One word to explain is that there doughnuts are great. And I can't forget the wrap sausage with cheese. I have been eaten there doughnuts for a while. But it was the one out of Plant City. The only down size is that . The earlier the better selection you could choose from. I learned the hard way a few times. So remember for a better selection go earlier.

Let me be clear. I am a typical Lakeland girl. I live in a cool historic neighborhood. I have a STEM job and I fancy art. I eat at Fat Maggies and Red Door. I can't live without my Starbucks. I even read the Lakelander religiously (no pun intended). Therefore, it is not surprising that I prefer my fried dough with powdered sugar to be served by the cool proprietors of The Poor Porker. That means, lately, I have to consume my beignets standing in a parking lot on the empty portion of Main Street. But the Poor Porker are trendy and the beignets are trendy and the people around me are trendy. Trendy people see me there and think I am trendy like them. I like that. I was not quite feeling it when my girlfriend dragged me to this nondescript strip mall off Edgewood. I mean, Edgewood! The place was called Hole in One. I don't play golf. Oh I get it, must be someone's bright idea of pun. So we ordered about four glazed donuts, a jelly filled donut and a bunch of donut holes. My girlfriend had a work thing. The total came to about four dollars and forty cents! What the ef! So we ordered a couple more maple donuts that were freshly made. Apparently, they make their donuts fresh daily. Holy donut holes! And a bargain compared to six flippin' dollars for three meager beignets at The Poor Porker. We thought we were robbing the place. But the cold fact hit me as I was chewing the last bit off my maple donut. You know that tree that falls in the forest and no one hears it...what about me eating a delicious piece of fried dough and no one trendy saw me eat it, was I still trendy?

Donuts are off the chain and always fresh. Suggest you get there early, because last two times I have been there the line was 5-6 deep and almost everything was bought. By far, best donuts I have ever had.

Wonderful little bites of heaven. I recommend you bypass Dunkin and head straight to Hole in One. The other guys have nothing on this establishment. The sour cream is my fave but they are all good. Hole in one is clean, the staff is friendly, there is plenty of parking and a dozen is less than $8

Great home made donuts. Always a great variety. The prices are right. I wish they had larger size coffee though.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place! The food the service the friendly service mind you, the quality of the food! Simply perfect! very reasonably priced and amazing high quality food and ingredients. I don't know anywhere you can spend under $5 get coffee a breakfast sandwich and a donut! And a real breakfast sandwich, meaning real bacon, real croissant, real eggs! This is no McDonalds people, the real deal try it out you won't regret it I promise and while you're at it spend a lot of money haha as in five bucks. But really is amazing you won't regret it! P.S. My favorite donut is the regular glazed, so amazing!

I love this place. They really do have the best donuts around. They have so many options and they are cheap! The staff are all friendly and patient. I don't feel rushed to make a decision about my very important order.....always throw a couple of extra glazed in the box for good measure.

We are New England donut lovers, and these are hands down THE BEST donuts we've had in Florida.

Best doughnuts EVER.. Not greasy, not too sweet.. Perfection in a box. Not overpriced!! $7 will get you a dozen doughnuts that are much bigger and tastier than Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts. BEST doughnuts in Lakeland!!

Woohoo! The secret is out, Lakeland has another new donut shop and it WILL give the two mainstream chains, Krispy & Dunkin a run for their money! Tucked in a strip mall on Edgewood, open 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. (6 am on Saturdays). They make their donuts fresh daily and often have sample bites atop the counter. A dozen donuts is $7. Single donut holes are a dime. Coffee is a buck or there's a cold case for sodas and bottled fraps. I had an eclair, 2 donut holes and a soda for $2.28. If price doesn't draw you back, wait til you taste things! The eclair was a tantalizing bit of heaven--just enough dough to caress the custard and provide surface for the chocolate. It was plumply filled and sweetly balanced to mmmmelt in your mouth. you can choose creme-filled if you're not into the delicate custard. There couldn't have been any calories in this lighter-than-air concoction. The sugar-rolled donut hole was also yum, you could taste the hint of vanilla. The chocolate donut hole was a bit dry--but it was a snitch from the sample tray and perhaps sat out longer. There are oodles of sprinkle-covered options. A personal fave is the "zebra" frosted. They make hot breakfast sandwiches--the most expensive is $2.45. They have pigs in blankets (hot dogs wrapped in jalapeno pastry) just yum. They custom stuff flavored jellies into donuts upon request. I hate to give this a 5-star rating and for the word to get out, lengthening the lines, but they deserve to become billionaires.....YUM-O.
