Stopped in for drinks and had Great Service and fun time here. The ladies had lots of fun drink options. Bathrooms are in need of some refurbishing and the bar tender said they were closing in September to redo a lot of the area. We'll be back. Fun place.

Seems to be ran by Grumpy Old Queens. Went twice and found it to be true both time. Food was very average. Not special.

This was another of our stop offs on our stroll down Duval. We stopped for a quick cool down to get out of the hot sun. This is an interesting place. The dining area is crisp and looks like a fine dining area with crisp white linen on the tables and flow curtains, but the wait staff walks around in shorts and t-shirts. it just looks odd. We sat at the bar and the bar staff was friendly and attentive. Try their Mimosa's, and their Bloody Mary. My husband just loved the spicyness of the Bloody mary. I loved the mimosa. reasonable prices, view of the street so you can people watch. Didn't try any of their food so I can't speak to that but it was overall a pleasant experience.

What a fun and friendly spot! I must preface this by noting that this review is only for the bar, as I did not order food here. We popped in and sat at the bar for some brunchtime cocktails. I had a Bloody Mary and a Strawberry and Basil Mimosa. The Bloody Mary was the perfect amount of spicy and went down very easily. The Mimosa was extremely unique (a bit sweet, but still really good and refreshing). We chatted with the bartenders and other patrons and I can just tell that this would be a regular spot for me if I lived in Key West. My husband and I are thinking of staying at La Te Da on our next trip to Key West!

Chocolate creme brulee is just amazing!!! No other words to describe it. We decided to have the tuna appitizer and the baked stuffed oysters along with the lobster bisque.

I could not find a review page for the B&B portion of the business only the Cabaret and bar so I'm posting here. I called in April and booked told them I needed a room for 4 people. Eric, who took the reservation suggested room 29 because it had 2 queen beds and was one of the largest rooms. All was well! Booked and done. We show up Labor Day weekend to a completely rude front desk clerk who insists that he cannot check in 4 people to 1 room. I let him know who booked my room and that they had no problem booking. He calls me a liar several times stating that no one would make that mistake and says the only option is to buy another room. I asked to speak to Chris the owner who we've met before and seemed awesome. I was denied and told The owners are out of town and u reachable. I then asked for the manager and again was denied and told there isn't a manager for me to speak to. I insist and finally he makes a call on his cell phone, talks, hangs up and says "he said the same thing I did." I asked to speak with him myself and was told NO. He kept saying our policy online states 2 per room. I kept explains I didn't book online (in fact you CAN'T book online!) you have to call. I would up getting another room and paying an extra almost $500 because we had friends that traveled over 1000 miles to come for the weekend. I was not happy. In addition to all of this they didn't explain that the place was under major construction. All day from early morning to dinner there were awful sounds of power saws and hammering. Couldn't relax once at the pool. Tried to ask a waiter for a menu and he waved his hand and said "go to the bar I just took 18 orders". The worst service. The icing on the cake: I asked for the owners email and have now sent him 2 emails with not one response or call. They don't care about their customers. I wish I could have given them a "0".

Good food, nice atmosphere. We walked in off the street and were pleasantly surprised. The outdoor dining setting was pretty and they cooked my filet perfectly. Had the crab bisque as an appetizer and it was also delicioso. We skipped the caberet upstairs (not really our thing) but we could hear the musician playing at the downstairs bar and he wasnt bad. Our server was helpful and adorable but never gave us her name.
(4)Kelly F.
Sat at the outside bar and had the catch of the day with some drinks with a friend. Great atmosphere, very sophisticated without being pretentious. Live music normally but hadn't started yet. The service was great, Kathy was super friendly and gave great recommendations. Will go back tomorrow night and want to stay at the hotel when I come back.
(5)MN T.
Great food, nice ambience and great service! A little odd with having swimsuited hotel guests walk thru dining area to get to pool (right next to dining area), but didn't phase me much given that it's Key West and overall the place was excellent. Just adds a bit more 'flare' to the experience.
(5)Lee J.
Great bar with a terrific staff! Fun and very chill place to hang out with terrific drinks and amazing crab cakes!
(4)Zoë M.
We had drinks at this place a few times during our visit. We were introduced to some fabulous bar staff - Tonto and Anne-Marie. They made us feel so welcome and we felt like we'd known them for ages! Cocktails are amazing and the Chardonnay is pretty good too. It's a pricey place, but classy and very very enjoyable. There's a Piano Man, Dave Bootle, who is amazing and, if you're nice to him, he'll let you sing with him. Sadly, we didn't get to see the cabaret upstairs, but we've heard great things about this place!!!! There is an indoor and outdoor bar and a swimming pool too. This is for use for the hotel guests, but I only saw ball-balls in there as it was Christmastime. Thanks for excellent, friendly service!! Wonderful place, I'd love to go back.
(5)Rick P.
If you like small portions and overpriced food, this is the place. Egg white omelet was about the size of a cell phone, and was 13 bucks. Service was pretty slow, had to get my own utensils off another table. Server was space cadet. Camille is way better for the money and the service is top notch. Good luck.

My Dearest Darling Doug, Thank you for giving us exceptional service, delicious food and strong drinks. Hubby and I had a lovely time hanging out with you during our first day in Key West. Hubby and I were strolling from the hotel looking for a bite to eat and a cool drink when the open air bar at La Te Da lured us in. Talk about good drinks. Strong and cold, just the way we like them. And the prices are very reasonable considering this is a hotel bar. Oooooooh and what a lovely hotel! The pool is located in the center of the property and passing it on the way to the washroom was such a temptation. I just wanted to jump right in! Clean and pristine! I only saw pictures of the rooms, but they were really pretty. We ordered the Chili and Hearts of Palm dip. It came with a enormous basket of chips - a mix of tortilla and wonton chips. Super rich and super filling. The wine list is above average with good prices by the glass, half bottle or full bottle. I has a half bottle of J Lohr (with the Eco-friendly screw top) and it was reasonably priced at $22. The La Te Da was the perfect way to start our stay in Key West and it was all because of Doug. We will see you soon. Save us a seat at the bar. Kisses, VB

This review is of the food, not Randy's performance. Definitely go to the show if you're in town and lucky enough to get tickets. Do not, however, bother to eat at la te da restaurant. It's a good place to grab a martini or other cocktail, but the food is still mediocre at best. We are here in August 2013 and on our visit just a few days ago we went back because folks had said they had a new chef. I had a late breakfast of "tropical fruit" and my husband ordered a chicken sandwich off the lunch menu. My tropical fruit was not at all tropical. For $10 I was expecting some papaya or mango or kiwi or fresh cut pineapple. What I got was canned pineapple chunks, grapes, some melon, bananas and a few wilted strawberries. It was worth $5 and probably cost $2 to make. The chicken sandwich was very dry and the chicken tasted like it had been cooked previously and reheated. Sorry, but la te da is off our list for food.
(2)Patty K.
Drinks and food was very good. The music was very pleasant and we loved sitting and listening to it.
(5)Vanessa K.
My wife and I stopped by during our vacation for the Sunday tea dance and had a great time! We drank and laughed with friendly locals and danced to classic oldies! The energy was upbeat and inviting. I didn't know what to expect at the the tea dance-but I was happy to find a fun gay dance party on a Sunday afternoon!
(4)Matt H.
We had a fun, quirky server (though she never gave her name). Food was excellent. Crab bisque was a good starter. Almond encrusted Mahi Mahi was phenomenal to the last bite. Blue cheese encrusted filet mignon was so savory.
(5)Dave M.
Unfortunately an unmemorable dinner at an old classic in Key West. I think I'm over the old grumpy Italian waiter thing. This place needs a reset. The cabaret upstairs is still great fun and one the best little drag shows around.
(3)Dennis T.
This place is pretty but doesn't measure up. Nice white table cloth atmosphere in pretty white and blue but the cheesy Muzak was distracting. My crab Benedict was tasty but they only had Lipton Ice tea bags for my hot tea. And they were out of lemons. The coffee was lukewarm and who wants just warm coffee for breakfast. The hostess was eating her breakfast upon our arrival and I was applied to see the bartender stick her hand in a large jar of olives up to her wrist. Won't be going back.
(2)Troy B.
Was only hear for Sunday Tea Dance. The crowd was rolling and clearly having a great time. The DJ was playing to their tastes and he didn't disappoint. Bartenders are quick and efficient, though their beer selection could be better.
(3)Jackie G.
Went for pride weekend. Fun music and crowd. Wait staff a little grouchy and stay away from the fish plates. Could have been tons better.
(1)Stephanie W.
We were told this was the establishment for breakfast. Benedict's were recommended, but as we aren't fond of it, we ordered more basic. I saw many fruit and yogurtini 's being ordered and they looked yummy. We ordered coffee and OJ to start and our server was awesome. He looked like he enjoyed his job and was efficient without being In Your face. I ordered Eggs LaTiDa and the husband ordered the omelette of the day. Sad to say we returned the next morning and ordered the same thing because it was so wonderful the first time. First visit was a sausAge fontina and second visit was ham and cheddar. LaTiDa has a Carmelized bacon with cracked pepper, which I admit I can't make at gone after trying but it tastes close. Baguettes and eggs with sour cream and scallions and I was done for hours. The perfect portion and perfect atmosphere. The ONLY downside was coffee is $5/cup. WTF
(4)Lara M.
The rudest, most cantankerous old lady was working breakfast. She left us standing at hostess stand for 20 minutes. We finally asked if we needed to wait to be seated. She snapped at is to just sit anywhere. She looked right at us from 5 ft away so many times and went to wait on others instead of telling us that. I'm a former, long time server. Customer service isn't that hard. The poached eggs were so over cooked they were rubbery. We had to ask and re-ask for cream for our coffee and for water refills. The guys who was the owner or mgr was so nice. I wondered what he was thinking hiring people who had no idea how to care for people. I'm easy - smile and say hi. Our expectations weren't that high since we are on island time. It was so bad.

Went here for dinner after arriving in Key West late on a holiday night. We had looked at other restaurants but at all of them we were looking at a 2 hour wait. We only had about a 20 minute wait here and the staff in the bar was great (4 stars for them). What we didn't know at that time was that we should have stayed there. Our dining experience was horrible from the snooty waiter that needed to get over himself (you're a waiter and your job is to actually attend to people not disappear for 20 minutes at a time) and gave us the worst service that we've ever had to the food that was terrible. I kept checking my steak for laces and it had more fat than Jenny Craig. My wife's meal was equally disgusting. Luckily this was our first meal of a 2 week vacation so after hitting bottom here our meals could only improve and they did! Our advice is to ask why this restaurant wasn't busy when all the rest were? Do yourself a favor and steer clear of La Te Da!!
(1)Kelly M.
Cool ambiance. Enjoyed a delicious dinner out with my husband here while on vacation. The island salad was wonderful. As was the Mediterranean spaghetti. And, DON'T skip dessert...the chocolate chip peanut butter cheesecake was to die for!
(5)Shane S.
Went there for lunch first and it was great. Had the French dip was very good but small portions. Waiter was great and fast. Food took about 8 min to come. Went the next day for breakfast and I wasn't to impressed. Food was decent but took forever. Small portions again. Ordered orange juice and cup came out half full. Kinda spendy though.

The one star is for the beautiful woman that was singing in the piano bar on Saturday night. She was great! I ordered 2 martini's at about $12 dollars each, got the expresso and chocolate. When looking at the menu I realized that they use Smirnoff as their vodka?? I couldn't believe it. First I asked the bartender if I could switch the vodka but she said I'd have to order another drink since they didn't have flavored vodka. So I went with the Smirnoff and when I got the drink I realized that Smirnoff is so cheap that it burns your throat while drinking. So then I politely asked the pregnant bartender to add more chocolate syrup. She turned to me and started going on and on about how martinis as supposed to be strong and how she couldn't do anything about it. I am well aware of how martinis taste. They use Hersey's syrup nothing fancy so I pointed to it and she said no it's not chocolate. Liar, the martini was drizzled in it. I solved the situation by using a straw to mix the chocolate on the glass and it made the Smirnoff taste easier to withstand. My impression for this place was cheap drinks and rude bartenders.

Great breakfast to soak up some alcohol. Bacon made in house and benedicts are on point.

We had our first encounter with La Te Da over 20 years ago. On a whim we took a road trip to Key West and arrived to discover most of the inns were booked. There was a room available at the LaTeDa so there we stayed. Over the years (we have been to Key West 25+ time since our first visit) we have gone back to the La Te Da for a meal and to reminisce. As time went on it started to get a little rough around the edges and our visits were less frequent. Flash forward a few years... Two nights ago we decided to return for old-times sake and couldn't believe out eyes!! The place was hopping! There was a great performer in the lounge, the tables were full and it was a Thursday night. After talking to our waiter (I will get to him later) we discovered that the La Te Da had a new owner that we were quite Familiar with. Christopher from Antonia's!! Until this year, Antonia's was our favorite restaurant in KW. Christopher sold it and bought the LaTeDa in December. It explains everything.... The rooms have been redone, the menu has been updated and the entertainment is excellent! We now have a NEW favorite restaurant - helmed by our old favorite chef. We have gone 2 nights in a row and will more than likely be back again tonight. When you go, make sure to ask to sit with Matthew. He is one of the originals having been there since our first visit over 20 years ago. He definitely has some good stories!

Food was wonderful, when we came for breakfast, but service was mediocre at best. Only bread they had for toast was Challah...weird, right? And it wasn't toasted the first time it was brought out so we had to send it back to be toasted some more. Also had to ask for butter, jam and ketchup which should come standard with a breakfast involving potatoes, toast, etc.. Server never asked us about beverages, either, when she took our order so we had to track her down to get our coffee and juice. Bacon was amazing and eggs were cooked correctly. We stay at the Douglas House, so this is just a hop-skip-jump down the street. Sitting outside is a nice plus, but beware of the nuts falling from the tree (beech?). Pretty sure if you got bumped on the noggin by one you'd be out like a light. Ouch!

To start let me say that we had a blast here visiting the bar 3 times and the restaurant during our week-long stay. The Good: The (outside) bar ... hands down the best part of our experience. Ambiance, service, and friendliness were great, and the drinks delicious. Mindy the bartender was there nearly every night and not only made us feel welcome but also was a wealth of information about where to dine. La Ti Da is located at the South End of Duval which means less of the craziness (and street traffic) you find at the North End. They play music every night, mostly acoustic, jazz and Broadway standards, at the indoor bar which you can hear clearly from the outside bar. Debra & Patrick were particularly memorable dishing out some beautiful smooth jazz. The Bad: The Dining Room. The one night we dined there we found the meal to be edible, but not much better. Do not order the tuna tower appetizer. We expected seared ahi tuna and instead got shredded (ahi?) tuna scooped onto on crackers. It was way too much food and little flavor. Three of us ordered pork ossobuco. The meat literally fell off the bone, but the dish was mono flavored. None of the medley of flavors one would expect from this meal. The wine list was limited and I was disappointed by the wines we ended up ordering. Our server was great, but he couldn't save the experience. If you are staying near the South End of Duval definitely stop by for drinks, music and conversation, but with so many good restaurants in the area resist the temptation to dine here.
(3)Dana S.
Outside bar was perfect for having a drink with some friends last Friday night. Our bartender (can't remember her name, perhaps Tanto or Toto) was very pleasant and made us a great espresso martini. Didn't try the food, but the menu looked great!
(4)mark C.
We went on Feb 7th. Sat at the bar area street side. Food was excellent as was the service. Highly recommend.
(5)Tom T.
Pretty spot for a drink but the food is awful.. It's a shame since the people running it are very nice, they just have no idea how to cook or run a restaurant.
(1)Leonardo I.
Decided to order cocktails and a few sliders for a quick dinner. The sliders were amazing. The melted blue cheese and fresh tomato and crisp lettuce were a perfect match. The cocktails, however, left a lot to be desired. We ordered a mojito and a key lime martini. The mojito was watered down and left me wondering if the bartender forgot to put any alcohol in it. I basically paid $9.50 for mint water. The key lime martini was...interesting. It had graham cracker powder on the rim, which left a gritty feel in my mouth. It's flavor profile tasted like key lime pie, but it, too, was on the weak side. Overall, the waitress was attentive and cordial. We sat outside and liked that as well.

This was our first stop on the Key after we checked into our hotel. We arrived around 12:30pm, so we were seeking a nice place for brunch. Our first journey down Duval Street took us by La te Da. This was a restaurant/bar attached to a hotel. The menu posted at the entrance looked appealing. We were hungry, so in we went! We were seated outside, under an umbrella with a view of the pool on one side and Duval Street on the other. My wife chose the salad with fresh fruit: a generous assortment including strawberries, mangos and sweeted, sliced almonds. She raved about it! I chose the Eggs Benedict, with applewood smoked bacon bits. This was absolutely delicious. What impressed me most was that it was piping hot! - freshly made and rushed to my table! I liked that! Our server was attentive and the prices were very reasonable - a nice brunch for just under $25 (before tip). A nice start to our culinary adventures!
(4)Robby H.
Great show. Not your typical lip sync performance, this guy sings his own vocals and changes his costumes on stage. The house management is disasterous. Get there early and wait for your seat. After arriving very early they told us we had a table and could walk around until showtime but our seats were given to others and we had to sit in the very back where you could barely see. Great show, horrible management.
(2)Matthew P.
Totally awesome place! Loved it! Food is amazing!!! This is a must do while in Key West!
(5)Michele R.
Bartender was awesome - very helpful with local suggestions. The gazpacho, pork dumplings, and chili con queso were fantastic. We didn't eat anything but small plates but everything was really good - the bartender also makes an awesome espresso martini, HIGHLY recommend!
(4)Linda O.
La te Da..... La te Don't .....service at the bar was terrible. Weak drinks, forgetful Bartendar who acted as if we were putting him out. Will not return when we visit Key West.
(2)Bfa F.
Beautiful ambience with an interior court and pool. Terrible food. Pre-frozen shrimp and lobster ravioli in Key West? You have got to be kidding. For the client to eat local, the restaurant needs to buy local. Probably a new chef would help too.
(2)Steve P.
Overpriced - $4.50 for coffee with no refills! It wasn't special coffee or espresso. The meat lover's omelette was pretty standard fare, but the potatoes were very greasy. It has lost much of its charm even from the last time we were here in 2008. Sorry to see the place slip into mediocrity.
(2)Alexis F.
What a charming little restaurant! Located on the quiet side of Duval Street, the outdoor dining area looks like an enchanted garden. The food is delicious and they serve the best Cosmopolitans. Will definitely return!
(5)Vicki H.
We enjoyed the small burgers they sell off the bar menu. Good basket of French fries too. Very friendly bartender on the evenings we were there. Made us feel welcome.
(4)Matthew P.
Three years ago was better. The return was a bit of a let down, because La Te Da is a lovely spot, but they seem to be resting on laurels. This is really a 3.75, but I need to register my gripes with a lower rating as a wake up to management. On the positive side: The food is generally good: Spicy Tuna Tartare, a delicious meatloaf with smothered mushrooms, a so-so shrimp scampi (but the pilaf was buttery and tasty), and they serve one of the best slices of Key Lime Pie for dessert. I never get an iceberg wedge, but never say never. It's really good with the best bleu cheese dressing and smoked bacon. You dine in an outside enclosed area, poolside downstairs, or in a luxe Southern style upstairs. There's human heaters to keep away the cool night breezes in the winter. It's a nicely decorated space that's connected to a lively bar with people dancing to live lounge/cabaret music. On the negative side: Humorless, slow service. It's kind of a buzz kill. Terrible coffee (dishwater?), and the bar lacks some of the basics (no good Tequila, nor Pisco). The sugar packets on the table were damp. After dinner, the drag show is a fun night out.
(3)Ryan R.
Walking back and forth along Duval, let's be honest - you see a LOT of restaurants. Something about La Te Da was so enticing...a nice outside bar, the drag shows, the classy yet casual atmosphere. I felt drawn in, and so we made a reservation. Boy, was I disappointed!! There were some great things about La Te Da for sure. The hostess was an absolute doll, asked us which table we'd prefer and made pleasant small talk. The inviting ambiance is a major plus. And the food STARTED off well enough. I had the Island Passion salad and it filled me with island passion!!! The Tuna Tartar tower was also really excellent and a LARGE portion so you get bang for your buck!! And then the chicken came out. Some sort of Tahitian vanilla deboned chicken. I can get better chicken at KFC. It had NO flavor, and the edges were dried out and overcooked. The mashed potatoes had the consistency of the flakes my mom used to dump into a pot, add butter and milk and viola - "mashed potatoes". Serves me right for ordering chicken in Key West. Wrong on so many levels.....Maybe I'll chalk this one up to my fault.
(2)Howard N.
Just had drinks here with friends who have been coming for years. Dirty glasses and a surly bartender. Apparently the owner died awhile ago and the place is doing a slow slide into oblivion. Bad wine. Bartender didn't know the word "corked", but he did replace. Bar was covered with used glasses.
(1)Gina M.
Horrible selection of red wine...first glass tasted 'off', bartender was gracious enough to offer a different one, second one was just as bad...could be the storing of bottles outside ??? Won't be going back.
(1)Rory B.
An all around cool place. Nice place to stay. Good food with a couple of bars, one outside overlooking Duvel St. and one inside that is a really fun spot with entertainment, dancing and a good bartender. We usually stay someplace up by the Southernmost area and this is also a great" late night " stop for us. Some of the wait staff need polishing. No different than most other places. It's a must do drop in when in town... Tell them Roryblane sent you... oops one more thing.... no cigar smoking
(4)Krsna V.
One night, while staying in Key West, we decided that we will eat at a nice sit down restaurant instead of the casual places. Don't take me wrong, I love casual places but, we needed a change. We found La Te Da while walking on Duval. It seemed like a nice place with semi-formal to formal atmosphere. The place bills itself as fine dining in a casual atmosphere but, everyone here (except for one couple) were dressed formally. We ordered the beef wontons for an appetizer and they were tasty. I went for the prix fix menu and my partner ordered the snapper. My prix fix menu came with gazpacho soup, spicy shrimp over polenta, and key lime pie. The gazpacho was spicy and served in a martini glass, just the way I like it. The shrimp were big and spicy and the polenta was rich and buttery. The key lime pie was excellent....with a almond crust and chantilly cream. His snapper was good too. It was a nice change of pace from the regular eating. We sat outside, sipped on champagne and enjoyed our food. The outdoor seating area is nice with curtains and huge gas burners for those chilly evenings. Service was attentive and our server was cute. It was a nice experience overall but there was no "wow" factor.... hence, the minus one star.
(4)Jason R.
Can't speak to the food, but outdoor bar staff was great! Drinks were priced right, mixed right and lots of laughs and banter.
(5)Daria M.
The food was surprisingly good though accompanied by very mediocre service. It felt as if they wanted to get rid of us the minute we were served food. On numerous occasions waiters came up to our table and wanted to take our plates that were still half full. Still, the food made up for the flaws of the staff. We moved to the piano bar section and he barkeep was very friendly and knowledgeable and kept us entertained together with a singing duo. All in all we had a good time and prob be back.
(4)Jame F.
My friend had a Hendricks Martini paired with the Spicy Tuna Wonton Tower which she says is excellent. The ginger jam delivered just the right amount of spicy which combined with cool smoothness...a perfect balance. My Classic Blue Cheese Wedge was served with fresh grilled shrimp which were slightly overcooked. The dressing was creamy and delicious and was a compliment to the generous wedge...cool and refreshing! We finished with a slice of home made fresh in La Te Da's Kitchen... Key Lime Pie with Chocolate Ganache Bottom and a very hard...uncuttable graham cracker crust. Tart and disappointing. Also, it took 10 min. for dessert to arrive. Thumbs down for food delivery time and not so good pie. Thumbs up for tasty apps and EXCELLENT service from bartender Jason! We ate at the bar but the dining area is open and airy...classy place on Duval. I'll go back.
(4)Kevin O.
A fantastic restaurant. First night on the island just looking for someplace nice and casual and stumbled on this. I had the ravioli but in my party one had steak and one had fish and everyone loved it. The service was also fantastic. Made you feel right at home and gave great suggestions. We sat outside which is actually great (I am not a big outside sitting guy) but it was great because at least at this time there were no bugs. Overall, I would definitely go back again. Really enjoyable.

I hate to do a poor review for a place whose food we didn't even try, but the experience before we could even get to that point turned us off La Te Da. Other people might go and have an amazing time, but our experience with a server really soured us. Four adults and a very well-behaved 3 year old went here for dinner on Thanksgiving night. We were taken to a table that wasn't ready for us. This was a little puzzling because we had a reservation for 5:30(again, traveling with a 3 year old), so it's not like it was a surprise that we were arriving, but the table had to be set up and arranged. The hostess was lovely, though, so we sat down and started looking at the menu. It took only about 10 seconds before I got a whiff of the unmistakeable odor of garbage. I wasn't going to say anything because I thought I was being overly sensitive. When the odor got stronger, I saw my tablemates had noticed it, too. We all agreed that we smelled garbage and would ask the server when he came over if we could move to a different table. Over 5 minutes passed from the time we were seated until our server came over to acknowledge us. Again: we were the only people in the restaurant, so it's not like he was slammed. He offered no explanation for his delay, but we still weren't upset. We politely told him that all four adults had noticed the smell of garbage and, if it wasn't too much of a problem, we'd like to switch tables. Rather than saying he was sorry and OF COURSE we can move you (and figure out where the smell is coming from), he made a big scene of looking all around the table for the offending odor and then went and dug through the trash can before walking back and telling us that he didn't smell it and couldn't find it anywhere. We all still smelled it. And, again, instead of offering to move us, he stood there shaking his head that he couldn't find the odor. It was at that point we decided to cut our losses, not pay $200 for dinner and the pleasure of smelling garbage, and left. On our way out, to her credit, the hostess seemed horrified when I explained why we were leaving and tried to get us to stay, but we were really turned off by the server. I can list on one hand the restaurants I've walked out of like this in my lifetime, so it's not my usual M.O. It's too bad.

My husband I and I frequent Key West approximately 2-3 times a year. Our first stop is always to see Doug at La Te Da. He makes hands down the best Bloody Mary around! We have also enjoyed breakfast there I would recommend it to any one around. Very friendly and fun atmosphere. We will always go back!

Great breakfast. We received it with our night's stay at the hotel. The food was delicious and just the right portion. The staff was friendly and always kept the water glasses fulls. Thank you!!

We attended Randy Robert's 'Vegas' show upstairs and danced in their bar downstairs and had a blast!! Didn't eat there though, so my review doesn't reflect that aspect of this wonderful venue.

Been coming here for years & it seems the kitchen has lost its passion. Food was mediocre at best. Apps of scallops were over cooked & tuna tartare was more like tasteless tuna meatballs. Dinner entrees were brought out cold & pretty boring. Service is still great & love the staff here. Location is great, but with so many choices along the strip I would recommend something else with better food for the money.

This was a great find, thanks to our Yelp family! I recommend sitting on the outdoor patio deck next to the pool. They had live entertainment in the bar area, the lighting, decor, was all fabulous, the service was good, but the portions were very tiny (or maybe all the key west activities left me starving).

Had a good lunch there. Great conch bisque and fish Reuben were both excellent. House Chardonnay and service both fine.

We had the filet and chicken.. It was just ok.. Not worth the price. Expected more flavor for the price.

One of my favorite spots in KW!!Great atmosphere, awesome, friendly staff! Food is always amazing, I have never been disappointed! Martinis are also fantastic if you are a martini lover! Enjoy!

Surprisingly good food & bad service. The place is cute though, carries more of an adult vibe than the other restos on the block.

We had the Prime Rib special and it was fabulous. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. Also stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the breakfast both days. The french toast was heavenly. Very friendly and attentive staff

Tuna Tartare and Key Lime Pie :) Not too many places where you can dine and party at the same establishment. Loved the piano bar. So fun. I will always come here, when in the Keyes! My Mom and I had so much fun sipping on martinis and singing. SOmething for everyone!

The perfect spot for an afternoon martini, especially if Fat Tuesdays is not your idea of a quality drinking establishment. Big blue cheese olives in a perfectly made filthy martini (the bartender's words) I also love that they include a sidecar on ice with your martini, so really each one is like having 2, and it is kept chilled. The food looked good too, though the prices seemed a bit on the high side.

I highly recommend the spicy pink vodka conch bisque ... if you like spicy , its just the right amount. It's a must everytime I'm in key west.

The first night we got to Key West, we decided to go this restaurant on Duval to try their seafood. We ordered scallops with some sort of ham/bacon on it, which was ok, a bit too cold, but tasty. We had their shrimp, which was huge and good, and a fish dish, which was pretty good, other than it being a little oily (or too buttery). However, they had the best Key Lime pie on the island and their service was great. The wait staff was friendly.
