Yesterday we were honored to be invited for the preview of Bonefish's new menu items. The hospitality and food and wine were awesome. What a great and novel way to introduce new menu items . I would have to say everything we had was awesome but the Ahi Tuna Bowl stood out for us. Thank you Bonefish.

Quality of food good. Portions of entrees and sides very small for the price. not sure what is going on here....pasta, potatoes and veggies are relatively cheap. Service was erratic. Ambiance nice.....but very loud. Would not return.

Visiting from New York and this place is lovely. Our server was professionals and sweet. We had no wait time which was great! (We arrived half hour after opening, we were famished in the Florida heat) We order a start. A dumpling and a salad as well. So yummy. Great wine! I had the steak! Gosh so yummy and I love it well done. It was perfect, most places leaves it well done but charred. The key lime pie was great We had a wonderful experience and for what we orders the price was not bad at all. Highly recommend!

Food was ok. We sat outside and it was a nice view. Most of the food comes out in these bamboo steam trays which is cool. Food was a bit on the expensive side and was average at best. I got the shark skewers which apparently they ran out if shark. Instead it was some white fish and on the 2 skewers there probably only 4 small pieces of fish. For a dish that cost $17 i would expect more.

This place has gone down hill fast. When it first opened it was great. Now they're just another fast food chain who doesn't care about the quality of their food. Sangria was bland, chicken was cold, goat cheese was flavorless, even the "go to" bang bang shrimp wasn't as good as it used to be. We used to have to wait for an hour on Saturday nights and now it's not even half full. I guess that says everything you need to know about this place. We've eaten here dozens of times and I think we're ready to give up. Too many other great options around to keep going here and be continuously disappointed.

I went to a Bonefish Grill in Tampa about five years ago and it was fantastic. This was not my experience last night at the Merritt Island restaurant. The place is beautiful. The service is very attentive. The bread is great. And that's all the positives I can come up with. I had the calamari appetizer which was fried, salty and obviously frozen. I had the lobster thermidor for dinner. The lobster had the texture of a rubber band. The garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm. My boyfriend had the tilapia imperial which was just okay. His favorite thing on the plate was the broccoli. Pretty sad when you pay over $100 for a meal and the best part is the bread and the broccoli. We didn't send anything back, we just ate it and decided we will never return. We will stick with Bonefish Willy's who knows how to do seafood. This place is a tourist/snowbird trap. Don't let the fancy interior fool you.

Over Priced and Over Rated Since we are locals, we are serious seafood fans and wanted to see this place as a big success. After returning from dining there Friday night, I read some of the other reviews that were posted and I concur with many of their findings. The main dining room was indeed really noisy and we were happy to be seated in the "private dining room" in the wing area. The service throughout was very courteous although it was quite a bit slow. Also like other reviewers, we saw the bread and olive oil dip on other tables but finally had to ask for ours. The bread by the way, was great. We did not order the highly touted bang bang shrimp, instead I opted for the corn and lobster chowder. It too was good however, the bowl was deceptively shallow and the serving size was really small and not very hot. Probably about less than 2/3 cup worth! Ouch. The menu is very abbreviated with not a lot of choice combinations. There is seasonal vege that is (conveniently for them) served with everything and then you have one other choice from a small list of about 8 items. Also, a salad is extra. (I would have thought a dish that cost over 20 bucks should at least include a side salad.) I had the Caesar salad and it had zero seasoning!! No salt, no pepper, no garlic...what a let down. I then had the Longfin Talapia Imperial and the wife had the Haddock special of the day. Both dishes were tasty and seasoned correctly. However, again, there was not very much of it. Small portion sizes DO NOT impress me! The garlic mashed potatoes were just nasty and the small blob of chickpea goo was equally awful. This place with it's programed portion controlled dishes and the abbreviated menu is the model of high volume, production line, apathy based on making money instead of happy customers. If you are a serious foodies in search of culinary nirvana then go somewhere else. In summary this dining experience was "ok" but I would not go back because there are better seafood places for cheaper like Molly's or Shells. At $85 Bucks with tip for a dinner without appetizers, I would not expect to go home hungry! Go somewhere else.

I'm an food snob and love giving a vicious reviews to crappy overrated places so I'm honestly shocked by the negative reviews on this place. I love this place! They are friendly, clean, and efficient! I've never had a bad meal, they are consistently wonderful! Food is creative and delicious, drinks are made perfect, service is top notch! Highly recommend and trust me, I've tried everywhere on this little island.

Since I was on someone else expense report I decided to explore some of the local chain restaurants on my business trip. I was hungry for seafood and saw this place on the Merritt Island Causeway near the Merritt Island Square Mall. When I arrived they asked if I wanted to eat in the Bar area, and I declined as they were not very busy on a Monday night. I asked for a booth and they seated me as far back as you can get. Jennifer H. was my server and each person greeted me by asking if I had been there before, which was no. Bonefish Grill is owned by Bloomin' Brands headquartered in Tampa FL. Their menu focuses largely on wood-grilled fish. Jennifer told me the specials change every couple of months so there is always something new to try. They have a fully stocked bar in the front, and there are many different drinks and those specials also change every couple of months. Jennifer told me about their signature Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, which consists of shrimp in a creamy spicy sauce. She also told me they are also affiliated with the Ocean Trust, an ocean conservation foundation building science, conservation, and industry partnership for the sustainability of the oceans, as well as providing a link to sustainable fisheries, wildlife and the environment. It sort of reminded me of an upscale Fish Market. I ordered the fancy salad and a small Sea Bass with green bean side dish, and for dessert the coconut pie. Unfortunately Jennifer was so engaged with me she forgot my side of green beans, but terribly embarrassed at such a foux pas she dispatched right away to fix her oversight. For a very nice salad, a small but perfectly grilled piece of fish, and dessert came to $37.50 and I have Jennifer a nice tip too. They do not have an open kitchen, but I was impressed from what I could see from my booth they do use food handling gloves in preparation of the food. I would recommend and return if I am ever back here.

I've been to several Bonefish Grills in the last 6 months and I will say this one doesn't disappoint. The restaurant is located next to Merritt Mall so there is plenty of parking I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was seated it was late afternoon so I was a little ahead of the Saturday night crowd. Started out with the Bang Bang Shrimp I must admit this was the low point if there is one the shrimp didn't seem as crisp as I've had in the past so I think I will move on to something else my next trip. I have always wanted to try the Corn Chowder with Lump Crab it was desiccant loved it. I had the small portion of the Chilean Sea Bass I seem to order this often when coming to Bonefish. As in the past it was excellent I had a side of mixed veggies didn't really do much for me but I tried. I decided to give the Maryland Lump Crab Cakes a try with a side of asparagus the crab cakes were filled succulent lump crab with very little binder I absolutely loved them now to address what you must be thinking yes it's very rich food but I ordered the small plates and it was plenty no way could I eat all of it but I really wanted to try a few dishes. My server was Leslie and she did an outstanding job It appeared all the servers were very attentive I would come to this location again without hesitation.

I don't usually do national-chains, but on a recent visit, the GF and I wanted dinner later than the "local places" were serving. I had never been to Bonefish, so we decided to try it. I was very pleasantly surprised-- it was good quality and a decent value. We had several cocktails, all good, balanced, and a few dollars cheaper than they would usually be back home. One drink I had is a specialty here, they serve a cosmo-style cocktail in a glass made entirely of ice. A novel presentation! My "Kobe" burger was served exactly as ordered (medium-rare, which most chains always overcook). Very good. Fries were decent too. Maybe it was just this locale, but prices seemed reasonable for sit-down dinner. Top-shelf cocktails were $2-4 cheaper than they are in cities back in my area.

First time at a Bonefish Grill. Not at all what I had expected. The 11:00 am opening was lunch time for me and the lunch menu was very one page. Half drinks and half lunches. I wasn't impressed by the menu. I ordered the steak and although small for the $$ it was good. The French fries were Okay as well. I'll have to have a better reason to return than the food. Ya win some, ya loose some.

Excellent quality and service. Bonefish Grill compares favorably with restaurants in New York City. The kids adored the sea bass, scallops and homemade strawberry shortcake.
Maybe I bought a bad meal or something, not sure. Reading all these 4 and 5 star reviews makes me believe maybe I visited it on an "off" day. I spent over $45 for two people's lunch and honestly, we were still hungry when we left the facility. The food was just "ok" and definitely not great. Considering the high cost and the poor quality food I was served, I won't be back.

went last Monday night for my aunt & uncles anniversary dinner...(while I was in town)...and I give 5 stars to our server Alicia ...!!!! ALICIA was the best server i've ever had in Brevard county she was well trained, friendly and very professional...( including dealing w/ my crazy family...) I had the orange roughy crusted w/ crab ..I was satisfied...but price a bit hi for roughy.. SO IF YOUR IN THE AWFUL PLACE KNOWN AS BREVARD COUNTY? just go in and ask for ALICIA. ALICIA,ALICHA...

We came with a large party on a busy Saturday night for a birthday gathering so take that in mind when you read the review. Since I was new to the Bonefish chain I went straight to the top and ordered the Chilean Sea Bass (small size) - a house specialty. My gal ordered the Rainbow trout and my son ordered the Kobe burger. We started the meal off with an appetizer for the table - Bang bang shrimp. The meal starts off with an order of bread served with a sauce dish of olive oil and herbs. This was good enough that I was sorry I'd ordered the shrimp as we all gobbled the bread down! The shrimp? Delicious! A little messy and hard to see on the dish in the "romantically lit" dining room. If you order it, you'll see what I mean. When you've finished poking the bang-banged lettuce for the now non-existent shrimp, try the lettuce with the bang-bang sauce and you'll find the appetizer actually has 2 levels of awesomeness! The Sea Bass was delicious and the wood-fired hints to the grilling gave it just the right taste and aroma that I used the sauces sparingly. One thing to note here is that the staff can bring you a small portion of all 4 sauces so you can try each for yourself. The Sea Bass was thick, flaky and cooked to perfection. The Kobe burger was ok and my 10-yr old said he liked Steak & Shake better. Depends on what you're looking for I guess. I wasn't impressed for the price when I tried it but it wasn't bad, it was just another restaurant burger to me. Good to know for picky eaters: the sides for the burger don't mention fries (chips or potatoes, I think?) but they do offer them as a side if you ask. The Rainbow Trout was very tasty as well. I only had a bite but I would order it again based off of that small sample. All in all, the food was very good but there were a few things that were off during our visit. We had about 15-20 people and we were there for 3 hrs but, like I said, it was a busy night. Some items were not brought out correctly the first time but, like I said, we had a large party on a busy night. My major complaint was that the side room we were in is on the other side of the bar and the path between the main dining room (and bathroom) and this side room is right where the kitchen dispenses hurried waiters. It was a madhouse. There was an NFL playoff game on and it was like playing dodgeball getting through there each time. Nothing to do about it since the building used to be an Uno's and it was already that way when Bonefish moved in but it's what you should prepare yourself for if you come in with a group since this is exactly where they'll put you!
First time diner with my wife and good friends. Overall, I would give it four-stars on just the ambiance alone, but was disappointed with their entree offerings. The service is good, wait staff is friendly, even the door staff as well. Appetizers were good, drinks good - it's just that there crab cake entrees were strangely *small*. For the price, even at lunch, I expected just a bit more. Again, otherwise, it's a good place and I'll go back again. I'll just make sure to stick with the sandwiches.

First time at a bonefish grill. Food was moderately priced but good overall experience. Service was really good and accommodating even though I was solo. The bang bang shrimp was my favorite part and I typically don't like fried shrimp. Fried just enough to make it crisp. I have eaten a a couple other seafood places in the area but would actually come back here even though it is a chain. Atmosphere is pleasant not too loud and not too dull. Give it a try would be my suggestion.
The Bonefish Grill - I have yet to be disappointed at ANY Bonefish Grill I've dined at. And chilled Red Wine is the only way to fly.....

I came with the boyfriend and we were very satisfied with our meal. We made a reservation online, which I highly recommend for weekend dining. The online system was very fast and easy. We dodged the dinner rush by reserving for 6, which is perfect because we got to take advantage of the last half hour of the happy hour. The food was delicious! We loved what we ordered. My boyfriend had the corn chowder and the kobe beef burger, both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also had a few bites of my strawberry salad and loved it as well. I also ordered the soft shell crab meal, which I absolutely loved! It paired well with my strawberry salad, because I like to mix creamy dishes with tarty ones. The cream dulls the taste buds so I like to zing them back up with something tart. As for the service, it was outstanding. I loved that every staff member asked us if we've been there before and then took the time to explain things to us. The waitress was very helpful and attentive, and our food came out in just 10 minutes, which was perfect because we had a movie to catch. I absolutely will come back again the next time I'm in town!

Short: 1. Good food 2. Disorganized service 3. Read the long review for more This review is delinquent- this experience happened in LATE November, and I guess I never actually published the review....so please read below and keep in mind things MAY have improved over the last 3 months....god I HOPE so...because I WOULD return for the food (but because of the service, I would NOT) I understand this is a new location for this decent chain establishment- however; they consider a party of ten a "large" group. Lets start with the beginning- A male server came out to take the drink orders. He knew NOTHING about the beers they keep on tap and actually argued with me that Angry Bastard Ale is not a product of Stone Brewing Company (I work with them ALL the time and know it is...since they gifted me a few six packs of it after the last association event I threw that they sponsored). MY Husband ordered the Angry Bastard Ale thinking it was somwething new...and then was disappointed when he realized I was right (since we bet on it, I was NOT disappointed because...well...I won) I ordered a glass of white wine which thankfully came in a mini-carafe...I say Thankfully because the wine was quite on the warm side for a varietal intended to be served chilled so I stuck the whole mini carafe INTO my ice water. I explained to my server why my wine carafe was sitting in my glass of water, and THEY DID NOT OFFER TO GET ME ANOTHER GLASS OF WATER. Wow. Moving On-They assigned multiple servers to our table and they took our orders at the same time. Because they did not do this in an organized way, they forgot one persons order altogether. It took us several minutes to find a server to take the missing order, and that persons food came 15 minutes later than the rest of the table. At least she didn't eat alone though- because about 1/3 way through the meal, one of the servers spilled a diet coke all over my aunts meal so they had to bring her a new entree and she actually received it about the time the person who's meal came 15 minutes later was 1/2 through eating. What DID annoy me is that they simply stuck a few cloth napkins over the puddle...and in case you don't know this, cloth ABSORBS liquid (what?...sorry...pardon my sarcasm), so my aunts area was sticky and wet through the rest of our stay...lame. I have a ton of restaurant, catering, and hospitality experience, so even small issues with service are obvious to me...however in THIS case, I was not the only one who noticed the mistakes in service (when my husband says something, I know things really are as bad as they seem) I think this crew would benefit from a stronger training program. The mistakes they made were for the most part because of improper training (except for the spilled drink on the entree...that was just an unfortunate accident amongst a wealth of mistakes that were avoidable).
What a wonderful experience! The place was crowded and it took a while to be seated but we knew that was going to be the case. We had the bang bang shrimp and a cocktail at the bar before being seated. The shrimp was awesome! I had the crab cake dinner with jasmine rice. I have not had that much crab in a cake since I made them myself! and hubby had the salmon Gorgonzola ( which I don't see on the menu anymore) but it was cooked to perfection. In most of these upper end restaurants what I'm looking for is something that sets it apart...something that makes it worth the extra money that I spend. I had NO complaints and the portions were perfect....not over stuffed but well fed. I wish I could go back again and again.....but it is a bit pricy for an every week sort of thing.

It was very busy but we only waited about 10 minutes for a 5 top. Food was slow to arrive and not very hot but the flavors were balanced and the portions adequate but not too large. The server was helpful and knowledgeable. One weird thing, an employee appeared to be monitoring the dining room, which is fine but she chose to mostly stand in one spot (close to the center of the room between tables) instead if circulating unobtrusively. Worthy of another trip,

Not a very good experience! The best part of my meal was the bread and water. The Bang Bang Shrimp has more mayonnaise in it then a jar of miracle whip. And the Imperial Longfin was average at best. We've been to the Bonefish Grill on Sand Lake Road in Orlando many times and never experienced this.

Tilapia? Really? Come on--a brackish water fish for fish tacos, sandwiches and fish and chips when there's a friggin' ocean 2 miles away? Way to cheap out on quality. I'd gladly pay a buck more and get a better fish--ANY fish than tilapia.
Had a great dinner with my wife. Atmosphere is nice. Food was great. Fish Tacos are a B for me but I'm picky with my fish tacos so I'm not going to knock them over it.

This is a new location right in front of Merritt Square Mall and our first visit to this or any Bonefish Grill. It was very busy and we waited about 30 minutes before being seated but they had adequate seating outside to pass the time. They also came by with some samples of an appetizer and also asked if we wanted drinks while we waited. After making our way inside to a table they brought out some bread with a seasoned olive oil for dipping and it was delicious. I settled on the Mahi Mahi which came with two sides. The fish was plump and flaky and the wood grill gave it a fantastic flavor. I chose the au gratin potatoes and jasmine rice, both very tasty but a couple of the potatoes were a little undercooked. For dessert we shared the chocolate creme brûlée which was a decadent ending to a great meal.

I have a Bonefish Grill right near my home but had never gone in to it. Then, while helping some friends with a home in Merritt Island one weekend, we decided we all wanted fish and this Bonefish Grill had just opened up about a mile from were we were working. The place was busy since it was so new and the locals now had some place fun to eat. We were put on a list and decided to get a drink at the bar. There had to be about 5 people working behind the bar but nobody noticed the three of us standing there for almost 5 min. When we were finally acknowledged, she took our order and then was busy with other orders for a bit so we did not see our drinks for another good 5 min. I know it was busy but what bothered me was that of all the people working the bar, the others all seemed to ignore us. Not even a 'are you being helped' yet question. We were paged right after we got our drinks and was given a table in a back room. It was super noisy due to the fact there were a number of large groups back here with children and babies. With nothing but hard surfaces to echo off of, it was difficult to talk with my dinner guests. Our server came up and was nice but not that excited to be there. Not sure if he was just tired or did not like what we looked like. He seemed to be just going thru his routine. He took our order and did give recommendations when asked. Bread and olive oil for dipping came out. It was good. I had only ordered a entrée but my friends had salads. I got a stuffed Tailapia with asparagus on the side. The fish was good but not as flaky as I would have liked. The stuffing of shrimp and scallops was excellent as was the asparagus. Atmosphere 6 Service 6 Food 8 Its what I expected for a chain place... not the best but not the worst. I will give my local one a try one day to see if my experience would be better than going to one that just opened. Maybe some seasoned servers will make the difference. But if you do go, pre-pair for a wait, okay service and chain quality food.

Are there 1.26.13 with kids after paintballing all day. Had to wait 30 when arriving at 5:30. The brought out Bang Bang Shrimp while we waited. Waiter was excellent. Apps came out in reasonable time. Tuna was ok, too much stuff on the plate. Cesar salads took a while, they tasted like the letus wasn't washed or there was a tang in the dressing, which there wasn't enough of. Food took almost an hour and kids were ready to go, manager got it out ASAP and added a partial comp on the bill. Chocolate Creme Brûlée was wonderful. Espresso was very good top.

Went to bonefish last night. Food was very very good. Prices were too high. Could at least give you a salad with meal. That is the reason only four stars.

Just open give it a try. Great atmosphere. Wolffish Rockefeller was excellent. Great Bang Bang shrimp appetizer

Tilapia? Really? Come on--a brackish water fish for fish tacos, sandwiches and fish and chips when there's a friggin' ocean 2 miles away? Way to cheap out on quality. I'd gladly pay a buck more and get a better fish--ANY fish than tilapia.

This was my first experience at any Bonefish Grill and I must say I was pretty impressed. The ambiance and décor were very nice. They had a really cute patio area in the front that was very convienent for customers waiting on a table. The food did take awhile to come out, but when it did it was delicious! I am a very picky eater and I have say that everything today tasted wonderful. The server named Jennifer was amazing! Very charming and right on top of things...I will definitely be back!

Had a great dinner with my wife. Atmosphere is nice. Food was great. Fish Tacos are a B for me but I'm picky with my fish tacos so I'm not going to knock them over it.
