Omggggg this is one of my favorite places to eat getting in Florida. Food is good. Didn't really like the yellow rice so I stuck with the white rice and beans. Portions are great. Their cilantro and garlic sauce is amazing! It's a fast food home cooked meal kinda place.

Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with this place. Great food at reasonable prices. The place was clean and the lunchtime crowd moved along nicely. Selection is impressive and I thoroughly enjoyed my entire dining experience. Will definitely be back.

You come to this place for the food: Citrusy chicken, sweet plantains, savory black beans, white rice and yuca... it doesn't get any better than that. You can find such yummy dishes and many more at Pollo Tropical. A Florida chain, this place offers all the awesomeness of caribbean food without having to travel south of the border...way south. Shortly after ordering your meal you will inevitably run into the condiment bar, the place where you will find the perfect sauces for your meal. Try the cilantro mayo, or the guava bbq, or the curry mustard... actually, just try all of them and your taste buds will thank you for the rest of the day! lol So why 4 stars and not 5? Well, I would have actually given it 3.5 stars if I could have. While the food and sides are amazingly tasty, and they are the reason I go there every time I am in the sunshine state, their service is on the worse side of 'ok'. Come here for the food, but expect longer-than-average waiting lines (for fast food) and not the friendliest service. Having said that, I will come back to this place time and time again!.

Regarding to all other reviews... "Do not expect a fast food restaurant, under $5, to be as clean and as good as a $$$$ restaurant...." As for the restaurant... Amazing good food (for a $5 plate) , must try the Guava Bbq Sauce!! Most of the time the line moves fast enough and you are served very fast too, some plates are around $5 and there is nothing too expensive that you would not want too try...

I tried Pollo Tropical for the first time after finding this location on Irlo Bronson Highway not far from Downtown Disney. The Caribbean cuisine it offers is an extremely original fast food menu. The restaurant offers a lot of grilled chicken items, including sandwiches and wraps, and some BBQ ribs and pork dishes. Sides include plantains and yuca fries. During two visits I had the tangy pineapple grilled chicken wrap, the guava BBQ pork sandwich and the yuca fries. They were so good I want to go back and try more menu offerings. The pineapple chicken wrap, which is billed as a limited time item, comes in a lavash flatbread. It tastes great and isn't a heavy meal, but the size was smaller than I expected. It was around the same size as a McDonald's snack wrap but priced like a main entree. The restaurant offers a sauce bar with tasty and exotic selections, including cilantro garlic, curry mustard and spicy poyo poyo. I don't know what that last sauce is, but it has a sharp kick to it and was good on the yuca fries. You also can make your own menu item with TropiChops. After choosing grilled chicken, pork or a vegeterian meal, you choose a rice or lettuce base, veggies or beans to top it off and some sauces. This location was chaotic but pretty clean and the employees were friendly. You can see the chicken cooking on the grill from the order counter or the fast-food window.

I asked for sauce on my tropichop and the guy said no.i go to the window ask why and he gave me the sauce.uhhh why did you say no when i asked??? So i took my sauce and the food then asked for 1 more tropichop and he tells me to go around again! Are you kidding me? No im not going to wait behind people if im already here. So i left, get home my tropichops lid was off and the food was spilt in the bag. One time i went here and they told me they had no chicken how is that possible?! This place sucks!
