Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

It was one of the best Mexican restaurants I ever been to. The food was so delicious. The services was friendly and fast. Definitely I recommend this place for any one would like to task grate food with very reasonable price. Small tip skip the desert

Nothing special, but it's decent Mexican food for an ok price. We've struggled to find a great go-to Mexican place down here. We're really missing El Paso in Springfield, VA. Husband had green chile pork and it was good ... Almost too tender though. So soft that it was almost off putting. Tasted good, though. I had a carne asada burrito and it was just ok. Lots of rice and beans inside it, and lots of rice and beans on the plate. Totally overkill. Steak wasn't seasoned very well and was just kinda there. Nothing to write home about. Can't someone just open a spectacular Mexican restaurant here?! Please??

We had an amazing time here after finishing up my nieces communion. The waiter was sweet and attentive. My 2 year old nephew put him through the toddler test haha. Food was delicious. They accept all credit cards. Parking is available. Their margaritas are on point! What can I say?? Great business and the employees are so pleasant. Did I mention they have a mariachi band? Yes... Yes they do have one. It's fantastic. They are the main attraction of this restaurant. I think if I revisit this restaurant and I see no mariachi band I'd leave. They make dinner or lunch that much more fun and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place.

Great food and great service! Give them a try if you are looking for some good Mexican food. My family and I eat here at least once a week. Located in West Melbourne off of Palm Bay road.

Was a little iffy about this place from the reviews, but when I walked into this beautiful establishment, I knew I was in for a treat. Great atmosphere, service was fast and friendly. My chimichanga and enchilada was delicious. Great experience, I will return.

Cambron and the service was good. The food was very disappointing! I would probably not return.

Found a good Mexican restaurant in Central Florida. Not quite Southern California Mexican, but it will meet the craving. Good carnitas tacos, goods chips and dip. Next time I have to get the table prepared guac dip that the next table said was great. And two for one beers on this night. The waiter was attentive and friendly with me. I will be back.

Best carne asada outside of southern California. Homemade salsa, service is a little slow but in this TacoBell/Chipotle world some sacrifices are necessary...love this burrito so hard.

Was pleasantly surprised. Food is good for Melbourne- house margaritas are 2-for-1 and pretty tasty- came here for lunch once and was right in and out- dinner a few weeks later and it was the same. For decent Mexican that actually tastes like it was homemade, I'd definitely come back. The salsa is pretty awesome too.

Excellent. Great service. Loved the guacamole prepared at the moment at the table. Fantastic margaritas.

Just moved here from San Antonio and this was our first try for Mexican food, and it was a winner! The chips were freshly made, still warm, and the dip was just spicy enough not to be over-powering. The guac was good and our entrees were delicious. House drinks were two for one and not bad. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, the booths roomy and comfortable, and the decor was tasteful. Will definitely be coming back and bringing family with us when they come to visit. Good job!

Everything was great! Food was delicious & service was excellent. The restaurant is very well maintained & the bathrooms were nice & clean. My husband and I both got enchiladas and we really enjoyed them. They came out piping hot, and they tasted very fresh. We also got a very tasty dessert, but unfortunately I can't remember what it was called. We will definitely be back.

Overall pretty good food, but don't go there if you're in a hurry. We've gone 3 times now, 2 times good was great, 1 time it was cold and had to be sent back. You'd expect a visit from the manager for that right? Never saw a manager. The restaurant itself is nice, the wait staff is friendly, and we'll give it another few tries.

This place is truly the most authentic Mexican in brevard . Cheap menu , great drinks , & terrific flavor !
(4)Shannon P.
The food is good but they're slow to get it to you. Friendly wait staff and nice atmosphere. Not a good place to go if you're in a hurry!

My husband and I took a chance on this restaurant, hoping that maybe they improved after getting such mixed reviews. For starters the restaurant is gorgeous. It was very crowded so we sat outside...it was a bit chilly but our server turned on the heater. We ordered civiche as our appetizers and it was very good. Chips and salsa weren't bad either. My husband ordered the carne asada and I got the chimichangas. They forgot tortillas with my husband's food. As for mine...the concoction I was served was putrid. Mushy corn tortillas filled with slimy foul tasting spinach and tomatoes. I'm assuming it was a vegetarian option? But I ordered beef chimis. So disgusting. Not worth what we paid. Won't be returning.

Busy place great to see! Lots of room..friendly and clean....the decor was nice......the food was great, reasonably priced , wait staff very pleasant! Highly recommend the restaurant and wish huge success to Hector!

Dined here 4 times and haven't been disappointed yet. Moved to Palm Bay four years ago and couldn't find good Mexican food until this place opened.
(4)David M.
Eaten here twice. Both times the food was better than average, slightly more expendive but... Both times, the service was awful. Waited for a server to take our drink order. Waited for a server to take our food order, and worst of all, waited forever for the bill. SAME ON BOTH VISITS!
(2)Rich S.
Great lunch with authentic Mexican food. We both had the hevos rancheros which was excellent. Good service, good prices and a nice clean atmosphere. We will be back soon!
(5)Robert B.
Beautiful interior, good service and the food was better than most Mexican food restaurants. Will eat here again!
(5)Chad R.
Food was pretty good, service was terrible...my wife got the fajitas, and she literally got 4 little pieces of cheese on the boat! She asked for more, the waitress comes back with the extra cheese, but stops at the next booth to have a twenty minute conversation with the people there...and we were charged extra. Not in a hurry to get back.
(2)Mike M.
Don't bother. SLOWEST SERVICE EVER. Brought half the food after 40 min and the other half in another 20! It wouldn't have been bad except u should bring the meat for fajitas first!!!! I'm just sayin!!! SKIP IT, u will be very let down...

Trying to fool everyone with the new tables and new location. Once I tasted the food I realized it's Rancho Viejo all over again. Bah. Disappointment from service to food. Watery dishes and long waits for service (even though it wasn't busy) won't get me back after three tries.

Took my mom and dad the Saturday before Mother's Day to avoid the traditional crowds on that same holiday. We were there in the early afternoon and the place wasn't all that busy, but it took a while for us to be seated (even though there were several servers standing at the bar eating chips and drinking water), and then another longer while for our drink order to be taken. We got the chicken taquitos for an appetizer and, while they tasted great, they did not have as much lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream as some Mexican restaurants have on their taquito plate. The menu was a bit laughable as "queso dip" was actually spelled out as "queso deep," one entry read as having "onions and green papers," and another entry just trailed off without finishing the description of the dish. My main dish was the Camarones a la Diablo, and they were HOT. I'm one for hot and spicy, but this is one of the hottest things I have ever eaten. The flavor was great, don't get me wrong, but this menu entry definitely needs a warning in the description. All in all, a mediocre restaurant to which I will not be rushing back. I'd much rather go to Fiesta Azteca on 192.

Was pretty good. Enjoyed the beef chimichanga over the chicken, it was bland. Beans and rice were pretty good. Nice decor. Would eat at again.

Not great service. Food is average but good. Servings are fair for price. But overall had a great family outing here.
(3)Nick G.
Best Mexican food in that area. Good lunch prices. Convenient to my work for lunch. The wife and I ate lunch for under $20

I took my wife here on 04/17/15. The food was good but the service was lousy. First we were seated close to the entrance which was not an issue, but after being there a few minutes my wife was getting dripped on by a leaking roof, when we mentioned it to our waiter he snickered and said he would tell his manager. After 5 minutes and no manager we decided to move ourselves. The waiter came back took our order and then disappeared for about a 1/2 an hour. When they brought our food back my wifes order was wrong and when we mentioned it to the waiter he acted like it was an inconvenience to take it back. Someone else from the kitchen brought her plate back and he didn't say a word. The next time we saw our waiter was when he dropped of our check. As we were leaving we mentioned to the waitress that we would not be coming back. Her comment was that was our choice. It is a shame that the attitude of the employees are so bad because the food is pretty good.

This place is decent if you're searching for Mexican food. The chips and salsa were the best part. I got a chimichanga and it was good, but I've had better! It was just a little bland. The thing I also didn't like was that there wasn't any guacamole as an appetizer but you could get it as a side with a meal, which I ended up doing. It seemed like it was pre-made, packaged guac and not freshly made. Overall it was average and better than somewhere like El Chicos...
(3)Brenda P.
The place "looks fancy" but as soon as we got seated we noticed food on the chairs. The food took long to be served. The food wasn't great. I threw up the night after I ate there. I do not recommend this place.

Service was great and the food was perfect, as usual! So glad to have our favorite restaurant open again. Thanks Hector and your great team. Welcome back!

I have been in this town a long time and have been to MANY places in town. OMG how is this place still open? We walked in and there so maybe 4 other tables there. It took 10 min to get seated and and another 15 min to get our drinks. We watched other people walk in and walk out after no one came to seat them. The table next to us got up an walked out while we were waiting for our drinks. After another 11min(at this point we were timing) She came to take out order. However another table walked to the waitress and said they were leaving and keep their dinners. Then she walked away from us. We were able to leave but were stopped at the door and promised they would make it better for us. We put in a order and 30 min later out food comes. While some other people walked in who happen to be spanish and get sat ASAP, got drinks before us, food before us Mind you our order was already in. When we went to leave we were asked "Are you happy with your meal today?" We said no, and explained how bad it was. The food was generic and the salsa had a metal taste to it, telling me it was from a big tin can. The food did not stand out as good what so ever. I have better food and service at EL Chico all day everyday. This place is horriable, they seem racist in how they were fulfilling the orders. The waitress then said, "So sorry Amego, better luck next time, your bill is only 40 dollas, see you next time Amego's." I dont think so!! Save your money and GO else where!
