Come on, now, get SERIOUS!!! I ate at Miyako last night for the second time, and, for the second time, no one else was in the place (not a good sign) AND ALL OF MY FOOD CAME OUT AT THE SAME TIME!!! This is RIDICULOUS. I truly hope the owner reads these reviews because it seems like a very nice family that runs the restaurant and I hope they can make it. But they have to make some changes if they want to be successful. First, this is a restaurant, not a day care center. I am fully aware that many Asian restaurants have the kids around. I am a family man and respect a tight knit family. However, this place is way too small to have two young kids running (literally) around and making kid noise when customers are trying to enjoy a peaceful meal. I also now believe that the kids are a major distraction to the waitress, who seemed more focused on entertaining them than on waiting my (solo) table. Thus, when my lousy hibachi chicken came out, I asked about the soup and salad that were supposed to accompany it and she said "Oh, I forgot". The sushi came out on top of it, too, along with a terrible Goyaza steamed dumpling appetizer, so it was a race to eat it all before it got cold (although I intended to take the sushi home, anyway). The chicken hibachi had lots of gristle in the chicken-a major turn off. The Goyaza came out burnt on one side and raw and falling apart on the other. It went back to be redone and came out overcooked, and flavorless. The miso soup was excellent. The ginger dressing salad was standard. The winning item here is the sushi, which is excellent. If I go back, and I'm not sure that I will, I will probably focus on the sushi. Again, the people here are very nice and I hope they figure it out before it's too late.

This was the first place in Florida I got to try. After being here for a year I've gone back multiple times and still had the same great experience! Delicious sushi for a reasonable price. Nothing too fancy, just a mellow hole in the wall spot for good sushi.

I ordered the california roll and the sweet potato roll as a lunch special which are served until 3 pm. The lunch special included soup and salad. Both were delicious. The sweet potato rolls were so good. I preferred them to the california roll. The server was polite. I had a nice dining experience.

I love this little place! The tenderloin steak bowls are more than enough for one person and it tastes good. Food always comes out hot and fresh, only downfall is that it can take a while and occasionally the owners kids run around and beat on the bathroom door while I'm in it. Lol overall worth it for the price!!!

I love the Hibachi! I always get the chicken and shrimp hibachi. It's a huge portion and I love the flavors and the rice and veggies. I always order take out and it comes with some sort of white sauce ( I believe it's shrimp sauce) and it's so yummy I dip everything in it. **Highly recommend**

I am so glad I found this place and they have a place to leave a review. I went here with my Wife for a date and then took a group of friends there again. Their sushi creations are just awesome! Fresh and colorful with great tasting sauce. The dining area is clean and maybe a little too sparse but I can't wait to go here again. Highly recommend.

Quick summary based only on the sushi, soup, drinks, and salad... Soup and salad were very good. Nothing spectacular, but still not bad. Sushi was good, but I felt the price point was higher than other places where I've had better sushi. My fiancé and I had the jasmine tea. It was literally a jasmine tea bag thrown in a pot of boiling water. If I wanted that, I wouldn't have bothered ordering it. Overall, decent place and I've heard the hibachi is good, but I feel there are other places to get better quality sushi at better prices in Pinellas County.

This is maybe the worst sushi restaurant around the area. We waited almost an hour for food and the girl was so rude. I know Asian people look alike but it was unprofessional asking people if they are from your competitor. She asked if I work for some sushi restaurant that I dont even know. Even I say Im not, she still throwing food to my table. I ordered sashimi but they made me sushi. Its ok I still take it but guess what the fish smell, its not fresh anymore. Then I ordered a small rice because I was hungry. The rice was dry and look like left over one from someone's dish. Theres some black sauce stick on the rice. OMG SERIOUSLY THATS SO GROSS. Then she throw the bill at our table as soon as tha last dish came. Ofcourse we didnt eat any of the sushi bc they not smell good. We ask for a box to put everything in and throw in the gabbage as soon as we walked out. We dont want anyone to eat our leftover

Thus place was ok, not great. There for lunch on a Tuessay, some rolls were just put together with so many ingrediesnts, the pieces ended up being large. It was fresh.

Love this little place. The prices are unbeatable. .especially for lunch... $5.25 for chicken hibachi served with rice and veggies and it's really delicious. 2 rolls with soup and salad for $8...you can't beat it. The sushi is good and fresh..I have become a regular here on my Friday's off for a inexpensive lunch and enough food to have left overs.

I had the 3pc lunch special and an iced tea for $13. Very good sushi, and quick. I would defiantly come back for lunch on another day.

Best sushi rolls around. Very gracious and accommodating. Take out is super quick. Family owned and operated. Hibachi is a must.

Spider roll made. Deep fried with the taste of old oil, sushi rice hard. When requested iced green tea was told all they had was hot, suggested they bring a glass of ice on the side. Miso soup cold and served 1/4 of bowl side of rice served in chipped dinnerware.

Ruined My Valentine's Day Dinner!!!! Ordered via telephone. Was told 20 minutes the food would be ready. Got there after 30 minutes. Gave them an extra 10 minutes to prepare. Paid for food only to find out my food was given to another customer. So I had to wait an additional 35 minutes for food. A total of 65 mins for some over cooked chicken and undercooked vegetables plus was missing soup and salad. Before waiting for the additional 35 minutes quickly asked for a refund. I was told NO I had to wait for them to redo food. Funny how it wasnt my fault and they were on my time and dime because I had plans that night. Terrible terrible terrible service. I will never eat there again. Those people are so non-caring and disrespectful especially that head wolf...sorry I mean wife. Never again.

Very good sushi at reasonable prices. Miso was tasty and not bland. Service was great. Def. worth checking out. This was our first dinner visit & we will be back.

Food is amazing but but service is HORRIBLE, it is not a day care to have kids running around and not paying attention to customers, I come here at least 3 times a month but I'm over it, if they do not fix their service, I will NOT be returning.

Decent prices and a limited selection, but what they do have is well prepared. Unfortunately I was hoping to try the noodle bowl, but I'm told they are frequently out of udon noodles.

I come here often. The service is great. It's a small sushi bar husband and wife run the place. I can't comment on the raw sushi because I don't eat raw fish but the crystal roll is very good. It's a California roll with baked scallop sauce on top. So good and prices are reasonable.

We did take out here so maybe that was its downfall. It was just ok and ended up being kind of expensive. We did sushi which is always better dining in. My husband thought the chicken bowl we got for my son was pretty good. It didn't appear to have hibachi grills set up so when you dine in, they must just cook your food on the grill and serve it to you.

We went there 2 times, both times the same...... Bad !!! Small portions, No flavor, and Way to much $$$. Don't know why, or how they are still in business ?!!!? :-(

I normally love this place. So when I order the ramen I was ready to dig in, but when it came to my table I was very disappointed. It was on a plate and not in the broth plus it had a burnt taste and smell but it didn't look burnt at all. I eat here at least three times a month so when I had to send it back I was not happy.

I was happy to see a restaurant with some authentic Japanese ramen on the menu. I finally got to stop by for dinner and was craving a big bowl of it. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed to see it arrive on a plate with no broth. Flavor wasn't bad but some of the ingredients needed some help. They used dry shiitake mushrooms, nothing wrong with that except they forgot to rehydrate the shrooms in a little liquid before they cooked them. I might as well have eaten them out of the bag as they were cardboard dry. I had to sift through and pull them out. I ordered beef and they asked how I wanted it cooked. Remembering that a coworker's beef was overdone, I decided to go with rare to possibly get a medium and they got it pretty close but the beef had little flavor. A little cabbage and green onion finished a disappointing dish.
