Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

It is Friday and our last night on the Island, we just wanted a simple dinner. We stopped into Gino's to get a pizza. We decided to have a drink at the bar while we waited on our pizza. We ordered the Capresse pizza (cheese, prosciutto, and basil). And s couple of beers. The pie was delicious, fresh ingredients and a good crispy crust with a little chew. The staff was friendly and the bartender was super nice (from Saratoga Springs, NY). The place is hard to find, hidden in a business park, but worth the trouble.

This place is ok .. if you don't feel like waiting in lines and just want to get some thing like pizza, or pasta go ahead and give it a try. . The calzone was decent. . A lityle under cooked but pretty big for the price... drinks are over priced and not too nuch of a selection....

Excellent selection of wine and drinks! Lots of room for small and big parties in the new bigger location. Italians cuisine is superb, I recommend the pizza, pasta, veal and chicken entrees. Also the bruschetta appetizer is delicious! You must also try the tiramisu desert, you might be full from your entree but it's worth it just for a bite or two! Staff is friendly and quick, I highly re commend this establishment.

Hidden away place but we figured what the heck, let's try it for takeout. We were very happy with the quality of the food. And the service was good as was the drink we had while we waited. I would recommend that you give it a try if your on Marco.

First time at gino's. My husband and I have been to marco island many times snd wanted to try a new place. We were very disappointed. Bread was microwaved; hot but hard to chew. We both ordered the specials: mahi-mahi and chicken dishes. The mahi-mahi dish was flavorless and the chicken dish floated in a loose gravy was terrible. I would be embarrassed to serve this food as a chef.

The new location is a little hidden in a business park but once inside, the interior is very welcoming. Contemporary and sleek. We have been going to the old Gino's location for some time and this updated restaurant is sure to please the Gino's loyals. The menu is pretty much the same from what I can tell with the addition of a nice bar and a full liquor license. Though the wine selection is pretty minimal. We got a bunch of food to go and everyone liked the quality of the food we have all been enjoying for years.

I went in tonight and found that stolen bread! But in all seriousness this place has the best pizza on the island. Try the white pizza it's so delicious with the ricotta cheese on there. Pasta dishes are great too. Check it out for a good meal!

Very difficult to find the restruarant. But nice atmosphere.chicken parm was better than ok but have had better. Would I spend $75 again? Even with a bottle of wine. Probably not.

One of the best Italian Restaurants in Marco Island and not even owned by Italians. Beautiful interior, nice atmosphere and all of the food is great.

This was a pretty good place until it moved and expanded. Now it's just awful. Our meal was close to inedible. Not cold, just tasteless. Our waiter was friendly but clearly untrained. The evening was ridiculous. Take the silverware, don't bring any back. Take drink orders, then come around for food order before the drinks arrive. Very, very busy, which may reflect the low prices, although our meal bill was anything but a bargain. There are so many better places on Marco Island. The owners -- really nice people -- need to get a handle on food and service, fast, or they're not going to make it. Shame.

First off, very difficult to find. Parked then waited 10 minutes in reception for someone to tell us where to sit. There were 2 tables seated and we didn't see one waiter or host. We ended up leaving after 10 minutes and walked over to cocomos grill which was delicious. Never going to come here again.

This is a great find here on Marco Island. We were ready to take a break from Seafood & Steaks so a real Italian restaurant sounded good. Being from Central N.Y. which has a heavy Italian presence- the bar was set high. I am happy to announce that my expectations were exceeded! Started out with a Calamari appetizer. Nice texture and flavor with a tasty sauce on the side. Went old school with the lasagne - spot on. Great sauce, fresh ricotta, and tasty mozzarella = Yum. Another person in our party had the veal. Again, flavorful, cut with a fork tender, pasta cooked just right. If you have room for dessert : fresh made cannoli and the Tiramisu are both winners. Friendly wait staff along with a pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely be on my list to revisit when I'm back in the area.

Cute atmosphere and comfy bar area. Veal was tender and tasty... Pizza was good. Not too impressed with the Calzone.... it didn't look like a calzone and the dough was very different from a traditional. Overall - good place to get some eats. Good value for the price. Alex the bartender was very helpful and social - made the visit even more enjoyable!

Excellent pizza. Nice atmosphere. Much better than other local pizza place which had better reviews and we didn't like. Would give it 5 stars other than they goofed on kids order and brought an all pep pizza in lieu of half and half.

New location is more roomy and pleasant. Service ok but food is at the low end of italian restaurants on the island. We had veal and eggplant but entrees were tasteless and covered in a mediocre red sauce. Everyone else in restaurant was having pizza and it looked ok. Suggest you try Davinci's, Arturos or the best Sale and Pepe for italian food.
