I can't speak for the regular menu as I have eaten off of it but I really don't remember the details because it was before I yelped, but I can comment about the Sushi Menu... Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous! It is not a limited menu since the previous Sushi chef "Mr. Personality" (yes I am being sarcastic) departed, but I am so pleased with it! You don't need to eat at the actual Sushi section of the restaurant. Alex the bartender was nice, welcoming, and was a pleasure to sit with at the regular bar. Ill be back!

The steak quesadilla was awesome! The guacamole was fresh and chunky, delish. Also had the Cuban panini and it was great. Good service, good food, nice view, good drinks, can't go wrong.

Food is very good. Two server system creates poor service. No follow up and getting bill let alone desert took forever.

Well, Well, Well... we were quite pleased to find this lovely little bistro at this gorgeous location. When arriving we were promptly greeted and asked our preference. We chose outdoors, of course. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. We were then greeted by the busperson who immediately offered to serve our drinks before the waitress came. Then the waitress who was nice friendly and gave us more details about each of the dishes. Following that we ordered chicken wings - very nice, tasty, succulent. Yum! We also asked for the reuben sandwich - and it was quite tender and fresh, well piled and accompanied by the mango slaw. Nornally we would not eat the slaw - but this was fantastic. A taste of heaven, those at the table said. We also had what we would call the best french dip sandwhich that ever surfaced earth. The meat was well seasoned, tasty, tender - amazing. One needed nothing else. But yet, it was accompanied by provolone and a crispy pretzel-like (at least it tasted like it) bread and flattened like a panini. Would have this dish again and again! We also had a mudslide, which was quite tasty - only small drawback was that the ice pieces were too large - needed al ittle better blending/ or longer bending would get this again. We had an excellent experience with great service and we would absolutely return and recommend to others. The atmosphere and lovely appointed tables were a big plus too! I don't think we'll be telling anyone else about it or we'll never get a table again!

This is our favorite restaurant in Marco. New chef who is fabulous. Have been numerous times and each meal is a dining pleasure. The drinks, food, wait staff is amazing. I believe we have tried almost everything on the menu and can honestly say you can't go wrong with anything. We have not been for brunch yet but will be there this Sunday :). You won't regret eating at Mangos. Sad to see the negative reviews but since we started eating here in May 2013 it is 5 stars to us!

Started out a little rough but got better. I get the feeling this place is in need of a better manager. We were seated pretty quickly but I wasn't too impressed with the hostess. One of the bussers seated the party before us to try to help her out and she snapped at the woman right in front of us - I hate when employees do that - if you need to say something thats fine but don't do it right in front of the guests. We also were left at our table for over 15 minutes with no attention from any waitstaff even though they were not busy at all. My friend went back to the hostess to ask who our waiter was and she implied that we would have gotten service if we hadn't seated ourselves ... which we hadn't ... you seated us ... 15 minutes ago ... remember? Our waitress was finally told we were her table and she came over and apologized profusely - no big deal - it happens. This is where my bad management opinion comes in - the waitresses seemed to be helping random tables all over the patio rather than having a single section so I understand where the confusion comes in. Our waitress was very nice and was training Mr Beautiful Eyelashes and he was very nice too. Once we got settled they gave us great service and even gave some advice on some of the local hangouts. I can't even remember what I ordered but I do remember that the banana daqueri was great. All in all not a bad place and the view is really nice but I'm not sure I'd come here a lot.

Ehhhh-I wouldn't recommend this place. It's cute but the service is very slow - the Sunday brunch was $14 each and only had fruit, eggs benedict, potatoes (which were very good), super stale French toast, and an omelet bar - which would be the way to go.... But overall not impressed.

We just finished the most lovely bridal brunch Mangos. The restaurant was so accommodating, helpful and enjoyable. They were very easy to work with to set up brunch for our group of 12. They had everything ready to go when we arrived. It was a delight. They had a beautiful patio we ate at. The view was great and they looked very prepared for any weather with heating lanterns. The food was delicious. We had the eggs Benedict and bananas foster French toast. Both were outstanding. The service was impeccable. Go check out the sugar scrub in the bathroom. My niece and flower girl LOVED it. Great spot for girls night, groups or family outing. I will be back very soon!!!

I have gone here numerous times for breakfast and have always been pleased. It's really relaxing to sit by the water. We had a veggie omelette and eggs over easy. Everything was fresh and tasty. The breakfast here is worth it and is favorite spot.

Yum! Enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. Got a crab cake benny and it was the bomb! Hubby got a plain breakfast and really enjoyed it and lamented we didn't find it sooner. I believe they are only open for breakfast on the weekends (9-?). We also found out that this is one of the only dog-friendly areas in Marco Island and this restaurant has a dog menu for Man's Best Friend! What's not to love!

We went to Mangos on a suggestion from some locals. We thought we would go during happy hour to test things out and then decide if we wanted to eat dinner also. Upon arriving we walked through the patio which was pretty empty and I tracked down someone to see if we needed to be seated or seat anywhere. We were told happy hour is at the bar only. So we proceded to the bar to order a few drinks. We were given a happy hour all day menu which quite frankly was a joke. First we are on vacation and looking for warm climate vacation drinks. Well those are not on the happy hour menu at all. Very limited happy hour menu and a domestic draft beer was around 4.50 which with the 2 for one happy hour makes it 2.25 per beer. Thats no special for a draft beer is it? The only things to order were off the regular drink menu. We ordered a few frozen drinks that were pre made and not very good. Expensive too for what you got. So if you are going for happy hour I don't think its very impressive. Service- Not very good at all. The bartender was more interested in talking to some other people about his OTHER JOB and handing out his business card. We had to wait for another drink and wait even longer to pay. That turned us off to even attempt dinner there. Ambience- A bit on the cheezy side inside. Looked more like a chain restaurant. Outside looked nice but I didn't like the tall bushes which prevent you from looking over the water and opening things up. My opinion its a big miss and mislead. Happy Hour is not happy and its a vacation area but vacation drinks are not included. Many other better options.

While passing through Marco Island we happened into Mango's Dockside Bistro. This visit was like a dream, the view of the water, wildlife and locals was almost as pleasant as my memory of the meal. I think it's as important to mention the Bartender Beth, she treated us as family and we truly felt a connection with her. These days to meet a server or anyone in business that is personal, positive & friendly, this is truly customer service and seems more difficult to find these days. Oh and Beth also mentioned a Cocktail that I may never forget, The Lemon drop, Ooh La La ! Thank You Beth and Thank You Mangos Dockside Bistro

Stopped in for a dockside lunch. Ordered healthy turkey sandwich, monte cristo, and a spider sushi roll. Sandwiches were large and tasty. The monte cristo bread was slightly undercooked and doughy. The meat and cheese in the monte cristo was significant and flavorful. The spider roll at the Marriott's Koral restaurant was MUCH better. It was a tasty roll, but the the best sushi I have had. The outdoor dockside seating was great! A huge plus for this bistro. I had a Key Lime Martini and it was delightful. Could have used a little more graham cracker on the rim, it was a VERY light dusting, but the drink itself was good. Overall a nice lunch experience out by the docks. Food: average Ambiance: Great Value: slightly below average, expensive Service: good I would go here again to try other menu items.

While I can't comment about dinner service please take my recommendation on an outstanding breakfast or brunch destination. The location is superb, food fresh and super delicious, service prompt, attentive, with very happy, pleasant staff. I travel the world and can say Mangos on Marco is by far the best location within 20 miles and a place that after two visits is permanently on my list.

Had a delicious dinner here on New Years Eve. There were 8 of us and we were all pleased with our meals. After having appetizers at home, we didn't need big meals. The Honey Glazed Sesame Chicken Salad was delicious. Our waitress Christy was a doll and so patient. If your are on Marco, make it a point to stop and try it.

On our honeymoon, found this place which looked great. Sat for 5 mins waiting for a server. She's pleasent but overwhelmed. About 10mins later she returns with our drinks. We order an app and our dinners. About 30 or more min go by and still nothing and haven't even seen our server. My sandwich comes out and still no app. 5 mins later the app arrives. 20mins later my husbands food arrives. His food was ok my sandwich while warm was great, but since I wanted to wait for his food well it got cold quick. Our server was completely way too busy for us and so was everyone else because I couldn't find anyone to ask for a manager. I would recommend maybe sitting at the bar next time but honestly I don't plan on going back.

Just came back from a trip to Marco Island and was there last year as well. Last year we went to Mango's twice during our stay because the food was THAT good and this time we only made it once but our meal did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and courteous. There were three of us in our dining party. We started with 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell & the Fresh Local Tomato-Mozzarella. While I did not partake in the oysters, the comments ranged from "sooooo good and sooooo fresh." The Tom-Mozz was delicious and the tomatoes were just ripe. I had the ribeye that was on special (it was divine and perfectly cooked as I ordered it medium rare and it melted in your mouth). Other dishes that were ordered were Teriyaki Flat Iron Steak and the Center Cut 12 oz Pork Chop. I sampled both entrees and wow! The flavors were fantastic and everything was fresh and delicious. They also have a "Happy Hour" from 3-7pm. If you're in Marco, definitely check Mango's out, you won't be disappointed!

This restaurant was highly recommended, but I was so disappointed. I ordered the King Crab salad for lunch, which was the special on a recent Friday. The server did not know the price, but I figured the fresh crab would be worth the price. The entree was crab salad served on a bed of mixed greens with hard boiled eggs and avocado. I bit into crab shells no less than 5 times! The hard boiled eggs were the consistency of rubber. It was a really bad meal and I could not eat it. When the server returned and asked about my half eaten meal, I told her about the shells I'd bitten into numerous times and about the rubbery eggs. She apologized, but did not offer to take it off my bill. This was a $19 entree. At this point, I regret not having contacted the manager to convey my experience, but that was on me. The two stars are for the atmosphere and because my husband had a good tuna sandwich.

I've tried this place a few times now. The first experience was not good. My meal was forgotten and didn't arrive until everyone was done with theirs. The second time we went for breakfast. That was good with nice sized mimosas. We went back for breakfast and the mimosas have been down sized and mostly orange juice. They were offering the Sunday buffet, which most of us got. The few that didn't waited a half an hour for pancakes. The consistency is just not there. I hope they find their groove as it's in a great location and has a lot of potential.

We have been several times but this was our last time! We hosted a dinner party there last night and the service was horrible and food was cold. We waited 15 minutes before anyone even asked us what we wanted to drink! It was very embarrassing as we were hosting old friends and told them how we loved this restaurant. Not worth it any longer.

I've been here twice and both times have had an awful meal and service, will not be back again. Food is overpriced. Lobster bisque had to have been the worst I've ever had. Only positive thing I can say, is if you sit on the patio you have a nice view. Might be OK if you go there just for a drink, and don't mind lousy service.

We recently dined at Mango's while attending an annual conference in July at the Marriott on Marco Island. Mango's was recommended to us as the new restaurant that replaced the old Guy Harvey restaurant. It was supposed to be much better in quality service etc. .However tt was a sad disappointment. On a good note the owner was very friendly and accommodating. We had to move out of the rain and he had an inside table for us immediately. The atmosphere and ambiance was creative and inviting. On a bad note the service though attentive was very disorganized. Our food arrived extremely late..took over an hour and 30 minutes to finally receive our food. The vegetables were bland and cold. My main lobster was fishy and over cooked. My husbands steak and friends steak were not at all cooked to their order. The flavor of my husbands bone in ribeye was OK . When we tried to divide the bill on two credit cards it took another long period of time and for what ever reason they could not divide the bill..seems their systems are not very efficient. Additional good notes: The filet though not cooked to order was very flavorful and tender and the sushi appetizer was quite delicious! And finely the owner kindly brought us a complimentary strawberry short cake which was yum! Our group of 11 over all was quite disappointed and not interested in coming back. We did hear though that their breakfast menu was wonderful ..may try them for breakfast next year to see if they do this part of their business a bit better..and if the restaurant has improved.

Great view of the marina and the sunset. We got a table by the windows right away. Servers were friendly and checked back often. Food was reasonably priced, pretty tasty if not super exciting. Dessert was amazing though - make sure you try the sweet cream pretzel. Like a funnel cake/donut/pretzel mashup with ice cream. Mmmm would go back just for that.

Location 5 star Food 4 star Service 1 star. This restaurant just opened up I would give it some time before I go back. Price was a little high for the level of service provided. If the service level picks up the price point for the food would be Ok. A friend suggested this restaurant to us and they said the same thing food was good however service was awful. I was waited on by the sister of the owner and she was clueless on the product offering.

We came here the morning of our last day on Marco Island hoping to get a table outside - location is beautiful. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. While we waited for the hostess to finish with another group, another hostess completely ignored us and took another group of 2 to the last outside table (they did seat us at an outside table on the side of the building, but it was so windy there everything was blowing away so we had to move inside) Tried to keep an open mind after that... the interior is cute with a lot of bright colors, the service was fast and friendly enough. The food was good too - my husband loved the spicy conch soup, I liked my french toast. I would go back.

Food was great, ordered from the Christmas limited menu. Steak and lobster Benedict, breakfast burrito, French toast were all great.ask for steak to be done med rare. The only good comment I can make is the location. Right on Smokehouse Bay. The restaurant opened last year. We tried it twice and both times the service was terrible, but we figured that it was new and that they needed to iron out the problems. So we tried it this year and the service was still terrible. We went for lunch about 2:00 and were seated promptly outside. Our waiter, Joe, came over and took our drink order after giving us a long talk about the Sunday buffet. Unfortunately that was the last we saw of him. Twenty five minutes later no drinks , no food order and no Joe. We did catch a glimpse of him a few times whizzing by but no eye contact, nothing. I then got up to talk to the hostess but she too had disappeared. Beware. The food is just ok and you'll probably do better at one of the other numerous restaurants on Marco. Food at CJ's also on the Smokehouse Bay is comparable and the service is much better or try Quinn's at the Marriott on the beach.

The marina view is the reason you come here. The food is good - just not great. Marco is like every other resort in that you can get great food with no view or good food with a great view. If I'm here for a week I usually try to stop here once.

I came to Marco island for the weekend with my friend and her family. We were starving so we went to the first place we were recommended to. Let's just say I wasn't satisfied with this place. Service was not good. We walked in and we were not greeted by anyone, we went straight to the bar and the server was on her phone while we were waiting. We got our order in and all three drinks were terrible. We had the golden margarita (watery, weak on the liquor), lemon drop martini (tooo sweet, not enough alcohol), and a titos with lemonade(the lemonade was not good). We were disappointed with our drinks so we were hoping that our food would be a little better. Another disappointment was on our way. We ordered margarita pizza (which was very sweet), fish tacos (I ordered them blackened and got them fried), and the big daddy burger (which was the best of the three). I wouldn't recommend someone here. Not worth the $90 we spent here.

AWESOME Sunday brunch for Mother's Day. My first time there so I am unsure if they have the same food selection every Sunday - or if it was special for the holiday. Let me begin with the fact that they had a different person making specialized waffles, omelettes, and a meat carving station. In addition to a salad bar there was also fresh salmon & capers with peel & eat shrimp! Cheese plates... Crackers... Fruit bowls... Eggs Benedict ... The BEST Bacon I think I've ever had...(I've been a vegetarian for over 3 years so you know it was good). Not to mention there was an entire table devoted to deserted including a chocolate fountain with pretzels, marshmallows & strawberries. Woah. SO YUMMY- All of it! All you can eat & it was $28 - a little on the pricey side for a buffet but WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY!! I was with 2 other people who had previously dined elsewhere & were drooling over my plate. We had yummy mimosas & bloody Mary's also. The bloody Mary's are where it's at! Comes with a cute little flower, pepperoni & cheese (which I had never seen garnished that way) & a celery stick. Mimosa came in a small flute - I'm used to a pint from where my neck of the woods but other than that - this place ROCKS! I'm sad to say I found it on my last day of vacation.... Also! Service was on point & the atmosphere is cheerful with views of the water.

portions are small and pricey. My wife had the french dip sandwich on a cuban bun, although she stated that it was very good i felt it was quite small for the price of $14 dollars. I had 2 separate rolls of sushi. they were ok but overpriced in my opinion, the cheapest roll was $15. not sure if ill come back or not.

Stopped by after a thunder storm and luckily we made it in time before they closed. Apparently Sunday's they close at 3? Anyways, I ordered a Mai tai, calamari (appetizers), and fish tacos. Everything came out really good! I was very satisfied with my meals. Server and atmosphere was great as well! Will definitely be coming back!

We ordered sushi to go and it was just "meh"...... For something that looks and acts as elite as this establishment does--- I personally expected more. We got the New spicy blue roll, and California , shrimp tempura and coconut shrimp. The grand total was $47..... And I just wasn't impressed. I held them up in high regards and was totally let down. The spicy blue was the highlight of the dinner. But at $15.... I would NEVER eat here again. Recently we were lounging around the pool with some locals ,and they asked us if we knew Marco Island was really "mark-up island".... We chuckled and told them we knew things were on the higher side here. But this restaurant has given that little chime and whole new ring to it. Come on folks. Stop robbing people!!!$47??????) Oh well. Lesson learned and we will probably never be back here. Ciao.

We were looking for a nice place to have breakfast and after reading the reviews in Tripadvisor and Yelp decided to give it a try. We were pleased with the service and food, also enjoyed the view, too bad it was too cold to eat outside. My husband ordered the lobster benedicts and he said they were okay. My daughter ordered thr french toast with strawberries and she ate everything, I tried them and they were yummy, the use cuban bread and that just makes it so much better. I orederer thr greek eggs and they were okay, too much Feta cheese for my taste. We ordered Bellinis and they only had Mimosas. The Cafe Latte were good.

Family of four. Started out with a slow, confused hostess, who made the seating awkward. Drinks came quick. Waiter took a long time to return for our order. Then we hardly saw him the rest of the night. The place was super busy, so I think our waiter was overloaded, but he never showed any concern for us. Food was pretty good. Had a Grouper special and sea scallops and sushi. All was good. The waiter is the culprit here. When you're spending hundreds of dollars on a nice meal, it would be nice to actually exist. I won't come back simply because I can have much better experiences elsewhere.

We went to Mango's on a Friday evening during the off season (summer). Started off with the ceviche which was fantastic! It was filled with tuna, salmon, conch, octopus, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, jalapeños soaking in a soy sauce concoction. Different and really tasty. I also had the scallop volcano which was good, but not great. We had a couple of other rolls shared between us. What made this place great was the friendly service and excellent hospitality from our server and other employees. The entire experience was really pleasant and the view and location can't be beat.

Bizarre experience here. In short, one of the people in our group's cell phone went missing. We were the last/only group (8) there. Find My iPhone said it was at the restaurant. The staff was very unhelpful in trying to find it, almost kind of weird about it. Low and behold, we end up hearing it ringing from under a pile of stuff behind the hostess stand. There were employees that were clearly standing there and definitely would have heard the ringing considering we heard it when walking by. The owner was completely rude and obnoxious about the whole situation even though we clearly caught them trying to steal a phone from our group. Luckily they're little ruse didn't work on us. I just feel bad for all the Grandpa's and Grandma's out there that they probably pull this on all the time. Food was just OK. BEWARE - Go at your own risk of being robbed.

Mangos has a great scenery. However the service is poor and very rude. My 23 month old son is unpredictable at times, but this place is advertised as family friendly so I thought we would be safe here. Well he of course screamed and when he did this one of their staff members plugged her ears as she walked past our table! Completely rude. As for the food- it was just ok. The crab is fake and fishy. The kids hot dogs were great according to my daughter. Hamburger was ok, but it made my husband feel sick after he ate it...Bottom line is we can find a lot better food and certainly nicer people at a different place!

Had a wonderful lunch here today. I am a fish taco fan and was glad our server suggested upgrading to the grouper. Coconut shrimp was great but smothered in a sauce that was tasty but I would have liked on the side, my fault for not reading the description. Oysters on the half shell were maybe the freshest I've ever seen. Tuna Taco Tartar was unique and tasty. Two ordered the grouper basket fried and raved about it. Also had the bang bang shrimp salad. I want to go back and try the king crab avocado salad.

Location, location, location..... That old real estate adage holds true one more time at mangos Mango's Dockside, because they aren't doing it on the food. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great and it left me hungry. I ate the calamari appetizer (told it was fresh, but it tasted frozen and the batter was too thick), my grouper entree ($30 and maybe 4 oz....tiny), half of my wife's salad entree, and then ordered a watery chowder with little protein just for the volume when I was done. Finally, though not a dessert eater, I ordered a fried pretzel with ice cream and caramel (pretty delicious) just to fill the hole. We brought our own wine and happily paid the $15 corkage as their wine list is a little...... basic for our tastes. Overall, I'm being generous to give them three stars. I don't think I'd return.

Bloody Mary's are presented beautifully with garnish but lack taste. Would not recommend the buffet, food is room temp and old looking and we were there when it first opened. But server Christian was wonderful, which is rare with a buffet.

It must be the location (very nice, next to the dock) that attracts the locals, as they seem to swarm here. We found the food to be very blah and uninteresting. Service was poor for us (though I think this was waiter-specific, as others were being served promptly). All in all, pretty disappointing and not worth the visit. Fortunately not too expensive.....

Holy moly! I have a new fave to add to my list of Marco eats & treats. Mango's has the best breakfast on the island--FACT! Sit back at the Esplanade and look out over the boats and the water sipping on your mimosa. The choices are broad but the the bananas foster French Toast will blow your mind and yes, if you ask, they will top it with those sweet candied pecans. One thing that melted my heart a bit was the canine menu for your furbaby to join you outside...they are quite happy to bring your pooch a bowl of water and a bowl of chicken breast or "captain crunch" as they call it. On weekends and holidays, they offer an incredible buffet. The $28 bucks/person for the Thanksgiving buffet was absolutely worth it.

you can't expect stellar food on marco island...or I have yet to find this treasure. this place is placed on the water, in the promenade on marco came here with 6 month preggo gf for din. greeted and sat outside , waitress was very friendly and nice, they had a sushi menu which homegirl picked up a cooked roll for herself and got excited for their special $2 miller 64 bottles since their cocktails were not too impressing for me. that was a deal of the night. decided to go with the ceviche appetizer since i wasn't too hungry. it was a decent portion for the price of $15, said it was spicy however no spice whatsoever. friend had a regular burger which was about $15 as well, server tended to disappear for a bit when needed.. their menu left much to be desired as did their prices for the quality and amount of food. dessert was the winner of the night with their not so short strawberry shortcake. all in all a pleasant experience with a ok food and a nice view

Every time I come here I want to love the place like I love the view however service disappoints every time. I will still come for the ambiance and sushi, but will count on the food taking forever and the service sketchy.

Great dinner spot, we say outside on the patio! Laid back atmosphere, delicious food/drinks, and fantastic service. My family and I came to Marco island for vacation and stopped in for a late dinner... We will definitely be back! We ordered a variety of of food (sushi to salad) everyone loved their dish! Our server Tony was really energetic, and knowledgeable! If you're looking for a great place to dine... Look no further! It's also kid friendly; there is a "fishing pond" inside, with plastic fish and fishing rods, the perfect way to entertain a kid while they wait for food!

Mangos is the place to go on Marco Island. I recommend the out doors tables are worth the wait. For breakfast it is a great place to watch the waterfront wake up, all of the morning menu is wonderful and prepared to perfection. For lunch let me recommend the burger. It is made with high quality meat the kind you enjoy with every bite. For dinner let me recommend the Grouper ,if they have it, very nice size portion and cooked to perfection. MANGOS is a must stop for breakfast, lunch, dinner or all three.

Stopped in for drinks and they were okay. Limited happy hour menu. But was horrified that an employee walked out of the men's room without washing his hands!!!!!! Will not eat there ever!

My wife and I and our two kids dined there during the week of June 1st. We have been going to Marco Island for 18 years and were on a mission to find new restaurants. We dined out every night, so it was good to compare restaurants on the island. Mango's is a cool place. Great atmosphere, good service (our waitress was very friendly), and the food is good. They had live music that night which was great. Only issue is that it's a little pricey for what's being served. The $17 hamburger was absolutely delicious......but it's still a hamburger. So, great place, but not sure it's worth the price.

I've only sat at the bar to eat and have never been for brunch so keep that in mind. It was mid afternoon and not very busy so service from the bartender was good. Food was just okay, although my fiancé enjoyed her sushi roll. I thought the price was a little high for the food quality but it's a prime location so that's expected. If you want a place to chill by the water and have a drink this will fit the bill, if you're a foodie you won't be overly impressed.

Went to Mangos today( first time) --- waited - and then got seated at a table away from everywhere outside as an afterthought in a hall- waitress came and we ordered beverages. Her margarita came non-frozen- had to take back- ordered salads --- they were great with strawberries - pecans- mangos- Mandarin oranges etc but waited a long time for only 2 salads

Fantastic meal with the family. Our server Mike greeted us with a smile when we arrived and provided excellent service from start to finish. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Marco.

Came by boat for lunch and enjoyed a good quality meal. Arrived about 330 and there was no wait. Service was prompt and the food was fresh. we sat outside and enjoyed the view while enjoying a good mid afternoon lunch.

The food was good, however we waited forever for our food! It is nearly impossible to wait an hour for a meal with two young children. I think we might still be waiting if we hadn't brought it to their attention that our food hadn't arrived.

This restaurant was overly chaotic and disorganized featuring mediocre food. The reception staff seemed overwhelmed when we arrived and had no real idea of what tables were free or occupied. The waiter was friendly, but he was not attentive to our table after he took our order. He could not even remember to bring us water refills after asking. Food was OK, but it was nothing special. Portions were small and expensive.

My wife and I had breakfast at Mangos yesterday. We have been a customer since it was Chefs Express. We keep coming back for more. The prices are on the top end of the scale but you get what you pay for. There is nothing nicer than looking out over the water with a nice cup of coffee while waiting for your meal. I had the Southern Eggs Benedict The eggs were cooked perfectly so that when you cut them a golden color flowed over the fresh biscuit. Even though there is enough calories and cholesterol to drop you on the spot it is well worth the risk.

First off NEVER trust a yelper with 1 review & no picture....mangos was awesum, not crowed (it was Monday) great food & atmosphere, caught the last 30 of happy hour & the Marco mangotini was great...and only $5,had the flat iron teriyaki steak...no complains & the strawberry shortcake dessert...says on the menu won best of Marco 2010...I see why....wow,fresh whipped cream & strawberries....sooooo good....Oh, the mango butter with the free bed basket is eat with a spoon good too...only complaint I have is I'm leaving marco tomorrow....waaaaaa!

So if a place is actually called "Mango's" and it's actually dockside, you'd think it would be a tourist trap serving junk to us rubes, right? Not at all the case here - the menu is much more creative than you'd expect, and during multiple visits I was surprised at the presentation and taste. If there's a fault it's that part of the restaurant seems a bit dive-esque when it really doesn't need to look that way. It also seems to be constantly busy (though not overcrowded) and is a big hit with families since there's kids all over the place. The staff was always accommodating and friendly. A first-time visit might make it hard to find, but it's a good spot among many on the island.

We dropped in after hearing people on the beach talking and were not disappointed. Wait staff was good. Pecan salmon was terrific. Varied menu if you have a wide range of tastes in the group. Sit outside of you can.

The Sunday brunch is breakfast only. Food was good. Waffles were light and flavorful. Eggs Benedict, all breakfast meats, no salmon or fish. Fresh fruit. Limited Danish. Egg station was the only maned station. It was constantly backed up. I would return if breakfast was my target.

Excellent spot to sit by the water & enjoy a nice view of the sky, yachts & expensive houses across the saltwater ways. The staff is super friendly & they deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately the food was not up to par with the surrounding views & great staff. The soup de jour was cream of asparagus but it was very salty & it had the consistency of Campbell's soup. The server assured me that it was "home made" but, I assure you it tastes just like the one in a can. I went for the sushi & it looked very pretty & nicely plated. That's all the nice things that I can say about it. The flavors lacked freshness. The tuna had lost that buttery consistency that you get from fresh raw quality fish. Instead, the fish looked dull and slightly dry. I could not finish my plate. Publix has decent and better sushi than this place but not the view. I only tried some soup & 2 different sushi rolls. But as I looked around at my neighbors' plates, the food did not seem very appetizing. Go grab some beers with your friends, enjoy the view but, skip the food.

Looking for a new place to eat on the island. Wanted to try CJs, but it was closed for the day. Sat outside at Mangos. Service was ok. Neighboring table that sat after us got their food, check, and left before our meals came. I ordered the boom boom shrimp salad. While it was tasty it was not specifically what I ordered. It was supposed to come with ranch and I requested grilled shrimp. It was brought out with a sweet dressing And was topped with cooked, not grilled, shrimp. Not a big deal just not what I ordered and I was not about to send it back and wait. I did get the the dressing corrected. My daughter ordered the grouper. For $18 she recieved about 6 ounces of fish. All in all the food tasted good, but I can spend the same and get bigger portions and tastier fare elsewhere. Our sever was not on the ball either. Probably won't be back. Big prices, small portions :(

What a fun place! Dockside dining, with indoor seating in a funky setting. Mangos is a real treat. Casual, fun, and some elegance too. We had salads, as we normally try to eat light late in the evening, and they were great. The blacked grouper atop was fantastic. Cooked perfectly. Spiced perfectly. And the portion was good. We walked about the board walk first, the hostess greeted us immediately as we approached, asking if we prefer indoors or out. Outdoors, of course. We were seated right away (of course, this was in October, not quite high season). The potted gardens and waterview together made for a lovely atmosphere. We would go again.

Grouper was fantastic as was the burger. Yellowfin and white tune average but they do also offer ahi. Beer list limited but mixed drinks galore. Server at the bar (forgot her name) was great and spent time talking to us about our trip to Marco and offered up a suggestion or two for things to do. All in all a good dining experience on our last night in Marco.

We went here for breakfast and it was pretty decent. There was nothing amazing about it. If you want an a simple breakfast it is good. Simple flavors for simple meals and with this places websites and some of the pictures from yelp I expected a little more. Overall pretty decent though I would try other breakfast places before returning.

First off.. I only came here for breakfast so that's all I can review on! Gluten free options galore!!!!! Amazing amazing amazing gluten free French toast!!!!! Wonderful mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice! Yum! The service left something to be desired... Our server was Russian or something and was very forgetful or perhaps didn't fully understand our requests... Two mimosas never received... Food ordered incorrectly... Just frustrating. If it wasn't for him it would have been an easy four stars!!!!

The food here is absolutely amazing!! We have eaten here 3 times during our stay on Marco Island and every dish has been delicious. The staff is super friendly and even the owner came to check on our table and introduce herself! You definitely do not want skip this place!!

Everything was absolutely great! This is a real gem on Marco island. Shrimp cocktail was pricey but amazing! (3 jumbo shrimp for $14). We also had the Marco sunset roll and shrimp and clam linguini. Would recommend to anyone!

The Blackened fish was very good, but when I asked for it on a salad, they told me they only serve it over Iceberg lettuce......Rabbits don't even like Iceberg lettuce, so a note to the owner, if you are going to do so well at cooking and serving such great fish, why not offer a salad with some lettuce that has some nutritional value and flavor, unlike the stuff that is normally used for Taco's?? The server was excellent, and he was able to have my salad made using Romaine lettuce, which is how it SHOULD be offered on the menu - we tipped him very well. Hopefully nobody spit on my salad before it left the kitchen - guess I will never know. I still think the place is good, but they need to modify the menu and stop using Iceberg lettuce - the ONLY time Iceberg lettuce should be used is on a Hamburger, or Wedge with real Bleu Cheese. Other than that is should not even be legal to use as a garnish......

Really enjoyed my meal here, but it wasn't as good as CJ's on the Bay just down the Esplanade. The service was good, and the location is nice, and the menu is quite large and even offers sushi. I liked my seafood pasta, but overall wasn't wowed by this restaurant. It was loud, there lots of kids, and something was just a little off. I'd definitely go back and give it another shot because the food was good. But I was just so spoiled by CJ's. My only regret, not ordering the strawberry daiquiri. My father let me taste his...it was perfect...best strawberry daiquiri ever! Get it topped with whipped cream.

This is a fun place where you can eat dockside with fun island decor. You can sip a mimosa or bloody marry (we had both since it's my husbands birthday;)) and they were delicious! I had the Greek omelet, which came with homemade bread, fresh fruit and homemade breakfast potatoes. My husband had the bagel panini sandwich. Everything was hot and delicious! We will definitely be back during our stay!

Owning a restaurant and running a restaurant are two very different tasks. Two owners / managers on premises during our dinner last week of June 2013. Service and food not even average. Drinks were slow coming on refills. At table of 6+3, we ordered two specials of the night. $32 6 oz fillet and $38 20 oz rib eye. Both were ordered medium with regular sides. Food took over 45 minutes to arrive. Both steaks were over cooked, grossly over cooked. And no one, including 2 owners or waiter had the balls to ask us how were our 9 entrees. One of the owners even stopped by to comment on our kids and not a word asking about food or service. I guess like old saying goes, ask no evil hear no evil. High price menu -- average quality food -- average service In summary, if you charge premium prices on daily specials then deliver the product and service, or go back to breakfast venues.

We ate here today for brunch and it was really good. I had the whiskey burger and it was one of the better burgers I've had in a while. My wife had the lobster eggs Benedict and the lobster was perfect. My only complaint was service was a little slow but it was busy. Overall good experience and we will be back. Oh and the restrooms were clean and maintained

Nice location in a trendy area- but the service sucked. Cheesy decor--like a Jimmy Buffet bar. The bar back sat me but no wait staff greeted me or brought me water or a menu for 20 min! Slowwwww. I hate when other tables who came after me get served first . Happened here over and over.... The waiter suggested I try s daiquiri but it was clearly made with a pre-made mixers. Burger was ok. Skip the Parmesan fries- tasted like cafeteria fries from elementary school. Don't go here. Just don't.

This place is amazing. Went here for Sunday brunch and for dinner. The brunch food is really good. They make omelets fresh for you with whatever you'd like in them. Dinner was my favorite. The coconut shrimp is amazing. I'm not sure what it is marinaded in but I've never had such good coconut shrimp. Try their giant pretzel with cream cheese and honey for dessert. I'm not a huge cream cheese fan but you could barely taste it at all. Indoor dining as well as a gorgeous outdoor view.

This is a tourist trap. The food is not even average on a good day. I've tried it a couple of times and won't be back. They have water views is the only thing keeping them open. As a local we don't go here to eat. As a tourist I'm sure you will try it. Good luck with that one.

Great outdoor establishment right on the water. They have heaters which You'll need when the sun is not out. Service is attentive and servers friendly. Indoor seating if you want to watch a game or sit at the bar. The chicken salad sandwich is not too loaded with mayo nor is the home made cole slaw. The grouper is cooked perfectly and comes with just enough fries.

After so many amazingly delicious meals over at The Chef's Express in Olde Marco (the "Crunchy Delight" french toast being my staple go-to choice) I was really upset when I was last in Marco and heard that it was no longer in business. Luckily I was soon informed that the owners just moved over a little ways to the Esplanade under a new name, Mangos! Going into this place, I expected high prices since it was at the Esplanade but I felt that breakfast was moderately priced although their other menu did seem a bit pricier. I cannot speak on behalf of anything other than their breakfast, and I will definitely need to check out their other items during my next visit to the area. I personally do not enjoy paying to go eat breakfast, so my requirements for a stellar breakfast place include unique items not easy to make at home, fresh ingredients, and an inviting ambiance. Mango's has all of these! It was so peaceful to start my morning chatting with family sipping on coffee while overlooking the water. I think I went there twice in my one week stay, including making a trip there for my birthday breakfast! Both times the service was great, very accommodating and sincerely friendly without trying too hard to put on an act. Everything we ordered turned out to be amazing! My "Big as Mexico Burrito" (with added guacamole upon my request) was mouthwatering and it made me so happy that it came served with both homefries as well as very freshly cut fruit salad. The serving size was generous and left me feeling full and happy. I ordered the peach crepes the next time I went which completely satisfied by sweet tooth that morning! They use fresh peaches, not that canned stuff. Next time you are in the area, treat yourself to a peaceful and delicious breakfast at Mango's!

We went with a large party for dinner towards closing time. Our service was lackluster; the food took painfully long and our server seemed preoccupied even though there were few people around. The food was ok at best. The Calamari and Margarita Flatbread were both unimpressive. I got their special; a pork loin with rice and "kimchi" (It was basically a tiny bit of coleslaw on the side i.e. not real kimchi) and was disappointed. The pork was very dry. Their desserts were a JOKE. It was $3 each for both of our small, small plastic cups of "Chocolate Mousse" and "Tiramisu". They literally tasted the same, like cream cheese mixed with a little sugar and cocoa powder. Don't waste your time with this cheesy, "family friendly type" restaurant. It's expensive and there are FAR better restaurants on Marco! Try Da Vinci's Restaurant.

Save yourself. Only thing good was the view and you really pay for it in the price of the food. Pretty sure the food is defrosted and then served. Not fresh! Small portions for a huge price

Who ever reviewed before us I'm shocked !! Service was great !! Calamari was cooked to perfection !! Entries were great !! Overall much better then CJ's that so many talked about !! Atmosphere was wonderful and very relaxing !! Wish we would have given if a chance earlier in our stay and then could have come twice !!
