Eww. I went with some friends that work @ Scripps and I won't go back unless friends insist - and if that happens I won't actually order anything. I should have known better when one of our friends said she will only order / drink something in a bottle, because every time she's ordered something that isn't sealed, it's made her sick. Including the drinks. When we walked in the bar area smelled like rotting garbage. Apparently all the drink are supposed to be 2 for 1, so I sent my husband to the bar for 2 margaritas. They came in a plastic party cup, with a truly ENORMOUS amount of salt - not only on the rim, but actually IN THE DRINK. I couldn't finish mine because it was like drinking a salt lick. Later, I asked my husband about the bill and the BOGO, and he said they charged him $8 each for those two cups of horror and didn't even mention a drink special! I'm not even to the worst part yet! The friends I went with kept going next door to go to the bathroom. When we asked them about it they explained: 1. There is a creepy bathroom attendant in the nasty bathroom that expects tips no matter how much you try to escape her and 2. THERE IS A TWO WAY MIRROR OVER THE URINALS IN THE MEN'S BATHROOM THAT IS RIGHT OVER THE BAR - meaning you can see the top half of all the guys that are at the urinals. How can that be legal? Guys - make sure that if you go in there, you know everyone can see you looking in the mirror while you are at the urinal, and don't make a face or pick your nose, etc.. Lastly, it was so ridiculously loud all night that I couldn't even converse with people - which is the whole reason I went anyway! The health department really needs to shut down this miserable rat hole so that a decent bar can open in it's place. Edit: I can't believe Pineapples closed, but this place is still kicking. It must be because the gimmicky specials on mistreated watered down booze continue to provide the opportunity for cheap hookups too those looking for a trashy booty call.

Okay, so I've been here for Flip Night but I came tonight and where was the Steel Drum Band? Come on now. 2 for 1 drinks is fun but it doesn't include the Rum Bucket. And I'm a classy girl who drinks from a bucket...filled with a rum. Which also tastes like a bucket of medicine.

Cool place in Jupiter, the service is very good for what I can tell, even thou I was at a company event where everything was catered to perfection, so I still have to come for a regular visit to really see if the experience will be the same. Stay tuned for that. From what i saw that night it's a very cool hang out after work. Happy hour and stuff

We chose this place because it was dog friendly and had an island vibe. The beer and food were good, the wings were perfect and fries were good as well. However, the nachos weirded me out. There was the normal melted shredded cheese and then some kind of white watery cheese mixed in as well. It was like they ran out of the good stuff and tried to fill in with some bottled, watered down blue cheese dressing. I love nachos but with the white watery cheese I had to pass. Barely touched one or two chips before I was completely grossed out. If it wasn't for the mystery ingredients in my nachos I would have given 5 stars. I'll be back again one day, so owners if you're reading this, just stick to melted shredded cheese, none of that velveeta crap or whatever it was I was served last time around.

Awesome atmosphere. One guys food was way undercooked. Our wait or was too lazy to split the tickets of a group of 8 and when we asked to split it, he said it will take him a long time. We made him do it anyways. The atmosphere and live music was wonderful. My food btw, was fine.

Lunch review. First meal in the West Palm Beach area after I landed here 9/17. I had no expectation other than having a solid meal after a long flight. And this was just that. The menu was extensive with a lot of choices. Although the place seemed empty on this particular Friday, it didn't bother me. I had a blackened dolphin burger. "Is that real dolphin meat?" I wondered. This must have been a regional special fish because I've seen it throughout my trip here... but sadly, I could not really tell what it tasted like since the burger was loaded with salt. Our server was super friendly so I didn't want to complain. The sweet potato fries balanced the saltiness of the burger so it wasn't intolerable. As a nice bonus, our server gave us drinks to go on our way out to keep us cool. Definitely unexpected and appreciated. Overall, a cool place to start my stay..

Jumby continues to go down hill, the food has always been pretty good, depending of course on what you order like all restaurants. The servers are horrendous. Its like they are hiring every delinquent highschooler that could care less about the customers. The bar is decent, however most the bartenders seem to lack any intelligence. Been going to eat and drink at Jumby for a while and last sit down dinner, I watched two people complain and one of them then walk out on the bill; Only for the server to return fifteen minutes later asking if someone picked up their bill. Something needs to change.

I have friends who live in Jupiter and we needed a place to go after a classic car show. I have never been to the Albacoa area so I was interested in checking it out. There were 10 of us. The service was fine. They were really attentive which is hard to do for a large group. I always try to keep it simple when trying a new place so I ordered the crunchy fish sandwich. The sandwich was fine. It arrived cold. All of the people next to me had cold food as well. My advice would be to order something that is supposed to be cold like a salad. Overall I was not impressed. It's basically a college campus hangout. Skip it. You can find better in Jupiter.

Have been there before and it was pretty good. However this last time the service was terribly slow (took 15 min to get drinks after we orders them, glass of wine and pint of draft beer) and the food was not good at all. bread for sandwich was stale, no flavor inside the sandwich. Very disappointing.

Got a Groupon deal for two entrees, appetizer, and dessert for $35 and almost felt guilty for getting the lobster dinner since there was nothing stating that was prohibited. Almost felt guilty. The meal was great and the long lunch of having beers and playing pool was nice. The lobsters were made just right, and we may have lucked out on that since there were not many patrons there to give the chef more time on our meal. The sesame seared tuna was very good, but it really is hard to mess that up. We ended with the peanut butter pie dessert and some sex on top of the parking garage in the car. hahaha! The atmosphere is typical sports bar, but wasn't crowded on that Saturday afternoon. The bathroom was weird, with one of those two way mirrors that seem to be cool now. Why do people want to look at others drinking beer while they piss? Not really my thing, but I guess it is trendy to be holding your junk and watching people eat a plate of nachos. Whatever floats your boat, America!

I'm local so I'll stop in occasionally for a quick bite. Nothing to write home about, the crab cakes are all cake no crab. Had a seared tuna salad that was raw. Had to be sent back. I think it's good for appetizers and drinks but not for dinner.

Cute place...service at the table and behind the bar was awesome...the food we ordered and wanted we couldn't have b/c the were out of everything (literally tried ordering 3 different things that they were out of & that's why they are getting 3 stars and not 4) so that sorta made us sad but...our back up choices were pretty good. Chilean sea bass was yummy...made with honey so how could it be bad :) Burger was huge...drinks were made well...and they had wiki sticks for my 4 year old niece so she was happy. Played some good music but had to go into the bar area to hear it and when a 4 year old wants to dance...you gotta let it happen...so there we were :) I'd like to try it again...see if I can catch them on a day where they aren't out of so many things!

I just moved here a few months ago and have visited Jumby Bay grill on many occasion ( three times a week) in some cases and never had a bad experience and the food is excellent. It's the atmosphere and great friendly service, it's not fast food or the get you out the door service. Recently we had a farewell after hours social and the entire group had a blast with incredible service from Vicki and the staff! So we highly recommend you try it and become a island member, music and all!

My husband and I started with the wings for an appetizer (super) I then had the three lobster tail dinner and found that the lobster was cooked perfectly and so were the vegetables that accompanied it. It was served with drawn butter and fresh lemon. My husband had the rib-eye and enjoyed it very much. Lisa was our server and she did a fantastic job. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone that is looking for a quite meal if Florida State is playing. They do like their football. We are from California and will not have the opportunity to visit this establishment again this trip. I would highly recommend it.

The bar scene is ok. Flip night on Wednesdays- flip a coin and get it right, the beer is free. Now as far as the food goes, I've had way better. I am a lobster lover. When they advertised an "all you can eat lobster night." I had to be there. They only gave us TAILS! Seriously? Just the tails?! I was pretty pissed. And the tails were overcooked, overseasoned, and ultimately disappointing. However, my friend had crab bisque and she said it was pretty good.

Jumby Bay is a rowdy joint in the center of Abacoa's town center. Their menu is pretty standard bar fare. I am a big fan of the chika chika fried chicken salad, but I do feel like a complete glutton after finishing it. The fried chicken is crunchy and layered over a dainty bed of greens. The entire deal is smothered in shredded cheddar and jack cheeses and a really nice sweet mustard dressing. Fridays are happy hour and you really shouldn't expect to hear yourself think. They've got a good scene going, but nothing particularly special. Service is usually adequate and friendly. Proximity to work is a big plus for Jumby. Would I go out of my way to come here from elsewhere? Probably not... unless I was jonesing for that chicken salad and an angioplasty!

For food, or daily drinking, skip jumby and head next door to rooneys, but for Wednesday Night Hysteria, try FLIP NIGHT. Every Wednesday night, hundreds and hundreds (maybe thousands) of people pile into, around, and in-the-street-in-front-of, Jumby Bay. When you get to a bar (they set up half a dozen or so around the location) you call heads or tails and if you are right, drinks free! Seems lame, but pretty much everyone under 35 that lives north of Okeechobee Blvd. and south of Stuart come to this bar on Wednesday Nights, so check it out!

Never again. My night off. Going to relax and have a beer with friends. Sounds simple and easy right? Don't go here unless you want to get completely aggravated over just about everything. And this takes a LOT for me. i have worked in the business for over 20 years bartending, owned my own catering company etc.The staff rude, very rude and if not rude, slow and new which I get the first few times but mixed up with the rude it makes it impossible to relax. Wrong orders, cold orders, orders that never showed up that we were charged for. Orders we never ordered we were charged for. Rude staff, did I say that? incorrect bills more than twice, slow slow rude rude. If we had to be anyplace after dinner we would have never made it waiting on our drinks, food, and check It was like pulling teeth. Foods not bad if you ever get it. Plan on waiting for the wrong check for over 40 minutes. Don't bother complaining to the ownwer she's useless too. So many other fab places to go that are so close don't waste your time here.

WAIT A MINUTE.... HOLY CRAP, FLIP NIGHT ON WEDNESDAYS?!? AM I BACK IN COLLEGE? HELL YEAH, I ROCKED THAT GAME. No really, did I miss something and some flux capacitor was added to the engine of my Escape and/or the Tick Tock (which I SWEAR I never went to once I actually turned 21 unless it was official sorority business) was magically moved from Canton NY to Abacoa? Seriously, I expected to see Coach walk through the door with his blacklist and tell me I wasn't supposed to be there after the infamous green beer puking incident of 1999. But no. It's not the Body Rock. It's 2012. I'm an adult now. Phew. Freakout over. Let the review commence. I've only been here for bar nights, and yes, the infamous flip night (seriously, if the owners of this bar aren't SLUzers, it's a crazy coincidence that they have the same flip night and clientele as the Body Rock-- I know, I need to get over it). Usually I just hang on the patio, grab some bar food while enjoying happy hour. Actually, I don't think I've been here for a meal so I can't say how their food is. Two-for one beer specials-- two Dales Pale Ales for $6? Win. Edible appetizers that really act to help sop up the booze? Win. Given my usual dislike of the younger bar scene, I'm a little surprised how much I enjoy this place for the occasional beer. It must be the two for one specials and proximity to work. Either way, I'm game.

I'm a regular at this place -- if you can count the semi-annual trek to STL Cardinals' Spring Training games as 'regular'. I've always found the service and food to be very good, despite going during what I assume is a pretty chaotic time of year. Broiled seafood sandwiches are yum and the Jambalaya is excellent. Good variety of local / regional beers on tap.

What is it about really bad lighting that makes me avoid places? Jumby Bay is the standard-bearer in this category. Had really bad service too. Food was just plain Mehhh. Good luck Jumby Bay. Side note: what an unmitigated disaster the Abacoa shopping/dining area is. You can plan around a crowd but you can't plan a crowd. Abacoa miscalculated badly in this area. Place is generally a ghost town.

We frequently dine at Jumby Bay. They have a full menu- and have a happy hour two for one on many of the drinks. The Carribbean salad had lots of grilled chicken that was juicy and tender. The blackened Dolphin sandwich is my favorite that comes with fries. When you arrive go to the hostess inside- we usually just sat down at the outside tables for service. The last time we went we were a party of six and sat down at an outside table. The hostess came out with a young couple and she asked us to move inside. There were tables for two outside- but she decided to sit the two at a table for six. I pointed out the other tables but the young blonde hostess seemed not to care. The couple felt sorry and came over to say that they were sorry that the hostess would not let us stay at the larger table. Other than the inflexible hostess- Jumby Bay is a great spot for drinks and food.

Our service was awesome (thank you Lisa!) and the food was exceptional! My boyfriend and I started with the crab dip and jerk toast appetizer which was creamy and full of crab and served on small cuban toasts that were crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. We then had the three lobster tail dinner and found that the lobster was cooked perfectly and so were the vegetables that accompanied it. It was served with drawn butter and fresh lemon. Lastly, we shared desserts which were key lime pie (heavenly) and some peanut butter chocolate pie thing that was out of this world. Throughout the dinner our server was polite, speedy, and made great recommendations. We were not impressed with the interior as it is kind of island corny, but the food and service made us fans.

There were a couple of vegetarian options on the dinner/lunch menu, but nothing easy to veganize and nothing gluten-free AND vegan - even the French fries were cooked in a communal fryer with breaded meats and cheese. I got the impression from our server that food is prepared on a common surface so I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for anyone with a food allergy. The drink specials made the trip worth while, but I got 2 very different sized drinks in the 2 for 1 deal. The staff was accommodating for our large group. The place was alive with college spirit and people having fun, but very loud. Everything was reasonably clean, but needed some work. I imagine some of my sanitation issues went hand in hand with peak hour traffic.

Waited a long time to be greeted then the order was taken with our drink order...that's fine, being a server for a long time I understand being weeded out, but then the follow up and check backs didn't happen. Asked for condiments for the meal when it showed up, but they never came back with them. Asked for a refill too, no drink. Asked another server, no drink. Asked the manager, finally got a drink. I mean come on, I know your busy, but we got our food right at the end of the pop so I don't understand why their pace slowed when we were neglected from the beginning. I am so understanding, but today was a mess.

Honestly, this is the physically dirtiest restaurant I have ever been, and the staff is incredibly rude. Any, and I mean ANY, other place in Jupiter or PBG is more sanitary, and more fun. The food is not good, and once you smell the garbagey smell that permeates the entire inside, you would have to be hard of smelling to order food, unless for scientific study. Place is just gone way downhill, and it seems like there really is no bottom.

I really hate posting negative reviews but after my recent experience here I have to. I've been here probably 6 or 7 times due to the drink specials and food was always decent enough. Last week we took our daughter and ordered her chicken fingers and fries from the kids menu. The kid is almost 3 now so I don't always cut up her food for her but God am I glad I did this time. One of the chicken breasts was completely raw in the middle. Serving a child raw chicken! Are you mad! If this wasn't bad enough, we told the waitress and she apologized and took the chicken away. She never returned with a new order but still charged us the full amount. I was too angry to even say anything. Got the check and left. Won't be back.

I went here on March 20th, 2012 while on vacation and staying right around the corner from the town center where Jumby Bay is. We sat outside and our server was absolutely wonderful. I had her name on the receipt, but I lost it! She had a thick accent and a unique name...anyways, she was so nice and attentive, but not overbearing. As a former waitress, I know good service when I see it and she was it! Both me and my companion were very impressed with her professionalism for such a seemingly dive-ish place. We each got salads. I got the blackened scallop salad and he got the mahi trio salad. I was nervous about the dressing, "ginger citrus", so I got it on the side. Turns out, it is one of the most delicious dressings EVER. Seriously, that stuff was suh guhd. The ample amount of scallops were tender, fresh, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Everything in the salad complimented everything else. My companion's salad came with TONS of seafood and he said it was delicious. We were like, scraping our plates at the end, I'm not kidding. He had vacationed in the area before and this was his second visit to Jumby Bay. The first time, he came at night for drinks only and said that it was the WORST scene and I don't doubt that because it looks like it would be--has that look/vibe. HOWEVER, the day time experience, the only one I had and what I'm reviewing, was great. He, too, remarked that he couldn't believe how good the food was. I probably won't go here at night, but you should check this place out in the day. It is surprisingly good. If you're lucky, you'll get the same waitress too! Also, beers are BOGO during the day AND you get a free beer after the game with your Roger Dean Stadium ticket! Pretty cool.

Terrible service food took close to an hour to make it to our table we were over charged then when we left tipped according to our terrible service and the waitress found it appropriate to chase us down the street to confront us as she was not happy with her tip. Called an spoke to bar manager Antoinette who said she did not find anything wrong with this behavior and was I good at math as she felt her waitress should be tipped 18% and not 15%. Definately would not return.

Jumby has consistently over the years made delicious unique food. It's a great place to meet friends and hang out. You can dine or have cocktails indoor or out. Worth going to.

Wendesday Flip Night. The Best Wednesday Night Party in Palm Beach County. Young and Old. The flip a coin to see if your drink is free. Weekends aren't bad either. Live music is average.

Great place! Fun atmosphere, great bartenders and staff & fun island food! A definite must!!!

Delicious sandwiches and pasta, not to mention 2 for 1 beers everyday.
