There's many Thai places in the area that all offer great food. Sabai Thai is my go to spot though because they are consistent, clean, and the atmosphere is really laid back. My favorite dish is the "Drunken Noodle"(Thai hot) w/beef & add tofu. Prices are reasonable. Try the Thai tea!!

Good but not great. The sushi is not bad, but nothing special. The prices are on par with other sushi places in the area. The space is dimly lit and the service is efficient, but not overly friendly. A fine place for value, but is a step below Thai Thai and even the sushi at Makotos.

Very good food but service is like dealing with Seinfelds soup Nazi. Waitresses work hard but they are short on friendliness and I'm pretty sure my plate was tossed at me on my last visit. Have had sushi and noodle dishes. I'll return for the food but probably see a therapist before and afterwards to beef up my self esteem :)

This was a pleasant surprise! From the outside it didn't look special but as soon as we entered it was a great dinner. The sushi was fantastic, the Thai food was great. The staff was friendly and prompt. I would happily come back here again.

Really a hidden gem as was already noted. Food is excellent. I had the fresh spring rolls which had fresh shrimp (large) and a lot of shredded veges. I also ordered the larb appetizer. Presented on a bed of fresh cabbage and not too spicy as I had requested. Yummy!! Finished it off with green tea ice cream. You know it's got be good when nearly everyone eating here is Asian

Really good Red Curry. Actually the best Thai food I've had in the state of Florida in a very, very long time. Ordered Red Curry but asked for no pineapple. That just doesn't sound good. As I ordered it though it was excellent. Also had the vegetarian spring roll. Really nice crispy/crunchy stuffed with finely chopped veggies and glass noodles. Staff was really friendly, warm and welcoming. This place is very close to the Hilton (within a few blocks). So if you're here on business or pleasure I would highly recommend it for a Thai fix.

Decent sushi, bad hot tea. You can tell they microwave their water as it loses it's heat very quickly. I ordered the sunshine roll and the dancing eel. Both came with nice presentation. While I've had the sunshine roll before and been blown away, it did t do it for me this time. The dancing eel tasted better but then again eel generally does.

I had lunch at Sabai Thai on November 30, 2011 after passing it at random on the way back to the office from an appointment. It is in a small, rather plain looking strip mall on Hibiscus Blvd. Despite their bright green sign you can easily miss the place which would be quite a shame as they are strong competitor in an overcrowded and competitive field of "Sushi Thai" restaurants. It never ceases to amaze me how many Sushi Thai restaurants are in the Space Coast. I am hard pressed to think of any pure Japanese Sushi restaurants or Thai restaurants featuring only Thai food without the addition of Sushi. Three years ago I wrote of glowing Yelp review of Thai Thai II, and considered myself a Thai Thai fan boy. Recently Thai Thai has been in decline, with significant decline in food quality particularly Thai Thai's chicken based Thai dishes which as of late have been tough and rubbery. Thai Thai's quality decline has been accompanied by a steady upward creep in size of their bill at lunch. As such I have been on the look out for other Thai options like Nippon Thai... and now Sabia Thai. I ordered the lunch Mango Curry ($9.95) and Ice Tea ($1.50). The first thing that arrived at the table was Ice Tea, which was fresh brewed, served with a lemon and regularly refreshed. Next came a Thai Spring roll and a soup of day which was a chicken broth based clear soup with rice and some scallions. The Spring Roll was quite small even by lunch standards. Ignoring the portion size the quality of the spring roll was fine but as far as Spring Rolls go the ones included with lunch at Thai Thai are better. The soup was tasty and I was glad to see that the soup is not always Miso. The soup was served in a small plastic bowl that was only partially filled. The portion size was adequate but smaller than that served at lunch by other Sushi Thai competitors. Next the Mango Curry arrived with chicken, shrimp, mango chunks, red pepper strips, and a few other vegetables, in a yellow curry sauce with a side of jasmine rice. Comparing this dish to the same dish at Thai Thai... I like Sabai's Thai's version better. The Mango Yellow Curry at Thai Thai, does not have any chunks of mango and might only refer to a mango color. Sabia's version does not have pineapple but does have actual chucks of mango. The chicken in Sabai Thai's version of the dish is more tender than that at Thai Thai. The portion size seemed a little smaller at Sabia Thai.. perhaps it is 90% of the size of the portion at Thai Thai but I did not leave hungry. Sabai Thai has a menu that is long and deep especially on the Thai side. I also liked the fact that their menu has lunch and dinner combinations that mix Sushi, Sashimi and Pad Thai. Siam Orchid and Nippon Thai both have similar combinations but Thai Thai has no Pad Thai and Sushi combinations. On the Japanese side of the menu lunch specials come with soup or a green salad with ginger dressing. At Thai Thai if you want Salad instead of soup you pay $1.00 extra. At Thai Thai the costs of the extras, Salad instead of Soup ( $1.00 ) brown rice instead of white rice ($1.00) shrimp instead of rubber chicken ($2.00) can add 50% to the price of lunch. The service as lunch was friendly and efficient. I was there before the lunch rush but notices several other diners enthusiastically suggesting to each other their favorite Sabia Thai dishes. Sabai Thai is well worth checking out and has earned a spot in my Thai Sushi rotation. *** Update: On Saturday Sabai Thai is open at Noon but only offers their dinner menu. I went there on a Saturday at 1:00 and they were empty. When they told me they I could not order off the lunch menu I headed for the door and they told me they would make an exception. They did not tell me that they would skip the egg roll and soup that usually comes with lunch and charge me the usual price. I have no idea why they would be open on Saturday during the lunch hour and force all customers to only order off the dinner menu. Perhaps this is why they were empty. This policy is penny wise at pound foolish. Restaurants should think about how these arbitrary policies are viewed by customers. Customer experience counts. On this point Thai Thai gets it and Sabai Thai doesn't.

Great food and service. Best time to go here is at lunch. Dinner is expensive. Service- good Value for money- only at lunchtime Cost-$$ Quality- good

This is near my work. Its a great lunch crowd but i have there for dinner too. Always full at lunch time. Service is fast and friendly. Food is fresh and well prepared. My first visit i had the crispy duck. It was excellent. The duck was lean, flavorful, and a great texture. I was stuck on the duck for a while. Lately i have been eating their sushi. The sushi is satisfying and reasonably priced. Sabai Thai will remain on my list of restaurants for business lunch and casual dinners

Seriously this is my absolute favorite Thia restaurant in the area. Ive been going here for years and never had a dissappointing experience here! Always top notch food, drink, and service. Their Drunken Noodles here are the bomb. Spicy, tangy, sweet, and a very generous portion. The best drunken noodles in town Id say. The Tom Ka Gai is also delicious. Veggies mixed with chicken in a cocunut lemongrass base. To die for. The sushi too here is great and they have quite a nice selection. Some of these rolls can be monstrous so order what you know you can eat. The staff here is friendly and helpful. Always checking to be sure you are happy, comfortable, and the food and drink are to your liking.

I'm adding another star and here's why: It's a small little gem tucked into a little plaza and doesn't have much traffic which I prefer. They have fairly quick service each time I've been at night, and it's a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. I know I don't have to deal with a huge mass of people whenever I come to Sabai Thai, which allows me to enjoy my company in an cozy, intimate atmosphere, and more importantly enjoy the food/sushi which is always fresh and beautifully presented.

I've eaten lunch at Sabai Thai on 3 occasions. Each time the food is phenomenal, but the service is really rather bad. Each time I've had a different server and each time they've been short with me, MIA when I needed something, and appeared to be irritated. The most recent visit, however, was one of the most outlandish dining experiences I've ever. During my entire meal, my waiter was arguing with the sushi chef. The sushi chef's station is in the front of the house, so every customer could see and hear their interactions. This not only made it impossible for me to read my book, but it made me very uncomfortable. The only thing that kept me from giving this restaurant one star is that the food really is phenomenal, and the place is incredibly clean. Maybe in the future, though, I'll stick to takeout orders.

I've only done takeout here and it was all good.

A "hidden" gem for great sushi in Melbourne. I've been here for lunch twice and my expectations were exceeded both times. The fish is as fresh as I've ever had; so tender and smooth it's like eating butter. The service was like having a private servant; very refreshing. I highly recommend trying this place. Hopefully you'll be as surprised as I was.

Honestly some of the best, freshest sushi you can get in Melbourne. Love the service and the dining area. Cozy and unobtrusive. Definitely a must-try if you like sushi.

Best little Thai place in Melbourne. As a frequent traveler to Melbourne, it took me 4 tries to find a Thai restaurant I liked. Sabai Thai makes a delicious red curry, and it has a pretty good kick even if you don't ask them to spice it up. The pad thai is not their strong suit. Enjoyed the sticky rice with mango dessert, too. The staff is always friendly.

5 of us just ate there. Everyone's food was very good and the prices are fair for what toy get. Service was very helpful in highlighting the top items on the menu. Decor lacked a bit which lost it a star. Best was the green curry!

I'm visiting and did "take out" for dinner twice during my stay. The food was very good and prices are very reasonable.

Generous portions of veggies, meat, and noodles. Great value,,

I've only tried Sabai Thai at lunch time, and I've never been disappointed. Small, tucked away in a strip center, but nice atmosphere and friendly service. Sushi is better than average, Pad Thai is delicious, especially if you ask them to spice it up a bit. Good value on combo lunches featuring teriyaki chicken and sushi, or even Pad Thai Chicken and Sushi/Sashimi platter for 12.95. A solid choice when you're craving thai!
