What time is it? BAGEL TIME. So lame, anyway, I just moved to the Margate area and was a little worried honestly about what kind of food would be in my new hood. Would there be any stellar places that I would be hooked on, or would I just drive to my old haunts for a tasty treat. Of course I trusted Yelp for help. The photos of this place sealed the deal... It's a diner first and foremost. It has A-typical diner signs with specials that run until certain times. Can I tell you that if you go before 11am you can get two eggs, choice of meat, potatoes AND a bagel for $2.99. Um, hello, what are you waiting for? The place wasn't really the cleanest, but honestly, I don't expect any diner to be clean. That's what gives them their charm. Dirty tables and floors, not so nice staff and delicious (read greasy) food. The staff here though were phenomenal. So friendly. The service was amazing. The food came out fast and fresh. I had absolutely nothing to complain about. Their bagels are amazing. Their rye bread is made fresh in their kitchen and probably is the best I've ever tasted. I wish I got their earlier enough to get a special, but I know I'll be back soon enough to try. As I looked around everything looked delicious. Burgers on bagels, large pancakes, my tasty omelet and even lox! I'm drooling just thinking about this place. It's a great spot for hearty breakfast and lunch food on a budget. Definitely give this place a try. You'll probably see me there when you go so feel free to say hello!

This is a good, cheap diner-ish place with lots of breakfast options. It was packed on a Sunday morning when we came in, but they get your food out pretty fast, so people came and went and seating was available quickly. They felt a little understaffed, and our poor waitress seemed to have too many tables to tend to. Nonetheless, she was still nice and trying her best to be attentive with all the chaos. The bagels here are just OK - they are a solid bagel, not much different than any other place. Their home-cooked, super yummy food is what is good here. And it's cheap! I got 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, home fries, and a bagel and cream cheese for 4.99. It's crazy. The eggs were yummy (cooked like some of my fave places back home), the bacon was super crispy and hot, and the home fries were cooked in delicious butter and seasoned salt and were soft and slightly crispy in the smaller bits. They were delicious. My husband got an egg-le, a bagel, egg, and cheese sandwich with bacon, and it was really good. Their bagels are solid, and hold up best on a sandwich, not really on their own, like I said above. We were able to get breakfast for a great price and be served fairly quickly considering how busy it was. Definitely worth stopping in for a quick, old fashioned breakfast.

This is my favorite breakfast place the menu is always good and the specials are great. They have great bagels that are fresh and big. Cream cheese is made there. The homemade muffins are really good asked to get it grilled. If your looking for some tasty rye bread ask, then take a fresh loaf home. And yes it's made fresh. I've been coming to this place for a few years it's always consistent and the staff is friendly. It truly is a hidden gem in the City of Margate.

I have been going to this restaurant on and off for about 15 years. I visited it today and cannot believe how much it had changed. The food was simply awful. It took forever to get the check. I also ordered my son a kid's hot dog to go (he was home). When I went to the cashier to check on my to go order, I was told that they do not allow "kids" orders to go." I was told that "there is no way to prove it is for a kid." Seriously? I could not believe she just said that. Glad to hear other family friendly restaurants have a trust factor with their patrons. Can you imagine Olive Garden, Pancake House, and even McDonald's not letting you get a kid's meal to go. Very petty. Sad to see a restaurant go downhill that way. Definitely stay away from this one! Bad food, bad owner.

I worry about people in this state they have no "at the door rating system" for restaurants and they will eat in any pig stigh that will sell them food. Wise up people it is your health and in some cases your life read the state restaurant inspections and the inspectors notes. The only thing worse than this place is a Chinese restaurant.

Perfect spot for a quick and fresh breakfast. Very reasonable prices, friendly wait staff and the bagels are fantastic. Much better quality food and overall experience than any of the breakfast chains in the area.

Really gross, old food. Walked in at 8am (30mins after opening) and was served old food. The food came out 5 minutes after ordering. I had hashbrowns, an omelet, and bagel. The bagel was delicious, but the other food looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The only redeeming part about the visit was that the waitress was very nice and helpful.

Awesome fluffy omelets, great home fries, decent bagel and a good cup of coffee for two for $15. Can't beat that! We will be back to try more of their menu offerings. I had the bacon and tomato omelet and it's was very tasty. It was very moist and had I remembered I would've added cheese. All in all a great meal!

This was a great little breakfast place. We were able to sit down right away and our server was really friendly. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, I wanted a half order but they don't offer it which was fine. I assumed it would be sausage crazy, but it was actually sawmill gravy. I probably should have asked before I ordered it. My husband ordered the country fried steak, eggs, home fries, and a bagel. He was really satisfied with his meal and the price was definitely right. I saw on a sign that they have even better deals during the week. I think it was $2.99 for two eggs, home fries, and a bagel on weekdays. This is a solid breakfast place to add to our lineup.

So, me and my boyfriend walked in, tables were messy... It seemed like they were short of staff. But we sat down anyways, nobody spoke to us or greeted us for about 5 min. So we left. We just weren't feeling good energy from there.

I am so glad I found this place. My wife is Italian and extremely picky about whatever she eats. It has to always have flavor. It has been consistently good and I can't believe how low the prices are. I don't know how most bagel times are but this one excellent and I would definitely recommend if you are near Margate.

Fantastic breakfast place. Would have never stopped in here if there weren't such great reviews on here, and they were spot on. Insanely low prices, deliciously simple food, and great service. I'm not sure what coffee they brew here, but it's bottomless and wonderful. Don't be fooled by the simple exterior (and interior) and low prices. This is a great place for a weekend breakfast.

We came to visit from New Jersey and my mother in law took us here. They have the best home fries I have ever had!! Great breakfast spot with a very friendly staff!

This place is a time warp. Especially the prices - you can have a full breakfast for $4, though you have to get there before 11 a.m. The food is decent - fabulous for the prices. The waitresses are a bit gruff, and there is a strange sign telling all customers who are coming for take out that they are not permitted to sit at any of the tables while they are waiting for their orders. No rationale for that one...

Good local bagel place with very good NY bagels. Weekends can be crazy if you go after 10 am, but the servers have been here for years and most of them are pleasant and always remember you, even if it's been a long time between visits. The breakfast is good...2 eggs any way, 2 meats (sauasage/ham/bacon), homefries or tomato or grits or oatmeal, plus a bagel (they have about 10 flavors) is only $4.59 until 11 am (7 days a week). The owner is "Moose" and the motif is all moose related. The French toast s too sweet for me, but the omlettes are good. The prices are reasonable, and givien the fact there are over 15 bagel joints within a 2 mile radius, this is one of the best for simple, plain, good cooked breakfast. It's a favorite with regulars and sure beats a chain by miles.

if you want a quite little breakfast stop with some character this is the spot for you. You wont find a wifi spot here, or flavored coffees... What you will find is a nice inviting staff some pretty good lox for your bagel and an overall good exp.

Great food and service, the staff is very nice and so was the owner! I had the pancakes w/ sausage and my associate had eggs with sausage. A lot of regulars come here, hope to be next!

I've been coming here ever since I lived in Margate, just a little breakfast diner in the neighborhood. The decor and the whole inside is old and sad looking, could definitely use an update (I won't lie, kind of looks a little dirty). Breakfast specials are all under 4.99 but most of them are Monday thru Friday. They also have weekend specials, too. Now here's the thing: the food is a hit or miss. Sometimes its hot and fresh, other times I am unable to tell if they served me old/dead food lying in the window. Hit or miss kind of diner.

A "Jewish" diner in Margate - who knew?! We were looking for breakfast outside of the chains and fast food joints and something close to where we were and yelp found us this place. They have a large and varied menu - lots of Jewish dishes-corned beef hash, matzo ball soup, knishes, bagels, bialys - good stuff! We went for breakfast and had a bagel cheese and sausage sandwich and a veggie scramble - very basic but we enjoyed everything and would come back. The bagels and bialys were great. Also very friendly staff. I would recommend, BUT keep in mind this is a hole in the wall kind of place, so come here for cheap, easy, quick, solid American eats - expect anything more than this and you will be disappointed! Enjoy!

First Time Here! The first thing you notice is it isn't fancy. Sort of like the neighborhood cafes you find in yes, every neighborhood...not in the downtown business district (unless you are in NYC, then yes, it is just like those). The service was not lightning speed... but then again, it was much faster than the NYC eateries (unless it is the breakfast or lunch rush). The waitresses were pleasant and smiling which I do appreciate. They were accurate and the food arrived warm. The eggs and rye toast were good and just as ordered. The only thing that kept the cafe from 5 stars was the ham. It was good but cut from a "block" and not bone in ham. They didn't say which ham I would get and I didn't ask. Simply, I prefer bone in ham steaks. Enjoyable, affordable and they left us alone to talk while continually filling the coffee cups... without being summoned. Yes, I will go there, again.
