You just can't go wrong with this place! Big portions and low prices!! To top it off the food taste delicious!!! The yellow rice is to die for!! No matter what you get, grilled steak or chicken this place will never disappoint!! Whenever I have family come from out of town, I bring them here!!

O....M....G! I'm mean seriously? ! My husband and i are totally in love with just the first bite! (And each other of course ) . The food is absolutely tasty for our taste and with BIG portions. Being that we are both from the Caribbean, the flavors were just right. It had a very familiar flavor that we were accustomed to traditional Caribbean get togethers .They have great prices, and really nice people . Also they serve beer, which is nice when you wanna chow down and finish it off with a cold one! nice atmosphere as well to dine in. Since I've moved to Florida, this is definitely my most favorite ! Sad to say, i think i may like it just as much, and plus alittle more, than my beloved, pio pio . Definitely going back!

Fast casual food done right! This place makes homestyle latin-fusion food like you've never had before. Used to be a taco bell, you can still see it in the layout. But you would swear this is NOT fast food. Forget Pollo Tropical with their puny chickens and dried up beans. They are still serving the same as they always have here. Chicken, steak, seafood. The fresh sauces add a great flavor to your meal. If your in the area, come to this branch as it is better than the one over on 441. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent food. Fajitas were outstanding. Quick service, great fixing bar and huge portions. On a second visit service was terrible, one of our meals was served, the other never arrived. We finally walked out.

One of my favorite restaurant. I absolutely love this place. They give you a lot of food for an inexpensive price. I always come here and get the lunch special.
(5)Mike Z.
My 1st time here and what an experience! The portions are more than generous and the flavors are authentic. If you are in the vicinity you MUST try the# 2......

The food here is excellent, large, and cheap! No doubt the best bang for the buck in Margate. There's lots on the menu but I always get the #2 - 1/2 a chicken, rice, beans, bansnas, and a drink for $7.95. You will be stuffed! From the outside it doesn't look like much but on the inside the flavor is gigantic! I'm not sure how they do it but the rotisserie chicken here is perfectly cooked every time. The seasonings make the crispy skin explode in your mouth. And the meat is always so tender and juicy, never dry or over cooked. Seriously, after one helping your taste buds will beg you to eat here at least once a week! No lie. It's really that good. The style is Peruvian. The "salsa" is purely made of onion! When I first saw that I didn't think I would like it. However, after one taste I was a lifetime fan. Somehow they are able to remove all the heat from them. They cut them into little chunks and mix in a magic white sauce. The juicy tangy acid flavor is the perfect match to make everything really "pop". They serve drinks in a bottle. That means "No Refills." Here's a tip though, order a fountain punch or lemonade (or a mix of both like I do) and you can have 1 free refill! There are lots of LaGrange Restaurants popping up all over the place. Sadly, none can hold a candle to this secret little treasure on Atlantic Blvd. Come with family, come with friends, come alone, just come! And bring a BIG appetite with you!

I've been eating here for years. Delicious Peruvian food served quickly. Each meal has giant proportions at economical prices. They serve freshly grilled chicken, but my favorite dish is the steak. The meal comes with plantains, yellow rice, and black beans. Try each of the four different sauces and add a side of marinated onions. This location is very popular, so you might find yourself waiting a bit. But the services tries to accommodate its customers as best as they can, so be patient. The food is worth the wait!

Can never go wrong with the food here. No matter what I have ordered the food has been great. The place is just like Pollo Tropical as far as the menu but the taste of their food is much better. This place is right by my house so if we are ever not in the mood to cook, this is out go to place. The resturant is well maintained, and is fine for a small group. This place is always packed and you are sure to wait a couple of minuets in line to place your order.

My co-workers and I have come to affectionately refer to this place as "The Big Chicken". Although the steak and fish combos are also good, the #5 chicken platter is the way to go. The piece of chicken barely fits on the plate (hence, the big chicken), and the rice, black beans and delicious plantains compliment the meal perfectly. Try some of the various onion salsas on just about anything, and an alfajores for dessert. It's a delicious and filling meal.
(5)Mike M.
Best Quick Peruvian food around. There breakfast is awesome. There family meals are great. There sauces are delicious.
(5)Lance S.
Found this place because of yelp while visiting Pompano... This place is awesome.... Food was fresh and delicious... Will go back for sure! Maybe tonight!!!
(5)Gabriel S.
I just luv the chicken on the grill with rice and beans they gone a bigger portion than pollo tropical and it more like moms food than pollo getting my eats on
(5)Jamie C.
One of the best La Granja locations i've been to. They have arepas which are delicious! Their flan is so rich and creamy. The service is fast and efficient.
(5)carol d.
Tried it instead of Pollo Tropicale, SO glad we did! Delicious chicken, cole slaw, rice and beans and plantains. Really good food, friendly service, very helpful. Try it! Price good and I found it much cleaner than most places. Traveling around southern Florida, from Illinois, will stop in again before heading north. Thanks Yelp, found this place while looking for a Tropical pollo close by our Hampton Inn in coconut Creek.

Ok this is the place that makes one of the most authentic latino ways to cook a steak, their grilled steak is amazing (the special number 3) as you can see at the picture they served you plenty of delicious food including a drink for about 10 bucks!!! I love this place nothing like La Granja for a great steak with rice and beans (Peruvian style)
(5)Nick A.
Possibly the best Peruvian food in Broward. Chicken, burgers, steaks all good. Try all the sauces!
(5)Jessica R.
Don't let the fast-food-like wall of a menu and red plastic cafeteria trays fool you--this place is great! I went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, and it was packed--a good sign for sure. It was well worth the wait, standing in a line 15-people deep, for the ceviche de pescada (topped with translucent, purple strands of red onion and accompanied by sweet potato and corn), yuca fries, and rice & beans! The condiment bar was probably my favorite feature of La Granja, complete with a spicy onion salsa, a garlicky onion salsa (great with the yuca), and a few others. Top it all off with a yerba mate, and your lunch is complete!
(4)Diana V.
The BEST FOOD in Margate! BEST 'home cooked' style food, and healthier than fast food. Don't let the ugly little building fool you! It's a GOLD MINE!! WONDERFUL FOOD!!!
(5)Jai M.
A local gem. Food is delicious, and the sauces are great.. I'm addicted to the red spicy sauce! Lines can be long @ lunchtime so be prepared to wait. Arepa, yellow rice, steal with onions and tomato slices are my favorites to get. Only four stars because on a few occasions I've gotten very fatty meat.
(4)Harry C.
Over all great value for the portions. Very busy place but service is pretty quick. Chicken under cooked last 2 visits.
(3)Tanya R.
Great place very clean, staff are so friendly and food is on point and always fresh! THE music though...ahh love it Latino wepa!
(5)Jessica G.
This was my first visit to this particular la granja and I found it to be a little nicer inside than others I have seen. I got there a little before noon, just missing the lunch rush, and order the 1/4 chicken with rice, beans, and plantains. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sides were all delicious (though I really am not an expert on rice, beans or plantains...I didn't really eat any of these things growing up). The mean also came with a can of soda. I paid around $7 and got two meals out of it...definitely a good deal. I think my favorite part of La Granja is the sauce bar. There are four (I think) different sauces you can take to go with your meal. I am not really sure what any of them are exactly...other than amazing. The white one in particular was my favorite. This is a great place to get a lot of food for not much money.
(4)K T.
Never disappointed, five star fast food! The sauces an the onions really make this a unique place. Come for the chicken, try the streak, but stay for the rice and beans covered with their onions and garlic sauce.
(5)Melissa C.
Why is this chicken so gooood? Wow. Super yum. I always get the quarter chicken with beans, rice and plantains. Then a ton of the onions at the sauce bar. The place is nothing to look at. It's just a great place to eat with good prices.

Time for an update review.... This is about the MARGATE FLORIDA store only. Wow. They are getting CHEAP!! If you order Rice and Beans, the Beans are practically in WATER. They have gotten so cheap on the beans at the Margate Location.. If you go to the Granja in Hallandale Beach the beans are in a rich and tasty sauce. FAR better for the EXACT SAME THING. The other problem is that one day you'll get a nice juicy quarter chicken and the NEXT day you may get a tiny, half burned, dried up piece of nothing. No consistency at all. But, in defense of the company, the other locations usually have better food. C-ya in a year.
(2)Troy B.
One of my all time favorite resturants in SFL. As soon as I land when I visit SFL I head right there from the airport! Black beans and rice and steak is my fav.
(5)Katelyn T.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Maybe the front doesnt look so great but the food is beyond. Im giving it 4 starts because sometimes the chicken is dry but thats okay! Love there chicken with plantains and yellow rice.

This is our Sunday night go to place when we are too lazy to cook at home. The food is always freshly made and and the portions are more than generous and the price is quite reasonable.... the average very filling meal with a drink averages $10-12 and the family dinners are very affordable! This is a great place to eat on a budget. The Menu is up on a board above the counter that you order your meal at with clearly marked prices and pictures and the service is polite and efficient. The menu is mainly Latin and Peruvian with an interesting assortment of dishes We usually go with the grilled chicken, pork or the beef and have never had a bad meal. The Fish and Chips are crisp and tasty but I would avoid the marinated grilled onions that they put on the fish as that makes it a bit soggy. The rice and beans are standard with the fried plantains and one does not come away hungry from this place. They close by 9 pm on Sundays so come early....they are prompt!! We will continue to frequent this home styled place on future Sundays ...God willing!
(4)Jen Z.
Must try! Great price for an obscene amount of food. The arepas are exceptional. Food comes quick. Place is clean and the staff is nice. If you are from a state or country that has a lame selection of hispanic food...go here for the real deal!
(5)Max A.
I stop at La Granja every time I'm in the area. It's an incredible value, delicious food and a casual dining atmosphere. Lunch special is great. 1/4 chicken, seasoned and roasted to perfection with rice and black beans and plantains. Fantastic and authentic Peruvian food. The sandwiches are worth passing on, really the best menu item is the chicken. Seafood and ceviche seem to be popular but I've never had it. Stick to the chicken and your fingers you'll be lickin'!!
(5)Gizella M.
Being a Hispanic girl and growing up pretty much eating rice and beans everyday... This place hits the spot. It's always fresh, big portion, great price and this one has a drive thru. Depending where I usually am I check to see if there is one near by. I normally order the #3 which is the traditional 1/4 chicken with rice and beans, but this one also includes a canned soda of your choice with plantains all for $6.50. You can't beat that honestly. And drive thru service...? Don't mind if I do. Last time I was 5 minutes short of them closing. I ordered my regular and the lady threw in an extra 1/4 because well, they were closing and anything left over they either take home themselves or it gets thrown out... So why not give it to your awesome customer who came in right as you were closing? Sounds like great customer service to me. There have been countless times where I have gone thru a drive thru 7 minutes to closing and have been turned away... Here I got extra food. If you want flavorful, fast, fresh Hispanic food to sit down and eat or take home... La granja should be your next stop.
(5)Brian R.
La Granjas are all a bit different. This one is ok, not great. The famous roasted chicken was dry and dead, but the steak plate was right on. They trade fresh seafood and other Peruvian menu items for stir fry noodle dishes, which is a sad choice. No tamales at this location either. I'm a big fan of the chain, but there are better franchisees nearby...
(3)Tim F.
This fast food-esque restaurant serves very good Peruvian food. Menu is pretty easy, with pictures to help out folks like myself, who are not wholly familiar with this delicious cuisine. I ordered chicken, with rice, and beans and side of soup. The food was tasty and the portions are rather large. Make sure to stop by the condiment bar which has some spicy options to kick your meal up a notch. The interior reminds me of a McDonald's or Taco Bell, but who cares if they are serving delicious food at an affordable price?
(4)Anthony M.
Definitely one of my favorites among the rice and chicken places. The only grip I have, every now and then their chicken is on the small side or a little over cooked, otherwise everything is usually very good.
(4)S. G.
My cousin kept talking about this place and how good the steak was, I'd always ignore his recommendation since if I wanted steak I'd go to outback. He finally convinced me to go and I'm glad I did, this isn't your outback steak it's different very flavorful and the sides were excellent. I didn't realize how much I would enjoy Latin food but it was very good and am glad I finally stopped in instead of ignoring it lime I had always done. Will be back.
(5)Eddie M.
very good rice and black beans-skirt steak and soups
(4)raymond c.
Some great Peruvian food some of the best in south fl if you havent been please go steak + rice and beans = full belly and very happy
(5)Dustyn S.
I can't review this place enough. For the price, quantity, and quality and you really can't go wrong!
(5)Nick A.
4.25 stars Have to get a whole chicken white meat only (4 fresh juicy tasty breasts) with yellow rice and beans, and of course the delicious hot sauce and free onion toppings from the condiment bar, and every time i order it i feel im getting away with highway robbery. This meal comes out to around 14 bucks and is probably price for price the best meal money can buy, especially if your craving spanish food. The boneless chicken breast is also delicious. The plantains are good but pretty standard. The yellow rice isnt great but its more than good enough to get the job done. Quick service, if you go around dinner time the line is long but worth it, i wish theyd turn off the soccer though when theres an NBA game on. Here and la brasa have to be the best quick cheap spanish spots this side of cuba. Ive never had any beef or fish meals from here, and im not brave enough to try the desserts. in a perfect world this place would have boiled yuca to complete the dinner. Ive been to other locations in Fort Pierce, boca, and sample road and theyre all great

I spent a lot of my senior year in high school at this joint. I'm very impressed. Very cheap food, very filling, and very good. Their pico de gallo bar is great, and the sauces add a nice kick to your meals. Get the steak or the chicken breast for your first time - although the 1/4 chicken makes for a good lunch time meal. I like the plaintains over the fries, although the fries are really good too! When I'm in NorCal, I often have dreams about this place.
(5)Wendy S.
Way better than Pollo Tropical- better sized chicken ,love the salsa, quick, easy. Always pick this over Pollo Tropical, and I love Pollo Tro[ical. Better rice and beans and chicken. Pollo should be worried...
(4)Sabrina L.
I visited La Granja this weekend. A friend of mine and I felt like having some peruvian chicken. I have been to the one in Kendall, but had never been to this particular location. Anyways, the place was packed!. They serve everything from Rotiserie chicken, to lomo saltado, ceviche, papa a la huancaina, etc. The price for a quarter chicken, with rice, beans, fries and an inca kola was around 6 bucks. Not bad at all, and they serve a lottt! I was so full I couldn't even finish it. This place is sure growing, they seem to have a lot of other locations around south florida.
(3)Patty B.
I love the food. Peruvian food ... Awesome, delicious hmmmm
(5)Zack R.
This is the BEST spanish-ish food around. I live for the steak. Tastiest piece of steak around and for a great price also! the rice and plantains are not too miss also. Make sure to grab some of the sauces with the onions in it.. you might die of heartburn after but it TOTALLY worth it!
(5)Kevin N.
Went to this place thinking it was Cuban food, or perhaps similar to Pollo Tropical. I was both surprised and impressed upon eating. The La Granja restaurants are Peruvian, and a small chain here in South Florida. You get massive quantities of food, and it is very tasty. The best part, however, is the sauces. There are four different salsas at the salsa bar, and then a couple different sauces in ketchup tubes on the tables, or near the cash register. Mostly, I just like to try them all, since they're so good. I think the green is my favorite in the tube. Of the salsas, the orange-y spicy one is the best. But you gotta like the heat to take it. The dining room is small and the place tends to fill up. I've never had to wait for a table, but have had to bus the trash of the people that sat there before me.
(4)Jenn S.
I normally think I'm too cool for chains, but this is actually really cheap, delicious food. Everyone in the house is usually happy with the steak and parilla chicken meals and the fish is just plain fried fish covered with onions and tomatoes. Like the other review said, they have good sauces, but they have an onion bar. They have like 4-6 kinds of different onions to put on your meals in the middle of the restaurant. The very best part? There's another La Granja within a few miles of this restaurant on 441 that is always uncomfortably packed (it takes forever to get the food) and it serves the same menu. The parking at this one is usually tight during dinner rushes, but you can always find a space in the parking lot for the shopping center next door.

**Mouth watering as I type** I *heart* this place!! Food is soooo good!... did I say good? ... I mean great ... did I say great? ... I mean AMAZING! I can't even spell Peruvian! (...ok, I just did) or even know where that's at!!? (Peruva who? Say what now??) But I love their food! It is simple but so flavorful ... its a PARTY in my mouth! My tongue is totally getting its groove on. It gets pretty crazy ... just saying ... Price is good. Service is good. It's all about the food for me. #FatKidSwag If you didn't know .... now you know.
(5)Jordan K.
I gave it 4 stars because of the price. The price is a bit spendy. But the food is on point! Oh yeah, the staff has as much personality as the dead chicken they're serving.
