After being disappointed by so many restaurants on Marco Island, we decided to take a chance on this place. We came for lunch and there wasn't really a crowd. We could sit inside or outside. We decided to sit inside, but it's pretty hot because the bar is all open to the outside. People in our party ordered the Reuben sandwich, fried grouper and pizza. Everything was excellent. The corned beef on the Reuben was very fresh, the grouper was lightly breaded and perfectly fried, and the pizza had fresh mushrooms on it. We are remembering this place for the next time we visit Marco Island. We have a lot of picky eaters with us so our recommendation is worth a lot.
(5)Frank D.
Place was horrible!!! Grouper itself was good but stuffing was salty; black bean soup was salty; stuffed lobster was salty - pretty much everything but the beer and water was salty - if you like salty food, this is your place. I would pass on this place if your in Marco Island. Try something else.
(1)Dave T.
3 stars is about right. Great atmosphere and lots of good beers on tap, but stick with the pizza. Had the ribeye, which they claim on their menu is their specialty, but it was mediocre at best. Pizza was terrific. Had a party of 8 and was looking to pay partially in cash with the balance on a card, but our waitress Alex couldn't grasp the concept.

This place was really good! My fellow yelper Melissa C recommended this place to me on our recent mini getaway to Marco. There's TV's everywhere for the sports lovers, and a good selection of domestic and craft beers. The staff was super friendly, and the food was good as well. I opted for the Mahi caesar salad and it was delicious! We also had the wings, and calamari. They also have a fireball sauce they make on house which was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy! I would definitely recommend sharing as well since the portions are generous. The manager also gave our group a complimentary fire ball shot which i thought was very sweet! Thank you Marco brewery we'll definitely be back soon!

Food experience was great. I had their shrimp and crab stuffed grouper, which is their number 1 seller. Their house brews are good. And they have 40 beers on tap. Service was great. No complaints at all other than it being a little warm since they have it kind of open outdoorsy. But I'd definitely come back.

I was extremely pleased with my visit this evening to the Marco Island Brewery. I have no complaints about anything. Our server, Sam was one of the sweetest, most helpful and obliging waitresses I have ever had on Marco Island ...and that includes 5 star restaurants I've dined in. I had the kielbasa dinner and my boyfriend had the ribs. Both were excellent, hearty and ample portions. My kids ordered mac and cheese and chicken fingers and they loved it. I love local breweries. Their red ale is phenomenal. This place has really improved their menu since I've been here last. Definitely worth a visit and I can't wait to come back. I will ask specifically for Sam. She is the best.
(4)Angel R.
LOVELY assortment of beer choices on tap... that gave it the 2 stars. Now the rest: $1.50 per sample, even if I buy the beer after the taste? ridiculous. Oh and BTW. selling advertisement space on your glasses? Silverware filthy. Send back cold soggy food twice. Came back over microwaved. Employees standing around chatting most of the time with maybe 1 person actually working. Dirty broken tables and booths falling apart. Strange transactions happening in the back office every few minutes with what looked like non-employees. Still recovering from perhaps food poisoning.
(2)Danielle B.
Food was delicious a little steep on prices compared to portion size and 1.50 to sample a beer was a little obnoxious. But overall an okay place to try on a rainy Tuesday
(3)Carie G.
Mahi Mahi sandwich was fish on a roll. Luckily they had a good tarter sauce- because it would have been bad. Fish tacos were good and our kids had burgers and gobbled them down. We had to move outside to the 'non smoking' section because when seated inside, smoke from the 'smoking section- outside' was coming inside the building and the whole inside smelled pretty strong like smoke. The bar area was open to the outside and the smoke was coming into the restaurant. All in all- ok.
(3)Pattie P.
Food is pretty good but way over priced. The beers are expensive too. The bartenders seem ice enough but the wait staff are horrible. The girl we had was more concerned with chatting with her friend then help us.
(3)Jack S.
One of the few places on Marco you may find a crowd younger than 50. Come here for a nice taste of the island way of life. Nice open air seating available located with a view (of the parking lot. :/) Nice happy hour specials on shots... I was pleasantly surprised they had Buffalo Trace bourbon as most places around here give you a confused look when it's requested. The food is decent for bar fare and reasonably priced. Service is hit or miss.
(4)Joel A.
Cool spot. I had the bbq pizza. I ate the bbq pizza and forever I knew my life would be changed. I bit into a cheesy, bacony, barbecuey explosion. My endorphins instantly skyrocketed as I knew this pizza would be the life changer. The bbq pizza was washed down by the house ipa "The Rock" and did I feel manly like the pro wrestler after quenching my thirst with this hoppy beer. If you're on the island stop by and indulge on your own adventure here!

Was a bit surprised by the bad reviews on Yelp but decided to come in anyway. To start we did NOT visit in season which I suspect has a lot to do with service complaints in previous posts. Service was top notch during our visit with frequent passes by the waiter and bus boy to make sure we were okay. Most people will sit outside and watch the multiple TV screens although this is the formal smoking section. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer which was very good. The rings were soft and tender and cooked to order. I ordered the grouper fish tacos and my wife the Mahi Cesaers salad. Both featured generous portions of fresh fish, my grouper was breaded, the Mahi was blackened. Excellent house tartar sauce made the tacos taste awesome. Wide selection of craft beers, a bit pricey but in line for a tourist type locale. Overall, very satisfied and will return.
(4)Steven I.
The service is terrible, everyone's orders were wrong, all the food was soggy. The bad food isn't worth the crapppy service. Do not eat here!
(1)Adam G.
Food was decent but over priced. Kids food came and 20 minutes later adults food came an kids were done and ready to go. Smoking allowed outside and there is an inside/outside bar so the smoke blows insidepretty bad. Waiter didn't stop by for a while so I walked to bar to get drinks. He came back and apologized and gave those on the house. All in all decent experience may try it out again
(3)Dick N.
Loud. Fries are huge and cheap. Burgers are huge, not cheap. I don't drink, but everyone else does

I mean. OK. It wasn't bad, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to head back here. We spend some time on Marco every year and this was our first time at the Marco Island Brewery. The in-house beer wasn't bad. The happy hour specials were nice. The grapefruit weiss beer that I had was really tasty. But the food left a lot to be desired. And the service was meh. We ordered nachos, calamari and a couple of pizzas. The nachos were HUGE, so that was a pretty good bargin. Unfortunately, the chili on the nachos had a weird flavor that wasn't my favorite. The chips were stale and not tasty at all. The other toppings were decent, but nothing to to write home about. The calamari wasn't special. Just rings, no baby squid shapes. The flavor was simple. It's hard to mess up fried stuff, so they were fine. The pizzas...OK, so I'm from Chicago. Pizza capital of the world. I'm learning that it's really hard for me to eat pizza anywhere else. The sauce and toppings were alright. The crust was soggy and not delicious. Which was sad, because it could have been a decent/ok pizza. Our server seemed disinterested and mostly upset that we had chosen a table outside. Hello, from Chicago. Home of the Polar Vortex. During the Polar Vortex. 70 degrees=eat outside and enjoy the sun as long as possible. Oh well. The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant looked nice inside and out. Lots of TVs playing sports and such. There's always that. :)
(2)Andy S.
we heard bad things about this place but we loved it. Perfect for the younger crowd on marco island. I'm a beer nut and their brews were sold. A good IPA and an excellent pilsner. Lots of flavor in a lighter beer (that's hard to do!). Did not eat there but the food looked good. I almost got my fiance to let me get pizza. A beautiful bar but half of the bar is outside and some smoke gets back in. Opt for a table or high boy if your sensitive to smoke.
(5)Tony F.
Wife and I found this place after a wrong turn into a strip mall. We decided to try it for dinner and we're glad we did. We both had burgers and they were great. The meat wasn't too salty and they were cooked exactly as ordered (med and med well). The toasted bun was perfectly toasted and very fresh. The homemade onion rings are worth going back for. The coleslaw was a little dry for my taste. Best beer selection on the island too. Better than expected food for a sports bar and friendly staff.
(4)Todd P.
Flys flys flys, inside the restaurant. My son had the flatbread pizza and he gives it a three. I tried it and the sauce tastes like canned ragu. I had the ny strip. It was ok. My wife had the mahi mahi special. Again she thought it was just ok nothing special. It was in a bed of Cesar salad, she didn't care for the salad. They have a bowling game that was nice for the kids. Would like to stop back without the kids to try a couple of their home brewed beers and enjoy happy hour.

I can't really say anything about this place that hasn't been said by other reviewers. It was just meh. Service was bad, to start with---and it was slow, no excuse. The bartender who started helping us was at the end of her shift, and made it apparent that she had zero fucks to give about helping anyone else. Case in point, I asked what their house beers were, and her response (as she walked away, back to her phone) was, "A pilsner, an ale, and an IPA." Um, ok. I'm not super knowledgeable about beer, but apparently I'm spoiled by the Indianapolis breweries (and their employees) who like talking about beer and detailing what goes into it. And, frankly, there's not much to talk about with their beer. I had the pilsner, husband had the IPA. Neither of them tasted like anything, but again---we're spoiled by the excellent craft beer crew in Indy, I guess. The only thing that made this visit worthwhile was the food. I thoroughly enjoyed my turkey reuben and husband really liked his tuna tacos. Would I go back just for the food? Nah. At least the bartender coming in for the night was friendlier, but still... Bottom line: skip it.
(2)Heather L.
Food was gross and gave my entire family stomach aches!! I had a turkey club and it was soggy and disgusting. How do you mess up a turkey sandwich?
(1)Jen Z.
Ambiance is good for sports but that's where it ends. Our servers (outside) were beyond RUDE to the point where after 4 hours of drinks and food ($300 worth) I was so disgusted with how we were treated by TWO servers we vow never to go back (we visit the island several times a year for ten plus years.) The bathrooms are also beyond gross, my three year old noticed and commented) and the entire restaurant is in need of a good scrub down. Does the health department exist in Marco? If so, they need to make a visit. Pass!
(2)Beverly W.
Loved this place. After looking for a few restaurants that were really hard to locate in a mall. We asked locals (over 60) where a restaurant was and gave us the wrong directions, we had it! Finally stumbled onto and not expecting much. The indoor area is very outdated. We had a very nice server, Deb S. I ended up with Mahi sandwich which was reasonable, awesome & one of the best sandwiches ever. Large portion, cooked correctly as fish goes. We are fish coinsurers and couldn't be more happier. My husband had the peel and eat shrimp and was very happy with it, though he wished he would have ordered the mahi after seeing my sandwich. Would go back if in area.
(5)Carol D.
The food was good, I had the wild caught grouper, but the service was horrible. They didn't bring our sides and I had to go find the hostess to get it resolved. We were half way done with our meal before it showed up. I love beer, and would have happily drank a couple, if only I had been asked. I decided not to go track down the hostess to get served. Bottom line, the food was not That good to put up with the horrible service.
(1)Tess M.
Great service, two house brewed beers that were both pretty tasty - the Rock and Tigertail Red Ale. Tons of beers on tap and knowledgeable service. Bruschetta and nachos were okay, but not what to come here for. No prices on the beer list is suspicious.

We had to decide quickly where we were eating lunch as the sky was about to pour buckets on us...and the choice was the Marco Island Brewery. As we pulled up I had no idea what I wanted, but I checked the reviews and decided not to go with anything that wasn't going to be fresh fish (not a big fan of eating bulk farm raised fish that isn't fresh). Anyway... We actually had an absolutely great lunch. My daughter started with an order of steamed clams in a wine and garlic broth-perfectly cooked, lot's of them and delicious! The broth was so good I wouldn't let the waiter take it away, I used it to dip my my Brewhouse Dip (think French Dip) and tater tots in along with the au jus. If I could mkae a broth like that to put steamers in I might ONLY eat steamers for the rest of my life. My wife ordered the Ahi tuna tacos and had a simple one word description...WOW. Plentiful, fresh, and the toppings and salsa made her want to come back. My daughter (yes the one who ordered the clams) was starving so she ordered the shrimp basket with fries AND a side Caesar salad...and other than one taste of one shrimp and a couple fries-I got nothing. She ate the whole thing. Damn her metabolism! My son ordered the meatball parm with onion rings. The rings were delicious (we split the rings and my tater tots) and weren't overly battered. The sandwich was just ok. Not bad at all, but coming from Jersey, I mean c'mon, are they going to make a better meatball parm than I can get at home? No way. Since it was a brewhouse, I tried their homemade Red Ale and it was good. I was hoping for a bolder flavor and something ice cold, but it was just ok. I'd order it again as I tend to drink local or microbrews over commercial beers if I can get them. I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars if Yelp would let us do so, but three is too low so I'll round UP this time and give them the 4th star. Thank You Marco Island Brewery for the good food and for keeping us dry during the worst thunderstorm I've been in in years...even if it was only a short-lived one.
(4)A S.
Pretty 'run of the mill' place. Food was ok but nothing to make me want to go back soon. Lots of beer to choose from. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted a table or a booth. When we chose a booth we were told to go and help ourselves but the first one we went to was absolutely filthy so we moved onto another one. This one was clean but very sticky and rocked constantly. A little more cleanliness wouldn't go amiss.
(3)Rob E.
This place is a brewery in the sense that they have 3 house brewed beers - a lager, a red, and an IPA. Tried a flight with the 4th beer being Kona brown. I suppose the house beers were OK. This place is a brewery just like Chilli's is a BBQ spot. I honestly had higher hopes for beer here as it is the only brewery on the island. Anyways, there is a good beer selection, especially of AB-InBev products. Food: quite enjoyed the food we had. Spouse that the rodeo burger (good spice, flame broiled patty) and I had the ahi tacos. Tacos were awesome! Ahi was seared and had slaw below it on a house made tortilla. We also had the firecracker shrimp. Deep fried shrimp tossed in a sweet chilli sauce. All in all I liked it here, just wish it lived up to its name.
(3)Pam C.
I have gone here to drink and eat, and I must say the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. BUT--the food leaves a lot to be desired. I keep trying different dishes, but to no avail. Really they need to change up the menu or get a better cook. Sorry, but the food is not great.
(2)Beth T.
Kelly was our server and his knowledge of beers and food was excellent. His recommendations were spot on. The selection of craft beer is extensive. Had a blast!
(5)Larry N.
Nice atmosphere, good for watching sports with all the TV'S, great food BUT......... Horrible service. Waitress was no where to be found after she took our order. Had to track her down. Asked for additional dressing but was told by the food runner "if I have time, ask your waitress". We told him that we can't find her and he told us "sorry".
(2)Patrisha S.
We waited 25 minuts te be waited on after we sat down. The hostes didnt even tell any one that we were seated and we had to flag someone down. When we got a server we got our drinks but they never refilled them. When we finally got our food it was mediocre-okay but it didn't blow me away. Not impressed.
(2)Michelle H.
I came here on a whim looking for the browns game... Sadly I found it and watched them embarrass me... However, this place is so fun! They have a ton of TVs, indoor and outdoor seating to watch their variety of games, and good food! We had nachos and beer and both were very good! Our server was attentive and such a fun girl!!!! We returned for the Ohio state game and had some wings! Their wings are huge. HUGE! Their BBQ sauce is sweet baby rays and was really good... Although a bit too sweet for my personal taste... We had no complaints! Had a blast watching football, hanging out in a fun environment, and enjoying good food and beer!
(4)Brian S.
Prime rib was expertly cooked and the staff very friendly. Great value for the money.
(5)Gene H.
Our server Johnathan was awesome. The ahi ahi tuna, mahi mahi, grouper and lobster ravioli were great. Definitely coming back.
(5)Kimberly Z.
Our whole family enjoyed this place! Between the five of us, we had the pizza, seafood and sandwiches and no one was disappointed. We were originally heading to a restaurant down the street (crazy flamingo) but there wash a fishy smell coming from there so we kept walking and we were glad we did! Service, food and beer ware all up to our high standards.

On vacation and looking for a casual place for dinner with the family. We caught the tail end of the dinner rush at 7 pm and did not have to wait too long. The hostess found us a high table at the bar which must have been in the smoking section based on the strong smell of cigarette smoke. Fortunately my wife saw an empty booth in the dining area and we were able to be seated in the "smells less like smoke" area. except for the wide screen TVs showing a move on TNT which showed bodies falling out of a van as we were seated instead of the sports that I would have expected. The decor was bit outdated and the overall cleanliness was slightly better than unacceptable. Now on to the food. The beer was fresh as I would have expected for a beer works, although the choices of local beers was limited. The menus were not clean and this is a pet peave of mine especially when I think about why they may not be clean. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and received a soggy mess of chips, cheese whiz, and other toppings. It was difficult the scoop the toppings with the soggy chips. Our server was friendly and helpful. We ordered a burger, grouper sandwich and chicken sandwich. They arrived quickly and except for the fries and tater tots, the soggy theme continued. The fries and tater tots were crispy and coveted at the table. I ordered the onion rings and I usually hog them to myself but could not give them away on this night. The sandwiches were messy and it proved to be challenging to keep the sandwich together while eating. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their experience and having a good time. Since the restaurant was full of seemingly happy people and the quality of food has not improved since our last visit two years ago, I am thinking that my expectations may have been too high as compared to similar restaurants elsewhere in the country.
(3)Sarah C.
Portions were small - flies buzzing around. Salad was inedible...the lettuce was rotten in several spots. We would've ordered more adventurously, but with the heavy "fishy" smell, we went with deep fried just so no one got sick later. Won't be back.
(2)Eames E.
i see the bartender from here at the local YMCA and he's a mega hunk so 5 stars nothing less for mega hunks (im straight)
(5)Sal C.
went with another couple food marginal but the waiter Kelly(male) made it worse he was not helpful at all (he hated American food). I can't in good conscious recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
(1)Rob D.
Ok, let me use this as a Public Service announcement to yelpers in the area. Go to McDonalds instead. This place was just disgusting. The burger was MEH at best, nothing special. The highly talked up cheese sauce by the waitress for the fries? Easy Cheese. The onion on our burger had a dead gnat right on top of it. The Cobb Salad? The lettuce so obviously from a bag, it had that off taste of preservatives. Our waitress totally talked up the pumpkin spice beer. Disgusting. Undrinkable. So bitter and terrible. Go here if you want to order beer and watch tv, that's it. For better food go anywhere else.
(1)Jenna J.
The Good: The restaurant was clean and had two nice options for seating. We chose to sit outside, because the weather was so beautiful. Our server was a bit frazzled, but he was very polite and attentive. They had a nice selection of beers, as well as beers brewed on site. If you were here to watch football, there are plenty of TVs. I used the restroom and it was clean. The Bad: The food was lacking. I ordered the Rodeo Burger with house made chips. My burger was cooked to order, but I questioned if there was cheese actually on it until I saw a glimpse of some translucent something. The sauce that should have been on the burger wasn't there.
(4)Mark N.
If I were coming here for dinner I would give it 3 stars, 4 stars to have a drink and watch the game. No question this is one of the best places to watch sports on the island. Tons of TV's, bar seating and a cool bar that opens up to the outside with plenty of patio seating. We came here for dinner and since their website wasn't working to check the menu, I was hoping for more than just bar food. Surprisingly the menu was rather extensive. The usual bar type stuff with some high dollar fish and steak items too. We started with the chips, guac and salsa. Nothin special there, just somethin to snack on. I opted for the mahi mahi special with rice and veggies. The mahi was clearly shipped in frozen and very over cooked. It also had a layer of red and green chilis on top that seemed out of place. Mom had the chicken sandwich which tasted good and dad had the burger which elicited an "ok". Our server was very attentive. In addition the beer and wine selection is very good for the area. For these reasons I would recommend the brewery as a great place to watch a game and have a few drinks. Though I would stick to the low brow food options
(4)Sean O.
The service was not very good if you roll in for a late night dinner. Our party of 7 did not have a great experience. Music was good high schoolers were prevalent. I'd rather stick my Richard into a meat grinder than eat at the Marco Island Brewery. Stay in the sunshine!
(1)Joe C.
The food was just ok. Our server did a great job but we were there for the food not atmosphere and was a bit of a let down. The calamari was like chewing on a rubber band. Won't be going back.
(3)Matt B.
I haven't written a review in a while, well since moving to Marco Island two years ago but I feel obliged to after my recent experience at Marco Island Brewery. This is the first time I have eaten here since moving to the island. I typically don't go to restaurants during season so this was the perfect time to go. the small crowed seemed in good spirits and I was ready for a good beer and some good food. First the good: I sit down at their very expansive bar area in front of the many TVs and am immediately greeted by a friendly bartender who promptly asked what I wanted. They have a decent selection of beers on tap as well as their own brewed selection. Normally when I go to a microbrewery I want to taste their wares but this time I noticed that they had 312 on tap and being a Chicago transplant, I had to have it. it was the first place I have seen on the island that had Goose Island beers. It was promptly and courtesy server to me at which time I gave my food order. What could possibly go better than a cold wheat beer than a cheese burger and fries. I make my order, Cheese burger, medium with cheddar, and a side of fries. I received the dish within about 10 minutes (albeit delivered to the wrong patron initially). The bad: What I received was a well done burger on a stale bun. The "cheese" was a single, thin square of translucent what I could only imagine was cheddar since I couldn't actually taste it. The meat itself was of ample size but dry as a bone due to it being WAY overcooked, which was only outdone by the dryness of the toasted bread. I bit into it and could barely swallow the flavorless, dry, sad little burger. I took another bite to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I wasn't. This was literally the worst burger I have ever eaten, anywhere. And I have eaten some really bad 3AM burgers. The fries were the icing on the cake. Served at a temperature that rivals the surface of the sun, I had to wait to eat them. So there I am, looking at this sad little burger, while my fries cooled feeling sorry for the cow that this was made from. The fries finally cooled after a couple minutes and immediately I could taste the salt. Not the salt they were coated in but the salt from what I could only imagine was a week long brine bath they soaked in. I had two fries, just to make sure, and that was all I could manage. I can count the number of times on one hand that I have sent food back, and this was one of them. Back to the good: The bartender immediately recognized what was going on. Apologized left and right, offered me several other alternatives which I thanked him and turned down. I was comped the food, paid for my 312 with tip and left, not hungry anymore and a little sad. The verdict: Seems like a good place to hang out with some friends over a few beers. The staff was courteous and prompt. Based on my experience, I would avoid the food, at least the burger.
(2)Carlos P.
Nice little bar/brewery. Looks like they offer different season brews, when I was visiting, they had a hefeweisen (one of my favorites). Clean atmosphere, TV's all over the place, billiards table, good beer, no complaints.
(4)Katie T.
The food was excellent - fish tacos and rodeo burger. The service was just ok and the restaurant was dirty. We got a highchair and had to use a washcloth to wipe it down ourselves. The dirt on the chair almost made us leave, but the food was suprisingly above par for what we were expecting.

We recently dined at the M.I. Brewery during our vacation. The warning signs began fairly early on here. We asked the waitress if the shrimp used in one of the dishes were local Gulf shrimp. Her response was, "I don't know, I think so". More flags went up as reviewed the menu. Most of the seafood dishes simply listed "whitefish" as the type of fish in the dish. I asked the waitress what kind of fish were they using as the whitefish. It turned out to be Swai. This is a freshwater farm fish that is usually imported from Southeast Asia and wholesales for two or three George Washington's per pound. If you are reading this you probably know that Marco Island is a fisherman's paradise with some of the best tasting fish in the world in the local waters. It seems very odd to me that any restaurant in this region wouldn't be using the incredible seafood on the doorstep. Since the restaurant is also a brewery (although brewing equipment appeared to be onsite) I decided to try the sampler of the four house brews that were currently being served. I don't claim to be a beer expert but I think I know more about beer types than the average person and I prefer stronger flavor "craft" beers over the commercial giants. Of the four beers I tasted only one tasted good and only two had flavor profiles that matched the type of beer that it was supposed to be. For example, the I.P.A. had very little hop character and was more sweet than bitter. As for the rest of the meal, it was bad, the food and the service. I really don't want to spend any more time writing about this restaurant because Marco offers so many great places to choose from. I recommend going to one of them.

This is a great place for good drinks, food and entertainment on the island. Definitely more of an 'upscale' place compared to other places you'll find around town. Food is excellent. I've had the bbq chicken flatbread - the fish tacos - a burger - and some other items. It's all great. You get a lot of food and the quality is excellent. Be sure to get the tater tots with cheese!!! They also have amazing desserts. I feel like most places skimp out on the dessert menu - but not here! The drinks are great - including the micro brew. There are a lot of tv's - so you won't miss any sports event. There's great indoor and outdoor seating. There is also a game room with pool and video games - so it's great to bring the kids to as well!

Just had pizza which was average. Not a lot of taste and the cheese was a little runny.. Don't get me wrong we are it all but nothing great about it. It's a nice bar and seemed like a good place to watch a game. I didn't like that the men's restroom had no paper towels and you have to grab 2 door handles to get out of the restroom. Then try to go back to your table and eat. Just glad I had long sleeves on to grab the doors with

I can't compare this restaurant to anything else on the island as it was the only place I ate at during our short stay. However, on the night I went it was exactly what I wanted: a place to get some decent food, some beers, and a place to watch the game. Food was standard bar fare. Beer was cold, not a lot of craft options. No cigar city?? Plenty of TVs and the manager was accommodating putting on the game you want. I don't think this place is actually a "brewery" though. My suspicion is the beer production is outsourced in some capacity. Place is too small to be a brewpub. Only two taps worth of "their" beers, which was strange. Tried their red ale, it was fine. Wasn't really a true red ale in taste and appearance. It had a taste of coconut on the finish which was unusual. If you're in the area looking for a sports bar, go for it

Really liked the amount of TVs and the marg pizza. Wasnt overly impressed with the clams because they were tiny and to few. Wish that they had more on tap instead of in bottles. Very good service but no recommendations and seemed like they wanted tourists to leave. Over all positive experience but not as good as i wanted it to be

Nice place. Their Happy Hour (from 4-6pm) was a very good deal with house brews for only about $3 for a stein! $5 appetizers a and $6 for the firecracker shrimp which was very good. If recommend it. Low key place, but it still seems like it's trying to start up. I'd go again.

Just a watering hole. I do mean hole. I am a local here and have tried it here a couple of times and will not go back. The food is a joke and a waste of money and time. I will always give a restaurant a second chance. I did give this place a second chance about a year apart. It still is really bad.

Didn't have the food, came over for one drink and that was enough to win a 1-star rating. I loved the idea of having a brewery on the island and was anxious to try the microbrews. I rolled up to the outside bar with my friend and we ordered two of their Reds. There was no head whatsoever on the beer and it smelled very sweet, like unfermented beer smells. I tasted the beer and sure enough, way too sweet to be fermented. I kindly asked the hostess/waitress if we could have a different beer as this beer seemed to be flat. She actually told us that no one likes the Red Ale. So she has the bartender pour us a 312 instead, with a lot of attitude as well. We were basically ignored the rest of the time there and never checked up on. We had to flag someone down to get the tab and left no tip as I feel the service warranted no tip. As we were walking away the bartender yells from the bar, "Thanks for the tip! NOT!". We immediately ask to see the manager on staff which was pointless. Long story short, bad brews, bad service.

Good food, good prices and fun atmosphere. Very kid friendly. We all enjoyed our food.

Just stopped in for beers, no food this time. Kala was calling last call, but still set us up with a couple Marco Island Brewery IPAs... delicious. Great service, cool atmosphere, clean and good beer selection.

We had nothing but fun here! First of all, though, we had to find it. The address leads to the Publix parking lot but the brewery is actually around the corner in the strip mall. This actually worked in our favor, because we sat outside on the covered sidewalk, and traffic wasn't distracting or horrible. Our waitress was cute, spunky, and most of all a good server. We had a flight of beer, which was fine. Not the best microbrew I've had - all were definitely on the bitter side. But they were still good. We started with an order of onion rings and tots covered in cheese and bacon. I had the whitefish sandwich, which is literally just a piece of whitefish on a bun... wish they would have added the option of condiments (lettuce, etc). The rest of the food our group ordered was fantastic though, great bar food!

This is definitely a place for the locals, and packed on Sundays for the football games. It has a ton of TV's and has a fun vibe so worth the Sunday trip to watch the game. The food is consistently good, but not great. They have good wings, and the salads are actually pretty fresh. My husband got the rodeo burger though, and it came out without the sauce or cheese and I requested no olives on my salad and it came covered in them. This brings me to my next point, bad service. We put in an appetizer order and our waitress never came back to take our lunch order until long after we finished our app. So when are food came out wrong we were frustrated to have to wait any longer to eat. Unfortunately the service has been poor every time we've gone. The wait staff always seems frazzled and forgetful. We will go back for the ambience, but if you go plan on being patient because it's always slow going...even during slow afternoon hours we always wait.

We stopped in for a beer one afternoon. Loved their happy hour special, 22 oz beer for $3 and change! Their hefeweizen was pretty good. Not as good as some of our local hefeweizen brews in St. Louis, but you can't knock them since it was only $3. The nachos were OK, but overpriced for $7.

Great place to chill inside and outside. Pool tables and TV's. Ok to bring your dog. Only a couple vegetarian options on menu. The pasta primavera is tasteless and loaded with olive oil.

We started coming here when it first opened on our annually trip to Marco Island. First couple times were great. However, the last couple have progressively gotten worse. Now the food is almost not edible and it feels very dirty. We will not be back.

Good bar food and then some!! The beer was cold, and our salads were crisp. Two of us had the lobster tail and it was delicious! It was also reasonably priced. Two other friends split a Hawaiian pizza, and said it was really good also. Server, Nate, was efficient and funny. Try this place!! $$

Was excited to hear that a brewery opened up on Marco. The space is big...great outdoor patio and bar. However if you are not a smoker you wont want to go anywhere near the outdoor bar...when we were there the outside area probably had a good 15 people out there and all of them were smoking. We reluctantly sat inside on a beautiful night. Menu has a lot of options but something about the place did not make me trust that anything other than your standard bar food was worth trying. I was excited to try a couple of their micro brews starting with the IPA that was listed on their website. Unfortunately they only had 3 of their beers on tap at the time so i went with the Red. It was really bad...could not even finish it. The boneless buffalo wings were good. Thats all we ordered...ended up going elsewhere for dinner. I could definitely see hanging out at this place to play some pool or watch a game...but would not go to eat a meal or drink their beer. They have bottled beer...that would be the way to go. I know they have not been opened long...maybe their beer will get better.

Awesome place to watch sports games and yummy potato skins. They also have a few local beers! First time in Marco Island and first time here. I would definitely come back.

Micro brew beer: Less than average. Two of us had the Red Lager. Sweet and blah. Waiter: Annoying and authoritative. I don't know how many times he tried to tell me what to order. But once was too many. No one wanted the ribs. "But that's what makes them famous!" he said that. Really no less than 3 times. He also tried to tell my mother what to order for a drink. Seriously annoying. Two fish and chips. Terrible. Definitely fried food from a freezer. I could have gotten that for less at a chain restaurant. I got the cajun burger. Meh. It wasn't terrible. That is about the nicest thing I can say about it. We sat outside. If you like loud drunk old obnoxious retired policemen from the Northeast, who are now locals, this is the place for you! They not only knocked into my aunt, but my mother as well! Cause you know they can't stay seated at their table, they had to linger behind ours. Then instead of apologizing, they were like we might be drunk. I was like might be or are obnoxiously so? And no one said a thing to them. So let me save you the trouble. Do not waste your time nor money here. Try elsewhere. You'll be happier.

MahiMahi was recommended but was fair at best. Salmon was a reasonable portion but was over cooked (burnt). Salad and mashed potatoes very bland. Burger $10 was good but no fries, expected more for the price. Final thought is that it is an ok bar but the food over priced for the quality as compared to the other restaurants in the area. Will not return.

Went for lunch, we got the loaded nachos and it was a meal for two by itself. I had the white fish sandwich grilled& blackened and it was delicious! We also had the shrimp basket. Every thing was good and prices were fair for the area. They are busy at night, we drove past a few times and passed on going because of the smoking. Lunch was fine only a hand full of people and they do have seating that is non-smoking.

We had dinner and drinks tonight at the MI Brewery and it was consistently terrific. Several years ago when they were daily new, I sat at the outdoor/indoor bar and had a few beers and an appetizer while waiting for my wife who was shopping. She joined me and we really enjoyed the respite. Tonight we returned with a good friend for dinner and drinks. Holy smokes! It was just terrific. Our server, Evan, was friendly, fast and super efficient. I noticed they had a lot of staff and everyone was hustling. We ate outside, and the 3 of us ordered the Spinach and avocado dip, a hamburger with bacon and fries, and a supreme pizza intending to share all three. Everything was scrumptious, Evan was very attentive, and Lynette, who owns the Brewery with her husband, came over and chatted with us for a few minutes. Talk about friendly folks, great food and great ambiance! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the Brewery has moved right to the top of our "go-to" restaurants on Marco. Highly, highly recommended!!!

What a great hidden gem from the main traffic in the Island. Great food, better beer and just a nice place to hang out away from the crowds. We love to go and get away from Miami, and Marco Island is such a great place to do it..Close yet generations away !!! Dont miss a stop in Goodland, a place dug up from a century ago Florida11

After being scared away by O'Donoghue's around the corner, my friends and I stopped here. This place is EXACTLY what we were looking for! Knowledgeable bartenders who were quick to offer samples of the brews on tap. I particularly enjoyed the indoor/outdoor vibe with the bar extending on to the sidewalk. My only complaint is that the bar closed at 1am on a Saturday.... but that seems to be more of a Marco Island issue than the bar's. The vibe of the patrons was just as consistent as the service, clearly everyone was here to relax and have some craft brews. Cheers!

Just ok. More of a bar than anything else. Food was mixed. Ahi tuna tacos were good. Burgers good.
(3)Paul W.
Ok so I managed a very successful sports bar and this my friends it is not. It certainly is a bar, but the food was rough to say the least. Ordered the linguine and meatballs and not good is an understatement. Meatballs were bland to no flavor at all, the pasta sauce was overpowering with basil basil basil... So much basil. Balance it with some oregano or something. I ate two meatballs and was done with the entire dinner. Cost of this one entree split between my wife and I: $23. Salad that came with meal was relatively good and server was very friendly and accommodating. Service alone will not bring me back to this establishment. Hopefully others will have better luck.

I liked this place. Had the Bleus Burger and it was one of the better burgers I've had all year. They're a brewery, with at least 5 good size brewing kettles, but only the pilsner was on tap. I tried a pint, it was mediocre, but I'm not a pilsner fan so don't take my word on it. Seems weird that they were out of so much. Prices reasonable. Good vibe overall. Like the set up. If you don't want sports in your face you can sit on one side of the bar. If you're there for the sports, sit on the other side. Really liked the burger enough to go back for it again the next night. Note: when it says "chips" with the burger, they really mean potato chips, not chips as in french fries. Overall I would say a 3 star place, but when you compare it to other area options, and the superb burger, I'm bumping it up.

stopped at marco island brewery on a whim during vacation. excellent service, good prices, good atmosphere, great food. try the bbq wings with the special spicy sauce on the side.

Fun and lively

I was excited to think of a place on Marco you could get a real beer! Wrong. How can you call yourself a microbrew and then say of the four beers you brew you only have one available? So I tried the pilsner--not bad but nothing to remember. I can say they had a large bottled beer list but apparently not a craft beer expert selecting these. I will say that maybe due to poor 'real beer' distribution in the FL market. Food was average. The bar food seemed better than anything else. Kids chicken nuggets were very good as they seemed homemade. The calamari was rubbery but the sauce was excellent. The service was good. I would consider going back for beer selection which is better than the bud/ bud light choice everywhere else, but in general it wasn't all that exciting.

Relaxing setting in a strip mall, half inside and half outside. The first test, the wings, good sauce, nicely crisp, not to much coating. For a craft beer place it took intense questioning of the waiter to produce a printed list of craft beers, the reason why is that the list of out of date, and he informed us that probably half the list was out of stock, and about half of what they had wasn't on the list. We moved on to the entree, we ordered the chicken quesadilla and a cheese burger, nothing special about the quesadilla, the burger was okay, we ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well.

Food is mediocre at best. prices are way too high, but the kicker??? FLIES! FLIES EVERYWHERE. It was disgusting. leaving the bar open during the summer is the dumbest thing. The flies were nesting in the faux plants. They were everywhere. That's a major health hazard. Wifi may be free, but it doesn't connect well at all. We live here full time and will NEVER go back there. The service was good.

I ate at the major fish places on Marco and the best fish I had was here. The beer list was great if you avoid the house -made beers (holy crap it was bad) and I just tried a fork full of my daughters leftover pasta dish and that rocked too. Do not feel like you must eat on the bay. Loved this.

Besides the fact that there was a gecko in the bathroom, in the stall with me, I enjoyed my experience here. Those in the dining room all heard me scream when I looked up and saw my little dinosuar friend. I laugh now, but at the time the bathroom was much too small to support both of us comfortably. I realize, thats not why you are reading my rendition of my visit to this brewery, so I will get along with my review. My brother picked this dining location on our vacation to Marco Island. We were anxious to try the beer and visit a restaurant that was wasn't stuffy or expensive. Plus it was a brewery. My husband and I ordered wings. Other items ordered in our party included pizza, french fries, loaded fries, potatoe skins, baked fish, and a burger. We also made numerous selections from the micro brew menu. Our server was great. He was very patient and attentive to our large indecisive party. He had no control over it, but the food came out so slow. Could be because everything is cooked to order. The wings were very lightly breaded and fried crispy- not over done, just perfect. The fries were fries... my favorite were the loaded fries with cheese, sour cream, and bacon bits. The atmosphere was typical bar like of place. There is a pool table and a few video games off to one side of the place. There is an inside bar and one that is outside. The view stinks- its the parking lot of an outdated strip mall. I say its outdated, but I would not guess the shopping is particularlly geared toward the tourist. The locals may not mind the look since its beachy, simple and nondescript. But for me it was not really alluring and just decided to sit inside to eat and drink.

I didnt try any of their beers so cant comment. I was happy with the one dollar drafts. The food was excellent. Ahi Poke was phenomenal. Too bad we found it on the last day we were in town.

Great place for food and service. We had the Chee-z bleu bread, blue cheese, mozzarella cheese on garlic bread appetizer...fabulous with the homemade Italian red sauce that the owner Frank makes daily. Clearly this guy knows sauce as it was rich and robust, plus he does not share the recipe...a true sign of a great sauce. We got the French dip, my wife loved it with the onions and au jus and I had the NY NY corned beef sandwich. Both were huge and very tasty, enough for lunch tomorrow for the two of us. Aubrey waited on us and she was fantastic. The atmosphere was fun and inviting...I highly recommend this place.

I'm sure this is a fun and good place to watch sports, but the food needs to drastically improve

Food was great as was the atmosphere. We had a blast drinking, eating, and watching football and baseball. Good time for all of us.
