I stopped in for a nice dinner after heading back to South Beach from Key West. The restaurant is extremely dated and needs a makeover. They also have way to many items on the menu for any kitchen to be able to keep up, so it only makes sense why the food was so bad. For the quality of the food they deliver to the table, this place is ridiculously "over-priced". Living in Miami, I am used to paying higher prices for dinners, but this was a joke. Red Lobster would have served me a better meal for half the price. Lobster was rubbery and baked potato was ice cold. :-(

Service was great. My party had pasta alfredo, scallops and the crab cake. All were good. The salad was fresh and crisp. Desserts were nice also. The outside appearance doesn't do this place justice. It definitely needs an outdoor makeover. I would go again.

The food was okay. We ordered the conch fritters and mozzarella sticks as appetizers, which is took a while longer than expected to arrive but were good. We proceeded to the main course consisting of the lobster sandwich, fried shrimp sandwich, lasagna, and kids fried chicken strips. The lobster sandwich was layered with flavor but lacked a heavy layer of sauce which was needed. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious! The lasagna was fantastic and hard to beat. The fried chicken strips were soggy and lacked flavor as if they were microwaved. The service was typical for a quick service lunch. We were seated quickly and received our drinks promptly. When more people arrived, service slowed. Nothing abnormal. Room for improvement, especially for the prices.

The food is so-so. We had a broiled lobster tail which was fine. We also ordered the crab cakes dinner which lacked any sense of culinary delight. The decor is 80s under the sea and the service staff continually cracked jokes with each other throughout our meal. If the prices were reduced about $10 a plate - I'd give this place 3 stars.

We stopped for lunch in the way to Key West. Nice location except for the fake aquarium that it's a little bit kitsch. Excellent service, delicious food (we ordered mozzarella sticks, cobb and steakhouse salads and Bacon burger). And we expected to pay more while the check was lo light

It wants to be "upscale," w white tablecloths in most areas, separate bread plate, warmed butter presentation, unless one dines later & the ambience becomes "crash & close." The food is unremarkable: over-cooked, salty mains, bland & uninspired sides, overpriced by 25%. Could be nice experience, but needs help.

Service was SLOW -they were nice but not that busy! Food was ok. I was not very impressed withy lobster Reuben sandwich. :(

We have been to the Steak and Lobster House several times. Its a go-to when we have company and its always a hit. The food has been great every time and we have had good service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Don't let the outside of this restaurant fool you it's what's inside that counts . The attentive staff started our meal with oyster rockefeller and a delicious Caesar salads . The main course of lobster Thermador was fantastic . The white table clothes were a nice break from sticky tables and plastic plates. The wait staff was attentive the wine was delivered in a timely manner. I really enjoyed having dinner there.

So we were a bit hesitant to eat here b/c it looks cheesy from the outside however I must admit it was a fantastic meal! The interior is keysie in that you feel like your in a cruise ship but very cute and everything very clean. The service was outstanding; from the hostess whom took time to guide us with the menu to our waitress- Chrissy- whom despite only having been there for 3 weeks gave us exceptional service. The menu is extensive offering everything for seafood lovers to those more carnivorous. We decided to try the hot stone since it is unique to this Marathon restaurant. We ordered the surf and turf. To the table comes a hot stone salted and ready for us to cook our nicely sized lobster tail and 10oz filet mignon to perfection. The meat was so delicious only requiring sea salt to compliment it. It came with a yummy cesar salad and we also tried the French onion soup and friti mixto as appetizers. Finishing strong with the salted caramel cheesecake-OMG- and then espresso! Our family comes to Marathon yearly so it has become my mission to find culinary gems here not consisting of your typical Keys fried baskets. This restaurant makes that list and we would highly recommend. Enjoy!!

I don't even where to begin with how bad this place was. The restaurant staff was ill prepared and understaffed to handle our party of 67 even though reservations were made weeks in advance. And there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant except for at the bar. This was for good reason I learned later. Even my 8 year old said this was awful but she does have a more developed palette than many adults. All the food was just bland. No seasoning or spices whatsoever. My husband had the T-bone which was edible. For starters, we had the oysters Rockefeller, the bacon wrapped scallops, lobster ceviche which was on the dry side. We would not eat any of this again. The best thing this place had to offer was the bread and lobster bisque. Although my 7 year old said the butter tasted like pickles. The manager was helpful in trying to assist the staff with orders and getting the food out.

Service was great! Great menu lots of items, seems like a locals haven. Full bar and lots of people stopping in for a drink. Dinner was good. Ordered beef tips, liked they has smaller portion size available. I also ordered rice, but tasted like minute rice. My friend ordered fried shrimp, a little small but it was good. I would go back and probably order steak and try. Enjoyed there was no wait to get served.

!Best Seafood in Marathon Key! Two entrees were ordered. The special Whole Florida Lobster and the Fried Seafood Platter. 1. Fried Seafood Platter is HUGE and excellent!! Definitely will be taking some home in a box! 2. Whole Florida Lobster was delicious and baked perfectly! Do keep in mind this is Florida Lobster not a Maine Lobster so it will not have any claws to crack open. Excellent ambiance for a romantic evening!

AMAMZING. My glass of water never got below half. Food was delicious! No complaints. Definitely coming back. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

First let me say that the service here was fantastic! The atmosphere was dark and classy. However, the food was not what I had hoped for. I ordered the broiled seafood platter that included mahi, shrimp, scallops, and crab cake along with a side salad and baked loaded potato. The fish and seafood were bland and unflavorful, and I wished they had done something a bit more to it. This meal was $29, so I had pretty high expectations. My husband had the boiled lobster, he stated that his was ok. My four daughters had shrimp and salads and fries...they said their fries were the best part. There are better places to eat in marathon for sure!

The service was excellent...and then some! A group of eight of us recently had dinner there and the waiter was fantastic. Yes, it was May when we went. But when I saw turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce, I couldn't resist. I was not disappointed. We all agreed that the good was great! I highly recommend this place.
