Well, this place, to say the least, is fantastic. I had split the hulk when I went - 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, and 2 biscuits for $8.50! All the food was absolutely fantastic, and I walked away stuffed, only eating half the breakfast! I would definitely come back, and recommend this to anyone!

Stumbled across this place on my way to work. I walked in and the waitress told me to sit anywhere.. it's not the best decor inside it's one of those places which don't look at great from the outside but give a homely feel inside. Mainly families seated. I had breakfast and some real good coffee. I ordered a 3 egg veggie omelet with hash browns.. it's a very laid back environment. Just something to chill on a Sunday morning. The food was okay.. I asked them to substitute 1 of the eggs with an egg white and that was an extra charge. Which I found odd cause most places I go to kinda don't charge for substituting a whole egg for 1 egg white. Overall was a modest experience.

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. We arrived and stood in the front doorway for 10 minutes with no one greeting us. Several waitresses passed us by and didn't acknowledge us. We were the only people waiting for a table and when we asked if we could put our name on a list the waitress just looked at us puzzled. Then my husband asked another waitress about being seated in a table that just opened and we were told "there MAY be someone ahead of us." Then a guy came in with his girlfriend and talked to that same waitress then proceeded to take that table. We waited another 5 minutes then asked again and was given the same answer " there MAY be someone waiting."" Again no one was waiting but our group. After that we promptly left. Discrimination was afoot!!

A few days ago my fiancee and I stopped by to get breakfast at cozy oaks and oh was this a big mistake! I walked out of that place disturbed and dont ever plan on returning. To start off, this place is in need of a huge makeover. Restaurant looks extremely dated and dirty. We went there since the reviews looked promising but it was far from it. I noticed so many things while we sat there and waited for our meal. That day there were a fairly sized group of firefighters. There were no additional customers except them and us. Everything was ok until this party left. Two employees started arguing right in front of us. Didn't have a care in the world that there were customers around trying to enjoy their breakfast. As if that wasn't enough, one of the ladies that was cleaning up (also part of the argument) was just picking up the items on the table aggressively and taking them to the back and basically throwing what she had just picked up. The whole fiasco that was erupting before us was making me extremely upset and uncomfortable. However, what ended throwing me of the edge was finding a hair under my egg! Disgusting! I am a very understanding person when it comes to the restaurant business. I have been in this line of work in the past and I know it can get frustrating at times. However, this situation is and was beyond unacceptable on so many levels and I could not be more dissatisfied with this business and the people. I don't recommend this place AT ALL.

Stoped for breakfast, the food was good and hot. The chocolate chip pancakes are outstanding. We will stop again when back in town.

Came here today on a motorcycle trip from Orlando. Had good reviews so we drove a little extra to check it out. French toast was AMAZING! Service was great! Very friendly. Super fast service, we were in and out in 25 minutes. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the grits and biscuits and gravy. Gravy was a bit too salty. All in all a great place! If we Are in Lakeland again I will definitely be back!!!

Nice little cozy restaurant. Service was fast and efficient and food didn't take long either. We had breakfast and was perfect! Prices are reasonable and portions fill you up. We will be back!

We're having our Lakeland Business Leaders crew (about 20 people) at Cozy Oaks for breakfast every Tuesday in June. Cecilia has been amazing. She can manage a crowd of 20 like it's a party of 4. The food was delicious each time! We really enjoyed going there and look forward to having the group back again.

We were in town for the annual Sewing and Quilt Expo (sewing expo.com ) and dropped in here for a pre-madhouse breakfast. Casual, down home diner. I had scrambled eggs (soft scrambled to be exact - unlike most diner menus, the cooking stages of eggs are defined on the menu), sour dough toast (rye, wheat and white also available), and grits (home fries and hash browns also available). My husband had the Meat Lovers omelet which he enjoyed...and had to salt, unusual for diner fare and we like to be in control of that. Service was prompt and friendly and the coffee wasn't bad!

Great place to grab breakfast or lunch. The food is reasonably priced and tastes amazing. The service has always been quick and friendly. This is starting to become our favorite place to get breakfast.

We stopped for breakfast mid-morning and the place was quiet. It had a heavy and unpleasant odor. The waitress put the order on an iPod, which wasn't as quick or efficient as writing it down. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage on an English muffin and Greg ordered eggs Benedict, which I thought was a bit out of the comfort level for this restaurant. I didn't like my sandwich and shouldn't have eaten as much as I did. It tasted of old grease. And I decided that was the odor. Greg's dish was also off. I tasted his sauce and it didn't taste like hollandaise but was more like gravy. We both got hash browns, which looked good and were crunchy, but tasteless. I guess that's what hot sauce is for. Both Greg and I felt queasy most of the day.

This place SUCKS! We were never greeted by any one the entire time we waited for a table. We waited for 10 to 15 minutes to be seated and while we were waiting a young man walked in and spoke to a waitress. Evidentially he was either someone really important in Lakeland or related to the waitress because he and his friends got to sit at a table we were waiting. When I approached said waitress her customer service skills were lacking to say the least. This is the first time that Yelp has let us down. No one working there has a clue how to run a proper restaurant.

I must say up front that the ONLY reason I go from 5 to 4 stars is because I felt a little claustrophobic in their tiny dining area. The food was really good and came out quickly for how packed they were on a Sunday morning. The prices are fantastic and so was the service. I'd definitely return, but probably at a less busy time.

Yes it may be small in size but this place is truely a great place for breakfast or lunch. The food is fabulous and the service is great.

Hubs had the Hulk, I had French toast, baby had biscuit and gravy. Large portions. Pancakes were a little tough, don't expect ihops. French toast def wins overall. Grits were watery. Lots of homemade food. Omelette looked very good and eggs Benedict. Service fast. Small place very decent diner for good cheap breakfast.

Lunch on Sunday: excellent food, very fast service, very low prices. Also, very noisy, definitely downscale on the ambience meter. We'll be back!

The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. I will be recommending this place to all my friends and family.

Had lunch here service was quick , ordered the cheeseburger special fries were ok , but the burger patty tasted like liver had been ground into it , normally a strong beef taste is good but this was to much like liver mixed in with it maybe liver was cooked next to it either way not very good.

Average diner food. Big portions but other than that nothing special. Servers take orders on iphones or tablets which leaves them looking down not making eye contact at all and at the end they ask how much tip you want to leave. Uncomfortable. Wont be back.

Greek omelet is the bomb. Mickey pancake is enormous. This is what Willis was talking 'bout. Excellent late morning stop with no crowd.
(5)Carla G.
Cute little place with great service and delicious food! The pancakes and French toast were spectacular! Great little find!

Large portions for small prices. Not a bad tasting item on the menu in this cozy, quaint, family-friendly restaurant. Extremely nice servers and quick cooks. Perfect place to sit and relax with a newspaper, cup of coffee, and a filling breakfast. Outside seating as well for those rare good weathered days we get in Florida.

Big portions and tasty bites, this place makes my stomach cozy. If you are hankerin' for a happiness wallop, order The Hulk breakfast and smash it. This is definitely my go-to breakfast place in Lakeland. Can't wait to try their dinner.

I was visiting Lakeland and we decided to stop in here for breakfast. It was packed when we arrived but we got seated pretty quickly with a party of 3. We all ordered the same thing, I think it was called the Big Man. It came with eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, and hashbrowns, as well as biscuits and gravy. My eggs were very good, cooked over medium. My hashbrowns were rather bland but I ate some of them. The ham was pretty salty so that was given to the bf. My bacon was cooked soft, just like I like it and the sausage was very good. I have to say that I am very picky about gravy but this was ok, but the biscuits were a little dense. All in all, typical breakfast diner food. Probably won't be back there anytime soon, but if I am in Lakeland, there's a chance I may give it another try. Their lunch menu sounded much better.

Great food friendly service. The corn fritters were the best yet. If not for the noise level an easy 5!
(4)Brendan R.
Great breakfast, although I've never been for any other meal. They serve lunch and dinner now as well. Good food and friendly but not over-the-top staff.
(4)Frank R.
We went to this location because of all the great reviews. After going I really did not find anything that made me say "wow". The place is very small, not bad I guess if u like that type of environment. We ordered breakfast. There is no difference between breakfast here or at another chain. I can say the bacon was undercooked and eggs were undercooked. I would not go here again, but don't let me stop u for trying it yourself.

Great food , generous portions , recommend the hulk , great staff will visit again when in town .

Let's start with the food - I ordered well done corned beef hash, three eggs over medium, home fries w onions and rye toast - it was delicious! Hash was home made and home fries had incredible texture and flavor. My wife had a biscuit and French toast. The biscuit was great; French toast was ok. Now, the service - we had Caitlyn. I wish she had started with a smile. She seemed distracted and indifferent. Here's the good news; she got our order perfect and refilled my iced tea without me asking. Bad news; she never checked on the table until our plates were clean and then offered my wife a refill on her coffee. Maybe she was having a bad day. Bottom line - we will be back - often!

This week my wife and I went to The Cozy for lunch. I have the Chicken Tenders basket come with fries. (AWESOME) My wife had BLT and Corn Fritters, we were both very impressed and satisfied. The wait staff are friendly and super efficient.. Try it you will like it!

Paul says the biscuits n gravy are the best anywhere around! If Jenny has made a dessert for the day, try it! Especially the peach cobbler!
(5)Deke K.
This is a cozy little off-the-beaten path yummy breakfast type restaurant. Service was swift, staff was friendly, food was good, prices were right.
