$46 plus a $9 tip seems way too expensive for two house salads and two bowls of plain pasta. Not sure why we didnt send it back... My pasta was supposed to have prosciutto, fresh tomatoes, etc... It was just pasta and red sauce. I can't give more stars. It was nothing special. It's a busy place (good sign) other food coming out looked great... I love the red wine bottles on each table (honor system, just tell your server how many glasses you drank) and fresh bread being pulled from the oven when we sat down. The bar area is also inviting. If you like Italian... give it a go, just be prepared to pay alot of $ for plain pasta. Maybe other food is prepared as promised.

I've been going here since I was a little kid. We had a great family dinner. Portions are definitely big enough to share. I had the penne ala vodka and it was yummy as always! Chicken Marsala is really good too. I wish they hadn't changed the way they do the roasted garlic but it was still pretty good. We also indulged on dessert. The cannoli and tiramisu were excellent. Very big and plenty to share.

First trip: A little awkward upon entry due to the fact we had to wait five minutes to be seated in a 75% empty restaurant. Host staff was A LOT friendlier when leaving than arriving. Waiter was ok. Service was on the slow side. He did have a lot of tables (6 - one being a 8 person birthday party and about 4 four person tables) so I'm being considerate of that fact. Sweet tea was some kind of flavored fruit concoction. ehh ... no thanks. Soup reminded me of Campbell's hungry man soup. I really enjoyed the lasagna. It was approximately a 25 minute wait for the entree. However, the lasagna came out extremely hot. It was a boiling mass of cheese and sauce filled to the rim of the large bowl it was served in. After consumption, I thought the lasagna had the right ratio of cheese, sauce, meat and lasagna noodles. It was on the more expensive side cost wise. The check was approaching $50 for the wife and I. Overall - decent experience.

Very disappointed, the food and service. It was friday evening around 6:45pm, we were promptly seated, but the service was slow and slower. Our server kept going to other guests and simply forgot about us I think. She got waters and after we ordered our dinner, she got us a basket of bread and oil/garlic - how about getting some plates? I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and hubby ordered Chicken Scarpariello and kids we got chicken fingers and fries. for $6.95 we got 3 pieces of over fried tenders and fries for 15.95 for the eggplant parmigiana - got overly cheesy, eggplant lasagna sorta thing - and pasta with marinara, and soup. They can't change pasta or switch the sauce to alfredo without upcharging! really!! Now the worst of all dishes was Chicken Scarpariello - it was exactly like one of the other reviewers described it - dried out sausage, overly cooked and hard as stone chicken mismashed with some greasy potatoes for $18.99 (we returned this as it was INEDIBLE and they did take if off the check) The manager did come out and say we can order something else but by that time, appetite was gone and it was 8pm - continued slower and slowest service, overall just spoiled the evening. We decided to pay and leave - Oh by the way, no water or bread were ever refilled. Thank you but no thank you - Never returning back

Something changed at Nicks. Nick's has been my go to Italian restaurant for years. When I have family or friends visiting from out of town, Nick's has been the place I take them. There's always a long wait, especially during season, but if you know when to go (after 7:30) it's not too bad and has always been worth the wait. However, I went there tonight and something just seems different. While the bar was spot on as usual, the table service was lackluster and indifferent. The food was surprisingly mediocre. My wife and I both thought that maybe someone new had bought the place. If so, they're doing it all wrong. Food and service has always been the hallmark of Nicks. Whoever was running the restaurant tonight has forgotten that.

A below average meal, pricey and all that with poor service included. Maybe if you know someone there it's a great place, but not for folks just trying it out. Four service strikes: 1) Bottle beer delivered without opening and no bottle opener; fortunately a spoon and college experience worked. 2) Hot tomato soup was served without a plate under the bowl. It was so hot the server spilled it on the guest's white pants. 3) All the hot meals were served and a cold salad plate was forgotten. Three of us waited for our fourth's salad to be made and served. Finally, we got our check and I pulled out the credit card....and waited...and waited.... So much time passed that I paid for the meal in cash and just left. For the meal, the bread was very tasty and crisp. The accompanying olive oil and roasted garlic had no flavor at all, though it looked like it should. The salad included with an entree was served in one little bowl for everyone. It had nice greens and peperoncinis. However, it was smaller than other similar places. The tomato sauce was bland and too sweet to my taste. The saltimbocca sauce was also flavorless with the only sage I found was that written on the menu. We had a late meal (around 8pm) on a Sunday night. The place had a good crowd. Maybe we're just regular pizza people and not cut out for tomato pie.

Horrible experience tonight. My wife and visited Nick's this evening for dinner . Had a problem with some of the food and had to deal with a poorly trained defensive manager. I had originally band Nick's years ago, however we had a pleasant experience six months ago so we thought give it an another opportunity . I ordered the Chicken Scarpiello. I regret not taking a pic but I will do my best to describe the dish. This dish was an insult to my sight as well as a plate of filth containing old chicken rib cage cartilidge. Flavored with marrow and chicken skin. The sausage looked to be scraps from the garbage. The dish also contained potatoes the were so over cooked they were really mash potatoes. All of this in a congealed sauce of decomposition. The waitress assured me this is how Nick's prepares the dish. Really disturbing . I ordered the lasagna and sent the dish back . Manager visited the table to assure my taste buds were wrong and its really a great dish . She then personally delivered Nick's special authentic Lasagna see photo A bowl of Grease and cheese . not sure where the pasta was I left the food ,paid the bill and will never return again . I don't understand the bad reviews here. Oh wait, yeah I do -everyone in the area is a crabby old fart. Anyways, this place rocks. They give you fresh roasted garlic which is really good to dip the fresh bread in -especially when you add it with extra olive oil and salt and pepper. Antipasto salad + the salad that your entre comes with = a perfect little appetizer to share with 4 ( I am in LOVE with their dressing! It's so impossibly good!) Rigatoni w/ ala vodka sauce is AMAZING (just add fresh Parmesan cheese and spicy pepper flakes and devour) Dirty martini was great. The Table wine is a nice touch. I'm thinking these disgruntled diners just don't know how to order here. But if you get what I got and you're still upset then idk what to tell you. PS our server as so sweet! Her name was Karen and she was a total doll! :)

I went to this charming little restaurant on a first date and truly enjoyed the authentic Italian food. I ordered the house lasagna - sauce was rich and meaty and the ricotta was perfect. The melted cheese on top was slightly tangy which I LOVE. My dinner mate ordered the manicotti and let's just say his plate was clean at the end of our dining experience. Me thinks that a good sign. Tip: make sure you ask for the bread with fresh garlic and olive oil. Delish! I also had a house salad with blue cheese dressing which was fantastically fresh. Paired with a beer, it was quite good. The company was superb, ambiance wonderful and the food was on point. Service was great as well and we were bid adieux by the owner as we headed out. Nice family owned touch!

I remember when Nicks owned many years ago. It was the hottest restaurant in town. The line of people standing out front circled the parking lot. Even with the long wait seldom did anyone leave disappointed. Over time it slipped wirh changes un ownership and eventually we lost interest and stopped going and we seemed to forgot about it. This evening we met a small group at Nicks out of convenience of the location. My expectations were not too high but I was willing to keep an open mind. In all honesty it does not match that glorious peak it held for many years ago but it was a great meal with great wait staff. We will be back.

I suspect this is not hand tossed pizza but premade pie dough with the fresh toppings. However I will be coming back for the pizza which has the different crust.

Nick's needs some help...35 min wait for some uninspired food. The place is called Nick's Tomato Pie but the Tomato pie is actually pizza. A real tomato pie has the mozzarella on the bottom and sauce on top. May need rename to Nick's Pizza Pie. The Ravioli's were the bright spot. Chicken Parm was decent but nothing to bring me back. Meatball not very good. Given the higher prices for just pasta not sure I get the crowd.

A good solid Italian restaurant with some loyal locals and fresh food..... My husband and I saw some favorable newspaper write-ups, so we decided to give Nick's a try. It was a pleasant experience. Our waitress came to us immediately to take our drink orders. Good sign. She returned with the drinks and a whole loaf of Italian bread in a white bakery bag, and a small dish of roasted garlic and oil. My mouth was salivating looking at the bag since I know and love good Italian bread. My father had an Italian deli in Brooklyn where I grew up, so the quality of Italian bread is important to me. I was somewhat disappointed to see the bread was a bland "supermarket" type variety, dry and not very appealing. On the other hand, the roasted garlic and oil was great. I don't want to make a big deal about the bread, but it wasn't Italian from a bakery as they made it appear. Still, the meal started off well with an attentive waitress and the roasted garlic. The dinners came with an included first course of salad or soup. On this particular day, the soup was escarole with sausage. Interesting offer but I'm not a fan of sausage in soups, so I took the salad as did my husband. Salad came out in one bowl, family style, and the house creamy Italian dressing was fresh and made on the premises as promised by our waitress. Second stage of the meal, also good. It seemed that most people around us ordered pizza, but we wanted to try the dinners. We both ordered a veal dish since that is something I wouldn't usually make myself. My husband had the Veal Marsala, with mushrooms and a thick, very dark gravy. I must say it was delicious! My husband loved it! It seemed to have a red-wine reduction type flavor, rich and flavorful. The veal portion was small and for the price we expected more. I had the Veal Florentine with fresh spinach and three cheeses melted on tomato slices. It was an interesting presentation and also delicious! The spinach was in fact, fresh. My only complaint was that at $21.95 there could have been more veal. The three small slices of veal were hidden by two tomato slices. (You can see my photos of the dinners.) Both main dishes came with a side of pasta which included, is a penne and marinara sauce. For an extra charge of $1.59 you can order any pasta with any sauce as a side. The side pasta dishes were small but more than enough with a full dinner. I had the penne with marinara and my husband had angel hair pasta with oil and garlic. Both were delicious and the pastas were cooked properly, al dente. We ate everything and passed on dessert and coffee. Although it was a good experience overall, and the food was good, I don't know if I'll return. There are many good Italian restaurants in the area and I'd have to really impressed to have a favorite place at this point. Perhaps their pizza is the best, but we didn't try that this time. I recommend that you give it a try and see for yourself. The locals seem to love it, and the restaurant was crowded so they must be doing something right!

This place has really gone down hill. Every Christmas for the past 15 years I've been coming to this restaurant. This year when we came December 28, they did not have any bread or cups for us to get water. We sat for an hour before receiving our salads. And another half hour before receiving our food. We were visiting Jupiter for a golf tournament. Went looking for a sports bar but spotted this restaurant. My husband thought it was a salad place but I thought probably pizza. We were pleasantly surprised at how cute the place was. The waitstaff were friendly too. We decided to sit at the bar to wait for our table and after seeing the energy of the waiters and the fun the customers were having we decided to eat at the bar. We met a nice couple and watched the Texas-Kentucky basketball game. Nick, the owner stopped to say hi and we asked him to just bring us something. We had a wonderful salad, mussels with a lightly spicy red sauce and a very nicely cooked and seasoned chicken Parmesan. This is one of those special local restaurants where the waitstaff cares and you will find a very nice meal. We will return!
Nicks has some delicious choices but the service staff can come off as apathetic. I know it sounds crazy but don't let this detour you. They have gluten free pasta options, yummy lighter faire Italian cuisine choices and a decent affordable wine list. Their dessert choices can also be devine, check for local chefs featured on their list.

Good food. Large portions. I had penne ala vodka with chicken - not as creamy as I anticipated but didn't stop me from clearing most of my plate. Hubby had meat lover pasta special which he said was good. Soup or salad comes with most entrees. Son's pizza was good thin crust NY style pizza - I stole a bite and would consider ordering it for myself next time, it was that good. But the highlight was the roasted garlic and fresh bread. Service was good but a bit slow. It's definitely an eat-in place when you have time - don't come here if you are in a rush.

Natalie D. from Chicago, IL., really over did her review of this place and MUST be friends with the owner's family. The food was atrocious and I have been going to Nick's Tomato Pie for years. I asked the hostesses on the way out if they had new owners and apparently the owner had a stroke and does no go in anymore. Whoever is running it now is going to run this, once awesome restaurant, into the ground. The staff seemed as if they didn't know what they were doing, the food was not even close to what it used to be. You get 4 scallops instead of 5 in the appetizer they had, you don't get the huge bowl of pasta in a nice dish, instead they bake it and put it inside another bowl. The Veal Saltimbocca had a brown gravy on it, like the kind you get in a buffet style restaurant, It was just all over bad, and the sad part is that it is so obvious that it's because of whoever is running it. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, might I suggest that you go back to doing whatever it was your male family member was doing before you all are out of a job. Call Gordon Ramsey, you all need help in a bad way. Definitely a nightmare. Oh, and in ending, was my husband's favorite Italian restaurant, but as we got in the car and drove away, he said "well my new favorite Italian restaurant is that place by Home Depot."

Like some other reviewers said, "I don't get." We recently moved to the area, and Nick's was on are list of place we wanted to try. It seems to be a busy place, so we thought it has got to be good. The place itself is cute inside, so we really thought we had found a new good spot. The service was so poor, we literally didn't even see our Server in the dining room most of the time we were there. She kept popping out from time to time from a back room. We ordered some wine and also asked for water. When my dinner came, chicken parm, which she recommended, it was so dry. I gave up trying to find our Server to get extra sauce and our water. Mid way through our meal we finally got our water and my sauce Our dishes were both so mushy. My husband ordered the chicken scarpariello, and it was so bland. Bad service and subpar food. We won't be going back.

Never had a bad meal here... And have eaten here lots and lots... They serve a roasted garlic with fresh bread, You dip the bread in oil and smear on the garlic and yummy. Fresh salad served family style is crisp and fresh. Then house wine, which is sold by the honor system is very nice. For the price it's great. The clams casino and the calamari are great, again fresh fresh... I sometimes get the pasta, pick out your pasta, your sauce and added veggies, shrimp, etc... Delish. The veal Marsala and chicken cacciatore are my other favs. Sometimes I order one for takeout, just to take home ;) Service is once I a while spotty, which results in cold food or it would be five stars.

I am extremely disappointed that I have to leave a negative review here, but my last experience here was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and has left me never wanting to return. We have eaten here dozens of times over the years and the food never disappoints. My recent issue was with catering, which I had never done before. I called 3 weeks before Christmas to ensure that they were open, that they were catering and I asked how far in advance I needed to place my order. The girl told me the day before would be fine. She emailed me the catering menu and I was set. However, I call the day before Christmas Eve ( as the catering was my dinner for Christmas) and was told they made the decision last week not to cater as they were too busy. I couldn't believe it. They wouldn't honor what they told me, and the order wasn't even big. Had another local restaurant not saved the day (with food equally delicious at half the price) our Christmas would have been ruined. The manager (she said she was a manager) was completely ineffectual and lacked any authority and had zero interest in fixing the situation. I am disgusted by their behavior and lack of customer service skills. If I acted at the same level at my job, I would be fired.

The prices are high, you will be pressed to find a meal for under $15 and the portions are very small. They search the food on the cheapest plates they could find and have dollar store silverware. Due to an estimated 1/2 hour wait for a table, we decided to eat at the bar on our 1/31/13 visit to Nick's. I was instantly taken back by the unfriendly bartenders working that night. We thought about leaving, but a customer next to us told us that the food is great, so stay put. Throughout our entire dinner, both bartenders were unfriendly & unattentive. I'm not sure that I've ever seen two guys look so miserable at their jobs. But...... luckily the guy that told us to stay was correct. The Chicken Parm was so good! I didn't even need my knife to cut it. It was so moist. And the surrounding sauce was so much tastier than most tomato sauces at other restaurants. I also had the house salad, which was pretty "standard fare." And I had a side of broccoli that was cooked nicely. My only other negative was the wine-by-the-glass selection. I think they could offer some better red wines to go with their excellent food. I would definitely go back to Nick's. But I will be sure to eat at a table, regardless of the wait time.
Made a reservation for 15 people. Showed up to a pretty full restaurant but didn't have to wait more than a minute to be seated. One waitress covered our orders. Without a pen and paper took our drink order and delivered every bodies drinks in a few minutes. We joked and said to ourselves that we bet she couldn't do that for our meal. She took what was a totally off the hook set of individualized orders and got it 100%. Totally amazing. We asked her if she had a recording device since she clearly didn't write a thing down - straight up memory. Outstanding waitress and great service from the minute we walked in. The meals - seven kids and eight adults worth. No one had a complaint. Food was great, from my vegetarian pizza with meatballs added, Zuppa di Pesche, homemade Gnocci's, spaghetti and meatballs, and some really great eggplant parmigiana. The only disappointment I had was with the cannoli desert, I personally didn't care much for the filling, I've had better. My wife had the tira misu which was pretty good. We'd definitely go back.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES!!! A family member who is deathly allergic to tree nuts and peanuts ordered the simple baby green salad with her dinner. After taking a few bites she began to feel ill and saw some items in the bottom of the salad bowl (hidden by the lettuce leaves) that looked suspiciously like chopped nuts. When asked, the waitstaff insisted "no nuts,", but we knew better. When they double-checked with the chef he said yes, of course. Walnuts. The menu didn't/still doesn't indicate any ingredients in the salad that can cause a life-threatening allergic reaction. My relative was rushed to the hospital where she was treated for several hours to control the anaphylaxis. Needless to say, the evening was ruined for all concerned - and was terrifying for her. It is unconscionable that any food service organization would be so negligent in not indicating major allergens on their menu, nor train their waitstaff to be familiar with the ingredients. Perhaps the laws are stricter in Mass., where we live, and where allergens are required to be listed on all restaurant menus - but WOW. Maybe it will take a patron dying from anaphylactic shock and an enormous lawsuit for these guys to realize how critical certain food allergies are. Nick's, regardless of the quality or taste of your food, you earned a huge F on this one. And know that our Jupiter-based family will not be returning any time soon...

Service was on the slow side. He did have a lot of tables (6 - one being a 8 person birthday party and about 4 four person tables) so I'm being considerate of that fact. Sweet tea was some kind of flavored fruit concoction. ehh ... no thanks. Soup reminded me of Campbell's hungry man soup. I really enjoyed the lasagna. It was approximately a 25 minute wait for the entree. However, the lasagna came out extremely hot. It was a boiling mass of cheese and sauce filled to the rim of the large bowl it was served in. After consumption, I thought the lasagna had the right ratio of cheese, sauce, meat and lasagna noodles. It was on the more expensive side cost wise. The check was approaching $50 for the wife and I. Overall - decent experience.

Very disappointed, the food and service. It was friday evening around 6:45pm, we were promptly seated, but the service was slow and slower. Our server kept going to other guests and simply forgot about us I think. She got waters and after we ordered our dinner, she got us a basket of bread and oil/garlic - how about getting some plates? I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and hubby ordered Chicken Scarpariello and kids we got chicken fingers and fries. for $6.95 we got 3 pieces of over fried tenders and fries for 15.95 for the eggplant parmigiana - got overly cheesy, eggplant lasagna sorta thing - and pasta with marinara, and soup. They can't change pasta or switch the sauce to alfredo without upcharging! really!! Now the worst of all dishes was Chicken Scarpariello - it was exactly like one of the other reviewers described it - dried out sausage, overly cooked and hard as stone chicken mismashed with some greasy potatoes for $18.99 (we returned this as it was INEDIBLE and they did take if off the check) The manager did come out and say we can order something else but by that time, appetite was gone and it was 8pm - continued slower and slowest service, overall just spoiled the evening. We decided to pay and leave - Oh by the way, no water or bread were ever refilled. Thank you but no thank you - Never returning back

Something changed at Nicks. Nick's has been my go to Italian restaurant for years. When I have family or friends visiting from out of town, Nick's has been the place I take them. There's always a long wait, especially during season, but if you know when to go (after 7:30) it's not too bad and has always been worth the wait. However, I went there tonight and something just seems different. While the bar was spot on as usual, the table service was lackluster and indifferent. The food was surprisingly mediocre. My wife and I both thought that maybe someone new had bought the place. If so, they're doing it all wrong. Food and service has always been the hallmark of Nicks. Whoever was running the restaurant tonight has forgotten that.

A below average meal, pricey and all that with poor service included. Maybe if you know someone there it's a great place, but not for folks just trying it out. Four service strikes: 1) Bottle beer delivered without opening and no bottle opener; fortunately a spoon and college experience worked. 2) Hot tomato soup was served without a plate under the bowl. It was so hot the server spilled it on the guest's white pants. 3) All the hot meals were served and a cold salad plate was forgotten. Three of us waited for our fourth's salad to be made and served. Finally, we got our check and I pulled out the credit card....and waited...and waited.... So much time passed that I paid for the meal in cash and just left. For the meal, the bread was very tasty and crisp. The accompanying olive oil and roasted garlic had no flavor at all, though it looked like it should. The salad included with an entree was served in one little bowl for everyone. It had nice greens and peperoncinis. However, it was smaller than other similar places. The tomato sauce was bland and too sweet to my taste. The saltimbocca sauce was also flavorless with the only sage I found was that written on the menu. We had a late meal (around 8pm) on a Sunday night. The place had a good crowd. Maybe we're just regular pizza people and not cut out for tomato pie.

Horrible experience tonight. My wife and visited Nick's this evening for dinner . Had a problem with some of the food and had to deal with a poorly trained defensive manager. I had originally band Nick's years ago, however we had a pleasant experience six months ago so we thought give it an another opportunity . I ordered the Chicken Scarpiello. I regret not taking a pic but I will do my best to describe the dish. This dish was an insult to my sight as well as a plate of filth containing old chicken rib cage cartilidge. Flavored with marrow and chicken skin. The sausage looked to be scraps from the garbage. The dish also contained potatoes the were so over cooked they were really mash potatoes. All of this in a congealed sauce of decomposition. The waitress assured me this is how Nick's prepares the dish. Really disturbing . I ordered the lasagna and sent the dish back . Manager visited the table to assure my taste buds were wrong and its really a great dish . She then personally delivered Nick's special authentic Lasagna see photo A bowl of Grease and cheese . not sure where the pasta was I left the food ,paid the bill and will never return again . I don't understand the bad reviews here. Oh wait, yeah I do -everyone in the area is a crabby old fart. Anyways, this place rocks. They give you fresh roasted garlic which is really good to dip the fresh bread in -especially when you add it with extra olive oil and salt and pepper. Antipasto salad + the salad that your entre comes with = a perfect little appetizer to share with 4 ( I am in LOVE with their dressing! It's so impossibly good!) Rigatoni w/ ala vodka sauce is AMAZING (just add fresh Parmesan cheese and spicy pepper flakes and devour) Dirty martini was great. The Table wine is a nice touch. I'm thinking these disgruntled diners just don't know how to order here. But if you get what I got and you're still upset then idk what to tell you. PS our server as so sweet! Her name was Karen and she was a total doll! :)

I went to this charming little restaurant on a first date and truly enjoyed the authentic Italian food. I ordered the house lasagna - sauce was rich and meaty and the ricotta was perfect. The melted cheese on top was slightly tangy which I LOVE. My dinner mate ordered the manicotti and let's just say his plate was clean at the end of our dining experience. Me thinks that a good sign. Tip: make sure you ask for the bread with fresh garlic and olive oil. Delish! I also had a house salad with blue cheese dressing which was fantastically fresh. Paired with a beer, it was quite good. The company was superb, ambiance wonderful and the food was on point. Service was great as well and we were bid adieux by the owner as we headed out. Nice family owned touch!

I remember when Nicks owned many years ago. It was the hottest restaurant in town. The line of people standing out front circled the parking lot. Even with the long wait seldom did anyone leave disappointed. Over time it slipped wirh changes un ownership and eventually we lost interest and stopped going and we seemed to forgot about it. This evening we met a small group at Nicks out of convenience of the location. My expectations were not too high but I was willing to keep an open mind. In all honesty it does not match that glorious peak it held for many years ago but it was a great meal with great wait staff. We will be back.

The chicken parmigiana is to die for. The pizza is one of the best I ever had. With the great bread dipped in the oil with garlic mmm mmm. The house salad is delicious. Best Italian food in Jupiter.

Only had the pizza which was thought was better than many other places. Small pie for the price. Regular dinner prices rather pricey but good size portions. I suspect this is not hand tossed pizza but premade pie dough with the fresh toppings. However I will be coming back for the pizza which has the different crust.

Nick's needs some help...35 min wait for some uninspired food. The place is called Nick's Tomato Pie but the Tomato pie is actually pizza. A real tomato pie has the mozzarella on the bottom and sauce on top. May need rename to Nick's Pizza Pie. The Ravioli's were the bright spot. Chicken Parm was decent but nothing to bring me back. Meatball not very good. Given the higher prices for just pasta not sure I get the crowd.

A good solid Italian restaurant with some loyal locals and fresh food..... My husband and I saw some favorable newspaper write-ups, so we decided to give Nick's a try. It was a pleasant experience. Our waitress came to us immediately to take our drink orders. Good sign. She returned with the drinks and a whole loaf of Italian bread in a white bakery bag, and a small dish of roasted garlic and oil. My mouth was salivating looking at the bag since I know and love good Italian bread. My father had an Italian deli in Brooklyn where I grew up, so the quality of Italian bread is important to me. I was somewhat disappointed to see the bread was a bland "supermarket" type variety, dry and not very appealing. On the other hand, the roasted garlic and oil was great. I don't want to make a big deal about the bread, but it wasn't Italian from a bakery as they made it appear. Still, the meal started off well with an attentive waitress and the roasted garlic. The dinners came with an included first course of salad or soup. On this particular day, the soup was escarole with sausage. Interesting offer but I'm not a fan of sausage in soups, so I took the salad as did my husband. Salad came out in one bowl, family style, and the house creamy Italian dressing was fresh and made on the premises as promised by our waitress. Second stage of the meal, also good. It seemed that most people around us ordered pizza, but we wanted to try the dinners. We both ordered a veal dish since that is something I wouldn't usually make myself. My husband had the Veal Marsala, with mushrooms and a thick, very dark gravy. I must say it was delicious! My husband loved it! It seemed to have a red-wine reduction type flavor, rich and flavorful. The veal portion was small and for the price we expected more. I had the Veal Florentine with fresh spinach and three cheeses melted on tomato slices. It was an interesting presentation and also delicious! The spinach was in fact, fresh. My only complaint was that at $21.95 there could have been more veal. The three small slices of veal were hidden by two tomato slices. (You can see my photos of the dinners.) Both main dishes came with a side of pasta which included, is a penne and marinara sauce. For an extra charge of $1.59 you can order any pasta with any sauce as a side. The side pasta dishes were small but more than enough with a full dinner. I had the penne with marinara and my husband had angel hair pasta with oil and garlic. Both were delicious and the pastas were cooked properly, al dente. We ate everything and passed on dessert and coffee. Although it was a good experience overall, and the food was good, I don't know if I'll return. There are many good Italian restaurants in the area and I'd have to really impressed to have a favorite place at this point. Perhaps their pizza is the best, but we didn't try that this time. I recommend that you give it a try and see for yourself. The locals seem to love it, and the restaurant was crowded so they must be doing something right!

This place has really gone down hill. Every Christmas for the past 15 years I've been coming to this restaurant. This year when we came December 28, they did not have any bread or cups for us to get water. We sat for an hour before receiving our salads. And another half hour before receiving our food. Unacceptable.

Love nicks, they never disappoint with the food. It's always consistently great. Occasionally the service is bad and they can have long wait time, especially if you are not a regular. All in all, you have to go for dinner or you will be missing out.

We were visiting Jupiter for a golf tournament. Went looking for a sports bar but spotted this restaurant. My husband thought it was a salad place but I thought probably pizza. We were pleasantly surprised at how cute the place was. The waitstaff were friendly too. We decided to sit at the bar to wait for our table and after seeing the energy of the waiters and the fun the customers were having we decided to eat at the bar. We met a nice couple and watched the Texas-Kentucky basketball game. Nick, the owner stopped to say hi and we asked him to just bring us something. We had a wonderful salad, mussels with a lightly spicy red sauce and a very nicely cooked and seasoned chicken Parmesan. This is one of those special local restaurants where the waitstaff cares and you will find a very nice meal. We will return!

I really wanted to love Nicks. Unfortunately my experience was only mediocre. The good part of the meal was the bread and roasted garlic with oil. However, the salad and entrée were just average. The house salad was dressed with a "whipped Italian" dressing, which was unimpressive. I ordered the shrimp parm and upgraded to the gnocchi for my pasta. The flavor of the shrimp was OK, but there was so much tomato sauce on both the shrimp and gnocchi that those flavors were drowned out. The service was slow and at times inattentive. I can't say we'll be going back.

Nicks has some delicious choices but the service staff can come off as apathetic. I know it sounds crazy but don't let this detour you. They have gluten free pasta options, yummy lighter faire Italian cuisine choices and a decent affordable wine list. Their dessert choices can also be devine, check for local chefs featured on their list.

This place has really gone down hill. No longer do they serve you a loaf of Italian bread with fresh garlic. Now, they give you a basket of sliced bread with old (grey) garlic from a jar. The portion sizes are half of what they used to be. Talk about cutting corners. The service has always been poor, but the food used to make up for it. Not anymore. There are so many better Italian restaurants out there. Skip this one!

Good food. Large portions. I had penne ala vodka with chicken - not as creamy as I anticipated but didn't stop me from clearing most of my plate. Hubby had meat lover pasta special which he said was good. Soup or salad comes with most entrees. Son's pizza was good thin crust NY style pizza - I stole a bite and would consider ordering it for myself next time, it was that good. But the highlight was the roasted garlic and fresh bread. Service was good but a bit slow. It's definitely an eat-in place when you have time - don't come here if you are in a rush.

Natalie D. from Chicago, IL., really over did her review of this place and MUST be friends with the owner's family. The food was atrocious and I have been going to Nick's Tomato Pie for years. I asked the hostesses on the way out if they had new owners and apparently the owner had a stroke and does no go in anymore. Whoever is running it now is going to run this, once awesome restaurant, into the ground. The staff seemed as if they didn't know what they were doing, the food was not even close to what it used to be. You get 4 scallops instead of 5 in the appetizer they had, you don't get the huge bowl of pasta in a nice dish, instead they bake it and put it inside another bowl. The Veal Saltimbocca had a brown gravy on it, like the kind you get in a buffet style restaurant, It was just all over bad, and the sad part is that it is so obvious that it's because of whoever is running it. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, might I suggest that you go back to doing whatever it was your male family member was doing before you all are out of a job. Call Gordon Ramsey, you all need help in a bad way. Definitely a nightmare. Oh, and in ending, was my husband's favorite Italian restaurant, but as we got in the car and drove away, he said "well my new favorite Italian restaurant is that place by Home Depot."

Like some other reviewers said, "I don't get." We recently moved to the area, and Nick's was on are list of place we wanted to try. It seems to be a busy place, so we thought it has got to be good. The place itself is cute inside, so we really thought we had found a new good spot. The service was so poor, we literally didn't even see our Server in the dining room most of the time we were there. She kept popping out from time to time from a back room. We ordered some wine and also asked for water. When my dinner came, chicken parm, which she recommended, it was so dry. I gave up trying to find our Server to get extra sauce and our water. Mid way through our meal we finally got our water and my sauce Our dishes were both so mushy. My husband ordered the chicken scarpariello, and it was so bland. Bad service and subpar food. We won't be going back.

Never had a bad meal here... And have eaten here lots and lots... They serve a roasted garlic with fresh bread, You dip the bread in oil and smear on the garlic and yummy. Fresh salad served family style is crisp and fresh. Then house wine, which is sold by the honor system is very nice. For the price it's great. The clams casino and the calamari are great, again fresh fresh... I sometimes get the pasta, pick out your pasta, your sauce and added veggies, shrimp, etc... Delish. The veal Marsala and chicken cacciatore are my other favs. Sometimes I order one for takeout, just to take home ;) Service is once I a while spotty, which results in cold food or it would be five stars.

I am extremely disappointed that I have to leave a negative review here, but my last experience here was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and has left me never wanting to return. We have eaten here dozens of times over the years and the food never disappoints. My recent issue was with catering, which I had never done before. I called 3 weeks before Christmas to ensure that they were open, that they were catering and I asked how far in advance I needed to place my order. The girl told me the day before would be fine. She emailed me the catering menu and I was set. However, I call the day before Christmas Eve ( as the catering was my dinner for Christmas) and was told they made the decision last week not to cater as they were too busy. I couldn't believe it. They wouldn't honor what they told me, and the order wasn't even big. Had another local restaurant not saved the day (with food equally delicious at half the price) our Christmas would have been ruined. The manager (she said she was a manager) was completely ineffectual and lacked any authority and had zero interest in fixing the situation. I am disgusted by their behavior and lack of customer service skills. If I acted at the same level at my job, I would be fired.

I was pretty disappointed. The place looks like an affordable casual restaurant, but they try to run it like an upscale place. The prices are high, you will be pressed to find a meal for under $15 and the portions are very small. They search the food on the cheapest plates they could find and have dollar store silverware. I recommend Giuseppe's across the street if you are looking for Italian.

Their gorgonzola salad was really fresh and tasted great with the fresh garlic cloves they give you. I also had the vegetarian pizza and it was well made also. I picked up the order from the bar and it was very busy. They had my meal ready in about 25 minutes and the staff was friendly. The only thing is that the prices are a little high.

Due to an estimated 1/2 hour wait for a table, we decided to eat at the bar on our 1/31/13 visit to Nick's. I was instantly taken back by the unfriendly bartenders working that night. We thought about leaving, but a customer next to us told us that the food is great, so stay put. Throughout our entire dinner, both bartenders were unfriendly & unattentive. I'm not sure that I've ever seen two guys look so miserable at their jobs. But...... luckily the guy that told us to stay was correct. The Chicken Parm was so good! I didn't even need my knife to cut it. It was so moist. And the surrounding sauce was so much tastier than most tomato sauces at other restaurants. I also had the house salad, which was pretty "standard fare." And I had a side of broccoli that was cooked nicely. My only other negative was the wine-by-the-glass selection. I think they could offer some better red wines to go with their excellent food. I would definitely go back to Nick's. But I will be sure to eat at a table, regardless of the wait time.

Me and my fiancé went there for dinner today, we had a weekend at Orlando and had to make a stop on our way to Miami. Place: The place is beautiful, decoration and environment is awesome! Food: We ordered bruchettas.... WOW, these bruchettas were bigger than a baby's arm, and the taste was just amazing! The tomatoes on the top were unforgettable. My fiancé ordered a Tomato pie (which is a pizza) and I had a bite... DOBLE WOW!! overall the food was delicious.. Service: It was good, a little slow but the restaurant was busy as usual apparently since it seems like this place is famous. Price: Average, it worths the price Conclusion: We recommend this place, we might stop by again in the future.

Made a reservation for 15 people. Showed up to a pretty full restaurant but didn't have to wait more than a minute to be seated. One waitress covered our orders. Without a pen and paper took our drink order and delivered every bodies drinks in a few minutes. We joked and said to ourselves that we bet she couldn't do that for our meal. She took what was a totally off the hook set of individualized orders and got it 100%. Totally amazing. We asked her if she had a recording device since she clearly didn't write a thing down - straight up memory. Outstanding waitress and great service from the minute we walked in. The meals - seven kids and eight adults worth. No one had a complaint. Food was great, from my vegetarian pizza with meatballs added, Zuppa di Pesche, homemade Gnocci's, spaghetti and meatballs, and some really great eggplant parmigiana. The only disappointment I had was with the cannoli desert, I personally didn't care much for the filling, I've had better. My wife had the tira misu which was pretty good. We'd definitely go back.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES!!! A family member who is deathly allergic to tree nuts and peanuts ordered the simple baby green salad with her dinner. After taking a few bites she began to feel ill and saw some items in the bottom of the salad bowl (hidden by the lettuce leaves) that looked suspiciously like chopped nuts. When asked, the waitstaff insisted "no nuts,", but we knew better. When they double-checked with the chef he said yes, of course. Walnuts. The menu didn't/still doesn't indicate any ingredients in the salad that can cause a life-threatening allergic reaction. My relative was rushed to the hospital where she was treated for several hours to control the anaphylaxis. Needless to say, the evening was ruined for all concerned - and was terrifying for her. It is unconscionable that any food service organization would be so negligent in not indicating major allergens on their menu, nor train their waitstaff to be familiar with the ingredients. Perhaps the laws are stricter in Mass., where we live, and where allergens are required to be listed on all restaurant menus - but WOW. Maybe it will take a patron dying from anaphylactic shock and an enormous lawsuit for these guys to realize how critical certain food allergies are. Nick's, regardless of the quality or taste of your food, you earned a huge F on this one. And know that our Jupiter-based family will not be returning any time soon...
