Worst restaurant ever. Restrooms are filthy and stink. Food was average at best. Server was awful. Seats were dirty and the server went and got us napkins to wipe off the seat. Never came to refill water. Never checked on us again. Got check wrong. Whole experience sucked. Worst Margaritaville we have ever been to.

The food was good. Too much construction outside. The bathroom is way out of the way. Drinks are just okay.... Now if you're Vegas.... The I love hang at that restaurant. Sorry key west... Not one of my stop next time.

As a solo female traveler in Key West, nights on Duval street can be a bit dicey. Yes this place is touristy, but I thought the bar was clean, my bartender (Todd) was super nice, professional and chatty without being a pest. He also had good recommendations on drinks and food. It was a great place for a solo traveler (or imagine a family with kids).

So, yes, full disclosure: our family are Jimmy Buffett fans, and enjoy a chance to drop in on a Margaritaville restaurant when we can. As this was our first visit to Key West, of course we were going to check out the original location! We arrived in Key West early evening, so since we didn't yet know the ins and outs of the town, we decided to go with what we knew and hit Margaritaville for our first dinner in the area. We arrived at around 8:30 on July 3rd...basically the night before a holiday...not a busy time on Duval Street at all, right? :) Expecting a crazy wait, the four of us were seated within 10 minutes. I don't remember our waiter's name, unfortunately, but he looked like he was in his early 20's and I got the impression he was fairly new on the job. The biggest problem when you can only hit a restaurant once or twice a year on vacation is that you tend to stick with what you know. Our family got their usual Cheeseburgers in Paradise, but having already had a big burger at lunch, I broke ranks and got the Jerk Chicken for the first time. It was nice and tasty and rewarded my impulse to have something different. I also had a very awesome "Fins 2 the Left" blue margarita. I've always enjoyed the drinks at Margaritavilles and this was no exception. I had no qualms about having my kids in here for dinner at the hour we came in. I also noticed a few other kids with their families as well. You certainly can't say that about a lot of other places on Duval Street! Ultimately, if you're a fan of Margaritaville Cafes and Restaurants, this one won't disappoint. You know what you're getting: nice atmosphere, good food but a little bit on the pricey side for what you're getting, and great drinks.

The original Margaritvaville. Joe sadid we had to stop by. Very solid bar food. And PLENTY of it. They played all Jimmy Buffet hits (shocker right??) Tourist trap but hey, we were tourist.

Visited July 23rd, 2014. Nice atmosphere our waitress was very friendly and attendative. I order the fish sandwich, wasn't what I expected. At first I though it was chicken instead of blacken Mahi Mahi. It was thick and tough and not really blackened as ordered. Should have gotten a burger!

Huge disappointment, they do not make a frozen Margarita in hot key west. This place is a tourist trap. It is relying solely on their following. The Margarita was ok. I went with a friend who was a Margaritaville fan, now he is no longer a follower.
