Great waterside bar

Great gumbo. Good service. The owner was very interested in our experience.

Good service. But had a Josephine's burrito Cold left over hamburger in a burrito shell the food was served cold as well .would not recommend for food !!! drinks only . And one other note would it kill restaurants to server filtered ice water .

Great food fantastic service from Tyler! Amazing outdoor deck. Crab legs were delicious. the jalapeno poppers and fresh battered onion rings were great. What a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine while sipping cocktails
(5)Brandon K.
We recommend the mega natchos. Definite bar scene but good food and even better service with a great location. Tyler was our server. He was super friendly and helpful.
(4)Deb C.
Excellent lunch! Best ahi tuna ever! Have always wanted to try this place and glad we did! We tried the calamari, mahi blackened bites, clam chowder, Cesar salad etc, everything was excellent!
(5)Rob L.
Good food, good drinks, good service and great views. The wings are really good here and they always have great live music. Its amazing with all the water around here there are very few places that are actually on the water. This place is ON the water.
(4)Felicia K.
We ate on the outside patio area very nice and relaxing! Service was excellent! Food was good! Fish tacos, shrimp&pasta, hamburger, fried shrimp& onion rings!
(4)Benjamin S.
Good food, great service. It has that beach bar vibe that everybody on vacation craves.

Found a new favorite hang out. Great food, friendly staff and awesome views of the ticer

If you like watching fat Indian Johnny cash impersonators puke in the water...this is the place for you!

Cute little waterfront bar and restaurant, seems like a locals place for sure. Visited on the night they have karaoke and sat at the bar for drinks and dinner. Cheap drink prices. I had the fish and chips, they weren't bad but one of the pieces was a little "mushy". If I had known the fries were steak fries I would have ordered another side. Boyfriend had the fried grouper sandwich (huge piece of fish) and enjoyed it. Might come back if in the area.

This place is a mixed bag. I'd give it 4 stars for location and the water view, but the food is about 2 stars. I've had the mahi wraps and tacos, and both are lackluster. Also, I don't appreciate "upgrading" to mahi for the tacos. The standard fish in the tacos is Basa (Asian catfish), which might be OK in the midwest, but it's definitely not cool in Florida where better alternatives exist. The food always leaves something to be desired, and the prices are rather steep relative to the quality of the food. The draft beer is not always as cold as it should be either. On the positive side, there's plenty of seating outside and they have corn hole. You can pull up here by boat which is cool, but if the wind is out of the east your boat is likely to take a beating as most of the dockage is on the windward side. This place is a lot better than it used to be, but it still has some room for improvement. Lastly, it's all outdoor seating so there's lots of smoking going on. If you don't enjoy inhaling someone's elses cigarette fumes with your meal, I'd consider avoiding this place for dinner.

Great views and bands play here. I have heard Rough Edges play here several times and they are amazing. Food and service is hit or miss, still a great place to hang out with friends.
(3)Jeff F.
This place has a local feel. The food was good but what made this place stand out was the people, music and the atmosphere. The whole package is why I'll definitely be back

Just don't do it! Great view, great music and horrible food. We ordered based on our servers recommendations. Man oh man were we ever disappointed. Whoever gave this place a good food review must have spent too much time in the sun. I must go purge now.

Good food and great service daytime...nighttime..good luck!! Scott and Adam are the worst bartenders/waitaff. Scott never smiles and Adam walks around like he's a warden! Rude rude rude men! Too bad because they have some great bands...just can't stand the rudeness anymore...too many other places to go to with fun waitstaff!!!
(2)Jason C.
Awesome food. Excellent service. Great waterfront location. Enjoyed the Philly and the wife had clam chowder soup along with grilled cheese with tomato and bacon...would recommend all. Will return during my next visit.

Came here on a Tuesday during lunch time 1130a - 1p. Didnt have a problem with the server, he was very attentive and took our orders right away. The food was great. Everyone in our party enjoyed everything. I had the Island Burger and the burger had great flavor. I'm not sure if the burger was angus or just regular ground chuck 80/20. The sweet potato fries were very good as well. They were not hard, but soft crisp on the outside and soft when you bite into them. I wasnt aware of any sauce or relish for the sweet potato fries.

Fun place and great atmosphere. I really enjoy the variety of bands and the waterfront view. It's becoming the go-to place in Merritt Island with growing crowds each weekend. The only issue is the lack of bathrooms. The staff is super friendly and professional. Good times!
(5)Erin M.
I had the coconut shrimp, someone else had the seafood platter, and the favorite of the table by far was the seafood au gratin! Karaoke on Tuesday nights. Good experience overall.

We were driving around looking for a restaurant to eat where my wife and I could have a nice time, and the kids would be happy too. We stumbled across this place, because of the yelp reviews, and couldn't be happier. The prices were great, the view was extraordinary, and even the kids were good! I personally had the surf and turf, a little filet mignon, and five breaded shrimp. It was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be coming back here again!

The Island Waterfront Bar & Grill is unsurprisingly right on the water. It's a great place to hang out in beautiful weather. I spent the late evening enjoying the sunset and trying the cheviche, which is like a spicy seafood salsa. ( It's fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices.) The food is great too. I would highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich and the fish tacos. The pulled pork was succulent and well prepared, while the fish tacos had a mild citrus taste which complimented the smooth flavor of grilled mahi mahi. The beer selection is pretty good, as are the cocktails and there is a corn hole set-up, and a nice view. Great place to hang out.

This is my second time here. I got the same thing both times-Caribbean blackened grouper dinner. Fabulous! My bf got the grouper lunch sandwich with tater tots and loved it. It's right on the water with classic rock playing. Seems like a local fave. Happy hour 4-7 daily and food specials during the week. I'll be back for sure!
(5)Elena A.
I really love this place because the view, ambience and the food has always been delicious. I am more health conscious than in previous visits and this time had the tropical maji grilled with veggies. Other people in my group had the steak Ettouffe and coconut shrimp. My fish was really salty but everything else was fabulous. I wish my healthier choice would have been as well prepared as the other items, but I will surely go again.
(4)Rhonda W.
The location is cool with island theme, and service was great. However, Coconut Shrimp, sweet potato fries, and grilled veggies were out of a frozen food bag. I can get all that stuff at WalMart. Margarita tasted of whiskey, not tequila. I've had better food here, so just wondering if management changed.
(2)Jill M.
Great spot. Don't let looks distract you from coming in. Food was fresh beers where cold. View is spectacular. Our waitress was great, not sure her name. Dark hair with a hat very pretty. Will me back when we are down from ny
(5)Jane H.
We were here at 9:30 pm on a Sunday night, bar is open until 2am on Sunday. Bartender waiting on us was awesome.
(4)Kelly N.
Fun place- can play corn hole, go out on boat dock. Excellent breeze on deck. Everyone pleased with their food.
(2)Joe P.
My kids wanted no part of this place... One grilled cheese, chili dog and chicken finger later and they were happy as clams!! Food was really good and we all left happy!
(4)Chris S.
I set there for 10 minutes with four wait staff members walking by me and nobody so much is made eye contact much less waiting on me. Try Molly's up the street if you want quick service and a good meal.
(1)Wendy S.
Such a fun place. Awesome location. Friendly staff, good food. Definitely seemed like a locals joint. Karaoke was hilarious.
(4)Mike R.
Nice lunch specials. Great place to hang out on the deck and enjoy the cool breeze and river view. Service is very prompt and friendly. Easy place to become a regular!
(4)Jeni K.
Great food at good prices. Eclectic group of patrons from babies to seniors. Several good choices of beer on tap. Live music. We had the calamari and crab croquettes for appetizers. Both delicious although the croquettes weren't the prettiest. Hubby had étouffée steak and shrimp. Wonderfully spicy. I had the seafood sampler with just fried shrimp and scallops to share with my daughter. We couldn't finish it all. Good eats!
(5)Tila D.
Great service and server. Charmaine was great, quick & attentive. Food was Delish! Had the shrimp & cocktail then crab cake dinner. Good food with a great river view and a couple of guys playing great outdoors music.
(4)Denise W.
On Saturday evening around 8;15 pm we walked out on the deck to find that we seat ourselves. It did take some time to be acknowledged (I had to ask for a menu). However, from that point on, I had no complaints. We were not in a hurry but the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was delicious! Our server, Tyler was spot on! We stayed and enjoyed the live music & our company until closing.

The new Owners have brought this great spot to life!!!! The beautiful waterfront location makes it difficult to leave. They have free daytime boat dockage. If you come car it's super easy to get in and out of due to their large parking lot, located right on the causeway. The creme de la creme is Bomb Fire pit out by the tiki bar and game area!!!! The staff is on top of it making sure you're not left thristy or hungry. You will laugh and be entertained!
(5)Jeff A.
I love this little place for its local flair. Great local bands and the view is spectacular especially watching the moon rising.
(5)Dennis E.
Last year this place was a dump. Which was a shame because the location is great. I always see dolphins playing from our table. New owners have turned this place around and the food is awesome! Great staff! I overheard the next table asking for decaf coffee and they didn't have any. The waitress offered to run next door to 7-11 and get a decaf coffee for him.
(5)Dana K.
The food was pretty good. It took a little while for us to get our food, but we went at lunch time on a Saturday, so they were really busy. Overall, a good place.
(3)Yaran D.
Horrible service, better yet, nonexistant. Much better places in the area. Came in, was not acknowledged so after 20 mins, i went up to the bar to see who we had to flag to get someones attention. They said they would get someone. 5-10 mins passed.... Nothing! I am a VERY patient person but Needless to say even 30 mins without so much as a menu or a drop of water offered, it was time to leave. They did have a guy playing the guitar and violin that was good which is why i gave it one star. Didnt try the food nor even looked at the menu so one star it is.
(1)Jessica R.
From a locals perspective, this place was pretty chill. Nice ambiance. People on vacation may not like the constant traffic off to the side, as it is off a main road. But if your facing the peaceful river, you hardly notice reality behind you. The inside seating does not look tempting at all, but the cute, tropical themes bar on the deck more than compensates. Food and drink prices fare, service was friendly, and food came out quick. While I may not make this one of my local watering pubs, I would definatly recommend this spot to friends and strangers an will probably stop in if I'm in the area again!
(4)John B.
All our food was very good grouper excellent coconut stomp very good server very nice only complaint smoking on covered deck
(4)Nona N.
Slower then whatever. Been siting here over an hour still no food. About to walk out!!!
(1)Jeff W.
I was LESS than impressed. It was lunch on a Friday and they were busy, I understand that, but it took 10 minutes for the server to even get around to our drink order and another 15 to get the drinks. The food arrived over 30 minutes after we ordered it (server said the kitchen botched the order) and was lukewarm. All told we were there well over an hour and the food was just not worth it. For outdoor on-the-water dining Grillz at the port is five times better, and we could have driven from The Island to there, had lunch, and come back before we got out of there.
(2)John H.
The new owners do not have a clue. We waited over three hours for our food before we finally had to leave. They gave us a free drink as compensation and had the nerve to say there would be no charge for the food we never received. Great view and based on our experience you will have plenty of time to enjoy the nice view.
(1)Harry H.
I had the coconut shrimp, they were like the kind you get out of box (frozen). Service was very slow. The place has a nice deck overlooking the water.
