Everyone was right. This place rocks! Excellent food and excellent service. We both had Western omelette cooked to perfection. The biscuits were huge and fluffy...and made from scratch. Coffee source was bottomless. We highly recommend.

The food was decent, as I didn't have much high hopes for it. Everything was good (service, food) until the end. When I went to use the restroom before driving back to Miami, it was disgusting. (Toilet was not flushed, the floor was flooded, and just over all dirty). Will not be going back.

Such a cute little breakfast spot. Had the Veggie Omelette and it was amazing, nice big chunks of veggies and cheese. Service was superb, very good place. It's got a lot of charm. Try it!

I wish we'd come here instead of where we ate yesterday. But that's another review...don't come here expecting a lot of fluff. This place is about as basic and old-school as you can get. Egg plates, waffles, omelets, etc. on one side of the menu and regular dinners on the other. I had a two egg plate with potatoes and a biscuit. The potatoes were well seasoned and the biscuit homemade. I also had a side of gravy which wasn't too bad. My husband had the southern sausage omelet with American cheese. He said, "it was phenomenal!" The kids were well-fed with a beautiful fruit bowl and a pancake plate with blueberries and strawberries. The fruit plate was worth the visit in and of itself. It included grapes, honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries, and bananas and they were all fresh and ripe. The coffee was fresh, iced tea as well and the chocolate milk was mixed up right. If you come in, and they're busy, don't be tacky and sit at a dirty table and then glare at the servers. They know you came in. Just be patient and wait for them to clear the table. It won't take much more time. Oh...and I'm adding the 5th star because they take credit cards.

So, with the reviews, we were unsure. After eating here, the hard working folks do a great job. The food is different than a typical place, although not bad! The biscuits are homemade and incredible. Potatoes are well cooked and seasoned. Other items are large and typical of a Mom and Pop. Menu is a little difficult to understand without descriptions which forces you to ask a lot of questions. Not cool when they are busy. Coffee was surprisingly strong and better than any chain place. We all left satisfied. For the establishment itself. Robert Irvine would have an aneurism, a conniption fit and a heart attack after walking in. Although they are proud of their food, appearance is not a priority. Dirty floors, tables, vents, etc. seem normal. Servers are also a little vocal about their shifts and such other issues. Look, they don't pretend to be anything they are not and don't mind it. Overall, great local joint and is definitely in the category of the last "D" from Guy Fieri's show. A must visit if in Marathon, FL.

Simple and straight forward, this place has good food. I enjoyed the sausage biscuit and gravy, buttermilk pancakes with bananas, and an egg. Coffee was strong and delicious like other reviewers mentioned. I'd eat here again. Great spot, if you need something that hits the spot!

  • Jeff M.

If your looking for ambiance go elsewhere! If you want a great breakfast and or good lunch this is worth the trip. This is not a seafood joint. Thank goodness as I am not big on food from the water. But they do have a few fish dishes.?? did they? They do a mean waffle with fruit! Grits, assorted egg dishes. They close at 1pm so get there like me at noon and miss the morning rush.

Amazing little dive breakfast spot!! Food was fresh, homemade biscuits to die for and amazing eggs. Every time I visit the keys, this will be my spot for breakfast before hitting the road back home! Our waitress was awesome too. Such a genuinely nice lady and was always on her game!

  • Jack L.

I love coming here. I stop for early lunch and get a tomato feta cheese omelet that is always great. Today, for the first time, I had the biscuits, and they were some of the best I have ever had. They were light and fluffy and awesome. This isn't the fanciest place in the world, but it doesn't need to be for quick delicious food. I agree with one Yelper who said the bathroom is scary. The men's room is straight out of a horror movie. It's almost as bad as the bathroom in that one scene from Candyman, but not quite. The plumbing worked and they had soap, so that is all that is really needed in a men's room. If you feel the need to relieve bodily fluids of the solid variety, stop at Home Depot or something before you get here.

Great mom and pop place. Good food, good portions, good prices and good service. The tables and the walls could use some repair, but that doesn't much matter to us. We would eat here again.

  • Laura B.

This was not a good experience. The restaurant had a grimy feel to the bar stools and counter. It was not a good first impression. I held out hope because I could tell they were busy. I figured it was a good sign. I ordered the Mexican omelette. The waitress said it was the "best thing on the menu if you like spicy stuff." I do like spicy stuff, but the omelette wasn't spicy...just the jalapeños. The chicken was watery from being boiled and the rest was just cheap cheese slices, tomato and eggs. I ordered grits because the waitress assured me they were good. They, too, were watery and bland. I added butter, salt, and pepper, but I still only ate a few bites. I used the restroom before hitting the road again. It was gross. There's no other way to describe it. For a few hours after eating my stomach had a very heavy, unsettled feeling. I will not go back.

    (1)
  • M S.

Quite a disappointing experience. Coffee was truly terrible and tastes like dish soap, likely because of the plastic cup it was served in. We had to go get coffee outside after we left. The biscuits, which I was excited about because of prior reviews and hence specifically requested, were ample but dry and flavorless. My husband barely ate one of his two biscuits. The grits were a terrible slop-I tasted one teaspoon and was done. Will definitely not return - honestly, I can trudge through a dry biscuit if needed, but the coffee issue was unforgivable and started the day off badly.

    (2)
  • Sherwood C.

The staff was somewhat unprofessional. It felt like they were rushing our orders. I liked my biscuits and gravy, but like most breakfast places, the Wooden Spoon seems to struggle with presentation. Finally, they were out of a lot of things, like potatoes, certain types of bread and even the tshirts they were advertising.

    (3)
  • Iliana R.

So the Wooden Spoon has been here for soo many years and it's no wonder. The food is great! French toast tastes like deliciously fried fluffy doughnuts! My sunny side up eggs were perfect and the bacon was thick cut and super yummy. Even my daughters chocolate milk was great ! This is a little local spot but it does et packed on busy holiday weeks. The service is good but slow. Remember, this is the keys! They don't have too many people working so be patient. I can tell you that it is worth it! If you see a line outside, don't worry, it goes very fast. They pump the food right out. The waitresses are very friendly and really do try their best. Just be patient and chillax!

    (4)
  • Scott S.

I tried this place while on vacation and the food was excellent. Very friendly staff and homemade bread! I'd definitely come back again.

    (5)
  • Lisa B.

This place is disgusting. Dirty. Beat up. And the food was bad. Breakfast special - Blueberry Nut French Toast was not cooked. Bread was soggy, blueberries were the little canned kind and were cold like they were thawed from the freezer. YUK. Wished I hadn't given them the benefit of the doubt & had listened to the other bad reviews!

    (1)
  • Bob D.

Ok, this place is a dive. Several reviews have talked about the place being dirty, and I found that to be largely true. When we came in, we were the only customers (the place was crowded when we left though). One table was half cleaned, but unattended. There was debris on the floor. But, the staff was friendly, our server was excellent (better than at the nearby expensive resort we stayed at!), and the food was delicious. 3 stars: 1 star deduction for the cleanliness issues, 1 for being a dive. We would eat there again.

    (3)
  • Renee R.

First walk in very friendly and pleasant menu reasonable service is slow bathroom was gross and stunk of urine ! The food was good but I don't think I'll be back

    (2)
  • Justin F.

Walked in and there was a cockroach under the table. Walked right out of there. Disgusting.

    (1)
  • JoshandRachel B.

The outside was really sketchy, but we wanted to give it a chance with all the great reviews. Really grossed out by the floors and the bathroom was scary! The food was average typical diner food. The service was really great so that is why I decided not to give it a 1 star. :)

    (2)
  • Sarah R.

Friendly and fast service! We stopped in here after being at the beach. Good breakfast and lunch food but get there before 1pm that is when they close. Happy we stopped in. Next time we will order ahead their box lunch to take to the beach.

    (4)
  • Tracy T.

Too crowded to ever get in and the place looks depressing. We ended up at The Stuffed Pig and we're thankful that we went there

    (2)
  • Matt B.

Had a pretty rough breakfast. The two waitresses were clearly overwhelmed but we tried to be patient and just roll with it. Took about 10 minutes to order but that was fine. However, went down hill from there. Ordered some cheeseburgers, pancakes and an omelet. The cheeseburgers came out and the buns were soaked in bloody red grease. Also, my son's burger had a 4 inch black hair in it and the waitress said wasn't her fault and offered nothing else. Ordered conch chowder and watched it sit in the window for ten minutes. When I received it, was barely warm. Not a good experience at all. Was hoping for so much more after reading the reviews. Didn't go to IHOP because we wanted to try local. Bad choice!

    (1)
  • Mike G.

Great breakfast spot. We were visiting from New Jersey and will definitely be back again.

    (5)
  • Mike M.

We sat down at a dirty table. Waited 5 minutes and the waitress never came over. Went to the Stuffed Pig instead. I had to give it a star only because Yelp made me.

    (1)
  • Anna M.

This place has great diner food, a totally welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and reasonable (for the Keys) prices. Lots of kitsch. This place will put a smile on your face and good food in your belly. What more do you want?

    (5)
  • Don N.

Another locals breakfast and lunch diner with counter. fast service, hot coffee, friendly staff. They will even make you a box lunch if you're going out on one of the many fishing charters. Nothing fancy, just hard-working honest folks preparing all of your basic breakfast dishes. be sure to check out the white board for their daily specials. Another older "real Florida" location

    (4)
  • Charlie N.

A good breakfast...a tad greasy, but it's a diner. Colorful waitresses. We got the banana-blueberry pancakes & grits and eggs. All good.

    (3)
  • Mark D.

This is a great breakfast joint that has 'Florida Keys' all over it. The staff is friendly, the cook is good (and is a great show to watch if you sit at the counter), and the food is wonderful. They're only open for breakfast and lunch, but those meals are great. If you are driving through the Keys, you must stop here for a great meal.

    (4)
  • Jenn C.

Super friendly staff. Breakfast was so yummy! Biscuits are homemade perfection. Love the key lime pie too!!

    (5)
  • Frank T.

Great little diner. Friendly staff and awsome food. A must stop on you next trip down

    (5)
  • Jay M.

A bunch of us ate here, and really liked it. You have to remember that this is the Keys - this place is probably the best breakfast in about 50 miles. We enjoyed everything we had, then flopped onto the nearest beach to sleep it off. I love places like this.

    (5)
  • Melissa S.

Good food and very reasonably priced. Breakfast menu served during lunch.

    (5)
  • Evan C.

Hole in the wall feeling to this place right down to the cheap, but tasty greasy food and bathrooms out back. Friendly service sealed the deal...will go back again.

    (4)
  • Maureen O.

My husband LOVED his food and I really liked mine. We would have gone back if we had been staying in the area longer. Good prices. Don't go if you can't handle a little dirt. Other reviewers are telling the truth about a dirty floor, dirty window sill and there was a hair on the honey bottle. This wasn't enough to ruin my experience, though. It was good food that came out fast and friendly service. They offer lunch boxes you can take for eating on the beach later, so consider having breakfast here and 'getting lunch to go.

    (4)
  • Jeff N.

Great diner style breakfast. Probably the best bang for the buck on Marathon. Fed my family of 5 breakfast for $22! Highly recommend the country fried steak and eggs. Kids devoured their Pancakes. Will be back again this week.

    (5)
  • Lisa P.

Note that a 5 star rating does not suggest that it is a 5-star restaurant. The Wooden Spoon is a divey-diner with simple, but excellent breakfast food, affordable prices, and great service. So it gets 5 stars from me :) The fruit was fresh and everyone at our table was pleased with their breakfast choices. Egg, croissant, sausage, pancakes all very good. Friendly service, decor is fun to look at. There is no seafood on the menu, just simple breakfast.

    (5)
  • Mary W.

Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the sausage gravy my hubby got was way over seasoned with pepper. I like my gravy peppery....I couldn't eat it. Everything else was stellar. The prices are great and the food is plentiful and very tasty. This place is very busy with locals. Very cool old type diner feel. The servers are very friendly and helpful.

    (4)
  • Jen W.

A good place for breakfast, nothing fancy but seems frequented by a lot of locals. Price is good, service is ok (not enough servers). The place was packed, no wait list, just honor system and find your own chairs and sit is what the waitress said. We ordered 1/2 order bisquits/gravy, Tx sandwich w bacon, egg and cheese and 2-2-2 eggs/French toast/bacon or sausage, a kid's breakfast, 2 coffee and 1 juice plus a side of country style potato for total of $31 before gratuity.

  • Austin D.

If you like the keys you'll love this place. We've been going here for years and it's been very consistent. Best diner / greasy spoon for 50 miles. The place exists to serve breakfast; I've never attempted lunch.

    (5)
  • Jim L.

The biscuits are HUGE! Awesome place! Nothing fancy but GREAT place for breakfast in the keys!

    (5)
  • Stephanie I.

This was your typical greasy spoon, but we loved it. Laid back and local.

    (4)
  • Kyla S.

2 adults and 2 kids had breakfast (including coffee) for $20. Can't beat that! We kept it simple and did eggs and pancakes and everyone cleaned their plate! SUPER fast.

    (4)
  • Sandie S.

Best place in the keys for breakfast! Staff is friendly and will make anything you want to eat, the way you want it cooked. They are attentive and keep your coffee cup full. They were very accommodating ...making sure my meal was GLUTEN FREE and even checked labels of ingredients to make sure. Omelettes are the best but the waffles looked amazing! If you want a cooked to order breakfast in a casual, friendly place...this is it!

    (5)
  • Renee C.

I would give this place 3.5+ Service ......Good & Fast Food ... ...... was solid and made to order. I would eat here again. TIP: Lunch and Bfast only. Also they make their own breads. Sounds yummy.

    (3)
  • Glen W.

Holly is Amazing! Fantastic service, great prices, real down south home cooking! Try the Mexican omelette with chicken- spicy and filling! A bit of real Key West flair going on in Marathon. A must try !!

    (5)
  • Rachel H.

Yuck. Not enough staff for the amount of people and the food was blahhhhhh. Server was nice but not really available. Waste of time/money.

    (2)
  • Felicia R.

For the keys, its ok, very small, they only serve breakfast and lunch. Service is not the best but they were very friendly. The food was very good and super cheap but disappointed in the coffee. But a full breakfast for under $10 isn't bad. Not sure if i would return to wooden spoon on my next trip to the keys.

    (2)
  • Msabu N.

I love local little dive places. I am not a restaurant snob, but omg, don't look at the floor, don't look at the floor! The waitress was the best, working the room by herself for the longest time, she was amazing! The food was so so. There was too much tomato in my veggie omelet, had to use my napkin to sop up the liquid from my plate. The biscuit wasn't that good (maybe we got a bad batch,) it was dry and we didn't finish it. I was out voted, didn't want to go here. So if you do, don't look at the floor, window sills and tables and don't use the restrooms either.

    (1)
  • Jorge G.

have had breakfast there before, food is fantastic but service is dreadful, be prepared to wait a long time and lucky if your coffee is refilled while waiting, visit on 6/1/14 will be our last

    (2)
  • Farley A.

This place had good breakfast food! You had to wait a little bit for the food, and the service was okay.

  • Michael B.

First off this place should be on that Dine dive show with Guy Ferrari! I have driven past this restaurant countless times as I DJ weddings in the Keys and travel from Ft Lauderdale to Key West a few times a month. I never stopped because they are either closed or i really don't have time. Today that changed, i had a wedding last night in Islamorada, after a good nights rest started heading south toKey West. There it was and open...hmm McDonalds just up the road as is IHOP, but I wanted to sit down and checkout this place..... Heres my review: Side of the road old school diner. Atmosphere A+ Food A+ Service A+ Betty the cook ROCKS! By far the best biscuits n gravy since I left the Marine corps in '86! I'll be making this a regular stop! *Note - at the Wooden Spoon they only serve breakfast and lunch! Mike B - The Best Wedding DJ Ever. http://Http://thebestweddingdjever.com

5 stars just for the biscuits. Enough said.

    (5)
  • Ilona P.

Don't expect any crab cake eggs Benedict here, no sea food on the menu.

    (2)
  • William N.

good local diner- lots of wooden spoons on the wall as the name suggests. good breakfast $10 person total (6/2013) good ac system- almost chilly I believe it is locally owned- (much better than a chain place like the Ihop just down the street)

    (3)
  • Mark N.

Greasy, American style diner food - but better than most... heavily local crowd. was staying at the Kingsail hotel across the street so this was the logical breakfast choice.. you might consider running a few extra miles on your morning jog before coming here..

  • Shane C.

We were in the keys on a mission to find fresh seafood. But after days and days filled with blackened grouper and grilled yellowfin, peel and eat shrimp and lobster bisque, we were fished out. What we wanted for breakfast was not something that came from the sea. But took it's last breaths at the hands of a farmer somewhere. Or most likely, in a corporate owned, meat plant somewhere in the midwest. We wanted meat. we wanted eggs. we wanted toast. we wanted cheap. We sat at the counter. We ordered the spoon special. 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, bacon, sausage and home fries. the cook had this habit of bouncing the spent egg shells against the wall and into the trash. the waitresses used their hands to touch everything from the tomatoes to the toast to the money. I don't care about stuff like that, but this place isn't a freshly opened waffle house. So if you're grossed out by 20 years of crud on the floor don't look down. If you're worried about catching ptomaine poisoning, bring your hand sanitizer, don't sit at the counter either. or else you'll have a front row seat for how your wonderfully tasting food is actually made.

  • Matthew W.

The 1 star is mainly for the key lime pie. This is a typical breakfast/lunch American diner, and in general, the food wasn't really horrible, but didn't particularly stand out either. The key lime pie here has the consistency of almost cool whip, with little key lime flavor and little tartness. It seemed like a bunch of cream for the filling, which was not good. The conch chowder seemed like tomato vegetable soup with conch added. I would rate the key lime pie a 1 star. There were others in my party that enjoyed this pie, although it was not their favorite pie either. The pancake I ordered was good. Friendly service.

Great greasy spoon! This place appears to be loved by the locals, it was hopping on a Saturday morning. We found this place on a whim, as we were there to run a relay race from Miami to Keys. There were 8 of us, and every meal looked great. French toast and pancakes look amazing, piled high with fruit and whipped cream. I had eggs and bacon. All great!

  • Courtney L.

A great little breakfast spot within Marathon. We drove past here a couple times the day before, so after a run on 7 Mile Bridge, there was no questions where we wanted to stop for breakfast. Inside is a bit run down, but covered in wooden spoons. Service was quick and the menu wasn't too extensive, but had all the staples. The only seafood on the menu is the conch chowder as the lunch special. We missed the chalkboard of specials on the south wall, so don't forget to look at those as they had some good deals. Otherwise everything is cheap and while a bit on the divey side, you get a solid meal.

    (3)
  • Larry K.

The place doesn't look like much, but I urge you to eat here if you're here at lunch or breakfast time. I had a perfect BLT sandwich - delicious bread, crisp bacon, and fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and great French fries. Service was fast and friendly. Didn't give them the fifth star because of the basic atmosphere.

    (4)
  • Dave F.

Good spot for breakfast. Every town has it's go to place for breakfast and this is it in Marathon. The biscuits and gravy is not only good it's huge, I'm 6'4" and 330, and I couldn't finish it. Server was friendly but busy. The table next to us was left covered with dishes from previous customers the entire time we were there. From outside you will think twice about going in, but go for it.

    (3)
  • Aubrey W.

Good food, quaint atmosphere and pushy service. Would come back again because of the fresh home made food and biscuits. Tried scrapple there and it was good for a change compared to back home. Good prices on food and descent delivery of food.

  • Joseph G.

Basic diner experience. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Kind of dirty and the menus were dirty which is a pet peeve. I had breakfast and the potatoes were overdone and one of my over easy eggs was broke. My wife liked her tuna sandwich.

After a string of mediocre breakfasts here in the Keys, I was delighted to actually love my breakfast!. Everything was hot, very tasty and fresh. Service was extremely fast and staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

Good, fast, cheap. Doesn't get better than that. We are here every morning on our vacation. Highly recommend!

Wooden spoons gross my husband out so we laughed when we saw the sign, learned that it was a typical greasy diner and determined we were hungover. In one word, "blah". Even a diner could put a lil' bit o' love into their meals. Burger bun cold, mushrooms raw, cheese not melted and the place was dead! It's not like they were in the weeds. What seemed to be the owner was nice, tossing a few jokes around and while I have no doubt our waitress saw our distressed faces after our first bite, she was nice.

    (2)
  • Bob H.

Our second time here in two days, good cooking, the biscuits are the bomb! If you are looking for an egg and bacon affordable breakfast, this is the place.

This greasy spoon is a great option for breakfast. The homemade biscuits are huge and outstanding. Warning: the cheese quesadilla contains bacon...not obvious from the menu. Coffee is good and service friendly.

BPs oily Whore of Babylon was burbling up from Center Earth and oozing toward Florida's Gomorrahan shoreline. The apocalypse of Gulf seafood ticked nearer with every utterance from the loathsomely nonchalant Tony Hayward's suspiciously thin-lipped mouth. As the blood moon shone over Miami's white sands, we did what any self-respecting folk would do. We stared those galloping Four Horsemen straight in their beady little eyes and said "Fuck it, we're gonna go party in the Keys." When nursing the empty, unmoored feelings that a hangover and the impending End of Times are apt to produce, my need for comfort food quintuples. And the Wooden Spoon in Marathon is the perfect antidote to over imbibing, if not to prophetically-induced plagues and pestilence. A small, divey, local-y diner, the Wooden Spoon's amazingly-aged griddle slings out good, greasy happiness sure to fill the void in your belly and soul. This is a breakfast-all-day-long place. But it's not open past lunch. The homefries are the breakfast superstar. The conch chowder was good and I had a burger there that was sublime in terms of comfort food. Almost made me forget Lucifer was on the loose. The place is also easy on the wallet. They run a regular $5 lunch special. Although I consider my finances irrelevant since we are living the End of Days. I figure I may as well spend all my money on merriment and gluttony before relocating to the Condos at the Lake of Fire Estates. The cook Lucy has been there for 20 plus years. She is a wonderful person and full of local gossip. In fact, when the trumpets finally herald the end of this mortal coil, I'm sure Lucy will be first to report the happening in Marathon. She kindly pointed out a most intriguing newspaper brief to me, detailing a naked gentleman who was found deceased in the hot tub at a fancy local resort. Then she intimated to me that he was probably having sex at the time of his demise. Wooo-wee. Lucy also told me the story behind this place's Key Lime Pie, which I noticed was maligned in an earlier review. Many, many moons ago, a local gentleman and a regular at the Wooden Spoon used to supply Key Lime pies to the place. Customers were taken with his light, whipped version of the local treat and clamored for the recipe. But the old codger guarded his ingredients and methods like the Seventh Seal. Despite her best entreaties, Lucy could not pry the Holy Scroll of Key Lime Pie from his hands. Until one day, unprovoked, the old man slipped the recipe over to Lucy. "It's time for you to have this," he murmured. Three days later, he died. So, personally, I'd be a little wary of criticizing this Key Lime Pie, if you get my drift. No one needs bad juju, especially now with the Antichrist slouching towards Marathon and all. Anyway, the Wooden Spoon, which surprisingly is decorated with an array of wooden spoons, is a great spot for ambiance, personality and food. A place where the life-giving force of food mingles with the darkly beautiful silhouette of ever-patient, ever-waiting death. But fuck it, we're all gonna die. Go with godspeed to the Wooden Spoon. Have another slice of pie and put cheese and bacon on that burger. Kiss Lucy for me. And tell her to hold fast. For the end is surely coming for us, like death came quietly in the night to that poor fornicating sap in the jacuzzi. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to take leave to Rapture-ready my bunker. Have a rockin' Armageddon, y'all!

Such a cute little breakfast spot. Had the Veggie Omelette and it was amazing, nice big chunks of veggies and cheese. Service was superb, very good place. It's got a lot of charm. Try it!

  • Amber M.

Bad choice!

  • Mike M.

We sat down at a dirty table. Waited 5 minutes and the waitress never came over. Went to the Stuffed Pig instead. I had to give it a star only because Yelp made me.

    (1)

    (3)

    (5)
  • Erica M.

Good, fast, cheap. Doesn't get better than that. We are here every morning on our vacation. Highly recommend!

  • Stephanie I.

This was your typical greasy spoon, but we loved it. Laid back and local.

  • Kyla S.

2 adults and 2 kids had breakfast (including coffee) for $20. Can't beat that! We kept it simple and did eggs and pancakes and everyone cleaned their plate! SUPER fast.

  • Glen W.

Holly is Amazing! Fantastic service, great prices, real down south home cooking! Try the Mexican omelette with chicken- spicy and filling! A bit of real Key West flair going on in Marathon. A must try !!

  • Rachel H.

So if you do, don't look at the floor, window sills and tables and don't use the restrooms either.

have had breakfast there before, food is fantastic but service is dreadful, be prepared to wait a long time and lucky if your coffee is refilled while waiting, visit on 6/1/14 will be our last

A bunch of us ate here, and really liked it. You have to remember that this is the Keys - this place is probably the best breakfast in about 50 miles. We enjoyed everything we had, then flopped onto the nearest beach to sleep it off. I love places like this.

Mike B - The Best Wedding DJ Ever. http://Http://thebestweddingdjever.com

good local diner- lots of wooden spoons on the wall as the name suggests. good breakfast $10 person total (6/2013) good ac system- almost chilly I believe it is locally owned- (much better than a chain place like the Ihop just down the street)

    (3)
  • Mark N.

Greasy, American style diner food - but better than most... heavily local crowd. was staying at the Kingsail hotel across the street so this was the logical breakfast choice.. you might consider running a few extra miles on your morning jog before coming here..

    (3)

Hole in the wall feeling to this place right down to the cheap, but tasty greasy food and bathrooms out back. Friendly service sealed the deal...will go back again.

All great!

    (3)
  • SC O.
