Thank goodness this horrible "restaurant" is going thru a total remodel. With any luck the food, staff and atmosphere will be flushed into oblivion also. This dump and the Cattle Baron restaurant upstairs are great examples of how horrible the backwards and ignorant The Villages mindset and lack of progressiveness really is. Appearance is everything here. Cheapness is paramount over actual quality. Adherence to corporate rules is required. This place portrays that Disney mentality - all is well, don't question anything. Food must be cheap, bland and neutral. Tasting good, looking good and being cheap is required for success. Golden Corral, McDonalds and Chik-Fil-A are always crowded and highly recommended by the flocks of sheep that are "The Villagers". My best example of Katie Belles lack of class and quality: the salad/soup bar has two soups - chicken noodle & cream of mushroom. What imagination! As we watch, a waitress brings out more cream of mushroom. She dumps said soup from a just opened Sysco #10 can directly into the steam vessel on the bar. It should be barely tepid by tomorrow. Sadly true, and common to everything about The Villages; cheap, crappy, minimum wage and does not require any sense of taste (in any sense). Sad sad sad place to visit, much less live.

The service was awful. Drinks took 20 minutes and the food an hour. E dry one that worked there obviously hated it. The best part is when the server disappeared for 30 minutes and I needed a refill, the bar put a $50 hold on my card for a week. I will never be back here again. The food is atrocious!

I really enjoyed the meal which came with a bread, salad, and soup bar! The pricing was good for what I ordered which was the Tortellini Rosetta. The servers were friendly and there was always someone available when you needed to ask a question. The decor was nice as it is western themed and different from many places around Orlando. I would go back again! The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five was because they said there were no reservations till April over the phone yet another person was able to set the reservation for last night. There were many empty tables so I'm not sure as to why they would lie about reservations but other than that we had a great time!

The music was so loud when we arrived and the outside dining was not open so we went upstairs to the Cattle Barron where we had a good steak, a poor salad bar, good soup and bread bar. Really, the salad bar is lame. Service was so so.

I love the shows and love to watch the seniors dancing but don't know what kind of food is good. Wish more seniors living in The Villages will review in Yelp

Wow! Went with some friends that live in The Villages to The Cattle Baron upstairs. There were six of us. We all got the special of the night. 7oz prime rib with choice of potato or vegetable. The prime rib was really great. With it you had an unlimited salad bar and fresh bread. You could also get a bowl, or two or three of Hungarian goulash. It was all delicious. The service was also great. We would go back with our friends.

Out of business. Out of business. Being turned into steak house. Out of business. Key club ?? Any sex going on?

So, my parents, who live in the Villages, took us here for lunch. They boasted about live entertainment and talked it up. We were seated by a grouchy man who seemed annoyed that we had a toddler with us (understandably but he's extremely well behaved otherwise we wouldn't dine out with him). Our server was one of the worst servers I've ever had. Awful. He didn't seem to know the menu, he forgot the bar drinks and worst of all, he forgot to put in our child's food order. The 4 adult entrees came our and I said, "we're missing the kid meal". The server, who didn't deliver the food, came right over and told us, "looks like we're missing a hot dog, I'll go grab it". I used to be a server and I knew immediately he forgot to punch it in. Food was blah. Definitely not good. We had a cheese steak, a French dip and two specials which were briskets. Greasy and bland. The cole slaw was good. Fifteen minutes later, here comes the $6 hot dog which is more like a kielbasa than a hot dog. Not for kids. Thankfully my son ate some of it. At the end of the meal before any plates were cleared, he brought the check. Didn't mention dessert at all, which was odd. My husband doesn't drink so he often gets dessert as his treat. I did speak up and mentioned that the kid meal comes with ice cream. The server disagreed with me. He said he's go check. Then he came back with ice cream. Which is pre scooped into a dish and put in the freezer in the dish, which means that it needs to sit for about 10 minutes before you can even attempt to scoop into it with a spoon. A kid eating it? Forget it. We got charged for the kids meal which wasn't very great service considering all is adults were finished before his food even came. The server brought our change and we left the tip in cash on the table. As we finished and sat for another 5 minutes because it was pouring out, the server came over and grabbed his tip off the table which was right in front of my father. It wasn't pushed to the side or to the end of the table. Super tacky. We all sort of looked at each other and laughed. Whatever. Won't be going back there next time we visit my parents. Their staff needs some serious training in customer service and the kitchen needs some lessons as well.

It's good for entertainment, and that's it. I live here in The Villages and have eaten here a few times thinking maybe the food got better than last time, but no luck. I've gotten seafood which tasted like it was definitely frozen and I've gotten the prime rib which was fatty and tasteless. The poor servers seem like they're overwhelmed. I usually find myself walking across the square to one of the other eateries here. I'm done with this place... for food anyway!

We ate upstairs so not as loud and noisy. Great food, fun environment!

I am very pleased to have had a chance to experience Katie Belle's. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. I had the pastrami ruben and it was perfect. The staff was super friendly. The entertainment today was great. My son asked the singer to sing a "crazy song". Without even flinching the lady sang "Lady Gaga - Bad Romance"

Very dissatisfied with the service. It was after lunch and nobody knew what was going on. Tried to seat us at different tables that were being set up for large group. Waitress told him not to sit any more people at her station but guess what we were seated at her station. Waited a long time to get our drink order once placed. Then ordered lunch and again waited a long time. There was only four of us. Have had better service before thought we would take our company here but they were not impressed with the place. Next time we will got someplace else. Food wasn't that good either. The steak sandwich was tough.

Loved the new seafood dish over angel hair pasta in creamy saice Fish was also excellent.

Their lunch is not so great. I ordered the Threaded Noodle Salad. It was described in the menu as Asian bean thread noodles tossed with peas, carrots, celery, shrimp and served with sweet Saki Vinaigrette. Sounded yummy and worth the 8.99 price tag. What I actually got was a side salad with noodles drowning in Italian dressing. Gag. My fault for ordering something Asian from a place like Katie Belle's I suppose...

Attended the Mama Mia morning "show" which turned out to be a cheap breakfast served on paper plates and the showing of the movie with on-screen lyrics to the songs so people could sing along. I've had better food on airplanes. We paid $16.50 for this event and it was pitiful. It never ceases to amaze me what the people here put up with. Katie Belles is so stingy they even collected the maracas and tambourines that were on the tables. They stuffed 300 people in a room, collected $4,950 and served breakfast using paper plates and Styrofoam coffee cups. The breakfast was tater tots, a small glop of scrambled eggs with unidentified ingredients thrown in, a biscuit and a bowl of fruit. We were totally disgusted with the entire event.

Great food. A must go to place in the villages. Also on the 1st floor there is a dance floor.

Really, with all of the other places here in the villages to eat, I am surprised people still visit Katie Belles so often. I almost think that Village residents come here because it is a resident exclusive restaurant. I have not been really pleased with much of their lunch or dinner menu OR the service I have received there. The place does have two things going for it... Charm, The interior is designed to look like a southern style grand ballroom or the inside of an 1800's river boat. They offer a pretty good Breakfast Brunch on the weekends (open to non members as well) offering eggs, french toast, fruit, fried chicken and more.. That is the only time I will ever return to Katie Belle's for food. I want to like this place more, but with many other better establishments to choose from in the villages I'd have to say I will pass for now.
