Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

No reviews for Betty's huh? Ok, I'll bite. Do you ever have those places that you avoid for some ridiculous reason? "I heard someone found a rat's head in their food there!" Yes, and I'm sure they just sent the food back and had a new plate made with no further consequences. Anyway, I partially avoided Betty's for a while because of a less exaggerated rumor such as this. Apparently someone found a fly in the parmesan cheese shaker. Sure, I guess it could happen, and I'm sure weirder things have happened at restaurants, but it's still ridiculous. So off to Betty's I went one day, expecting an epic battle of humans vs. flies. What I got was a pretty solid, pretty expensive pizza. Betty's has enormous pizza sizes and I think we ordered the second to largest one because we had 5 or 6 of us in our party. I can't remember what night of the week it was(Tuesday if I had to guess), but they also had trivia going. It was like a glorified version of Trivial Pursuit, meaning I'm 90% sure they use actual cards from Trivial Pursuit and a guy roams the dining area yelling out the question while customers write down the answers on whatever pencil/napkin combo they can find. Apparently my in-laws have won it once and got a gift certificate or something, but considering the clientele quality, the questions were surprisingly tough and answered with surprising accuracy. I didn't expect to leave here feeling as dumb as I did. Then again, I didn't expect to leave at all, what with all my notions of being mutated into Jeff Goldblum. With all of the pizza options in Gainesville, Betty's doesn't call for a special trip out to Melrose. However, it's definitely a solid choice if you know someone that lives in the area. I may return for trivia night and cheap crappy pitchers of beer.

This place is seriously gross. There is always a lot of grease and they put way too much tomato sauce on the pizza.

Pretty good food, great price. Nothing special about the food but it was delicious. Enjoyable atmosphere, we sat outside and watched the ACC tournament (go Noles!) Nice to sit around with some friends and family, have a few drinks, and relax!

I see they can delete reviews on here I've said this before stay away from this place the food is crap it's a glorified beer joint if you want good Italian food drop by Brooklyn boys in Keystone much better. I wouldn't give it a star but that's the only way you can post again this place is not good

See how I just done another pizza place review on yelp I figured I would do a short review of this place again even though I have already done a review on Betty's pizza on my food blog a little more then an year ago. So it's been a while since I ate there. But it was the GROSSEST place I have ever ate. My husband and I both gone spaghetti and meatballs and our appetizer was jalapeno poppers. NOTHING WAS MADE FRESH everything was pre-packaged. The spaghetti noodles were way overcooked and the meatballs were like the frozen meatballs you buy at a the grocery store. The jalapeno poppers were not deep-fried or oven baked they were pan fried and not done well at that it was so bad we pay our check left the food there I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE The service was the only good thing, our waiter was very energetic and very polite. Now I heard it's been under new management since the last time we had been but it was so bad the first time I can't bring myself to go again Only go If you like all the frozen crap and don't care then this is the place for you

Food was good for being in a small town, service was great and 2 waitresses were very friendly. Everyone got pizzas and they came out quickly. Had a group of 8 with us and everyone was pleased.

First time here, service was good! Food was excellent! Real Italian pizza! We got the Italian fries-they were tasty, and a pepperoni pizza-the cheese was amazing!

I went to a week long youth camp down the road at Lake Swan. I had the pleasure of eating here twice with a big group. First of all, they handled our group 10+ twice, with a smile. The first time we came in we ordered a variety of large pizzas at dinner. I ended up with a slice of each. (1 pepperoni, 1 cheese, 1 sausage). All these slices were great. We all got waters, but when I checked in on yelp, I got a free drink, score! Fwiw. Their sweet tea is great. The second time I ordered the lunch calzone and house salad. Both items were great and I felt like I got a lot of food for $8. I will be coming back next year.

I go to Betty's for lunch either on Wednesday, Thursday, or on a Friday when "Janice" is the waitress. She is a hoot and a trip all in one. If she doesn't put a smile on your face then you must be having a really bad day. When "Josh" is in the kitchen, I order the 10" Stromboli with "All The Works!" that includes Pepperoni, Sausage, Onions, Mushrooms, Black Olives, and Green Peppers. (Ask for your Stromboli on Betty's "Home Style" crust.)

Forget them can get a better frozen pizza! Update the place gloomy, dark, depressing! The service leaves a lot to be desired!

I have eaten here many times. Their pizza and calzone are wonderful. I do not recommend some other menu items, but if you stick with Calzone you will not be dissappointed, ever.
