Ripped off and rude treatment, I called and ordered a couple of items ,one was a cheese pizza and I asked for veggies on half of it ,when I got there I was charged 4 sides at 1.25 each for veggies on half the Pizza, s I paid more than what a full veggies pizza cost , I asked about it and was treated very bad by a rough guy that when I asked why was I paying more for half veggies that for a full pizza he just said that that's the way they do it and I get a better deal buying a full veggie pizza ,it made no sense but since he was o rude I just wanted to leave, well I just opened the pizza and the veggies are a ton of black olives , a couple slices of onions and some scattered red peppers ,the cheese on the other half is uneven and missing 40% of it yes the half that supposed to be cheese is mostly sauce, I will not go again just because of the rude man.

I have been in Florida for 48 years. I am a pizza expert.I make my own pizza so it is very hard to find a place that uses fresh ingredients. Look no further this place is clean, staff is wonderful. Sandy the server has been their working at the restaurant for 15 years. Lou Ann is also an excellent server. One of the owners Joe whom I met was very gracious and very knowledgeable about the Italian cooking.Pizza was superb !!!! They will make anything you want on your pizza just let them know because everything is Fresh. My husband loves white pizza with clams. Looking forward to going back there and trying all their dishes.Great prices you won't be disappointed. Family owned not a big restaurant but a wonderful menu.

I probably shouldn't be writing a review about this restaurant because it was really good up until my last visit and there was a live cockroach in my salad. I was very polite and called the waitress over and very discreetly pointed it out to her. She took the salad, said she was "sorry" and offered me a dessert (huh?) for "compensation". Really? Of course, I'll never go there again.

Great prices and very decent food. This is not a fancy restaurant, but it will be hard to find better pizza and pasta dishes in a strip mall tucked between Starbucks and Firehouse. Family owned and operated, the service staff is friendly and your drink will never be empty. Be prepared to be included in a friendly conversation with staff and strangers if you sit over by the service area. If you want to read quietly while you eat, there are spots for that too. I recommend the Chicken Parm or Eggplant Rollantini lunch specials if you are looking for an alternative to their very good pizza.

Such a great restaurant. It's similar to Capogna's Dugout, as far as menu option. I'd think their food is probably a bit better. I know their pizza is. Not that Capogna's isn't good. This place is just exceptional. Amazing, fresh pizza like you've never had in the bay area! Check 'em out, you will not be disappointed.

I have been back here several times in the past few months. Every time I go back I try something new. And have never been disappointed. The fresh smells and the super clean environment make it very inviting to go back. I tried the eggplant parm with a side if meatballs last time and it was some of the best food I have had since I started going there. I cannot say enough about the owners and the staff. I can't believe the ratings on this place. It was also packed when we went, I don't get it. They packed our party of 5 in a tight booth right by kitchen doors. The people behind us wrestling in their seats pushed our entire booth forcing us to move. Garlic bread is a dry frozen like garlic bread hammered with a bunch of paprika. Chicken picatta was the worst I've had, chicken was dry and overpowered by lemon juice. Pizza was decent, good tasting fresh crust, this was the saving grace that made it two stars. Service was good too.

What can I say but , try the food yourself!. I am a native New Yorker and have eaten in allot of restaurants here and up there. This place has it down. The crispy,"FLAVOURFUL" pizza to the strombolis. I just recently had the Chicken Piccata and it was "outstanding"! I approached the 2 owners Joe and John and told them how satisfied we were and they went on to tell me about the efforts they put into making the food. By talking to them and the aroma of the fresh food I believed them. This is a true find in Fl. If you want a great meal at a great price stop in ! I will be making this our regular weekly stop.

Delicious pizzas, subs, and main dishes. We are lunch regulars for the chicken parm and lasagna, with an occasional change to their special pizza (red onions, red peppers, and sausage) or one of the subs (sausage or meatball with peppers). The staff is very friendly and quick, generally bringing the check earlier, knowing we're on lunch break. Luann always stops by our table to greet us, even if we aren't in her area. Solid basic Italian food, great service. Definitely recommend.

I try out many different pizza places, trying to find a sweet spot that the family and I can really enjoy. It's very difficult for someone who is tired of pizza chains and their excuse for what should be food. Also, "mom and pop" pizza places tend to be tiny holes in the wall and often cut corners to compete with the chains. That being said, I have stopped looking in the Largo/Seminole area for good pizza. Bella Italia was a great find. I have never tried anything on their except for the pizza, but I've never introduced a person to the place that hasn't enjoyed it. My wife, for example, really enjoys the Greek salad, while a friend of mine thinks they have the best calzone around. The thing is; the food is made fresh. The pizzas are made right in front of you (if you were to stand at the counter and watch). The handmade touch can't be beat. Pies from here are consistently great, with the right amount of seasoning and ingredients. Also, they have perfected crust making, in my humble opinion. If you like, they also have a section of imported beer and wine that are decent, if not extensive. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Some have made comment that it is small. Though that is true, one must keep in mind that it is family owned. Those kinds of places tend to be small for they don't blow exorbitant amounts of revenue on showy floor space advertising and what not, instead letting the food quality and the hospitality speak for itself. Although it is not a very large store, they always are able to accommodate children and larger groups, reasonably. Where do I begin about the staff?! What wonderful people! They know my voice over the phone (I do a lot of carry out), and they ask about the wife and kids when I visit, alone. They have a very friendly and casual way of addressing patrons that I can find no fault with. Try Bella Italia as soon as you can. I think you'll find it to be a great dining experience.

Their pizza is awesome! My family and their friends have been going here for years! I highly recommend them! The atmosphere reminds me of the pizza joint in Mystic Pizza. It is nostalgic, and quaint. Great food!

Remarkably, I don't think I've ever eaten the pizza here. But, I will say that their other menu items are great in their own right. My usual go-to items are the stromboli (simply amazing...crispy outside brushed with butter and garlic and gooey cheese and fresh meats) and their chicken parm special on Monday's which comes with pasta and garlic bread (ask for cheese on top for just a bit more $). The staff here is always nice and accommodating but they do get busy during lunch rush so if you go a bit before or after the lunch rush you'll probably fare a bit better. Most of the staff has been there for years and it's always nice to see a friendly face.

We have been eating here and ordering take the past four years, several times a month. The food is typical older pizzeria fare. Good portions, and limited fresh ingredients at a reasonable cost. I like their chicken parm. Recently we have had minor problems with take out orders (no bread, missing salads) but after a disappointing dinner this weekend I called to let them know. Take out Saturday night: Salads and bread were included with both dinners.The chicken parm was consistent. The spaghetti it was on was on was overcooked. The Rigatoni with chicken and broccoli needs to be taken off their menu. While the portion of rigatoni was sizable there were only two very small cubes of chicken, and three very soggy broccoli sprouts in the entire container. This dish was overpowered with way too much olive oil and garlic (we asked to have oil omitted) and replaced with red sauce that was poured over all the oil. Although we have definitely experienced better dinners @ Bella Italia, we will eventually go back. Maybe we need to try their pizza.

My first visit at Bella Italia was with friends. This place is really close to my house. I'm surprised I had never heard of it before. Bella has that old timey Italian diner feel to it. A real pizza oven. Dough tossing. The waft of cheesy goodness filling the air. The pizza was really good. Our server was very friendly and kept everything in order. The prices were also very reasonable. This place would be a great place to take kids or hang out with friends.

2 hefty slices of pepperoni & a coke = $6 & change. Quaint dining room (can get a bit busy during lunch rush) but awesome pizza and a good variety. 2 out of 2 found this review helpful

This Pizzeria prepares top quality food at a reasonable price and if you speak italiano, you can have good conversation also. I want some of thier pizza right now but I'm sad because I can't drive that far right now...Im in St. Petersburg and its raining heavy here....STILL ...I DID think of ordering out and that says a lot. The salad is also amazing! Kudos! I am very particular about my pies...Multo Bene!!

The fact that I'm writing a review about this place cracks me up because I used to HATE it growing up. This is a local family-owned restaurant that's known for their thin crust pizza and homemade pasta dishes. In my family's book, the pizza is really all that matters. When I was little, I would throw a fit when my parents said we were picking up pizza from Bella's. I always had to be the difficult one and get spaghetti or ravioli instead - for some reason I never liked their pies. Well, that changed about 4 years ago. I guess my tastes evolved (does that mean I'm old now? ay yi yi) and I've finally realized just how good it is! The crust is crunchy, not too thick, not too thin, and the sauce tastes very fresh. I suggest not overloading it with toppings because the crust gets a little soggy. It tastes even better the second or third day later heated up in the oven. I'm definitely a fan of their pizza now and even offer to pick it up when I'm at home. :)

Very good straight forward NY Style thin crust pizza. It isn't the best you've ever had but it is good enough in the taste department and pretty consistent. The service is fast and the decor is very typical of a mom and pop pizza shop with plastic red and white checkered tablecloths and paper menu place mats. It is located in the Bardmoor Shopping Plaza. Near Pittsburg Petes and Starbucks. It is a solid choice when it comes to Mid-Pinellas County Pizza, and it goes without saying that any pie from Bella Italia will be light-years better than anything from typical chain options (dominos, papa johns, pizza hut, hungry howies, etc). They have been doing something right because the place has been open for around 19-20 years at the same location. Check it out.

Great family-run pizzeria. Typical fare: pizza, calzones, strombolis and classic Italian dishes. Good value for what you get. Only ding is that the selection of toppings is limited (I'm used to CA style where we put anything on like artichoke hearts, jalapeños, and bbq chicken) but it's typical of what you'd find at most old-school pizzerias. I first visited as a wide-eyed lad of 10 when it first opened (twenty-something years ago!), and whenever I'm in town I make sure to stop in at least once.
