We have eaten at Cholo's each of the last 3 times that we have visited Miami. Each time our experience has been great. The food is excellent. We have tried many items from the menu (ceviche, tiradito, causa, chupe de camarones, tacu tacu, etc.) and our group of 12 people have always liked everything. The restaurant is small, the wine selection is not ample and parking can be tricky; however, if you want to eat yummy Peruvian food at a fair price you have to visit this place. Highly recommended!

I ate at Cholo's also known at "Merkado 31" with my room mate on a rainy thursday night. We live around the area and we always pass this restaurant but never had the chance to try it. From the outside, you would think that it would be a small space with 4-5 tables but surprisingly, the inside was huge with about 7-8 tables plus a second floor. There was an open kitchen and bar area with differnt wines being displayed, the theme was sort of bistro-ish with a silver theme from the star-designed chandelier to the faded silver walls with distressed detail. It was a smart casual kind of place but dressing up was not required. Some guests where in slippers, inevitably because it is located on the beach. I had the Yuca appetizer which was wrapped yuca and deep fried similar to a roll served with a Peruvian cheese sauce that reminded me of pimiento. The yuca was warm and soft and the dip was spectacular. The flavor was just right. It wasn't to salty and it went well with the yuca. Then for entree I had the shrimp risotto. I was surprised that it came with a fried egg and cilantro. The risotto was amazing, from the rice to the sauce to the egg and cilantro. I didn't know you could have all those flavors in one dish. I like how they infused Italian and Peruvian cuisine into one. For dessert I had a dulce de leche mousse with meringue. It was alright. I didn't like the fact that I tasted the specs of sugar on my meringue. I didn't finish it. Total bill was 44$ drinks and tip included. I'd go back to try more dishes especially the grilled octopus. Maybe a different place for dessert.

3 stars because the rice wasn't cooked all the way through. I liked the decor and the modern feel this Place had. The server was good and our food came At reasonable time. I had rotisserie chicken with fries and rice. All of it was delicious except the rice, even though it still had amazing flavor. The chef was walking around looking at people eating but he should have been cooking the rice -_-. Anyways good food, hit or miss.

I had yet to try Ceviche in Miami and I've lived here for 1.5 years (shocking I know). To make sure my first experience was a good one, I of course scoured the reviews on Yelp and decided on this one based on the reviews and the proximity to my house. The waiter was excellent all night long. He was always checking in, but not obtrusively. The kitchen service was also very quick. I ordered the Ceviche Cholo's, which is their spicy selection for Ceviche. The dish has shrimp, Peruvian corn, yam, red onions and the red pepper sauce. The flavors of this dish were amazing, but the yam was what surprised me the most. Adding the sweetness of the yam to the dish really balanced out the spice. The texture of the shrimp was just a little weird for me, I presume being cooked by acid rather than heat. The price was very reasonable at $14.00 for the Ceviche, plus tax and tip (automatic).

Delicious food even more amazing service! This place is amazing and the ambiance is perfect for a date night ! Wish there was a place like this closer to my home! Will most definitely be coming back to this place again!
(5)Miriam Z.
Was exelent. The service and the mhi mahi plate with mash yuka and for me was perfect. The desert was diferent and verry good too
(5)Ryan W.
This place is LEGIT! My wife and I came here craving some ceviche and our craving was crushed! We each ordered ordered a ceviche dish as well as the grilled octopus appetizer. In hindsight the appetizer was a little overkill because the ceviche dishes were substantial portions. I also ordered a glass of Malbec. All of this came in at less than $50! That's a win in my book. The ceviche is definitely the highlight of the show in my opinion. It was really fresh, well prepared and great flavor. I got one of the spicier ceviches and my wife got the classic. We both loved our dish. I had to eat the octopus the next day, but it was still very good, and I would highly recommend it if you are hungry. The service staff is friendly and professional. The place can get a little busy and hectic at rush hour on Saturday night, so be prepared for a possible wait and choppy service, but all in all they took good care of us. I highly recommend you give them a shot!
(5)J W.
The Ceviche was incredible. Main course was Lomo Saltado which was cooked to perfection. Dessert was a Sweetened Condensed Milk with Cream over the top with nutmeg. It was almost like crustless pumpkin pie, but so incredibly sweet. Service was fantastic. We were the only non-locals in the place. Lots of families, very good place.
(5)Vilma S.
Absolutely Delicioso!! From the Ceviche Classico, Grilled Pulpo for appetizers and the Lomo Saltado and Paella for our main entrees-just fabulous!! Awesome meal from start to finish at a great price and wonderful staff that was so professional and friendly! Makes me want to move to Miami Beach to come here every day!!

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night, I chose to eat outside because inside was freezing, not kidding. I ordered the Quinoa shrimp with mashed yuca w/camu camu syrup the dish was very good but I wouldn't recommend it for your main dish. It was too much of the syrup and mashed yuca..not a great combination but it'd be ok to share it as an appetizer. My friend ordered a Leche de Tigre, it tasted delicious but they serve a small portion. In general, it was good for the price.

We came here for a somewhat special event and the manager made a big stink about how the men in our party and how other men in line were also wearing flip flops instead of closed toed shoes. Other then the flip flops, the guys in our group were wearing khaki shorts and dress shirts or polos. He didn't want to let us in. It was 7 pm on a weekday, so it's not like the restaurant was closed down for late night dancing. Also, the restaurant is located across from the beach. It's called "Cholo's on the beach." The saddest thing about the whole situation was that the manager (or guy in charge) who didn't like flip flops was wearing a pair of extremely shabby closed toe shoes. Like really old vans/skater shoes with laces. He was also sporting a black polo with white stains. The whole situation was strange and we considered leaving, but the head chef saw what was going on and waved us inside the restaurant. We tried some ceviche, causas, and beer. The food was alright, but we will not be returning since the manager freaked out about flip flops. There are a lot of nice Peruvian places to try out there.

Amazing food! Amazing service! Super flavorful. Just walked in and sat down with my family and had a really lovely experience
(5)Andres G.
If I could rate it no stars I would, came in at 10:30 wanting to have some Rossiter chicken and to my surprise the answer was "we don't have any since our kitchen closes at 10:50" I don't know what type of restaurant tells their costumers this when they are known for their chicken but oh well. The service was not great. Hope management sees this and does something about it! Next time I'll end up going to chalan or somewhere else their kitchen dosent run out of food for closing time.
(1)Jesica L.
This is the best ceviche I've ever had EVER. My husband and I were on vacation in Miami and were craving some good Latin food nearby. Thank you my fellow Yelpers for helping me find this restaurant. We ordered the ceviche sampler and ate every last bit of octopus, white fish and shrimp. The ceviche with the spicy Cholo sauce was my favorite! The service was great, the fish was fresh and incredibly tasty- nice and light to go with the lovely weather. I'd come here weekly if I lived closer!
(5)Ruben G.
Great place, good prices and the best Peruvian food. Exelent service. My waitres was "ALFONSO", exelent job.
(5)Hanh N.
Yummy we hadn't gotten good Peruvian food in a while it was good I love the ceviche tried their ceviche mixta today was so good differently need to come back before we leave well atleast we are going to try
(5)Annathena K.
Ceviche Ceviche Ceviche! We got the spicy one but they will make it whatever level of spice you like. I ordered half chicken and got a second meal out of it and then some and it comes with delicious garlic sauce. Even their white rice is extraordinary! Service wonderful- love it!
(5)Fabio D.
Food made to perfection, friendly Peruvian service and good ambience... Price is fair... But can always be better! I ordered a pesto pasta with a skirt steak! It was really great! The sauce was tasty and the meat was delicious! Congrats to the chef! The yellow sauce with fettucini and meat is yummy as well! You know when you say "leave the best for the end"? The 4 leches desert is something else! Fantastic Recommended and I'll be back with some friends!
(5)Michael A.
Fantastic. Hadn't had Peruvian food. This place was reasonably priced compared to everything else around. Service was excellent, though it wasn't busy. Had ceviche, lomo saltada, both of which were great. Causa limena wasn't my style, but wasn't bad.
(5)Jc G.
The food takes long to be served, but it's worth the wait. Ceviche is delicious. Decor is nice and it's a nice place. Most of these reviews are on point.
(4)Yazmin C.
The place was really cold, the staff is not trained to answer our questions about the menu.
(1)Cristina M.
This place was amazing! They give you "canchitas" (crispy popcorn kernels) when you sit. We ordered mussels appetizer which came with a mix of tomatos, onions and Peruvian corn in a deliciously spicy sauce(you have the option of how spicy, we asked for medium). Delicious, fresh and the sauce was superb. I ordered arroz chaufa with mariscos and loved it. It came with a generous amt of seafood including 2 mussels, 3 shrimps, and several calamari and octupos pieces. My boyfriend ordered ceviche mixto and as a peruvian he can vouch that it was amazing. The portion was good and the seafood fresh. We were both happy with our choices. For dessert we ordered picarones. The server described them as donuts and a peruvian will tell you they are more than donuts. They were freshly made but we both expected them to be more crispy. Overall we loved this place and would definitely go back. We have eaten tons of authentic food and this spot fits the bill perfectly.

I have dined here and worked an event. Owners are so nice ! Presentation is amazing The owner speaks to everyone and greets them He truly cares The staff is attentive Great service Helping Quality food Huge portions House made desserts on premise I have tried 5 appetizers & 4 entrees everything's amazing Go for the seafood !!!!! Highly recommend

WOW ! Ok so we just love Peruvian food so I looked on yelp to see some other options than the places we always go to. I found this place not to far from our apartment and saw the reviews and just had to try it. Wow am I glad we stopped in. First, the place is cute and very clean and trendy for a not so trendy area. Parking is so easy since after 6 p.m. you do not pay meters. Tried the Ceviche for $13.95 and the fish was fresh and really good. Service also was really good even though they add 15 % I think our server was really helpful. For my entree I got the chicken with rice and beans. I cannot believe they actually soak there beans you can totally taste the difference between soaking and canned. Prices are also really reasonable.
(5)Alex S.
I know in Miami you can find your self with countless Peruvian restaurant , same are worth going back and others not even remember there name . But if you are in north beach and you most have Peruvian this place it's the best. The ceviche traditional it's so fresh and delicious. for those who can have spicy , don't worry they will make it without rocoto (spicy Peruvian pepper) . The causa with chicken it's really good too, but don't order this for the chicken it's all about the potato and the mixture of flavor. Portions are big so don't order to many things, share some appetizer and order two main course and also share . The lomo Saltado it's really delicious. I love cholos .
(5)Hilda H.
Very well prepared Peruvian food,in a casual atmosphere. Very good service. We were a table of 6. Had anticucho, veal hearts grilled with sauce picante, fresh mahi Mai, camarones papadelle,Peruvian shrimps flamed with Pisco brandy,in a delightful cream sauce, quinoa breaded shrimp in Camu Camu sauce, with potato.Lomo Saltado,French fries, rice and sautéed onions, in soya sauce. This is that kind of place with very simple and informal atmosphere but with amazing food. They serve traditional ( and also some modern) Peruvian food. The Ceviches are awesome, very fresh and tasty...perfect for the hot days. I tried the Ceviche Mixto ( Fish, Scallops, Shrimp, Octopus) and it was delicious. Also recommend the Tiraditos ( kind of Sashimi topped with different sauces)....tried the Tiradito Tricolor ( 3 different sauces) and it was also great. Excellent service and very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend!
(5)Marat M.
If you like ceviche this is the place. Try the ceviche sampler, its enough for 2 people at least and tasted amazing.
(5)Khalid A.
Look, it's ok for 71st St., Miami's black hole of cuisine and culture. But for the rest of the world it's not good. It's trying to be gourmet, but it's over sweetened, over sauced and worst of all, not fresh seafood over all. C'mon guys, this restaurant turns over every two year - can someone get this right?
(2)Sue S.
Ordered the Lomo Saltado and the Jalea several times now and it's always been amazing!! I will try the ceviches next time when eating at the restaurant, just not too keen on having it delivered.

Place: I wore shorts and a tee at lunchtime and it was fine. The place however seemed like a place where I'd dress better for dinner. Even though the process are moderate, the staff feel more formal than that. Server: He was very resourceful, attentive and friendly. He knew everything on the menu and described all the ones I was interested in so that I could make a decision. Food: The Causa Limena was delicious. and the huacaina sauce was so good. I had the ceviche a la brasa for my main course. It was great. The fish is lightly fried, then served in the leche de tigre and topped with onions and the sweet potato and choclo. The fish comes warm so it is unlike traditionally cold served ceviche. The leche de tigre in this fish was spicy, slightly creamy, sweet, smoky and pretty much amazing. My friend had the mahicucho. It's grilled mahi served with the anticucho sauce and mashed yuca. That, too, was really delicious. There was also someone having the chicken...like the rotisserie chicken and that liken f-in good. There are several dishes I want to try and I can't wait to come back.
(4)Kelly M.
The food here was excellent as well as the service. Grilled octopus appetizer was outstanding. The grilled quinoa shrimp was excellent as well! Service was friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend !!!
(5)Jason B.
This place was amazing. I can't believe a place this great was priced so low. One of the best meals I've had in Miami. I was dubious about Peruvian fusion but they mix Italian and Chinese very well with Peruvian dishes. We all loved our choices and I'd recommend this place to anyone. Personally, I had a bistec with a pesto fettuccine and it was delicious. The wait staff was polite and attentive. The ambiance was relaxed and upscale. All in all, a wonderful experience.
(5)Nick Q.
Whoooaaaaaa! OMG I need a nap! This place was so delicious! Clean modern atmosphere, decent service, spectacular flavors. I'm a happy camper. Come hungry! We shared a Chicharone de Pescado and a Ceviche de Mariscos and I'm stuffed. I have an Ocean Front condo for sale around the Corner from here, my client loves this place and she was so right! I had 5 buyers come back to back and needed a delicious meal afterwards. I'll be back very soon to try out all the other things on the menu. The price is fair for what you get.
(4)Jose N.
The best ceviche on the Beach! Everything is great and fresh . Consistently great service ! Must try ceviche tradicional!
(5)Joe Victor B.
The food is Very Good. They should only learn to be more customer oriented with the customers. Sometimes they are too rude.. But other times they are good. Food is fantastic anyway!
(4)Karla E.
Food was OK at best. Pretty pricey for just OK food. My biggest problem was that they charged me another 15% tip on top of what they put on the receipt(15%). So I was charged 30% tip! I went back and they told me that they'd correct. I wanted them be aware and to fix in case they have a rogue server. After a couple of weeks, no credit back to my account, so I called again. Still nothing a month later. I tried to do things right, but I'm very skeptical of gratuity padding places. BEWARE PEOPLE!
(2)D M.
I have never eaten food so delicious in my life at a restaurant. It was mouth watering. I ordered lomo Saltado and the beef was tender the sauce was out of this world. I couldn't believe the meal was $13.50 I would have gladly paid $25!!! The pitcher of Sangria was only $25 enough for 5 drinks. We ate in a large group 9 people. Staff was friendly. The chief came over to ask how the food was! I couldn't believe he cared that much. The presentation of the food was beautiful. It was clear that this place cares about its cliental. I will come back again !!
(5)Armando A.
I order a ceviche mixto. I went with the family. Everything was great. It is kind of small but great. Go early!
(5)Amy S.
The ceviche is to die for (not to mention large for the price)! Excellent service as well. It's location just a bit off Collins keeps the crowds away, but it is definitely a hidden gem.
(5)Carlos E.
I love Peruvian Food, and my daughter and I love ceviche. I found this restaurant near my home thanks to Yelp and I am very happy with this find. Ceviche is very tasty and reasonably priced, and so is the beer, their plates are very tasty and are presented beautifully. The causa rellena con cangrejo is fantastic. You have the option of dining outside or inside. The service is great, parking is a bit of an issue but it is not difficult to find parking in the vicinity. finally there is a good Peruvian restaurant near my place.
(5)Daniel S.
The ceviche was very good. The rest of the food was good, not great. I guess for the price it is a good value. The main reason for the 3 stars is because first of all to get 5 stars everything has to be perfect. For me, 4 stars has to be incredibly good and very few flaws. Being that they took an hour and a half to deliver, and the food was good and not great, I think 3 stars is still good. Next time, I will just stick with the ceviche and I will be very happy and probably rate them 4 stars.
(3)Eduardo R.
It's a great place !!! Food was delicious, people there are very friendly, definitely a place to go if you like to taste something different!!
(5)Cary M.
Enjoy this amazingly flavorful Peruvian cuisine when in Miami Beach for eat in or take out,the paella is delicious
(4)Andrea F.
Fantastic service. The ceviche was one of the best i have had, I use to visit frecuently ceviche 105 but their quality has dropped horribly. But cholos is the true ceviche heaven, my taste buds had multiple orgasm, seriously. The cevichera took a bit longer to prepare it but it was well worth the wait. Amazing!!!
(5)Daniel B.
It is the best Peruvian menu I've seen. Authentic and fusion, prices are reasonable for what you get. Good service and pleasant atmosphere, if your looking for a Peruvian experience then this is a good place.
(4)Cynthia F.
We've only ordered delivery from the. To food seems fresh and the flavors are great. Slightly overpriced.
(3)Sharon W.
5 stars on the ceviche alone! I have never had such delectable ceviche anywhere else. I ordered the ceviche de mariscos, which came with octopus, conch, shrimp and enormous sea scallops. The octopus and conch were so tender, not rubbery or chewy at all. The sea scallops really blew me away; there were at least 5 in the order and they were also perfectly tender. We ordered take away and the ceviche came packaged in a container with sections so that the corn and sweet potato (which were excellent) didn't get soggy. Other items were also fantastic - the crab causas were three large potato rolls topped with real crab and a creamy sauce and the pescado sudado arrived with delicately flakey fish in a savory sauce with red and green peppers. Ordering over the phone was a breeze and the food was ready when the Mr. arrived to pick it up. He said the staff were very friendly and the bathrooms were clean!
(5)Sven P.
Just one word: Excellent. I've been around Miami Beach and this is one of the places I can definitely recommend! Great price/quality ratio, higher then restaurants in the neighbourhood. Just look at the pics. My last stay in Miami I came here twice in a week...says enough I guess, especially from a Europeanen who appreciates quality!
(5)Yuzhou L.
Service is greatï¼Food is deliciousï¼ï¼ˆhad roasted chicken and fries)Also the free corns before the meal are good.
(4)Tesina O.
The food was so good! It was one of the highlights our my vacation. I hope they open a location here in Chicago.
(5)Dave F.
We were in Miami Beach for a couple days, looking for some good eats at dinner time. Wow, did we find it here! We had the Quinoa shrimp with camu, Sudado de pescado, Ceviche Cholo's and choco-lucuma dessert. Everything was delicious, good sized portions, intense flavors and friendly service. Who knows when we'll be back in Miami Beach, but when we return we're definitely eating at Cholos.
(5)Felix K.
Excellent food for the price - especially for Miami. Loved the lomo saltado and ceviche
(5)Lucy S.
BEST PERUVIAN PLACE! since the ones by my house (aventura) suck but wow this is worth the drive! The lomo saltado is hands down deli, and instead of free bread like in Italian restaurants they give you dry corn which tastes amazing. New fav place the waitress was attentive and super quick my sister ordered chaufa really good as well
(5)Nadia R.
i LOVE this place! Food is always Consistently GOOD! Seafood is fresh. Excellent Jalea and Chicharron, Grilled Octopus, and steak Chaufas!
(5)Sherri K.
Wow! My taste buds were in heaven. We split the octopus appetizer. It came with sautéed red/green peppers/onions and a to die for creamy hot sauce. We then split the taco taco limoneo. Nirvana! Huge white plate in the middle was rice and beans some crunchy like it had that good fried in the pan w/olive oil yumminess. Swimming in the best cream spice sauce I've ever had nestled in all this goodness were huge calamari rings, shrimps and small potatoes. Perfect for splitting. We were so full. Huge portion. I will dream about this dish until we meet again. We were new to Peruvian food and the waitress was super happy about explaining her favorites and how we should navigate through the menu. 30$ for both of us. No alcohol. Delightfully affordable. I wish we had saved room for her favorite desert. Little doughnuts filled w/caramel. We will be back...and bring people.
(5)Rosa Haruko A.
The food here is beyond perfect! All the favors and spices are combined so well and the presentation is well executed! I have been to their other location in north Miami and decided to try this new location and I was impressed! The decoration is chic and modern. The servers are attentive and incredibly friendly and quick to recommend good dishes. The prices are so low for the quality of food you're getting! This is a MUST try place! I highly recommend the grilled octopus and cholos tiradito! But if you don't get it that's fine too because everything on the menu is so delicious!
(5)Paul K.
I would actually rate 3.5 stars, 4 for the food , 3 for the service. It took us a while before we were greeted by our waiter and I actually had to ask twice to have my water filled. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I had the ceviche sampler which was pretty good. The lomo Saltado was very good. My daughter had the salmon with pesto risotto which was excellent. Other daughter had pappardelle shrimp- pretty good but a little too buttery in taste. I like using my Amex card and was disappointed when they said it wasn't accepted. Also disappointing was getting a 15 percent tip added to the bill, something I always exceed as I did this evening despite the lapse in service. I would still go back for the good Peruvian food.
(4)Mark L.
Our waiter was Afonso... The food was on par as always! It's always fresh and delicious. What made me write a review this night was the hospitality. Alfonso's knowledge of the menu and on point service was fantastic! Additionally, his energy was refreshing! Make sure he is your server next visit you won't be disappointed!
(5)Mani M.
As you walk in to Cholos, first thing that gets your attention is how simple and chic this place looks. Then you are greeted with the wonderful staff that will make up for all the "Miami Service" which you've had in the past. Those who know about the infamous "Miami Service" know that it is a negative connotation. And then, you will order your food and receive the cancha (toasted corn), which I think should come with a "highly addictive" label on them. And then, as you sip on the drink of your choice, you will get the food that you have ordered and it will made your taste buds feel like the happiest taste buds to ever have existed on the planet earth! If you already haven't got the idea, this place is fantastic. The service is great, and as a part of a exceptional dining experience, service will sometimes make or break the deal, no matter how good the food is. The waiter was outstanding. His recommendations as to change a few items from our order to compliment the rest of the food was spot on. He was simply just really good at what he does. The food; we started off with Pulpo a la Parrilla, which is the grilled octopus. It is superbly tender and spices they used were just great compliment to the taste of the octopus. Moved onto the Ceviche Mixto and Pescado a lo Macho. I hope you have an appetite because the dishes are medium to large portioned. We shared our plates to be able to taste more than one dish, which is a great idea. If you are a couple and want to share such a great taste in your life, Cholos is the place to do it.
(5)Lauren F.
This place is soo good, I've considered relocating to Miami Beach just to be near it. But on to the food. For starters, order the ceviche classico. It's so good and so fresh. If they're out of that, try another raw fish dish. The lomo saltado was really good, but the pescado a lo macho was fantastic. The serving sizes are pretty large, so don't order too much unless you want to save some for later.
(5)Jasmi A.
I didnt even get a chance to taste anything , i placed an order online, an hr later call to chk on food n they said they were out of something n couldnt make the second item i had placed. I had to cancel, could not wait any longer since i was on my way to wk.
(1)Rosario Paulina M.
Food=Perfectly Delicious, Place= Location 71st & Collins..A Plus!! We live nearby ;) , Price= Ridiculous Affordable for the Quality!!, Service=8+ which is high for the beach ;) A must try!!!!
(5)Josh S.
Delicious. If you are looking for a nice lite snack or full meal. Give this place a try. My wife and I had the ceviche trio. 3 different styles. Very good. Kind of spicy but they can add/subtract heat to your tastes. The fish was absolutely wonderful. One of them was a mixture of seafoods; calamari, octopus, shrimp.
(4)Rosario T.
One of the best Ceviches that I had in Miami. The wait was a little long but teh service was great. Need to go back
(5)Eduardo H.
Based on other reviews, my experience was probably unusual but yet very poor. We ordered two appetizers and one entree. The appetizers were OK -- nothing to write home about. But we finished our appetizers and our one shared entree would not arrive after 20 minutes. We had to ask twice and eventually just asked the waitress to cancel the order. She attempted to explain this was due to the fact we had ordered appetizers (yes, really). When I asked her again to cancel it, she simply shrugged her shoulders and waved her hands dismissing my complaint. She then sent the check to us with another waiter, including the dish we had asked to cancel. At this point I asked to see the manager, asked to have the dish removed and to reverse a 15% tip she had included. To my surprise, SHE was surprised. Note to waitress: tips are earned not granted. And as far as I remember I had never asked for an included tip to be reversed. As we were leaving. two tables away, the patrons were also asking to cancel their order after waiting a long while. I would give this restaurant a second chance if it were only for the delay sending the dishes out. However, the rudeness and attitude of this waitress is one think I do not put up with.
(1)Renee H.
We love this restaurant. My husband and I eat here all the time, but our favorite thing about the restaurant is their delivery service. Extremely fast...faster than pizza. The food is always still hot and fresh when it gets to us. We have eaten here at least 20 times and never once had a bad dish. It really is one of the best restaurants on north beach. Very good pricing. Service exceptional. Great chef.
(5)Tania F.
I recently moved from New Jersey from a town heavy populated by South Americans. Being half Cuban/Peruvian I was looking for a place to satisfy my Peruvian food fix. Let start by saying I have been here almost 15 times in three months and the food is awesome. It's not typical Peruvian but has a fusion twist. I've ordered the Tallarin Verde which comes with a huge piece of steak and the sauce has the right consistency (very important), the Jalea was a huge portion and very tasty and always order the Pollo a la brasa for my son ( he loves it). I recommend you have to try it out. Ambiance is very modern, beachy and last time I went, they were playing Bob Marley, my kind of place!
(5)Michael B.
We thought the server was very nice, despite losing some words here and there with a little language barrier. His recommendations were spot on, especially the mahi-cucho, which was outstanding. The sauce on the fish was so spectacular that we were almost licking the plate. We definitely would go back if we're in the area again. Our first foray into Peruvian cuisine was excepcional!

The food is great. The lomo saltado and the ceviche mixto is the reason I do there. This is the place I take friends and family from out of town to try Peruvian food. The service is on point. I am however very disappointed that they don't serve pisco sours and when I asked why the server gave me some BS story about it being about the food. Just tell me you don't have a liquor license yet, specially when they serve wine and beer. Nonetheless the food is great! Not cheap but great.

tonight was our first time to this restaurant. the outside was dirty not very inviting but when we looked inside it seemed nice so we gave it a try. I am happy we did, the food was great. my friend had the lomo saltado and I had the basic smoked chicken. both were very good. portion sizes and presentation were on point. the service lacked stamina. the two servers on duty were hiding behind the registrar playing with the music and on phones instead of attending us. speaking of the music I was thrown off when reggae music was the majority of the music player at this "Peruvian"restaurant. I suppose it is not just the servers fault for slacking as the manager was standing behind a small bar type area on his phone and playing around with a girl employee. when it comes down to it, if it weren't for good food I wouldn't return to this place. thank goodness I think with food on mind not just service.

Came here on a Saturday night around 10pm. Very nice decor and friendly staff. Food was average ( lomo Saltado was to salty for my taste ) but the other fish dishes were on point and both were very large portion size. The chicha was on point. Not the best ceviche I ever had but I definitely wouldn't be upset to eat the ceviche here again.

I come here often and order more frequently now that I found out they deliver. I have tried almost everything on their menu and have not been disappointed. I expecially love bringing my American friends who come to visit. A great lunch before the beach. They updated their seats outside. Very comfortable! However they have yet to replace the wobbly tables. Always remember tips are include

We both had a chevice.... Just awesome! Service was great as well. I really do not understand the negative reviews about the waiter with the ponytail. He is very enthusiastic and proud of their restaurant and products! By the way... We were stuffed after the chevice :) next time we will only take a main course

I came here for my first time and did not enjoy my experience the waiter(a guy with light eyes and long pony tail) was extremely rude from the moment we sat down nasty attitude not friendly food was great but customer service the worst I've received ever! Definitely will tell the people who recommended me and my friends not to come here!

Had excellent food and service at Cholo's... I have tried Peruvian food elsewhere but this restaurant serves over the top quality, freshness and taste! I highly recommend Mahi Mahi Cucho and Tiradito Cholos.. The chocolate torta was just a sweet finish to this perfect dinner.

My wife and I just left the restaurant. The food was fabulous and the service superb. I highly recommend the restaurant

Was in the area and popped in for some Peruvian food. The passion fruit juice was delicious, made perfectly. The Lomo Saltado beef and sauce delicious, the French fries still needed more frying. I suggest you come here for the ceviche. The mixto ceviche was so good. I would have ordered that instead of the Lomo Saltado if I knew it was going to be that good. Also, the passion fruit dessert....WOW! Why am I giving this place only 3 stars? Because the service was soooo slow. Food came out quick, the rest took forever!

Cholos has Really good Peruvian food maybe the best Peruvian restaurant in Dade, BUT the service can be Spoty., depending on the waiter and / or manager and Their Attitude changes daily. the parking is free after 6, and easy to come by. their, cerviche, chaufa, chupe, etc are very authentic. the rotisserie chicken is very good, and everything is reasonable, but the prices are creeping up. the portions are generous,. But they need more of a variety of aji. the restaurant is modern inside, they have a few tables outside and they play really cool musica!!!!

Once again amazing!.. Had the tacu tacu lomo .. And it was rich with flavor...might be a little salty but perhaps was the amazing spices used in the lomo... My companies had a chorillana fish and a chaufa de pollo (chicken).. Both delicious I hear... We ll keep coming back for sure ... Honestly the food - price comparison is just right... Hopefully they keep the same service and price..

Excellent food, friendly service. I'm really into peruvian food and this was really great. We tried Pescado a lo Macho - outstanding, Beef Hearts - yumm, ceviche was awesome, grilled octopus - soft and juicy. There were other dishes too, but those are the ones I remembered most.

Went last night. Had to wait 25 minutes for waiter to order drinks. Service was extremely slow and as we sat a few tables got up and walked out. The food was good but our waiter had no suggestions. Fortunately I read the reviews and noticed the ceviche and beef solito(sp.?) had good reviews so I ordered those. Also the Sangria was good. Others were not happy with theirs. I suggest if you don't speak fluent Spanish, know what you want before you go. And don't go hungry!

What an amazing place with a great food quality. This place serves one of the best grilled octopuses I ever tried. We went there with my wife and daughter and had a great time. We sat outside and ordered 2 appetizers( grilled octopus and ceviche ) and 2 main dishes ( paella and tenderloin steak ). Everything was perfect and tender.

Best Peruvian food in Miami Beach, always tasty, delivery on time, the ceviche and lomo saltado are our favorites 100% recommendable

5 star all the way. ceviche, sea scallops, chicken, chaufa- all great. Very authentic Peruvian, no sushi rolls like some other fusion Peruvian place. No Pisco sour! Come on now. Get a liquor license!

Simply amazing! The food was perfectly cooked. I order the tuco tuco lomo and we had the cevice marrisco. Highly recommended! The grilled octopus is perfect also!

Problems during my last 3 visits here. Wrong plate and very long waits. Management needs to upgrade the waiters URGENTLY! Place going down unless changes are made.

This place is great. I didn't know what to order because I'd never had Peruvian food. The waitress was very knowledgeable and made very good recommendations. The grilled octopus was delicious. The chef sent us a little amuse Bouche and came to check on us. Very impressed by the quality of the food, service and the decor, all at a reasonable price. I will definitely go back.

Great peruvian food and prices. We had a very well prepared jalea de mariscos and a superb ceviche. Service was spoty. Food was excellent. Prices were super reasonable: welcome Cholos to the Miami Beach food scene

I love Peruvian food. I like to try new places too. Last night I tried to go to this place and had a very bad experience I can't say anything about the food but definitely I can talk about the service. We got there and 20 mins after we got the menus the place started to get busy and they had only one server on a friday night of course the guy didn't know what to do where to go first every one started to rise hands asking for service it was ridiculous. But the worse thing was that there was a guy standing behind the bar I don't know if he was the manager or owner he didn't have a uniform that's why I assume he wasn't the bartender. He was just standing there doing absolutely nothing that was what made us leave the place and of course cause we knew we were going to have a disaster dinner. if you have to wait 20 mins to get menus and 30 for a glass of water you know it's not going to be good. This is a place that I'll never give a second chance.

Very good Peruvian food. Have dined here twice and both times the service and the dishes were great. We ordered the Tallarin Huancaina con Lomo, the Chaufa de Pollo, the Pulpo a la Parrilla, Papa Huancaina and the Tallarin Saltado Mariscos. Loved the fusion of Asian and Peruvian. All dishes had a delicious blend of spices and sauces. The chef was very friendly and came over to our table to see how everything was. The service was also very good. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

good food, but portions aren't what i'm used to.. ceviche is light as it is. so it isn't really filling, in California ceviche is usually piled extremely high and almost too much but usually don't leave hungry.. I would've ordered another portion is we weren't rushing to a club
