Very disappointing. We took my mother for her birthday so our visit was a special occassion. The food was clearly warmed up. It was not made to order. The beef Wellington was heated in a microwave. There was steam when the pastry was opened and the pastry was very soggy. The chicken was not special. Crabcakes were also less than tasty. Drinks were good as were the dessert soufflés. We should have skipped everything in between. Too expensive a restaurant for pre-cooked food.

It's rare for me to take the time to write a review, in this case I am compelled to do so because of two separate visits, both with the same results: disappointment. The drinks - good, the soufflés - superb. My recommendation is to pass on the rest. Although I have read claim that the food is prepared to order it is not It is however, reheated to order. This process is fine for soup but not for Wellington, Bistro chicken or other main course entrées. First class price, third rate food.

What a pleasant surprise our visit to the Bistro was! My wife and I usually eat at the bar as we did tonight. We were greeted by Allison the bar tender. She was pleasant, polite and engaging. We are new to the area and Allison had plenty of great local tips for us. She also made a great martini. Allison made some suggestions and happily too my wife's custom order for a pasta dish. They start you off with a basket of fresh hot bread and a trio of butter, garlic and rosemary infused oil and the kicker, house made Pâté'. Delicious!! I had the three course dinner which consisted of crab cakes, seared tuna and a beautiful chocolate soufflé. All very tasty and expertly prepared. We will definitely be back.

Went here last night for dinner. The wine list was wonderful, lots of by the glass options in addition to the extensive bottle list. The service was just how I like it, attentive and well-paced, but not trying to be your best friend. My water glass was always full. Bread in the basket was nice and toasty, the chicken liver pate was a nice touch. I had the beet salad, which came out just how I would have expected. Dinner was the mussels (daily special). These mussels were huge and served on the half shell topped with gigantic chunks of lobster. A seriously fantastic dish, I cleaned my plate! Coffee and key lime pie were also outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Jupiter area, perfect dinner.

My wife and I just wanted light fare and nice bottle of wine. Bistro suited us well but a little pricey for 2 salads, split the Gran Marnier soufflé which was very good, chocolate was also offered tonight. Service was delightful and not rushed, our waiter brought us a sample of the Crab bisque which was not overly creamy and delightful, we couldn't decide to have soup or not. Excellent but pricey wine list, we had 08 House special Mondavi cab for $44, actually very nice and served at correct tempature from cellar. Service was very good and above average. Chicken well flavored but a little dry on Caesar salad. Bistro salad my wife loved. Pricey but good food, atmosphere and service.

I don't know what the fuss is about. I feel the dishes are dated, tasteless and the food was poor quality. Lamb chops were fatty and chewy. Service was slow and poor. Prices were steep and unjustified.

After being recommended by several friends, my wife and I decided to try The Bistro on the spur of the moment at 5:30 on a Friday night. We too were greeted warmly and immediately seated. They have a good selection of wines by the glass as well as a more comprehensive selection by the bottle. They also have a Prix Fixe menu until 6:15 which contains a selection of items from the regular menu, but cheaper. My wife was immediately put off by the $7 Sharing Charge posted prominently on the menu. We have found that we don't have room for full portions and have gotten used to sharing the entree along with a selection of appetizers. We ordered two glasses of Pinot Noir, the Wedge Salad, Spinach Mushroom Ravioli and the Veal Escalope. The wine was very good, but we were disappointed with the food. Presentation was nice, but both the Ravioli and the Veal were dry and less tender than we expected. Maybe uncharacteristic, but there are better places for the price range.

Very personally run, and shows in attention, staff and food. Owner there most nights and typically visits each table. This is my parents favorite place and they recommended that my wife and I go. We mentioned this to the owner and he not only remembered my parents, but my aunt and uncle that they brought in the year before. This guy is good and makes sure the staff is too. A trip or two ago we took the kids and asked to split a burger. Each half came on a separate place with a full serving of fries, etc, no sign of concern on their part for how we chose to order or eat. Refreshing to find this still!

I like the Bistro. The atmosphere is great; cozy bar, outdoor seating and friendly staff. I have always found the food to be very good; nothing to rave about but certainly above average. My wife LOVES the Lobster Ravioli; I find if a bit heavy. The Chocolate Souffle is a keeper. Overall, I will keep returning because I like the Bistro.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars and just leave a negative review. Or even a separate review for how amazing the food is and to spare the chefs hard work. However, the service was so unbelievably terrible. I don't have enough room here to stress just how bad, but trust that I am a former fine-dining server, so my critique is just. For one, our server, Megan, was cold, impatient and rude. She neglected to keep our water glasses filled, left trash on the table, and left several empty plates. All this despite walking past our table often and me pushing everything to the end of the table to try to help. She also charged us for an entire bottle of wine we never ordered. Did I also mention she was rude? All in all, awful service outstanding food.

We eat there about 3 times a year and know the owner slightly. We had friends who wanted to take us out for dinner and we suggested Bistro We had a nice dinner but the staff kept trying to rush dinner. Before the dessert was finished the owner came over to our table and asked if he could have the table back because people were waiting At first we thought he was kidding but he said we could go to the bar and have a drink on him We left the restaurant wondering WTF We thought about it and felt that it was a shameful thing he did and will not give his business anymore of our money

Our meal was delicious & well prepared. Salad fresh and crisp. We split the salad and it was still too much. Service was very attentive. One suggestion , we all ordered steak either tenderloin or strip, which was served on a white dish with 2 very starchy sides, both white, creamed corn and twice baked potato. Being a diabetic and into nutrition, 2 very starchy sides should never be served together at same time. A green vegetable (not starchy peas) would be more nutritionally appropriate. In addition with the white dish and the white sides, the beef seemed just plopped down with no thought to an appetizing appearance on the plate. The beef was tender and done to perfection. Pricey.

perhaps we were late for dinner in the area people go to sleep at 9pm, we arrived at 8:15pm and the waiter seems annoyed already, I have a little dog with me so we sat outside, the courtyard setting is nice but I soon got bit by mosquito like crazy, 15 minutes later I asked the waiter to please turn on the fan, eventually I could enjoy my dinner without jumping all over, well I got 10 bites already! my husband ordered a fillet mignon and I ordered a veal entre, we both started with a salad and he had a glass of wine. The food tasted relatively bland and I do not think there is anything special would draw me back to this place, especially with a $92 bill including tax and tip plus 10 bites. It would seems a resonable price for their food if you eat before 6pm, get a 20% discount. With all the advertisement about how many awards this restaurant obtained in the past, I must confessed it is far below my expectation.

Solid 3-star, but nothing more. They have the best Dover sole in the area, and fish and chips are good as well. Stray too far from those and its a gamble - especially at these prices. Very gracious hosts, and service our last time was professional and crisp. Caesar salad (which I order frequently since its a pretty good benchmark) was more than enough with just the 1/2 portion - the regular portion comes in a boat and is enough for three. I'm guessing that the average patron here (age ~75+) like their salad under-dressed and without much flavor: no hint of anchovy (even though there was one ON the lettuce) or lemon...as though risking either of those would result in a flurry of AARP cardholders sending salads flying back to the kitchen. Hey, its your business - not mine. Lobster ravioli would have benefitted from a lighter pasta and better presentation. Even a cliche dusting with chives would have made it infinitely more appealing - instead it comes with a less-than-appetizing orange-colored sauce. The taste was good (not great), but it would have tasted better if it looked better - even home cooks know that. Fish and chips are executed well, but I could have had two orders of the same caliber at another, less expensive venue. I will say that the food is dependably good - not great - but its also quite pricey, which is why it gets only three stars.

The Bistro offers very good French- American food in a formal dining room atmosphere, casual outdoor plaza seating, elegant high-top tables and a charming bar. Whether you are eating solo, as a couple or a group the staff make you feel welcome.

We went here on New Year's Eve with a large group, and they were more than accommodating. Our group ordered lots o' wine and we had a prix fixe menu, but with more than sufficient options. You got to pick an appetizer or salad and a main course. I got the Yellowtail with a terrific sauce, my daughter got the Lobster Ravioli, another got a great filet, my mom got the sea bass. A few others were ordered as well. They have an adorable outdoor area with a bar, tables and usually live music. The scene is very geriatric, very Florida, but it's super close to my house and the food is worthy of many return visits.

The food was really good and the service was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the greek salad with added chicken. The presentation was beautiful and had the taste to back it up. It was pretty busy, but we were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. I would love to come back when it is warm enough to dine outside. Indoors, the atmosphere is nothing particularly enticing to me. . . they may have had a lot to do with the fact that I'm pretty sure my siblings and I were the yougenst folks in the joint by 30 years.

Had a very lovely meal here recently ---the soufflés are especially fantastic. Our service was quite good and the food was very well prepared. It's a much older and stuffier crowd here and definitely a seasonal restaurant. I think the price point is way off the mark and perhaps if it were slightly less expensive they would have a better year round clientele. However the food was quite delicious and we will probably return in season at some point.

This is the perfect place to have a drink and dinner at the bar. It is just the right size, not too loud, not too crowded, and not too many TVs. We had a big group for dinner at one of the high top tables in the bar. The service was great and they had some quality beers on draft too. I had the filet for dinner and it was solid. Our friends from Juno Beach say that The Bistro (and Ke'e Grill) are their two favorite dinner spots.

Seared tuna beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Good salad with honey mustard dressing. Fine Grand Marnier soufflé. Decent house Pinot. Quiet, unassuming atmosphere. Quibbles: restaurant of this quality should never serve salt butter in their (good) breadbasket, which comes with nice housemaid pate (why not just serve margarine? Yuck.) Prix fix (sic!) menu should not make you pay three or four extra dollars for several entries; otherwise the price is not fixed, right? And the $7 sharing charge is ridiculous. But experience is of high quality and it's one of the better restaurants in the area. Wine Spectator citation well-deserved, though by the glass choices are quite limited under the circumstances. Bottles and cellar more for show for us plebeians, but is impressive and I'm glad to know it's there. Some issues at my table were sensitively and professionally dealt with by the excellent server. Nice Irish manager is from New City, New York (Rockland County), my hometown. Pleasure to see you!

We go to The Bistro four or five times a year. This is the best "go to" restaurant in the area. We try other places but we always seem to go back to the Bistro where we know we will be satisfied with both the food and service. To begin with, it has one of the most pleasant and relaxing dinning rooms around. My martini's were perfect in size, temperature and presentation. All the food choices we made were excellent. The lobster ravioli and the soft shell crab that I ordered were perfectly prepared and presented. My wife's lamb chops arrived rare, just as she had requested and were succulent and properly seasoned. Both the chocolate and Grand Marnier souffle's we chose for dessert were not only beautiful to look at but delicious as well. I look forward to my next visit to The bistro.
