Very different from what we're use to. The food was good, but extremely over priced.

Love fondue and the service and food here is very good. My biggest complaint and this goes for all the Melting Pot restaurants is that I never find the food here very fresh particularly with the Cheese Fondue and the salad. The veggies are always dry and not fresh. Even our broccoli was brown and the carrots looked all dried out. The bread was stale also. I think it is a little pricey for the quality and quantity. I keep giving it another chance as I adore fondue and I would go regularly if they would just take more care in the freshness and amount of cheese they serve with the cheese fondue. I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 3 in hopes they will read this and improve the freshness of their bread and veggies.

It was my first visit to Melting Pot, but won't be the last. Everything was great! Our server, Matty, took excellent care of us and the food was all fantastic. The experience was fun, and our group really enjoyed it. A bit pricey, yes, but certainly worth the level of service and attention to detail. The experience, service, and food were definitely worth the cost, and we will certainly return. Cheddar and Swiss fondues, filet, sirloin, chicken, shrimp, Flaming Turtle, and Yin and Yang were tried and enjoyed by all at our table. I can't wait to go back! Next time, I'll request one of the secluded side booths for two, very cozy and romantic!

About 3 o'clock on a drizzly afternoon, we stopped in on our way to see Jurassic World. I've been wanting to check out their Happy Hour, which sounds fun and affordable. Unfortunately, we were seated in the dining area where the happy hour specials don't apply. So, on one side of the place, people are having 1/2 price cheese fondue and almost 1/2 price martinis, and on the other side was us. Okay, from the sound of that noisy large table in the bar that had been there since opening, maybe it wasn't such a bad thing. To begin, service was fantastic. Our server was helpful with the menu, offering suggestions based on our tastes, and very personable. We settled on a martini, the spinach and artichoke heart cheese fondue, and a salad--agreeing that we'd be back another time for chocolate. Having been to The Melting Pot several times, but in Palm Beach County, and only for the full dining experience, we thought our choices would be perfectly adequate. I have to admit, though, I walked away a little disappointed and even a bit hungry. The martinis were delicious and the perfect choice, thanks to our server's recommendations. But, when it came to the cheese course, our eyes were wide with the choices of bread and chip, veggies, and green apples. Too bad it was completely disproportionate to the amount of cheese. Needless to say, there was plenty of bread left in the basket by the time the remaining cheese had bricked itself to the inside of the pot. It felt like dippers for two, cheese for one. The salads were similar in that they were very small portions--delicious, but tiny. We're both pretty light eaters at that time of the day, so we declined ordering from the Small Bites menu, which looked quite good. By the end of the salad, that Mediterranean flatbread sounded pretty good! I'll definitely be back--the food and drinks are undeniably delicious, but lesson learned. Either go for the entire 4-course experience for dinner and walk away completely satisfied, or go for Happy Hour where you can afford to let down your hair, have several drinks and order lots of cheesy goodness!

Martinis are consistently awesome. Always. The two Matts and Dave at the bar know how to do it right. Never watered down, never weak, always perfection. Go here for a drink that is worth $10+. Food is always great too.

I have been to this location a couple of times and have always enjoyed the food, staff, and atmosphere. I have always had an excellent server that is very polite and friendly when it comes to going over the menu, questions, and just overall visiting. The food is always nicely prepared and looks very appealing. My favorite is the beer cheese fondue that is served with the veggies and bread. The meat platter with fondue is probably my least favorite. I am a chips and dip/dessert kind of girl. When I eat the broth fondue I usually stick to the chicken and shrimp. My husband has always been pleased with the steak portions as well. I think they serve a nice sized portion of the selected meats with your broth order. I must say my favorite part is the snickers or peanut butter fondue. How can you not love strawberries, bananas, and rice crispy treats dipped in snickers!?! You also are served two brownie bites, two cheesecake bites, and four marshmallows dipped in graham crackers and oreos (two each). I have tried the Reece's Fondue once, but I always go back to my favorite..Snickers fondue! I have tried their Love Martini and the Yin Yang Martini....go with the Love Martini....it's delicious! It has the perfect blend of strawberry and martini. I love chocolate so I was very surprised that I didn't prefer the Yin Yang Martini. I have only been on weekends and there is usually a wait, but it is nice that they take reservations ahead of time. I highly recommend it for a date night. I have heard weekdays are much better. You can also recommend their birthday special which is balloons and a small candy bar of their fondue chocolate for someone special. My favorite part is their online email list. If you sign up on their website they send you a discount coupon for your birthday and anniversary! It's a very nice savings for a nice night out.

It's too dark in there!!! The cheese fondue was great, they are stingy on the surf and turf with the dumplings. Too full to eat the chocolate fondue it's still in the fridge.

This is just about as good as it gets when it comes to fondue. Melted cheese with bread, fruit, and veggies for dipping. Bubbling stock full of flavors with beef, pork, duck, and shrimp to cook. Chocolate with Bailey's comes with strawberries, marshmallows, cheesecake, and pound cake for dipping. All were incredible and the service here is superb. A must for any special occasion.

Went for my birthday in May. It was not busy and upon entrance the Hostesses ignored us. There was 2 of them talking to each other for several minutes until one looked up us and then still continued to ignore us until we had to approach them. They asked if we had a reservation which we did not then she proceeded to walk away. We stood around for several minutes ( I was ready to leave)until the girl finally came back, did not say a word, but had 2 menus so I assumed to follow her. She seats us (still without any word). Our waitress was a lot nicer and is one of the saving graces here. She was super helpful and very patient explaining the food menu and what to do since we had not been there before. The food was ok , the drinks were the best part! A wide variety of delicious martinis, a little pricey, but still very good. Upon leaving, the hostesses were still standing around talking and did not acknowledge us or say goodbye as we left. Minus the extremely rude and unprofessional hostesses we had a pretty good time here.

I went here with a Living Social voucher and it was well worth the experience. This is the second MP that I've gone to and my only real complaint is that this one seems less intimate and cozy than the one I previously went to in Tacoma, WA. The server was awesome and provided recommendations and was very friendly and chatty despite how busy the place was. The food. What can you say about the food really? It all comes down to the cuts of meat - good, btw, your selections (many) and your own cooking which can really vary the experience. Overall, the location is good and the place is nice enough to forget that you're in a shopping mall while you're there. It can be pricey if you're not familiar with the chain and you can spend a few hrs here easily so plan for both.

A very good cheese fondue, but the meal was a little pricey. Plus, when you get the filet mignon...you have to boil it to cook it. What is this, England?! Those people boil pizzas for Cod's sakes! I guess if you want to spend the money to get some action, a perfect date spot. But you can also just take the date to a liquor store, Dakine Diego's, and lay a blanket on the beach. Kidding. This spot was pretty good.

If you have been to a Melting Pot in the past, skip this location. This chain was an outstanding choice for nice casual, upscale dining in the 90's and early 2000's. Well paced, four plus star dining was the norm. Alas, expansion of the franchise has not been kind to the brand. Don't bother going for a romantic date, regardless of time of night. Instead, brace yourself for screaming unsupervised children running though the isles, loud cackling adults at rowdy tables. Expect a long wait for a table with a reservation, and don't even try Thursday-Saturday from 6-8:30 without one.

This place should be on everyone's bucket list! Personally, I skip the dinner and go straight to dessert.

This was me and my husbands first fondue experience. We were pleasantly surprised. We started the dinner with their signature 'Love martini'. If you enjoy non-alcohol-y tasting drinks, this is for you. It was very light and I could barely taste if there was any alcohol in it. We had the fiesta cheese which was just glorified queso con salsa ( still delish) followed by the steak lovers and chicken potstickers for the main course. Both were really very good and tender. The filet mignon just fell off the fork. The finished with the turtle chocolate for dessert. Let's just say I was licking the spoon with that one. Great for a date night or girls night once in a while. I was a little on the pricey side but an enjoyable experience all together. We will be back!

Great Happy Hour deals. $5 martinis & half-priced cheese fondue. Delicious and great service. Teddy - our server last night - is great.

I lived in Orlando for years where the Maitland Melting Pot was the place to go for the a nice, romantic meal. The dining room was dark and the ambiance was relaxing. The Viera Melting Pot is the complete opposite. It's loud. It's unruly. Kids run up and down the aisles like monsters. The food is delicious. The service is wonderful. The atmosphere is not. If you are lucky enough to find yourself in the side dining room you have a chance of nice meal. However, if you are seated in this area next to a 7 year olds Princess Party you are going to pay $200 for a dinner in hell. I have been to this location at least ten times and it is always the same. On our last visit, I mentioned to the Manager that the bathroom was horrific and one hour later when I went back to the bathroom prior to leaving, the bathroom was even worse! The Viera location is basically a Chuck E Cheese for the fancy Viera kids. We now always sit out on the patio and use it as a sports bar and I suggest you do the same. That way you won't be annoyed when your romantic dinner turns into a child's birthday party.

I've been to Melting Pot restaurants for many years, this is my first time back since I've joined Yelp and as usual, this particular place, one of the new ones, didn't disappoint. The service is always exceptional at Melting Pots, my wife and I have never had a bad experience - never. The food at first looks like it's not enough (it always looks like it's never enough), but we always leave knowing we ate way too much. Their menu has changed over the years, but it remains true to its core - fondue. Whether it's for the dinner or dessert, the choices are all good and always hard to pick from. If you're looking for a special dinner on a special night - The Melting Pot is for you.

Really enjoy that we have Melting Pot around the corner. They always have specials, and last night was 2 for 1 martinis. Always great for a group of girls or a family event. So excited to find out Thursday is kids eat free with an adult entree and cheese. Everytime I have had excellent service and great food.

Absolutely predictable. And absolutely fun (if you bring the right people). We have eaten here, and at Melting Pots at various places for the past 23 years. The experience is almost always the same. Good for them. Light banter and an atmosphere that quickly just evolves around your table. Bravo, for a place where you cook your own food!

5th time to a Melting Pot, 1st time to the one here in Melbourne. Came in for my son's birthday. Everyone was pleasant. Service was slow and they had forgot plates and utensils for the dessert. This was odd considering they only had about 4-5 tables in the place. The big thing, the price on the bill did not match what was on the menu. I asked about it, and the waitress said that was just how they ring it up, she did not know why, but then never asked or seemed to care. Being that it was just $8 total overcharge, I just left it. One entree was overcharged and a couple of drinks.

There must be a corporate policy at The Melting Pot barring douche bags from employment. I've been pleasantly surprised with the attentiveness, and genuine faux interest in my meal displayed by MP servers. This can be a highly interactive experience, so you have to do your part and not be a douche bag either. Everyone knows this is a two hour minimum right? And basically at LEAST $100 for two people for a full meal. The food is good, but 1/2 of it is very basic. The novelty of the experience is what keeps you entertained, at least on your first visit. After a few visits though, you start looking at that check (which likely deserves a hefty tip). At this point, you will declare that your relationship with The Melting Pot is over as you realize that you really DID just spend $137 on a meal for two.

We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. A party of 4, we shared the swiss cheese appetizer for 2 ($16) and were glad we did. The house salad was outstanding and colorful. For entrees, we ordered to Pacific something, which included beef, pork, duck, shrimp, and chicken. We ordered one pot of oil-based, and one pot of broth-based, which worked well. Small servings of dipping sauces are included, as well as batter. After the entrees, we were pleasingly stuffed-to-the-gills, but that did not deter us from splitting a chocolate fondue, with peanuts. I do believe this is what heaven tastes like. The decor is upscale and tasteful. The service was good. Price ran about $45 per head, including a glass of wine for 2 in our party, and tip. We all agreed it was a fair price, and we all enjoyed ourselves.

I agree if you are going to The Melting Pot, you are going for the experience. I had a good time and the food was good. I can see myself going maybe twice a year. The waitstaff was great, we also had Matty. I would like to see the main course a little larger. I went with my wife and the full course dinner was around $120 with 2 beers. I can't say it is a great deal, but if you want a good meal and plenty of time to talk with someone then The Melting Pot is a good choice. On a side note, the meat is spiced, you have a flavored cooking broth, and about 7 dipping sauces. It seemed a little overkill.

Tuesday night Buy One Get One Free Martinis! What a great way to get the girls together and have drinks (and chocolate too). :-)

The Food was great, after we finally was served. The service was terrible. Our waiter was exeptionally inattentive, paying way more attention to the table with the drunken girls sitting next to us. Took 2 hours to have out entree delivered to our table. Our waiter was so bad that another waiter from a different section noticed that we weren't being taken care of us. He even suggested that we speak with a manager. The manager did comp most of our meal. When in the area I will have to think twice before returning. Too bad cause the food and concept were great.

Love this place. Fantastic cheese fondue, savory meats with delicious sauces, and decadent chocolate! Service is good as well. A bit pricey, but great for special occasions and celebrations. If it's just my husband and I, we'll usually get all the courses but split the entree, and still end up totally stuffed. It's even more fun to go with a group, so you can sample different things. Every few months they have different seasonal offerings, called 'the Big Night Out'. The cheddar cheese and swiss fondue are my favorites. For chocolate, cookies and cream or the original (chocolate + PB) are excellent. Really, almost anything you get will be good. Also, the servers don't always tell you, but most of the dipping items (not the meats of course) are refillable.

Too pricey but so worth it. They have these ladies night once or twice a year where they have imperial salon and spa come out. You can get your eyebrows done, get a massage, etc. Definitely, TRY IT!

The Melting Pot is a unique experience, to be sure. A great spot for date night, or ladies night out. In fact, every so often, they have a "ladies night" here which my girlfriends and I frequent. The Melting Pot is a medium-sized place, dark ambiance, pretty good food - all fondue-based. It's a little pricey, but the wait staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I recommend anything chocolate, and highly recommend the love martini.

We had a wonderful experience while on vacation on our anniversary. The food is a bit pricey, but it's not like you go there everyday. We could have gone somewhere else and gotten more food for the money however would miss out on the whole fondue experience. The ambience was awesome. The low- lit tall booths are perfect for cozying up. It seems like there are hundreds of martinis and wines to choose from. We told no one it was our anniversary but our waiter/ chef treated us like we were high roller royalty. We probably spent about 175 for the 2 of us. That included 2 martinis, a bottle of wine and the whole dinner four course for 2. We make sure we visit each time we are in the area.

Sit outside when the weather is cool. 2 for 1 drinks and free cheese course. Makes it fun and more affordable. Great cheese and salad. I skip main course and go to chocolate dessert.

So much fun! Good food and a huge martini list. I could do without the entree. It wasn't nearly as good as the cheese fondue, salad and dessert. We'll be back for sure!

I loved the romantic atmosphere. My fiance and I went to the Melting Pot in Melbourne, Florida, the day before Valentines Day and we loved it. It was very romantic. The food is basic, but if you want a romantic night out with your love one this is the place to go. The service is very good and the place is nice.

  • Rick R.

Everytime I go here I have a nice time, but tell myself I won't go back. The food is good, the atmosphere is fun, and there's certainly nowhere else quite like it... a fun time for a group of friends. But value-for-money I always feel like I spent a lot of money for food I have to cook myself! The quality of the ingredients is good, and they add menu specials to jazz things up periodically. They also have an excellent bar with many unique martini choices, and a decent wine list. Like I said, I always have fun, but somewhere along the way they always end up losing me...probably when I grow weary of trying to fish out another piece of beef or shrimp or chicken out of the hot oil because it fell off or got knocked off by the other 5 sticks in the pot! If it was about $5 a person cheaper I'd give it 4 stars. I know... cooking it yourself is "the fun part", but if I'm going to spend that much, I'd like to not have to work that hard ! : )
