Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This has to be the best place in Largo for Pizza. Everything here is just great. The sauce is fantastic. The potato rolls are to die for. This is just a great place to go for great food. They know how to do it right.

Sardo's used to be great and I have no clue what's happened. I suspect a change in staff and/or management. Although they used to have awesome food... lately it's been horrible!!

Man...great Meatball Parmesan Hero! I picked up my wife after work and told tonight we are going to a good place so I pulled up into here. She didn't tell me she ate 2 hours prior so she ordered the Zeppolies, Excellent! But looking around at what they had I kinda wanted everthing but I was really in the mood for an Authentic Meatball Hero and I knew I wasn't gonna be disappointed. We took a take out menu and we are planning on getting a large Sicilian this week and I also told her to be on guard for when she leaves work I'm already going to have something ordered for pick so she can grab it on the way home. Can't wait. I only give 4 stars right now because I need to eat more from Sardos, doesn't mean there not 5 stars. The place is clean, they have been in business since 79', good people and helpful on deciding on what to order because it can be overwelming because like I said I wanted everything.

Get ready for a jaw working chew fest! The sauce was tasteless, no spices, just dough and cheese. Still looking for a good pizza in Florida.

No bad but not Great either. Pizza was bland (ham & mushroom) & the Greek Salad did not have potato salad on it. I wouldn't go back

Awesome pie, awesome sandwiches! I had two slices with pep, and my wife had the Brooklyn Bomber, a Roast beef sandwich made on Sardos bread. Fantastic! You also get quite the cultural entertainment as well. It's like watching the Jersey Shore with older dudes. But, no beef with the pizza pie heres eh!?! Wish youse delivered pies in Clearwater.

Great New York style pizzas....diverse menu....reasonable prices....pizzas are HUGE!! Decent delivery time as well.

A NY-style pizza joint with gourmet pizzas! I've had some of their specialty/gourmet pizza in the past and they have always been really good. I decided to try one of their specialties, the Stromboli, which had pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and cheese nicely wrapped in bread with tomato sauce on the side! Very good and reasonably priced. Also, try a personal pizza for $5 or a calzone! This may turn into my go to pizza place.

This is the best New York Style (or any style) pizza around. We moved from PA where the pizza is phenomenal, and have had a very hard time finding something comparable. Thank goodness for Sardo's.

Sardo's used to be in the Seminole Mall many years ago and now he runs his own free standing shop on the corner of Ulmerton and Seminole Blvd. It is now called Super Sardos and the pizza comes by way of Brooklyn. It is an outstanding example of authentic NY style thin crust pizza perfection. This is one of my #1 goto places for takeout pizza in Pinellas, and with good reason. All the key ingredients (dough/bread, tomato sauce) are made on site, and it shows in the flavor of the pies here. The pizzas coming out of the brick oven here are definitely special and are a step above the other NY style thin crust offerings from other local establishments.

I love Sardo's. This place is my favorite pizzeria in Largo. I order from Delosa's sometimes, too, because they are closer and my boyfriend likes that they have boneless wings, but I would honestly prefer to just eat at Sardo's every time. Their customer service is so much better than any of the other places around; I have never dealt with anyone abrasive or rude at all, even if there's been an issue with my order they are always accommodating and I think they've offered me free knots like twice for really minor stuff. Normally I'll get pepperoni/cheese pizza or stromboli, which are great. Last time i branched out and asked for a Margherita pizza on the traditional crust. It was really, really good but totally different from Margheritas I've had elsewhere. I think they put black olives, roasted red pepper or pimento pieces, fresh tomatoes, garlic, mozz, and ricotta. I loved it, and it was a welcome surprise. I will continue choosing Sardo's over other takeout places unless there is a pressing need for boneless wings.

What a surprising find! It was late and I just wanted a slice and Yelp led me here. I wasn't disappointed. I arrived about 45 minutes before closing and grabbed a slice of their stuffed meat pizza. Since they only had two left and it was closing, they threw both in. One was more than enough for me and I was so sad to have to leave the second slice at my hotel - I really wanted it, but a 6am flight didn't allow me the opportunity to enjoy it. Frankly, one of the best parts of the experience were the staff - they were so personable and just plain nice. Great job guys - I look forward to my next visit.

Pretty tasty choice! Got a meatball sub, garlic knots and 6 medium wings. Pretty impressed with all of it. My only regret is not getting a pizza. It looked really good. Just means there will be another trip to this place. :)

First time at Sardo's ! We had a cheese and pepperoni large pizza, large is large, large slices, wow! Delicious, cooked perfectly and just the right amount of sauce and cheese! Breadsticks were a little overdone but still good, garlic knots are very garlicky ( which I like) but my younger children didn't care for. We also tried meatball sliders and medium wings, the wings were the most fresh and delicious wings I've had yet in Florida! The owner, Santo, is super friendly and personable! We will be back Santo! Thanks for a great lunch!!

I've only ordered pizza to pick up once but hubby says the SMELL was all New York in side the joint and we hope to visit and eat in very soon and try other things on the menu. The pizza was very good and exactly what we expected.

Great pizza and the Italian cuts sandwich is unbelievable. Also this place offers its own bread so if you do get a sandwich definitely get the Sardos bread. Also pizzas are fantastic. Sicilian style, New York style, ect. I ordered a Sicilian supreme and had it delivered to a local bar. The pizza was so major I made like 10 friends just sharing the bounty that was this pie. Croquettes are a little soggy, which is why only 4 stars but other than that it is a great pizza shop.

Excellent pizza. Very comparable to Michael & Vito's in St. Pete Beach. Great crust (although a little thicker on the edges than I usually like), cheese, roni, but a little pricey. I still think Michael & Vito's is better, but only slightly better. Garlic knots were kind of dry - needed more butter. They're kind of cheap on the crushed red peppers though. The guy gave me four little packets of peppers for two 19 inch pizzas. They're not diamonds, guy. But it is one of the best pizzas in Pinellas.

Can't get enough of this place! The food is awesome! Haven't had anything that I wouldn't order again... Pizza, pasta, lasagna, and my favorite, the Stromboli! Seriously, go eat here now!
(5)Jenny A.
The pizza is delicious! If just reviewing the food, it deserves 5 stars! The inside is a bit diner-ish. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. You refill your own drinks. But the booths are comfortable and the people are very nice. We tried the Margherita specialty pizza. The combination of cheeses and fresh tomatoes, olives, and herbs was outstanding. This is definitely my new go-to place for takeout or delivery.

Can back I to town for half marathon this weekend. Ravioli was delicious and the Stromboli is one of the best I have had. Delicious!

Yummmmmmmmmm. Edit: @Brent - This particular visit I had a slice of the GRANDMA PIZZA (fresh tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil, Sicilian dough) and a slice of their PIZZA BIANCA (mozzarella, ricotta, grated cheese, fresh basil). Delish! Previously I've had their PRIMAVERA BIANCA (spinach, broccoli, mushroom, tomatoes & onions), Old Fashion Pizza (special oven baked sauce topped with fresh mozz, tomato, garlic ,& oil, parsley), and cold Italian hero on their HOMEMADE SARDO BREAD (Ham-Capocollo -Salami-Provolone) Perfection. Every. Time.

The pizza at Super Sardo's was Huge, delicious, and reasonably priced. We got a ham and pineapple that you can taste was handmade with fresh ingredients. it was delicious! we also had the garlic knots which were pretty good and pepperoni calzone. Since it was our first time there the owner gave us free drinks which was really nice of him. just so we had something to sip on while we waited on our to go order. If I wasn't moving in 2 days to Illinois THis would become a regular for me.

Here's the rundown on Super Sardo's Pizza: The Good: - Great tasting pizza - 3 blocks from my apartment - Giant caricature of Mr. Sardo's face on Supermans body greets customers from the street The Bad: - $3.05 for an average sized slice?! They do have a daily deal however. $5.99 for 2 slices and a drink. I take what i dont eat back to the casa and scarf later I'm always on the lookout for a good pizza shop to substitute the urge to pull into a drive through for some fast food. Sardo's does just that. Watch the parking lot for my fresh 1990 Corolla, ill be inside beasting on some 'zah with jalapenos. BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!

Mr Sardo is arrogant, sarcastic and disrespectfully nasty
