What a phenomenal experience. The hotel was able to accommodate our early arrival (we called prior). Our room was immaculate!! We stayed in the Parlor room. The hotel is down the street to Duval. Centralize to everything. The hotel had happy hour from 4pm-6pm in the back patio. I sipped on red wine while I had my feet in the jacuzzi. It's lush trees gives the back patio tranquility. Staff member Cindy was the sweetest. She made sure all her guest needs were taken care of. We have found our home away from home. We will definitely stay here when we come to Key West!!

Awesome location. Awesome room. Great staff. We've been to key west before, but experienced it a whole new way this time around. The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful and even booked a lot of plans and reservations for us. Room was comfortable and gorgeous. Although the bathroom was a little small (knew this prior to booking) we loved spending our time here. Really friendly residents and just an all around great experience.

Great spot right off Duval (literally, like a block down), but far away enough that you can't hear all the noise. My hubby and I came here for my birthday weekend (partaaaay) and absolutely fell in love with this place. Yes, it's pricey, but the service and the experience is so personal and on another level; It really feels like you're staying at someone's house. They have bug spray and spare umbrellas you can use, for goodness sake! Where else are you going to find that? The staff is great and really friendly. There's also a complimentary happy hour in the afternoons. They set up beer, wine, sodas, and chips. You can either get your drank on outside in the backyard patio, or set up shop on one of the porches. Simply divine! And although I was hoping for some paranormal activity (as this place is "haunted" by the infamous Robert the Doll), I got none. Damn that holy water my husband sprinkled in the room!

My wife and I decided to go to Key West for our honeymoon. It was our first time in Key West and we're glad we chose to stay at The Artist House! We were in the sun room, which was small as the web site photos indicated, but it was perfect for our needs. The mini-fridge, coffee maker, and microwave in the room were nice bonuses. There is also a flat-screen tv. Quick story: Our second day there we came back to our room in the evening and noticed a strong foul odor in room. Kind of musty/moldy. We figured out the smell was coming from the air conditioner which was extremely dirty and moldy. We didn't really want to complain but we figured the mold wasn't a good idea to be breathing in, so we told the young woman at the front desk the next morning. She apologized and said someone would take care of it for us. When we got back that evening, they had done an excellent and thorough job of cleaning the a/c out. We walked into the room and it was nice, fresh and clean smelling. What a relief! They were very attentive and apologized for the a/c several more times afterwards, even though it wasn't necessary. There was a problem, and they fixed it, simple as that! The breakfast every morning was yummy - juices, coffee, cereal, toast, bagels, various pastries, even champagne! We didn't actually take advantage of happy hour because we were out and about most often, but we did see the spread they put out and it looked fabulous - a few different kinds of beers and various snacks. The woman who put out the meals and cleaned the rooms was very pleasant and did a great job (I'm not sure of her name.) Whoever was at the desk at various times was very helpful - whether it was booking a trolley tour for us, recommending restaurants, or calling the ferry company for us to confirm boarding procedures - they were all very pleasant and helpful. They even let us store some donuts in the fridge on our departure day so they wouldn't melt. When you stay at a B&B you do so for the little details and the personalized experience, and they made us feel at home during our stay. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Artist House!

I've stayed in the Artist House for nearly a week now in the Parlor Suite. I really like it! The house was built sometime in the 1800s, and thus has some elaborate features, with tall ceilings, nice crown molding, etc. Any old house has that stuff, but what makes Artist House great is the ability to seamlessly combine the old style with modern design touches that make this place comfortable and fresh. They also have a free breakfast and even happy hour. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again!

Well, lets just say that I may talk big, but when it comes to haunted locations... I freak myself out. We stayed here for a few nights and accompanied it with a Ghost Tour (visiting the famous Robert the Doll)... and from there on out, I had troubles sleeping. Yes, this is Robert's house if you were wondering... and while the rooms were lovely, the staff was super nice, and there's a nice little pool/hot tub in the back... the place is apparently haunted. I didn't actually see anything, but I was mildly uneasy the whole time. My husband slept soundly though. I would recommend it, just skip visiting Robert and you'll probably be better off than I.

Great B+B. Classic Key West Victorian style with some modern amenities. Free breakfast and happy hour. One block off Duval St. Stayed in the Anne suite = Fantastic! Beware of Robert the Doll... lol (Google it). Highly recommend this place!
