Perfect place for a dinner during the week. Waitresses are always super nice, food is very good and very affordable and there is plenty of choices. I am French and picky so if I like it, believe me it's good.

After two visits for lunch a few months apart, I can easily say that Farmer Girl has the freshest food available for lunch. The salad bar is awesome..............there are numerous salad items available, including spinach leaves and a Greek Horiatiki (without lettuce) with feta cheese. The entrees range from salads to beef and chicken and seafood. The portions are large and the service is "down home'. They can't do enough for you. The fish is as fresh as you'll get, and the preparation is "tops". I can't say enough good things about Farmer Girl. It is 4 stars -- quite conservatively.

Went to this quaint little place and my family and myself really enjoyed our meals. Two of us had breakfast and one had lunch . Delicious omelettes and we had a small order of sausage biscuits and gravy which was pretty tasty . My son liked his bacon cheeseburger too. We wanted to order dessert also because we heard they get their dessert from "The Upper Crust" but we were full. Next time .

We had flown in from Newark Airport to West Palm Beach Airport and just reserved a room at an Inn in Lakeworth looking for some place to eat lunch when we past the "Farmer Girl" sign. When we noticed the little sign underneath announcing that Gyros were included in the menu, we just knew we had to try out this eatery. Farmer Girl is a diner/restaurant with booth and table seating. It was clean and welcoming. The menu was very varied including appetizers, sandwiches, gyros, at least 5 kinds of burgers, and entrées from Veal Parmesan, Wienersnitzel, Musaka, to Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. Entrées came with a choice of two wonderful homemade soups, a full, creative and delicious salad bar with an array of homemade dressings, fresh beets, bean salad made with White Northern Bean with real Olive oil, garlic and spices, homemade coleslaw, macaroni salad, melon slices, peach slices, chocolate pudding, rice pudding, etc., etc. I had spinach pie served with a large piece of feta, rice pilaf and a wedge of lemon to squeeze on top of the spinopika(?). The layers of buttered filo were light and crispy, and the spinach filling was a delight to my taste buds. The rice pilaf was freshly made and absolutely delicious. My husband had meatloaf with mashed potatoes with gravy. It was a large portion with three slices of meatloaf smothered with brown gravy. He chose a large bowl of chicken noodle soup with rye bread and butter from the salad bar. He ate everything in his plate and mopped up the gravy with another slice of bread. You can also order wine by the glass, 1/2 carafe or whole carafe or a small variety of popular beers. There was also a scrumptious selection of homemade pies, rice pudding, Greek cookies and Baklava. The service was excellent, and the staff and diners were all very friendly. The prices were reasonable (maybe one could say "cheap" considering what we got for our money). I have never written a review before so I apologize for being so wordy, but there are not enough words to describe how wonderful this place is. You should try it! Diane M.

Wow, that was pretty bad. They claim to have the best gyros in town. god I hope that's not true or legs or thighs in big trouble when it comes to Greek! They don't even have the meat on the spindle. Every single piece looks as if it shaved off of a loaf then heated in a microwave. My friend had the Reuben which was simply average. The staff was nice but the service was not very good. Eyeglasses that empty for quite some time before we finally got her attention to get a refill. Neither one of us ate more than half of our meal. Not really sure why this place has better than average ratings.

Stopped here for breakfast before my flight. It's right off the main drag and has plenty of parking. The service was quick and friendly, food was tasty. I'd definitely return.

We stopped here on the way to the Lake Worth Green Market instead of another diner on Dixie that we like because we wanted to try something new and always see cars here. The inside of the restaurant is clean and inviting. The initial service was slow considering the place was maybe half full. I was immediately disappointed because at 10:00 AM, the lunch menu was not available because they don't have the deep fryer up and running? What diner doesn't have the full menu available during their business hours? Sheesh. Well, on to the food. I ordered the Lake Worth Breakfast (#4 on the menu). It comes with two eggs, two pieces of either sausage or bacon, biscuit and gravy and home fries. I ordered mine with MEDIUM poached eggs, two pieces of sausage and WELL DONE home fries. I even said the waitress that they could give me the home fries that pile up in the corner and have been sitting on the griddle burning for a while. What I ended up with was one egg that was hard poached (yolk was completely hard) and one medium to hard poach (yolk was almost completely hard), mushy potatoes with no crispiness or seasoning and a chew toy biscuit. All of these things should be easy to handle for a diner that's been around for 30 years. I did like the sausage gravy that covered the biscuit and my apple juice. I basically covered the breakfast in Ketchup and Tabasco sauce to eat it. My girl had the #3 which comes with a ham and cheese omelette, three strips of bacon (which she had) or sausage, home fries and a biscuit (which she ordered) or toast with orange juice. She really liked her omelette, the home fries were slightly more crispy then mine and the biscuit she left on her plate after tasting mine and her's. I really don't understand the this let down because they do a decent volume of business. I can't explain it, but it seems that the cooks (this isn't the only place) do not read the tickets or care to cook to order. Also, the waitress knew specifically about the order as I basically painted a picture of what I wanted and she still delivered it with obviously under done potatoes, which she warned might happen. Oh, I guess another kick in the teeth was the younger guy running the register. He asked how things were and I told him I wasn't pleased with my meal but my girl liked her's better. You think he might of inquired as to why or showed some sort of care to make sure we would come back. Maybe they have a captive crowd that accepts this kind of thing and is enough to pay the bills. As I said, it's OK, but I will go to Howley's or try City Diner before returning to Farmer Girl. Hope this helps. The reason that I gave diner 2 stars was because my girl for the most part liked what she had and it's relatively cheap considering most places in Palm Beach County over charge..

Hanging out for brunch before I head back home at this family restaurant. Typical family home cooked meal type of place with breakfast 24hrs a day. Soup and salad bar. Prices okay. Friendly service. I actually hate these types of resturants so it's hard for me to give a good review. My family loves this place and that's the only reason I am here.

Welcoming local family Restsurant with an extensive menu. The Greek owner "Frank" and his family are friendly soups are made daily homemade style and salad bar is always fresh and continually checked and fully stocked. The menu is extensive with Greek specialties, American and more. There's something for everyone.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend of my daughter and we decided to give it a try. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the grilled Talapia which includes the salad bar. The salad bar included two soups as well as the traditional salad bar choices. The lentil soup was fine as was the rest of the salad bar. The lettuce and vegetables were all very fresh and I noticed the salad bar also had pudding and jello for dessert. A nice traditional touch. My fish was very good however the ratio of fish to potatoes on the plate was heavily weighted to the less costly potatoes. If the fish portion was not so small I might have given the restaurant an additional star. Others at the table had the gyro and pistachio and were very pleased. If I was in the area I would eat here again and cost wise the prices were very reasonable.

Based on other reviews here I decided to give them a shot for dinner and they did not disappoint. Good food at a great price and very friendly service. The gyro platter I had was very good and very filing; also loves that they left a pitcher at the table for refills. Save room for dessert, they had a great selection of pies from the upper crust. Very quaint and very clean, mostly older customers, they cringed a bit when they saw I had toddlers with me but my girls are very well behaved and won them all over. I was getting compliments from all the diners.

I will start by saying you can not tell from the outside how good it is on the inside sooo do yourself the favor and come in! Stopped here for lunch today (Saturday) and it wasn't busy which is a great thing if you are dining with a toddler! Had a bit of a hard time deciding on my order, there are some great choices at incredibly reasonable prices considering the amount of food you do receive! Ended up going with the Athenian fish with vegetable sauce and greek potatoes! This meal and all meals over $12.95 comes with unlimited soup and salad! They change the soups around so you don't get the same choices each time. The salad is served through a fully stocked salad bar (all the necessary fixings and them some) Our server was quite attentive and patient (again, I had a Sally moment from when Harry Met Sally and took forever to make up my mind). As an appetizer we had the tzatizki sauce with pita bread and was not at all disappointed!!! Everything tasted so fresh. With the salad bar and some really delicious barley soup, I was able to package the remainder of my meal and looking forward to finishing it off tonight! Stop in and check it out, you will not be disappointed!

Like others, I have to say that the interior (and exterior) could use a free ticket to this era. I've been here only twice and they both were during the week around 6pm. Both times, there were maybe an additional 3 other sets of diners. I got the feel that the other diners were regulars during both occasions. The owner was lurking around each time. The place reminds me of The Shining a little, the bar scene. Its outdated and empty. The food is usual diner food...expensive for the quality (low), like a typical diner. Anone who has eaten at a diner before knows what I mean. Canned vegetables over cooked by 300%, instant mashed potatoes, salad that hadn't had the water fully drained from it.

I LOVE the interior and exterior!! I hope they don't change it. There are not a lot of places left like this. I don't want/need the restaurants I go to to all look like Chipotle or Starbucks or Bonefish etc. I am a purist. Farmer Girl is a staple in this area, has been there for many years and it looks how it looks. Leave it alone!! Anyway, the food: By far, THE BEST Greek food around here. We usually go for breakfast or lunch, I don't think I've been there for dinner. Prices are super reasonable, food is fresh and tasty and I adore the staff. Bless them. We always have a great experience here. You really get a huge amount of food for your money and they are quick, which I appreciate. My favorites are the Gyro and the Greek omelet. Also, I could eat that tzadziki sauce by the bucket. Dip your fries in it for some next level eating!!

This is an update after a few more visits. Things I like: very friendly and experienced staff, clean bathroom and fresh salad bar. The lentil soup is good too! Needs a major facelift though. And bacon is $2.95...really? That better be some special bacon!

FG advertises itself as 'the best homestyle food in town.' It kinda of wins it by default. My family and I eat here quite often. Its nothing special but really, its a one of a kind restaurant. It offers a soup and salad bar, along with daily specials. The specials are usually Greek themed as well as most of the menu. It has burgers, sandwiches, salads, along traditional homestyle meals. But there are tons and tons of different Greek items (appetizers, entrees, deserts) to explore. We always leave here very satisfied and the staff is always very courteous. It gets 3* for the very laid back atmosphere and usually tasty treats. It is definitely a place to check out at least once in north Lake Worth.

Solid 3 stars. Decor is a little out-dated, which is the first thing I noticed upon entering the dining room. Our server was very polite and attentive. I had a gyro platter, my roommate had an omelet platter. Food is good, but nothing great. Since the owners are Greek and a lot of the menu was comprised of Greek dishes, I went with the classic gyro to test the waters. Boxed, frozen, then thawed and flat topped gyro meat. Very disappointing. The salad that accompanied it was a pretty generous portion, but it took up over half the plate and left little room for the small amount of french fries that come with it along with the sandwich itself. My roommates was about the same quality. The omelet he ordered was huge, but again the sausage patties were generic and the "homemade" biscuit looked far from it. The best part about the experience was the price. For both of us to eat as well as my Coke, it was only about 18 bucks. If I was craving a cheap breakfast, I may return, but the lunch menu did not impress.
