The food is all VERY good pub fare and the atmosphere is clean and bright. It's a great place to bring family and friends but I do agree with others that the super high ceilings do not make this a great romantic night out locale

This has got to be the worst place in Jupiter! To start, I ordered a Cosmo. I was given a purple colored drink in a Martini glass. Cosmo's aren't purple. The Server had no idea what it was and said the bartender just made what she wrote down and she honestly didn't remember what she wrote down. Should have left then, but decided to stay and see if things got better. They didn't, it got worse. We ordered a blacken prime rib sandwich that was suppose to come with au jus and the crab cake dinner. The sandwich didn't have the au jus and was so well done and dry. The crab cake dinner didn't come with any sauce and when we asked they mentioned it isn't served with any. It was so dry, I couldn't eat it. The only thing we ending up eating was the French fries and the vegetables. Everything else was just too bad to eat. The prime rib was so tough you couldn't chew it. This place was so bad! We should have known by how empty it was on a Friday Night.

This place is good for a drink and nice dinner out as a couple or small family. Bedsides that don't expect to be accommodated properly for a large group. Management doesn't get the idea of a large party of 20; half of which have been in the biz for years. We went for a family dinner after a sad day and they expected us to sit at 5 different tables. after trying to make a reservation and they don't take them I was told they would be ready for us. Then the mod (manager on duty) decided to argue and make us(me who was trying to introduce new costumers) feel uninvited and belittled due to his miscommunication. If we where informed they don't seat that many we would have gone else where, but we stayed. The food and service was great but ownership and management SUCKS!!!!! So go and enjoy happy hour and know they don't get the whole large party or group events. So if planning something for more than five try else where and make sure if your using this app to still ask because apparently people can lie about there services. Also don't expect the management staff to treat you with a welcoming demeanor when what was expected is not met.

Waitress not know her beers at all ! Took a long time to get our drinks. Ordered Mussels whch were very good. It was a table of three, and devilered 2 slices of bread, really? Sauce was good, should have asked for more bread, but it woud take how long??Grouper fingers, all breading minimal fish, pieces that were breading only, no trace of fish. Frozen fish sticks have more meat. Fish dip, ground real fine and no flavor. Cup of chowder, great flavor, no clams and watered down, not thick what so ever. Spent $75, plenty to drink, least that was good. Mgmt need to look at the kitchen and what it is pushing out. Would not go back.

The Shipwreck Bar & Grill is located at Old Dixie Hwy at Alternate A1A in Jupiter where the "The Jupiter Crab Company" used to be. I've been there a only few times since the location has reopened so my opinion is more of an impression than a full review. Having said that, the menu is the standard pub fare and is somewhat limited. That's fine with me as long as the kitchen can prepare its entree's well. To that point, based on the number of times that I have been there, I have no complaints. A lot of places serve better seafood, but it is almost always a restaurant that specializes in seafood preparation and you will pay much more for their expertise and good name. The Shipwreck offers a fair selection at reasonable prices. Personally, when I go to a pub, it's usually to watch a game or just have a cold beer. The bartenders are very nice looking (read: D-cups) and are quick to bring your drinks. Some nights there is live entertainment inside which is a bonus. There are a couple of downsides to The Shipwreck Bar. Parking is not easy to find which is always frustrating. The management allows smoking on the upper deck bar area, and it seems to always have older men that chain smoke...so be prepared, or eat inside. I am astonished that any restaurant would still permit it, but sadly this one does. The second deck has good ventilation because it is open on three sides, and has additional fans, but stench is stench. I can recommend The Shipwreck on the basis of decent food, prices, and nice looking bartenders. If you enjoy eating indoors then The Shipwreck is even better suited for you. However, if you are looking for seafood that is expertly prepared to a gourmet standard, then you will be better off dining elsewhere.

We were seated and my husband's chair was wet. There was a pile of lettuce where I was suppose to sit. I had the Blackbeard Burrito, it was delicious. My husband had fish and chips. He asked for vinegar and the server vanished for 5 min. She came back with a cup of red wine vinegar. How can you have fish and chips on the menu and not have malt vinegar? My niece was still in the middle of eating and we were being asked if we wanted dessert.

Been here numerous times for food and cocktails. Slow service upstairs and poor overall food quality. The only edible dish on the menu, sadly, is the Captain's Wrap. Have a few drinks. Grab a bite elsewhere. There's way too many great restaurants to visit than put up with average / below average.

I am a Chef a passionate one so this review about this place is totally professional..Worst place ever!!!! Beware disgusting!!! Roaches everywhere. Workers are all dirty and out of their minds. Probably because the owner Scott is a pyscho who comes into the bathroom stall to see if you are on your phone. Or maybe they have cameras in the bathrooms. This is the worst place to eat and work. The so called Chef they call Rob is a real no body liar. I went on vacation for 5 days and when I come back my name is no longer on the schedule. I didnt get a call or any sort of disciplinary action at all no coach and counseling so verbal warning no written warning nothing. I come into work and no one can look me in my face. So i talk to Scott who said you are no longer needed because you had your cell phone in the bathroom. Really?? everyone else at shipwreck has there cell phone. So what ism are you using to take my job away sir.? My review of This place is the worst one i will ever give. I have honestly never worked in a place so disrespectful and unclean as this one in my life. Stay fAr far away from Shipwreck or else you may end up like all the other buried wrecks

There are a few good things on the menu like the zucchini sticks and prime rib. However, the service is terrible. We were at the outside, top bar and could have easily spent $100+. The bartender, Sandy, was not personable or friendly and did her best to avoid anyone that wasn't a regular. It took over 20 minutes for her to even glance our way. It took away from the meal. Like I said, our $40 tab could have easily been over $100, but no dice. I should have to push all of our glasses and dishes to the end of the bar and then still have to ask for service. Really sad.

Wow. Had the worst experience from service to food. Our waitress seemed unhappy. My child asked to substitute a side and she said that she doesn't have a button for that and said she can't do it. Really let the kitchen know. Then when she took our order, no choice ofsides was given to us. During the whole time no drink refill was offered. My son asked for sauce and she forgot that too. Food was dry and had no taste. We ordered ribs for adults (special), mozzarella cheese and chicken fingers for the kids. On the way out, I talked to the manager and the response was ok. I'm not going back ever.

Been there plenty of times, usually eating at the bar. Bartenders are all good and provide quick and efficient service. Draft beer is really cold and their burgers and steaks are reasonably priced and well cooked. Their grouper-in-a-bag and prime ribs are good as well. Nice place!

Take out order: called to place a takeout order and was told by the "owner", I had to go on line to place the order. When I explained I did not have access to a computer he said " sorry, can't help you". Then hung up the phone. Ive been in the restaurant business for over 20 years. If I treated a customer the way I was just treated by this guy Paul Thompson, (owner of this establishment), not only would my boss have my head, I'd be out of a job! Good job Paul! Ship wrecked you will be matte'!! Arrrrr.......
Entire dinner, including appetizers were bland. Very disappointing because the environment is very inviting. We ordered mozzarella sticks and conch fritters for appetizers. Blah! Zero seasoning and I don't think the fritters were even thoroughly cooked. Then for dinner I ordered the sweet potato crusted dolphin. I honestly think they boiled the fish, it was terrible. I'm one to always finish my plates but tonight I couldn't. The high light of my meal was the Blue Moon I was drinking.

I think the upstairs bar is far better than the food. I have eaten here three times and the food has been mediocre. The service was good. I had a steak just OK,fish and chips terrible. I don't remember the third. The food is inexpensive, many specials, but more of a bar destination in my opinion.

Place was packed but we didn't have to wait. Sat upstairs. Wait staff was friendly and attentive even though obviously busy. Food was awesome! Filet was suprisingly one of the most tender i've ever had,and cooked perfectly, lobster tail not over cooked as everyone else does, crab legs tasty. Would def go again. Noisey, but hey it was happy hour, and all the people around us were pretty happy!

Fairly good food. This place used to be Jupiter Crab Co. And had Ben abandoned for quite some time so it's good to return back to Jupiter and see something back up and running. Shannon was our server and she is not only pretty but very friendly. I had the portabella stuffed mushroom and the crabcakes inside was tasty. The entree was a Dolphin Grouper sandwich. Very flavorful. The atmosphere is very nice a s well. Kinda like dining in a pirate ship.

Awesome atmosphere seafood menu and great service. Came here with table of six. The first thing is this is a themed Resturant of pirates sharks and ships. There is a gift shop which sells Real ship wreck artifacts. The food we had was very good with the exception of the scallops which were ok but bland. I recommend the fried cod burrito dish which was terrific. The have nightly specials and drinks are reasonable. I love all the nautical decorations. It's like a museum. There is an upstairs porch bar accessible from the parking outside which had live music The place wax big crowded during peak season as many places are but there's no reason why not. We had a great time here

We had a late lunch and the place was empty and the service was great. After a very good Bloody Mary and a draft Yuengling beer we ordered lunch. I had a Cheeseburger nicely served on a good toasted roll with fries and lettuce, tomato and onion. The tomato needed the core removed, minor but shouldn't happen. There is a $5. food service tool called a Tomato Shark, might want to get one. The burger was large and served with two pieces of cheese but nothing special. My DC had the cheese steak. I've said before that the ingredients of a cheese steak if prepared with care is always good. Shipwreck's version is thousand of calories away from a real Philadelphia cheese steak but okay. Fries with both meals also were nothing special, not good, not bad. Bottom line is the place is beautifully decorated, has TV's throughout and is comfortable. Seems like a good place to drink and if hunger hits the food is adequate. We would return and try other items, just won't be a favorite for food.

I have been in shipwrecks many times. When it first opened....not so good. They have only gone up. Number 1. Food deals..lunches 6 bucks dinners 10 bucks. These arent small orders. Go on wed. night and have a rack of ribs slaw and great fries. 10.00. Are they the best ever....I have had them 6 or 7 times. Darn tasty. My favorite thing other than the food, is the service. Each time I go in I am pleased to see familiar faces. Staff that remembers our favorite drinks. Something rare also happens here...THE OWNER WALKS AROUND TO CHECK ON YOUR FOOD, SERVICE AND IF WE NEED ANYTHING ELSE.. Thats refreshing. Finish it off with desert and another "thanks for visiting, please come see us again. Very good food. Great staff. See you there tuesday evening for a lobster tail, veggies and fries....10.00.

From the start this was an exceptional meal and service. We had the special Grouper in a bag, excellent!! Our waitress, Brittany went above and beyond to make our dining experience very, very, pleasant. When I asked her where the restroom was, she took me and showed me, instead of just directing me. Everyone was exceptionally trained to provide very good service. The decor was fu, it was quite busy, but we were seated right away. All around us seemed to be happy diners, mostly getting the Grouper special or the steak special. The bartender was astute enough to fulfill my request for gluten free vodka with my favorite, Tito's. In case I didn't mention, great dinner. We would definitely return.

Place OK.. Just average! First time there I had the cheeseburger! Just a plain old typical frozen patty burger, nothing great but not awful.. Doesn't compare to the burgers at Tiki 52. The second time I ordered the grouper fingers... I wish I had ordered the frozen burger patty again.. Wasn't good at all. I do like the bar upstairs and Sue there is a terrific bartender and makes a good drink with a friendly smile. Went to the bar downstairs once and the air condition was nice! I had a mixed drink and it was awful. The bartender was very nice and made the second drink using another gun and it was fine.. Maybe they should look into that. While I was there I asked if the bartender could put the Stanley Cup play off game on one of the 7 TV's.. She told me only the manager was allowed to touch the magical TV remote and he wasn't there at the time. So instead of watching the Stanley cup playoff game we watched a bass fishing show, the movie field of dreams, Warren Sapp documentary and the golf channel.. That needs to change! All in all I do like the place and will go back just not with high expectations.. What's the saying? It is what it is

Wish I could give this 3 and a half stars. The food was a definite 4, but the location and huge room was a slight turn-off. Sometimes it's not about the food. It's the immediate impression and ambiance, right? Well, the dinners we ordered were delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was attentive and friendly! Great! There is an outdoor bar which was packed. Apparently, this is the place for 'happy hour' with half price drinks. My husband and I went inside for dinner. The indoor room was huge. Ceilings were 30 ft. high and the place is decorated very creatively, but the feeling is that we were inside a big ark, all covered in wood and very large. I guess that's why it's named "Shipwreck"? It wasn't a cozy dinner place, more informal, and we expected the prices to reflect that. The dinners were expensive, about $20 for grilled fish with vegetables. They did have less expensive, more casual items on the menu. My husband and I ordered fish dinners, and have no complaints about the food, other than price. Grilled and blackened, we each had grouper, with sides of roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables. I was impressed by the amount of vegetable since it seems most restaurants give very small vegetable portions. These were fresh and delicious, with zucchini, carrots and onions. The three small potatoes were roasted and tasty. The side salads for $2 were great, small but fresh with delicious dressings. I had the crab/Italian, a vinaigrette with chunks of crab. We probably will go back, but as one reviewer said, it's not a place for a romantic dinner. Go between 4 and 6pm for half price drinks and a casual meal.

This place has a lot to offer! They have an outdoor bar with live music and football on the TV. They have an indoor bar that is quiet and relaxed. They also have casual, friendly service for a place to eat. I'm glad this place is so close to me. I've been here to eat twice with my kids and both times they really had a great time. The waitress brings them treasure - some gold coins. They have a good kids menu, and the waitress we had tonight (LInzie) suggested to my daughter that she try a Shirley Temple (good call). The menu is pretty big too. I have a couple of things that I still want to try like the soft shell crabs and the crab cakes. The first time I went, I had the dolphin rueben. Tonight I had the seared ahi tuna wrap. Both were excellent and I got to have dinner for $10! There was also a lot of cool stuff for my girls to check out with the display of real treasure, stuffed sharks and sword fish hanging from the ceiling, and pirate ship decor everywhere. My only gripe is that I tried both times to get a half order of wings and they wouldn't do it. They were at least consistent in saying no, but I don't like hearing no. :)

Bad experience! The food was mediocre at best but even worse the owner was abusive to his staff in front of us and turns out he was completely wrong and never apologized. He had the young server in tears. I wouldn't come back here food was great which it certainly was not!

Food was okay. Baby back ribs were way undercooked and didn't fall off the bone. They offered to bring more out but the rest of the party was done eating. We got them to go, but no other deal was offered. I.e. Free dessert, etc. disappointed. :-(

Let's start with the hostess that didn't have the capability to smile and couldn't wait to get back to whatever was way more important on her cell phone. Now, let's discuss the Mahi sandwich. A pitiful slice of what was supposed to be Mahi (light brown Mahi??) on a greased down cheap bun with nothing else on it. Nothing! No lettuce, no tomato, no sauce, nothing! This is a seafood place?? We felt for our server. He was the only class part of this shipwreck.

I've been here plenty of times and by far the worst experience. Our server had ten tables on a Sunday night and nobody was helping her. After five minutes of waiting for a greeting, I saw the owner casually walking around the restaurant. I walked up to the owner asking if there was anyone to help and that I'm a server and I know it's not the servers fault. He sarcastically told me there is not another server in his pocket and there was nothing he could do. He asked me if I wanted to move to the bar, with no sincere apology. I didn't want to move to the bar because it was my stepfathers birthday, mind you my stepfather does not drink. The bar was not an option. Food is okay, but will never be returning. Apparently, my business, our business, is not worthy enough.

Very surprised - the interior was not what I expected seeing the outside. We both had the grouper-in-bag (parchment paper) and it was delicious. The house dressing for salad was a balsamic vinaigrette with crab meat in it. We tried the corn nuggets for an appetizer and there were very good.
(4)
Dave S.
Waitress was good but food service was slow...pretty sure this had to do with the kitchen and not our waitress...she was spot on. The Mahi sandwich would've been better but the top bun sat under the warmer too long and was brick hard. The tartar sauce was more mustard flavored, I couldn't eat it. Sweet potato fries were like steak fries and very good. They had a Rib special that was huge and tasty but didn't provide any extra bbq sauce and had to ask for wet naps. Ice tea cost more than the draft beer. Atmosphere was nice. Would be willing to try this place again for dinner.

Jupiter ambiance is great & lunch specials are good, BUT dinner menu is weak. Fish & chips are better at Long John Silvers. We also had coconut shrimp & grouper dinners which were okay--potatoes were only ok.

Great environment!! After touring the lighthouse with my family and parents visiting from Denver, we stopped in for lunch. Everything was delicious. The Dolphin Rueben and the Turkey Wrap were very large and very good. The staff was cheerful and kept our ice tea glasses full. Can't wait to come back.

Let me start by saying this review is based on a visit to a restaurant that had only been open a week or so..... We stopped in mid-afternoon on a Saturday. We saw the upstairs outdoor bar and we are always looking for places to recommend or take our out-of-state visitors. We were seated promptly inside (our choice) near the bar. The place is cavernous with TV's on the wall and ample seating. If it does well this place can hold quite a few patrons. We ordered two drinks and a water to start. We could directly see the bartender from our table. She had 3 guests at the bar. I mention this because the theme for the meal was slow service for no apparent reason. The drinks took about 10 minutes to reach our table. we ordered. My wife got the $13 lobster roll and I ordered the $10 prime rib sandwich. 25 minutes later the sandwiches appeared. My steak was seasoned well but the meat was placed on a plain white bun...no horseradish mayo, for example, or anything else for that matter...two pieces of plain bread. The flavor was fine but with a hint of imagination the sandwich could have been so much more. My wife's sandwich was disappointing. usually with a lobster roll you get a skimpy portion of lobster but that wasn't the case. The serving was appropriate but the sandwich had absolutely zero flavor. It looked good but was lifeless on the taste buds. We'll try a lunch again in a month and see if the food prep was just a bad day because I think the location and venue can really be a happening place but I wouldn't try dinner if the chefs (line cooks?) don't have more imagination than to serve a seasoned prime rib on a completely unadorned bun. There was a thimble full of au jus with the steak but this wasn't a French dip sandwich. I'll keep a positive thought for the place.

With the number of great restaurants in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens, this place has a long way to go. Slow service and mediocre food. We've tried to give Shipwreck a chance 3-4 times. This will be our last. Maybe they should have invested more in training and food quality than they did in decor.

The restaurant is nicely appointed, seems clean and the tvs are a nice touch to keep everyone entertained. We have never had any complaints about the food, but recently we left and felt a bit disappointed. Hubby and I both ordered grouper, one was baked and one was sautéed. Mine was good, but definitely pan fried and definitely NOT GROUPER. MY husband had some sort of non grouper fish that definitely tasted off. I ended up giving him half of mine, as I had a large piece. I don't mind eating a piece of fried fish, but I do mind when I am being sold grouper, and it ends up being something quite different. As a native, I know my fish and I don't like the feeling of being duped. Don't think I will ever order anything other than a burger here, again.

First time here. Our bartenter / server was Kristen. She is one of a kind. Great personality and aims to please. A rare find. Will be back soon.

Always a great time. We go several times a month and will continue to do so. Friendly staff, good drinks, and the food we've had had all been great.

Awesome place! Love the Pirate theme, and the bartender Sue is the best in the biz. Grouper in a bag is a must! Live music on Sunday was great.

Tuesday night special, at the Shipwreck, lobster tail dinner delight One lobster tail, potato, and veggie, $12.99 priced just right We had the house chardonnay and the dinners were great Good wine, good food, the makings of a perfect dinner date.

Food was really yummy! I had the grouper in a bag. Service was quick and the food came out pretty quickly. If you're near the area, I highly recommend coming by!

Went here for the first time Friday evening. Large menu. Service was quick and friendly. Food was nothing special though. Not bad but not memorable either. Very average and what I expected after driving by it for a while.

(4)Dave S.

Little seedy. Service was bad. Waitress really didn't have her stuff tog and kept saying that she has only been working there a month or so.
(2)Robert D.
