Definitely a dive bar which in my opinion is not a 100% negative thing. If you don't like cigarette smoke, cheap drinks, and loud, obnoxious crowded-type bars, stay away. Saturday late nights are best: live band; lots of drunk women (majority 6's and 7's). Gets very crowded though, starting around 11 or so.

They've improved on the menu in the last few months. Some of the best burgers in the area. Onion rings are great. John, the bartender, is kick ass! We go on Thursdays for Team Trivia and always have a great time. Some day I hope they'll spiffy up the bathrooms, though.

Nice local place to hang. Trivia on Thur nights is lots of fun. John at the bar is very good at remembering names/faces/drinks. Live music on weekends. If you go, order the fried mozz sticks, you'll be glad you did.

I liked this place a few years ago but it's really gone downhill. It looks really empty every night I drive by and the last time I actually went, the decent beer selection was tiny. If you want Bud Light or PBR then great, if you want good beer then too bad. I also remember it smelled really musty, like the carpet desperately needed cleaning. Such a shame, it's so close to where I live and it'd be great to have a decent dive bar nearby. Most dive bars are way better than this place.

About the only things I appreciated about my visit at "The Hangout" was the band playing (Brick City), the non-smoking interior and the decently priced PBR tallboys. The rest was pretty unbearable by all accounts. I know this is a dive bar, but even a good dive bar should have some cleanliness action going on. The men's bathroom was meh and the women's bathroom was filthy and overflowing from what I was told. The fact that the place was almost empty and most of the clientele had some sort of relationship/friendship to the band should be a good indicator that something needs to change with this place if it wants to be a successful business.
