Huge portions and great food. Fun menu, with good crepe options and interesting benedicts. Service is good, but gets a little harried when it gets crowded, which is frequent on weekend mornings.

The food is AMAZING!!! Take It from me I'm a fat guy! Choco waffle is good. Home fries are the best I've ever had. The staff is awesome. My wife and I go there every Sunday and we've had bad service ONCE. And that was a while ago when they were still getting organized and started.

I've been to Proino several times and always have had a delicious meal, wonderful service and little to no waiting. I don't know what else you can ask.
(5)Leah C.
Came to Proino's today for the first time and WOW is the word that comes to mind. It was the best breakfast and lunch spot that I have ever been to in this town!! Everything was so fresh and Maria was our server and she was absolutely amazing! The menu is so well priced, really get a huge bang for your buck here. I will defiantly be a regular customer : )

Well, We have eaten here at least 6 times since they opened. All I can say is, both the food and the service have only gotten worse since opening. We WONT be back. I have never taken the time to write a review, however, this seemed needed. We ate breakfast there yesterday. It was fairly busy, however, it took 42 mins for our food, then, one out of the 2 meals were wrong, the wrong sides, out of drink for more than 15 minutes, the server kept mummbelllllling under her breathe every time she walked by. Then at the end, the brought the ticket with no pen to sign. We asked for one and she said under her breathe, "FU" and walked away. we said, OMG, did you hear her? needless to say, that was OUR LAST visit here

I, too, do not agree with some of these negative reviews. I took my family to this place on a Saturday morning, being forewarned here that reservations would be best. This was unnecessary because at 10:30 am the place was hardly packed. We had a 5 minute wait while they set up the tables. After that, we were sat comfortably. The menu is full of options (my favorite were the variations on Eggs Benedict), both for vegetarians and for children. When it arrived, the food was made with fresh ingredients, and served in large proportions. A full bar was made use of (I know, before noon) to while the initial moments of our decision making over the menus away. We ate reasonably soon after we ordered, with the assistance of a very humorous and friendly waiter. Coffee came at regular intervals, and we were able to sit and chat through the meal in peace from other patrons. The Eggs Benedict were very good. The kids ate well, which can be difficult in many situations where the family is eating out. Each kids meal can with fresh fruit of excellent quality, also. All other members of the group were very pleased with both meal and atmosphere. All in all, this was a great experience for a large group that included small children. I'd recommend this place before you decide on the basis of a few bad reviews.

Delicious breakfast offerings, fresh ingredients and my experience with service was excellent. The fresh squeezed orange juice was like sticking a straw right into a Florida Orange, so naturally sweet and fresh! I ordered a spinach crepe that was tasty. It came with eggs that tasted very fresh and sausage that was perfectly seasoned and didn't taste like it was from a commercial brand. I can't wait to come back!
(5)Lou M.
Orange juice and grapefruit juice are really good and fresh, but it seems like they serve quantity over quality. The fruit plate alone was enough to feed the whole family! The food is ok and a good value but not the greatest place for foodies to adventure.

After a few months to get over the previous experience, I had a lunch meeting scheduled. From all of the other good reports I have heard about Proino, I wanted to give it another chance...and wouldn't you know I had the SAME waitress. Happy to report she was attentive and our food was prompt and plentiful. I requested special order of egg whites for the spinach omelette and she was happy to accommodate that request to any omelette. It was delicious. Asked for fruit instead of home fries - it was a photogenic assortment of fresh bananas, strawberries, kiwi, cantelope, mango pineapple, grapes and a few others. Definitely large portions, tastey and fresh. Obviously I must have been on a bad day for my first review - but I digress and happily recommend Proino's. I will be back for some waffles smothered in bananas! Plenty of good choices.

I literally just made an account to leave a review for this place. I was super excited to come here because it is close to my home and it had great reviews. My husband and I have been sitting here for about an hour others have been sat around us after Our arrival and have been served their food already! The couple to the left of us and three ppl to our right. At first I was like ok they are busy I understand I will be considerate, but after seeing others getting their food before us made me a little upset. Our food finally came and my hash browns were burnt and my husband never received his toast and his food was cold. I honestly don't think I will be coming back here. The food is pretty much like ihop or Perkins.

It sounds like Alissa C. is trained in nothing more than complaining and getting something for nothing. I hope her child somehow learns better values. Come on now, if Proino is serving rotten food, Alissa, then how could you let your kid eat their meal? I ate at the same Walsingham location this morning. I had The Royal Experience served by a very friendly and helpful server named Maria. The Royal Experience features strawberries, bananas, blueberries and raspberries along with crepes, French toast and English cream. I commented on how totally plump and perfectly ripe the blueberries were, a rare find. All of the fruit was delicious. The portions are beyond generous. I walked in hungry but was able to finish only half. My experience was the opposite of Alissa C.'s, which included paying for a darn good meal and leaving a generous tip.

I've been here several times...on not so busy occasions and hadn't had great service. I went in with my two young kids and they didn't come by after getting my food to ask if there was anything I needed so I had my breakfast without hot sauce. Plus no topping off of coffee. Then on Father's Day....it was busy but to not get ur food for 1.5 hrs. And waitress telling u the food was coming couple times. My husband who is patient...decided to leave. We had lots of young hungry kids. Good servers know the impatience of kids. I did get my fruit smoothie a little to room temperature. Really sucked. Don't bother to go if service is important. Even the owners don't know how to deal with customers...no apology...no personality. Just saw a review that Mother's Day must have been the same. They can't seem to handle the volume.
(2)Jeff R.
This restaurant food is very good. It is also kept very clean. Sometimes food taste awhile to come out to you but that's not always the case. the only problem I have is the parking is bad when you get out of church and getting something to eat. They need to improve on their parking.
(4)Seth F.
This would be at least 4 stars if the staff had any idea how to bring/refill drinks and take orders in a timely fashion. Calling this a slow dining experience would be a slight to slow dining experiences. Now I would rather eat someplace that draws out the the meal instead of rushing you out the door, but at least keep the drinks/coffee fresh. The food is quite good. The atmosphere is nice. This place would be one of the best breakfast joints in this area if the staff was remotely concerned for the diners.

Largo needs more places like Proino! I've been there a few times now for breakfast. The service is friendly and food is good. It's breakfast so the food isn't mind blowing, but it's good. Portions are huge. The food reminds me of places I have been for breakfast in Montreal and other French Canadian areas. It's worth trying. Also, it's worth noting that people in largo aren't big Yelp users. This place typically has a wait on Sat and Sun mornings, but there are only 7 reviews?

Horrible! A total waste of time and money! We went with our daughters one Sunday morning. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was that they appeared to be very over staffed, and they were all congregating in the middle of the dining area. We were seated quickly, although it put us off a bit that 3 people were involved in seating us and getting the high chairs and boosters... yes, 3 people, not sure why but I guess that's what happens when you have that much extra staff. After they figured out the seating I asked the hostess if they had a gluten free menu, as my oldest has several food allergies, Gluten being one. She sd they did not, and then proceeded to tell me that she could not have bread, and pancakes but most everything else shld be "fine". When our waitress came to take our order I told her about my daughters allergies and she looked dumbfounded, did not even right them down and prob did not put any sort of allergy alert on the order. My husband and I had thew fresh squeezed OJ, which was not very good. In order the make good fresh squeezed OJ the oranges need to be ripe... they obviously were not. We ended up ordering the breakfast club Benedict, an omelet and sides of bacon, hash browns, and fruit for our meal. Hubby's Benedict was OK as far as he was concerned, although he did not care for the way they poached the egg. My omelet was OK, but a little dry and flat. Our biggest complaint food wise was our sides. The home fries that came with our dishes were not cooked all the way through, under not seasoned at all, and obviously not fresh my guess is they were frozen. The Hash browns were again not cooked and obviously not fresh. They reminded me of the ones you used to make in those milk carton type containers... gross! I did not let my daughter eat them. I told our waitress and she switched them out for home fries(oh boy), but was not at all apologetic. It also was like a parade of people bringing out our food, my husband sd he counted 5, yes 5 people 3 of them were carrying 1 small side plate, a piece. They also brought and charged us for an extra side of ham, despite us telling them we did not order it. Once we were finished the waitress took way longer than she shld have to get us our check , Which came out to $43... for 2 adults and 2 kids under 4... for breakfast. We will def not be going back!

Despite the reviews on Yelp I gave this place a try today. My mom has been telling me how great it is for some time. I am so glad I listened to my mom (don't tell her I said that!). The restaurant is very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was great and so were the prices. I had a special "Christmas omelet" that was loaded with cheese, ham, spinach and onions and then placed inside a crepe. It was served with a small slice of pineapple and watermelon and had a side of breakfast potatoes. Delicious! Couldn't even eat half of it. Mom had the $6.95 chicken quesadilla special. It was also great and included a big bowl of fruit and a bowl of navy bean soup (which was great, too!). My friend had the $6.95 Club special which also included a big bowl of fruit and the soup. We all left happy and full!

The food is very good. The portion sizes are large. You could actually share a meal. The selection is good and the fruit is fresh. The place is clean. The only bad thing I could say is that it Is a little loud. Will be going back again.
(5)Tammy M.
Food is amazing!! Service exceptional. Only drawback to us was the cafe like atmosphere and we can get past that.
(4)Debi D.
WALSINGHAM LOCATION IS GREAT! Best breakfast in Pinellas County!! Food and service was excellent! Indian rocks needed a place like this. Can't wait to go back
(5)Patricia R.
We have been here several times. We've never had to wait for a table. The staff is always friendly and the food is pretty fast. I have no idea where these bad reviews are coming from. We haven't had a single issue. The food is always great and the fruit is better than any I've ever been served in a restaurant.

Ducked in to meet a Realtor and talk digital and social media, she suggested the joint. I liked: * Cool and modern decor * Spotless and clean * Located in swanky Largo, FL * Portion size was awesome * Food came out immediately * Plenty of nearby, free parking I disliked: * Our large booth wasn't very comfy to sit in * The menu has too many items, hence paralysis of analysis * No paper towels in the bathrooms, jet-fan dry apparatus only * Cheap flatware, that was really flat. Probably so the retiree set that frequents the joint don't jack 'em. Fail. My Asparagus, Ham, and Swiss omelette was massive (made proudly with 5 eggs) and tasty, for $7.95, but the asparagus was different sizes and textures, and had a touch of that canned aroma, so that sucked. I had to play hide and go seek with the waitress as she tried, repeatedly, to fill up my coffee after every sip. I hate that, chiefly because I like it light and sweet. Then she tried to convince my colleague that regular, brown tea was green tea. Right. Fail. That's all I got.

Took my mother, grandmother and family for Mothers Day and had an awful experience. We called ahead and booked an 11:30am reservation which turned out to not mean anything.. We were seated by 11:45am and place our order at Noon. They re-took our order at 12:35pm and we received food (not our order) at 1pm. Horrible service with management that could care less about the customer. It's Mothers Day yes but ZERO concern for the customer and their reputation as a business. Do Not Go!! Food ok so don't waste your time.
(1)Matthew P.
Service isn't that great. Kitchen was way behind when we were there and waitress on the patio was basically just ignoring all of her tables. Steak has no seasoning or flavor. The omelets are good and the home fries are the best I've ever had and cause cravings during the week.
(3)Thea H.
In general, this place is ok. That's it. The portions are generous. The service is good. The orange juice was like eating an orange instead of drinking one (I love pulp). That's the best I can say about this restaurant. I had the chicken fajita omelette with egg whites. It was huge. I was not a fan of the burrito covering but it seemed like a good idea. The food was fine. My fiance's meal was huge as well but it wasn't spectacular. There are many areas of improvement this establishment could have but let's start with turkey bacon or turkey sausage. They are readily available these days. If you're in the mood for exotic flavored/fruit pancakes, waffles, or crepes this seems to be the place. But if you're looking for overall breakfast, skip it.
(3)Kristen P.
One of my favorite breakfast spots! I have been here twice and I give this a 5 because of the food. The 2nd time I went the service was friendly but could have been faster but it seemed some people came late for their shift. What I love about this place besides that the breakfast is tasty is that for the price you get a lot of food. I would say Ihop prices but more food and with more taste. I definitely love coming here and highly recommend.
(5)Doug J.
Great first time experience. Clean, well lit. Feels like a high end "diner". I mean that as high praise as anyone who has lived in the northeast will understand. They also have a wide range of hand crafted coffees and smoothies. A liquor license and a full lunch menu. They close. 3:00 each day. They will soon offer another location closer to my home in Palm Harbor and I'll be making it a regular stop.
(5)Stephanie M.
Always a good place for breakfast. The food is delicious, portions are huge. The service is friendly, a little slow at times, probably because of how busy it always is.
(4)David J.
Revising my previous review: I came back and had awesome service and food! I am leaving the comments below because today I had a totally different crew of waitresses: fun polite there when I wanted them to be, excellent suggestion and so on. - Previous review - Mixed feelings about this place: the food was excellent and most likely deserves 5 stars. The cooks are on point, all the tables around me including me were very happy with the food. My waitress deserves one star unfortunately. The restaurant was almost empty when I arrived (3tables) and the waitresses were talking for 5 min before one acknowledged me. She took me to a table and left without asking me for coffee or drinks and it took her 10 more minutes to do so. Other waitresses brought my food and coffee and were fun and polite. Not mine... I got one polite gesture when she brought me the bill which is still standing right next to me, with my credit card very visible on top of it, and I am waiting on her to process it... I am wondering how long it will take, in the meantime, I am yelping :). Stay away from the young brunette, all other waitresses seem pretty on point :))) This is so funny, the bill is still on my table and 2 other table who arrived after me already left!

Delicious! I always get the coco-choco waffle combo thing, and it is amazing. I love sweet stuff for breakfast, and this is definitely the place to go for something like that. The portions are generous, prices are reasonable, service is great. Home fries are among the best I've had. Great seasoning and perfect crispness. Eggs are always cooked perfectly and the fruit is always fresh. There's a nice outside patio area as well for those looking to enjoy the weather. This place has become my reliable go-to spot for brunch.

After two visits, I won't be back. The first time, we went for lunch (and the sign clearly says Breakfast AND Lunch but there is really no lunch menu to speak of. A few standard salads and a few sandwiches, but most of the sammys come with an egg, which makes it a breakfast sammy IMO. The did have a club listed but it's not turkey it's a breast of chicken, which in NOT a club sandwich. We wanted lunch as it was 1:00 in the afternoon so we ended up leaving and eating else where. We did however note that we wanted to go back for breakfast because the menu looked very good. We went for Breakfast today and we were both less than impressed. The server was TERRIBLE! We were there for a solid ten minutes before she acknowleged us. Finally she brought our teas and we ordered. The food came up pretty quickly and a runner brought it to our table nice and hot. I had the Robin Hood Benedict and he got the asparagus Benedict. The eggs were way over cooked on both dishes, we ended up stuck with it because the server was MIA, she never checked back on us and I had to get up and ask for a tea refill. He didn't like the Hollandaise sauce but I thought it was pretty good. The solid cooked egg yolks ruined the dish though. The hash browns weren't seasoned and the sausage we both chose as a side was mushy and tasted very weird. The service was the real deal breaker for me. You don't have to fawn over me but check back after the food is served to make sure everything is OK (it wasn't) and refill my tea, it really is as simple as that. A true disapointment as I really wanted to like this place. It is also very expensive for breakfast if you ask me, $12.00 for eggs benedict that's not even properly cooked? Bitch please, you got the last of my dining out dollars, never again.

Proino on Walsingham = Awful service! We sat and waited for 40min before our food came. In the meantime asked the waitress for coffee creamer 3 times and she never brought it to us. My husband had to get up and walk to the bar to get it himself. He told the manager about our experience but the manager cared less. When we finally got our food it was cold! Pancakes were almost raw! Never going back!
(1)Ami D.
I was rather excited when I saw that Proino was opening up a restaurant on Walsingham. However, it is no where near as good as the West Bay location. The food is mediocre at best and the service is even worse. The portions and menu items are OK. Go to the Frog Pond in Reddington instead.
(2)James F.
Great breakfast place on East Bay in Largo. Outdoor seating is nice in spring winter and fall. Pets are on the porch/ patio The name Proino means morning in Greek so the full name is Morning Breakfast Club. There is no club involved here that I know of. The crepes are a great addition to the menu I suggest you try them. This is not fine dining but it is consistent and well worth checking out.
(4)Leslie E.
It's a clean restaurant that serves basic dinner food with a flare. There was a lot of friendly waitstaff and they were all very busy yet the service was slow. Food was good in an average kind of way. Caesar salad had a lot of wilted lettuce and the dressing was salty. I would go back if my group wanted to return.
(3)Karen H.
Awesome food, great portions, good service and very clean! Was very busy which is a good sign. I'd go back in a skinny minute. I highly recommend this restaurant.
(5)Julie G.
I'm giving this 4 stars because my husband LOVES this place! I'm not a breakfast fan, but did eat a light one while there. Huge portions and great fried potatoes. My husband loves the French toast with English cream and fresh fruit. Omelette are huge! The place is clean. Service was a little slow, but it was busy, it was Fathers Day.
(4)Gale M.
I had breakfast there and I was a little dissatisfied with the waitress. I asked for water and waited 20 minutes and had to get up to ask her again. The food was good and the place is clean.
(3)Mary C.
Mother's day, waited an hour, not too bad on a holiday. I ordered the spinach benedict and ate half before I noticed there was paper in my food. Paper! Like the kind that separates cheese. Manager could have cared less, said and I quote " it happens" Gross! The manager took my plate of the bill but really it happens.....I told him it should not happen, he didn't care. I will never come back.... I will say our waitress was very nice and friendly, she understood my concerns.
(1)Ken S.
Service was a little slow when we first arrived. Perhaps understaffed or servers are on break. We arrived at noon on a Saturday so they should be geared up for lunch. I'll see how it goes... The food was awesome as usual. I had the Robin Hood benedict. A toasted English muffin topped with Swiss, sautéed mushrooms and sliced ham. Topped with a poached egg and hollandaise. Portions are gigantic. They should offer smaller portions. Service was slow. That was the only issue.
(4)J H.
We stopped in for breakfast on our way to the airport. I had the Seafood Benedict, which was very good. We were immediately seated and our orders were quickly taken. We never felt rushed and were glad that we were able to take our time eating our meal. I would compare this restaurant, menu and atmosphere to First Watch. With that being said, I'd choose Proino over First Watch. Their food and quick service is a step above the other.
(4)Bill G.
Food was cold by the time we got it. Service was slow and overwhelmed. Gave us a coupon to come back, maybe.
(1)Brittany G.
Great portions for what you pay! You can split the food with someone, with the sizes that they give you. It's such a cute anytime brunch place, with an adorable outdoor patio and spacious inside. I had the chicken sandwich, which was tasty. With the salad and fries that it comes with for $10, you have to come hungry to finish it all. The omelets are definitely. The way to go though. The Athenian 5-egg omelet is amazing! It is a great, local alternative to First Watch.
(4)Sarah H.
This is my favorite breakfast spot in the area. You get huge portions of food for an affordable price, and it's delicious. I always get the Coco Choco Waffle with bacon and extra crispy homefries. It comes with 2 eggs; half a Belgian waffle with hazelnut and English creams, bananas, and strawberries; a meat; and home fries. I crave their home fries constantly, they are so crisp and flavorful. We usually try to sit outside if it isn't too hot, since inside can seem very crowded. Service is a toss-up. I've never had spectacular service here, it's usually just okay. A few times we've had servers completely ignore us. The only reason this doesn't have my rating go down is because their food is truly amazing. Their benedicts are delicious, and if you're going for lunch definitely try the turkey club.
(5)Alissa C.
Walsingham location is awful!! Rotten berries, had to send food back. Didn't offer to make a new one. Then because I had to send it back my kid didn't get the free Saturday breakfast. They said it didn't count because I didn't pay for a breakfast I wanted but had rotten fruit and sent it back. Tried to tell me the raspberries were black because of warm English cream. I'm trained in nutrition, and the berries were bad...No excuses... Awful experience. Never going back. Service by waitress and manager was horrific.
(1)Briceston A.
Really enjoyed eating breakfast here! Excellent food and service. Would recommend eating here if you want quality food and service that is offered nowhere else. Thanks for making my vacation worth while.
