I just moved to the area and the little black building in this plazas parking lot intrigued me. So tonight my friend and I decided to go try it. The bread was good, zucchini cake was awful as if it went bad, chicken and gyro was alright, dessert was simple and tasty-the menu said it comes in three pieces and I only got two -did the delivery man get hungry!? :) I may give another shot by dinning in to try the coffee and outdoor seating.

My wife and I had the Donner (Gyros) which were not only delicious but they were overflowing both the pita bread and the plate. Both owners are named Mehmet, No kidding. The hot sauce is made by Mehmet's wife and has a smoky flavor. Definitely one of a kind. My wife and I have been to Istanbul so we know good authentic Turkish dishes and these guys have it. The place is small and the sitting is outside but do not think this is a fast food joint. Your food is prepared as you order it. The owners are extremely friendly and so was Melissa their Spartan Greek waitress. We will be going back to try their other dishes. You simply must come and try they their food.

Tried this tonight for the first time. We ordered the gyro pita and fried cauliflower with tahini sauce. Easily the best gyro I've ever had. It was spiced beautifully, and the meat was incredibly tender. The seasoned and grilled onions were a nice touch. I could only eat about 1/2 of mine, because it was stuffed so full of yumminess. The owners were very nice. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

Despite the set-up and looks from the outside - this is not a fast food joint. The food is very high quality and there is a lot of pride put into its presentation and taste. Prices are fair for what you get and if you're not looking for a nice dining atmosphere (with prices to match), then this is the place to go. I bought an extra meal for a friend and his exact response was "Holy Jesus, where did you get this?!!" Go check it out, just don't expect it to come out super fast - but its worth the 10-15 min wait.

There are 2 covered benches available for people to sit down and eat also. Another good thing to know is that you can order and have the order delivered to your house with a minimum order of $10.00 The owners are Turkish and you can tell that they take a lot of pride in the way they cook the food. You have a lot of choice when it comes to the menu. You can order pretty much anything from hummus to gyro and salads. The other cool thing that I loved about the menu was the fact if you order any kind of meat, you have the choice of pita, sandwich or bowl which comes with lava bread. I chose the traditional chicken shish kebab pita which came with tzatziki sauce. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I loved the in house hot sauce which was some sort of mildly spicy relish. Like the other reviewers said, the portions are HUGE so you have to come with an appetite. Also, after we were done eating the owner gave us some Turkish cookies which were delicious but a bit too sweet for my taste. The service was excellent, not only did we get our foods quickly but they checked on us more than once to make sure that we were enjoying our dinner. I had an overall great experience and can't wait to go back.

They brought our food to where we were seated. The serving size was a really large amount. It was so much that I had to eat it with a knife and fork. Well worth what we paid. It was a little greasy, but after I poured the grease off, it was very tasty and flavourful. We had their homemade hot sauce on the side; which is delicious on the pita. It reminded of a pickle relish but with much more flavor. We also received a little taste of a desert. It was like a cookie and very tasty. The service was great! Everyone was so friendly. Located conveniently near my work, I was excited to see this place pop up. I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food and always looking to try new places. Located in the shopping plaza on the corner of Kennedy and 17/92, I have seen several other businesses fail in this standalone shop located in the center of the parking lot. Hopefully ShishCo is here to stay! With mostly standard Mediterranean fare to choose from, I went with my personal favorite of a Gyro Bowl with rice. I waited anxiously at the outdoor covered tables for my food. From previous reviews I knew that everything was made fresh, and could take awhile, so I was pleasantly surprised when my food came out reasonably quick. I opened up my box to find all the contents wrapped inside a giant pita. I unfolded the top and there was an amazing platter of meat, tomatoes, onions, and rice (with a couple extra sides of tzatziki). THERE WAS SO MUCH FOOD! I decided to rip pieces off of the giant pita (being used as a platter) to make mini Gyro sandwiches. After making about 3 or 4 of these I was too full to eat any more, and still had 1/2 of my meal left! Everything was top quality and fresh. The service was friendly and quick. The location is ideal for me. The prices were more than fair. What more is there to ask for? I have officially found a new restaurant to add to my lunchtime rotation!!

Location: Gray little building, red awnings and outdoors tables located in a center of a parking lot at the intersection of Lake avenue and 17/92. Amazing gyros!!! Only go to this place if and when you are super hungry... the portions are ridiculously huge! The gyro and onions were literally exploding out of the pita. Really enjoyed my first visit to this little Turkish restaurant. After going to Turkey twice and experiencing their street fare, I can definitely say that Shish Co's food is right on the money. I tried their Doner bowl and the lamb was flavorful and well cooked. If you check in through Yelp you get a 10% discount which is a nice plus. Love this place. It's basically a food truck without the wheels. There are three benches outside under a roof. Some cute lights and a few plants complete the look. I have tried just about everything and the food is always hot and delicious. Portions are generous. Is what eating local is all about! The staff is so helpful and patient, you can tell they are passionate and proud of the food they are serving. 3. To get a better look of the funky building off US17-92, of course that's assuming you're just as curious as I was. Bonus reason: HUMMUS!!!!

Thanks again to Yelp and Yelpers for helping me find a new place to go to for lunch in the Maitland area. Location: Gray little building, red awnings and outdoors tables located in a center of a parking lot at the intersection of Lake avenue and 17/92. Staff: VERY friendly Food: fresh and made from scratch with unique spices which translates to an awesome taste, takes sometime to cook but worth every bite. So far, I have tried their chicken pita and Kefta bowl ... Both plates were out of this world and filling, can be enough for two people and worth your money.

So let me start with the good. The food is definitely fresh, the yogurt sauce was really good and service was excellent. The not so good, overall I found the food to be very bland. I had the chicken shish kebob bowl and the rice was extremely bland in my opinion. Even with mixing everything together, the flavor was just not there for me. They have great review by many users, so maybe it's just me but I expected better tasting food.

Amazing gyros!!! Only go to this place if and when you are super hungry... the portions are ridiculously huge! The gyro and onions were literally exploding out of the pita. There's only outdoor seating available, and there is a bit of a wait for food. But the food is fresh and freaking delicious. LOVE!

Very happy that ive found a good falafel in Maitland! The staff is very friendly, too! Both times I went, they had me try some of their specialty items, and I must say, i havent had anything yet that I didnt like! Go visit this place! Because, in a location that has been a revolving door in the past, I certainly dont want them to disappear! Oh, and try the Bulgur salad!! I may or may not have had to get it two days in a row it was so good...

Really enjoyed my first visit to this little Turkish restaurant. After going to Turkey twice and experiencing their street fare, I can definitely say that Shish Co's food is right on the money. I tried their Doner bowl and the lamb was flavorful and well cooked. If you check in through Yelp you get a 10% discount which is a nice plus. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!

Love this place. It's basically a food truck without the wheels. There are three benches outside under a roof. Some cute lights and a few plants complete the look. I have tried just about everything and the food is always hot and delicious. Portions are generous. Couple of pro tips: Get the bowls Try the hot sauce Keep asking for Turkish Eggrolls, someday they will be in stock. Nice local place.

First timer here...grape leaves were pretty bland although I did like the lemon to squeeze on top. I wish it came with some dipping sauce, as every place I've ordered from before has served with a yogurt sauce. I ordered the chicken shish kabob in a bowl. It was SO good! Very flavorful. The owner came out with homemade hot sauce to try on top. I liked it but it was pretty spicy. I would've loved a "topping" alternative. Hubby ordered the gyro and was also equally pleased. We will be back!

The food is great! Extremely fresh. We had Kofte, Shepard Salad & Gyro. This is our second time here in a week. The two owners are very friendly and accommodating.
