I'd been ignoring this place, which had several restaurants (Pan Ye's, Lemon Thai) before this. Decided to give it a go today for lunch. Parking is a little weird (bumper-to-bumper alongside it or way out back) but the place was still hopping at 1:30 for lunch, a testimonial to its success. It closes at 2 pm daily, except Friday where it stays open for an AYCE fish fry from 3 pm to 8 pm for 8 bucks. You can get breakfast any time. Coke products. YAY! Service was fast, friendly and frequent. The place was clean and bright, not dingy and skulky like restaurants past in there. Prices were fabulous. Most meals $5 to $7. They have a 3 egg breakfast special for $2.50 and eggs benedict for about $7. I'll come back for breakfast based on the five star reviews here. They had lots of diner-style specials like shepherd's pie, lasagna, pork chops plus a $9 sirloin and a $12 ribeye. My lunch was mediocre. Tossed salad which appeared to simply be lettuce, tomato, onion from the hamburger condiments pile (plus egg)--not cut small enuf to eat and bottled dressings (no low-fat options). Even one olive or 3 croutons would've been welcomed. Their egg salad sandwich was plain bread with a scoop of salad on it. I didn't like the dill pickle flavor instead of sweet and would've liked it spread to the edges (like they cared). Adding lettuce might've been a luxury. This place fell short on presentation and taste on the simplest of meals. Portion, freshness and price were fine. They had banana bread and pineapple bread as desserts for $1.75 and peanut butter pie for $2.75. Somehow the latter two jumped into a "to-go" box. The peanut butter pie was outstanding-creamy and flavorful. The pineapple bread was to die for--very "upside down cake" moist and tasty. I'm starting on a positive 4-star side because of the cleanliness, service and excellent desserts. This place deserves a coupla shots, especially due to their cheaper pricing.

This place is amazing! The service is exceptional. It is the quintessential hole in the wall, good southern cooking, with great customer service. Awesome food! Definitely get the biscuits and gravy! It is packed with local lakelanders and good people. We will re-visit for breakfast/brunch frequently!

Food is excellent. The wait staff nothing short of superb. Owners always on the dining floor. Prices are comparable. Excellent breakfast. The Friday Night Fish Fry (oh YEAH!) Two Thumbs Up!

I eat breakfast here at least once a week. Great service, amazing food, more than reasonable prices. This restaurant is very clean, and it puts Fat Jacks to shame. Check out the lunch specials the shepherd pie is made from scratch.

My mom and her friend visited the Brunch Box today, and they really enjoyed their experience. Mom said the service was GREAT, and they both enjoyed their lunch very much. They felt very welcome by staff, and Mom's salad plate (tuna salad and chicken) was super and they will be doing back again. My mom told me on the phone tonight (I live in California) that WE will be eating at the lunch Box when I visit her next trip, and she was in the midst of telling some friends about it. She has also heard that the Friday fish fry is awesome and we plan to check that out, too.

This is the old pizza hut that was on memorial, if you are looking for a great breakfast for under 10.00. This is the place a 3 eggs with toast and hash browns cost me 2.95 and with a drink 2.25 so with a tip it was 9.00. The best part is no matter who is serving you, any waitress or staff will refill your drink or tend to you immediately, been a frequent patron for 4 years. Friday fish fry is the best also all you can eat fish and fries for 8.95

Good home cooking! Got tenders fries and slaw! Service was very fast. I had a drink less than a minute after I sat down.

This place was busy on a Sunday morning, but not too busy. It is an old remodeled Pizza Hut, so don't expect too much in the way of atmosphere. Breakfast was good, and reasonably quick even though they were busy. The breakfast menu is typical. The lunch menu (which we didn't try) looks pretty extensive and sounds great. The only bad spot on this visit was the service. We had a server who didn't really wan to be there, and didn't fill our order correctly -- or seem to care. With better service, this would be a definite 4 star experience.

If your over the age of 75, a Florida cracker and like bland food, this is the place for you.

This place is a JOKE! An old Pizza Hut building that's disgusting. The service is terrible, definitely a cheap place to eat if you want more grease than food. Our receipt was even full of grease. I don't have a clue how this place has 4 star rating unless they were all from people that are from Ohio or so old you can't taste anything. Health department should shut this place down.

Pretty much your average greasy spoon diner with classic American brunch fare. Prices are exceptionally low, and the service is very attentive and friendly! Clean and homey ambiance.

I was here visiting family and found this place on yelp. we had about a 20 minute drive to get there, totally worth it. I had the chicken fried steak omlet, yea, that was a new one for me and amazing! My old man got the skillet anx cleaned his plate! Home fries were fantastic, biscuits and gravy were like my moms, and talk about FAST! The locals sure do have a gem in this place!

Stopped in due to the reviews on Yelp. Our first impression as we pulled in was how busy they were on a very early Sunday morning. This is always a good sign. I love Eggs Benedict and Gravy & Biscuits so these were a must try. Very good. I believe everything was homemade. I know for a fact the Hollandaise Sauce was fresh made. Very good also. My partner had the Breakfast Skillet. Again very good. Service was right on top, always making their rounds checking on us. This will be a nice addition to our places to eat when up in Lakeland.

Been there about 6 times now (only for breakfast) and have always found it to be exceptional. Friendly atmosphere, large portions, and excellent food makes this my favorite breakfast stop. Hope to try lunch there one of these days, but for now, can only comment on breakfast. They are serving an "all you can eat" fish dinner on Friday nights also, Although I haven't tried that either, I've been told by friends that it's one of the best fish fry dinners in town.

Not worth the trip off of highway (4 miles).....very local place with some good local items on menu....but.....creepy area and one meal had what was likely a rare piece of hair in it.....over good food, but no need for second trip. Have to be a local.
