We stayed at The Caribbean house for two nights. The room was small, but it was everything we needed. It was cozy, clean, and had a cute little private-ish patio. The owner, Marie provided us with beach towels, coffee, tea, and water. We had a reserved parking space which was a great help. She also rented bikes which was a neat idea. It is in walking distance from of all of the Hot spots in Key west. She gave us a map upon arrival that showed us the closest beach, the southern most point of Florida, Duval Street and Mallory Square. The price was the best I found around, and it was well worth it. I cannot wait to stay here again!

In our favorite Key West neighborhood of Bahama Village, there exists an adorable inn with an adorable nightly rate ($89 a night off season.) The location is amazing, with lobster benedicts and bloody marys from our favorite restaurant, Blue Heaven, basically so close they can tap us on the shoulder to wake us up in the morning. And the best thing of all: pooches welcome at no extra cost. That's right, up to 2 dogs of any size allowed per room. The room was tiny, with about 2ft of space surrounding the full bed, but very well decorated and home-y feeling. There was a TV to sustain us through a period of torrential rain, a side table, dresser, AC, and bathroom with a small shower. One of our pups cried the first night for about 20 minutes straight, when we ventured out for a slice of pizza after getting in a bit later than expected. I felt bad, but no one bothered us about it-- I think there is some tolerance for these things at such a dog-friendly place. If you get in late, ring the bell at the front door and the French woman who runs the inn will come down and check you in. They also had reserved a parking space in front of the building for us, which can be really helpful in that area. If the gates are closed, you need a key to get out or in, which is great for the letting the dogs walk around the bottom deck area in the morning without worrying about them slipping out. There is a small coffee bar with patio seating, so you can have a sip and let the pups meet-and-greet before heading out for the day. We felt our dogs were safe and sound while inside the property and there's an old football field-turned-dog park about 2 blocks away where they can get their run on. We'll definitely be coming back. The price can't be beat, and while we could use a scoatch more room, the fact that we don't have to pay to board the dogs and can just throw them in the car and take them with us, is, how you say, priceless.

Loved this B&B. It's small without any real amenities, but it's exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were immaculate. The Caribbean House is in a great location. We walked to the Southern Most Point of the Continental US (what a crock! check a map) all down Duval Street to Sunset Pier without any problems. It's within easy walking distance of the Hemingway House too, if that's you thing. The owner is a real sweetheart and she loves her cats, especially the one she calls Minou Minou (Kitty Kitty). She'll give you a map of the city and directions in broken English when you check in. There is free WIFI. Also, the gates close and lock at night, so don't forget you key or you'll be locked out. If you check out early in the morning before the office opens, don't forget to open the gate BEFORE you drop your key or you'll have to jump the fence to escape... just like my wife and I did.

My mom, myself and my 2 dogs ( chihuahua 16yrs old 14lbs and chow/lab mix 16yrs old 80lbs) arrived Saturday July 13th to meet a lovely woman who greeted me with a wonderful warm French accent and a hug. I felt like I was home. Check-in was a breeze, no stress, no worries and exactly the price she quoted 89/night and no fees for pets---i repeat, NO PET FEES. I paid in full, and she gave the tour of her lovely home. The room was quaint, 2 twin beds, refrigerator, a cute bathroom, nightstand between the two beds and a small dresser. It felt like an ideal room traveling to a secret island. The room was extremely clean, and Marie ( owner) helped to get settled. She directed me park my Corolla on the narrow roads and was constantly checking to make sure everyone was ok. We stayed on the 2nd floor. This was my first time to Key West, Bahamas Village, but it was a perfect fit for my personality and style, the place is quiet minus the cocking roosters, but it didnt bother me much. Coming from noisy NYC, and working in an animal hospital, roosters cocking was a natural way of waking up, to walk outside on the balcony and enjoy the sun rise with the cool breeze of the Island. Not only is this place convienently located less that 2 blks from Duval, it is also located in the middle of all attractions walking distance. I will definitely come back. I recommened all persons to experience Marie's hospitality and loving mother-like meaner.

The Caribbean House is my favorite place to stay in Key West! I would highly recommend it to any friends that were planning a trip down there. If you love the atmosphere of the Caribbean itself, then this Inn is the perfect place to stay- bright colors, clean but quaint, right in the heart of Bahama Village. I stayed there this past May for the second time and Marie, the lovely woman that owns the place, had upgraded the amenities-- a little breakfast patio with water, coffee, tea, ice, microwave, etc. And you get a little fridge in your room so you have every convenience you could need. And speaking of convenience, she now rents bicycles at a great low rate. On bike, everything on the island that you would want to see is less than 10 min away (though a VERY easy walk as well)-- Mallory Square, the Historic Harbor, Duval Street, Southernmost Point, Hemingway House, Ft. Zachary State Park/ beach, etc. I just love KW and the experience will never be complete again without staying at the Caribbean House. LOVE IT!

Sweet little B&B in Bahama Village. Cheap rooms in a cool part of town a couple blocks south of the mid-Duval craziness. And a great Conch fritter joint on the corner for good measure.
