This sis a hidden jewel. Great family style restaurant where many businesses deals are discussed. The owner is Greek so many Greek influences can be found here. Try the Venus special which is a knock off of Joes Special from Strawberry in Marin County in the San Francisco area of California

This is a typical diner. The food wasn't bad, but it was nothing special, I could easily make all of this at home and it would have tasted better and been cheaper. I ordered eggs with the waffle, the eggs never came but we were charged for them. When I was out of coffee, three people walked by and asked if I wanted more, I replied yes to all three and the last girl was the only one to ever come back. The service wasn't bad, but our waitress definitely did not care about us once our food came out. We were in and out very quickly and it was a pretty cheap meal, but I would not come back. We found this place by searching for brunch places on Yelp. I would not consider this s "brunch" place. They have breakfast until 11:30 and then they serve lunch. To us, brunch is mimosas and bloody Mary's with the option of breakfast or lunch. None of that is available at this restaurant.

Venus is the best, bar none, for Breakfast in the Largo/Bellaire Bluffs area. Just ate there today and had the 2-2-2 breakfast. This is one of the few places that serves real grits, and cooks them the right way. Sunday can be really packed so be prepared. I Used to eat here 3 or 4 nights a week for dinner. (it is way easier and cheaper to eat out than to try and cook dinner for 1 or 2 people and have a variety) The cod was always fresh, however, the Greek influenced dishes were their specialty. The soups, (a different one or two every day) was great too. Service is and was always good, but it depends on the waitress, ask for Joy, Pat, or Carol if they are there. I would give this place 5 stars but I am still looking for the right diner to replace them for dinner. They are now only open until 3pm. Choosing to close early was kind of a slap in the face to those of us that kept them busy in the off season. They had to be making money the place was always crowded. I kind of miss the old gang too. Not only was it a great place to eat it was also a great place to meet friends and relax. I do hope they decide to reopen in the evenings for dinner. Venus was a welcome relief to an area loaded with upscale and chain restaurants. While there are other Greek/Albanian Diners in the area open for dinner none of them are as clean, courteous, accessible, with great food and service as Venus.

We tried this place because it had a 4-star rating on Yelp. This place does not deserve 4 stars! Although the service was friendly, the food is mediocre at best. The Greek salad I ordered was below average. The lettuce was exclusively iceberg, which isn't uncommon and nothing was rotten, frozen, or too old, but there was nothing great. The potato salad was yummy and the Greek dressing, which they served in a plastic cup, was pretty good. The scary parts were the mushy peperoncini, the tasteless cucumber slices (2), and the olives. Olives on a Greek salad are supposed to be Kalamata, they're also generally a purple color. The olives on my salad were black. BLACK! They were also smushy & pretty gross overall. I also ordered a spinach pie. It had clearly been cooked in a microwave. It was chewy & bland & icky. The place was clean and, like I said, the people were very nice, but I don't think I'll ever go back.

Best breakfast in Largo! We've tried others durning our years of coming here. No where compares! The service is fast and friendly. Very often the owner himself comes to check on you. Nothing we've ever ordered has ever been less perfect! Best pancakes I've ever had! The waffles and crepes are awesome too. My husband's favorite is the 2-2-2 meal. Two eggs, two sausage, two bacon, and hash browns.

Stopped in on a Sunday for brunch. Venus is that typical family owned diner you see so many of in this area: Stuck in the '80's decor but reasonably clean and pleasant. Our server was great and sitting out in the covered patio area was really nice. Dad had the pancakes, hubby had a huge breakfast skillet, and I had eggs, sausage and fruit. The sausage was very good and everything else was fine. Not "woo hoo", but fine. Good coffee. Ran about $21 for the three of us before tip; not bad. Ladies room was clean. I have more favorite places for breakfast in the area so not sure this would be my first choice, but I would not mind returning.

Venus really is the best family restaurant in its category. Huge selection, excellent prices, great service. Waitresses are very attentive and service is quick. Bus staff refills drinks all the time and prebuses tables. Some of our favorites are greek salad, corned beef and cabbage, pasta dishes, and soups. This is the only family style restaurant we go to, highly recommend

Don't you just love family-owned establishments? People that really care about their craft and they do it really well. The Venus is just that. This is a small family diner with a lot of character. I've had nothing but good experiences here. Yes, it's typical diner food but there's something about it that makes it extra special. Just a note: The prices are amazing here. Their homemade falafel was AMAZING. Super moist yet crunchy on the outside. It came with fresh/creamy tzatziki sauce that just put it over the top. We ordered lamb gyros along side a huge Greek salad. The lamb was very tender and seasoned well. And not to mention it came on a nice big toasty piece of pita bread. There's nothing like it. I'll definitely continue to come back here. Everyone has been nothing but friendly. (If you're unsure of what you want -- ask for tastings! They will gladly give you a sample of the food. I recommend doing this for their soups.) The service is great, atmosphere is relaxed and the food... yummy.

Staff is nice. Eggs were cooked properly. But hollandaise had a funny taste. Some spice that didn't belong in...food. English muffin was burnt and Canadian bacon? Thin slice got lost.

Microwaved spinach pie is gross and that is what they serve. You can't eat it until the center cools and by that time the phyllo is as hard as a rock. They ovens don't they? I mean, they are supposed to cook the food right? I can buy frozen food and put it in the microwave at home. Next time I want spinach pie I am going to Publix.

Best breakfast in pinellas county. My grandparents were going to this place back in the 70s. This place flat out rocks and always has great food and service. The best breakfast period!

Nice little family run restaurant. Nice breakfast or lunch. I like the shaded patio where you can enjoy a meal in the fresh air. Manager is very polite and attentive staff. I particularly love the Greek salad with grilled chicken. Good prices.
