I ate here twice while staying at the Sheraton (about a 15 minute walk btw). I had fish both times, the mahi mahi and the grouper (both blackened on the oak grill). The mahi mahi was good, not great. The rice was sort of bland, but cooked well. The grouper with capellini on the other hand was fantastic. Also very good drink deals, I had the $5 Old Forester bourbon. Several of them. The staff at the bar were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Can you say over priced businessman lunch? The sandwiches were plain at best and not as good as even jersey mikes. service was par, lunch was way overpriced on everything. Oh yea and don't forget 1.25 charge for your refills of iced tea. Would not go back for lunch.

Food is great, nice atmosphere. My favorite is the special on weekends, ask for the menu. Its 21$ (used to be $18) for appetizer, salad and entree. Best deal on the menu by far.

Great tasting prime rib. The steak salad is also very good. They are known for the bruescutta.

Recently enjoyed a nice dinner here with the hubby. The dinner special was Grouper Oscar with asparagus and mashed potatoes. We both ordered it, the Oak grilled grouper was cooked perfectly, very flavorful. They do cook the "oak grilled" items over a smokey grill in the kitchen, so those items have a very nice flavor. The crab for the oscar was the best quality, jumbo lump blue crab. Really spectacular, nice quantity of crab for the entree price. Yummy mashed potatoes and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. Hollandaise sauce had nice flavor and wasn't too heavy. We were able to enjoy the happy hour drink specials in the dining room, bonus! If you want the Happy Hour appetizer specials, you need to be seated in the bar. None of the happy hour info is on the website, so I'm waiting to get the full update via email. We were there early on a Thursday night and the bar was packed. Service is always great. Food is always spot on. I have eaten at this Sam Sneads forever. Occasionally I'll order out lunch, since I work in the area. Meals are always as ordered and very tasty. On Friday and Saturday nights they offer a special "on the greens" menu, 3 courses for $18. I've included a pic, it's a very nice deal.

Brought a group from work here the other day. I have had lunch here 5 times this year and the food is always excellent. The service is solid too. Great place for a business lunch and if you save room for desert, the chocolate sack is amazing.

Tried this place out for the first time last night with some friends and between the excellent service, the great food and the inviting atmosphere, they've gained a new customer for sure! Prices are just above average but well worth it. I think I'll try out the happy hour next :)

I probably would give this place 5 stars if I'd been here more than once. First off, I LOVE the atmosphere here. It's different from any other restaurant I've been in. It feels like an upscale bar thats themed around golf. It's definitely bar food though. It's named after a famous golfer obviously - Sam Snead lol. You can see it right off of Maitland Blvd but you gotta drive through RDV to get there. Tricky peeeps. It's right in the business area so between 12pm and 2pm, you can bet they get that CA-RAZY lunch rush. I saw a lot of business lunches here; a lot of people had papers / laptops with them. Lookin' super busy . . even at lunch! How about enjoying that break, guys? ;D They also have this amazing-looking full bar where people like to eat there as well. I had their Chicken Tender Salad for lunch and woww. Their chicken tenders are SO good. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, not dry at all. Very flavorful and not boring to eat. I had ranch with my salad and I liked their ranch. It was too thick, just right. (That's what she said.) Sorry :x lol. I also had their onion soup. It was actually really good. I've only tried french onion soup once before this so I didn't have much expectations. It wasn't too salty and the swiss cheese they use was so yummy! Their service was awesome! Our waiter was very attentive but not annoying. Our drinks were always full and he was good at recommendations. Besides the fact that I work in the area, I would definitely return to dine here! I want to try their dinner menu :)

Three of us had dinner. One ordered a cocktail that came totally different than ordered. It was changed out. The cheese burger was fabulous, lots of cheese and cooked to perfection. The prime rib was another story, it came to the table looking grey, not pink...The artichoke appetizer was excellent. The third meal, a steak was perfectly done and very tasty. Frankly I think they could do better in the over all and the prices are high for the quality you get. I much prefer Stonewood Grill to this offering for steak and prime rib. I likely won't make a trip back to Sam Snead's any time soon.

This is a quaint sports bar and eatery. The menu had many options, including some for vegetarians. The food quality was fine, but none of us found the food very memorable. The service was unfortunately very slow when we went, but it was still a pleasant meal.

Love their chopped salad and ahi tuni app the most. Steaks are delish of course and they usually have a good dinner special. Great happy hour with super cheap apps and drinks. You can usually get a restaurant.com gift certificate for 25 off 50 or 50 off 100 which makes it easy to splurge cheaply here.

Stopped in here after a long day at Renningers. We were starved. I had the grouper sandwich with fries. It was delicious. Perfectly blackened. The fries were crispy and flavorful. The tarter sauce was flavorful and just as good as a dipping sauce for the fries. I definitely recommend trying Sam Sneads.

This place is the easiest/nicest to meet for a business lunch in the area. I always enjoy their burgers, which are typically cooked well to your temp. choice, served with some above average fries. I am a big fan of their Arnold Palmer drinks, as they are made with fresh lemonade and iced tea. The prices are a little high for some things, but overall quality at least reaches the price in most cases. I have had an issue with them over cooking burgers, but they quickly turned that around and served me an entire fresh plate within minutes. I signed up for their email blast, and they send out good coupons like $5 off $25 lunch or $10 off $40 for dinner. As an added bonus, the emails also come with free drinks or appetizers on you or your spouse's birthday. Every little bit helps.

Went in on a Saturday evening just around the time of opening. I had the "Sam's Burger" and it was pretty good. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, the specials, and what the best sellers were. The food was decent and had flavor. Since the establishment had just opened, there really wasn't a lot of people in the dinning area, but a few stragglers were filtering in. A little pricey, but not too bad.

This restaurant is a surf and turf. When I walked in it smelled like fish. But you get use to the smell. The restaurant has a nice decoration and bar. The food was good. I had steak and vegetables. My coworkers ordered ribs and appetizers and they too liked it. If you are in the Maitland area I suggest you visit the restaurant.

I love this place and the staff was great. I ordered a streak Burger and it came out so awesome I had to order another one. It may be in the best spot considering its in Maitland its still an awesome atmosphere.

You know, I used to like Sam Snead's, but in the past years, the food has gone way downhill. I could take it or leave it - mostly, leave it. The ahi tuna was not as fresh as it could be and the chicken salad was just ok. They got rid of the steak salad on the lunch menu, but you can special order it. The service was ok this time, but the time before, my friend and I waited for a long time for our order to be taken, and the waiter forgot to bring our appetizer.

It was so much better years ago when they had the metro west and downtown locations... lots of specials that were very tasty ... now the menu is more like fridays... Still the grouper and crab cakes are consistently good, though a bit over-priced. I will also say everyone who works there is really great: When I had a small problem with an undercooked dish the manager was himself unnecessarily apologetic and awesome. Class act, hope they get back some more gastropub adventure in the kitchen.

Don't let them give you a table near the bar if you're looking for a relaxing dinner! I've eaten here a couple of times and usually the service and atmosphere are good. Not this time. Our waitress (who didn't give her name unless its I'llBeRightWithYouLadies) needed a pair of roller skates she was flying by so fast and didn't even wait for answers. She called me "darling" which I personally can't stand. We were seated along a wall near the bar and a table of loud mouthed obnoxious guests (who were unquestionably over-served) who cackled and howled through our entire meal. My friend only had a couple bites of salad before our dinners were set before us - I felt rushed. The food was actually very good so yay to the chef. The drinks weren't good, one too strong and the other too weak. The manager look like a disheveled mess, like she had been doing dishes in the back. She asked us if anything was wrong and because we just wanted out of there we said nothing. Not what I expect for $85.00 tab for two people.

Just awful! Possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had. Made reservations to come here on a Friday night for my boyfriend's birthday and it was beyond disappointing. They seated us right beside the bar, which was full of rowdy and obnoxious patrons, and our server couldn't have been less enthusiastic about her job. Normally I don't mind a dull server because I know how hard their job can be, but this lady was downright rude. She expected us to know what we wanted to eat before she even took our drink order, and after we actually ordered it took over an hour to get our food because she admittedly forgot to put in the ticket. If the service wasn't appalling enough, their food certainly did the job. The $25 scallops were frozen and my boyfriend's steak came out cold. I managed to choke down one of the chewy & slimy scallops before pushing my plate away because they were just too sad to eat. After asking for the check, it took another 20 minutes to get to us. I might've complained if it wasn't a birthday occasion but by the end of our visit I was ready to leave and never look back.

A couple months ago I would have given Sam Snead 5 stars, but currently they rate a 2. I always order the Cobb Salad. It is a colorful salad chock full or tomatoes, guacamole, bacon, blue cheese, cheddar cheese and lettuce. However, lately they have been skimping on the lettuce. The cheapest ingredient and you get less of it. if anything, cut back on the tomatoes. its really upsetting to pay $15 for a salad and they skimp on the most important thing..LETTUCE. If you think im crazy, me and my coworkers order the cobb salad and they all came back really light on the lettuce. A few of us have sworn off Sam Snead because of it. for shame sam snead.

I got an email coupon & went to Sam Snead's for the first time for lunch today-- I was sooo impressed! From the moment I walked in until I left, all of the staff were so amazingly friendly and cheerful (sadly that's not the norm when I usually go out near downtown). The flatbread, oak grilled chicken and oak grilled veggies were all absolutely delicious. We were seated in a really cute booth across from the bar. The atmosphere was upscale and realaxing and our waiter was top notch. I would definately go back for a working or casual lunch, and hope to try their special weekend menu sometime soon. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with the staff (and the food).

Just moved to area.saw some yelp reviews and thought I would give it a try. Good choice. Started with French onion soup which was yummy. For dinner I had the rib eye which was cooked perfectly. Only complaint was mashed potato were only lukewarm and slightly dry. Wife had fish and chips. Being from Boston we know our fish and chips, and this was OUTSTANDING! Hot moist and flaky with perfectly seasoned batter. Price for quality of good was excellent too. Definitely going back

This place is a little over priced for what you get. I've been to two different locations and had the same result. Staff is slightly pushy and ask way too many questions, the flat bread is good and perfect size, the grouper is ok. The grouper was dry and small portion, but the flavor was good.

Every dish I had here was over salted and had WAAAYY too much garlic in it. Don't get me wrong, I love garlic; but when you can't taste anything else in the dish, it's too much!

Thoroughly a great experience thanks to superior service! Had a waiter with a bartender's personality, named Tim, making it a great night. Not only was he entertaining and funny, but he sincerely wanted us to have a great experience. They even came up with a special entree based on the awesome shrimp appetizer we loved so much over pasta with a creamy garlic sauce and lobster. Now that is service when your waiter has the kitchen create a plate not on the menu for you. Then there was the wedge salad that was a meal in itself, basically half a head of lettuce. Comes with Ranch dressing typically, but they substituted blue cheese at our request. They top it with fresh bacon, a lot of it, so if you are ordering it for anything except your main course, split it with someone! In any case, thank you Tim and the rest of the staff at Sam's for a great evening!

Went here for lunch one weekday while in Orlando. Well worth the trip from Kissimee. Best crab cake I ever had. One of the best caesar salads I have ever had. Burger was very good. My wife loved the reuben sandwich. Very lean and tasty. And excellent waiter named Chad.

Lame mostly tasteless rib eye - had much better at Longhorn for $10 less. Big juicy scallop appetizer was good but didn't taste vey scallopy. Overall, too pricey for mediocre food. Disappointed.

I've been going to Sam Sneads for years. Working in Maitland, happy hour options are limited. This place has a full bar and the bartender mixes up some great drinks. On the food front, it's hit or miss, with a lot of miss. The vegetarian selection is sad, and the mexican is sub par at best (wayyyy too greasy). The tuna sashimi is good, and sipping an Arnold Palmer on the patio is a nice break from the work grind. This is a very popular place to take business clients for lunch - just ask for a black/white napkin to match your outfit so you don't leave with white fuzzballs on your black dress pants.

The food is ok. I would go back for just a decent casual dining or formal lunch because of the ambience. I ordered the crabcake burger - crabcake was ok. yes I am picky with my cakes!!

Had a business lunch here and it was possibly the fastest I have ever been served my food. Ordered the turley sandwick which came with very tender Avocado and real sliced turkey...very good. Also had a nice side salad which was also delicious. I will definitely stop in again when I want some good food and am in a hurry.

Crab cakes - delicious. So I've lived in Altamonte for what feels like forever and until a couple days had never experienced Sam Snead's. As I had assumed, the prices seemed a bit over-inflated but the food was still par for course. Can't say I was overly impressed. I ordered the crab cakes with fries, coleslaw and sweet tea. Crab cakes - OMG - super good but you only get one so it's not the most filling. Fries - they're fries. How good can you really make them? Sweet tea - excellent. Not sugar-rush/crash sweet but still very tasty. Coleslaw - eh! I've certainly had better. Bread - yummy but it's kinda hard to screw up bread. Overall, it was a good experience (mainly thanks to the crab cakes) but can't say I was super impressed, especially not with the prices. I believe the majority of their business comes from the fact that there really aren't too many other restaurant choices around the RDV Sportsplex.

Since my husband works in the area, we've been here a few times and were never disappointed. Plus he has been here for work lunches. (It's not appropriate to take them to the Chick- fil-A.) There isn't much to choose from in this area so we are pretty lucky to have Snead's! Their food is really good and they have an amazing French onion soup. Service is fast and classy. It's also nice and dark inside which is a relief sometimes from the Florida heat. :)

Went there for lunch today since a friend works in the area. The decor is nicer than I had imagined it would be -- very dark, lots of wood -- and the tables were sectioned off with fairly high walls so if it weren't for the hostess, I would have never found my friend. You'd think the walls would help with the sound, but it got quite loud during lunch and I could barely hear my friends from across the table. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and the service is great. We got our meals just the way we asked and it came very quickly. There was only one thing on the lunch menu that was vegetarian, so I do wish they had more variety for non-flesh eaters. One friend got a crab salad that was not listed on the menu, and raved about how delicious it was. Another friend got a wood grilled chicken salad and was not pleased with it. The chicken ended up being deli slices and she said it was sour instead of smoky. My salad was okay, nothing spectacular. All in all, I'd say it's an average restaurant that I probably will not go back to again unless I was in the area and couldn't find another place to eat.

Before coming to the Orlando for business, I was told the area was known for chain restaurants. I expected the PF Chang's, TGI Fridays, Applebee's, etc. But I'd never heard of Sam Snead's. It was near where we were going for work and had a nice sign - I know, terrible way to pick a restaurant. But a tavern? Why not? Once inside, it looked like a typical steakhouse. Not as dimly lit - but it had the deer's head on the wall, wood wall coverings...Seemed pretty popular. We were seated near our other colleagues (who had also chosen the restaurant on their own) and checked out the menu. Nice array of choices and plenty of good looking appetizers - we were starving!! We started with the Bruschetta. Grilled thin slices of bread, doused with (too much) olive oil, and a nice tomato/onion/basil topping. I probably wouldn't get that again or say that it was worth ordering. I'd heard the crabcakes were awesome, and we were at a steak place, so all three of us got the filet mignon and crabcake. It came with a side veggie and selection of a starch. The filet was fabulousssss - really enjoyed it. The crabcake was good too- A LOT of crab. The grilled asparagus was good but the saffron rice was somewhat bland. Dessert: had to get key lime pie. I love key lime pie so I had to have it in Florida. It was just as good as ever; perfect graham cracker crust, totally tangy and topped with shaved lime rind. Since this place was so close to where we were working, we went back again for lunch a day later. I have to say it was not as good as my dinner...I had a salad, which was not so hot. And I got a hamburger because I figured the beef had to be good. It came out well done though instead of medium well, and was pretty rock hard and burned. Not a fan. The french fries were OK. We'd also gotten the spinach dip with tortilla chips - tasted good but it was more of a cheese whiz mixed with spinach; a little different. The chicken niblicks were weird and not someone I would have picked. Fried won tons with shredded c hicken and some kind of creamy sauce. Wouldn't get those again. I must say, the servers I had were really, really good. Especially the first time we went here. I was so impressed. Orlando has awesome customer service. I wish we were so lucky in California!!! 3.5 stars to 4 stars - dinner was great, but lunch was so-so.

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Altamonte so Sam Snead's was one of the only options without driving a ways. I had the bone in strip steak and was surprised. Very good steak for the price. They were very generous with the potatoes, would have been happy with some veggies on the side as well. Better than Friday's, Applebee's, or numerous other restaurants with crap on the walls.

I like Sam Sneads. They do some things very well & some things are just all right. But, with that said, I always have a nice experience there. Obviously, the only one left is the Maitland location. I used to really like the one downtown and frequent the Longwood location because of it's convienence. In fact, so much so, that I threw a party there several years ago. They did a top notch job. Absolutely great! I've been going to the Maitland location for a while. Always did love their Seared Ahi Tuna appetizer. On this occasion a friend on I shared a flatbread & I had the Salmon. It was good. It wasn't overcooked, which is a plus in my book. But it also wasn't anything spectacular. And when you come down to it - it was fine for the price, etc. The restaurant itself offers a very nice atmosphere and is clean. Service is good, but they should know how to properly serve wine. Sorry, and yes, I'm a wine snob, but simple things should be known. Especially, if the host tastes, then the guest should be poured before the host's glass is filled. Yeah, I know some may consider that petty, but... My friend was looking to have a shot of Drambuie with his coffee & they couldn't get it right at first. Granted, the bartender did do it above and beyond afterwards by serving it warmed in a nice snifter. Again, Sam Snead's is definitely a nice place to go. I would place it more on the upper end of the casual dining places.

It's local, it's convenient (right off I-4) and does not disappoint. I've been to the tavern a couple of times now for lunch. It's a bustling businessman's lunch spot. Nice selection of large salads. Toppings include chicken, salmon, or ahi tuna. Plenty of other interesting things on the menu including a daily special. Tomato basil soup starter was excellent and my colleague reported his french onion soup was very good too. Service was excellent on both visits however the dining area noise with a full house was a little on the loud side so conversation was a little amplified. Small nit to an otherwise good place.

l always heard good things about this place,so I decided to give them a try.My wife ordered the chicken Marsala and said that it was OK .I ordered the Ribeye. What a great steak there was hardly any fat on it .This is hard for a ribeye. The atmosphere was good .The noise level was low.You could not ask for any better service. Our glasses never went below half full. The only down fall was the dessert menu, for a high end steakhouse they only had three cakes to choose from. I would go back because food and service is great.

Good food, loud restaurant: Overall we had a very enjoyable experience at Sam Snead's. We were seated at lunch time and the place quickly filled up and got very loud. The crab bisque was amazing!! The burger I has was good but a little plain but my companion's club was very good. Even though the place was packed our server was quick and attentive.

Cool place to go for a casual dinner.. Start off with the cheese dip, its A+++/then all the grilled chicken plates or the burgers are top notch.. Usually a good happy hour crowd from 5-7.. Good stuff.

The crowd is mostly a business oriented type of clientele. Sam Sneads is located in the same plaza as the RDV sport center. Never been to their dinner service but lunch time is very busy and reservations are highly recommended, especially if you have a big group. Service: great customer service from the minute you walk in, hostesses are very friendly, waiters and waitresses are very knowledgable and most importantly, the owner is on site in a daily basis to make sure everything is running smoothly. Food: I probably tried almost everything they have on their menu except for the salad. They used to have an apple almond salad which was one of my favorite but they took it off the menu. Sam's burger is tasty, it comes plain with lettuce and tomatoes, however, they do offer toppings such as mushrooms, bacon, fried egg, avocado, cheese for a little extra. You can also substitute the fries for onions rings or a house salad for a little extra. I would also recommend the Patty Melt for that category of food. Chicken sandwich is good as well, I wish the portion was a little bigger especially when the bun is bigger than the piece of chicken breast. You can order it oak grilled or blackened and I prefer a side of honey mustard to go with it. You can also add some havarti cheese to go with the sandwich for a little extra. "Mexican" infusion menu: personally, I don't think this portion of the menu fits this restaurant nor do I think they have chefs capable to make it taste anywhere near Mexican food. I order the quesadillas here in there hoping that it would taste better but it never does, not to brag but I can better tasting quesadillas than the one they serve. They don't have a specific kids menu but I am sure you can order a little cheeseburger sandwich for the little ones and I would highly recommend their chicken tenders as they are great and tasty. Sam's turkey sandwich is one of my favorite items on the menu, ask your server to toast it for you, it just tastes that much better and I order mine with only turkey, avocado and sometimes cheese, no to everything else (bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo) The grown up version of the chicken tenders is served with fries and cole slaw salad. The restaurant offers daily specials, usually in a combination of soups, salads or half sandwiches. Their onion soup, chilli soup, chicken tortilla soup, clam chowder soups are all great. Chicken salad sandwich is also a good choice, I just can't order it anymore as my stomach doesn't do too well with the mayo. Thursday's are meatloaf special days: two big size portions of meat served on top of a bed of mashed potatoes, very tasty, very filling and available while they last. Sometimes they sell out quickly, but other times you might get lucky and they'll have some left. Seafood plates are a bit out of our tables price range but for those seafood lovers, they have (I think the newly updated menu still has) crab cake sandwich. My favorite is the oak grilled trout but it's a seasonal item now. I think I've written enough about this establishment for the moment and I'll update my review in case I forgot few details here and there about certain menu items.

We have been here at least 10 times for lunch and dinner. I have never had a bad meal. Their food is very good and the service is wonderful. Everyone is kind and welcoming. We have been when it is slammed and still have had quick and caring service. The atmosphere is kind of fancy, but still comfortable. I like the open kitchen. Prices range from super affordable to a bit pricey. However, we don't mind pay a little more for the delicious food. Some of our favorite meals have been, the top sirloin with mashed potatoes, fish tacos with avocado, and the cobb salad. The key lime pie is one of my favorite all time pies! Good for a date night or business lunch, but also very family friendly. Love this place.

Great lunch spot. The prices on the menu aren't bad for what you get. Great service and good food. I had a patty melt with fries for $13. The patty melt wasn't the traditional. Was more like a cheeseburger on rye bread. I didn't mind though, it was still very tasty. Service was quick. Waited 10 minutes to be seated and ordered shorty after. Total of 1 hour from start to finish.

Sam Snead's is an acceptable enough tavern. The service is always good, if a tad slow due to the constant crowds. I have never had a drink here as it is always for a lunch, so can't comment on that. The margarita flatbread is absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend it. The other things I've had are just average - chicken tenders, fish and chips and a burger. Due to the location, Sam Snead's will continue to be a popular business meeting spot, and deservedly so. It is way better than somewhere like Applebee's, but isn't amazing.

I'm always wary when a restaurant claims to have "the best danged burger in town". I'm also cautious of restaurants named after famous golfers, but with his restaurant being one of the only ones near the hotel I was staying at, I figured I'd take a chance and swing by. And yes, I got the burger. It was great. Added an egg and got it with onion rings. The patties are hand pressed twice a day (according to our sweet server) and most of the stuff on the menu is prepared in house, including the corned beef used on the Reuben my buddy ordered. I'd go back

I got prime rib here for a business dinner. I am thrilled that I did not pay for this. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't worth the amount it cost. Pretty expensive place. Service was good, at least. I don't think I would come here on my own dime.

Came here with all of my family to celebrate all the birthdays August. The first thing I noticed was how full the restaurant was on a Wednesday evening. The next thing I noticed was how noisy the restaurant was. (sorry, one of my pet peeves. I do not enjoy shouting to have a conversation with friends and family while I'm out to dinner.) I looked around and saw all of the flat surfaces that cause this. Don't get me wrong this restaurant has a beautiful interior giving you that Gentlemans country club feel. The walls are just cram with pictures of Sam Snead and all of his accomplishments as a golfer. They must have spent a small fortune just in framing and artwork. Since we were meeting my sons and their Ladies not all of us were there at the designated arrival time. While I waited I had crab cake appetizer. It was delicious. The texture was just right, and not too much breading inside. We all later at some beers and some wine which were served very nicely. Our server Michael was very knowledgeable of all the beers that were on tap. I had the Queen cut prime rib which was served with mashed potatoes. The temperature was just right. Made for a very enjoyable meal. Others at the table had a salmon special. They also were very pleased with dish. Kudos to our server. When we arrived we informed him that we had a restaurant.com coupon. This had no affect on the service or attitude. Thank you for a lovely time.

I loved this place. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I had searched for a place on yelp and you never know when you are in a new neighborhood (I'm from California), but this place was excellent and not overpriced. I ate the shrimp - new orleans style. DELICIOUS! My partner ate the steak - she loved it! Also had the key lime pie - OMG! YUMMY!

Sam Sneads is a little spot I like to go to with friends late at night when I'm looking for a place with good food but that's not super crowded. They have wonderful service and their prices are very reasonable. I have yet to have a dish that I did not like. If you sit at the bar and eat you have access to the TVs to watch whatever sports channel meets your fancy. Also the Dirty Martinis there are second to none!

Love the chips and spinach dip and the house salad with ranch is scrumptious. Great place for a business lunch or date night. I like that it is dark which sets the mood. Service has always been stellar. As a individual diner, the bar is perfect for one.

Sam Sneads is a great local restaurant and bar. It's the perfect spot after work for all the surrounding businesses. Try the combination bruschetta - a sampling of three versions: traditional, salmon and goat cheese. The crab cakes are also really good.

The only possible way this place stays in business is its proximity to hotels. Lot's of people eau g here per diem. There is no reason to waste something as precious as a meal here. This place offers nothing.

I had some scallops with thai sauce and some veggies. Good ambience, very cozy, and you can go with your family or for a date too. Our server was nice and I would definitely recommend it.

I have to say that I wasn't expecting too much on my drive here from Tampa. I've never been to a Sam Snead's before, but I was coming with the same food expectations that I do with most "sports" bars. I noticed right away that this wasn't really a sports bar. It's a nice looking restaurant and I was greeted by 3 or 4 people who were all very friendly. They also did something that I wish more places would do. On business lunch meetings it is very rare for all parties to show up at the same time, so it usually leads to phone calls and texting about where I'm seated, or just waiting somewhere. They actually seated me and asked who I was meeting so they could greet that person and show them to my tables. That's a rare customer service touch that I really appreciate. I didn't get to try too much off the menu, but the Cobb salad I had was outstanding. There must've been a whole avocado in there, plus mounds of turkey, bacon and eggs. One of the best Cobb's I've had. Next time I'm in that part of Orlando for business, this will be my go-to spot.

The tuna app was fantastic. It was great to choose between sesame, pepper corn or neither for it. Went with sesame and it was perfectly cooked. Had the Cajun shrimp special - WOW - spicy, flavorful, and filling!! I go here every time I'm in the area for work and never disappointed.

First time coming here a couple of months ago, came here to meet an old friend and we had dinner with a couple other people. The food was ok but a bit over priced and this place was nothing specially for me. Service was not bad and the place was busy with people. The decor is not bad but as far as the menu and the food this place was nothing that would make me want to come here very often.

I like Sam Snead's but I find it completely over priced for semi-better than Chili's food. I believe because of the location and the prices this one Sam Snead's in my area is geared toward the business professional and the local hotels. The walls are covered head to toe of golf related items much like Olive Garden tries to make you feel like you are in an Italian family's house; or how Bennigan's tries to make you feel like you are in an Irish pub. I can't really write any thing that was special about it. Nothing memorable.

Nothing impressive here. Boring menu items and even their salads aren't exciting. Atmosphere is nothing more than a stuffy sports bar. Save your time and your money and go elsewhere.

Great place to eat whether you golf or not. Excellent menu of foods and wines. The decor is warm and casual. Lots of wood and bench seating. The flatbreads wear fabulous. Bring family or friends and enjoy the place. Ask for Marlene for your server, she was excellent

Very upscale country club feel, perhaps a little 1983? Think lots of wood with forest green and cranberry accent walls, plus brass. The waiters are all dressed in ties and very serious. Ours was pleasant enough and brought drinks and food out quickly. The wine prices were pretty normal and the steak was good. No real complaints, but not really all that great either.... A little boring? I felt like this would be a place my 60+ year old parents would enjoy. Hostess seemed apathetic, staring at her watch and the door... With hopes to leave soon perhaps?!

This was my third visit to this establishment and it still impresses me. The warm artichoke dip appetizer was decadent and delishous. The blackened grouper with capellini pasta was fantastic. My business partner had the shrimp and lobster pasta dish and did not leave a morsel which is saying a lot coming from an Italian. Will come back again!

My bf and I weren't very hungry when we visited so we ended up sampling the appetizers. The steak and blue cheese flat bread was decent - the steak on it was great! The actual bread was crispy (kind of like a cracker), but it wasn't bad and it complemented the tender steak really well. But if I get this in the future I'll definitely ask for extra blue cheese. The steak/blue cheese ratio was pretty uneven. If you''re considering the guac and cheese chips - reconsider. The guac was good (but it's pretty hard to mess up guac, especially if it's homemade), but the salsa was bland and the cheese chips were nothing special - just plain tortilla chips with melted cheese. The best part of our appetizer "meal" were the chicken quesadillas. They were so, so, so good! And the portion was perfect for sharing. We'll definitely be returning just to get these again (tortillas fried in butter + cheese + caramelized onions + chicken...you can't go wrong!). I skimmed the rest of the menu. As previous Yelpers have pointed out, the prices are a little inflated, but for a restaurant that's within walking distance of our home it was definitely worth the visit.

The restaurant is old school boys golf clubhouse. It's really nice but the food is average. Not a whole lot different than chilis but in a better atmosphere. The shrimp cocktail is a huge disappointment if you've ever been to St. Elmo or Mastros. We sat at the bar and had burgers. The meat was nothing to speak of but the cheeses had great flavor. Onion rings were just meh. The people next to us had the pulled pork nachos and they looked very disappointed. After driving by for years we finally stopped in. We'll try it agin because it's on the way home from the airport and it really is nice on the inside. I'd like to think the steaks are better than the burgers but I get the feeling all the food here is on par with other national casual dining places. No stand outs but good enough. Prices are a few dollars more than outback or similar and food is no better or worse.

i went to sam snead's for lunch with a few colleagues, and thought that overall the experience and food was alright. the menu was probably appealling to a large audience, but i thought that it felt a little bit limited in terms of the variation of ingredients used or getting something that would be a very flavorful or interesting choice. i decided on a basic salad with chilled asparagus with grilled chicken and the dressing on the side. the asparagus was cooked well, a bit of crunch but just tender enough to have a great texture. the chicken was fairly basic, but luckily not too dry. i might recommend sam snead's for the picker eater or a large group, but it is not a particularly memorable meal or menu.

My husband and I went here for lunch as he was hungry for a burger. I got the special which was a chicken salad sandwich. The service was good although a bit cold as another person had previously commented on. My chicken salad had no flavor at all. I kept putting salt on to try to give it some flavor. And for $30, not sure it was worth it for a bland chicken salad sandwich and a burger. Not in any hurry to go back anytime soon.

Service was good server not too personable. We got our food very quickly and he did check up on us often. The food is a bit pricy for the quality, it was good but the trout was under seasoned and didn't have much flavor at all, the steak Flatbread was pretty good though, I wouldn't pay as much for either again though.

We have been going to Sam Snead's for 4 years. The last 3 or 4 times we have gone the food is not cooked as ordered...the service has sucked and when we complain, the new female manager just shrugs us off. Tonight when we ordered our appetizer...our plates were dirty with dried food on them. My husband ordered the filet mignon cooked medium. It arrived very raw. Of course he asked for them to cook it more and it came back microwaved tough with no flavor. He didn't eat it. We told the female manager AGAIN how unhappy we have been the last few times we have been in there. She just shrugs her shoulders and says "It's hard to cook a filet". Really? That's what we're freaking paying for! We will not go back until they change management and change out the snotty hostesses.

Even though the decor is interesting, the food was mediocre at best my steak came out rare when I asked for medium rare. Worst mistake is letting them fix it because it came back well done. For the price you pay, the food is ok - just know you are not getting anything close to Morton's quality at all. Only good thing was Betsy, my server, who was amazing!!! I would only suggest this place if you are looking for a place to have a drink, other than that I should have ordered room service.

A benchmark standard for the corporate dining experience, in which every interaction with the server, though cordial, feels scripted down to the word. Food is fine, but hardly noteworthy. If you would like to experience a similar display of soul-crushing faux hospitality, I recommend you initiate a chat with the automated voice menu system at an airline or large bank.

Sam Snead's is tucked away in the corner of the parking lot of the RDV Sportsplex in Maitland. A bit of an odd location in my mind but that shouldn't deter you from checking it out. The food is standard All America fare with everything from huge juicy burgers, wings to steaks, chicken fingers, fish and more. The food tends to be a bit on the pricier side but in this case the old adage of "you get what you pay for" holds up. Every meal I've had here has met if not exceeded my expectations. No processed, fast, microwaved food insight as far as I can tell. I also feel like the service here is a step up from your standard Chilis, Fridays or other restaurants in that category. Whether it's lunch, dinner or just a drink at the bar Sam Snead's is worth a visit for those in the Maitland area.

Went here because it is right by where I live and it looked like a nice place to grab dinner and a drink. The atmosphere in this restaurant was perfect. Every Friday and Saturday night they have a weekend special which includes an appetizer, salad or soup, and an entree for only $21!!! I had the wedge salad and the prime rib (I can't remember the appetizer I had...). The food was delicious and our waiter was absolutely wonderful! I definitely recommend this restaurant! If you go make sure to ask for Dustin! He was probably one of the best waiter I've ever had!!! Also, they're on restaurant.com , so that give you just one more reason to go!

Really great happy hour! food is excellent and beats any regular fast food sit down. Chilis, Applebee's etc. ate at the bar both times Mark and Theresa great duo. Prime rib was excellent, and flat bread pizza was larger than I expected. Will make this a regular stop when I'm in the area. Very close to the Sheraton north...

This was my first time here with my husband. We met some friends there for dinner. We weren't impressed. It started off with not having a table ready for the 4 of us even though we had a reservation. The manager took care of us by giving us complimentary glasses of wine while we waited. That was the best part of the experience. The food could have been better for the prices they charge. I had the crab cakes for dinner which seemed to be fresh out of a frozen food box. My husband got the pork chop and it was overcooked. Our friend's steak was not cooked to her liking either. She wanted medium rare but the outside was burned and tough. The inside looked more rare than any kind of medium rare. Our friends had been there before and had better meals. Since this was my husband's and my first time there, it wasn't that impressive and we don't see us going back.

My wife and I were there a couple weeks ago for first time. She ordered an Arnold Palmer and I told her, as waiter was taking order, that they did not serve that but she could get a Sam Sneed. Will, the waiter, picked up on this right away and said yes she could have a Sam Sneed. It was very funny. You guessed it she is not a golfer. Any way we ordered and my steak was a little overcooked and "Will" said let me get you another one, I said no as this was just fine. Within a minute, "Sharon" the manager came over and said please let us replace it the way you prefer. Said no it was fine. Needless to say we were very impressed with our waiter "Will" and the manager "Sharon". In fact we went back there for dinner two nights latter and really enjoyed our evening. The entire staff is very efficient, courteous and friendly. Oh yea we will be back when we are in Orlando.

This restaurant is in the same parking lot as the RDV, so there tends to be a lot of sports fans here. It's also located near a lot of businesses, so it can get pretty busy for workday lunches. The most recent time I visited, it was to hit the bar, with a group of 6 of us at 3 on a Friday afternoon. We were all able to sit at the bar, though all of the bar area tables were filled up. We all ordered several drinks and our bartender, Mike, took quick care of anything we needed. The draft selection is the downfall for me. There were a number IPA's on tap, but not anything less than mainstream and most of the beers were really light. This trip we didn't order any food, so I'll leave that review to others.

(4)Phil M.
Can you say over priced businessman lunch? The sandwiches were plain at best and not as good as even jersey mikes. service was par, lunch was way overpriced on everything. Oh yea and don't forget 1.25 charge for your refills of iced tea. Would not go back for lunch.
(2)Alex S.
Food is great, nice atmosphere. My favorite is the special on weekends, ask for the menu. Its 21$ (used to be $18) for appetizer, salad and entree. Best deal on the menu by far.
(5)Leslie S.
Great tasting prime rib. The steak salad is also very good. They are known for the bruescutta.
(4)Lisa W.

(4)Lisa D.
Tried this place out for the first time last night with some friends and between the excellent service, the great food and the inviting atmosphere, they've gained a new customer for sure! Prices are just above average but well worth it. I think I'll try out the happy hour next :)

Good food, relaxing atmosphere, excellent service. Would definately go back next time I'm in town.

(4)Marsha W.
(3)Rebecca V.
This is a quaint sports bar and eatery. The menu had many options, including some for vegetarians. The food quality was fine, but none of us found the food very memorable. The service was unfortunately very slow when we went, but it was still a pleasant meal.
(3)Joanna C.
(4)Kim W.
(4)Brian M.
(4)Patrick B.
(4)Enrique C.
(3)Eddie A.
I love this place and the staff was great. I ordered a streak Burger and it came out so awesome I had to order another one. It may be in the best spot considering its in Maitland its still an awesome atmosphere.
(5)Heidi A.
(2)Sam C.
(3)Vikki F.
(2)Shaina V.
(1)Michael R.
The food was amazing, and the service equal to that. Loved the place and will definitely come back!
(5)Megan B.
(2)Elizabeth L.

Definitely going back
(4)Geoff P.
This place is a little over priced for what you get. I've been to two different locations and had the same result. Staff is slightly pushy and ask way too many questions, the flat bread is good and perfect size, the grouper is ok. The grouper was dry and small portion, but the flavor was good.
(2)Philip L.
Every dish I had here was over salted and had WAAAYY too much garlic in it. Don't get me wrong, I love garlic; but when you can't taste anything else in the dish, it's too much!
(2)Rich A.
(5)Fred B.
(5)Andre C.
Lame mostly tasteless rib eye - had much better at Longhorn for $10 less. Big juicy scallop appetizer was good but didn't taste vey scallopy. Overall, too pricey for mediocre food. Disappointed.
(3)Kim F.
(3)Joy J.
The food is ok. I would go back for just a decent casual dining or formal lunch because of the ambience. I ordered the crabcake burger - crabcake was ok. yes I am picky with my cakes!!
(4)Shad B.
Great place to eat and a terrific staff. One of the most professionally run eating establishments in the Greater Orlando area.
(4)Jamison E.
Had a business lunch here and it was possibly the fastest I have ever been served my food. Ordered the turley sandwick which came with very tender Avocado and real sliced turkey...very good. Also had a nice side salad which was also delicious. I will definitely stop in again when I want some good food and am in a hurry.
(4)Leslie W.

Salmon was good. Rice was poor. Service was alright. Too many questions, though. Just feed me, bro.

First of all the service is always wonderful. love the food . you get anything from a good steak to a huge sandwich.. it can be a little loud at times but it worth it. this is a true gem

(4)T P.
Good Happy Hour, but if you go at any other time, it can be quite pricey and not worth it.
(2)Paul M.
l always heard good things about this place,so I decided to give them a try.My wife ordered the chicken Marsala and said that it was OK .I ordered the Ribeye.
(4)Janene H.
(4)Jason U.
Cool place to go for a casual dinner.. Start off with the cheese dip, its A+++/then all the grilled chicken plates or the burgers are top notch.. Usually a good happy hour crowd from 5-7.. Good stuff.
(4)Ben B.

IDK any one reason why this place does not have a 4 at least... Service is top totch every time.. rather it be at the bar or table side... food has yet to disappoint. And they have a very nice happy hr too.
(5)Aimee L.

Showed up in tank top and shorts, as this was a travel day. Was made to sit in the patio, because of my attire, I could not drink inside. It's F'ing Florida!!!!! Not classy enough?! I am a senior engineer for Microsoft you putz!!!!!!
(1)Toni D.
(5)Riley B.
(3)Charles W.
I'd go back
(4)Jared V.

YUMMY!
(5)Michelle B.
(4)Hillary B.
Love the chips and spinach dip and the house salad with ranch is scrumptious. Great place for a business lunch or date night. I like that it is dark which sets the mood. Service has always been stellar. As a individual diner, the bar is perfect for one.
(4)Sheri R.
Sam Sneads is a great local restaurant and bar. It's the perfect spot after work for all the surrounding businesses. Try the combination bruschetta - a sampling of three versions: traditional, salmon and goat cheese. The crab cakes are also really good.
(4)King L.
The only possible way this place stays in business is its proximity to hotels. Lot's of people eau g here per diem. There is no reason to waste something as precious as a meal here. This place offers nothing.
(2)Leny H.

(4)Chris M.
(4)Scott C.
Enjoyed the meal, staff was very friendly and service was great. Would defiantly go back.
(4)Tom A.
(3)Digital B.
(3)Lindsay D.
Nothing impressive here. Boring menu items and even their salads aren't exciting. Atmosphere is nothing more than a stuffy sports bar. Save your time and your money and go elsewhere.
(1)Robert W M.
Great place to eat whether you golf or not. Excellent menu of foods and wines. The decor is warm and casual. Lots of wood and bench seating. The flatbreads wear fabulous. Bring family or friends and enjoy the place. Ask for Marlene for your server, she was excellent
(5)Kalynne M.
(4)Allison W.
(4)Chelsea B.
(3)Jeffrey V.
(3)Jamie H.
i went to sam snead's for lunch with a few colleagues, and thought that overall the experience and food was alright. the menu was probably appealling to a large audience, but i thought that it felt a little bit limited in terms of the variation of ingredients used or getting something that would be a very flavorful or interesting choice. i decided on a basic salad with chilled asparagus with grilled chicken and the dressing on the side. the asparagus was cooked well, a bit of crunch but just tender enough to have a great texture. the chicken was fairly basic, but luckily not too dry. i might recommend sam snead's for the picker eater or a large group, but it is not a particularly memorable meal or menu.
(3)Amy M.
(2)Kaye W.
Service was good server not too personable. We got our food very quickly and he did check up on us often. The food is a bit pricy for the quality, it was good but the trout was under seasoned and didn't have much flavor at all, the steak Flatbread was pretty good though, I wouldn't pay as much for either again though.
(3)Sarah S.
(1)Elizabeth V.
(2)Chuck D.
(3)Seann G.
(4)Jacob D.
(5)Elisa H.
Food is mediocre.
(2)jeff s.
(4)Sheryle W.
I have to say that I really love this place. Prices are a little high but service and atmosphere are great and most importantly the food is excellent !!!! It's very cozy. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
(5)Kimberly B.
(2)Jim R.
(4)Jessica B.
