Been to a few of this small chain and have yet to have any bad food what so ever, caf'e style with no frills and none needed. I will be back thats for sure! please keep up the good work.

Great food! Excellent service ! Never disappointed, l would recommend " Caldo de costilla". (ribs soup), the best in broward". I tried different restaurants from this chain, but definitely this is my favorite.

Great Columbian food. Always have great service. A little slow at times. Mainly when on lunch break. Food is always on point breakfast or lunch.

I can eat traditional hispanic food at mothers or make it myself.... But there are days when I don't feel like doing either and this is the place I go! They have freely squeezed orange juice that I absolutely love and Chicharron (pork fritters) with a piece of potatoe for $4. I love their soups and their carne asada or bandeja paisa is a must. They have several locations which I have eaten at and this one is one of my favorites. I just love the food and it's defintely worth the price! Who doesn't want a good homemade meal like moms outside of home? I know I do! Abuela let's get our grub on!

Was greeted and told to sit wherever I like. After getting my beer and waiting 30 mins or more I asked to have my food to go. Clearly there was some urgency on my part but the waitress took her time bringing my food and my check. There was only about 6 other people in the restaurant. Disturbing and confusing! Probably won't be back depending upon how my food tastes.

This place closes way too early. On a Friday, Saturday and Sunday they are opened till 9pm. Most restaurants on a Friday open till 11 at least. Their overall food is good. The servers could show a little more enthusiasm and energy when you walk into the restaurant. The times I have walked in, they look like their sleepy.

The food here is good. But the service is horrible. I just had to walk out after being ignored for 10 minutes after sitting down. The girls here won't serve you unless you are a male. It took over ten minutes for anyone to even greet us and then the two ladies working decided to stand behind the register and chat instead of brining water to the table. Just wasted my time even stopping here.

We ended up here by chance as the Thai restaurant a few doors down was closed. It was awesome!!! I had the chicken with cilantro sauce. Juicy and delicious. Our server was a beautiful young girl who was patient with us as we had never tried Colombian food before. She described each dish well in her broken english. The booths were roomy and clean. I ignored the bullet hole in our window while listening to a live musician that was stationed by the entrance. We took home a bag of arepas and empanadas which came with their delicious Aji sauce. We had a great meal for a reasonable price and can't wait to return.

Service is extremely slow. Was told to sit anywhere and the waitress comes over 10 minutes later. I'm sitting here waiting for order, while typing this review up... Smh !

The best Colombian restaurant... I drive from Pembroke Pines to eat here... they have excellent empanadas, arepas, fresh juices all of them just like my grandmother used to make and they give you as much aji as you like for the empanadas... unlike most other places... When my mother is in town she always wants to eat here. One of the employees Juan Tabares is exceptional, he goes above and beyond to help you with your order... Just a complete pleasure to have someone as attentive as he is. He should be the manager. I highly recommend this place if you want to eat quality Colombian food.

I was on my way to my doctor's appointment when I saw El Balcon. I love comida colombiana so I made a mental note to stop by this place on my way home from my appointment. It is a fairly large restaurant with lots of Colombian flair. I ordered my usual bandeja paisa with the Colombian sausage. I took it home to share with my hubby. The chicharron was super crispy and chewy, just like I like it. The steak was a little flat for me though. It was dry and didn't have enough seasoning. The sausage was delish and so were the beans. The egg was also a little overcooked for me, but that's not a huge issue. All in all, I definitely would come back here when I have a hankerin' for some Colombian food. I just wish it were closer to home!

I plan to edit this review after my next visit, but so far it is very favorable. I really wanted to try some of my favorite antojitos, like fried green platanos, yuca, empanadas, chicharrones. Had the cazuela de mariscos, had the steak (not lomo salteado which is also on the menu) Value was good, service was good. Very genuine Columbian food. I'll go back again and report back with more photos, but I can definitely recommend.
