Went looking for an Indian buffet and our normal place Dabar was closed for lunch so we ventured over to the new Indian buffet in town Aroma. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was quite good. There was a nice mix of veg and non veg dishes. The dahls were great and the Tikka and Tandoori chicken actually had some taste to them (not just watered down food). The naans were great too. Overall, we are a fan but their salaad could be expanded (there was none) and some Briyani would be nice. Just a simple addition of some cucumber, tomato, and sliced onion and even a veg briyani would complement everything perfectly.

Aroma's serves a great lunch buffet! I've come here on numerous occasions and I have always had a good experience. The ambiance is nice, the restaurant is really clean, and the buffet is delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and the owner works in the restaurant. Most recently I came with my husband for lunch. We came on a Sunday, in part because they now serve beer and champagne! The Sunday lunch buffet price includes beer/champagne, and that's a fun twist for an Indian restaurant. The buffet almost always includes Tikka Masala, tandoori chicken, and a bunch of vegetarian options. The main buffet always has many other items, but their frequency varies slightly. No matter what they serve, it's always hot and tasty. There's also a mini-dessert buffet that includes cold rice pudding and fresh fruit. There isn't any naan bread on the buffet, but they bring baskets to your table. This generally works well, but occasionally we eat all the naan bread and then have to wait for a new basket. This can sometimes take a while. I've always found the server/hostess to be a bit rude. I don't think it's always the same girl, but they always seem to be less than stellar. It's not a huge issue. Especially since the owner man's the register and occasionally helps out. He's very friendly. Overall, this is a great option for when you're in the mood for a delicious Indian buffet.

Located off Lake Mary Blvd, in the Shoppes Of Lake Mary plaza, down from the Publix. Popped in here for a quick lunch with co workers, was promptly greeted, seated and asked if we wanted buffet or menu for our lunch. We all opted for the buffet to be quick and were off. There were 3-4 chicken dishes, 3-4 veggie dishes and rice, so plenty of options. The spiced cauliflower were especially tasty, as was the Channa Masala, which had bits of a medium spiced pepper in the dish. Fried zucchini was a table favorite and a surprising inclusion. When we returned with our food, two baskets of warm garlic naan were delivered. We were offered more throughout our meal, so there was never a shortage. The buffet was refilled while we were there, and everything was nicely warm and ready to eat. It was especially nice to get in and out as quickly as we did. Service was friendly, food was tasty and we'll be back.

This place came highly recommended by an Indian colleague and boy were we impressed with the Saturday brunch buffet. There were mostly hits and a 1 or 2 offs for me. The tandoori chicken was moist, tender, flavorful and had a hint of smokiness. Very well executed. It's a great place for vegetarians too as half of the buffet spread are meatless. At $13, this is really good value for money. I always enjoy patronizing small family-owned restaurants that serve unpretentious food. Oh, did I mention mango Lassi is also part of the buffet?

Best Punjabi kitchen. Great spices like the real Indian food should taste.spices I mean condiment, not hot chilli. Fabulous channa mássala and chicken tandori. Now I don't need to get to Chicago, NYC or London for a descent plate of Indian food. Simple unpretentious place, super clean and nicely hosted by the owner and wife. I was raised with Indian food and I love this restaurant.

Aroma has fresh, delicious food. And, I are their buffet. It was delightful and had all of the favorite dishes you'd expect. I never had to ask for a drink refill either. The waiter was so attentive. The owner of the restaurant was also there and visited each table to ensure we were having a great experience. The restaurant was packed and I was still able to eat and enjoy my lunch in 30 minutes. This place is a gem! Try it out! Also, the lunch buffet is $7.95. Can't beat that!

Went there with a group of friends recently for the first time. The servers seemed nice enough, but were pretty slow and had to be reminded at least once for things. Food was pretty mediocre. We got chat and some paneer dishes and they weren't very warm or tasty. Granted, I am used to very good Indian food, so my standards might be a little higher than the average consumer...the restaurant was full when we went (a Saturday night). Probably better options in the area, although the friends we went with go very often.

Food here is ok. It gets me by till I am able to get to my more favorite Indian places. I've only had the lunch buffet but it's average.

If I could give them -1 stars, I would. We went there for mother's day lunch, which was billed as a special, and cost a couple of buck more than a regular weekend buffet. We reached there at 1PM on Sunday, and the place was still relatively empty, but filled up in less than 30 minutes from that time. They were woefully, and I mean really terribly, understaffed. Just the man, perhaps his wife, and some one else. The lunch spread itself was not too bad, with quite a choices. But since they were so understaffed, from the kitchen inside to serving, it was a total disaster. First they did not even have enough plates! They were bringing a few plates at a time. So, there was a long line of people just waiting to grab a plate. Then the food started running out. In half hour, half the dishes were empty. They brought a small basket of naan (4 small slices) to our table, for 4 people. These were slices much smaller than normal size. When we asked for a few more, he said wait (rudely) and it was another 40 minutes (literally), to get a small second basket, and by that time, my wife and kids got disgusted and put their plates away. We looked around, and more than half the customers were equal parts disgusted/bemused and could not make heads or tails of it, simply cut their losses and left after eating half lunch. We saw a couple of early customers got dosas as part of their lunch, but when we asked he said no, they have no one to make, so no more dosas! There was just one dessert, mango pudding, and that ran out in less than 15 minutes, so none of us got even a taste. We left around 1:50 PM, and more than the dishes were totally empty, and they were not getting replaced. And the man, who was apparently the owner, not only made no apologies, he was quite rude to customers, and charged the full amounts (which was a premium to their regular weekend lunch buffet), eventhough we could not even sample so many dishes. I can understand them being somewhat understaffed, but why did they bill their lunch on mother's day as a special, charge extra money, and deliver such a horrible experience. To top it off, the man's demeanor was sooo rude. That's the last time I will set my foot in this awful place again. We went to Kohinoors in Altamonte Springs a few days ago, which was infinitely better. We wanted to sample another place in addition to Kohinoors, and what a disaster this proved to be.

Went for a casual lunch with a friend and got the buffet. Wish I had ordered off menu instead. The chicken Tikka masala was ok with hardly any meat available. The other entrees were mostly vegetables. I have lived overseas most of my life and have Indian food. This food was subpar. I know about veg vs non veg food.

We've gone three times now and every time this place has knocked all other nearby Indian places out of the water. The food here is magnificent and the staff is delightful.

Can I give half a star? My fear with this establishment is someone unfamiliar with Indian cuisine will one day say to themselves "ok, let's check out Aroma, and see what all the Indian food fuss is about!" I went for a buffet lunch today, being from that part of the world I had a craving for Indian cuisine and decided to go in on a hunch. I should have turned around and marched out when the "hostes"s took me to the buffet and didn't know the price. Uhoh. Maybe she's new, she's not indian, really sweet tho, what the heck I'm here, I said to myself. The food had zero substance, no taste no flavor, not an ounce of spices (and I don't mean spicy spices either) I tried just about everything hoping and praying that something would wake up my taste buds the way these dishes always do, but nope. Worst yet, I got there just as they were starting the buffet yet the food was cold, and I had to wait for 10 minutes for cold naan to come to the table. Which I can still taste the freezer burn in my mouth. There was no wait staff just a poor hostess who I am going to assume was her first day and had never heard of Indian food until the minute I walked in. There was no music playing it was cold and dark and dreary with no ambiance. I don't need to be transported to Mumbai but give me something, Indian music, some Bollywood movies. There was only 3 ppl there and it just seemed grim. If you have never experienced indian cuisine (shame on you, it's truly the best in the world when done right or even half right) please please don't let this be your first experience. Lake Mary has a few other restaurants and I would venture to say they are probably much better. Yes I know a restaurant should probably not be measured on a buffet alone. It's 99.99999% reheated food which is what I was expecting but, indian cuisine can taste fantastic even days after first initially cooked. I would probably recommend this to someone who has never tried indian cuisine and even sprinkling pepper on their dish makes it too spicy, those ppl might enjoy the dishes here. I'm sorry wish I had better things to write about, was really hoping this place would be fantastic.

I was in the area and craving Indian food! Found this place and thought the Sunday brunch buffet price wasn't so bad and it included beer or champagne. I got excited. Upon entering it was empty but cool. We sat down and the waitress told us to get what we wanted from the buffet. I had some questions about the buffet and if the drink really was included but the waitress walked away. Sooooo that never happened. The food was ok, I've had way better Indian food at other places. I wouldn't go out of my way to go again. There are better options in the Orlando area.

Went here with a lot of work folks and this place is solid. Good, cheap indian buffet. The naan was a bit crispy for my tastes (I prefer fluffy and soft) and delivered to your table in baskets. The buffet items were great. I got several of the items, none of them were bad. It was very affordable for an indian buffet, I'll definitely return!

I'm Punjabi, so I hold Indian food to a very high standard. I'm proud to announce that Aroma Indian Cuisine produces some fantastic, authentic Punjabi food. The butter chicken was spot on with the spices, and was plentiful. The price was right too. Service was quick, but we were the only ones there. I'm surprised people don't eat here more often. This restaurant is worth the money.

My hubby ventured in to Aroma Indian Cuisine yesterday and filled up two huge take out containers full of food off of their buffet. We had driven by the restaurant several times, but were reluctant to go in and eat because of the negative reviews posted on yelp. I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken tikka masala was made with white meat chicken, and it did not have that chewy fat that some of the low quality places serve. The Vegetable Korma was creamy and good and the spinach was buttery and delicious. I'm not saying this is the best indian food I have ever had in my life, but it is by FAR the best Indian food in Lake Mary. I have eaten at Indian restaurants all over the U.S., and I did not find the food to be greasy at all. I'm not sure if they have different chefs at different times or what, but our experience was positive one. We will definitely be going back. The lunch buffet is a GREAT deal at only $7.95.

I'm a spice lover and had high expectations for Aroma. I stopped by for lunch and they had a decent selection of dishes (chicken tikka masala, paneer, tandori chicken) on their buffet. They brought fresh naan to the table and it was well made (not dripping in grease) and also served 2 pieces of the tandori chicken. Their positives were: attentive service and well made chicken. Otherwise, it was a meh kind of experience. Sometimes I struggle with describing average but this is it. Not bad but not memorable either. I was definitely hoping for a POP of flavor to inspire me, guess not today.

My husband and I visited Aroma Indian Cuisine for dinner last night and were very impressed. The restaurant was very clean and modestly decorated and our waitress was very nice and eager to guide us through the menu if we desired. To start we got 2 vegetable samosa's which were delicious. As our main dishes we ordered the Aloo Gobi and Palak Paneer with a side of naan. The Gobi was very flavorful with just the right amount of spice for a medium dish. The palak paneer was the best I have ever had, so creamy and flavorful. Both were a very impressive serving size, they even brought us out an extra large second serving of rice, and we had leftovers to enjoy the next day! Everything tasted very fresh and the price was very reasonable, $9-11 a dish. I don't understand the negative reviews on yelp for this place but we definitely plan on going back in the future to enjoy the lunch buffet. Our waitress assured us there were plenty of vegetarian options on the buffet and we're excited to try it!

I've eaten at the lunch buffet several times and always enjoyed it. The best part is that they have some variety on the buffet. I don't know that much about Indian food, but there is little worse than a buffet where everything looks and tastes the same. I love that aroma gives you a good selection of entrees and sides. A great taste for a great price!

Fresh, hot food even when we got there near the end of a Saturday buffet. Naans brought to table were warm, crisp and not super greasy. Mango lassi was an amazing finish touch. Food was flavorful not just extra hot with no flavor. I've dined in and gotten to go, both times were better than neighboring Indian restaurant, whose food tends to be very heavy in butter and oil. The service is improving, they are a little slow but super friendly and helpful with the menu items. Recommended by my Indian friend, and glad I tried it!

My original review was filtered out of the Aroma Indian Cuisine Review Page. I almost missed out on this diamond in the ruff because of a few yelp reviews I read. My mother and I decided to have the lunch buffet at Aroma and really enjoyed it. The restaurant is small and cozy and while there are not as many dishes to choose from as a standard buffet, the variety is decent and delicious. I enjoyed all of the buffet dishes, but the chicken briyani, tikki masala, and curry were my favorites. My mother and I also enjoyed all of the vegetable dishes and tried the rice pudding for dessert. That was also delicious! I am disappointed in the reviews that I have seen regarding Aroma. It makes me really question their validity. While this restaurant is not an elaborate one, you can have great indian food for a reasonable price. The owners are also very friendly and accommodating. It's difficult to find Indian food in the Central Florida area. I hope that this restaurant becomes more popular among locals and is a success. I'm looking forward to my next dining experience at Aroma!

My boyfriend and I went here a month or so ago and I cannot stop thinking about going back... we're finally going back tonight! The food was delectable and the staff was very nice. We ordered the Kashmiri Naan, which was so good it could have been for dessert. My favorite food is Indian, and I go all over town for it. This is a little bit of a drive (18 miles) but it's well worth it. The Daal was very good and their Masala Paneer was delish, too. I definitely recommend going.

Went here with my family and had a very nice meal. The food was tasty and the service was very good. The nice part is they offer some south Indian cuisine, like chaat and dosa, so parts of the menu are distinctive from the traditional Punjabi cuisine that is available on the north side of Orlando. We sampled the chaat (excellent), chicken tikka masala, and an eggplant dish - all very good. The one strange thing was we ordered chapati and either they mixed up the order or they have a very different recipe than what I've had before. This was more like a kulcha. Give this place a try. Good Indian food and a little different from most places in Orlando.

I've been to this place and the other indian restaurants in Lake Mary, FL. I have been to Aroma 4-5 times since it opened a month back. This is definitely better than memories of India, which is worthless for its price. The food here is pretty good. For fine dining during dinner, definitely try their Chicken Curry. And if you plan for a weekend buffet, definitely go on a Sunday. They have awesome Chicken Biryani, Chicken Curry for Sunday buffet.Definitely worth going if you are looking an indian restaurant in Lake Mary

My wife and I had eaten here twice since the last time (both at the week day lunch buffet) and everything was good. Just make sure to go on a week day and you will be fine.

Ever go some place and think "these folks really should not be in the restaurant business". Well I definitely thought that on my trip here. The naan was oily - could actually squeeze it. The 2 entrees had a thick substance so that the consistency was that of that fatty film left inside of a can of coconut milk. The vegetable samosa was all potato and had a really bizarre after taste. The staff was nice but inept including difficulty processing a credit card order. That could be excused if the food was good, but tonight my family ate cereal. There are two other indian restaurants in lake mary and each have some great dishes. There is absolutely no reason to visit this place.
