As usual never a disappointing meal at Cracker Barrel. Went on a Sunday and had the fried chicken Sunday special with mashed potatoes and broccoli and brown gravy everything was delicious but the mashed potatoes could have been hotter they were just warm. My mother ordered the rib special and she felt they were under cooked but for the most part not to bad.

Like all cracker barrels. Great store, big crowds, downhome cooking. Fifteen minute wait (in the store) to be seated at 1 pm on a Sunday. I ordered the sampler platter for about $10. It had chicken n dumplings, a small serving of meat loaf, and a slice of sugar'd ham. This was a great deal for the indecisive orderers like me. I tried 3 sides--cole slaw (mediocre), fried apples (called this dessert it was great), cabbage (overcooked mush). Chef salad looked great. Several ordered 3 veggie platter. Food came out quickly. We got a cranky waitress who wouldn't smile or chat with us. She also wouldn't divvy up separate checks so we had to go thru a rigamarole to straighten it out at the register. I don't need to eat at CB so badly that it's worth the wait. Three stars is generous.

Ok my Cracker Barrel review, I love Cracker Barrel no matter where it's located. This is guilty eating at its very best. My favorites include the chicken and dumplings, country fried chicken & the roast beef!!! And no not all in one go. lol. Anyway the staff here are nice and friendly and Kimberly was just a doll, try to get her as your waitress if you can. The location in near a busy part of the town it was an easy choice from all the other places.

Seems kind of pointless to review a Cracker Barrel as the four or five that I have been to seem to be very consistent from one to the next... but this one has no reviews, so I'll step in since I ate there this morning. If you have eaten at a CB before, all you need to know is that there's nothing wrong with this one, you'll get exactly what you expect when you come. If you've never eaten at a CB before, you can expect down-home southern cuisine served in a kitchy country atmosphere. The 'waiting area' is in fact a (usually crowded) store full of retro stuff, the dining area is covered in antique signs, etc., and the menu will clog your arteries faster than you can say "more sweet tea please." I have only ever ordered from the breakfast menu, so I don't know what the rest of the food is like. The breakfast portions are quite large and predictably good. The country ham is great (salty!) and the biscuits range from great to fantastic. We had great service at this location, a friendly waitress who took great care of us.

Had the roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes & gravy. Cheap, home cooked meal comes to mind! Liked it after a long day at Disney & saved a ton of cash!!

We go here often since it opened in Lakeland. 95% of the time we are happy about the service and food. When I am real hungry for breakfast, I order the Grandma's breakfast, it's not on the menu. It includes, pancakes, eggs, hash browns, bacon or sausage. I have eaten at CB's all over and this one is great most of the time.....they all have those days when they are not so good. This one is near a Harley Davidson store and not far from the Lakeland hospital. Update, went there yesterday 8-3-13 and they have changed the cornbread recipe. The Manager said they are adding sugar, but I think it's more than that, so I am dropping one star. They finally went back to the original cornbread recipe. Ate here many times since first review, food is consistently good.

Wow. I think I've only been to one Cracker Barrel in my life, but after this experience I will definitely go to more! First of all, it's clean. Second, every worker is friendly! From the cashier people to the waiters. Coming from NY I'm always thrown off and pleasantly surprised by well-mannered, respectful people. Attitude goes a long way, and it certainly made my experience even better. Last but not least, the food. My breakfast was delicious! Eggs, bacon, blueberry muffin, grits, and of course, BISCUITS! I would love to go here again!

Of the tried-and-true road trip backups that friend always fall back on, Cracker Barrel is the only one I like. I'm a sucker for the country store, though I never spring for anything, and the gruff service we received was still efficient and the food still hot and satisfying. My country egg breakfast hit the spot and the 5 of us were in&out in under 30 minutes (just allow the damn symbol already, Yelp). Leslie Knope: Why would anybody ever eat anything besides breakfast food? Ron Swanson: People are idiots, Leslie.

I have always loved Cracker Barrel! No matter what location I visit, I always find a great atmosphere, friendly service, and amazing comfort food. As good as it gets!

The service was spot on. I was very impressed watching the entire staff from host to manager work together as a team. The food was good too, very reasonably priced for the quality.

I love cracker barrel for breakfast, and this location was really good. Not crazy busy & we were seated right away. Our server, Gerry, was great! There was a ton of food, and it all tasted very fresh. I loved the apple butter for my biscuits, which I had never had. One complaint (I think I've made it before about other cracker barrel locations): why do we only represent one state university in your country store?? Oh, it doesn't really matter what area of the state you are in either. Shouldn't you equally represent the major state universities or at least the one in your local area?

Hey, it's Cracker Barrell. If you like southern style food, especially breakfast, you really are not going to go wrong stopping at any of these along your travels. Plain and simple.

Cracker Barrel is pretty consistently good no matter the location. One thing that sets this location apart from many others that I have been to is how friendly and helpful the staff are -- not to say that other locations aren't friendly, they are just extra friendly here. Food quality is superb as usual. The location is kinda funny to get to. It's off I-4 but it requires some twisting and turning to get into.

Ok so I'm not a big fan of this chain of restaurants usually. But I must say this is a great location! The management is solid, and the staff is very friendly and quick to help and give quality service. The waiting time is a little much some times. But that doesn't really matter because it is worth the wait. I mean I'm okay waiting 10 -15 minutes for some good food! The food is definitely classic comfort food. But it is still really good. Some of the sides are a little and taste in my opinion. I wouldn't try any of the sides that are a little off the menu. Also the pancakes are a little soggy. But I think that's just because of the batter they use. And don't take my word on it too seriously because I'm not a big pancake fan to begin with. One of the best things about this place is how much food you get! I had three sides the main course and it was more than enough definitely worth the money! My favorite proteins hahaha on the menu is the ham of course the chicken fried steak and the sausage is amazing! But above all else my highest praise goes to the breakfast menu! Amazing old fashioned breakfast and massive portions too boo. My favorite meal! Definitely worth the stop and definitely worth the money.

They are always busy and for good reason; the food is great and the service is friendly! They always give me enough food to have another meal for later. I went here for breakfast this morning, it had been 15 years since I'd had their sourdough french toast and it was just as delicious as I remembered. I love the hashbrown casserole but this place doesn't just do a good breakfast, the meatloaf is super yummy, and I really like the country fried steak too. I'll be back to try the other items on the menu and I'll let y'all know if I find something less than delicious but I doubt I will.

This Cracker Barrel is well managed, well staffed, and performs at the top of the class. It seems that wherever I go, Cracker Barrel nails the consistency. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at a Cracker Barrel. The restaurant and store are always spotlessly clean, well appointed, and the food comes out right every single time. I'm always impressed with how fast their turnaround time is from order to delivery at the table. Not being a big fan of chain restaurants, Cracker Barrel is an exception to the rule. It doesn't feel like a chain, even though it is. A lot of people are on first name bases in these restaurants and there's good reason for it. Cracker Barrel gets 5 stars.

My one guilty pleasure when I go on vacation. Don't hate on Cracker Barrel! They're all the same, the same food, the same rocking chairs outside. Where in NY am I gonna get fried Catfish and Grits for $10 bucks no less? Throw in the fried apples and I'm in heaven.

No, no, no, no, no, no more cracker barrel. Food tasted like it had been sitting about since the mid 1800s, so I guess it matched the decor.

We are regular customers of this local CB, but I must say this visit was very disappointing. My husband opened his menu and saw a special on a rib dinner he had previously gotten. " Sorry, that's an old menu", he was informed. Ok, mistakes happen. Onto 2nd choice- Turkey dinner. It came to the table cold along with one piece of burnt sour dough toast. My meal of chicken fried chicken, came out with gravy on top, which was ordered without it. When the 2nd dinner was received, it was thin and over cooked, not the typical thick, juicy, portion. No manager stopped at our table, as they usually do. We won't be returning anytime soon. The waiter was very courteous, though.
