

The pizza is good considering it's Florida! We got the pepperoni and plain...pepperoni rounds were huge and delicious. The slices are pretty big. We got delivery to our hotel and it was pretty quick for a Friday night.

Meh. I came here a few nights ago to grab a slice of pizza, and for some reason it just didn't taste the same and wasn't as good as my first trip here a few years back. The pepperoni slices they were offering were rectangular, almost as if they were trying to morph themselves into Pizza Rustica. If I'd wanted Pizza Rustica, I'd have gone there - Rustica is only about a block away. I came here because I wanted Groovy's triangle slice, taken from a traditional pie with that buttery and flaky croissant-style crust that Groovy's aways used to offer. Disappointing.

Nothing about this pizza place is good! First time I experienced horrible pizza on the 26 years of living. The pizza is so thin and filmsy. It's almost as if it was not cooked thoroughly. The cheese and sauce did not make it taste any better. More fake nasty cheese than dough. Which it why we had so much trouble eating. My very first homemade pizza was better than this $3 slice.

Delicious pizza, awesome prices, next to great shopping a few blocks from the beach. Love it

This is horrible! I came from New York and walked into this spot late night and it is extremely greasy and salty! Take it from a New Yorker don't come here unless you're drunk as hell!!!!!!

Worst service I have ever had. Took them over an hour to deliver my pizza which tasted like it had been made by lunchable instructions. I will never again order from these pirates nor shall I recommend them to anyone.

Pizza tasted rubbery and microwaved. Barely any sauce, way too much flower in the bread, and cheese was disgusting. The cheese fries were cold and stuck together. So gross!

If you're looking for american pizza, that's a good spot: cheesy and fat slices for a reasonable price - I would say it does the job bit isn't outstanding. The place itself is kind of busy, many people waiting around since there also is some kind of information for tourists inside. The waitress was clearly not having a good day since she was pretty unfriendly although, when I came back, she seemed to be calm again.. All in all a decent spot for a quick bite.

Robin D.
I liked it. It's not gourmet pizza, it's really rich and cheesy, and meat loving, with no tomato sauce as far as I could tell. Ordered large 18" for $18. They let us do half and half, so I picked two that was on display. I love the cheese and it's super filling. 4+ people can probably eat a large.
(4)
Echelon S.
I loved the pizza. The staff was funny and welcoming. New York Style slices. It's small setting reminded me of Jew town stores. Not so visible but good enough to get another slice.

$26 for 2 well drinks?! Dont mind if i dont!!! Crappy bar, crappy service and ridiculous pricing. 0 value for the money. Better to get off the beach and spend your hard earned dollars at a better establishment. We were treated like random tourists. Will never be back!!!

I came to Groovy's Pizza slightly inebriated after enjoying a few frozen drinks with a couple of friends at Wet Willies, so my review might be a bit off, but from what I remember, it is definitely the type of place where you come for a bite of cheesy madness and take a few minutes to sober up. In fact, this hole in the wall type of place is a prime spot for people who are walking on Washington looking for a place to relax. When my friend walked in with me, he was immediately puzzled because he said the pizza didn't look fresh. It doesn't. It is the type of place where they have huge pizzas (2-3x the size of a normal pizza slice) that have been sitting up for a few hours. However, if you warm them up, your taste buds experience wild flavors and cheesy insanity. The pizzas are to die for. Don't expect a five star pizza because you won't find it here, but overall the pizzas here are still delicious and come in a wide variety of flavors such as Hawaiian, tomato/basil/cheese, pepperoni, and meat lovers. The majority of pizzas here are around $4, which are unfortunate because they charge a minimum of $5 on card. The pepperoni square pizzas are $5 though. If you want a bottled beer here, it is a huge ripoff here. $4 a pop! It's Miami Beach highway robbery at it's finest. Overall, I will come here again if I am ever rambling Washington at night and need to eat. The place is small and a hole in the wall, but you just have to enjoy these nitty gritty eating stations that can be only found at a place like South Beach.
(4)
Bruce K.
A nice slice of plain cheese and a bottle of water for $5. Sit outside and watch the scenery walk past. A quick sprinkle of red pepper flakes and it was perfect. New York style, it covered a paper plate and a half.

Attapon M.
Pizza is really really good... But customer service sucks. I'm from Vegas customer service is a big thing, I walked in I feel like I didn't know what to do. I had to figure it all out by myself. But the only reason I'm still here is the pizza are amazing.
(4)
Crystle S.
My husband and I were staying in South Beach for two days after our honeymoon cruise when we found this place. There are a lot of pricey food places in the area, and a ton of pizza places but Groovy's had the largest slices that we saw so we gave it a try. Their prices were decent, $4 a slice for some massive, NY style slices. We got the bbq chicken, chicken parmigiana, and chicken tomato and spinach... All of them were delicious! I wish we had a place this good back home.
(4)
Scott R.
The pizza was not exactly fresh but it was still good. We sampled several of their items and all were good. The only thing that left a "bad taste" in our mouth was the guy who waited on us. There was no crowd but he was not friendly and made us feel like we were just a nuisance to him. Next time, I will hit a different pizza place just for this reason alone.

I used to believe the old pizza joke, that "pizza is like sex... even when it's bad, it's good." But this place proved that pizza can be just as bad as a STD. Pizza is never fresh, it always look old, who knows... 12, 15, 24 hours since it was prepared? Then this is one of the greasiest pizza I have ever tried, the plate was literally leaking and about to break from all grease accumulated. And finally, yes we all got sick the day after. So..., even if its open until late, you better cross the street and grab a frozen pizza at 7Eleven.
(1)
Lina L.
Huge slices, they had to use two plates, the place stays open really late/early so its good after partying all night to have somewhere to eat, it's not too pricey, and it tastes good enough to satisfy you. The business is really small so you may be taking it to go, eating it on your way to your next destination or they also have some table and chairs on the sidewalk.
(3)
Florina K.
Four cheese pizza is great, and so is the BBQ chicken pizza. Just a simple pizza place with fast service. I like that they have the outdoor seating.
(4)
Don D.
Best after a drunken night out. Open very late
(5)
Sarah M.
Pizza is doughy and sauce is sweet. Toppings are good, but prices are high for the area. Service is great. Not my favorite pizza - definitely not the traditional, savory NY style I'm used to.
(3)
Saba A.
I love Pizza. It's actually my favorite food. And being from Chicago, I missed pizza. So as a late night hunger, I went into the restaurant and it was like a pizza mall. LARGE sliced pizzas with different toppings on each one that were displayed, and there were many displayed. I don't recall the price, but I remember the server being freindly and a few people sitting there and eating. I chowed mine down at the hotel room and it hit the spot. But unlike other reviewers, I'm not very picky when it comes to pizza, I appreciate all different types! Also this is more of a grab and go type of place. So it depends on your style.
(5)
Patrick H.
Huge slices. My pepperoni and sausage was good. Kinda pricey on the bottled water and other drinks.
(3)
Ashley M.
Anytime we are looking for a ginormous slice of NY style pizza, Groovy's always hits the spot. We have been here as late as four in the morning and as early as noon, the service is always really fast and the quality of the pizza itself hasn't faltered. The slices are about four dollars each with toppings, or three dollars for cheese, but they are more than enough to feed one hungry man or two moderately hungry women. Each slice is about as big as three normal slices. We haven't tried the real thing in NYC, but the owner swears it is authentic. This place really is a hole in the wall with only two or three tables outside, so a great place to pick up a slice on the run, but hard to find a seat in the busier times. We have noticed that buying an entire pie saves a lot of money if you are planning on buying a few slices, so check with the cashier before ordering to see if it might work out better. Parking is crazy around there, and right in front is a bus zone, so be careful!
(4)
Rachel O.
I give it one star because they gave me my refund without wasting any more of my time and because yelp won't allow me to post without it. With that being said. I waited 40 MINUTES for 3 slices cheese pizza (nothing special) and the only reason why we waited like idiots for something so simple is because everyone kept giving us the "10 more minutes" thing. Oh and this old man working there had the audacity to curse at my friend when she asked for the pizza. That was the last of it. Obviously, we didn't even end up eating here, because seriously, who waits longer than that for a slice of plain cheese pizza?? Not I.
(1)
Brian T.
NOT Good. So many pizza places in Miami Beach- walk 10 feet and you'll hit another one. Cheese okay, sauce average, dough was lifeless and bland. Interior is not a place you want to eat in, and at $3 a slice- they could at least keep it nice. Pizza Guy, just rude. After I got my slice, I see him taking money and handling food all at the same time. So he's making and touching your food and holding money that could have just come off the floor. This place sucks.

Radhika G.
Frikking delicious. We ordered an XL cheese pizza twice during our four-day stay in SoBe... I had no idea cheese pizza could be that good. Friendly service - I walked into Groovy's after stopping at the liquor store and the guys working got really excited and took turns admiring my liquor picks. Only complaint is that they don't seem to have any sort of concern about waste. Each time we went, they gave us a stack of about 30 napkins, 10 plates, and 10 plastic containers with toppings - for three of us. We walked over specifically to give back all the extra crap they gave us... Make sure you tell them how much of everything you'll need before they hand over your pizza!

I like this pizza ... def. the best pizza i've had while in Miami!
(3)
Steve W.
The pizza was cold and mediocre at best. I had the bbq chicken and my wife had the vegetarian (which has no sauce, fyi). There was no room to sit at the restaurant so we had to take the pizza back to our hotel. The price was also suspiciously different from what was advertised...it was supposed to be $5 for a slice and a coke but for two slices and two cokes our total was $12? The service was the worst part. The lady at the counter was rude and not helpful. It was an extreme chore for her to put our slices in a box to go (because as I mentioned there were no seats). Overall, I wouldn't eat here again. Maybe try Pizza Rustica across 9th street.

Lowell Z.
This review is for the walk-up-and-buy-a-slice" crowd....I never had a pie delivered. The walk from anywhere in South Beach is worth it. We lived on Michigan near 2nd, and we'd walk past the crowd at the (very overrated) Pizza Rustica to Groovy's. Their BBQ Chicken pizza with bbq sauce is outstanding, and all the "by-the-slice" pies are excellent....There's a basil and tomato slice that is perfect for vegetarians, and the meat lovers can go nuts on the sausage/pepperoni slice. btw; All the "it's not a real NY pizza " reviews are so out of order .....".This is not real NY pizza!"... Who said it was? The best pizza in South Beach, period.

I've had my very fair share of slices, NY style in particular, and I must say, this afternoon's slice of cheese was offensively bad. Soggy, lukewarm, no ounce of crispiness, barely any sauce and just altogether inedible. Maybe the trash enjoyed it more than I did.
(1)
Ant J.
Small little place but this pizza is the best!!....Very large slices of pizza! Me and my fiance had a meat lovers slice each. I gotta say it was the BEST!! I was full after my first slice but i still help her out with her's :-)

I was in the mood to try some non-New York pizza and this place had just what I wanted... outdoor seating. I picked up a pepperoni slice for $4 (which sounds expensive, but this bad boy was MONSTEROUS!). The pizza was way too greasy. I wasn't feeling that at all. The taste was good, but it was gross and messy. Crust got all wobbly and shit. Toughen up the crust or lower the greasy stuff and I'd totally give this place a four. Until then...

Pizza seemed stale. We went late at night when we were tired and hungry. We ended up getting stale and bad tasting pizza.

Paarin M.
Positives: Huge slices with a good selection of toppings. Open late, and pretty cheap. The crust has a nice unique buttery taste. Negatives: WAAY too much cheese, and totally lacking in sauce. I actually had to inspect to see if there was even any sauce on there. The toppings also don't taste fresh compared to other places. Go to Pizza Rustica a few doors down. Its much better. Finally, compared to real NY Pizza, this stuff doesn't hold up at all. The only thing that makes it NY Style is the size of the slice.

I discovered this pizza place after laying out on the beach all day. We had a few drinks from Wet WIllies and this pizza looked like something that would soak up the booze. We got a couple to go slices and they were amazing!! The crust was on the thin side and the slices were very large. The crust had the perfect salty sweet balance, and all the toppings were just the right amount. I took my aunts back there a week later and we ordered a mushroom and tomato pizza to go. I think we ordered a medium, and it fed the three of us, with leftovers to spare. The prices here are great, and it's a super convenient location to grab pizza after a day of laying out on South Beach. I have never had a true authentic New York style pizza, but I imagine that Groovy's is pretty close to that. It's the kind you can pick up and fold in half. The next time I return to Miami, this place is on my list. It's so delicious!
(5)

This place is ok, used to come here for lunch often, now only pick up a slice every now and then when I am in the area... large slices, quality varies wildly depending on how long the pizza has been sitting in the window

My girlfriend and I were on vacation in Miami Beach and decided to be lazy and have pizza delivered to our hotel. We ordered a large cheese pizza from Groovy's but instead, received a flattened, cheese flavored tire. The pizza arrived 1 hour after we placed our order and the delivery guy made me come to the lobby to pick it up! When we finally opened the box, the pizza was cold and slimy. After one bite my girlfriend felt sick...I managed to have 2 slices, which took 20 minutes to eat due to the rubbery texture of the cheese! Overall our Groovy's Pizza experience was awful. 1 hour for delivery Had to pick up the pizza in the lobby Cold/Slimy/Rubbery texture My advice? Stick with edible pizza you know will arrive promptly.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. My review will be short because I already feel like I've wasted 2.5 hours of my life that I'll never get back. Our waitress was useless, we ordered an appetizer that never came, our pizza order was incorrect, and our pizza crust was raw. They did try to be nice by giving 20% off one of the pizzas but that still doesn't fix the fact that this place sucks. It's ok, by the next time that I come down to Lincoln Road this place won't exist.
(1)
Stefanie B.
Massive slices, great prices. What more can a girl ask for? And they accept credit cards, even though it's only $3 or $4 a slice- a huge plus in my book. Make sure you have plenty of napkins---the grease was literally pouring off of my cheese. Mmmmmm.
(4)
Maria M.
This was a nightly destination on my last trip to Miami. Nothing like some decent pizza to soak up a long day of drinking. I've had much better pizza, but a slice with some necessary toppings isn't bad. I wouldn't get a plain slice though, nor would I go out of my way. Luckily, this spot was around the corner from our hotel, hence the frequent visits.
(3)
Michelle W.
Stopped in after a night of debauchery and had a slice that was GIANT, and yes I ate every last crumb...well, except the 2 tomatoes that jumped into my lap...maybe I did eat those too... hmm... Anyhow, fast, flat NY style pizza. The crust is pretty good, but the sauce is kind of nondescript. This is easily fixed with hot sauce that they have on hand. I did enjoy my slice more than some of the other nearby locales and as the others mentioned, it's cheaper. I may upgrade them after I try some other pizza varieties.
(3)
Chelsea D.
Quick and delicious! We ducked in here to get out of the rain and ended up ordering a couple slices. Each slice is HUGE greasy cheesy goodness.
(4)
Whitney T.
I love the fact that they have so many beef products! Beef pepperoni, beef sausage, etc. I don't eat pork so I was really happy about this. My slice was $6 and really good and was so big I couldn't even finish it. Only thing I disliked was how crammed it was. I was there during Memorial Day so it was extremely crowded. This place isn't big so we were lucky to find somewhere to sit, but the seating is sooo close to where people order. It's very crammed and narrow. The seating area was also dirty but I understand they were slammed and may have not had time to clean like the usually would. But other than that, I definitely recommend trying it out!

Our party of 7 hit this place up after Mansion- they were nice, quick and the pizza was toasty and delish. Giant slices that require 2 paper plates, gooey cheesy yumminess! The lady attending had a great attitude and made us feel very welcome. The best part of the visit was when she suprised us by putting on some Dr. Dre for us to honor the West Coast- that did it! She won our hearts! Thanks Groovy's we shall return!

Miami restaurant Gods - please bring a Groovy's Pizza to Coconut Grove, so I no longer have to endure the mediocre pizza options in my 'hood. Then again, if Groovy's was closer to home I'd probably gain 10 pounds, so maybe it's better this way. Christian L. and Evette A. suggested this place, and we grabbed a bite after a long, leisurely beach day. Cheesy and delicious - this pizza definitely met all my expectations. As a NY pizza girl, I've been really disappointed in my Miami options, but Groovy's was a massive, ultra-cheesy slice of pizza heaven. I totally forgot to see if they have garlic knots - if so, I'd love it even more. They have a few tables outside, if you're lucky enough to snag one, and I think there were some stools inside, in the back. The crust, as Evette A. promised, was amazing. Doughy, buttery and delicious. Danny's description of it as croissant-like was right on the money. You won't be disappointed.
(5)
Stephanie L.
I had this pizza two days ago and I'm STILL craving it! They were very nice when we called and although the pizza was a little cold and a little later than promised, after some re-heating in the oven it was the best pizza I've ever had on the beach. The crust is unbelievable - it has just the perfect amount of sweetness and is fluffy and crunchy at the same time. LOVE IT!

HORRIBLE!! this had NO sauce in it, and if it did was like 0.2% of it, i had to literally drown it with hot sauce...pure cheese....the dough was uncooked...SMH "Shaking My Head"....if u want good pizza hit PIZZA HUT or DOMINO'S! overall rating: 0....ZERO...BLANK....NO stars

This is the only place I ate at twice during my weekend in Miami Beach, and it was exactly what I hoped it was going to be. Fast, affordable, delicious pizza that leaves you with enough money in your pocket to do it big when you go out for dinner and drinks later.
(4)
Carrie H.
Let me start by saying there is a pizza joint on every block in South Beach, and my friend and I read all the reviews on yelp before settling on Groovy's. Only thing I can say is ...don't! Rude, inconsiderate, dirty, hot, and average pizza. Guy taking the orders yelled at my friend and then proceeded to stare daggers at us while we ate. For obvious reasons, this place gets one star and a BEWARE warning!
(1)
Danny F.
Pre-adventures en route to restaurants? Awesome. Kinda. It was awesome to have funny things happen with the odd people of Miami Beach. Kinda not awesome the walk from Lost Weekend to this place. But hearing the group talk high marks about this place made me feel better about walking the desert that is the Beach. 4 Dollars gets you a HUGE pizza slice. Probably as big, or bigger than casolas. Only this place actually has tasty pizza. Best part? A crust that has a sweet, buttery taste. Like a croissant. Awesome.

I haven't been to Groovy's in quite some time, and going this last Saturday made me realize why I loved eating their pizza. We used to go there every time we went to SoBe to hit up the beach. First stop was always Groovy's. They have many choices of pizza slices to chose from, hawaiian, meatlovers, veggie lovers, etc. My favorite is of course the hawaiian. No matter which slice you choose from, the crust is the best part. I have spoken to a member of the staff there maybe a year or two back and he explained that they get their flour from Italy. It has a certain mixture of items in the flour that makes the crust so soft, sweet and really flavorful. I have never tasted crust like this before. Usually I wouldn't eat the crust half the time with other pizza, but with Groovy's it's the best part. The slices here are huge and is topped with a lot of toppings. They have other items like subs, pastas, pizza by the pie vs. slice, etc. The are usually open until 4-5am so after a long night of clubbing it up, Groovy's is the best place to go for cheap drunken munchies. Just make sure you stash about $3-4 somewhere on you for later.
(5)
Martin O.
These are the biggest slices of pizza in South Florida. I would have liked bread to be crispier, but if you have the late night munchies, that might not matter much.
(3)
Chris V.
The place to go on South beach if you are a pizza fan and dining on a budget. You get HUGE slices of cheese for $3 and the spcialty pizza's are $4 tax was included, you could literally feed a family of 5 for $20!. I got a slice BBQ chicken pizza, but the others looked just as tasty and for some reason was in the mood for something different. Typically I set the bar a little lower for bbq pizza but this was quite good and would have got 3 stars for flavor but they stick about 1/2 a chicken breast of meat. Since meat is my thing I'll bump it up to 4 stars for that. ******************************* Went back for another slice a couple days later. This time it was the chicken spinach and tomato. The time was just about noon so i expected the pizzas on display to be as hot out of the oven as ever...Not so much.

Jonathan L.
My friends and I were just visiting South Beach and wanted to grab something quick. (We're from San Diego.) I'm glad we stopped by Groovy's cuz the pizza was super delicious! Each slice is only $4, and you can also order a whole pizza too. The slices are BIG. Really worth it. They also have a $5 deal for a cheese pizza and a drink. I got the Spinach and Tomato with Chicken. Yum. They also have vegetarian options (ie. Spinach and Tomato, no chicken). There are a bunch of other types on display. Wish I could try them all. Service is also really fast. But there's really only outdoor seating. It's not bad - there's a big umbrella covering you. It's just really hot and humid, something we're not used to. I am a fan of this place.
(4)
Gaftie M.
I have to get a slice every time I'm in Miami
(4)
Lorna B.
My boyfriend LOVES this place. It's cheap and he loves the fact that they always put big juicy olives on the pizza instead of those little itty bitty black olives. The crust has a light crunch to it and the sauce is nice as well. I prefer my pizza a little more New York style but all in all I will choose this pizza over some of the rest of the chains on the beach.
(3)
Trillvia P.
My obsession throughout my ENTIRE SoBe stay. NY style pizza open til 6am EVERYDAY? Excellent. Before the beach, for lunch, after the club, I was there so much they knew me by name! A slice costs $3, drink $1 and trust me, it's big enough to feed even the most starved child. My personal fave was the cheese pizza. I'm having a moment just talking about it.... Look, just GO there!

Maybe I've been spoiled by the pizza from NJ but the pizza was substandard.

Groovy's pizza is awesome!!! I can't compliment it enough!!!! The owner, Tina is amazing!!!! The pizza is delicious!!!

Seriously the worst pizza we have ever had. It was undercooked and had the consistency of frozen pizza. Very disappointing.
(1)
Alex g.
Stopped in for a slice after walking the boardwalk. The outdoor tables were crowded with people who ordered pies. I looked at the selection in the glass and wasn't impressed with what my choices. I went for simplicity and the true test of a good pizzeria - the plain slice. From what I can see, it seemed too cheesy and lacking the proper amount of sauce. I was right, barely any sauce. The crust has a sweet taste to it that I couldn't place. It's not the worst, "Meh. I've experienced better."
(2)
Crystal M.
$5 goes a long way at this place. I got a very generous slice of the BBQ Chicken pizza and it tasted amazing. The staff was friendly and the pizza looked fresh. Groovy's is located on Washington Ave in the mix with trendy clubs and shopping. Fun location and good food.

Monster slices, yummy - I've had one too many - fold in half - delicious pizza.

about 15$ (i think?) for a gigantic cheese pizza. delivered at 3pm during the world cup. thats nice, right? very cheesy, good crust. im going to have to try more. mmm pizza, cerveza y futbol.

While on vacation in Miami, I never thought I would find pizza as delicious as Pizza Rustica. However...after stumbling into Groovy's pizza to avoid an impromptu rainstorm I realized that all pizza on South Beach must be fabulous! Groovy's has a more traditional approach to pizza it's in the familiar triangular shape. The sauce was flavorful and the overall flavor of the pizza was great. The best part was that Groovy's is pretty easy on the wallet and the service is friendly and quick.
(4)
Jay M.
I was staying in South Beach for the evening, and wanted something quick and cheap. Groovy's definitely fit the bill for us. 2 of us had a slice of pizza (they are HUGE), and a soda, and I think our tab came to $15, including the tip.
(5)
Ginny D.
On our trip to SoBe, we were craving pizza (partly because there seemed to be a pizza joint on every corner) so we yelped and this place was the closest that had the most stars and reviews. We were definitely not dissapointed! The slices were humongo and the pizza was perfectly made. Loved the thin crust. Toppings were fresh and was not greasy at all! I had the pizza with fresh tomato and basil...yummo! And my Hubby had the meat one and he was one happy camper! ;) It was nice to know there was good food just blocks away that didn't cost as much as Ocean Blvd. restaurants. Thank you Groovy's!

Liba R.
I tried the pizza because of the great reviews on yelp!! I was looking for late night delivery and there was one bad review about delivery, but I thought to myself, that it might have been one time thing!! It wasn't! The delivery guy was rude and annoyed about the fact, that he had to go through the directory to get into my building?!! The pizza itself was OK! Yes it was big pie and the price is good! I am giving 2 stars because of the lady that picked up the phone when I called! Her name was Tina and she was Great! Nice and professional unlike the driver!!!! Thank you Tina! If I ever call back, it will be only because of your good service!

Sooooo good! And super cheap!

This pizza is the best on SoBe. I've had the plain cheese, the pineapple and ham , "meat lovers", and they've never dissapointed. I've come here during the day, late at night after partying and the pizza has always been fresh. The dough they use is unique - according to the owner they use a dough with a little sugar to give it's unique texture and flavor. The ingredients are fresh and I would even say it's better than most NYC pizza that I've tried-and I've tried a lot. I just wish the place was a little bigger as it's a hole in the wall but that's part of the experience I guess!

At First i was a little skeptical about this place do to its appearance but as the old saying goes dont judge a book by its cover. On top of that i couldn't resist the pizza they had displayed on the window, So i gave it a tried. The BBQ Chicken Pizza is actually one of my favorites, but i like the Meat Trio a lot more! They Have a wide Selection of Different Topping Pizza, and a slice goes for about $4 to $5 dollars. They also have philly cheesesteaks which i also got to try, i don't remember the Price but i do Remember it was Really Really good! They do offer Delivery but it has to be around the neighborhood and in a certain mileage range, That doesnt stop me because Anytime I have a craving for good pizza i always drive down here to get a Slice, doesnt matter if im in Pembroke Pines or Hialeah.

Let me tell you, for a mom and pop shop this place is awesome!! They have a variety of pizza from cheese, pepperoni, supreme, meat trio, chicken parmegeian, my absolute favorite what you have to go for..the bar-be-cue chicken pizza!!! Yumm is that good for a huge slice of pizza, one fills u up, the prices are 4$ a slice. They also have philly cheesesteaks, calzones and other goodies. Enjoy! Recommend to others and they love it here.

When I first went to groovy's pizza, I fell in love with their pizzas. I decided that if I wanted pizza on South beach, it would be at Groovys. But when I ordered home delivery they screwed up my order, twice. The second time they gave actually sent me a random pizza(not what i ordered with meat that I don't eat) because they apparently didn't have the toppings for the one I wanted. They could have atleast called to tell me that they didn't have what I ordered. To make things worse, they were rude and unwilling to take it back. Never do home delivery with Groovy's. Their service is terrible.

I thought their pizza was among the worst I've ever had (unless I got them on an "off" day or something). Or perhaps my definition of good pizza is different from this geographic area's pizza standards. It was incredibly soggy and had very little flavor to it. It is cheap and the slices are large, but those are probably the only positive things I can say about it.

Amazing pizza!!!!that was my first time i got groovys this guys know how to make pizza believe me i think you should try groovys when you got south beach they have quality service and best pizza

I never got to try the pizza. There was a lady ahead of me asking to see if she could add some ingredients to one of her slices. The employee helping her started yelling at the top of his lungs asking her "What is this you want?" She asked him why was he yelling and he took away the tray with the two slices he had already served her and yelled "No pizza for you" (very Seinfeld). The woman left but the employee kept yelling in a language I don' t understand and slamming down pizza trays. The woman might have been a bit obnoxious but the guy's reaction was completely out of proportion. And none of the other employees did anything. They just let him yell and slam pizza trays. I left. Very unpleasant.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Came all the way from Boston during MMW Over priced and services was horrible Food was ok
(3)Alana A.
(5)Jade W.
I had been smelling the pizzeria for a few days and finally decided to try it out!!! Man oh man I was not let down. Pizza was delicious! Get the sausage and pepperoni:)
(5)Courtney D.
Best pizza in south beach !! Slices are huge and filling. Go grab a slice of the pie.
(5)Sheeka J.
Not a huge fan of this place ... But we always come here every time we are in south beach ... Good for after drinking .....
(3)Pedro R.
(2)Emily S.
The pizza is good considering it's Florida! We got the pepperoni and plain...pepperoni rounds were huge and delicious. The slices are pretty big. We got delivery to our hotel and it was pretty quick for a Friday night.
(4)Paul W.
(3)Christine S.
(1)Airah B.
Delicious pizza, awesome prices, next to great shopping a few blocks from the beach. Love it
(5)Bianca E.
This is horrible! I came from New York and walked into this spot late night and it is extremely greasy and salty! Take it from a New Yorker don't come here unless you're drunk as hell!!!!!!
(1)Charlie V.
Worst service I have ever had. Took them over an hour to deliver my pizza which tasted like it had been made by lunchable instructions. I will never again order from these pirates nor shall I recommend them to anyone.
(1)Doug F.
Pizza tasted rubbery and microwaved. Barely any sauce, way too much flower in the bread, and cheese was disgusting. The cheese fries were cold and stuck together. So gross!
(1)Lukas R.
(3)Robin D.
(4)Echelon S.
I loved the pizza. The staff was funny and welcoming. New York Style slices. It's small setting reminded me of Jew town stores. Not so visible but good enough to get another slice.
(3)Anibal v.
$26 for 2 well drinks?! Dont mind if i dont!!! Crappy bar, crappy service and ridiculous pricing. 0 value for the money. Better to get off the beach and spend your hard earned dollars at a better establishment. We were treated like random tourists. Will never be back!!!
(1)Keith P.
(4)Bruce K.
A nice slice of plain cheese and a bottle of water for $5. Sit outside and watch the scenery walk past. A quick sprinkle of red pepper flakes and it was perfect. New York style, it covered a paper plate and a half.
(3)Attapon M.
Pizza is really really good... But customer service sucks. I'm from Vegas customer service is a big thing, I walked in I feel like I didn't know what to do. I had to figure it all out by myself. But the only reason I'm still here is the pizza are amazing.
(4)Crystle S.
(4)Scott R.
(3)Juan Pablo G.
(1)Lina L.
(3)Florina K.
Four cheese pizza is great, and so is the BBQ chicken pizza. Just a simple pizza place with fast service. I like that they have the outdoor seating.
(4)Don D.
Best after a drunken night out. Open very late
(5)Sarah M.
Pizza is doughy and sauce is sweet. Toppings are good, but prices are high for the area. Service is great. Not my favorite pizza - definitely not the traditional, savory NY style I'm used to.
(3)Saba A.
(5)Patrick H.
Huge slices. My pepperoni and sausage was good. Kinda pricey on the bottled water and other drinks.
(3)Ashley M.
(4)Rachel O.
Not I.
(1)Brian T.
(1)Radhika G.
(4)Xiomara P.
I like this pizza ... def. the best pizza i've had while in Miami!
(3)Steve W.
(2)Lowell Z.
(4)Monica S.
I've had my very fair share of slices, NY style in particular, and I must say, this afternoon's slice of cheese was offensively bad. Soggy, lukewarm, no ounce of crispiness, barely any sauce and just altogether inedible. Maybe the trash enjoyed it more than I did.
(1)Ant J.
Small little place but this pizza is the best!!....Very large slices of pizza! Me and my fiance had a meat lovers slice each. I gotta say it was the BEST!! I was full after my first slice but i still help her out with her's :-)
(5)William C.
(3)Sejal T.
Pizza seemed stale. We went late at night when we were tired and hungry. We ended up getting stale and bad tasting pizza.
(1)Paarin M.
(2)Heidi P.
(5)Frank E.
This place is ok, used to come here for lunch often, now only pick up a slice every now and then when I am in the area... large slices, quality varies wildly depending on how long the pizza has been sitting in the window
(3)Matt J.
(2)Oscar L.
(1)Stefanie B.
Massive slices, great prices. What more can a girl ask for? And they accept credit cards, even though it's only $3 or $4 a slice- a huge plus in my book. Make sure you have plenty of napkins---the grease was literally pouring off of my cheese. Mmmmmm.
(4)Maria M.
(3)Michelle W.
(3)Chelsea D.
Quick and delicious! We ducked in here to get out of the rain and ended up ordering a couple slices. Each slice is HUGE greasy cheesy goodness.
(4)Whitney T.
(4)cecy r.
(4)Hannah S.
(5)Stephanie L.
LOVE IT!
(4)Jenny C.
HORRIBLE!! this had NO sauce in it, and if it did was like 0.2% of it, i had to literally drown it with hot sauce...pure cheese....the dough was uncooked...SMH "Shaking My Head"....if u want good pizza hit PIZZA HUT or DOMINO'S! overall rating: 0....ZERO...BLANK....NO stars
(1)Matt L.
This is the only place I ate at twice during my weekend in Miami Beach, and it was exactly what I hoped it was going to be. Fast, affordable, delicious pizza that leaves you with enough money in your pocket to do it big when you go out for dinner and drinks later.
(4)Carrie H.
(1)Danny F.
Awesome.
(4)Evette A.
(5)Martin O.
These are the biggest slices of pizza in South Florida. I would have liked bread to be crispier, but if you have the late night munchies, that might not matter much.
(3)Chris V.
(3)Jonathan L.
(4)Gaftie M.
I have to get a slice every time I'm in Miami

My boyfriend LOVES this place. It's cheap and he loves the fact that they always put big juicy olives on the pizza instead of those little itty bitty black olives. The crust has a light crunch to it and the sauce is nice as well. I prefer my pizza a little more New York style but all in all I will choose this pizza over some of the rest of the chains on the beach.

I was staying in South Beach for the evening, and wanted something quick and cheap. Groovy's definitely fit the bill for us. 2 of us had a slice of pizza (they are HUGE), and a soda, and I think our tab came to $15, including the tip.
