Fantastic beach spot for breakfast or lunch. Every meal here is perfect. Service is always great too. Portions are huge and delicious!

Been driving by here for 4 years, finally stopped, so glad we did! HUGE turkey club big enough for 2 w ff, and it was delicious. No outdoor seating but got our food to go and sat next door at Carlin Park.

Did I somehow travel through some hidden tunnel to the Bahamas? I really felt like I was somewhere in the Caribbean with their island style of cooking. After unsuccessfully trying to find a lunch spot and being misled by the GPS or finding the restaurants were closed, I was very happy to have found this place on Yelp, because I probably would have driven by, otherwise. Tucked away on the beach, across from the parking lot, was this cute, picturesque restaurant, with soft pastel colors, as if from a painting. The Lazy Loggerhead Cafe is named after the loggerhead turtle, which nests regularly on the beaches in south Florida. Because of this and its location, I thought it was probably one of those touristy, beachy places (read: crappy, yet overpriced food). Nonetheless, I was hungry. I was greeted by a very friendly staff inside this small, cozy joint, even though they were about half an hour away from closing. I noticed their menu is mostly casual (sandwiches and salads), but my friend and I wanted an entree. We quickly found our answer in the dolphin platter. I ordered it blackened and it came with a few sides. I was expecting a tiny portion, as it was a beach restaurant and thought it'd be overpriced, but I was surprised by the hefty portion of fish, the beautiful presentation, and the combination of colors of the food. If it tastes as good as it looks, we have a winner, I thought! I took a bite of that dolphin (Mahi-Mahi, guys, not Flipper), and it was so juicy and flavorful! Wow, I haven't had fresh, tasty, yet light, dolphin for a while! My friend, who does not like fish, actually liked it too! It seemed fresh caught. The citrus rice was also a nice twist, a pleasant change from the usual white, yellow, or brown rice at most restaurants. It came with scallions and black beans. It was very flavorful as all the ingredients were mixed together. It also came with a skewer of fruit and a fruit salsa. I didn't think fruit and fish would pair up well, but the flavors of the fruit and salsa actually mixed very well. Although the portions were quite large (and we didn't even have any room for dinner that day!), the food was light, despite the beans. It was delicious and nowhere have I had such a great combination of flavors with seafood. It was simple yet so complex. I see they have been around since the 90s, and I am not surprised. It is family owned, and the owners look like nice folks. The staff told us to take our time to eat, even as they were putting the chairs away. Our waitress told us about her romantic lighthouse wedding too, and offered help in getting us to the lighthouse, which was the real reason we came to Jupiter. We never felt rushed and were well tended to throughout, with constant offers to refill our drinks. Very nice people and great food, a perfect combination. There was also some fun people watching at the beach. Since it's at the beach, the dress code is casual -- even the staff wears polos and shorts. It seems to be a popular breakfast spot in the area, and I am sure it's great. The Lazy Loggerhead Cafe has my sign of approval!

We enjoyed our breakfast today at Lazy Loggerhead Cafe We had the meat lovers omelet with grits and rye toast. The service could have been better as our waitress and check out person were not there for us as there was no eye contact or warm smiles or thank you. We will go back as we know not everybody has great days daily

Really good for bkfst, and lunch sandwiches good too. Tiny, hidden gem.
(4)Stephanie D.
The reason I am giving them 2 stars is because on our last visit for breakfast we waited for 20 minutes for a table and then were told that breakfast was over and that they were now serving lunch. Both my husband and I were completely baffled that they wouldn't have said something to us when there was a wait, so we didn't wait anticipating breakfast to only be disappointed. It was also Valentine's Day and we had made a special trip to Jupiter for them. Although we have had a positive experience on another visit this past trip will be our last. There are many other great "breakfast spots" nearby that will now earn our business. I also think if they were nicer about the gap between breakfast and lunch then perhaps we wouldn't have been so upset. But it was as though they didn't need our business and could care less that we drove all that way. P.s. You should change your website to reflect the fact that there is a 20 minute wait between breakfast and lunch before food is served.

Awful service. Just got turned away at 10:55am on a Saturday because they said they stopped serving breakfast and they won't start serving lunch for 40 min!
(1)Joseph B.
We read the great reviews about breakfast. The serving hours for breakfast are not stated out front. We arrived at 1050 and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. It was when we were given the menus we were told breakfast was over. We left.
(1)Stacy H.
Just went there for Lunch today for the first time. We usually go there for breakfast but thought we'd try lunch today. It was AMAZING!!! I ordered the Portobello Roasted Pepper Salad. Excellent! It was a lot to eat. Presentation was bright, colorful and classy. Hubby ordered a Rueben. He loved it. Came out on a large Texas Toast and with fries. I also had the Clam Chowder. Very tasty and not too heavy or salty. We will be going back again for lunch more often.

This is one of my favorite places in Jupiter. Having gone to college in this town, I was a frequent visitor (it also helped that one of my roomates worked here). One thing to try for sure is their black bean soup. It's so flavorful and the cream on top with the chives really add to the overall taste. Their portions are huge and all their lunches are delicous, especially the fresh fish. Great vegetarians as well, they have portobello salads/sandwiches with goat cheese that is amazing. I try to visit every time I am in town. Do note, they get very busy on weekends and are open for breakfast and lunch. Also, this place is located in the park of a beach, but u don't actually get ocean views, just the clean fresh ocean breeze :)
(5)LnE R.
It's been a while, but his place was really good. Casual atmosphere, friendly staff and good prices. It's just too bad they don't have an ocean view.
(4)Diggums S.
This place gets zero stars from me! Had french toast & was so heavy on the nutmeg it made me gag! Eggs less than par, fruit was not fresh. Not worth it. Don't waste you're time or appetite. And ps, it might be on the beach but there is absolutely no view of the ocean or beach.
(1)Jessica R.
Shmeh... I'm on the fence. PROS: For a cheap breakfast, come and definitely try the hashbrowns - they are crispy delights. OJ that comes with each meal tastes fresh. CONS: The wait was long, the place is tiny. I liked the banana pancakes, not so much the syrup. 'Cheese sauce' on omelets is reminiscent of Velveeta dip. I'd come back and try lunch...
(3)Daniel M.
Very hit or miss. Have had outstanding experience there and terrible experience there. Who knows. The severe lack of Yelp reviews for a place that has been around so long tells me that it's essentially a tourist stop. Locals go there with out of town family when they visit. It's an okay restaurant. Was very put off when we went "between breakfast and lunch" and they refused to seat us. We left, never went back. Funny how that works.
(3)Scott P.
Great place for an early breakfast. It gets busy after 9 AM. Great food and always friendly service. They keep coffee mugs filled and are quick to make changes to your order...never disappointed when I go there with first timers or locals.
(4)Rich C.
Without a doubt, the best breakfast in Jupiter. Right on the ocean and although not idea building/seating, this place always has a line and is always packed! Huge breakfasts and super fun for bringing out-of-towners.
(4)Brian B.
The best clam chowder I have had. Great place and a must if you want that 'local' place. Beware seating is limited and hours are limited. Plan ahead!
(5)C H.
4 and a half stars. Yes this is a wonderful place, both for breakfast and lunch. Fish sandwich, and sides all well executed. Went for breakfast too and it is awesome. If you are down here be sure to check it out. You will be happy you ate here. And the price is well worth it. For the type of food they serve they should be charging more. Great value!
(4)Jim H.
Looking to beat the "season" crowd and based on a recommendation for serving an excellent breakfast we stopped by on a recent weekday morning. The good news is there was no wait (as I'm told they often have) and the bad news was that breakfast stops at 11AM. On to lunch; I had a cheeseburger with an ample portion of fries. Very good though not the best I ever had but presented nicely with a properly toasted bun, two cheese slices and two absolutely beautiful tomato slices. I expect I will have that same platter many times in the future. The salad prep area is visible from the dining room and you can see colossal mounded salads being made. My wife had the Cold Ginger Chicken salad; it was huge and delicious with perfectly fresh greens and too large to finish. See my picture of the salad cucumber slices each decorated with a coating of sesame seeds. Real attention to detail! Very friendly servers and nice vibe to the place. Reasonable pricing, maybe a buck or two more for excellent quality and being at the beach. Sit inside or out.
(4)Andrew E.
Duke's Lazy Loggerhead is a must visit! This is food & service at its best. Very friendly, very fast. Usually there is a wait to be seated, but it is well worth the wait. The almond French Toast is fantastic!
(5)A. M.
Such a delicious funky little place right at the beach. The black bean soup is fantastic and my hubby is obsessed with the grilled ginger chicken. The gooey grilled cheese and tomato is also yummy. Have NEVER had a bad lunch here. Not an early bird so never been for breakfast but judging by lunch it has to be fabulous! The servers are really nice and must like their job because many of them have been there for years. Love this local gem!
(5)Joseph B.
You will think you are walking into a grease spoon restaurant but the food is Amazing. The best blackened dolphin sandwich I have ever eaten to date!
(5)monica m.
Great spot for breakfast and lunch on beach. Great Mahi. Great pancakes, grilled cheese. Fabulous service. Great Jupiter beach experience. Local favorite !
(5)Michele C.
Just took a quick trip to Palm Beach for a few days, and we came here THREE times. It is just so good. We somehow never knew they had breakfast until this trip so two of our visits were for breakfast. The french toast is awesome - made on big, thick bread, and the hashbrowns are also fantastic. We came for lunch on our third visit and had our usual grilled chicken salad and dolphin sandwich and fries. It was as good as always. We bought some Duke's Dust before we left - I think they use that to season the fries which are awesome, so now we can season our potatoes at home and be reminded of the delicious food from this place! I also love the service here - its nice and fast, very efficient, but not in a rude way. I cannot wait to go back!!!
(5)Kathy A.
Wonderful place for lunch. Great salads (I love the oriental chicken salad), and my husband always goes for the grilled hot dog. Big portions, and I love leftovers.
(5)Leslie B.
New favorite lunch spot in Jupiter! Unfortunately, they stop serving breakfast at 11:00 and we totally missed it. This place is definitely hidden, so don't be alarmed when the directions lead you seemingly to the middle of nowhere. We had no problem getting at able around noon and there was indoor and outdoor seating. For lunch, we shared a caesar salad that was a very generous portion. If we go back for lunch, I don't think it was necessary to order something besides our sandwiches. Boyfriend ordered the Reuben and it was massive. He graced me with a bite and it was very delicious, especially with their cole slaw on top. I had the chunky ginger chicken salad sandwich and it rocked. Their chicken salad recipe has an Asian twist and is incredibly unique! I really enjoyed how fresh it tasted and the combination of flavors. Additionally, their fries are thick-cut and make a great accompaniment to the sandwich. Keeping with the theme at Lazy Loggerhead, this sandwich was huge and I only made it through half. The boyfriend was more than willing to take the leftovers to the field for a late afternoon snack. Overall, I will definitely be back, hopefully waking up early enough to make breakfast! Perfect spot to grab something to eat after the beach.
(5)Veronica V.
Great for breakfast. I've visited several times, and never had a bad experience. I love the almond crusted French toast. It's so yummy! If you like French toast you have to try theirs. I also love their eggs Benedict. They use good quality ingredients. This is a must go to place if you're looking for a delicious breakfast in Jupiter, Fl. Do yourself a favor by skipping all the big food chains and find this place. It's also on the beach. ;)
(5)Mariel R.
This place is awesome for breakfast. On a perfect beach day it's nice to sit outside, listen to the waves, and smell the salty air. The food and service is wonderful!
(4)Max S.
Really nice breakfast spot on the beach. Huge portions for very little $. Couldn't ask for more after a run on the beach. The omelette was great!
(4)Jenn H.
I have been here a few times and I have always enjoyed every bite. The blackened dolphin sandwich is delicious, although it is not on the menu. Definitely worth the trip!
(5)Robin S.
The food was pretty good and we loved the french toast. The service could he been friendlier but the atmosphere was very inviting. Loved that we could go right to the beach afterwards. Would have rated it better if the service was friendlier.
(2)Ronaldo G.
Doesn't matter if your a local or tourist here, cause the food is always good whether you are from Canada or Jupiter. In one of the oldest buildings on the beach, everything is tasty, filling and always consistent. Their dolphin sandwich rocks, I prefer it un-blackened, with some chowder and iced tea. They close at 3 so get there for lunch, no dinner. Lots of local artists' work on the wall and it's all for sale. Staff is fantastic and they are great and making you feel like your at home A Jupiter must go!
(4)Donna B.
Just a bit of advice to the owner. You should either make your restaurant only breakfast or only lunch. Doesn't make sense to turn business away at 11a.m. because you're not serving breakfast anymore to start planning for lunch. Why disappoint people who haven't even eaten here yet? It wasn't like you're that busy you couldn't accomodate. Fortunately, we arrived around noon so the only option was lunch. However I was disappointed that I couldn't try the almond french toast. The Reuben sandwich was good and i liked the seasoning on the fries.
(4)Morgan K.
Pancakes were gross. So dry and had to use those tiny packets of butter to attempt making them better. It didn't work. I used 8 packets of butter, and they serve only fake syrup so that didn't help. I only ate half and I feel like I ate a bucket of fried chicken! What did they do to those pancakes?! I like real food, real butter and real service. This is not the place, even for a glimpse of the ocean through the trees. Coffee was ok. The first time we came at 10:30, we were told we had to get there at 10:15 if we wanted breakfast (served til 11).
(1)Trey B.
The lazy loggerhead's is classic simple dinner food not amazing but not bad. The food is not the main reason you go though. The Lazy Loggerhead is one of the few old Florida restaurants left in south Florida and it is right on the beach at that. The logger head has a very relaxed atmosphere and is has decent food. I will probably go again though there are other breakfast places I like more in the area, but definitely a good place to toss into the rotation.
(3)Mark L.
Used to love this place - but for the same money, I'd rather eat at the Plaza Hotel in NYC. Every one of our five breakfasts came out cold - you know, nobody's butter melted on anything. I was watching them sit at the pass for ten minutes. Would have pointed it out, but no wait staff to be found during that period. Pancakes the size of a Rosie O'Donnell seat cushion - but they fell apart, literally turned to mush. I'd like to see Mythbusters figure that out. Omelets price out around what a flat screen TV will run you - and yet they still warn you "we charge for substitutions!" - really? So if you don't want the blanket of Velveeta cheese sauce the bathe every omelet in you get jacked for a premium? Uh, okay - we'll vote with our feet. The winner at the table was two poached eggs with a side of sausage, aside from the temperature (cold) it was quite good.
(2)Sheila D.
Had a wonderful, delicious breakfast with my family today in a very laid back, comfy setting with very friendly service. This place is a treasure and I will be back! Love it.
(5)Christina S.
if you're hungry, this place gives good portion sizes. i had the Benedict Arnold and it was too much for me to finish. I probably wouldnt order this again as i dont like mushy tomatoes which is buried under the steamed spinach. By the time youre halfway into the meal, the english muffins are a liitle mushy from the tomatoes and spinach. Any how, my daughter liked the short stack and scrambled eggs. The service was good.
(3)Justin G.
I couldn't tell you how the food was because I got here at 10:55. They stop serving breakfast and don't start serving lunch until 11:30am. Smh so if you're hungry (hence why you would go here in the first place) don't show up at this time. -disappointed to say the least.
(2)Ali T.
Great place for breakfast or lunch, with interesting menu choices and delicious food. It's a popular place with the locals, right at the beach. Small place with outdoor tables, it has no view but the great food makes up for the lack of scenery. Today we ate there for lunch and I had the grilled marinated chicken sandwich. It was huge with two large cutlets. I removed one and took it home for tomorrow's lunch. My husband ordered the Ruben sandwich which was also very large and he could only eat half. Both lunches came with coleslaw and fries. We've also eaten here in the past for breakfast. It's always a treat!
(4)Gary J L.
Was not serving between 11:00 and 11:30 AM when shifting from breakfast to lunch (?!).
(1)Nadine R.
Good beach place, surprised to find something like this on the water. Fresh fish salads and sandwiches and yummy seasoned fries.
(3)Jim L.
I love this place! The food is excellent, and I love the casual beach vibe. I've been here for both lunch and breakfast. The food always exceeds my expectations
(5)Brenda P.
Great little hidden place. Unassuming Super casual GREAT FOOD! Stopped here for lunch while on our way up North with some friends. The place was absolutely packed with about 2 dozen people waiting outside. We only waited about 20 minutes or so. We just walked down to the beach and hung for a while. Can't think of a better way to wait to be seated! We shared the black bean soup and had the chunky ginger chicken salad and the chicken sandwich. So fresh and delicious. We devoured it! This is a must stop for us from now on when driving up the coast from South Florida. Check them out!
(4)Justin F.
I don't think an island lunch could possibly get any better than this. Food is first rate. Had the fish Reuben and turkey club. Wasn't in the mood for soup or would have had the black bean soup as I hear it's amazing. Fresh ingredients, fast service. Only wish I had a bigger stomach!
(5)Francesca D.
WOW. No other words explain this fabulous little beach side stop. We went with family that are locals and grubbed a fabulous lunch. We ordered the mahi ruben (it's not on the menu, but they will make it). It's incredible! I will now dream of that sandwich and try to make it from home in the meantime. The portions are huge, definitely sharable. Service excellent and quick.
(5)F B.
Great food - I always get the eggs Benedict, kid friendly, excellent service with a smile, & great beachy atmosphere steps from the beach! I love this place!
(5)Eddie H.
Great find at the beach. Chicken salad with ginger was very good. Building is very plain, but as the locals will tell you, the place wins awards for a reason.
(4)Joey W.
Great for breakfast or lunch, closed for dinner. Casual beach type atmosphere. (Maybe because they are on Jupiter Beach?).
(4)Ryan M.
This is a fun place to go before or after the beach. The food was better than I expected and the service was really friendly. I wasn't that hungry when I ordered the Mahi Rueben but I ended up licking the plate. The Texas toast was a nice touch! Overall, I would recommend this as a cool casual dining spot for breakfast or lunch and I'll definitely bring my out-of-town friends and kids here again.
(3)Marlene G.
We came here for the first time after living nearby for a year. The food was great and customer service was good. The only thing I didn't appreciate is that the sign on the door said open but when we went in, the waitress siad that they were not serving lunch and we needed to wait for 25 minutes.
(4)donna R.
Best breakfast on the beach. Oh, and best lunch too....fish sandwiches cooked to perfection!
(4)Ender M.
The omelettes are amazing. One of the best I can remember having. It's a fairly small place and kind of fills up quickly and gets loud, but the service is great, to food is good enough to make everything else taste like Waffle House in comparison. The price for the omelette was around $10, but even though I rarely leave food on a plate, and it was delicious, I couldn't finish it a all. It comes with a tiny tiny glass of fruit juice and some other stuff. Everything was excellent, though the size of the juice - which tasted fresh squeezed- was kind of ludicrous. Heh... Honestly though, if I had drank more juice it probably would've been too much anyway given the amount and taste of the food - you kind of want to consume as little else as possible so you can enjoy more of the food! Go there for sure, but remember, it fills up fast!
(5)Peter R.
How many times do you go to the beach and the food option stinks? Not at this local spot in Jupiter!! Their sandwiches are awesome and the salads are delicious. And don't forget the seasoned fries, they are super tasty. Breakfast is great too. More pancakes please....
(5)Nic B.
Me: These are the best hash-browns I've ever had in my life. Anonymous: (Shrugs) I heard they were frozen. I've had better. Me: I'm eating the best hash-browns of my life, looking at the ocean, drinking fresh orange juice and iced coffee, strawberries...and I'm about to go swimming. What can be better than this? Anonymous: (Yawns) Huh? It's hot outside. Anonymous is dead to me.* This kind of epitomizes my feelings about Jupiter Beach. It comes down to The Lazy Loggerhead Cafe. I love simple places like this that offer cheap delicious breakfasts and, if I had a million dollars, I might like to buy this place and make it my own little breakfast oasis in the sun. What makes me cringe are the anonymous "dining partners" who leave me feeling uninspired and almost always missing the eccentrics back in New York. Lazy Loggerhead is a great spot for breakfast when in Jupiter, though, and perhaps a better spot for me to take tourists who would appreciate being by the beach more. I haven't been for lunch. *Come on, you guys, no one is REALLY dead to me. I'm all tough talk. I'm really a kitten. Unless you ignore me. Then, seriously, you're dead to me until I like you again.
(4)Lila B.
Nice interior- sort of a surfer feel to it. You can't see the ocean from the restaurant which is a disappointment. It is up on a high dune which is cool. The waitress wasn't that friendly. The pancakes are yummy. The French toast was a little too spiced with cinnamon and other Christmas kind of spices. It's wonderful to walk on the beach after. A great way to spend a lazy morning!
(4)Tommy M.
I know that Yelp may not be too popular around this area, but Lazy Loggerhead is great! I have family in Jupiter, and we usually go to LL once while we are there. Good breakfast food, nice vibe inside, and it's right next to the beach at Carlin Park. I usually get a big ole' omelet and some fresh-squeezed juice. Yum! Now I wish I was in FL instead of cold Chicago....
(5)Brian P.
This place is fantastic. The atmosphere is a just what you'd expect: shack on a beautiful beach. The food is terrific. I've had the fish sandwich almost every time and it is SPECTACULAR. It is this ginormous hunk of seafood deliciousness served on a fresh roll. Their coleslaw is homemade and is almost fruity (like me). I could eat those fries ALL day long. There is always a little side of this magical fruit chutney. And, just to top it off, the chef and owner (?) consistently stops me on the way out to ask about the meal. I love these guys -- they are the essence of Florida. Kudos, guys.
(5)Joseph L.
If you come to Jupiter and swing by the beach, you will find a yellow building right by the bathrooms. This is Lazy Loggerhead. It is as part of the beach as peanut butter is to jelly. I ordered the bean soup and came away fully satisfied. You might not be able to swim in the ocean, depending on the Jellyfish, shark activity, undertow but you can eat in the yellow restaurant called the Loggerhead.
(4)Troy L.
Great food and service, always try and go when I'm in the area, the fish platter is awesome!
(5)D T.
This place is one of the top reasons I love our sleepy little beach town. Local, local, local. The cafe is named after the adorable...and HUGE Loggerhead Turtles that occupy the area. (one of the most populated areas in the world for the little buggers. I think that's so neat!) The cafe sits along A1A, nestled next to a great park that's ideal for the kids when you have a wait. And good chance you will. Loggerhead serves breakfast and lunch, wildly popular among locals, baseball fans and vacation home owners. Not being a fan of breakfast food, I opt for lunch 9 times out of 10. The Dolphin is great, either in a salad or with a side of rice as a heartier meal. Usually a fresh fish of the day to have like this as well. Do note the Ceasar is NOT like your typical Ceasar. Has a sweeter dressing and comes with a fruit salsa. I prefer both on the side. The Turkey Club is great, the Grilled Cheese is a stand out. Get it with basil and tomatoes. The Rueben is really good too. Must try the Black Bean soup...it's addicting. Servers are super efficient and have been there forever. One of the guys cooking is hotttt...still haven't been ballsy enough to say anything to him. If you're reading this, we are the family of tiny girls from Chicago that come in.
(4)Michael R.
amazing place!! A must when you are anywhere near Jupiter. 2 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and tomato juice (the orange juice is awesome as well). Coffee is gooooood!! My wife and I usually split a veggie omelet with feta cheese, the hashbrowns will be a conversation halfway through tomorrow (i.e. - I could SO go for some more hashbrowns from Lazy Loggerhead right NOW), and the coffee is excellent. **You can also judge an eating establishment by the company they keep!! The ladies working the floor have been there for YEARS. The men behind the scene are also - staples. Its like a big family, but nicer. =] The lunch there ROCKS as well. But my favorite is the breakfast. You won't be disappointed. ps - I usually grab an extra coffee and walk down to the beach and just breath... its cheaper than a psychologist. And works just as well.
(5)Jesse W.
This place is terrific. If you go for lunch, don't leave without getting the black bean soup. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is amazing.
(5)Jeff B.
Decent enough place; not up to the hype that got me there in the first place. I went with a friend towards the end of the snow bird season for brunch, and had quick service. The servers were average, and not up for conversation. The food was good, but in my opinion a bit too pricey for breakfast food. Location is on the beach park, but no ocean view. I won't be seeking out opps to go again, but when I do, I know i can rely on good food and a comfortable atmosphere.
(3)Stephane H.
We love this place the people that work there are alway smiling and the food is good
(5)Steve M.
We've been going here when on vacation for years and love the place! Great clam chowder and blackened dolphin sandwich. Perfect location, right on a public beach
(5)Brian V.
Now we're talking. For most of my Florida vacation, I ate at home or in restaurants that focused on some pretty basic stuff because we were young kids. For my last full day in sunny Jupiter, it was just me and my grandmother, and she wanted to show me the good stuff. So why were we pulling up for breakfast at what looked like nothing more than the beach shack we used to stop at for ice cream when my family came down here when I was a kid? My grandmother tells me to trust her, it's under new ownership and the food is good. I do trust her, because she's my grandmother and they are not allowed to lie. I'm not an omelet guy really, or even really a big breakfast person. But when you put something called a Meat Lover's omelet on your menu, and tell me it has ham, bacon and sausage and is covered in cheese sauce, I'm going to order it. This thing was AWESOME. For about $10, I got this enormous tasty omelet, 3 big pieces of rye toast and I can't really come up with the proper adjective best hash browns in the world. They aren't really hash browns because they are fried, but they aren't really potato pancakes. It's like the crust of a potato pancake but the insides taste like hash browns. I'm kind of drooling while writing this, it's gross. Oh and OJ and coffee of course too. Great food, cheap and it's a couple hundred feet from the beach I went to every spring break as a kid. Easy five stars.
(5)Anita L.
We were just driving around and looking for a place to eat after the beach, and we stumbled onto the Lazy Loggerhead Cafe. We got there for lunch and I ordered the clam chowder and my boyfriend got the blackened dolphin platter. Wow! All of it was great! Our server was super sweet and quick. My chowder was fantastic, perfectly seasoned. The dolphin was soo moist and the blackening seasoning was great, not burnt tasting like some other places. The platter was served with beans and rice with three sauces on top of it. It was kind of complicated but it was good. I believe it was a raspberry sauce, mango sauce, and a lime cream sauce. Would definitely try to come here again for breakfast.
