I just don't get the hype surrounding Chicago-style pizza. I've never sampled any that live up to all the raves I hear about it, and I've even tried it at a well-known local pizza joint in the Windy City itself. Giordano's also failed the taste test. We had both a regular and a deep-dish pie, and both were super meh. The crust on the regular one was like a cracker, not chewy bready, as I usually prefer it. The deep dish one was slightly burned. So not impressive. One in our party ordered spaghetti with meat sauce - man, was that a blood pressure spiker on a plate. Tasted as if someone had unloaded a salt shaker into it just after serving it up on the plate. Maybe they did, in haste -after all, our waiter Sam had forgotten that part of the order and had to bring it out late. (This is why I don't totally trust people who try to memorize orders for big groups - despite us ooh-ing and ahh-ing after he recited the order for our group of eight back to us before he went to put it in, he forgot the pasta.) Anyhoo, speaking of large groups - they tacked on 18% gratuity for ours, which I certainly don't begrudge for good service. Heck, I don't even begrudge it for only ok service. But Sambo just seemed to coast the entire time we were there - very inattentive and lackadaisical, prolly b/c of the guaranteed tip. Shame.

We come here every time we come to Orlando for vacation. The pizza is always AMAZING! We also use the coupon in those little Orlando coupon books for the FREE Tomato Basil Bread (yummy). However, the service is ALWAYS super slow and never around when you need somethin'. They did have a balloon animal guy this time, so my kiddos loved it.

Their pizza is nothing like traditional Chicago pizza. It's not very good. They recently increased their prices by 50% even though their manager argued that this wasn't true. When your pizza use to cost $12 and now cost $18 that is a difference of $6 which is half or 50% of the old price. I'll be surprised if this place is still in business next time I'm back in Florida.

We stopped in for a carry-out after a LONG day at Gatorland. My hubby is from Chicago, so we are very familliar with the Giordano's chain. Pizza was very good, as good as I remember from the Chicago locations. Check the local coupon booklets (we found one at Shell World) for some good coupons. And yes, as with ALL Chicago pizza, it does take a while, but it will be worth it!

Reviews were mixed but we'll go if it gets at least 3 1/2 stars. We looked up the menu online and the pictures made our mouth water. We love pizza and pasta! On the plus side, the portions were big and the prices ($110 for 7 people) were decent. The service was okay. But they could have told us we were ordering way too much food! The food was, well, just food. We love deep dish pizza, especially Zachary's Pizza in Oakland,CA. So we ordered the same pizza we normally order at Zachary's, sausage, mushroom, onion, and peppers. Zachary is a 5 star Chicago pizza in our books. Giordano's is a 1, the crust and filling were tasteless, almost unpalatable. We ordered bruchetta, antipasto, Caesar, combination platter of appetizer, linguini, and spaghetti with meatballs. These were not very good. Good thing we skipped lunch so our stomachs managed to inhale most of the food. Even my pasta loving daughter picked at her linguini. It was a very disappointing meal first meal on our vacation. Flippers on the north east side of Disneyworld is so much better.

Our spinach and Italian sausage pizza was good. The service was not. After ordering our drinks and pizza, we were ignored for the duration of the time it took to make our pizza. The menu warns deep dish takes longer. I was ok with that. I wasn't ok with waiting over 30 minutes for a refill. Seriously, it's June in Florida - it's important to keep hydrated!! It wasn't very busy while we were there, either, so I'm not sure what the deal was. The pizza was better than at the Chicago location we visited in September (can't recall which specific location). However, their sauce does require a little doctoring to have a flavor beyond dull tomato sauce. The cheese was definitely more flavorful at this Kissimmee location. This isn't discount pizza. Our medium deep dish pie was $23 - before tip. If you want cheap, don't come here (I'd recommend trying the revamped Domino's for cheap). But if you're after a hearty deep crusted pizza that's at least passable for Chicago style, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Long ago I lived in Chicago and, since I love pizza, I would get a Chicago-style one probably once a month or so. Giordano's was never my favorite, but then I never turned it down either... so fast forward to a recent vacation in Orlando and I was super pleased to have this place as an option. Once I saw it near our hotel, I was like "ok, we're going here one night"... If only it had lived up to memory... we ordered both a stuffed crust pizza and a thin crust pizza since one person in our party insists on thin crust pizza. Well, this person ultimately ended up liking their stuffed crust better, mostly because she found the thin to be very blah. I liked the stuffed crust, but it wasn't fantastic. Food was probably deserving of 3 stars, but the service was pretty poor. Our waiter didn't seem like he cared AT ALL about us. That was majorly disappointing. I also had the pleasure of over-hearing two kitchen staff members discussing if one of them had ever "had sex with Gina"... not what you want to be hearing from the guy making your pie!

Ordered the deep dish with onions and broccoli. The pizza took about 40 minutes to prepare but they tell you that before hand. The onions were not chopped small enough and they barely used any broccoli. They do use a lot of cheese though a real lot of cheese. The red sauce was bland overall the pizza was not good and a little on the expensive side about 23$ for a medium. The service was decent and they have two flat screen tvs not recommended.

if you like to eat overpriced frozen pizza, by all means come here. we got the small deep dish classic pizza. and our cousin got the thin crust version. never before have we seen "freshly" made pizza come out on a cardboard. the crust also tasted like cardboard. the crust was very hard and had no flavor. and $21 for a small deep dish?!? i can get a large in LA for the same price and the crust is soft and delishious.

Chicago chain place on the mega-tourist strip of 192 in Kissimmee. This is not my favorite chicago pizza, but considering this is Florida and not Illinois, i don't have any other options. Kept the glasses full and kept us happy. Try this place next time you are in the area. Great place next to Orlando Harley Davidson South. Stop in there for a shirt or two when done.

With all of the bland chain restaurants in this area, I'm surprised that this place was not crowded either of the two times I was in this location (8/15 and 8/21). On 8/15, we dined in. Weather was terrible that night, and the kitchen was somewhat backed up with delivery business, which both the hostess and waiter were kind enough to give us a heads up about. We had the Chicago style deep dish pizza - crust was light and flaky, yet strong enough to hand the cheese and sauce - excellent. They had some interesting toppings available, including a pesto chicken (somewhat bland) and a garlicky broccoli (excellent). The thin crust pizza is just ok; in my opinion, stick with the deep dish. Appetizers all very good, but the bruschetta was some of the best I've ever had, with fresh herbs, well buttered toast. Excellent service here, waiter was by very frequently to check on us, refill water, etc. My only disappointment was lack of locally brewed beer.

We got delivery from here twice during a one week vacation. We got the stuffed pizza (Chicago deep dish) both times. The delivery takes a while, up to 90 minutes, but that is to be expected since a deep dish takes almost an hour to bake even if you are sitting in the restaurant. I don't think people realize that when they complain about timing. Everything was delicious. I'm only not giving 5 stars because there was nothing exceptional. They did everything that we expected. Good food, solid, delivery. I would order from them again as soon as I'm in Kissimmee.

We had eaten at a Giordano's during a previous stay in the neighborhood, so when the kids wanted Italian for lunch we went. The lunch specials were the way to go, because this is not an inexpensive place to eat. Our server was outstanding. She took very good care of us, even anticipating some needs. That good. Two of us had Caesar salads, and they were well put together, fine portions with nice slices of cheese on top. (I didn't even ask if they had anchovies.) However, the dressing had sweet notes, probably something with HFCS in it. It wasn't Caesar dressing. Be warned. The parmesan garlic fries were interesting, but not really good. The kids loved the lasagna and the chicken parmesan sandwich. I got the Italian beef with peppers, and it was OK, until i dipped it. The dipping sauce they served it with was more of a brine. I don't understand, except that I do, within the context of the chain restaurant where nothing is cooked--only assembled. This sauce, like the salad dressing, came from a facility far away, and is intended to be inexpensive to mix and easy to store. It started as a three-star rating, but I have a "lose a star if you have a television in the dining area" policy. (They do have wifi, so there are several ways not to pay attention to your dining companions.)

We have had this place bookmarked for sometime and finally had a chance to try it out last week with family and friends. I was surprised to see a restaurant this busy on a weekday -Thursday- but it was worth the wait. On to the details: Even though the place was packed, it only took us 15 minutes to get a table for a party of 7, host was very helpful, patient and super friendly, which isn't usually the case in most restaurants in Orlando. Food: I would have to agree with other yelpers, if you are starving, I would recommend starting with an appetizer as it takes a while to get the pizza. We started off with a fried calamari plate, it was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Pizza came in 30 minutes later, did that take long? Probably, but for a place this big, I personally think it's ok to wait that long. We ordered two deep dish medium pies and one small extra thin one. If you are not a fan of delicious crunchy crust, loaded with ton of cheese and meats then the deep dish isn't for you, otherwise, it's worth every bite. The small extra thin pizza isn't small by any means, it can feed two people depending on how hungry you are. Service: reading through the reviews, it seems that most people weren't happy with the service, however, our table didn't find it to be the case. John was our waiter, and I would give him an A++ for his service. Drinks were ordered and delivered quickly, appetizers came in a timely manner, plates and table were cleaned as soon as we were done with the appetizers, new and fresh plates were brought afterwards to be used for the pizza. Pizza came in and John cut the pieces of the pies and put them in each individual's plate. Now that's what I call an epic service, thank you John. Would definitely come back to this location sometimes in the near future.

I want one. I really wish we had one of these at home. I was visiting from California and made my annual stop at Giordano's. Going through the reviews, I sense a similar pattern here. Most really like the pizza but hate the service. I can mostly agree with that. I love the pizza - I think it's delicious and to be honest no matter how crappy the service gets, I will continue coming back as long as the quality of the food stays consistent. The service is another story. I've had some good experiences and some very bad experiences. The bad seems to outweigh the good, but it doesn't mean that every experience is bad. I have had a couple very helpful and friendly servers. If they could actually hire some quality people to work here, this place would be hands-down amazing.

Another tourist trap. Unprofessional staff.we sat down and we had to ask for service after 20 minutes place was not even that busy. So finally the waiter came took the order wings arrived I would say 30 minutes after we placed the order cold. We asked to speak with the manager after waiting for an hour for the pizza to arrive. So he came and said Ohh wings were cold and didn't Seam to give a damn about the poor service so we asked for the check and left. Another family walked away right after we did for the same reason .. You have to wait 30 min for a pizza! If you are starving don't come here to eat. The pizza was OK very thick, I found myself picking out most of the things it had insid, it was good but I like holding my pizza in my hands and you can't do that with this pizza. We order one water and one soda, by the end we had 8 glasses of soda and 2 of water. The waiter kept bringing soda to the table at one point we had 3 full glasses of soda on the table when only one person was drinking soda. Ridiculous!

Excellent deep dish pizza! You won't be disappointed. Our service was excellent. We were seated right away and brought drinks. We had the sampler appetizer (fried- mozzarella mushrooms and ravioli) and house salad both were delicious. Our pizza (which does take 45 min to cook) was worth the wait. It's just like if you were in Chicago minus the accents. An added treat for us was a wonderful balloon artist who stopped by the restaurant to make items for guests. My friends son was in heaven! Kudos to them for allowing him in it really adds to the family atmosphere. Added tip: if you want a break from the Disney property this is worth the drive alone. There is also a mini golf place in the same area. Instant family fun.

Best pizza around. I have been here several times and they never disappoint. We always get the stuffed pizza and it is so freaking good. It does take quite a while to bake though so expect at least 35-45 minutes for it. I came up with this idea that worked perfectly. My wife and I came in and placed the order then went to the putt putt place while it cooked and then came back. The pizza was just getting ready and best of all the putt putt place gave us a free appetizers coupon that we used.

While the pizza is great the service is not. I should've taken names but I digress as I do not like to outright call people out. I just feel like the front of the house, in this case it was this rude fat short girl, was terrible at her job. She seemed to me as a person that picks and chooses who to be nice to. I was told she'd be right with me even though she just stood there to chat with others. I then went over to this nicer taller girl who rung me up but did not say even a single thank you or please wait while we get your order. So I took a hint and waited about 15 minutes until I asked the fat short girl about my order- to which see took 5 minutes to get. She came back looking grossly pisst as if I was an inconvenience to her. I just think that if you hate your job so much about it then please work else where. Most people would be happy to take your job. And they're service would probably outshine your disgusting service. Again the food was good but I won't come back or order from here again. Also the manager that night walked around oblivious to EVERYTHING! As a customer service rep and having managerial skills I am appalled.

Wanted to try something new that I can't get around home. Got a large Chicago style delivered to the resort I was staying at. They wouldn't deliver right to the room you have to meet them in front of the lobby. I asked on the phone for plates and utensils was told no problem. The delivery driver showed up and didn't have either. His excuse was it didn't state it on the receipt. The pizza was okay the crust really flakey lots of sauce easily feed 4 or 5 people. By the time it got here it was warm. For the punt I paid I hoped for more.

Had been looking forward to eating here since we love the ones in Chicago, but absolutely ruined my last night of vacation. $40 for a medium pizza, eat one slice and spent the whole rest of the night in the bathroom!! Thanks Giordano's! My wife and kid appreciate it!! To add an addition to writing my review last night, I decided that $40 for 3 slices of pizza plus terrible sickness was a little to much and called and asked for a refund. Never before in my life have I had a restaurant come back to my resort and pick up the rest of my uneaten pizza!!!that was the only way I could get a refund which Sarah said would take 25-30 days to show up in my credit card. I will be on the phone with their corporate office tomorrow about this terrible experience!!!

I love this place! Well, I should say that I love the pizza. I can't speak in depth about the service. Their deep dish pizza is next to none in the area. I have a very healthy appetite, and even I couldn't handle more than 2 slices. There is so much cheese and topping! Make sure that you call ahead of time, even if you're dining in, since the deep dish pizzas take about 45 minutes to make, and that feels like forever when you're hungry.

Heyy! So my dad came over for a visit, and I suggested we try the traditional Chicago classic here in Orlando. We've both been to Giordano's in Chicago, and thought we'd give it a try. I found out they have a military discount, which was a bonus. I feel like these pizzas are a bit overpriced to begin with, but with the discount, it makes it not as bad. We got take out, so I can't say too much on service. The lady at the take out counter seemed a little oblivious, but thats not a big deal. The pizza was just as I expected; I'm not the biggest fan of this style being from Detroit originally, but my dad loved it! Overall, I'd say places like Flippers make a better product, but this is definitely a taste of home, if home is Chicago!

Yuck, yuck, yuck! Should have just gone to the chain steak restaurants in the same parking lots. Like Doyle H. said, the surrounding restaurants were packed and Giordano's was not. I am getting upset while writing this review so i will have to keep it short. Everything from the appetizers to the pizza seemed like it was frozen. On top of that, everything from the appetizers to the main entrees arrived to the table cold. Mozzarella sticks were even gross. The pizzas were nasty and looked and tasted like they were purchased at the Winn-Dixie behind the restaurant. They definitely profit from the convenience factor from the Disney tourists at the rentals and timeshares not knowing any better. Shame on them.

REVIEW OF SERVICE NOT FOOD I called this establishment based on a telephone number and menu in my resort welcome package. When I called, I was placed on hold by a female. I was on hold for close to five minutes, when a gentleman then picked up the phone. He was kind in alerting me that the dish I wanted was not offered at their restaurant. He placed me on hold to make sure. He said their menu constantly changes and it is difficult to keep up. I said no problem, and asked if they could make it, since they have all the items that go into this dish. I was placed on hold again. He then told me he was putting the manager on the phone. I explained to the manager what I wanted, and read the title of the dish off of the menu sitting in front of me. He said let me know what it is you want because I am looking at the menu right here. I said "the oven-baked rigatoni", and he said "we don't oven-bake our rigatoni. You are wither talking about the chicken carbonara or the oven-baked lasagna with ricotta." I said no, but almost. Since you have the ingredients can you make it for me? He said no, we don't just make special dishes for customers. He also asked if I knew which place I was calling. I told him it's on your menu, that's where I got the phone number. I read it, again. He said where does it say that? He read his list of dishes, and said "is that what it says?" I said no. He chuckled and said well then what does it say because the menu is sitting right here. I said well it says what I am reading to you, but never mind, goodbye. To argue with a customer and laugh condescendingly is terrible customer service. Obviously I had an old menu and they changed it, but instead of telling me that, and perhaps saying that he was sorry he couldn't accommodate me, and maybe we could try another dish, he was incredibly rude. Way to lose a customer. ***I wil be posting photos of the menu I received.

I feel like I'm being generous with three stars...only because the pizza was delicious. The crust was great. Everything else about this pizza joint was a bust. Was told after a long phone hold that our order would arrive in 45 minutes to 1 hour. An hour and a half later I called in and was put on hold for 10 minutes! I hung up, called back and was about to be put on hold again when I refused and was told the driver was just leaving. We got a coupon for a free garlic cheesy bread, if you have the same, just throw it away. It was very small and cold. The Chicago chop salad was terrible. Very bland. Very basic salad considering the $10 price tag. Smores pizza looks amazing but a bite into the pizza will have you disappointed. The only good thing about them is the actual taste if the pizza. We got the deep dish with artichokes, pesto chicken and bacon. Was pricey at $26+ but the crust was delicious. It was flakey like a pie crust. Very, very good. All in all, if you have time to wait and only want to eat pizza, you could order here. Otherwise, I would order Pizza Hut. I had to listen to a wife and two kids cry about how hungry they were for about 2 hours. Don't be me. It was a tense two hours in our hotel room.

The pizza is AMAZING! We had the famous deep dish stuffed pizza (takes 45mins to cook) and it exceeded my expectations. So you may be asking why I only gave it 3 stars? The service. The service was by far some of the worst service I have ever experienced. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a host who appeared as if she had no clue what was going on. Then we were sat at a small table for two, but it was noticeably caddy-cornered in a very awkward position, so we straightened it up. Our server, Melvin, acted as if we were a burden. He never gave any suggestions or recommendations of what to order. When we ordered the 45min pizza he said, "You know that's gonna take 45mins, right?" ...ummm yeah. I can read the menu. At that point he could have offered an appetizer or salad, of which we probably would have taken. During the 45 minute wait, he came by table ONCE to give me a refill. And then at the end, as he was casually walking past, he ask "Do you need anything else?" At the conclusion, he never thanked us for coming and didn't even present the check in any way, just the good old fashioned receipt in the table. Next time, we'll be ordering out...I can provide better service to myself at home. Oh and btw, they have Pepsi products - enough said. :)

Very expensive for what you really get, it was overwhelming with red sauce felt like it became lasagna. Couldn't taste other topping which we paid extra for. Went last night. Food was good (wound up getting carry out - more on that later), but service was awful. Just me and the wife on an admitted busy night, but it is tourist season, right? And the US was playing Ghana in the World Cup so people are out celebrating. Put our names in, and when it was time to get seated, the server put us at a booth that was meant for 140 lb Europeans, not Americans. The wife and I are not fat - we are normal size Americans, but there is no way that anyone over 140 lbs was getting into that booth. We returned to the hostess station to see two booths still empty (that we could fit into) that had been empty for 20 minutes. We were told they weren't filling those since they didn't have enough servers to handle those tables? What???? We asked if we could just sit at the bar (because there were empty seats there) and were told that we couldn't because they had just sat a party in the bar area and they didn't know if that would overload the bartender. So, we put in a carry out order. I'm sitting in the bar waiting for the pizza (yes, in the same seat I was told they couldn't sit me in) for about 15 minutes, when two guys in restaurant polos come in. I asked them why the restaurant would keep empty tables when there were people willing to sit down and eat. One of the guys - without averting his eyes from the US/Ghana soccer game - says "I don't know man, you have to talk to someone else. That's not our responsibility, we're just delivery guys." So they both SAT DOWN in the bar to watch the game. Amazing! The restaurant can't get enough help to sit people that want to eat and they have employees sitting in the bar watching soccer. Took the food home and it was good, but the service was the worst I've ever had.

The pizza was average at best. For Chicago style deep fish, I was unimpressed. They didn't bother to cut the pizza through all the way and being as we were staying at a hotel, it was really hard to eat after it fell apart. They also do not deliver to hotel rooms. This is the first time I've ever encountered this. They make you meet them in the lobby which isn't a big deal but at that point you might as well save some time and just go pick it up instead of waiting an hour for delivery. The whole experience was very anti climactic considering how much we paid for a medium pizza. Nearly $30 later for a medium one topping is highway robbery.

Breaks my heart to say this, but not sure if we will return especially to this location. This review isn't about the pizza but the service we experienced. We went today for lunch and my boyfriend got a refill of his pop, for it to only not be his pop. The waiter messed his pop up with the neighbors. The refill came back with a lemon in it and a straw with no paper. When they bring you pop and refills the straws are new with paper/wrapper on the tips. His pop was regular and the neighbors was diet with lemon, he noticed immediately. Waiter gets a new one, but did not apologize. After a while neighbor says to waiter, I think we got our lines crossed I had diet, not regular. So he never apologized and brings bill with pop on it. BF states it should be removed (which he shouldn't have to pay for pop after drinking from someone else's cup). Then to add insult, bf walks up after because waiter and we think manager is looking in our direction, so bf walks up there. He starts to tell what happened and she walks away and didn't listen. Way to care about customers! How would they feel if they drank from someone else's cup? So then the waiter lies to his face and stated something about another cup, ok then why was there a lemon in it (which the neighbor had in his cup) and no wrapper on the tip?? I know this is a terrible review, but just wanted to recount events. I think in today's world with all the germs, people need to be more careful and own their mistakes, all he had to do was to acknowledge his mistake.

Best Chicago pizza hands down!! Went to Chicago 2 years ago and when I moved to Orlando, I was totally shocked to see one here. The pizza is worth the wait. It normally take them about 30 to 45 mins to make your pizza but you will not regret it.

We were told no substitutions could be made on the pizza...most likely because the pizza is pulled right out of the freezer, popped into and oven and then served. Stumbled upon this place using my Foodspotting App, and this was recommended for best pizza. Service is slow, but they have signs posted that the pizza takes 30 minutes which makes sense. We ate here during our vacation, we ordered house salad and the Chicago classic stuffed pizza with Pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers & onions. The salad was good, but the pizza was absolutely fantastic! We really enjoyed it. The crust was flaky, the sauce was flavorful and it was just cheesy and delicious! The medium was so big that we still took plenty home for leftovers.

While surrounding restaurants were packed, Giordano's was not... That had me wondering almost immediately. I bravely ordered the chicken carbonara rigatoni. The results of that order was something not exactly homemade. The chicken was a pre-cooked pre-cut to exact size, fajita type chicken. The veggies in the dish were lacking. This dish is historically quite eggy and tasty. None of that here. It was pretty bland. The Alfredo sauce seemed canned, and if it was not, it was made without including any of the tastier elements of making such a sauce. I would give Giordano's another shot while avoiding the carbonara.

I stumbled across this restaurant in an Orlando magazine. Not high expectations. Much to my surprise, it was awesome! I had the stuffed crust super veggie pizza and I have to say it was The Best pizza I've ever had. It takes about 40 minutes because each is made fresh to order, but well worth the wait. The crust is almost like pastry crust. Light crispy buttery/sweet. The veggies inside were perfectly cooked. You could taste every single flavor. The cheese was no less impressive. A small pizza is more than enough for 2 people. It could be shared by three. This is a pizza for all others to be judged by. Aside from the food, the service was pretty good and the atmosphere was easy casual. No need to dress up, leave a theme park and go right to dinner!

Deep dish pizza isn't my thing, but all things considered, this wasn't the worst pizza in the world. We had called ahead, so it was hot, gooey and fresh on our table shortly after our arrival. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the crust. Good consistency and a little flavorful hit of oregano. The tomato sauce wasn't terrible either - it didn't seem over-salted, just straight up savory tomato and herbs. Where the pizza fell flat was the cheese. The cheese was flavorless, bland, and probably not very high-quality. And there was too much of it. If one of your complaints is that there's *too much* cheese on a pizza, then let's face it, the cheese probably sucks. Still, that was my only real problem here - otherwise, a solid pie, and better than expected.

Deep dish pizza was good and very filling. A large pizza fed 4 adults and 2 kids. The Greek salad and tiramusu we ordered for dessert were also good. Everyone was pleased with the food. We went during mid afternoon on a week day so there was no wait to be seated but the pizza still took a while to arrive. I guess that's normal for deep dish. Service was a bit slow and they didn't check with us as often as they should have. However, it wasn't horrible. I would definetely go back.

My family arrived in Kissimmee Florida for winter break and not knowing the restaurant scene we took the recommendation of our resort and tried Giordanos. Two of my family members must eat gluten free and Giordanos offers some gf choices. We were seated right away then told the wait for food would be an hour. We were tired and decided to wait. The restaurant was about three quarters full of hollow eyed patrons in the same predicament with two stressed out servers scurrying about apologizing and bringing oily cheese bread only half of us could eat. My daughter was struck with a migraine and went to rest in the car. We asked to have our meal boxed not plated and waited 45 minutes for those boxes. Returning to our lodgings we discovered a disgusting selection of over cooked pasta and pizza and a chop salad that looked like it was made in a garbage disposal with only four of the nine advertised ingredients. A 68 dollar debacle. Don't try to call the manager the phone is perpetually busy. The server was a sweetheart but this restaurant kitchen is not functioning well. When the conversation turned to what would Gordon Ramsey do we should have left. Met some nice folks and fist bumped our fellow sufferers on our way out in a final act of solidarity. Disappointing. The side salad came out with the wrong dressing, but the real trouble was the heap of fennel on top. Now, there's nothing wrong with fennel in a salad or with a fennel salad, but it's unconventional enough that you'd expect it to be advertised that way in a place that represents itself as a pizza restaurant. The server volunteered that nearly everyone just picks it off. ...so someone in the kitchen is so disconnected from their clientele that they're using a relatively expensive ingredient that almost everyone doesn't want and almost none of the rest would miss. In addition to the bad idea, the execution was terrible as well. My sandwich came on the same plate as my salad, so the bottom of the sandwich was swimming in the dressing (which you may recall wasn't even the one I wanted in the first place). All-in-all, it was a disappointment when we were just looking for the typical pizza fare in a place that appeared to represent itself as a pizza place.

Saw the menu sitting on the table in our hotel room an thought we would give it a shot. Was expecting a mom an pop pizzeria but was pleasantly surprised with a full service pizza Italian restaurant with full bar. Excellent calamari--extra fresh and very tender. Probably the best I've ever had. Fried ravioli was to die for. (6 come in an order). My favorite was the garlic lemon wings. Did not tasty like lemon at all, as I'm not a lemon fan but a huge garlic fan. Every time I see garlic wings an order them I am very disappointed. Giordano's Made Us an Offer We Should Have Refused. On the night we arrived for a week-long Kissimmee/Orlando family reunion, our adult daughters chose Giordano's for take-out because (a) we were starving, (b) it was close to our resort, (c) their menu was extensive, and (d) we were given Giordano's coupons when we checked in to our condos. Hands down, we should have refused the offer. On the plus side, Giordano's is centrally located to Kissimmee resorts, parking is easy and plentiful, the staff is friendly and competent, our order (which was huge) was ready on time as promised, their chicken wings (we tried two varieties) are quite good, the salad was fresh and flavorful, and they are generous with their sauces. On the negative side, the food (except for the chicken wings and salad) is virtually inedible and it's really expensive, even with the coupon offers. We ordered four different pizzas and in all four cases, we couldn't tell the pizza itself from the box in which it came. The crust was corrugated cardboard, the toppings were non-existent and cheese, cheese, cheese was everywhere, as though Mount Vesuvius had overflowed with cheap mozzarella and then calcified there. The calamari were like chewing on the earlobes of little, old European women (I can say this because I am a little, old European woman), dipped in soggy breadcrumbs, fried to limpness, and seasoned not at all. Except for the chicken wings and salad, we had a couple of bites and disposed of most of the rest of it. I don't do this idly - I was raised never, ever to throw out food, no matter what, on pain of death. If you like paying a lot of money for mostly substandard food, Giordano's is your kind of place. Hey, I should have known better - we accidentally came here six years ago and had the same experience - but I didn't recognize the restaurant until we drove up to retrieve our order. What's that other line from "The Godfather" ... "Leave the gun. Take the cannoli"? In this case, it would be just "leave the Giordano's."

Every time we are in Florida, we come here twice during our stay! And this is one of the few things I look forward to when we are in Florida. I always get a spinach and a special. Spinach was something my sister always ordered, and so it satisfies the veg-head in me. The special... has a little bit of everything plus Italian sausage! Man that stuff is awesome!!! I cannot comment on the thin crust. You don't go to Giordanno's for the thin crust. It's like going to Peter Lugers and just getting a salad. And I am sorry, If I was in Chicago, this would not get five stars. Probably four, surely not five. REMEMBER YOU ARE IN ORLANDO THOUGH... Get it to go, get it delivered, or eat it there. If you eat it there and even think you are going to order a stuffed pizza, CALL AHEAD. Unless you are cool with a 40-50 minute wait... Sorry... New Yorkers and everyone else who thinks their stuff is the best. Chicago style pizza is the best, and Giordanno's is one of the best at it. Besides, you want the best pizza ever? This is definitely one of those times when I'm glad that I just stuck with instinct... why you ask? Well because if I had stuck with the rating then I probably would have skipped this place all together, but I really wanted to try this Chicago based pizza chain. I'm actually quite jealous they only have a presence from Chicago to the very East Coast... you see we just don't have that many places in Southern California that do a Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza and especially do it well (like Tony's Little Italy in Placentia,) but I checked this place out with two other very hungry guys and we are so glad that we did because we left sated and very happy. I was to do some major catching up with one of them with whom I went to High School with in Long Beach California, but he now resides in the Jacksonville area and was kind enough to make the drive up to meet up with me and my Disneyworld companion. I purposely did not eat all day simply because I wanted to save room for this hopefully (and it was) delectable pie. These stuffed pizzas take about 35-40 minutes to make it to your table, but that's ok since I had a lot of catching up to do anyway. Because we were three hungry masculine guys without a concern for calories, fat content, or carbs we went all out and ordered a Medium Meat & More Meat Pie: yelp.com/biz_photos/gior… which we all chewed slowly with every cheesy, tomaoey, meaty bite! Our eyes rolled back in sheer ecstasy as we all three enjoyed our pie. The sauce was quite delicious and had a nice "bite" to it. All in all this pizza possessed all elements in flavor, texture, and bite that we were craving displaying multitudes of flavor and texture. The cheese was both tasty and stringy, the sauce was flavorful and possessed the perfect amount without overdoing things, and the ingredients were all of great quality and proved quite savory! Despite our hunger and size... both the other guys were over 6 feet tall; we simply could not conquer this delicious beast! I haven't been to Chicago in ages so I really can't comment to the authenticity of this pizza, but I do know that we were all very happy with what we received... we even had Giordano's delivered to our Disney Hotel room! Service was quite fantastic and expedient from the whole staff. I simply have no complaints. Nothing too exciting about the decor, but it is busy enough to give one something to look at while he, or she waits for the food. Their menu is fairly large and they feature both Chicago Stuffed Pizza as well as Thin-Crust Pizzas. You can eat in, take with you, or have a pie delivered to wherever you're at within their delivery radius of course! They give you the ability to order online or on the phone as well. There is plenty of parking in their lot...we had 0 problem finding a spot. They have multiple Giordano's locations in the Orlando/Lake Buena Vista area so I highly recommend having a pie sent to your room if you're getting tired of theme park food and want something different. Their prices are very fair for the amount of food they give you.

The night we checked into our hotel in Florida, I was skimming the book of nearby places to eat and Giordano's had a picture of this magnificent looking deep dish pizza. Since they were near closing and we were pooped from the 10 hours of travel and 3 hour time difference, we trekked over to Giordano's the next night for dinner. We walked a mile in the rain and had already previously looked at their online menu, so we knew exactly what we were getting when we arrived. They killed it having pictures listed on their website! First we got the Bruschetta. The menu said nothing about having capers so I was disappointed with that. Chopped salad for me and a cheese deep dish with green olives for my boyfriend (wish they offered artichoke hearts as a topping!). The chopped salad was kind of sad and came with dressings in little plastic cups with lids, like there was no effort at all. It didn't taste good, it just tasted plain. I had a slice of the pizza and it was good, soooo much cheese, but that was to be expected. We were leaving just as they were closing, but once we made it to the parking lot we saw that it was pouring rain so we asked if they could call a cab for us. Thankfully the guy was really nice and called for us.

I am from NJ, and knowing that Florida is NOT known for there great pizza, this place is top notch. I am a huge fan of thin crust pizza, (it's a Jersey/New York thing) and I could never find a pizza place that was worthy enough for me to go back to again and again. The stuffed pizza, is like dip dish pizza. It it truly fantastic! We get a medium or large for about four people and it is plenty! Trust me when I say you will be stuffed fairly quickly when you eat this pizza! A little bit of advice order about 45 minutes early if you want to have pizza almost immediately once you arrive at the restaurant. If not, it does take about and hour to get out to the customers, which is understandable because of the amount of dough that has to cook. The prices are fair, and the atmosphere is pretty nice. The one thing I hate about this place is the location of the mall it is in, when facing out toward the road/parking lot, there are giant lights in your face (at dinner time/ at dark). They do have blinds that they can drop to avoid this problem just be aware! The atmosphere is very casual, and overall is a great place to get some dinner with friends.

I love good deep dish pizza. It's great stuff and hard to come by outside of chicago let alone the rest of the nation. Luckily enough Giordano's delivers quite similarly to what I recall from a much too long ago visit to the windy city. Found the place via restaurant.com and double-checked via yelp. Really makes it out to be a good deal. The food and service were quite good. There's a guy walking around tables making animal balloons for kids. Do note that they do not take reservations for groups under 20 (I could be off, my group was only 10). But no problem, barely waited as they set up a table for us. Nothing terribly special about decor and whatnot. The pizzas did take the approx 35 mins or so to bake. In the meantime we ordered the "sampler appetizers" which we probably shouldn't have - it wasn't bad by any means, just a lot of food. But good so nobody got cranky while waiting. The pizzas were good, they average roughly $25 for the large sizes and the crusts were nice and buttery. We had a bunch of leftovers at the end and the very courteous staff even boxed them up for us and gave me some Parmesan cheese to go =) Still good the next day as leftovers too (just don't nuke them) All in all, this is a great place near Disney to eat at.

We waited a very long time for a table, when there were 4 empty tables visible from the waiting area. We got 2 of the stuffed pizzas, and while the flavor was fine, the pizza was lukewarm at best. And this after waiting 40 minutes for it. Then, while trying to pay, they had an issue with the register. Somehow it didn't print the check for us to sign. Instead of proactively coming to us to let us know what was going on. They just kept my debit card for 20 minutes while tinkering with the machine. We finally were able to get to them and ask what the issue was and they just had me sign a blank piece of paper. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I just don't get the hype surrounding Chicago-style pizza. I've never sampled any that live up to all the raves I hear about it, and I've even tried it at a well-known local pizza joint in the Windy City itself. Giordano's also failed the taste test. We had both a regular and a deep-dish pie, and both were super meh. The crust on the regular one was like a cracker, not chewy bready, as I usually prefer it. The deep dish one was slightly burned. So not impressive. One in our party ordered spaghetti with meat sauce - man, was that a blood pressure spiker on a plate. Tasted as if someone had unloaded a salt shaker into it just after serving it up on the plate. Maybe they did, in haste -after all, our waiter Sam had forgotten that part of the order and had to bring it out late. (This is why I don't totally trust people who try to memorize orders for big groups - despite us ooh-ing and ahh-ing after he recited the order for our group of eight back to us before he went to put it in, he forgot the pasta.) Anyhoo, speaking of large groups - they tacked on 18% gratuity for ours, which I certainly don't begrudge for good service. Heck, I don't even begrudge it for only ok service. But Sambo just seemed to coast the entire time we were there - very inattentive and lackadaisical, prolly b/c of the guaranteed tip. Shame.

We come here every time we come to Orlando for vacation. The pizza is always AMAZING! We also use the coupon in those little Orlando coupon books for the FREE Tomato Basil Bread (yummy). Their pizza is nothing like traditional Chicago pizza. It's not very good. They recently increased their prices by 50% even though their manager argued that this wasn't true. When your pizza use to cost $12 and now cost $18 that is a difference of $6 which is half or 50% of the old price. I'll be surprised if this place is still in business next time I'm back in Florida.

We stopped in for a carry-out after a LONG day at Gatorland. My hubby is from Chicago, so we are very familliar with the Giordano's chain. Pizza was very good, as good as I remember from the Chicago locations. Check the local coupon booklets (we found one at Shell World) for some good coupons. And yes, as with ALL Chicago pizza, it does take a while, but it will be worth it!

Reviews were mixed but we'll go if it gets at least 3 1/2 stars. We looked up the menu online and the pictures made our mouth water. We love pizza and pasta! On the plus side, the portions were big and the prices ($110 for 7 people) were decent. The service was okay. But they could have told us we were ordering way too much food! The food was, well, just food. We love deep dish pizza, especially Zachary's Pizza in Oakland,CA. So we ordered the same pizza we normally order at Zachary's, sausage, mushroom, onion, and peppers. Zachary is a 5 star Chicago pizza in our books. Giordano's is a 1, the crust and filling were tasteless, almost unpalatable. We ordered bruchetta, antipasto, Caesar, combination platter of appetizer, linguini, and spaghetti with meatballs. These were not very good. Good thing we skipped lunch so our stomachs managed to inhale most of the food. Even my pasta loving daughter picked at her linguini. It was a very disappointing meal first meal on our vacation. Flippers on the north east side of Disneyworld is so much better.

Our spinach and Italian sausage pizza was good. The service was not. After ordering our drinks and pizza, we were ignored for the duration of the time it took to make our pizza. The menu warns deep dish takes longer. I was ok with that. I wasn't ok with waiting over 30 minutes for a refill. Seriously, it's June in Florida - it's important to keep hydrated!! It wasn't very busy while we were there, either, so I'm not sure what the deal was. The pizza was better than at the Chicago location we visited in September (can't recall which specific location). However, their sauce does require a little doctoring to have a flavor beyond dull tomato sauce. The cheese was definitely more flavorful at this Kissimmee location. This isn't discount pizza. Our medium deep dish pie was $23 - before tip. If you want cheap, don't come here (I'd recommend trying the revamped Domino's for cheap). But if you're after a hearty deep crusted pizza that's at least passable for Chicago style, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Long ago I lived in Chicago and, since I love pizza, I would get a Chicago-style one probably once a month or so. Giordano's was never my favorite, but then I never turned it down either... so fast forward to a recent vacation in Orlando and I was super pleased to have this place as an option. Once I saw it near our hotel, I was like "ok, we're going here one night"... If only it had lived up to memory... we ordered both a stuffed crust pizza and a thin crust pizza since one person in our party insists on thin crust pizza. Well, this person ultimately ended up liking their stuffed crust better, mostly because she found the thin to be very blah. I liked the stuffed crust, but it wasn't fantastic. Food was probably deserving of 3 stars, but the service was pretty poor. Our waiter didn't seem like he cared AT ALL about us. That was majorly disappointing. I also had the pleasure of over-hearing two kitchen staff members discussing if one of them had ever "had sex with Gina"... not what you want to be hearing from the guy making your pie!

Ordered the deep dish with onions and broccoli. The pizza took about 40 minutes to prepare but they tell you that before hand. The onions were not chopped small enough and they barely used any broccoli. They do use a lot of cheese though a real lot of cheese. The red sauce was bland overall the pizza was not good and a little on the expensive side about 23$ for a medium. The service was decent and they have two flat screen tvs not recommended.

Chicago chain place on the mega-tourist strip of 192 in Kissimmee. This is not my favorite chicago pizza, but considering this is Florida and not Illinois, i don't have any other options. Kept the glasses full and kept us happy. Try this place next time you are in the area. Great place next to Orlando Harley Davidson South. Stop in there for a shirt or two when done.

With all of the bland chain restaurants in this area, I'm surprised that this place was not crowded either of the two times I was in this location (8/15 and 8/21). On 8/15, we dined in. Weather was terrible that night, and the kitchen was somewhat backed up with delivery business, which both the hostess and waiter were kind enough to give us a heads up about. We had the Chicago style deep dish pizza - crust was light and flaky, yet strong enough to hand the cheese and sauce - excellent. They had some interesting toppings available, including a pesto chicken (somewhat bland) and a garlicky broccoli (excellent). The thin crust pizza is just ok; in my opinion, stick with the deep dish. Appetizers all very good, but the bruschetta was some of the best I've ever had, with fresh herbs, well buttered toast. Excellent service here, waiter was by very frequently to check on us, refill water, etc. My only disappointment was lack of locally brewed beer.

We got delivery from here twice during a one week vacation. We got the stuffed pizza (Chicago deep dish) both times. The delivery takes a while, up to 90 minutes, but that is to be expected since a deep dish takes almost an hour to bake even if you are sitting in the restaurant. I don't think people realize that when they complain about timing. Everything was delicious. I'm only not giving 5 stars because there was nothing exceptional. They did everything that we expected. Good food, solid, delivery. I would order from them again as soon as I'm in Kissimmee.

We had eaten at a Giordano's during a previous stay in the neighborhood, so when the kids wanted Italian for lunch we went. The lunch specials were the way to go, because this is not an inexpensive place to eat. Our server was outstanding. She took very good care of us, even anticipating some needs. That good. Two of us had Caesar salads, and they were well put together, fine portions with nice slices of cheese on top. (I didn't even ask if they had anchovies.) However, the dressing had sweet notes, probably something with HFCS in it. It wasn't Caesar dressing. Be warned. The parmesan garlic fries were interesting, but not really good. The kids loved the lasagna and the chicken parmesan sandwich. I got the Italian beef with peppers, and it was OK, until i dipped it. The dipping sauce they served it with was more of a brine. I don't understand, except that I do, within the context of the chain restaurant where nothing is cooked--only assembled. This sauce, like the salad dressing, came from a facility far away, and is intended to be inexpensive to mix and easy to store. It started as a three-star rating, but I have a "lose a star if you have a television in the dining area" policy. (They do have wifi, so there are several ways not to pay attention to your dining companions.)

We have had this place bookmarked for sometime and finally had a chance to try it out last week with family and friends. I was surprised to see a restaurant this busy on a weekday -Thursday- but it was worth the wait. On to the details: Even though the place was packed, it only took us 15 minutes to get a table for a party of 7, host was very helpful, patient and super friendly, which isn't usually the case in most restaurants in Orlando. Food: I would have to agree with other yelpers, if you are starving, I would recommend starting with an appetizer as it takes a while to get the pizza. We started off with a fried calamari plate, it was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Pizza came in 30 minutes later, did that take long? Probably, but for a place this big, I personally think it's ok to wait that long. We ordered two deep dish medium pies and one small extra thin one. If you are not a fan of delicious crunchy crust, loaded with ton of cheese and meats then the deep dish isn't for you, otherwise, it's worth every bite. The small extra thin pizza isn't small by any means, it can feed two people depending on how hungry you are. Service: reading through the reviews, it seems that most people weren't happy with the service, however, our table didn't find it to be the case. John was our waiter, and I would give him an A++ for his service. Drinks were ordered and delivered quickly, appetizers came in a timely manner, plates and table were cleaned as soon as we were done with the appetizers, new and fresh plates were brought afterwards to be used for the pizza. Pizza came in and John cut the pieces of the pies and put them in each individual's plate. Now that's what I call an epic service, thank you John. Would definitely come back to this location sometimes in the near future.

I want one. I really wish we had one of these at home. I was visiting from California and made my annual stop at Giordano's. Going through the reviews, I sense a similar pattern here. Most really like the pizza but hate the service. I can mostly agree with that. I love the pizza - I think it's delicious and to be honest no matter how crappy the service gets, I will continue coming back as long as the quality of the food stays consistent. The service is another story. I've had some good experiences and some very bad experiences. The bad seems to outweigh the good, but it doesn't mean that every experience is bad. I have had a couple very helpful and friendly servers. If they could actually hire some quality people to work here, this place would be hands-down amazing.

Another tourist trap. Unprofessional staff.we sat down and we had to ask for service after 20 minutes place was not even that busy. So finally the waiter came took the order wings arrived I would say 30 minutes after we placed the order cold. We asked to speak with the manager after waiting for an hour for the pizza to arrive. The pizza was OK very thick, I found myself picking out most of the things it had insid, it was good but I like holding my pizza in my hands and you can't do that with this pizza. We order one water and one soda, by the end we had 8 glasses of soda and 2 of water. The waiter kept bringing soda to the table at one point we had 3 full glasses of soda on the table when only one person was drinking soda. Ridiculous!

Excellent deep dish pizza! You won't be disappointed. Our service was excellent. We were seated right away and brought drinks. We had the sampler appetizer (fried- mozzarella mushrooms and ravioli) and house salad both were delicious. Our pizza (which does take 45 min to cook) was worth the wait. It's just like if you were in Chicago minus the accents. An added treat for us was a wonderful balloon artist who stopped by the restaurant to make items for guests. My friends son was in heaven! Kudos to them for allowing him in it really adds to the family atmosphere. Added tip: if you want a break from the Disney property this is worth the drive alone. There is also a mini golf place in the same area. Instant family fun.

Best pizza around. I have been here several times and they never disappoint. We always get the stuffed pizza and it is so freaking good. It does take quite a while to bake though so expect at least 35-45 minutes for it. I came up with this idea that worked perfectly. My wife and I came in and placed the order then went to the putt putt place while it cooked and then came back. The pizza was just getting ready and best of all the putt putt place gave us a free appetizers coupon that we used.

While the pizza is great the service is not. I should've taken names but I digress as I do not like to outright call people out. I just feel like the front of the house, in this case it was this rude fat short girl, was terrible at her job. She seemed to me as a person that picks and chooses who to be nice to. I was told she'd be right with me even though she just stood there to chat with others. I then went over to this nicer taller girl who rung me up but did not say even a single thank you or please wait while we get your order. So I took a hint and waited about 15 minutes until I asked the fat short girl about my order- to which see took 5 minutes to get. She came back looking grossly pisst as if I was an inconvenience to her. I just think that if you hate your job so much about it then please work else where. Most people would be happy to take your job. And they're service would probably outshine your disgusting service. Again the food was good but I won't come back or order from here again. Wanted to try something new that I can't get around home. Got a large Chicago style delivered to the resort I was staying at. They wouldn't deliver right to the room you have to meet them in front of the lobby. I asked on the phone for plates and utensils was told no problem. The delivery driver showed up and didn't have either. His excuse was it didn't state it on the receipt. The pizza was okay the crust really flakey lots of sauce easily feed 4 or 5 people. By the time it got here it was warm. For the punt I paid I hoped for more.

To add an addition to writing my review last night, I decided that $40 for 3 slices of pizza plus terrible sickness was a little to much and called and asked for a refund. Never before in my life have I had a restaurant come back to my resort and pick up the rest of my uneaten pizza!!!that was the only way I could get a refund which Sarah said would take 25-30 days to show up in my credit card. I will be on the phone with their corporate office tomorrow about this terrible experience!!!

I love this place! Well, I should say that I love the pizza. I can't speak in depth about the service. Their deep dish pizza is next to none in the area. I have a very healthy appetite, and even I couldn't handle more than 2 slices. There is so much cheese and topping! Make sure that you call ahead of time, even if you're dining in, since the deep dish pizzas take about 45 minutes to make, and that feels like forever when you're hungry.

Heyy! So my dad came over for a visit, and I suggested we try the traditional Chicago classic here in Orlando. We've both been to Giordano's in Chicago, and thought we'd give it a try. I found out they have a military discount, which was a bonus. I feel like these pizzas are a bit overpriced to begin with, but with the discount, it makes it not as bad. We got take out, so I can't say too much on service. The lady at the take out counter seemed a little oblivious, but thats not a big deal. The pizza was just as I expected; I'm not the biggest fan of this style being from Detroit originally, but my dad loved it! Overall, I'd say places like Flippers make a better product, but this is definitely a taste of home, if home is Chicago!

Yuck, yuck, yuck! Should have just gone to the chain steak restaurants in the same parking lots. Like Doyle H. said, the surrounding restaurants were packed and Giordano's was not. I am getting upset while writing this review so i will have to keep it short. Everything from the appetizers to the pizza seemed like it was frozen. On top of that, everything from the appetizers to the main entrees arrived to the table cold. Mozzarella sticks were even gross. The pizzas were nasty and looked and tasted like they were purchased at the Winn-Dixie behind the restaurant. They definitely profit from the convenience factor from the Disney tourists at the rentals and timeshares not knowing any better. Shame on them.

REVIEW OF SERVICE NOT FOOD I called this establishment based on a telephone number and menu in my resort welcome package. When I called, I was placed on hold by a female. I was on hold for close to five minutes, when a gentleman then picked up the phone. He was kind in alerting me that the dish I wanted was not offered at their restaurant. He placed me on hold to make sure. He said their menu constantly changes and it is difficult to keep up. I said no problem, and asked if they could make it, since they have all the items that go into this dish. I was placed on hold again. He then told me he was putting the manager on the phone. I explained to the manager what I wanted, and read the title of the dish off of the menu sitting in front of me. He said let me know what it is you want because I am looking at the menu right here. I said "the oven-baked rigatoni", and he said "we don't oven-bake our rigatoni. You are wither talking about the chicken carbonara or the oven-baked lasagna with ricotta." I said no, but almost. Since you have the ingredients can you make it for me? He said no, we don't just make special dishes for customers. He also asked if I knew which place I was calling. I told him it's on your menu, that's where I got the phone number. I read it, again. He said where does it say that? He read his list of dishes, and said "is that what it says?" I said no. He chuckled and said well then what does it say because the menu is sitting right here. I said well it says what I am reading to you, but never mind, goodbye. To argue with a customer and laugh condescendingly is terrible customer service. Obviously I had an old menu and they changed it, but instead of telling me that, and perhaps saying that he was sorry he couldn't accommodate me, and maybe we could try another dish, he was incredibly rude. Way to lose a customer. ***I wil be posting photos of the menu I received.

I feel like I'm being generous with three stars...only because the pizza was delicious. The crust was great. Everything else about this pizza joint was a bust. Was told after a long phone hold that our order would arrive in 45 minutes to 1 hour. An hour and a half later I called in and was put on hold for 10 minutes! I hung up, called back and was about to be put on hold again when I refused and was told the driver was just leaving. We got a coupon for a free garlic cheesy bread, if you have the same, just throw it away. It was very small and cold. The Chicago chop salad was terrible. Very bland. Very basic salad considering the $10 price tag. Smores pizza looks amazing but a bite into the pizza will have you disappointed. The only good thing about them is the actual taste if the pizza. We got the deep dish with artichokes, pesto chicken and bacon. Was pricey at $26+ but the crust was delicious. It was flakey like a pie crust. Very, very good. All in all, if you have time to wait and only want to eat pizza, you could order here. Otherwise, I would order Pizza Hut. I had to listen to a wife and two kids cry about how hungry they were for about 2 hours. Don't be me. It was a tense two hours in our hotel room.

The pizza is AMAZING! We had the famous deep dish stuffed pizza (takes 45mins to cook) and it exceeded my expectations. So you may be asking why I only gave it 3 stars? The service. The service was by far some of the worst service I have ever experienced. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a host who appeared as if she had no clue what was going on. Then we were sat at a small table for two, but it was noticeably caddy-cornered in a very awkward position, so we straightened it up. Our server, Melvin, acted as if we were a burden. He never gave any suggestions or recommendations of what to order. When we ordered the 45min pizza he said, "You know that's gonna take 45mins, right?" ...ummm yeah. I can read the menu. At that point he could have offered an appetizer or salad, of which we probably would have taken. During the 45 minute wait, he came by table ONCE to give me a refill. And then at the end, as he was casually walking past, he ask "Do you need anything else?" At the conclusion, he never thanked us for coming and didn't even present the check in any way, just the good old fashioned receipt in the table. We got a free starter for signing up via email, so we got fried calamari extremely average, definitely not fresh. Then we ordered a pie for 2 could of been for 4. Very expensive for what you really get, it was overwhelming with red sauce felt like it became lasagna. Couldn't taste other topping which we paid extra for. Went last night. Food was good (wound up getting carry out - more on that later), but service was awful. Just me and the wife on an admitted busy night, but it is tourist season, right? And the US was playing Ghana in the World Cup so people are out celebrating. Put our names in, and when it was time to get seated, the server put us at a booth that was meant for 140 lb Europeans, not Americans. The wife and I are not fat - we are normal size Americans, but there is no way that anyone over 140 lbs was getting into that booth. We returned to the hostess station to see two booths still empty (that we could fit into) that had been empty for 20 minutes. We were told they weren't filling those since they didn't have enough servers to handle those tables? What???? We asked if we could just sit at the bar (because there were empty seats there) and were told that we couldn't because they had just sat a party in the bar area and they didn't know if that would overload the bartender. So, we put in a carry out order. I'm sitting in the bar waiting for the pizza (yes, in the same seat I was told they couldn't sit me in) for about 15 minutes, when two guys in restaurant polos come in. I asked them why the restaurant would keep empty tables when there were people willing to sit down and eat. One of the guys - without averting his eyes from the US/Ghana soccer game - says "I don't know man, you have to talk to someone else. That's not our responsibility, we're just delivery guys." So they both SAT DOWN in the bar to watch the game. Amazing! The restaurant can't get enough help to sit people that want to eat and they have employees sitting in the bar watching soccer. Took the food home and it was good, but the service was the worst I've ever had.

The pizza was average at best. For Chicago style deep fish, I was unimpressed. They didn't bother to cut the pizza through all the way and being as we were staying at a hotel, it was really hard to eat after it fell apart. They also do not deliver to hotel rooms. This is the first time I've ever encountered this. They make you meet them in the lobby which isn't a big deal but at that point you might as well save some time and just go pick it up instead of waiting an hour for delivery. The whole experience was very anti climactic considering how much we paid for a medium pizza. Nearly $30 later for a medium one topping is highway robbery.

Breaks my heart to say this, but not sure if we will return especially to this location. This review isn't about the pizza but the service we experienced. We went today for lunch and my boyfriend got a refill of his pop, for it to only not be his pop. The waiter messed his pop up with the neighbors. The refill came back with a lemon in it and a straw with no paper. When they bring you pop and refills the straws are new with paper/wrapper on the tips. His pop was regular and the neighbors was diet with lemon, he noticed immediately. Waiter gets a new one, but did not apologize. After a while neighbor says to waiter, I think we got our lines crossed I had diet, not regular. So he never apologized and brings bill with pop on it. BF states it should be removed (which he shouldn't have to pay for pop after drinking from someone else's cup). Then to add insult, bf walks up after because waiter and we think manager is looking in our direction, so bf walks up there. He starts to tell what happened and she walks away and didn't listen. Way to care about customers! How would they feel if they drank from someone else's cup? So then the waiter lies to his face and stated something about another cup, ok then why was there a lemon in it (which the neighbor had in his cup) and no wrapper on the tip?? I know this is a terrible review, but just wanted to recount events. I think in today's world with all the germs, people need to be more careful and own their mistakes, all he had to do was to acknowledge his mistake.

Meh! I guess I went in with very high expectations. I thought the dough was a bit hard for my taste. The place was packed! The service was friendly, but I think it's just another tourist trap here in Orlando. Medium 1 topping and some fried ravioli, 30$ a little pricey.

Best Chicago pizza hands down!! Went to Chicago 2 years ago and when I moved to Orlando, I was totally shocked to see one here. The pizza is worth the wait. It normally take them about 30 to 45 mins to make your pizza but you will not regret it.

Incredibly disappointing. We ordered a Chicago classic thin crust pizza...it literally tasted just like a frozen pizza. We were told no substitutions could be made on the pizza...most likely because the pizza is pulled right out of the freezer, popped into and oven and then served. I don't really know how authentic their deep dish pizza is but it sure is tasty. Chunky tomato sauce, TONS of cheese, and toppings. Very filling. Its hard to eat more than 2 slices in one sitting. The wings are a disgrace though. Tiny, overcooked, undersauced, and overpriced. No veggies or blue cheese were even included! Stay as far away from them as possible.

Stumbled upon this place using my Foodspotting App, and this was recommended for best pizza. Service is slow, but they have signs posted that the pizza takes 30 minutes which makes sense. We ate here during our vacation, we ordered house salad and the Chicago classic stuffed pizza with Pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers & onions. The salad was good, but the pizza was absolutely fantastic! We really enjoyed it. The crust was flaky, the sauce was flavorful and it was just cheesy and delicious! The medium was so big that we still took plenty home for leftovers.

While surrounding restaurants were packed, Giordano's was not... That had me wondering almost immediately. I bravely ordered the chicken carbonara rigatoni. The results of that order was something not exactly homemade. The chicken was a pre-cooked pre-cut to exact size, fajita type chicken. The veggies in the dish were lacking. This dish is historically quite eggy and tasty. None of that here. It was pretty bland. The Alfredo sauce seemed canned, and if it was not, it was made without including any of the tastier elements of making such a sauce. I would give Giordano's another shot while avoiding the carbonara.

I stumbled across this restaurant in an Orlando magazine. Not high expectations. Much to my surprise, it was awesome! I had the stuffed crust super veggie pizza and I have to say it was The Best pizza I've ever had. It takes about 40 minutes because each is made fresh to order, but well worth the wait. The crust is almost like pastry crust. Light crispy buttery/sweet. The veggies inside were perfectly cooked. You could taste every single flavor. The cheese was no less impressive. A small pizza is more than enough for 2 people. It could be shared by three. This is a pizza for all others to be judged by. Aside from the food, the service was pretty good and the atmosphere was easy casual. No need to dress up, leave a theme park and go right to dinner!

Deep dish pizza isn't my thing, but all things considered, this wasn't the worst pizza in the world. We had called ahead, so it was hot, gooey and fresh on our table shortly after our arrival. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the crust. Good consistency and a little flavorful hit of oregano. The tomato sauce wasn't terrible either - it didn't seem over-salted, just straight up savory tomato and herbs. Where the pizza fell flat was the cheese. The cheese was flavorless, bland, and probably not very high-quality. And there was too much of it. If one of your complaints is that there's *too much* cheese on a pizza, then let's face it, the cheese probably sucks. Still, that was my only real problem here - otherwise, a solid pie, and better than expected.

Deep dish pizza was good and very filling. A large pizza fed 4 adults and 2 kids. The Greek salad and tiramusu we ordered for dessert were also good. Everyone was pleased with the food. We went during mid afternoon on a week day so there was no wait to be seated but the pizza still took a while to arrive. I guess that's normal for deep dish. Service was a bit slow and they didn't check with us as often as they should have. However, it wasn't horrible. I would definetely go back.

One big blech! We ordered a large thin crust pizza with half sausage and half tomatoes / olives. An odd thing is that they didn't have banana peppers. The majority of reviews seem to note the deep dish but we prefer thin crust. The sausage consisted of tiny crumbles, barely anything of substance or quantity. Other toppings were just ok, but cheese was plentiful. There was barely any pizza sauce. The crust was clearly the worst I've ever had. You know the old cardboard cliché, but I really had to check to see if I wasn't eating the box by mistake. Totally dried out and dense. The box says "we deliver nationwide"- we waited and hour and 45 minutes for this? It must have been flown in from Oregon. In summary- don't bother.

My family arrived in Kissimmee Florida for winter break and not knowing the restaurant scene we took the recommendation of our resort and tried Giordanos. Two of my family members must eat gluten free and Giordanos offers some gf choices. We were seated right away then told the wait for food would be an hour. We were tired and decided to wait. The restaurant was about three quarters full of hollow eyed patrons in the same predicament with two stressed out servers scurrying about apologizing and bringing oily cheese bread only half of us could eat. My daughter was struck with a migraine and went to rest in the car. We asked to have our meal boxed not plated and waited 45 minutes for those boxes. Returning to our lodgings we discovered a disgusting selection of over cooked pasta and pizza and a chop salad that looked like it was made in a garbage disposal with only four of the nine advertised ingredients. A 68 dollar debacle. Don't try to call the manager the phone is perpetually busy. The server was a sweetheart but this restaurant kitchen is not functioning well. When the conversation turned to what would Gordon Ramsey do we should have left. Met some nice folks and fist bumped our fellow sufferers on our way out in a final act of solidarity. Disappointing. The side salad came out with the wrong dressing, but the real trouble was the heap of fennel on top. Now, there's nothing wrong with fennel in a salad or with a fennel salad, but it's unconventional enough that you'd expect it to be advertised that way in a place that represents itself as a pizza restaurant. The server volunteered that nearly everyone just picks it off. ...so someone in the kitchen is so disconnected from their clientele that they're using a relatively expensive ingredient that almost everyone doesn't want and almost none of the rest would miss. In addition to the bad idea, the execution was terrible as well. My sandwich came on the same plate as my salad, so the bottom of the sandwich was swimming in the dressing (which you may recall wasn't even the one I wanted in the first place). All-in-all, it was a disappointment when we were just looking for the typical pizza fare in a place that appeared to represent itself as a pizza place.

Saw the menu sitting on the table in our hotel room an thought we would give it a shot. Was expecting a mom an pop pizzeria but was pleasantly surprised with a full service pizza Italian restaurant with full bar. Excellent calamari--extra fresh and very tender. Probably the best I've ever had. Fried ravioli was to die for. (6 come in an order). My favorite was the garlic lemon wings. Did not tasty like lemon at all, as I'm not a lemon fan but a huge garlic fan. Every time I see garlic wings an order them I am very disappointed. Today was not the case-- wings come in a very garlicky sauce an are excellent!! This is my first giordano's experience and would def return!

Pizza here is exactly like the thick stuffed pies I get when I am in Chicago. This is not the place to order thin New York style. The flaver in the sauce is great. If you want Chicago style this is the best!

Giordano's Made Us an Offer We Should Have Refused. On the night we arrived for a week-long Kissimmee/Orlando family reunion, our adult daughters chose Giordano's for take-out because (a) we were starving, (b) it was close to our resort, (c) their menu was extensive, and (d) we were given Giordano's coupons when we checked in to our condos. Hands down, we should have refused the offer. On the plus side, Giordano's is centrally located to Kissimmee resorts, parking is easy and plentiful, the staff is friendly and competent, our order (which was huge) was ready on time as promised, their chicken wings (we tried two varieties) are quite good, the salad was fresh and flavorful, and they are generous with their sauces. On the negative side, the food (except for the chicken wings and salad) is virtually inedible and it's really expensive, even with the coupon offers. We ordered four different pizzas and in all four cases, we couldn't tell the pizza itself from the box in which it came. The crust was corrugated cardboard, the toppings were non-existent and cheese, cheese, cheese was everywhere, as though Mount Vesuvius had overflowed with cheap mozzarella and then calcified there. The calamari were like chewing on the earlobes of little, old European women (I can say this because I am a little, old European woman), dipped in soggy breadcrumbs, fried to limpness, and seasoned not at all. Except for the chicken wings and salad, we had a couple of bites and disposed of most of the rest of it. I don't do this idly - I was raised never, ever to throw out food, no matter what, on pain of death. If you like paying a lot of money for mostly substandard food, Giordano's is your kind of place. Hey, I should have known better - we accidentally came here six years ago and had the same experience - but I didn't recognize the restaurant until we drove up to retrieve our order. What's that other line from "The Godfather" ... "Leave the gun. Take the cannoli"? In this case, it would be just "leave the Giordano's."

Every time we are in Florida, we come here twice during our stay! And this is one of the few things I look forward to when we are in Florida. I always get a spinach and a special. Spinach was something my sister always ordered, and so it satisfies the veg-head in me. The special... has a little bit of everything plus Italian sausage! Man that stuff is awesome!!! I cannot comment on the thin crust. You don't go to Giordanno's for the thin crust. It's like going to Peter Lugers and just getting a salad. And I am sorry, If I was in Chicago, this would not get five stars. Probably four, surely not five. REMEMBER YOU ARE IN ORLANDO THOUGH... Get it to go, get it delivered, or eat it there. If you eat it there and even think you are going to order a stuffed pizza, CALL AHEAD. Unless you are cool with a 40-50 minute wait... Sorry... New Yorkers and everyone else who thinks their stuff is the best. Chicago style pizza is the best, and Giordanno's is one of the best at it. Besides, you want the best pizza ever? Go to Naples and get their brick fired stuff... mama mia! No one stateside can touch that stuff!

This is definitely one of those times when I'm glad that I just stuck with instinct... why you ask? Well because if I had stuck with the rating then I probably would have skipped this place all together, but I really wanted to try this Chicago based pizza chain. I'm actually quite jealous they only have a presence from Chicago to the very East Coast... you see we just don't have that many places in Southern California that do a Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza and especially do it well (like Tony's Little Italy in Placentia,) but I checked this place out with two other very hungry guys and we are so glad that we did because we left sated and very happy. I was to do some major catching up with one of them with whom I went to High School with in Long Beach California, but he now resides in the Jacksonville area and was kind enough to make the drive up to meet up with me and my Disneyworld companion. I purposely did not eat all day simply because I wanted to save room for this hopefully (and it was) delectable pie. These stuffed pizzas take about 35-40 minutes to make it to your table, but that's ok since I had a lot of catching up to do anyway. Because we were three hungry masculine guys without a concern for calories, fat content, or carbs we went all out and ordered a Medium Meat & More Meat Pie: yelp.com/biz_photos/gior… which we all chewed slowly with every cheesy, tomaoey, meaty bite! Our eyes rolled back in sheer ecstasy as we all three enjoyed our pie. The sauce was quite delicious and had a nice "bite" to it. All in all this pizza possessed all elements in flavor, texture, and bite that we were craving displaying multitudes of flavor and texture. The cheese was both tasty and stringy, the sauce was flavorful and possessed the perfect amount without overdoing things, and the ingredients were all of great quality and proved quite savory! Despite our hunger and size... both the other guys were over 6 feet tall; we simply could not conquer this delicious beast! I haven't been to Chicago in ages so I really can't comment to the authenticity of this pizza, but I do know that we were all very happy with what we received... we even had Giordano's delivered to our Disney Hotel room! Service was quite fantastic and expedient from the whole staff. I simply have no complaints. Nothing too exciting about the decor, but it is busy enough to give one something to look at while he, or she waits for the food. Their menu is fairly large and they feature both Chicago Stuffed Pizza as well as Thin-Crust Pizzas. You can eat in, take with you, or have a pie delivered to wherever you're at within their delivery radius of course! They give you the ability to order online or on the phone as well. There is plenty of parking in their lot...we had 0 problem finding a spot. They have multiple Giordano's locations in the Orlando/Lake Buena Vista area so I highly recommend having a pie sent to your room if you're getting tired of theme park food and want something different. Their prices are very fair for the amount of food they give you.

Terrible! I am from Chicago and know what real Giordano's is supposed to taste like. 1) Stuffed pizza was warm, thin, dry, and looked like it had been sitting for an hour. 2) The waitress was crap. Chicago style pizza was a new experience for me. We were in NY this past December and had our first slice of NY style pizza. I have to say NY smoked the Chicago style, but this restaurant did a great job. The pizza, service, and whole experience was awesome.

The night we checked into our hotel in Florida, I was skimming the book of nearby places to eat and Giordano's had a picture of this magnificent looking deep dish pizza. Since they were near closing and we were pooped from the 10 hours of travel and 3 hour time difference, we trekked over to Giordano's the next night for dinner. We walked a mile in the rain and had already previously looked at their online menu, so we knew exactly what we were getting when we arrived. They killed it having pictures listed on their website! First we got the Bruschetta. The menu said nothing about having capers so I was disappointed with that. Chopped salad for me and a cheese deep dish with green olives for my boyfriend (wish they offered artichoke hearts as a topping!). The chopped salad was kind of sad and came with dressings in little plastic cups with lids, like there was no effort at all. It didn't taste good, it just tasted plain. I had a slice of the pizza and it was good, soooo much cheese, but that was to be expected. We were leaving just as they were closing, but once we made it to the parking lot we saw that it was pouring rain so we asked if they could call a cab for us. Thankfully the guy was really nice and called for us.

I am from NJ, and knowing that Florida is NOT known for there great pizza, this place is top notch. I am a huge fan of thin crust pizza, (it's a Jersey/New York thing) and I could never find a pizza place that was worthy enough for me to go back to again and again. The stuffed pizza, is like dip dish pizza. It it truly fantastic! We get a medium or large for about four people and it is plenty! Trust me when I say you will be stuffed fairly quickly when you eat this pizza! A little bit of advice order about 45 minutes early if you want to have pizza almost immediately once you arrive at the restaurant. If not, it does take about and hour to get out to the customers, which is understandable because of the amount of dough that has to cook. The prices are fair, and the atmosphere is pretty nice. The one thing I hate about this place is the location of the mall it is in, when facing out toward the road/parking lot, there are giant lights in your face (at dinner time/ at dark). They do have blinds that they can drop to avoid this problem just be aware! The atmosphere is very casual, and overall is a great place to get some dinner with friends.

OK, not great. I didn't care for the stuffed pizza; took forever to make even though they weren't busy. They suggested a medium for my hsuband and I; it must have weighted 6 pounds! No way could 2 people eat all that. Way too much cheese, crust tasted like saltine crackers. Son got a thin crust which was OK, about domino's level but not that good.

I love good deep dish pizza. It's great stuff and hard to come by outside of chicago let alone the rest of the nation. Luckily enough Giordano's delivers quite similarly to what I recall from a much too long ago visit to the windy city. Found the place via restaurant.com and double-checked via yelp. Really makes it out to be a good deal. The food and service were quite good. There's a guy walking around tables making animal balloons for kids. Do note that they do not take reservations for groups under 20 (I could be off, my group was only 10). But no problem, barely waited as they set up a table for us. Nothing terribly special about decor and whatnot. The pizzas did take the approx 35 mins or so to bake. In the meantime we ordered the "sampler appetizers" which we probably shouldn't have - it wasn't bad by any means, just a lot of food. But good so nobody got cranky while waiting. The pizzas were good, they average roughly $25 for the large sizes and the crusts were nice and buttery. We had a bunch of leftovers at the end and the very courteous staff even boxed them up for us and gave me some Parmesan cheese to go =) Still good the next day as leftovers too (just don't nuke them) All in all, this is a great place near Disney to eat at.

We waited a very long time for a table, when there were 4 empty tables visible from the waiting area. We got 2 of the stuffed pizzas, and while the flavor was fine, the pizza was lukewarm at best. And this after waiting 40 minutes for it. Then, while trying to pay, they had an issue with the register. Somehow it didn't print the check for us to sign. Instead of proactively coming to us to let us know what was going on. They just kept my debit card for 20 minutes while tinkering with the machine. We finally were able to get to them and ask what the issue was and they just had me sign a blank piece of paper. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
