Giving this one 5 stars for our server, Tony. He is phenomenal and knows his stuff. I had the mixed grill - triggerfish, salmon, shrimp scampi and a salad. Absolutely delicious. My sister had a Caesar salad with the lobster mac n cheese. Mom had the crab, Dad had an 8oz filet mignon (which came on a surprisingly tiny plate). All were great. We also had two orders of escargot to start. Extremely buttery, but that's how we like our snails! Most of all, the servers are phenomenal. There's a reason this is one of the top 10 steakhouses in the US. If you're okay with spending a lot of money, go!

Went to Charley's for the first time with my boyfriend recently. It was nice! I was surprised to see that the dress code is casual when it seems like a more upscale place, but I suppose that's part of being in a tourist area of town! Shortly after arrival, the power went out for a little bit, which was annoying, but nothing they could have done (Florida weather, ya know?). Also, their menus are obnoxiously sized. Seriously, I don't know what's going on with the menus, but they're ridiculously oversized. Service was fantastic. I had never been before, so their explanations of each cut was nice but I could see how it would be annoying for someone who goes regularly. We got regular refills on our waters and the server was very attentive and friendly. Both my boyfriend and I ordered filets medium rare. His was perfectly cooked, mine was overdone. It was still good, but it's not like I could send it back and be like "hey, could you cook it some more?" Our steaks were served with salads; I got the house salad and he got the Ceasar salad (you just have to ask even though it's not on the menu). We got the garlic mashed potatoes and the bacon cheddar mashed potatoes (not knowing each would be enough for us to split just one side). The garlic mash was WAY tastier than the bacon cheddar mash. I also got a side of broccoli, which could have fed an entire family of 4. We also got a delicious bottle of wine to split. By the time we were done with dinner, we were too full for dessert, but they did have some tasty sounding options. For everything, our meal came out to about $250 for the two of us, so be prepared for that. The place did get loud, which was expected. There were a lot of kids there too. So if you're looking for something more romantic, I think there are better steak house options in town. Over all good. Wish my steak hadn't been overdone but otherwise it was a good experience.

Have been coming to charleys for a few years. During that time we've tried every other steak house in the area and nothing comes close in terms of quality of steak and cooking process. The open BBQ pit really adds that lovely flavoursome crust while meat remains tender and juicy inside. Personally I always go for a Kansas or strip steak or equivalent on the bone. Unfortunately over the years nothing else has changed! The place is a bit drab and needs a makeover. Service is hit and miss and all depends on the server and how many tables he/she is covering. On this visit our server was excellent. Wine list is pretty good but pricey. I am not convinced about the storage as the reds are often served too cold. A good sommelier would be a bonus and I am sure wine sales and quality would improve. Starters and sides are ok but nothing special. Why they can't do simple fries rather than some sort of cheese coated wedges I don't know. Asparagus was over cooked and mash a bit sloppy. You get a decent salad and warm bread anyway so you really don't need too much extra! Word of warning. Everything is fried in peanut oil so if you have an allergy avoid. They don't tell you this and should. So, if you are after good steak, this is the place. If you are looking for a more rounded foodie experience then head to somewhere like Chatham Place or Bull and Bear.

Great. Everything was great. When you walk in there is the big open grill where you can see the chef putting his skills to work. This place is a real stesl house white linens included. This was not known to me and boyfriend as we were just looking for food close to our hotel after a long day getting to orlando so we looked a little too casual but the stafd didnt blink an eye. Our waiter was helpful and hearing it was our first time he brought out the full display of cuts to go over before we ordered. And boy did we order. The cheese bread to start with the house salad. My boyfriend calls sald rabbit food but even he finished it. (Probably the thicl cut bacon sprinkled over it). For the appetizer we had fried gator bites and while you would think that would have gamey taste but its more like chicken id eat it again For the main course i had the lamb and he had 20 oz porter house. For the sides we had shrimp and scallops scampi mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon on top and potatoes au gratin. Everything i put in my mouth was great. Go to this place if you are ever in Florida

While in Orlando to do a play my cousin picked me up to take me out to dinner and what a place to go to. I have been to the International drive location and found it to be good. He told me this location is much better and he was right. We started out with the ceder plank crab cakes with mango salsa they were amazing its not like any other crab cake I have ever had first all its roasted on a ceder plank which picks up a wonderful smoked flavor secondly the texture is very different it wasn't crunchy it was closer to mashed potatoes it was a bit strange at first but trust me I loved the flavor. We ordered the double cut pork chops and a porterhouse steak medium well we shared both dinners. after almost finishing the steak which was great the waiter Tony (who did a great job), the manager, and his assistant manager came to our table all to apologize the reason why was the steak that was sent out was done medium and they brought out a second steak to us and asked if we would like it boxed up to take home or if we wanted to eat that one too. We were amazed at this because we were completely happy finishing the first one. Great customer service we never knew it was not done as we ordered it yet they still wanted to make things perfect. I will always return to this location for the excellent food and wonderful service by the entire staff.

We had the reservation and got seated immediately. Both of us are girls so we ordered the smallest filet mignon. OMG! So good! It was cooked to perfect medium rare and the texture was just amazing, tender and juicy. The wood burner helped too! However, the waiter talked us into the daily special, which was some not-so-fresh seafood mash potato... And the garlic toast! Best I have ever tasted! So buttery and garlic! CANT HAVE ENOUGH, it was so good!

What a disappointing evening! Charley's on OBT used to be one of our favorites, but we had never been to Charley's at Parkway, Kissimmee. We decided to celebrate our 52nd anniversary there. Since we had such good memories of the old Charley's, we were expecting a wonderful experience. I made mention that it was our anniversary when I made reservations. I also told the hostess and our server, expecting they would ensure we had an excellent dining experience. We had a nice, quiet table (romantic) which I appreciated. Our server was attentive, but the overpriced food was disappointing and that is putting it mildly. The Lobster bisque was served with pieces of swordfish rather than lobster. It was good, but I did order LOBSTER bisque, not swordfish bisque. The salad was wilted. I didn't eat mine. We ordered steak and fully loaded baked potatoes. My steak was cooked to perfection, but served cold, as were the potatoes. My "loaded" potato consisted of a very cold potato with sour cream and cheese. We asked about bacon bits and chives, which the server promptly brought to the table, but did nothing about the "cold" potato (also lacking butter). In that we paid an extra $10 for the potato, you would think we would have an enormous, fully loaded "hot" potato. The steak alone was $48. With these kind of prices, I did expect an acknowledgement of our special occasion. No such acknowledgement. It was a very disappointing evening at a very high price. We will not be back. A further note: Our friends also celebrated their anniversary (the same week) and went to Charley's on International Drive. I do not know the details of their evening, but as we were sharing our experience with them, they said their experience was not any better and they will not be returning to Charley's either. With so many wonderful steak houses in Orlando, at their prices, Charley's definitely needs to up their game.

Steaks were amazing. Best in a while!! Desserts were only Ok. Salads were mediocre too. But potatoes and steaks and service were outstanding.

Loved it. Mostly because the steak (I had the rib eye) was unlike any I've had anywhere. Smoky flavor, super juicy. Healthy port on the martini. Blue cheese stuffed olives. Wonderful service. Would return in a hot minute!

Food was excellent. Steak was excellent I shared my porterhouse that's how big it was and we were both stuffed. Service was ok there was a large party next to us so I think it effected that services. It's pricy here but worth it for the steak

Great place. The menu is huge, not the choices the size. :-) The steaks were awesome. The seafood was great too. The desserts were great. This is real close to Disney. The food was far better and the price was close to the same as eating on the Disney Campus.

Charley's was a mixed experience for us. POSITIVES: The lobster bisque was outstanding! We both ordered the 8oz. filet special and they were cooked nicely. The garlic mashed potatoes were good. NEGATIVES: Neither of us were too impressed with the service. Our waitor was friendly and very well informed but it seemed as if he was working several tables (not his fault) and service was scattered because of it. Not necessarily up to par considering the bill. Also the desert that I wanted was already "sold out" and we arrived for dinner at an early hour. Very disappointing because I had a craving for carrot cake. I'd probably go back if changes were made to the pricing but to be honest I've had a better experiences at an Outback Steakhouse. Food is good but definitely not worth the price!

While waiting for our table I was mesmerized by the LARGE grill. Couldn't wait. I ordered the porterhouse - 32oz. of awesomeness. I ordered my steak medium well when I like it median rare. My fault. My wife had the ribeye and it was delicious. I also ordered the loaded baked potato. That didn't come with the meal and we asked. Waiter said, "I'm sorry, I'll get it right away." Minutes later never came. Waiter comes by again. No baked potato. Then manager comes by and apologies and says he will take care of it right away they are fixing it. Halfway through 32oz. Steak and no baked potato. Really?!?! Finally, I'm finished with my steak and family is done with their meals - still no steak. Manager comes by again and apologizes. Still no baked potato. He says he's sorry and offered to take it off the bill. $200 meal and he's removing a $9.00 item. Gee thanks. We are talking desserts now. He says he will take care of desserts. We order. Deserts come. Delicious. Bill comes and manager didn't take care of desserts. Manager comes by and shakes my hand. Really?!?! Apologizes again and says, "All good. Look forward to seeing you again." All in all it was a great place. Disappointed with the service and attention to detail. I'm sure if they knew I was a celebrity they'd have made sure our visit was perfect. Regardless, it should be perfect every time.

Amazing food experience. First thing's first: Chad, our waiter, did an EXCELLENT JOB in all facets of services. Well done and much appreciated. So ended up a Charley's on a whim, the original restaurant of choice was not to our liking. We arrived at Charley's with no reservation but were still seated immediately. The decor was classic and elegant, I felt under-dressed. Our waiter brought out our menus and explained the dining process. We ordered an appetizer but for some reason it has escaped my mind! it was splendid though, I will update once I can access the menu I had the jumbo shrimp with Lobster mac and cheese and my wife had the ribeye with mashed potatoes. We just shared everything. The salad was nice and light, but delicious. The table bread was phenomenal: warm, soft, and buttery. The food did not take too long to come out and we dug in. The shrimp were huge with plenty of flavor. With the cocktail sauce it hit all the right notes. The steak was amazing too, maybe a bit salty but I did not mind at all. They cooked it perfectly (medium). The mashed potatoes were great, the lobster mac and cheese was tasty. It was a lot of food as well. For dessert I had the chocolate raspberry little bunker. The chocolate was very rich and the raspberry took it to a new stratosphere. I was thoroughly impressed with the food and service. This is a must-dine venue if you visit or live in Orlando.

We had a great dinner at Charley's the other weekend. We ordered calamari for an appetizer, yum!! I think their caesar salad is probably the best I have ever had. We ordered scallops, shrimp and a filet. Everything was top notch.

The best beef I've ever eaten at a restaurant. My wife and I split a porterhouse, gator bites, escargot, and shrimp scallop scampi. Absolutely terrific! We will be back $120 and worth every penny! Will definitely be visiting again!

Charley's looks like a strip mall dove from the outside. On the inside you see super fancy. The food however is mediocre at best. The steak (tbone) was a 20 oz, but looked like a 8 oz strip steak. I ordered Oscar style, this turned out to be crab meat that looked and tasted two weeks old. Lastly I asked for ketchup, weird I know but I like it and this is my taste buds we are pleasing, and to this minute it still has not arrived. spare your dollars as the steak averages 50 a plate.

Two stars is generous. Asked the hotel where I could get a great burger and this is the spot we were sent to. Is a classic steakhouse look and feel. Hostess was pleasant, answered a lot of questions, and we decided to stay. Dining room assistant was great, made my daughter laugh. Waiter, well let's say he left a lot to be desired. So there is no burger on the "adult" menu, but they let my wife and I order them. Ordered lobster mac and cheese sans lobster for our 3-year old. Had the wedge and house salads. Wife loved the house. Wedge was weak. No blue cheese crumble. Bacon bits. Burgers were very low quality meat. Literally wish we went to Wendy's. Charged $15 for lobster mac with no lobster for a 3-year old. Actually asked them to correct it. They reduced to $10 for a kid's meal. Table next to us had a much more attentive server, but they weren't impressed with much considering what we heard. 1 star doesn't feel right, but neither does 2. We won't be back. Go... Anywhere else if you just want a burger.

Oh my gosh! This was Devine. We started with Cakebread wine and my husband had a gin and tonic. Drinks perfect. Service outstanding. We shared the Center cut fillet mignon. It was pricy but well worth it. Also had a side of the potatoes au gratin... They we also perfect! It is a bit pricy but felt it was worth it. As it got later 8:30 or so the restaurant filled up with families. Lost the quiet atmosphere. I would come back.

Visited charley and having been to many steak house in NY they don't even come close to what I was expecting. What can I say but that our server was very attentive especially with our son we order his food first so we were able to enjoy what we thought was going to be a great dinner. My wife and I decided to have the 50oz porterhouse and lobster starting off with calamari appetizer the not even worth eating and the portion was meant for a child to eat. Then the house salad OMG looked like the crumbled some lettuce together and threw it on a plate we were just so hungry from our long day from flying we ate it. Then the surf and turf was just ok they act like this is a prestige place but no were near it they really need to look into there cooking I wouldn't recommend for the money we spent I would a had a great Lugers dinner in NY.

My wife and I visited Charley's again on Sunday. Not crowded and we felt welcomed. The bread was very good. The side salad good (this was new from our previous visit). The Caesar salad good. The lobster bisque very good (although we both prefer a variety that actually has lobster pieces). And the highlight of the evening was the new to the menus bone in filet mignon which was better than fantastic! One of the best bone in filets I've ever had!!! Please Charley's, keep this offering on the menu. This along with your tomahawk bison is something you should be able to market the heck out of! Lastly, our server was Daryl and he couldn't have been better. Charley's does a real good in this department. My sole complaint with this location is the pacing. It's always a bit slower than I'd prefer, although I take some blame for dawdling on my order, but I still think it should be a touch faster. Lastly we didn't receive a visit from the manager which always has occurred in the past. It's no big deal but especially as regulars,it's a nice touch. Based on this meal I believe Charley's is inching closer and closer to the high end, slightly more expensive chains in Orlando. Excellent job!

They have NO gluten policy at all. The standard answer was "we don't know what is in the seasoning, but we can add no spices and cook on tin foil to make it gluten free". Really? We are going to pay $100 for each meal and none of your signature dishes and sides are included ?? My daughter is going to wonder whether she gets violently ill or not on you not knowing what is In your food?? Give me a break. What a second rate, disappointing restaurant. Will never eat there again !

Started with yummy infused drinks at the bar A great place for steak. The wood smoke entices you the minute you walk in. The only negative on the evening was the size of the sides. Definitely not enough to share The cold seafood Appy was awesome.

Maybe it's just me but I would never open up a steakhouse and not serve french onion soup I came here with a fairly large party (~12) of family. I understand that with a large party can sometimes come some issues but we were hit with quite a few. The service was extremely slow. With a party of 12 you'd think they would assign 2 servers but that wasn't the case. Numerous steaks, including mine, came out over cooked. Medium instead of rare in some cases. For an upscale and pretty expensive steak house, the lack of bang wasn't worth the buck.

The food was decent, but the main reason for my poor review is because I brought some customers here for a nice dinner during a recent conference, and while I made reservations for 8, we were not seated until 830, and didn't even PLACE our orders until after 10. Everything was painfully slow. There didn't seem to be a huge rush and the restaurant was probably at 60% capacity. I usually appreciate a place that doesn't rush people through, but we wound up spending almost 4 hours on dinner and I could tell that 2 of my customer's steaks were pretty over-cooked, while I knew they would never complain with me picking up the bill. For a place that winds up costing over $100 per person, I would have expected a little more attentive service. Judging by the other generally positive reviews that led me to make the reservation, I hope it isn't a trend.

I hosted a business dinner here and thought Charley's did a very good job. The service was 5 star all the way in terms of attentiveness. Food - we started with bacon wrapped scallops & portobello mushroom fries served with a rich blue cheese sauce. Both very tasty. Salads are included and are pretty basic - didn't care for the "Spanish" vinaigrette personally. All of us ordered steaks (because it isn't called Charley's fried chicken) - either you'll love their grill method or you won't. Their oak fire adds a woodsy, smoky flavor that I personally enjoyed very much. My steak was ordered medium, but came out closer to medium rare - tasty all the same. On a negative note, the au gratin potatoes were recommended as great but came out still hard and basically uncooked. Gross. And I ordered my filet with Maytag blue which wasn't melted, just dropped on top. I also didn't enjoy the relentless "spiel" where I have to look at a tray of raw meat or dessert and every.single.detail is explained. I know the servers are forced to do it, but it's really unpleasant when you're trying to have a conversation. Those small issues aside, Charley's was very good. In a sea of theme park crap, it's a great choice.

I found Charley's Steakhouse to be Five Star all the way. Not only does it have the very finest cuts of aged meats, it's entire menu is near perfection, well thought out with a combination of not only meats but other items, some novel like the Florida Gator appetizer, some many unique like the Blue Cheese Kettle Fries. The also offer a wide degree of preparations, basically offering to prepare each item exactly as you desire. For example, I usually like my steak done Pittsburgh (heavily seared on the outside, cool red in the center) which was a style they had listed right there on their menu which is a style of preparation I've often ordered but never actually seen listed on a menu. The service, explanations of various dishes along with a presentation of various meats prior to cooking couldn't have been more detailed or better presented. However, when it comes to salads they don't even list them since you are confined basically to a house salad which was really good but I do miss being without an offering of a Caesar, anchovies or even black olives.....they only have green. One of the reasons I took my dinning party to Charley's is that they are all from Scandinavia and if there is one thing we have in the United States that is better than any place else in the world is our meats (please Don't Cry Argentina); and on that point Charley's came through leaving any issue about it undebatable. My guests were delighted to enjoy one of their first and perfectly prepared Bison ribeyes as well as some of our more traditional meats and cuts. I opted for the filet, center stuff with blue cheese, prepared Pittsburgh with a side of salt potatoes that came perfectly presented, done to perfection and being one of the most tasty, tender, delicious cuts of meat I've ever had. I can hardly wait for the chance to return. Indeed far better than a Capital, Morton's or a Ruth Chris. So, Five Stars!

I have always been a fan of this place. The wagyu steak is amazing and huge. The have top shelf liquor and amazing service. On a very busy night the bartender kim handled both the patrons at the bar, the restaurant orders and a very difficult client with ease. The only thing I could possibly say is they should have a smaller portion of the wagyu because some people can't finish that big of a cut. I would highly recommend this great restaurant.

Typical high priced steak house. The steaks were a hickory type smoky flavor, I thought too much flavor. Very nice atmosphere, professional server, she even brought out the cuts of steaks and explained them. Fairly impressed. I would go again. Best filet mignon I had was at NAPA restaurant at the Peabody

I went yesterday with my husband for early v-day. The wait was about 40 mins did not have a reservation. I must say the service was excellent! Our server Angel was very attentive and polite. Usually I wouldn't expect such great service on a very busy night but Angel does his job very well. I ordered the filet mignon with mash potatoes and my husband had the porterhouse with mash potatoes and broccoli the food was delicious! Steak was cooked perfectly and had such great flavor. I also had the lobster bisque for an appetizer which was also great. This was our first time visiting the restaurant and we will go back. Yes it's expensive my bill was $160 but your paying for the service and the food. It was worth the wait. If you go ask for Angel he's wonderful!

Fellow yelpers, Charley's steakhouse does have the feel of a 5 star restaurant steakhouse when you arrive. And service is usually spot on. The servers are taught well and are very knowledgable of the steaks and their cuts of different meats. With that being said eating here you are strictly paying for that feel of nice ambiance. For the prices you would assume the steak wouldn't be served by itself. I always think it makes a restaurant look bad to drop a plate off at ones table with only a steak sitting in the middle by its self. Meat temps. If you order your steak med rare and comes out well. Don't be nervous or afraid to ask them to change it. They won't have a problem doing this. However. This shouldn't happen. But it does happen more so then expected. Side dishes dishes are all served separately. The baked potatoes are larger then a small child lol. Desserts are huge. One piece of cake is big enough for four people. I have no idea of their thought process behind this. They are good. But nothing to call home about. I think what sets this place different from other chain steak houses I.e. (Longhorn, Texas Roadhouse, etc.) is strictly ambiance. Other then that, it's strictly special occasion type place.

I come all the way from California, rush to get here before they close, make it in before closing time, and they won't seat me. If you say you close at 10:30 PM, then honor that! The hostess wasn't much of a friendly lady.

This was really a disappointment from the start. late seating to only one serving of water and one offering of drinks....was very overpriced for the type of service we received. At times, it was a comedy of errors with delivery and execution, and the steak was not to level that we were brought to believe. I will try, possibly again, because of Murphys Law. I saw a lot of happy people, we, however, were not a part of them.

Just thinking about Charley's is making me drool a little. We always start off the meal with the Portobello Mushrooms with Gorgonzola Fondue. Ask for extra Gorgonzola fondue, because there is never enough. (Mostly because we did the bread into it as well) The lobster bisque is awesome, the chucks of lobster are so big that you have to cut it. The sides are family style, and everything I have tried have been tasty. Now for the main event, the steak. They use a special wood mixture for their fire, which is noticeable, I have never tasted a steak like this from anywhere else. Unbelievable flavor. The fact that they start with a crazy high quality meat.

Probably one of the worst dining experience I have ever had. Food was horrible. Service was extremely slow. The kids menu lists the ability to add cheese to a hamburger for $0.055??? Ambiance is questionable: gold accents hint at refinement but the lone deer head on one end and the oversized wine bottle display on the other, tell a different story. After an impressive display and narration of all the different cuts of meat, the finished product was less than promoted. Steaks were well done when requested medium. Second attempts were a seared raw. Asparagus was soggy. Salmon had some type of built-up cooked sauce that made it look like a rotisserie chicken but less appetizing. Even my 5 and 9 year olds snubbed their noses at the food. After repeated screw-ups the manager finally acquiesced to comp the whole ticket. After boxing up a third steak attempt and handing me his card with his sincerest apologies, he commented that he added a secondary box to go. The secondary box turned out to be an order of calamari. I'm sorry but if you can't cook steak or asparagus, I'm not eating your calamari! To do so would be a one way ticket to the ER with intractable nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. I've had better food at Applebee's! If you promote yourself as a top steakhouse, stop serving Hungry man-esque meals. They need a Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmare makeover!

We went here while visiting from New England. We were expecting something more like a Longhorn chain but it was a little more fancy than that. I got broiled chicken and my husband had a steak. We shared a side of mashed potatoes. He got two beers. I got a blackberry something-or-other (non-alcoholic). Cost: $90. Ouch. The salad was good, dressed perfectly. You do need to order a side separately if you want more than your meat on your plate. The service was very slow, but maybe that's because New Englanders are used to a crazy fast pace? The Chicken was ok but nothing fantastic. The steak was good. But I'd not call it $90 good. It was not worth the price unfortunately.

Went here last night for dinner with 3 other people. I got the porter house med rare. It came out over cooked and really didn't have much flavor. It was tough to cut through and too chewy. For an average steak house it would have passed but if your paying $43 for a steak it should be an excellent steak and the thought of dunking it in ketchup for flavor should never cross your mind. The guy who ordered fish said it was dry and didn't have any flavor or seasoning. On the bright side the guys who ordered chicken said they loved it though! The mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon were good too. Now to the service.... Our drinks were empty most of the night to the manager (or someone who wasn't a server) came over and took care of them at one point. The Charley's in Tampa was amazing so I expected this one to be similar which is why I took the group here. Major let down.

The neon signs threw us off a bit once we sat down and saw the prices, as my husband and I were just really hungry for some late night dinner and this seemed to be one of the closest and open options. Once we started eating, we were so glad we picked this spot. Wagyu beef sashimi seared tableside on a hot volcanic stone with Himalayan salt? Sold. Bison Ribeye for the hubs and a three course prix fixe dinner WITH wine pairing for me? Done and done. Couldn't have asked for a better late night meal.

The staff goes above and beyond to tend to your needs. Our waiter was one of the best we have ever had in any restaurant. The food was wonderful, the pork chop again was the best we have every had. And the is coming from a couple that is from pig capitol Iowa where the chops are great.

I was introduced to Charley's steakhouse by a friend when we came to Orlando on a golf trip. I now include it with my favorite steakhouses: Capital Grill, Flemings, Lawry's Prime Rib. Just for the record, this is not a fancy-schmancy steakhouse. It has excellent service and ambiance but you won't mistake it for one of those trendy places that serve tapas with sprouts on them and swirls decorating the edges of the plate. If you are brave get your steak Pittsburgh style--charred on the outside, rare on the inside. It can be almost overpowering, but the acrid taste of the charred crust combined with the flavor of the excellent meat is unforgettable.

Charley's reminds me of... Outback or Black Angus. The whole vibe is chainy - from the service to the ambiance. My waitress was apparently a cheerleader back in the day and explained how difficult a sport it has become. I have to admit they serve pretty good steak (obviously do NOT get the seafood; we ARE at a steakhouse, and I tried someone's tuna and it was disgusting). I ordered the XXXL fillet mignon, which was cooked perfectly. Twas pretty good - 3 or 3.5 stars. It comes with a complimentary salad, make sure you order the beefsteak tomato salad only if the tomatoes are in season. I ordered lobster on top of my steak, and I felt it was overcooked tasted overly salty / old. The fresh stone crab appetizer on the other hand was surprisingly good! The key highlights of my meal were the bread and snickers cheesecake... MMM., so bumpin it up to 4 stars just for that!

Everything was delicious! We tried the gator bites and portobello fries as our appetizer, both were very tasty and unique. First time eating gator and I will most definitely try it again. As the entree we shared the wagyu-Kobe style steak, lobster tails, and cheddar bacon mash. My husband ranks this as the best meal he's ever had! I think we will be visit Orlando again, not for the theme parks but for a 2nd meal at Charley's!

Hands down the best steak I've ever tasted. I've eaten at many recommended steakhouses and this one holds up. The presentation was excellent and the ambiance surprisingly casual for the quality of the food. The sides were very good, family style.

Food was mediocre and they cook it in fat or butter so is greasy. The waitress was more interested in speaking at length about all of her knowledge of steaks. not impressed with bringing the raw meat to the table and her picking it up and showing us. we spilled water on the table and she didn't take away the napkins we used to clean it up or the menus or refilled our drinks, Dark and smelly in there and the steak had a barn smell to it. Salad was tasteless and greasy.

Good food, good wine. loved the portobello fries. Very attentive service. Well worth a visit.

Food was good but had higher expectations for the steak. Kansas City 22 onz steak was cooked perfectly, however it had a very smoky taste which (in my opinion) hindered the true taste of the steak. That said, the fried calamari were some of the best I've had, and the bread... Oh, to die for!

This was our 2nd time at this wonderful restaurant. Don't let the outside neon lights fool you, it really is an upscale steak restaurant once you enter the front door. Both visits were near perfect. We live right down the street and, both times we went because we had some kind of coupon or discount, yet dispite this service was always top notch. We have not yet tried anything other than the rib eye, so can only review based on that...it's very juicy, flavorfull, and large! Prices might be higher than what you expect, but you're paying for very high quality food. What set this steak house apart for me was the house salad. I love salad and often end up disappointed by steak house salads. Theirs however, was as fresh as could be with a very tasty dressing. Also, notable was the bread...we quickly gobbled ours up and they were very nice about bringing us another basket. I would definitely go back to try some of their other steaks.

Great restaurant , make sure you make reservation unless you want to plan on waiting 1hr. Everyone is amazing here. Steaks are delicious

Charley's is a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance and service, but the food leaves little to be desired. Lobster bisque has huge chunks of lobster but is very watery and not served tableside with sherry as indicated on the menu. The bread had nice flavor but was served cold. The salad was boring and lacked ooomph. Meat was rubbery, fatty, completely undercooked and tasted like a smoked bbq filet (not worth the price). Lava dessert served cold (isn't lava supposed to be warm and oozing with fudge)? Thankfully, they comped half the bill for the experience.

It was a mixed experience for us, but we will definitely come back when back in Orlando. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their salad and bread. I would come back just for this! I was not crazy about the crab claw appetizer, it came out cold over ice and I'm not a fan of cold crab. Plus, it was served with a weird mustard sauce that didn't seem to go with it. I ordered the Angus Rib Eye medium and it was overcooked and tough. It was cooked at least medium well. I think it would have been a pretty good steak if I had ordered it rare instead! My husband ordered a seafood sampler platter and it was really good! I LOVED the cedar plank salmon, it had a very delicious sauce over it. If I ever come back, I will definitely opt for seafood over steak. The service was very slow, we ended up being there for 2 1/2 hours. It was good service, but the servers spend a LOT of time educating you on menu/steaks/etc and so there is a looooong time between courses.

In town for a wedding and asked the hotel where the best steak house was. Kindly driven by the hotel to Charley's and found the experience to be out-of-sight. Our friendly waitress really knew her job and explained and presented the menu options, choice cuts of meat with perfection. And of course there's the steaks. My wagyu rib-eye was beyond fantastic. My wife's filet and our guests meals were equally as good. The interesting thing is their real wood grill (oak I think they used) which imparted a wonderful "cook out" type of flavor. We look forward a trip back and highly recommend Charley's if you like a darn good steak. Greg T.

Down from 4 stars to 3 Spoke with the manager, was discussing online reviews and many posts saying they still had dry aged beef. Long story short the don't. Still a great steak over a 1100 degree citrus fried grill. Service was average this visit

I'm surprised by the number of high star ratings. I felt that the food overall was just not all that great. The salad was a little too overpowering, the appetizers were nothing memorable, and the steak didn't have a smooth flavor and was a little harsh. I was eating here due to a work outing, I would not come back.

Firstly, the service was very good all around. The waiter and manager were very eager to please. The issue was the food! The Filet was very overcooked and served on a bread plate. If I spend $40+ for a piece of meat, may I have a full size plate and not a slab of butter on top that loos like it was from Denny's? The salad was wilted, soggy and absolutely pre-made. The seafood was just OK at best, salamon was very overcooked and the shrimp was very tough. The strange thing is they have a walk in freezer you can view from the bathroom area. It was a mess, and I saw packaged meet inside, how is that fresh? Really wanted to like it, very disappointing.

This place has very good steak!! We ordered the master steak Surf and turf with ribeye. Steak was fantastic, service is good, but the lobster is very overlooked. The only complaint we have is that the food took a long long long time to come out (at least 45 min after we finished our appetizers). We would have sent the lobsters back but at that point we were already too tired so didn't bother. I would recommend this place for their steak, definitely not the seafood.

It was well worth the price, family of 4. We had calamarie, lobster mac and cheese, king bone kansas city steak with stuffed lobster tail. Everything was delicious, especially the bread and salad that comes with the meal. The staff were informative and proud to be there. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and did not feel rushed. Pricey but you will understand why when you try it out. The chocolate seduction cake was seductive and rich.

Ive eaten at most of the big name steak houses, Smith and Wollensky Ruth Cris mortons ect. Charley's sits up at the top with the best of them. The food is great and the service was great. Some mite say that it was costly but everything in Orlando is expensive. This Food was very reasonably priced. Especially considering the following night while on vacation in Orlando we ordered Chinese to the hotel room. Cost us $38.00 and tasted like cardboard this food was very well priced for the quality. I wish they had one in Fort Lauderdale

Went back a couple of weeks ago and had another fabulous dinner. We did have a problem with the service in the beginning, but it was rectified. Our first server just never came. He dropped by for a second to say he would be serving us and that he would be back in a moment, and didn't even take our drink orders. When the table next to us that was seated after us received their drinks, I asked that waitress if we could move. Our new waitress said that moving was not necessary and that she would wait on us where we were. She was a wonderful waitress. The lobster soup is the second best I have ever had and I order lobster bisque anywhere I go. (Prime 112 in Miami is #1) The blue cheese fillet mignon, asparagus, mushroom with blue cheese fondue appetizer, all of it, was simply wonderful. This is the meal I want before I die.

I went to Charley's on I-Drive a few years ago and intended to Yelp it and didn't. (Bad me.) On Friday I visited Orlando again and since our hosts were refusing to eat Asian food and my husband promised a night full of sneak-a-farts if we ate Indian food, we decided on steak. So now you get two reviews in one, yay! First things first, for a steak house this particular chain is pretty casual. The first time we went we both wore formal clothes. This time I was in jeans and a sweater and no one batted an eye. Granted, this Charley's is in the super-tacky neon strip of 192 so they're probably used to people coming in there looking foolish. Service both times has been fine. Our group was probably a bit more obnoxious this time around (bread gobbler, one person constantly trying to weasel free food), but the server took it in stride. The waitstaff is clearly proud of the food that they serve and answers food-related questions very readily. I got to taste a bit of Grappa, thanks to our server's offer of samples. (It's pretty nasty, for what it's worth.) Now, on to food. *** Appetizers: (I Drive) Gator Tail, Ahi Tuna (192) Lobster Cappucino, Crab Cakes seared on oak Our first visit here was my first experience eating Gator Tail that wasn't essentially a greasier, gristlier version of a chicken nugget. The tail here was panko-breaded and hammered flat, and had a subtle bite to it. The ahi was very good. It was seared perfectly and the sesame sauce added nice flavor. The Lobster Cappucino was a whim on my part. I was thinking that they were going to give me lobster dusted with coffee grounds or something (that tastes like black pepper, if you've never had it), but it's actually lobster bisque served in a soup bowl, with a dollop of sherry whipped cream and a single shell-on claw in the middle of the bisque. Creative presentation, but truthfully I'd just as soon as have my lobster meat already in the bisque even if it does cook down to nothing. This soup was just a random bisque with no lobster flavor. The crab cakes were nice--I've had better, and I've had way worse--so no complaints here. Salad: (I Drive) Beefsteak Tomato/Vidalia Onion (192) House Salad I know they're a steakhouse, but steakhouses are perfectly capable of making decent salads. The beefsteak tomato and onion salad is what appears to be two tomatoes and an entire vidalia onion, all sliced enormously. I had no idea that I was ordering a salad rightfully meant for six, my husband took one look and got the "hell no" face on, and in all honesty I should have returned it. I didn't, and after eating one slice of tomato and onion the remainder found a new home in the mini-fridge of our room at the Peabody. I'm sure the maid just LOVED that surprise. The house salad appears to be the standard chopped iceberg mix you can find at any Publix. It's quite inoffensive and unmemorable. Steak: (I Drive/192) Porterhouse We looked at the published weight for the steak on this visit and wondered aloud, "Why in the world did we get that porterhouse the last time we came? How did we eat 38 oz. of meat?" Then the meat tray came out and our server explained, in between explaining everything else, that the weight includes both fat and bone. A-ha. We eyed the filet, the specialty filet (only two in the ENTIRE cow!), the Strip, the ribeye, and the specialty porterhouse all over again. But in the end, we went back to our old friend. When you first come in, you'll see a guy working sizzling steaks over an open grill--he'll be cooking your meal. All steaks came out perfectly to order. The medium rare steaks didn't leak a drop of red. That grill master is on his game. In addition to the cognac pepper sauce that we ordered and the gorganzola cheese that our hosts got, we got to try samples of the house bearnaise and hollandaise sauces. The general consensus was that the hollandaise was too lemon-y for steaks, but that all of the other sauces were killer. The sides were all good. If you get any of the mashed potatoes topped with bacon, you should know that "bacon" to these folks is "pork belly" to everyone else. That's not a bad thing. Dessert: (I Drive) Tiramisu (192) Black/White Torte, Carrot Cake The dessert on our first visit was ... eh. Tiramisu is usually never an issue for me unless it's frozen, but every bite burned our mouths. When we asked the waiter what was up with that, he laughed and said that it was made with pretty cheap whiskey. Oooookay. It's no longer offered on the menu, so maybe other people didn't like that after-dinner shot of Cutty Sark either. I didn't try Brice's carrot cake because ... well, it's carrot cake and we've all had carrot cake. My ganache-filled torte was superb. *** So. Not the best steakhouse I've ever been to, but way more ups than down. I'm a fan, I'd return. 4 stars.

Revised 06/16/2012: Updated to 5 Stars based on food quality and service. Recent visits. Again they have a lifelong customer. CHANGE REVIEW BELOW FROM 1 STAR TO 4, BASED ON ACTION BY ESTABLISHMENT. I believe whoever answered the phone was not acting on behalf of the management's direction... see how important it is to hire - coach a good host / hostess! I received two calls from two separate managers who clarified that dining in the bar is acceptable. Therefore, I will visit the restaurant again, on my dime (i prefer to remain independent) and RE-review the service and food. Previous Review From 02/27/2012: One star based not on food quality, but odd policy of the establishment. No dining in the bar???!! This is what I was told by the person who received my call this evening 02/27/12. 5:30pm. Just called to make sure that it would be ok to dine in the bar, as I do regularly at John Howie Steak - Seattle area, Frankie & Johnnie's - NYC, St. Elmo - Indianapolis, Donovan's - San Diego. Sorry barkeep. Your loss. I'm usually tip 30%.

It is with disappointment I write this review, having been a Charley's fan during my five visits over a decade. During my most recent visit, the food was decent, although I was puzzled why the T-bone I was dreaming of is no longer available ("it was a corporate decision about a year ago", I was told). Odd that a steal joint wouldn't serve T-bone, which wasn't the cheapest cut by any means. Isn't that a T-bone on the sign? But my biggest problem with this restaurant, and the reason I won't return, is the clientele they allow inside. Please understand, I am not a snob and not normally a fancy dresser. I visit high end steakhouses like this maybe only once a year, and only for special occasions. Our anniversary dinner during my recent visit was such an occasion. As we walked in, I rolled my eyes at the mom with the 8-year-old girl in theme park attire reading the menu, knowing they'd feel terribly under dressed when they entered. Turns out I was the fool for wearing a nice dress shirt and slacks (glad I left the tie and coat in the car). Inside, atmosphere felt more like Golden Corral than the high end steakhouse it tries to be. I am not exaggerating. We were seated next to a man in a tank top, camo cargo shorts, and Crocs, who's daughter may be been in her swimsuit with a t-shirt over it. I was appalled to see an elderly gentlemen in a Jimmy Buffett t-shirt and shorts sit down with baseball cap on. There were lots of others like this, mixed in with people wearing nice dresses, sportcoats, and business casual attire. I understand the restaurant is situated in the tourist corridor of Orlando/Kissimmee. And I don't fault Charley's for their customers' poor choices in attire. But in not upholding the same dress code for customers that they clearly insist for their nice-looking staff, locals like myself who want to celebrate a special occasion in a respectable environment should choose to go elsewhere. PS: I am very curious to know if any disabled men have ever used their handicapped toilet in the restroom. Due to what I'm sure is an old building design, their is no room for a handicapped stall. So they've dropped a toilet right next to the sinks, with no stall walls, and in clear view of anyone in the hallway when the door is opened. Never seen that before.

Ah! What a wonderful meal. I had the Asian Cajun Ahi and it was delicious. The others both had the 22 oz Kansas City Strip cooked just the way each wanted it. We all shared the Lobster Macaroni & Cheese - so sinfully rich. For dessert, I had the Tuxedo confection - chocolate cake with chocolate mousse covered in chocolate. My sister had the Key Lime pie which she raved about. Our servers, Shawn and Amy, were both delightful and attentive. I was amazed from the classy ambiance that so many patrons were dressed so casually. We weren't rushed and enjoyed the calm quiet not found in many restaurants these days. It was pricey but well worth it!

I must say after having read the reviews I was expecting a great dining experience and knowing that it was expensive. Regretfully I must say that the three of us were disappointed. One steak was ordered medium and came well done and by the time it was replaced the sides were cold and the other two guests had finished their meals. The steaks are ok but certainly nothing special and certainly not justifying the price tag. Our server was pleasant but I am still waiting for the chives to go with my baked potato.

Truly a superlative experience. Everything was superb. The portobello 'fries' with gorgonzola fondue were worth the visit by themselves. The filet mignon Oscar style and cedar plank salmon both melted in our mouths. The red skin mashed potatoes could have been a meal unto itself. Even the iced tea was a cut above. Our waitress, Kat, made the whole dinner an absolute pleasure.

Best food I have ever had. Order French onion soup with my fillet. Soup and salad were good and the steak was melt in your mouth perfection. Order the snickers desert which was fabulous. Service was amazing. The meal was worth every penny, on my next visit to Florida I will defiantly be eatin here again.

Steaks - top notch. Very very good and no complaints. Complaint - I was there with business associates from Europe. We spoke together in German, so our waiter was quick to brand us as tourists. We were default charged a gratuity on our bill of 18%, as a tourist tax. I have no problems giving tips, but putting it on the bill turns me offffffffff. The food is 5, but I am annoyed and not satisfied with the experience. I did not complain on the scene, as I was doing business, but I have a good memory. Sorry Charley's Steak House - you have lost a customer.

Neon makes me nervous so I was a little tentative driving up to Charley's. Walking in the place looked like a standard steak house, dark wood, white table cloths, dark chandeliers. The place was packed for a Monday night, which in my opinion speaks to it being a good establishment. Steaks & food was appropriately priced and they had a decent wine selection. Miguel our waiter was wonderful and our food was well paced. Try: +++ Pan-Fried Calamari: Wonderful surprise. Not the standard fried calamari. It was served with jalapeños and a variety of peppers which made this a great choice. +++ Shrimp Cocktail: Don't share this. Each shrimp comes in it's own shot glass with different sauces. You won't have the opportunity to enjoy them all if you share. +++ Ribeye bone-in (not on the regular menu): Cooked perfectly. This steak was huge and flavorful (due to the large amount of fat & marbling). If you're looking for a "healthy" steak and don't like eating fat, skip this one. Looking to clog some arteries? Give it a whirl. +++ Sea Salt Baked Potato: Standard baked potato. Nothing flashy or fancy. Skip: ----- Beefsteak Tomato & Vidalia Onion: Not sure what I was thinking when I ordered this. On second thought, gnawing on a quarter inch thick onion the size of a saucer doesn't sound all that appetizing and it wasn't.

I was in Orlando for the Gartner IT Symposium, which brings way too many people into town. We had asked our cabbie to bring us to Sand Lake Road, but he said it would likely be way too busy. We said steak and he suggested this Charley's, and the existing reviews were good so, we decided to try it. I won't say that it was a big mistake, but it certainly is not the high quality steak house experience that I'm used to. Our waitress was quite a bit frazzled and was extremely apologetic, even for things that weren't particularly wrong. I would have to give the service a solid mediocre rating. The lobster bisque was way too creamy. It was almost pale from so much cream, and ended up with muted flavor. There was a dollop of whipped butter, it seemed, thrown on top. This cold lump of additional creaminess didn't really add to the dish. At least the lobster claw provided was well cooked and had decent flavor. The side salad was kind of a mess of iceberg, chopped bits of tomato and cheese. Very overdressed for my tastes. I should have upgraded to the wedge. We ordered a side of broccoli which was just fine, but the side of "grilled vegetables" was really disappointing. I had ordered a T-bone, medium rare, Pittsburgh style. What I really meant to order was Chicago style -- cooked to desired done-ness and then seared on the outside. Pittsburgh is basically seared only on the outside and then extremely rare on the inside. Having been disappointed last night, now that I realize I ordered wrong, I must say that they nailed the Pittsburgh right on the money. The fillets that my associates ordered were well cooked and had good flavor. Overall this was a middle-of-the-road steakhouse experience. Compared to a Bone's or a Hal's in Atlanta, where I'm from, this place doesn't stand a chance. But if you're looking for something nicer than Outback that won't break the bank, I guess Charley's will do.
Charley's Steak House was delightful. Fancier than I thought it was going to be but they still welcomed me in my jeans. I don't eat much steak so I ordered Scallops, lobster tail, shrimp and veggies. Mmmm, it was all so yummy. My BF ordered a steak and he enjoyed it and couldn't finish it. Our meals and desserts were pretty large and worth the cost. We ordered cocktails instead of wine which I think was a mistake as our cocktails were very sweet and not strong at all. I had to order club soda to water down the sugar. I think I tried both a mojito and a margarita. I ordered their snickers cheesecake for dessert. It did not taste anything like a snickers bar (besides the little piece of snickers on top) but it was so fricken amazing I kept saying I was going to go back and order another. I never did make it back as we were so busy trying other places but I still crave that darn cheesecake.

Multiple locations, this is the only one I've been to and am reviewing. Highway 192 outside Disney is not the place I would typically go for a steak dinner, but ended up here around 2003 because a co-worker was staying at the Hyatt near by. We walked in with low expectations, had a drink and then I had the filet. It was larger than I wanted at 13 ounces, but was what stood out to me, and was very pleasantly surprised with the flavor. Back then, I swore they wrapped the steak in bacon before grilling and then removed the bacon, not sure, but it had great taste. Went again last night, many years later, and again had the 13 ounce filet, but this time shared it with my wife. Was still an excellent piece of meat and great flavor. I believe the waiter said they wet age the meat, so maybe this is another term for brining it, which would explain the added flavor. Either way, it's good, and if you share it and a side dish, you don't waste half your meal in the hotel fridge. Brocoli with garlic was also good, carrott cake was too large for my wife and I to finish. $7 per glass Malbec is fine if you don't have a favorite wine on the menu.

We visited Charley's March 25, 2010 and we had a great experience. We called ahead for our seating so the wait to get seated was less than 10 minutes. We had Costas as our server and he was pretty knowledgeable about the menu as he eventually went on to tell us that he was formerly a chef. The place was a true steak house with cuts of meat for customers to view as soon as you walk in the door thru a deli style glass display. I had a Margarita while we waited to be seated but as soon as i had it in my hand we were called to be seated. We were happy with the short wait time and the smiling ladies at the front. Our glasses were immediately filled with water and Costas started explaining the specials. After that's done, they go and retrieve the steak tray and bring the different cuts of steak table side so that you get an up close view of which cut you want. He explained the cuts very thoroughly and where the meat came from and how it was fed. We had the Shrimp and Scallops appetizer to start and they were great, very well seasoned with plenty of flavor. She decided on the Kansas City strip and i had the 22-24 oz ribeye. They were both very tender and delicious. My girl commented that it was probably the best steak that she had ever had. They were so so flavorful and there was never a mention, let alone a need for any steak sauce to adjust the flavor. Both steaks came with two huge shrimp and lump crab meet on top. They were really outstanding. Along with her steak she had asparagus that was topped with a cream sauce, very tasty. Mine came with potatoes au gratin and again, delicious but we barely could get through the potatoes as the steaks were so good and very large portions for us. Everything else you'd expect was there, the bread, water was refilled promptly, Costas explained the available wine selections with recommendations... it was just a great meal and experience for us. All the wait staff wore aprons The place was very clean, there were no obstructions that stood out which allowed the many patrons to freely walk about as they wished. The restrooms were clean, tidy and had a fresh smell. The dress code was casual but you could dress up just as easy - this can easily be a formal dinner restaurant. If we can get past the chaos that is the Florida International Airport, we will certainly come back to Charley's Steak House.

I'm shocked that I have never heard of this restaurant! The location and exterior scream TOURIST TRAP unfortunately, because it is anything but that!! Upon entering and reading through their awards and reviews, you quickly see that they have consistently been named in the Top Ten Steakhouses in America for the last ten years, and were given First Place on that list for the last two years! We were seated quickly (having made a reservation)and given a formal and welcoming history of the restaurant and details about what really sets them apart. I appreciated the explanation of where/how they get their meat and the visual presentation of the specific cuts available. The choices for cut, size, combinations and toppings were nearly endless!! My wife and I both decided on the Petite Surf and Turf, partnering the smaller Filet Mignon with a Lobster Tail. I opted for the lump crab meat and shrimp topping as well. The food was fresh, the portions were generous and the flavors were some of the best I've ever experienced. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a very enjoyable, elegant and filling night out! The sole reason for the lack of the fifth star is that I had to ask the waiter's assistant to refill my water three times. I do not believe that you should ever have to request a refill at a five-star restaurant. Our main waiter Scott, however, was absolutely excellent!

First time customer and we really liked it and would of gave it a better rating but did have a few issues as well. We ordered the surf and turf the waiter explained to us the size of meat and two lobster tails I asked it twice were getting two of the sample lobster tails that was on the tray and he said yes it came with a house salad the first bite right away I can tell they didn't wash the lettuce so I didn't continue with the salad. The waiter came and picked up and didn't even ask why I didn't eat it. ??? We sat next to the wine cabinet and behind us the waiters stood and complained about another waiter. It about 4 waiters and really getting into it. I don't think this is something we needed to hear when we are paying $150.00 for a meal for 2. The food came and my steak had to be sent back under cooked the Lobster came only one tail then he cut is half and gave it to us and I asked him you said that two lobster tails were going to be served and he said yes you have one and he has one but in reality it was only one cut in half he just looked at me and said you each have some lobster on your plate all in all I would never order again it was a very large lobster but it didn't have any taste at all. The steak when it came back was REALLY GOOD if I go back I would just get the steak only. We do live in the area so we will see. The waiter was nice and helped us out along the way but to be honest the bus boy was very nice and we seem to like him more than the waiter. He seem to do more for us. I only have one more thing and I hope that the management is reading this. When I walked in we sat for a few minutes and the first thing I noticed is the ceiling for a steakhouse please fix the ceiling tiles they were white when put in but they were black and very dirty very very very dirty. I would replace them with black tiles I'm sure most of it is from the cooking but I did question my husband while waiting if we should even eat here. Please don't get me wrong I would return for the steaks if you love steaks this is the place to go. But pass on the lobster. Oh yes and the chocolate cake yummmmmmmm.

Great steaks and seafood. The restaurant is much like a Morton's of Chicago. Steaks were great and wife had a chicken dish that was fantastic. Loved it.

We visit Orlando for a week every December and end up going to Charley's for dinner at least once and its always been at this location. the service is great the hostess are funny and very timely. Do i need to mention the food?? love their steak!!! ahhh the yummy aged steak and their fried alligator is simply delicious !!! we ordered the porter house steak with baked potato and a bottle of Riesling. the Dinner came with a salad which was as a salad should be (which on hind sight, I should have eaten because it filled me up before the steak that i was dreaming about for the last few days came) not that it came late. The steak was perfect and juicy and just the right amount of bloody! : ) will be definitely visiting this restaurant again next year!!

STEAK Pronunciation: 'stAk Function: noun def: a slice of meat cut from a fleshy part of a beef carcass This place has lots of red fleshy beef carcass to offer you in 4 different cuts: porterhouse, ribeye, filet, and strip. They offer two different sizes of each cut, depending on how carnivorous you're feeling. The smallest being the 13oz. filet and the biggest being the 50oz. porterhouse. If you opt for the 50oz. porterhouse, it includes a follow-on prostate exam. The steaks were cooked pretty much in line the temperature request, but maybe a slightly bit more on the rare side. For side items, I'd recommend the mushrooms & onions, pesto mashed potatoes, and the broccoli (though beware, there's lots of garlic). The wine list is pretty expansive, so you're bound to find something that you're looking for. The decor is a step above TGI Friday's, so don't bother ironing your shirt.

This place is awesome!!!! Now i don't frequent expensive steakhouses but this place was top notch in my book especially considering you didn't have to dress all nice looking like your rich to eat like the rich!!! 50oz porterhouse and 1 1/4lb lobster tail was our meal for two and it couldn't have been better!!! We brought 1/2 the dessert menu home to LOL found out the chocolate cake, snickers cheesecake and carrot cake is to die for!!! If your staying anywhere near disney YOU HAVE TO try this place if your wallet allows it but you should be like me and realize YOUR ON VACATION SO JUST SPEND IT!!!

First time customer and we really liked it but did have a few issues as well. We ordered the surf and turf it came with a house salad the first bite right away I can tell they didn't wash the lettuce so I didn't continue with the salad. The food came and my steak had to be sent back under cooked the Lobster I would never order again it was a very large lobster but it didn't have any taste at all. I would replace them with black tiles I'm sure most of it is from the cooking but I did question my husband while waiting if we should even eat here. had dinner her to night and everything was impeccable. the service was outstanding and the food was amazing. i ordered the surf and turf special: shrimp cocktail sampler: three LARGE shrimp on cocktail, remoulade, and louis sauces in shot glasses, beautiful presentation; 22 kansas city strip: large, cooked perfectly; madagascar shrimp: open faced split shimp, grilled, with something like bacon pieces on it. YUMMY; dessert trio: key lime pie, creme brulee, baily's milkshake: very innovative, smaller dishes. bf liked the fact that they did not smother desserts with tons of sauces. hold integrity of the dessert. courses came with wine pairings. ALL of this for only $49! since bg cant eat "surf" he ordered from reg menu and got the kansas strip. entrees come with salads and sourdough. salad was a little overdressed, but the dressing was very good. bread was warm (yay!) both orders came out at the same time. meat was well prepared and cooked perfectly. the prices on the menu were very reasonable, they had a good selection of wine also. will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We tried Charley's on our final night in Florida having heard it was the best place around for steaks. When ordering you are shown the different cuts on offer and this helps making the choice. The way the meal is served is rather odd though, with what we had assumed was a side salad being served basically as a starter. This meant that when the steaks came, that was it, there was nothing else served with it, unless you had shelled out for side dishes too. Once over that oddity we were left to enjoy our steaks, and I have to say mine was sensational, a really outstanding piece of beef cooked to perfection. A good tip is to order your steak one stage less cooked than you normally would, as the hung meat here is so fine.

The place has great customer service....the food was good but not great......I'll recommend this for special occasion. ...

Excellent steak but for the price you should get a side. Waiter very knowledgeable about the cuts. I'll go back but only for a special occasion. Pricey.

Food was good but had higher expectations for the steak. Kansas City 22 onz steak was cooked perfectly, however it had a very smoky taste which (in my opinion) hindered the true taste of the steak. That said, the fried calamari were some of the best I've had, and the bread... Oh, to die for!

Greg T.

Service is a little slow but pleasant. Skip the gator bites appetizer....nothing special. Sat down at 7:30 served at 8:45. Steaks were truly awesome.

(2)Sean S.
Steaks were amazing. Best in a while!! Desserts were only Ok. Salads were mediocre too. But potatoes and steaks and service were outstanding.
(4)Jeremy N.
Loved it. Mostly because the steak (I had the rib eye) was unlike any I've had anywhere. Smoky flavor, super juicy. Healthy port on the martini. Blue cheese stuffed olives. Wonderful service. Would return in a hot minute!
(5)Jessica C.
Food was excellent. Steak was excellent I shared my porterhouse that's how big it was and we were both stuffed. Service was ok there was a large party next to us so I think it effected that services. It's pricy here but worth it for the steak
(4)Wes M.
Great place. The menu is huge, not the choices the size. :-) The steaks were awesome. The seafood was great too. The desserts were great. This is real close to Disney. The food was far better and the price was close to the same as eating on the Disney Campus.
(5)Jeanette M.
Fabulous dinner!. Our waiter, Albert was superb. Truly the most delicious salmon I've ever had.
(5)Brooke S.
(3)Jeff Y.

(5)Michael F.
The best beef I've ever eaten at a restaurant. My wife and I split a porterhouse, gator bites, escargot, and shrimp scallop scampi. Absolutely terrific! We will be back $120 and worth every penny! Will definitely be visiting again!

Was here for a company dinner - steak was good and juicy - however not out of the world tasty. Give the place a try good food and ambiance!
(4)Jordan S.
(1)Chris M.
(2)D C.
For the money, this was the worst steakhouse I,ve ever been in. Expensive and pretentious high class. It's not!!
(1)Pamela Y.
(5)Lance C.
Our waiter Chris was outstanding. I had the T-bone MR with cream kale and a baked potato. WOW the meat was so very flavorful no seasoning needed excellent smoked flavor charred on citrus and hickory wood!!

The food and drinks were fantastic. The pumpkin margaritas was surprisingly Ahhhhmazing! So were the freshly blue cheese stuffed olives, and wine selection. Crab cakes were great and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Our server John Hart was awesome!!!!

Nothing special about this restaurant except the very high price
(3)Thomas B.
(5)Chip S.
(2)Joan M.
Started with yummy infused drinks at the bar A great place for steak. The wood smoke entices you the minute you walk in. The only negative on the evening was the size of the sides. Definitely not enough to share The cold seafood Appy was awesome.
(4)Ryan K.

Truly Amazing. from the service , to the informative meat introduction, meat selections, to lobster mac n cheese, followed by triple chocolate cake...... I have dreams of this meal for the past week!

I love the porterhouse!!!! Comprared to other upscale steakhouses their prices are better and the steaks are just as good if not better.

(4)Thom M.

(3)Lee T.
I come all the way from California, rush to get here before they close, make it in before closing time, and they won't seat me. If you say you close at 10:30 PM, then honor that! The hostess wasn't much of a friendly lady.
(1)Juan T.
The place has great customer service....the food was good but not great......I'll recommend this for special occasion. ...
(3)Steve R.
(2)Jennifer Q.
Just had dinner for 12 - 6 of which were children - our server Darryl was amazing!!!! The food was fantastic all around. Will plan our next trip around a repeat visit!!!
(5)Chris C.
(5)Mike W.

(3)Eddie R.
Excellent steak but for the price you should get a side. Waiter very knowledgeable about the cuts. I'll go back but only for a special occasion. Pricey.
(4)chris N.
Wygu Kobe style steak and horse radish French fries and pork chops best in the universe
(5)Keegan B.
(2)Anna B.
Once again a fabulous meal. 2 Colorado's and 1 Cajun Tuna which was so excellent. I can't wait to go back.
(5)Van T.
(4)Steve M.

(5)Jess C.
(4)Lindsey A.
(5)Jacob M.
Hands down the best steak I've ever tasted. I've eaten at many recommended steakhouses and this one holds up. The presentation was excellent and the ambiance surprisingly casual for the quality of the food. The sides were very good, family style.
(5)Susan F.
(2)Willie R.
Good food, good wine. loved the portobello fries. Very attentive service. Well worth a visit.
(4)Mario C.
Food was good but had higher expectations for the steak. Kansas City 22 onz steak was cooked perfectly, however it had a very smoky taste which (in my opinion) hindered the true taste of the steak. That said, the fried calamari were some of the best I've had, and the bread... Oh, to die for!
(3)Erin N.
(5)Sterling Y.
Great restaurant , make sure you make reservation unless you want to plan on waiting 1hr. Everyone is amazing here. Steaks are delicious
(4)Michelle G.
(2)Lindsay K.
(4)Greg T.
Greg T.
(5)Brad K.
Down from 4 stars to 3 Spoke with the manager, was discussing online reviews and many posts saying they still had dry aged beef. Long story short the don't. Still a great steak over a 1100 degree citrus fried grill. Service was average this visit
(3)Lisa R.
I'm surprised by the number of high star ratings. I felt that the food overall was just not all that great. The salad was a little too overpowering, the appetizers were nothing memorable, and the steak didn't have a smooth flavor and was a little harsh. I was eating here due to a work outing, I would not come back.
(2)Mark R.
(2)Wendy L.
(4)Anh T.
(5)Matthew P.
(5)Michelle C.

4 stars.
(4)Cassie L.
Great tasting food and great service by our waiter, Dominic! Expensive but worth it for a special occasion or a treat.
(5)Rashid M.
Pretty good steak, but I've had better. Waiter was very friendly and explained all the different cuts of steak. Not as classy as Morton's or Ruth Chris, but the atmosphere was nice.

(5)Mike D.

(5)Ricardo M.
Really good steak, service is the same of other restaurants, place is very nice
(4)Joe N.

My family went to Charley's on our last night in Orlando. You could say we saved the best for last. Our meals were excellent and our service superb! Jeremy our waiter took excellent care and made some great recommendations. Wish we had one in Tri-Cities!

Gracious service. Perfect steak. Salmon was delightful.

Large steaks and very tasty. Good seafood. A little uneven on service.

Best service! Surf and turf options hard to understand! Great Creme brûlée flambé!

Service is a little slow but pleasant. Skip the gator bites appetizer....nothing special. Sat down at 7:30 served at 8:45. Steaks were truly awesome.

Great steak but be warned, it's a bit pricey

If your staying anywhere near disney YOU HAVE TO try this place if your wallet allows it but you should be like me and realize YOUR ON VACATION SO JUST SPEND IT!!!

had dinner her to night and everything was impeccable. the service was outstanding and the food was amazing. i ordered the surf and turf special: shrimp cocktail sampler: three LARGE shrimp on cocktail, remoulade, and louis sauces in shot glasses, beautiful presentation; 22 kansas city strip: large, cooked perfectly; madagascar shrimp: open faced split shimp, grilled, with something like bacon pieces on it.
(5)We tried Charley's on our final night in Florida having heard it was the best place around for steaks.

(4)Thom M.

(5)Doris Z.
(4)Brooke G.
We had a great dinner at Charley's the other weekend. We ordered calamari for an appetizer, yum!! I think their caesar salad is probably the best I have ever had. We ordered scallops, shrimp and a filet. Everything was top notch.

(3)Jeff Y.

For the money, this was the worst steakhouse I,ve ever been in. Expensive and pretentious high class. It's not!!
(1)Pamela Y.

Our waiter Chris was outstanding. I had the T-bone MR with cream kale and a baked potato. WOW the meat was so very flavorful no seasoning needed excellent smoked flavor charred on citrus and hickory wood!!

(1)Deanna D.
The food and drinks were fantastic. The pumpkin margaritas was surprisingly Ahhhhmazing! So were the freshly blue cheese stuffed olives, and wine selection. Crab cakes were great and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Our server John Hart was awesome!!!!
(5)Connie D.
Nothing special about this restaurant except the very high price

(5)Chip S.
(2)Joan M.
Started with yummy infused drinks at the bar A great place for steak. The wood smoke entices you the minute you walk in. The only negative on the evening was the size of the sides. Definitely not enough to share The cold seafood Appy was awesome.
(4)Ryan K.
(2)JT H.

(4)J. R.
Truly Amazing. from the service , to the informative meat introduction, meat selections, to lobster mac n cheese, followed by triple chocolate cake...... I have dreams of this meal for the past week!
(5)Al M.
I love the porterhouse!!!! Comprared to other upscale steakhouses their prices are better and the steaks are just as good if not better.
(5)Marqus R.

(3)Lee T.
I come all the way from California, rush to get here before they close, make it in before closing time, and they won't seat me. If you say you close at 10:30 PM, then honor that! The hostess wasn't much of a friendly lady.
(1)Juan T.
The place has great customer service....the food was good but not great......I'll recommend this for special occasion. ...
(3)Steve R.
(2)Jennifer Q.
Just had dinner for 12 - 6 of which were children - our server Darryl was amazing!!!! The food was fantastic all around. Will plan our next trip around a repeat visit!!!
(5)Chris C.
(5)Mike W.

(2)Anna B.
Once again a fabulous meal. 2 Colorado's and 1 Cajun Tuna which was so excellent. I can't wait to go back.
(5)Van T.
(4)Steve M.
The staff goes above and beyond to tend to your needs. Our waiter was one of the best we have ever had in any restaurant. The food was wonderful, the pork chop again was the best we have every had. And the is coming from a couple that is from pig capitol Iowa where the chops are great.
(5)Erwin S.
(5)Mark R.
(2)Jess C.
(4)Lindsey A.
(5)Jacob M.
Hands down the best steak I've ever tasted. I've eaten at many recommended steakhouses and this one holds up. The presentation was excellent and the ambiance surprisingly casual for the quality of the food. The sides were very good, family style.
(5)Susan F.
(3)Brad K.
(2)Erin N.
(5)Sterling Y.
Great restaurant , make sure you make reservation unless you want to plan on waiting 1hr. Everyone is amazing here. Steaks are delicious
(4)Michelle G.
(2)Lindsay K.
(4)Greg T.
Greg T.
(5)Wendy L.
(4)Anh T.
(5)Matthew P.
(5)Michelle C.
(5)April O.
4 stars.

Great tasting food and great service by our waiter, Dominic! Expensive but worth it for a special occasion or a treat.

Pretty good steak, but I've had better. Waiter was very friendly and explained all the different cuts of steak. Not as classy as Morton's or Ruth Chris, but the atmosphere was nice.

Really good steak, service is the same of other restaurants, place is very nice

Large steaks and very tasty. Good seafood. A little uneven on service.

Best service! Surf and turf options hard to understand! Great Creme brûlée flambé!

Service is a little slow but pleasant. Skip the gator bites appetizer....nothing special. Sat down at 7:30 served at 8:45. Steaks were truly awesome.

Great steak but be warned, it's a bit pricey
