Wonderful! The food was amazing! I love the family feel. My mom and I were greater by the owner who brought us complimentary garlic knots....delicious! I had the citrus sangeria. Not bad for $7 bucks a glass. For lunch I had the lasagna based off of my waitress suggestion......freaking fantastic! It was saucy, cheesy, and just perfection! My mom had the chicken francese and she said it was good but needed a little more seasoning. Overall great experience and I will be back!!!

Chef Mario's cafe is an intimate, relaxed restaurant where the staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive. The chef will sometimes go around and meet the diners and talk about the meals. The food absolutely reflects the passion of the people who work there. Every dish is carefully prepared by a chef who truly loves his job, and after eating numerous times here I have yet to find a dish that wasn't spectacular. Go tell your friends about this place. This is by far the best Italian food within the greater melbourne/viera area.

I went to the garden show today and had my two dogs with me so I stopped here for lunch outside and they brought my dogs water and treated us so well. The food was very delicious and the service was excellent! I had the eggplant parmigiana and the calamari for an appetizer. It was so filling I took half of it home and had it for dinner tonight. Even chef Mario came outside to visit with the customers and that was really a nice touch I highly recommend this restaurant! I even made several new friends well I was eating outside today and that was fun!

I ordered the chopped salad because I was excited about the unique combination of ingredients (currants, chik peas, feta, sundried tomatoes i think, artichoke, candied nuts...) The good: The portion of the salad was perfect. I get so annoyed paying $15 for an entree salad when they only give you a bed of lettuce with chicken on top. The dressing was delicious and home made (tomato basil vinagrette). I am picky and love a good entree salad and the combination of flavors was the best that I've had in melbourne. It was very fresh and tasty. Chicken was moist, tasty, and flavorful. The combination of ingredients was so unique and delicious Service was prompt and welcoming even though I ordered to go. They brought me refills of water which was great and nice. The bad: If I was starving I would have maybe wished for a little more chicken but the overall portion of the salad (and ratio of yummy tid bits) was great. $15 with tip... I shouldn't order it ever day but maybe every other day??? The verdict: THANK GOD I found a place with great salads! I don't know if I'll ever order anything else because I loved it so much. I'm addicted. I was so happy to find such a great cafe I wrote the review while enjoying my lunch because great food and service means they should get a great review.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner tonight, Saturday the 6th of September and it was fabulous. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, the ambiance was delightful. The chef came out and spoke to us which was lovely. Can't say anthing bad about this place and I look forward to going there again.

Food was good. Very disappointed in service. They didn't have the bottle of wine we ordered. Offered a replacement wine by manager. When the bill came, it was double the price. When I questioned the price with the waitress, the manager came and asked accusingly, "so you don't want to pay for your wine?" Not the way to treat a customer. Too bad because it was a place we heard good things about.

The food and wine service was excellent but the down side was we could hear the chef yelling at the server from the kitchen. Ok, that ruined the ambiance because he was super loud and sounded angry even with the place being super busy at the time. There was another man/server that was very polite and welcoming and during dinner we realized he was the manager. We felt bad because of the scene the chef was making during our dinner, which the food was above average. All in all, we would love to come back because my husband and I both love authentic italian food, the pasta was excellent, veggies were delish and the wine choices were pretty good also. But unfortunately, neither one of us could really enjoy the ambiance of our "romantic dinner" when there is somebody YELLING at our server and anybody else that was within ear shot. Our server was very professional and she did a great job especially under the conditions. Maybe will we take the chance of eating outside next time so we don't have to hear the chef.

One of the better Italian restaurants in Brevard. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was good also. I ordered the eggplant casserole and it was very tasty! I hope to see this restaurant stick around for a while, it's a great spot I would definitely recommend trying.

New restaurant at the corner of Highland and EG Blvd in the Eau Gallie Arts District and this one is going to make it. Yes, Virginia, we have a winner. Having only been twice for lunch, my experience has been a knockout both times as were my guests and the general word of mouth. GO. There are several public parking places in the area, if you don't get lucky enough to be right in front, but nothing is far. Here is a map of EGAD parking -- eaugalliearts.com/parking . Seriously, fresh and well prepared food. Service is excellent. Spread the word.

New restaurant in town. Visited while in town for a few days with my wife. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was prepared well and tasted excellent. Can't beat the price for the quality of food, best deal in town for sure. Very nice wine selection as well.

Had lunch there today. Although it was late, service was superb and the sandwiches were fabulous. I had the turkey panini, greAt. The cranberry relish was homemade and was out of this world. My husband had the Dante, sausage and meatball panini that was very flavorful. It's unusual for him to comment on the quality but he loved it. We will be back.

We just had our daughters graduation dinner at Chef Mario's. The food was excellent! Each course was as good or better than the last! The wait staff was extremely attentive. We left completely full with food for tomorrow!

If I could have given 0 stars, I would. We were there on a First Friday, but it was not crowded. Or waiter took our order and said he works be right back with bread. Then the wait started. It took a long time to get our drinks. After we got our drinks, the waiter again said he would be back with our bread. We waited...and waited...and waited. After we asked our waiter AGAIN for bread, he came back and said he forgot to put our order in. He gave my wife a free wine and apologized. When he finally brought out bread, there was no flavor at all to the bread. Almost an hour after we ordered, he brought out our food. My pizza tasted like a frozen cheese pizza. The cream sauce on my wife's food was cold and had sat so long it had a "skin" on it. We sent it back and complained to the manager. His solution: a free glass of wine. Skip this place!

Wonderful place, awesome attentive staff, great cuisine. I had the grouper francese, perfectly cooked with a delicate coating of light batter with a lemon butter sauce of unreal qualities. Lemon butter sauce had perfect balance of lemon taste without sour notes. Wife had chicken Marsala, very nice dish. Pasta with both was al dente, cooked just right. I recommend this place highly. It gets my empty plate award, so you can imagine what I did what I did with the food!

Most of the food was great. But the restaurant seemed very unorganized and the kitchen was slow. The lasagna and the veal parmigiana was rated very good. My pizza with a artichokes was delicious! (But nice restaurants should NEVER have you keep your fork from your salad for the next course!) I received mine about 10 minutes after everyone else got their dinner! We had to ask for water a second time. If I were to go again I would encourage everyone to try the various pizzas and have a few drinks while you wait. I am hoping this restaurant makes it. There have been a lot of start ups in this building. Will give them another chance.

Felt at home here... The food is good... Not expensive... And it's close to some art and antique spots. A great date and dinner spot for a casual night out. My wife and I had the rustic pizza, vodka sauce over penne, and a couple desserts. The dinner was good and satisfying. The desserts were the stars of the night for us, the cannoli was our favorite and will probably bring us back on its own. A solid choice for Italian

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
