love napkins on the table. with sugar, sweet & low... and jellies. good bacon... great catfish with breakfast.. silverware is covered in a small bag. good grits. eggs done correctly (over easy) brought butter with order. friendly. turned down the fan at customer's request. they have collards. and yummy home fries made from red potatoes.yum! Only thing is ... I would wish they would bring silverware as you set down...saw kids play with them (extra ones at the table) and put them back in the bag. They need to put a mat outside... dirt on floor over the front with construction workers and their boots walking in. hope they have a sweeper. wish more places would serve GOOD Quality Bacon... I would rather pay more for that then the cheap no meat just fat bacon. It would be more cost effective if they asked you if you wanted 1 or 2 pieces of toast. Hubby loves his smoked ham and turkey in a pita.

I was skeptical since its in a strip mall. It was a hidden gem!!! So much food for such a small price and it was delicious! The server was exactly what you'd expect in a movie with a diner scene! You can get stuffed for $3.99!!!

Come here if you want to wait 15 minutes for water, 10 more minutes for a menu, and watch people, sat after you, eat whilst waiting another 20-30 minutes for your food. OR you could leave because your food STILL never arrived.. SMH

Great little restaurant with great home cooking food a great value for the money. They have two locations I go to the N.O.B.T all the time. Very friendly staff

Cafe Perks is what I would consider to be a perfectly serviceable diner. Is Guy Fieri going to be showing up on their doorstep? No. But neither will you leave here feeling dissatisfied. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and the food was basic diner fare at a reasonable price. It was obvious that they have already cultivated a crowd of regulars at this most recently opened location. It was nice to hear servers addressing them by name. If you are passing by and wonder if you should stop in for bite, I have no reason to dissuade you.

I've been to this place a few times and I always had a good experience. The food isn't the best but is good, especially for the price. The staff is also really friendly

Wow. That's what I say when I'm pleasantly surprised. Debbie greeted us the at the door with a smile and offered us any available seat. Before I could blink she was front and center with coffee and juice. Bam! There it was. The food we had was as great as the service. Clearly these folks know what they are doing given the fact that 4 other people coming through the door after us were greeted by name and pleased to be there. I had a Spanish Omelette. My wife had cinnamon French toast. Both meals were a slam dunk for 5 stars. So glad I passed up Perkins! Btw Debbie noted my desire for spice and brought me some home made hot sauce that cleaned my sinuses and tasted terrific. Can't wait for my next drive through here. I'm stopping in for lunch!

Great breakfast, highly recommended. Staff is always friendly and they always have an affordable special. Even without the specials food is reasonably priced.

Great staff, Eggs Benedict was good, but nothing to write home about. I will go back to try some of the other items.

We celebrated Small Business Saturday this year with a visit to this location of this local Orlando chain. This is a great little local diner and while the offerings are simple, they are well done. I went for Biscuits and Gravy, opting for a special that included a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy, two eggs, and an order of bacon for under $6. Hubby opted for a Works omelet which included everything but the kitchen sink and looked glorious. Based on the squeaky clean plate he left behind, clearly it tasted great too! My mom likes breakfast sweets a lot and was drawn to the Vanilla Almond French Toast. As she hoped, it came wonderfully encrusted with sliced almonds, browned from the griddle. Our waitress was lovely - helpful with menu suggestions and ever present with the coffee.

My wife and I try to get here at least once a month. The food is always good. I like to get the country skillet and corned beef hash. There is more than enough for both of us, and we usually end up taking some home for the next day. Their coffee is hit of miss. Sometimes it's great, other times it's really bitter. I have asked them if they are using different brands, but they say no. I have tried most items on the menu, and have only found one thing that I didn't like. That was the turkey bacon. It tasted- well let's not even go there. Suffice to say I won't be ordering it again. Overall, I would have to say that I have never had a bad meal and the service is excellent. The portions are huge, and the food tastes great.

We try and make it by here at least once a week. Great diner food and daily blue plate specials. Huge portions and breakfast served anytime. Sometimes service can be fair when they a full dining room. Patience is a virtue.

Tried this place for the first time this weekend. While it wasn't bad, I can't really say it was great either. When we walked in we were told to sit where ever we wanted. That's normally not an issue, but it was pretty busy and we had never been there before, so we kind of stood there for a second wondering where to go. Obviously, this is only an issue for a first timer. We sat at the one place I could clearly see was open, which was right next to the front door. That was a bad choice, as it was hot as hell in that spot. The service was fine. We didn't have to wait long for drinks or anything. No complaints here. The food was fine I guess. It was probably on par with something I could have easily made at home. That's the issue with breakfast... everyone's making the same stuff, so yours better stand out. There was nothing that stood out with this food. I ordered the "2-2-2-2" with french toast. The sausage was pretty bland and the bacon as a bit over cooked. The eggs and french toast were ok. Nothing really noteworthy. It's not so much that this place is bad or that there's something wrong with it... it's just not as good or any better than the 15 other breakfast joints that are within 2 miles of it. I can think of 4 or 5 places I would rather go to that are within a 5 minute drive from here.

A nice breakfast place busy with locals. Had a Mediterranean omelet with hash browns. Fantastic and easy on the wallet. Service was friendly and welcoming to this out of towner. Try homemade hot sauce!

We're not sure what's going on lately with the Longwood location??? They have typically in the past had good food at fair prices, however, over the last 3 months or so the food is fair if that. I would stay away from the lunch items and go straight for a traditional breakfast - what they're good at. The service is good but, not good enough to spend the money on half of a plate of food that ends up in the disposal. Back to H&M in Sanford!

Breakfast is my favorite meal and I think that Cafe Perks will be the place I go if I'm not making my own. The omelettes are fantastic and everyone in the place was friendly. It wasn't just an enjoyable meal it was also an enjoyable experience.

Took the family (me, wife, two small children) in for breakfast this past weekend and I'll echo the diner compliments for Cafe Perks. I like a good simple breakfast and my pancakes and sausage were good and my wife had a healthy omelette with some spinach and turkey and she liked it. More importantly, the kids menu gives you plenty of choices and my four year old ate all of his pancakes, eggs and fruit and that just about never happens. I did notice on the way out that there was a stuffed pancake special, so lesson learned - read the board behind the counter on the way in. The staff could not have been nicer, so if you're looking for a good diner spot for breakfast in the Longwood area, this is your place. I enjoyed it more than some of the other diner establishments focusing on breakfast in the area.

Breakfast was nicely prepared ~ the eggs were done to order and the hash browns were crispy and not too greasy. My husband's omelet was tremendously large and fluffy. Lots of coffee and prompt service makes it a trifecta of goodness.

Can I say CATFISH!!!! It is the BEST! I don't even like breaded meats, but this one... is amazing! I sometimes stop in JUST for the catfish to go. Staff is excellent and friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone!

OK, been there 3 times now for lunch...I think they've earned some Yelp love from me. Here in Central Florida, we have not been blessed with the traditional style of diners that a lot of us have fond memories of. But Cafe Perks, does a pretty good job with its traditional menu, whiteboard specials, friendly service, and good quality food. Each time my wife and I have been there, we've walked out stuffed and with a bill of around $14. That's a pretty decent bargain when you compare it to eating at some of the local fast food establishments. You can choose from your typical assortment of breakfast specials, burgers, sandwiches or specials that might include fresh turkey with all the trimmings. No particular favorites, everything we've had has been delicious. Note, there seems to be 3 places like this within a mile there in Longwood...this is the best of the 3. One of these places is going to further distinguish itself at some point by staying open for dinner...or, the horrors of it, late into the evening. After a Friday night football game at Lyman, I would love, love, love to have a place like this to go to. Alas we're stuck with Denny's or Steak and Shake. A hometown joint like the diner in Oviedo would really be fun! Anyway, this place gets my recommendation...get out and support our local businesses!

We usually visit Cafe Perks in the morning for a quick stop off and some great breakfast before heading out to get the days list of chores done. The food is good and the service is better. The staff is always extremely friendly and once you have been there a few times they know exactly what you want to drink before you even sit down. The only thing preventing this place in getting a 5th star is the fact that the menu selection is very bare-bones. It's basically broken down to Eggs and a side, omelettes or pancakes/french toast. If you are looking for anything else it's a la carte or not on the menu.
